Piada Italian Street Food in other cities:
If I could give this a 0 out of 5 I would but since I cant do that Ill give it a 1. This is the most disgusting revolting thing Ive seen in my 18 years of life. When you see the person who is going to be putting your food in the container put food off the counter back in the bowl for others. Do you still want it. No. Not one bit. I recommend any other place but this piada.
11/13/21 At this Piada location, the employee made my order to perfection, just how I like it, and was very friendly, too. I asked for additional sauces, and they were given with no hesitation. I gave the gentleman a 👍🏽 & he was very appreciative. He said, you dont know how much I needed that. 😊 He doesnt know how much I needed my food made correctly. Lol! I was super hungry & my salmon power bowl was delicious! 😋
I cannot make this up - 10 of the last 10 times, Piada at Hilliard Rome has forgotten one or more items in pickup/take out/delivery. This time though takes the cake. They straight up forgot to put pasta and protein in the pasta bowl. If youre going to eat here, dine in so that you can make sure they make your order correctly.
I ordered two bowls from GrubHub. Both bowls had very little food in it even though they were large bowls. Extremely skimpy food. I went in hoping for a good resolution. Instead I had one of their staff argue with me and tell me that they have portion control and thats how its supposed to look. And I was wrong and theres no way Ive gotten more food in a bowl. Ive ordered from the Piada in Dublin and Ive never had an issue with portion sizes. That staff member was so rude and had terrible customer service skills. I will never order from this location again.
Visited here today for lunch they were busy and got my friend and I in and out fast and they made our food well. The only thing is that the dining room had water all over the floor and it was leaking from the ceiling the manager said it was because of the humidity due to the heat.
Came into this location for the first time ever, I saw it on a list of restaurants around me and thought I would give it a try. I was not disappointed! The food was great and yummy I got the calamari and honestly it’s really tasty and worth the value. I came from the east coast and the calamari around there is almost double the price for half the portion!
I was excited to try their food in restaurant as I normally order Piada from Door Dash and found myself very dissatisfied with the quality of service and the piss poor attitude of the staff. The staff were not at all personable and I was greeted as if I were an annoyance to the staff. The food itself was a 2 star at best as the penne noodles I ordered for my Basil Pesto Pasta Bowl were chewy, flavorless, and dry as if they’d been sitting in the bottom of the hot pan for hours. I feel this would of been a more enjoyable meal if I would of just ordered through DoorDash, will not be coming here to eat ever again and will order through DoorDash in the future.
Piada has tasty fresh food at fairly reasonable prices. I normally get a pasta bowl and load it up with my favorite protein, veggies, cheese and sauce. Its a nice switch from other similar take out style Mexican, Asian and sandwich shops. Theyve also got small side salad/bowl options that are a nice choice/addition.
Arrive around 1pm for lunch today 9/27/21. Haven’t been here for a while due to a previous bad experience. I must say for Covid times, this place is not up to standard even for pre-Covid standards. Finger prints, and who knows what else other bodily secretions, all over the food counters, by the register, drink fountains, and don’t get me started on the bathroom doors or bathrooms themselves. But hey, at least your workers are super obnoxious about hounding guests for needing to wear masks. Or maybe they just like that little bit of power they think they have, like the place isn’t Covid smeared everywhere else throughout your restaurant. Maybe have them actively clean when not busy, which you obviously weren’t at the time, and use some alcohol wipes to actually slow the spread and do real work to prevent Covid instead of being a slacktivist with the masks. Practice what your preach or you won’t make it out of this pandemic by still being in business ✌🏼
First time trying this place. Had the avocado piada with grilled chicken. Which is just a fancy wrap that costs $10.50. Ingredients behind the glass looked good & fresh, however it was just way too salty! Like eating a packet of salt with every bite. Not sure if thats how their supposed to be, but really no desire to go back.
Had to wait awhile to place my order - just a pepperoni piada stick. The kitchen/line workers all seemed a little overwhelmed, perhaps they were short staffed. The, I assume head chef who was in fancier clothes than the rest of them had her mask below her nose the whole time which made me uncomfortable, but thankfully Ive been vaccinated. The caahier was cool, and he got me my lemonade from behind the counter.
Always good food and friendly service. Fresh ingredients prepared right in front of you. Just recently got rid of sun-dried tomatoes as a topping but still plenty of other choices.Dont sleep on the calamari. Some of the best you can get and its made fresh when you order it so make sure when you first start your order you tell them you want the calamari so they can get started on it and youre not waiting so long for it after you pay.
The staff here is really great! My family and I were visiting from out of town and we made a quick stop at Piada to grab a meal. It was a rather large order but the staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. I accidentally left an item from my order and when I returned the staff made the item fresh for me! Thanks Piada!!
I have been to this location twice now. I had a salad and water the first time, and pomodoro pasta with meatballs, spinach, and calamari the second time. Also gave the Italian soda a try. Both times, the food was absolutely delicious. However, both times (one time for lunch, another time for dinner), the staff provided very little communication, like I was a burden to them. The food quality will have me coming back again, hopefully with a better staff experience. They say third times the charm, so fingers crossed!
Very much great to eat through door dash because a choice u doesnt want it has option, u can really can choose plus if it said and shown no added it meant they wont add on your food as u order,.. also I love it because, they make side meals to fill your stomach appetizer, choice it perfect and dessert great to have as order 💯%
This place is the bomb! Ive come here about 10 times in the last month and each and every meal Ive had here has left me in absolute awe. The calamari is fresh, the wraps are made to order, and the avocados are always ripe. I enjoy there piada wraps and especially enjoy anything with their legendary diavolo sauce. The basil pasta is also scrumptious. Keep up the good food! Youll be seeing me again soon.
Great food.. Better service..Im a new customer that has been here 5 or 6 times. I have to watch what I eat due to health problems. The food is amazing. Top notch. And the staff is awesome, they are friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied. I will be back many times. Thanks
I enjoy the food. However the grab-and-go service is decidedly subpar. And this is consistently the case at the Hilliard location. My most recent order was scheduled to be done by 645; by 10 after 7 they had not even started making the order. I do not recommend this location at all due to their service.Edit: order finally completed at 735
Chef Nick and his staff were very polite and courteous. We had a party of 7 and they helped us out since most were first time cutomers. Everything was fresh and hot! I enjoyed a bowl of the Basil Pesto Pasta with Salmon. We enjoyed the clean atmosphere and quick service immensely. I will be back on my next visit to Hilliard, Ohio.
First timer here and fell in love! So many options and the best calamari I have ever had. I was so impressed with the staff too! I really want to thank the manager there, Nick, for all his time with me. He came out from behind the counter and walked me through the menu then explained how the ordering works. Then he walked me through the line giving suggestions and allowing me to try a few different items. He spent over 5 minutes of his day to just ensure I would have the best possible lunch! Ive never had or even expected such service at a restaurant such as this but I am more than impressed and will be back!
I had to change my initial below review.Since I posted the owner reached out and promised to work on making things better.I have visited the store twice since, and so far it’s been impressive. The worst Piada ever, inconsistent about the meat portions. Hit or miss on freshness. The employees seem as they working for free and don’t want to be there. I am surprised they are still in business. And worst of all management or social media handlers only replies to good reviews.
I work right across the street and usually come in once a week. I swear Ive have never been to any other restaurant where the staff is always so cheerful and fun along with food consistently being amazing. Escarlet always greets me and knows my order by heart. She is always as nice as her makeup looks and Nick is so outgoing and can always put a smile on my face even when having one of the worst days. I can always rely on them on turning around the second part of my day as they both did for me today. I truly appreciate everyone there.
I absolutely love this location. They are one of the few Piada locations that will cook steak to order to ensure freshness and quality. When they replace the food they never dump the old food on top of the fresh food which truly makes a difference in flavor. The team goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service and cleanliness of the store.
Unbelievable. No microwave or freezer on site. Fresh food. Excellent service. I just ate the farmers market salad. You can absolutely tell the difference in quality between this and Panera. Nothing here tastes like it was shipped to the restaurant in a plastic box and mearly assembled on site like a Lego set. My only complaint about the restaurant is that I live in another area and we dont have one where I am from.
Customer Service at this location is always terrible. Food is subpar with the occasional good bowl made. Forget about doing an online pick up order, did that once and they didnt read any of the notes; had to stand there for 10 minutes while they remade everything. Its a shame because my husband and I really like Piada.
So I was having an amazing day and thought there was no way it was gonna change for better or worse. Then I went to Piada... these people actually make me feel amazing!!! My day just went from amazing to phenomenally terrific!!! They always greet me with a smile and ask me how I’m doing and seem to genuinely mean it!! I don’t know a single one of there employees personally but I go here so often and see the same smiling faces almost everytime! The managers, cooks, and line servers are all so positive! I’d almost ask to work here part time just to make friends with them! That’s one of the strangest statements I’ve ever made but 100% factual!! I hope they read this so they know how thankful I am they run this place sooo outrageously friendly!!
Absolutely terrible service. I wanted to give it zero stars. The chef was rude, didnt communicate with the check out girl, did not hand her our breadsticks even though he wrapped them for us. I had to wait too long for a simple beer because no one knew how to pour it. There was no one in the dining room when we arrived and yet, the service was slow. The chef seemed confused and was rude to my sister, Go wait up there when he was busy with replenishing noodles. To top it off the food was wayyyy over salted.I definitely do not recommend this Piada to anyone who enjoys the Piada food chain.Very disappointed. Will not be returning.
Very clean and modern decor and very quick service. Takes about as long to get your food as other fast casual places. I like the pasta and salad combo, it is a good amount of food for one person. I normally will have leftovers for later when choosing that option! I have enjoyed everything Ive had from here. Get yourself a piada stick!
Put in an online order at 6:00 for Pick up at 7:45 didn’t receive it for over an hour ended up asking for a refund. When we asked about the status of our order the manager gave us the worst attitude ignored us fulfilling all the new orders coming in afterwards. Horrible service over all and ended up going home with nothing after wasting time.
As you see in picture, large untouched bowl of chicken fettuccine alfredo and two pepperoni sticks equals out to $16 and some change. The guy with tattoos on his forearms puts a small portion in the large bowl. Look at the quantity here. For $16, I could go down the street to Chipotle and get ripped off for half the price. The quantity in the pic is a rip off. Never again. This is a joke. Shouldve charged me the $12 or whatever the small bowl is.
Tonight I went to this location with two of my friends and the chef provided the best dining experience. They ran out of zuccchini and I did not want to hold up the line so I simply went outside and enjoyed my meal. Two minutes later the chef personally brings out a side of fresh zucchini out to me. All the workers were pleasant and the food was excellent!!!
I received poor service and the food was so so. I was told that I could customize my food, but the employee just quickly made my food without asking me what I would like on it. Also did not out the sauce on that I had asked for. Over 8 dollars for poor service and poorly seasoned food? No thanks. Called the Italian Chipotle, but that an insult to Chipotle. Next time Ill just make a healthier, tastier meal at home the way I want it. Never get bad service from myself.
Went up on their prices but gives the same small amount of meat. Also no longer has ANGEL HAIR pasta. The girl who made my bowl says they switched to thin spaghetti noodles instead. I didn’t like it at all. Had to get DOUBLE crispy chicken, they give such a small amount AND raise the prices. $13 bowl is ridiculous. Never going back. So disappointed.
Piada has great food, which I have learned to always be true. There customer service is always above average. However, my visit today was one of the best customer service experiences I have had at any fast casual restaurant and possibly restaurant visits in general. The staff was amazing and engaging. Will definitely return!
I had an issue with an online order and called the store and they were super nice and accommodating. Chef Mike went above and beyond to take care of me and definitely took care of the situation way better than I would have expected. Food was excellent and customer service is absolutely superb.
Terrible customer service experience. I went to the Piada on Hilliard Rome Rd. for lunch break because I work in the area. After standing in line for 25 minutes. Not once has any of their waiters advised customers that their credit card machine was down. However, after having me wait for that long soon as I arrived to choose my menu dish, they wouldn’t serve me due to their inconvenience. I went back to work without lunch. They didn’t seem to care about my time our my business. Management need to train employees on how to communicate with consumers.
I ordered twice from DoorDash ... avocado piada with salmon added, calamari fritto misto, blackberry hibiscus lemonade, farmers market salad ... everything was amazing, fresh, so flavorful!! I swear this is the best food I’ve ever had. I would eat here every day if there was one close to where I live. My order was also correct both times, with fork & knife in the bag. Highly recommendEdit: I still think about the food here over a year later ... 400 miles away lol
Chef Scarleth (what it says on receipt) was absolutely terrible tonight. We frequent this location and tonight was the first time we have received this kind of service. I ordered a kids meal pasta bowl. They charged us for a regular bowl. Brought the receipt in (we were eating outside) and she said we did not get a kids meal size bowl. How is that my fault? I ordered a KIDS MEAL. They shouldve given me the right size bowl. I dont work there, they do. They should know which bowl to give me. She argued with me and refused to refund us. Editing to add that the kids meal was for our 4 year old daughter. My summer bowl was half filled and my husbands Piada was not filled either. DISAPPOINTED IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!
I did an online pick up order and it said it wouldn’t be ready for 30 minutes- and I was already pulling in. I had kids in the car and ran in and asked if it could be rushed... Sarah was awesome and immediately put it together, and gave me a free beverage for waiting! Thanks for being so understanding, we will definitely come back again!
Service was slow and chaotic even though they appeared well staffed and not busy. I got the Steak Avocado Piada. The Piada would have been pretty good if it wasnt for the main ingredient, steak. Dont expect Chipotle quality Steak here, think a grade above Taco Bell. It was the saltiest steak Ive ever had in my life! Unfortunately, it overpowered the entire Piada and I was unable to taste much of the other ingredients. The clearly frazzled manager had such little faith in his crew that he had to dissemble my Piada in front of me to check for accuracy. The only plus on this visit was the great crunchy texture of the fresh arugula as well as the free drink given by the manager.
Chef Nick is always knowledgeable about creations and suggestions for the best eateries that make my mouth water. The rest of the staff of Sidney, Genevieve, Yasmin and Queela were exceptional with customer service and making sure we were satisfied with our selections.
Worst experience- place an on-line order- which they said they never received. There was a huge line. The cashier told there wasn’t an order for me and if I wanted food would have to go wait in the line. She was incredibly rude. There was no organization in the kitchen the line took forever. Will never go back to this Piada.
The pasta in the saute pan was covered with a serving bowl when I alkedwalked up to create my bowl. Does this keep it warm? Lol I doubt it. I thought about leaving at that moment but for some reason I didnt. I began my order but it was obvious the young lady making my bowl had no desire or motivation to make it and create a decent experience for me as a paying customer. Any time I asked for a food ingredient, she acted like I was just running her day. Smh. So I completed my order and then I asked for their bread/ tortilla and she once again acted like she knew nothing about what I was asking for. Who knows, her service could just be a reflection on her age and lack of training/ work experience.
Horrible service, mediocre food. Requested a salad from the menu and the employee started making something else. I pointed out I thought he was making the wrong thing, he noticed he was, so he started over. Twice. Then, after the cashier rang us up, we realized she charged us for a pepperoni roll that we had not ordered. When we asked if she could refund it, she asked if instead of a refund, we would just take a free drink so that she wouldn’t have to. We were too exhausted from the horrible line staff already that we just took the drink and left. We won’t ever be returning to the Hilliard location. The Easton location is 30 minutes from us, and I would still make that drive to avoid coming to this location.
I typically love this place, but tonight, not so much. They were dead, the toppings bar was a gross mess, 4 pieces of calamari, the lead was talking so loudly that none of the other staff could hear our order. The bathroom was a mess and completely devoid of toilet paper. You have 20 staff and two customers, maybe someone could clean?
I used to love piada because its plentiful options but recently they have limited their topping options and their size. When I used to eat piada I couldnt finish it by myself and would have to take half of it home but now I can eat almost all of it by myself and the variety of toppings and size just isnt worth it for the 8 dollar price now. If you have the money then its worth it solely for the taste and unique concept.
Amount of sauce, chicken, and feta in the large pasta bowl was barely enough to work with a dish 1/4 the size. When ordering a pasta dish I shouldnt have to add additional sauce portions to ensure proper sauce to pasta ratio. The cheese was skimpy at best. Only about 1/4 a chicken breast. Better sauce, chicken, and cheese portions at Noodles.
We love Piada! Its my husbands favorite restaurant. I love the pasta bowels - I think the actual Piada wrap doesnt work well as a burrito and always falls apart. The Piada sticks though are absolutely amazing and could fill you up alone. The Italian soda here is pretty popular. And if you havent been here, this is basically the Chipotle of Italian food!
Came here back in November. I remember I got some meatball pasta or whatever. Im not the biggest Italian fan but between how overwhelming the sauce was or how the meatball looked like it was steamed (it was grey and kind of repulsive when I cut it open) I lost my appetite. Ended up tossing it out after forcing down a couple of bites. Felt a bit nauseous afterwards, the sauce was just so ridiculously strong I tasted it for the rest of the day. Definitely never coming here again.
Piada is a great place to eat. I would consider it the Italian Chipotle Youre basically making an Italian burrito with ingredients of your choice. Or they have menu items as well. I always get the fried calamari, which is really good by any standards. Not too mention Piada originated in Columbus, so keeping it local is always good.
Terrible! I dont know what happened to this place but it is not the Piada we used to love. Tonight we ordered online, showed up at the time it stated only to find out it wasnt ready. While waiting, 2 other people come in and they make their food first. Then they start our order. 2 more people come in and they stop ours to make theirs. Then the male worked takes out our sticks from the bag and hands it to the other people, which makes us wait for new ones because they needed theirs now. Ok. Now we get home and here is what we have... the sticks are wrong. We ordered 1 pepp and 1 cheese and received 2 pepp. No big deal right? Except for the food allergies. The we open the pasta... No meat... added sundried tomatoes (a TON) and it was cold. Opened up the piada and its cold. Then we open their other cheese side and its just saw cheese inside, not melted or cooked. What an absolute waste of $30. Never going back and will not be suggesting it to anyone again. Just get takeout from Olive Garden.
So I’m a piada and I come here almost every week... they seemed to have pretty good service. I went into piada on a Saturday nobody was in line.... it was cool. But when I walk in the workers were talking amongst them self and I stood in the line for about 4 mins. Then I proceed to walk out because the workers were socializing instead of taking my order I am super upset because I come here all the time and all I wanted was some pasta.
Food taste great. Ingredients prepared fresh. Down side: I asked an employee what was in a corn mixture. She couldnt tell me and neither could the cashier. Also the soda dispenser needs cleaned. Soda was dispensing at an angle and stuck after I stopped dispensing. Sprayed soda everywhere.
The service was horrible!! Could not get anyone to take my order. Finally, associate starts my order after 10 mins of waiting. Then does not finish the order. Leaves it on the counter starts filling up the food containers. Total time 20mins. Before leaving without any food.
This placed was surprisingly great. Set up like a Chipotle, but the food selection is Italian. An Italian Chipotle. Has that industrial / modern look and feel to the interior design. Plenty of space inside and out to eat. Although some would think it is pricy, you definitely get the portions that you paid for.
I myself have never been to one before, but have had many friends who have, so this was my first time. This is the Chipotle of Italian food. The concept works fairly well and wasnt too confusing for me. From what I gathered, theres about three main options, Salads, Pasta bowls, and Piadas (they look like an Italian burrito). They also offer several soups, some side breads and piada sticks (fancied up bread w/ pepperoni or some cheese (they smell good, as I first have seen these while attending a concert at the LC Pavillion). Location is spacious and was very clean. Service went quickly and smooth.
Their motto seems to be; lets make the ordering process as difficult and complex as possible, but rush people, who are obviously confused, through the process, just to explain at the end if the line that their food isnt actually ready. Its January, probably 30 degrees outside. It could not have been above 50 degrees in this restaurant. Going forward, Ill just order online, so I can get what I want.
I ordered carbonara pasta with added fried chicken, zucchini/mushrooms and mozzarella cheese. There were three small pieces of chicken, zero cheese , zero mushrooms and my zucchini was soggy/brown. This was my second time having piada and my last. I tried to call the store I purchased from bu tthe hone # just rang busy. Out $10 and STILL hungry.

2022-01-13Placed order online at approx 2:40 pm for a 3 pm pickup time. I picked up at 3:02 pm. I ordered the Carbonara Pasta with salmon, regular size. A tad light on the sauce. It was not hot, just barely warm by the time I got home 5 minutes later which tells me they had it done a bit before 3 pm. Other than exceptions noted, it was very good.

2022-07-15We decided to take advantage of the free delivery offer that Piada had going on this week. Unfortunately, the tip amount that we left for the driver didn’t go through on the app for some reason. We couldn’t add it after the order was placed so we called and spoke to the manager. His name was Frank. He was very helpful and eager to assist with the issue even though the deliveries technically go through DoorDash. It was appreciated 👍

2022-03-30One star was generous. They had so many to go orders that it took them a good 10 mins to get to the line of customers inside. Once we got food we ran to the bathroom, which had a leak in the floor with a huge puddle. Once we ate the food, we felt like it was ok but not great like at other locations. We paid for eating the average food because 2 hours later it came out the other end for me and made my stomach super upset and my daughter vomited 5 times over the course of a few hours. Do not eat at this location.

2022-04-09First of all… the food is amazing which got it 4 stars, second of all, they gave me 2 straws for one drink, which is amazing.

2022-06-06Probably the worst Piada I’ve been too. Has never gotten our online order right and they’re really unorganized. Today we went in and ordered 2 items and they forgot to put the sauce on my Piada so I’m just not impressed. Piada is great, no problems at the other locations, I just wouldn’t recommend this location

2022-07-19Food is usually on par. Workers seem miserable. Asian girl up front isnt very nice. Young kid with a mustache always has an attitude. Managers are always nice.

2022-06-27Love Piada’s but this location is getting worse and worse. Furthermore when you request fresh cooked salmon they start speaking in Spanish to one another. I am done!!!

2022-01-29Ordered curbside, waited less than 2 minutes for my order after arriving. I double checked it upon getting it because I had not wanted meat on it- but the dish was commonly served with it. It did have meat, so I went back in. The man behind the counter quickly corrected it and remade it in front of me! Super professional and courteous. I expect mistakes- service industry isnt easy, how he handled it was much appreciated! My favorite piada location for a reason 😁
