Piada Italian Street Food in other cities:
Loved the new menu, although the dish i got was too spicy but that was due partially to my ignorance yo their terminology. It would’ve been nice if the dishes that are hot in flavor were highlighted on the menu. Nothing like ending a long day and splurging $12 on a meal you can’t eat!
Fair warning: Do not order online at this location under any circumstances. (Ive generally had a good experience dining in). If you do-- one of these things will inevitably happen: (1) Missing items from your order, usually something for your kids, (2) Food not prepared as specified or (3) my favorite, which happened last night-- your food wont be ready for a long time regardless of the fact that you ordered it for pick-up at a specific time. My toddlers review: Piada is NOT NICE TO FRIENDS!!!!
I asked for NO cranberries in my salad, they still put cranberries in it. I asked for corn and tomato with broccoli the lady said ok that will be extra $$ I said that’s fine so I know she heard me. I did not receive any of that and probably paid extra for it. I’m very disappointed.
Edit: lane ave still the worst. and now they dont even answer the phones to field complaints. worst of the worst. if you have the option, go to any other location than Lane Ave. food quality is just getting worse & the customer service is horrible (promising refunds they never give when you pay $6 for a half salad and get a pathetic display of lettuce and no other ingredients). they have successfully screwed up almost every order Ive placed in the recent months (unless its something easy like a pepperoni stick). you would think I would learn, but we order from here a lot for work so its convenient and i keep giving them the benefit of the doubt. do not recommend this location.
I dont visit Piada often, but when I want one I always come to this location. They were clearly short staffed on my most recent visit, but they kept the line moving and the energy was great. By the time I got to pay, I had forgotten about the wait Id experienced. Billie really made my day!
I ate for my first time yesterday [9-13-2021] at Piada Italian Street Food near Upper Arlington [at 1315-A W. Lane Ave.].The space is nicely-designed; the service had been friendly and efficient; the food had been delicious. I had been there during a lunch hour rush; the line -- that had been long at times -- kept moving very efficiently.I do not drive; I am only occasionally in that neighborhood with plans to eat. However, yesterday, I had had a medical appointment on OSUs West Campus during the early afternoon so I intentionally scheduled additional time for walking from my home to my appointment on West Campus so that I would be able to stop at Piada Italian Street Food on the way.It had been great to be able to study the Piada menu, in advance, on-line. I do want to mention here that I do not recall ever having seen so many unfamiliar words while reading a menu. A glossary on the Piada website [or at least links for the unfamiliar-to-me words] would have been extremely helpful. After having spent several minutes standing near Piadas front door, moments after I had arrived, carefully studying their easy-to-read large-print menu on a large display board, I decided to order Basil Pesto Pasta and got into line. While waiting in line, I realized that I had missed the Pick a Protein section of their menu [because that section had been near the bottom of the large display board [and outside of my normal field of vision] so I decided to add Italian Sausage as a protein when ordering my Basil Pesto Pasta. My one frustration with my visit to Piada Italian Street Food had been that it had been extremely difficult for me to hear and understand the spoken words of the people who had been working behind the ordering counter. I had to request -- several times -- that they repeat the questions that they had been asking me because I had barely been able to hear those questions. We eventually heard each other [some of our communication had actually been via gestures]. I then moved to the payment location, paid for my meal, carried my food to my table, and then ate an absolutely delicious meal.I definitely plan to return to Piada Italian Street Food near Upper Arlington the next time when I am in that neighborhood and am able to visit there. Now that I better understand their menu and the ordering process, I am aware of several additional items on their menu that I hope to be able to order in the future.
We used to have one of these in Michigan and unfortunately it shut down after only being open for under a year. I was only able to try it once and loved it, now about 4 years later I was able to try this place again as my wife and I were driving through and it did not disappoint. Good fresh food and I would definitely recommend.
Food was great. Ordered the crispy chicken blt and I had to wait a few minutes for the fresh chicken, but it was worth it. Majority of the staff was amazing. Except the girl in the white chefs coat. I’m assuming she was a manager. Everyone else was kind, but you could tell she does not enjoy her job and there is tension amongst her and the others. Made me uneasy. Peach tea was amazing.
I ordered a meal at 5:30PM through the website and was told to arrive at 6PM for a pickup curbside. I arrive at 6PM and alert the staff that I am here by responding to there text. They make me wait 10 minutes, I have to beep and call them 3 times before they come out and tell me they no longer offer curbside pickup. I have 2 major concerns:1) If you dont offer curbside pickup, update your website to reflect that you do not offer curbside pickup. Also remove the signs in front of your store that states you offer curb side pickup.2) They would have never come out unless I called / went in to pickup my food.Im very dissatisfied with your operations. You need to update your website, update the signs in front of your store and only offer services you actually will honor. Get it together.
I want to love this location because it is the closest to me - but I’ve had at least two times where a customized online order was incorrect on pick up. I think my biggest pet peeve is I always have to ask the cashier for my pick up order because it is not at the Grab & Go station. Maybe I should start using the drive thru. Otherwise - food is delicious and I enjoy the loyalty program Piada offers
Great food and reasonable prices. The ingredients are everything. Some of the best calamari you can find, great italian sausage, chicken, you cant go wrong. If youre a student dont forget to bring your ID during the discount hours to get a good price and a drink included.
I had a 25$ gift card and got through my entire order and the line to pay and redeem it to be told the system was down and they couldn’t accept it. So they’d rather waste my order and have me go home without food. This seems to be standard service at these locations now. I came to this one because Bexley had given me cold food but not getting to even get my food is a whole other ordeal. Absolutely pathetic customer service.
Ate here for the first time today with a friend and loved it! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The place itself had nice wide walkway and lots of seating of different kinds, some high tops with stools and then half booths and plain tables with chairs, good access. The island counter with drink machine and silverware had a neat device which you just pulled the plastic ware by the end out of a slot so great for limiting contact too!
My order cost was $34.63. The cashier did not give me a receipt, so I do not have an order number. I ordered 3 regular sized and one large pasta dishes. When I got home, and picked the bag up, sauce dripped on my pants, lunch box and and winter coat. I looked inside and saw that the cashier had placed one of the containers sideways so everything would fit in the bag. Why would she do that, the lids are not leak proof. Now my pants are ruined, my coat smells like pasta and the lunch box I take to work has orange stains on it. In the future be careful. I am annoyed.
Ordered online during what seemed to be a slow time for then and the food was late, and the two bowls we ordered was skimpy of everything we ordered. There wasnt even enough alfredo to cover the noodles. Everything tasted great, of course, but this location seems stingy (one piece of pancetta?) I suggest getting your Italian street food fix elsewhere.
I was hesitant to give 5 stars just because of the prices but I know that I can be somewhat cheap at times. With that said, the 3 times we have gone to this location the food has been very delicious and very fresh. It has also been surprisingly filling (at least for me). It doesnt look like very big portions but I have always left feeling very full. The Piada sticks are delicious, but have found the amount of cheese in them vary. Sometimes there is a lot and other times not as much... but still delicious.
Bad attitudes. I came in for a pickup order. The girl at the counter asked our names and called back to the woman making the pickup orders. She snapped back that my order would be a while because I was early. It was 4 minutes before the pickup time in the app. Not that early, and the girl at the counter was the one who asked, anyway. To top it off, the order was late being made, anyway. Go to the one on Sawmill if you really want Piada. Theyre way nicer there. And theyre never late.
June 2020 (2 stars) - Our family orders from this location at least a few times each month, picking up from the drive thru for convenience. The ingredients are consistently fresh and very tasty. The problem is that we also consistently have mistakes to our order, as in items ordered not included in the final product. Crazy that even with a receipt that should serve as a checklist, the staff is regularly thrown off - this is impossible to check in the drive thru and a real let down when the reveal at the kitchen table is a Huge fail.... like no meat in a pasta dish.7:30pm 10 July 2020 - Had a great meal! Ordered online and picked up at the drive thru. (Checked the order in the drive thru) Everything was Fresh and Delicious and Appreciated after a long day. We continue to come back to Piada bc the ingredients are unique and very good. Only suggestion is to thoroughly check your order if picking up at the drive thru - it’s worth the hassle. (Upgraded to 4 stars)
Piada officially lost my business today. I placed an online order with 30 minutes between ordering and pickup. When I arrived, my food was not ready and the cashier was rude to me when I had to ask twice if they even had the order. On top of that, the salad portions are now laughably small for the cost AND they completely forgot to put the protein I paid for on the salad. My office is nearby so I am a frequent customer. This is not the first time my order was late. Nor was it the first time the cashier was rude to me. Shrinking portions with increasing prices and receiving an incomplete order clinched it. I will not be returning.Cant wait for Brassica to open down the street.
Hadn’t been to Piada in a while and it’s clear growth and expansion has taken a huge toll on quality and service. Ordered a Salmon Balsamic Salad and a make your own salad to go. Order process was disjointed and not friendly with much confusion despite being the only customer in line. Paid and drove home only to find they failed to put the salmon on the balsamic and the sausage on the make your own was cold and extremely dry. Called to get a credit and no answer! The phone prompt clearly discouraged call to the store. This is an unacceptable experience and level of service. The quality, service and experience that Piada once offered is clearly gone. Disappointed.
OK, so my first time here. Absolutely blown away. Got a Piada, the Chef Special one, with Italian sausage on it. It was 1, huge, 2, super fast, 3 freaking delicious. Would absolutely recommend this place. Kudos to you guys for a job well done. Thanks for a great meal.
Its been a long time since Ive been to one of these restaurants, but they sure are add good as I remember. Its a nice change of pace. The one Im reviewing was very clean and well staffed. They were all friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is more driven to millennials I feel. This would be a great place to take your date.
I placed an order on mobile app at 5:29(with email proof) and the ready to pick up time is 5:45. When I arrived at the store at 5:45, they said they didn’t receive my order. The online ordering system is a joke. Not until 5:50 they said they finally received my order and the prep time is at least half an hour. In this case, why would I order ahead for pick up?!!The employee is extremely rude. Thomas A is extremely rude. He pretended he couldn’t understand me and was not interested in helping me until I am obviously very annoyed.
This is a place where you fill out your order by constructing it on a dry-erase menu. Pick a meatball, then your base, then sides or additions. They do table service, but th food is pretty good. Its fast paced but you can also relax and have a good evening. Pretty standard veer and wine selection typical of Columbus, but pretty descent food and affordable .
I love Piada but this location has really deteriorated. They prioritize online orders, which is ok, but when theres a line to the door and no one inside is being helped its an issue. They also have become very sparse with toppings. Today I got a small pasta bowl with spinach on top and the girl only put 2 singular leaves of spinach on it. I told her its my only topping and id like a bit more so she counted out another 2 leaves. My husband couldnt stop laughing my bowl looked so ridiculous. My growling stomach didnt find it as comical.
Wrong food every time big mistake and never answer the phone LOSERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!might as well shut it down.
Often crowded at lunchtime so there can be long lines, but pretty consistent quality and generous portions. Slightly overpriced. $1.75 to add a little avocado?? Its in season. I could buy 3 at the store for that. But somebody else just made my lunch for me so Ill pony up the money.
I visited the store on 1/26/2020 at 8:30 pm and had a horrible experience. My boyfriend ordered pepperoni piada stick with his meal and the girl Abby at the register did not bag the item when it was next to the register and did not charge us for it. After I check my bag, I noticed the pepperoni piada stick was missing so I told her that she forgot to bag the stick and did not charge us for it. instead of doing the right thing by just charge me the food and give it to me. Miss Abby did not say a thing and she clock out left the register and took off her apron. I dont expect luxury service for a $30 meal, but please make that your worker are trained to do what they are paid for.
Food is delicious and always up to par with other Piada. Staff are friendly and helpful, even when its peak time. theres a drive through so you can order online BUT theres not sensor so you be may stuck at the window for a few minutes (which can seem a lot if you are just sitting there or on a hurry).
Good fresh food, but seems to put on airs about its class. The decor is nice and chic with dark browns and matte black contrasting white walls, but its function lacks. The chairs are uncomfortable and the tables are rather high. The food is good as I said, and fresh too. Prices are about what youd pay at a market competitor like Chipotle, Panera, or Noodles.
I was not familiar with this chain as we dont have them where Im from no one was super helpful guiding me through the concept but since its Chipotle-esque I guess they figured that was help enough. The piada was good. The only thing I didnt understand is why the cashier handling the payments was the one who rolled the sandwich into its shape w/o changing gloves.
I used to love Piada. But like all chains once they get to this size, the quality of the food and the experience declines. I ordered from this location for the first time and did drive thru pickup. I took it to a park to eat when I discovered they didnt get me any forks or utensils! How are you supposed to eat a pasta bowl without a friggin fork?! So, sadly - this experience and the low-quality foods results in a 1 star rating. Get it together, Piada.
The staff is just fantastic!! I came in today on a whim to pick up lunch and left with a giant smile! What a wonderful experience- everyone is so nice and helpful! They treated each person before me with such care and patience. It was a pleasure picking up my lunch from this location today!!
Its a good run-of-the-mill location. The service is friendly, and the waiting time in line is usually reasonable. One time I had an experience in which someone on the line kept wiping the counter with their glove before reaching into the food containers to top customers orders. I asked if they could change their gloves, which they did. Other than that, no major issues.
Food here is great as is expected from a piada restaurant, but the staff seemed judgemental of me and my date. I had the sausage and the diavolo sauce which was excellent! In another experience with this restaurant I ordered it on door dash and received the wrong order. My complaint was never resolved or even responded too, but I blame this more on door dash then I do Piada.
Definitely not a fan. The noodles were hard, the toppings were skimpy, the alfredo-style sauce was not good. I feel like its really cheaply done all around, trying to capitalize off of chipotle style - but not using quality ingredients and not keeping things fresh on the line. I may try it again because people really love it, maybe I was there on an off day.
Generally I like the food, but I decided to try a meatball one day and had an issue. Their is no signage listing the additional price of the meatball and no one said it would be $4 extra. No one should be ambushed with that at the end of the line while checking out. This should be addressed.
Theres a reason the line is usually out the door here.. The food is real good and theres nothing else like it. I usually get the calamari on a salad but there are plenty of options for those of you not watching your carbs. Expect to spend $10 though, even without getting a drink, but this is one instance where the pricier lunch is worth it. Oh and dont let the long line scare you, it usually moves fast.
This place is phenomenal, something that everyone should try if theyve never had Piada before. The menu is simple and straightforward, but you also have the option to create your own meal. Each location has a professional head chef which overlooks everything and everything is cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favor and get a piada stick (or two) they are mouthwatering.
It was our first ever Piada experience. One we not only regret, but also will lead us to probably never return. The entire experience was utter deplorable. Everything from the customer service to the food. We first arrived after doing some research on food options and the process. We go out often, and are familiar with the Piada process. We arrived with a game plan and were lucky because their was no line. We started our order and nothing seemed to go right. We order a salad and 2 pastas. His portion sizes were completely different. The first pasta was half the size of the second. He splashed a touch of sauce on each and slid them on. We got salmon on the salad and the hot chicken on the second bowl. I asked him 3 different times for 2 pepperoni sticks which he ignored. So I figured you ordered them at the register. As we moved to the next station, things grew a little worse. She was completely disengaged, rude, and sloppy with everything she touched. Her attitude almost deterred us from order toppings. She huffed at every item she had to put on the food. Several times casting scornful looks when I was not sure of the topping due to a lack of labels. She slammed everything together and slid things on. The young man at the register was about the best part of the experience. He was very polite. As he was ringing us up, he confirmed our meal. He called for 2 pepperoni sticks, which were now sold out and the groups behind us all had sticks with their bowls. It was an 8 minute wait from fresh ones. I settled for the other kind. He called out for the hot chicken, again, they were out and this was a 4 minute wait. He moved our food to the side to continue ringing others up. This is when we asked about the size difference in the pasta dishes. He agreed stating the one dish was much less but then shrugged if off and mentioned nothing he could do about it. He then offered us water as we waited. Exactly 7 minutes went by before the cook in the back pulled the chicken. I was the only hot and 3 people behind us had plain crispy. She proceeded to cut and prep all of the others prior to ours. Finally the cashier turned back and called out for our hot chicken so he could finish out our transaction. By this time, our food had been sitting for more than 10 minutes. Needless to say, it was awful. Everything was dry and cold. The sticks had cooled and turned into rocks. I could only eat the center 6 inches. The salmon had crusted and cooled. It turned incredibly dry and chewy. We actually removed it from the salad. The pastas had absorbed any juices and were dry and nasty. It was a truly disappointing and disgraceful first experience at Piada. Piada 3/5/19 7:07 pm T2#2287 20289 Host: Blaise
This is not about the store, this is about Piadas online ordering for small groups. I am unable to place an order online for tomorrow because it requires the address to be submitted first, however when I do this it wipes out the delivery time I put in. So I went back and forth 4 times before giving up because no matter what THE ORDER CANNOT BE PLACED USING YOUR ORDERING SYSTEM. So now I am waiting for a catering representative to call me back.Your food = good, your website = Chernobyl circa 1986Piada, please give us feedback options that dont require selecting a location because now that poor store is going to get a negative rating due to the website designers incompetence.
Bad service today. They botched my order. Chef Eric ignored me when I came in to get the order corrected, after telling me to talk to him personally. Just sat around chatting with his buddies. His employees resentfully did his job for him (after 10 minutes) and did their best to barely fulfill the order.
Crispy chicken is my favorite food here. Online order takes a while to handle. Last week I ordered the crispy chicken online, and when I drove there after 15 minutes after placing the order, I still waited another 15 minutes for my food, which is weird to me because it usually takes no more than 5 minutes for my food to be ready when I order inside the store.
I usually never have a problem with piada. Last night I visited your west lane location for the Bogo special. I had no issues with the wait time or the long line. So once I got home and ate everything seemed fine but now all this morning I cant stop throwing up, o have cold chills and Im weak and can hardly move. I definitely have food poisoning and now am completely turned off and will not be eating here anymore. I loved piada and its unfortunate I just hope no one else is going through this.
Great service at this flagship Piada location. Keep in mind that everything down the line past the meats (minus soups and sides) are no extra charge, so load up on toppings to get your moneys worth. You know youve done a good job when theyre having trouble rolling up your piada and/or your food reigns above the rim of your bowl.
Two out of towners who had new clue what Piadas was all about .The staff was so friendly and walked us through all the delicious fillings! Everyone was so nice and the food was absolutely amazing. High quality and for a great price . DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT CANOLI CHIPS .. simply amazing!
I came in to order 150 pasta bowls for my friends barbecue (it was just us watching the spongebob movie in his backyard but he was really hungry) and it took them almost 2 hours to complete the order! Absolutely unacceptable and completely unreasonable if you ask me. Plus, they wouldn’t let me bring my water gerbil into the store so he was left to wait in the car probably SCARED OUT OF HIS MIND for the two hours it took them to finish making my order. Unethical and wrong. Two stars
I frequent the Lane Ave. location at least once a week. I have gotten the same power bowl with extra sauce since it has come out. I was actually in the taste testing panel before they launched this particular bowl and porchetta. Today I ordered online and requested extra sauce(as usual) and picked up in the drive thru. When I got back to my office, much to my dismay, I was given a bowl with no sauce on it and 2 COMPLETELY different sauces on the side. I remember during my taste testing panel that the Lane Ave location is notorious for making order mistakes. I had no time to go back to get the correct sauces so I called the restaurant to notify them of the mistake expecting an apology and compensated with another bowl but instead spoke with one of the rudest people in customer service, Javae. She literally went ROUND AND ROUND with me about my order for almost 5 minutes even after being told by another co-worker to put my name in the book for a future bowl on the house. Finally, I said I do NOT have time to argue with you about a lunch that I do not get to eat and ended the call. RUDE RUDE RUDE
This would have been a 5 star meal, but I was shocked to take a bite out of my salad this afternoon only to nearly break my tooth on chicken bones! Im very disappointed, as this location is conveniently located on my route to and from work and a great spot to stop for lunch or dinner without going out of my way. Looks like now I will be going out of my way to eat elsewhere.
A portion of the menu will be unavailable during open hours due to employment cleaning the Fryers too early and closing down their stations. Its difficult for late workers such as myself to drive over to Piada before closing only to realize a portion of the menu is unavailable.. although the store is apparently still open. Thanks for consecutive days of failure Piada on West Lane Avenue Columbus Ohio. Thanks for having unavailable menu items during your posted and advertised open hours. Your fault not mine. You fail!
Chipotle but with Italian food. That isnt to denegrate either chain, but speaks to modern fast casual. As for the food, its slightly more diverse and flavorful than Chipotle in their offerings, but they are also slightly more expensive with less volume.Good quick food, but nothing to go out of your way for.
When I stood on the edge of the glass and ordered my vegetables, the Mexican woman waitress said to me very rudely, Dont put your finger in my food! ...What??!!OMG.....I only have 411; The separated glass is over 5 ....A young boy in front of me and he had a terrible service too; The cashier the throw change to his hand, change the spill, she did not even look him, Pretending not to see....leaving the young boy stood there dumbfounded....I know that sometimes people may have a bad day; But that doesnt mean you can bring your personal feelings to work; it can only be said to be a very poor personal quality, and lack of proper job training,no punitive system....never come back again!!
Its like an Italian Chipotle. I had the 3 meat wrap and cannoli chips. The cannoli chips are just deconstructed cannolis... crunchy cannoli shells that you dip into the filling. Yummy. The staff was fun and engaged all is the customers, they legitimately took an interest in how we were doing.
I love going to this location but... not sure what happened this time though. I ordered online & added special instructions. Not only was my instructions not followed but my broccoli was not there either. I tried to call & of course there is nobody to speak to... Food was great, just not how I wanted it
The cashier (who was touching the register/cards/cash/etc) was sticking her dirty thumb with no glove into every bowl she grabbed to put a lid on. The cashier should NEVER be touching food – that should be a job for a line worker with a gloved hand. The line was also moving very slow and there seemed to be attitude issues and chaos among the workers.Oh, and the cherry on top was that they had accidentally prepared their iced tea that day with SALT instead of sugar. Yes, it was as terrible tasting as youd imagine!
All in all a very nice restaurant with some more choices other than the traditional spaghetti and meatballs (although they have that too). The staff is very nice and store is very clean. Think of this as a chipotle for italian food and you will completely understand what youre getting into.
Good solid choice if you are in the mood for pasta. The only negative I can say is that nearly all of the components (pasta, cooked veggies, protein) are a little on the oily side. If you then combine this with an oil-based sauce such as the pesto your pasta bowl can quickly turn into an oil slick.
This Chipotle style italian restaurant is great! I always go with the Piada (Just like a burrito filled with Italian ingredients). the crispy chicken is great, or my second choice is the Italian sausage. The ingredients here are always fresh. Be sure to try their Italian sodas on tap also!
Pro tip to everyone posting about how its just like Chipotle, the company that owns and operates Chipotle also owns and operates Piada.Anyway the food is really good for the price, people who complain about a meal costing them 6.95 should just stay at home. I really dont understand what people expect when it comes to paying for food PREPARED for you. This is also one on the first fast food type restaurants where I have gotten calamari and have not immediately regretted my decision.
Ive been to Piada enough times to test their consistency, and time after time my steak piada is great. I generally get a steak piada with all the vegetables with their great Diavolo sauce added on, with a side of tasty lobster bisque, and am always impressed by the great atmosphere and branding present in Piada. Great experience time and time again.
The food was ok--dont bother with the salmon. Its fishy for salmon. The sundried tomatoes would be fine on a salad but are too tough for the pasta bowl. The alfredo sauce was bland. Maybe some shredded Parmesan would have helped. The rest of the disappointment was operator error. We ordered from the Deerfield Ohio location. My pasta bowl had olives (which I did not order) but was missing the spinach and artichokes (which I did order). My husbands piada (wrap) was missing the sauce but ended up with artichokes and spinach (must have been mine). He ordered a pepperoni stick but was told it would take 15 minutes, even though we ordered online and were there at the exact time the meal was supposed to be ready (and the store was NOT busy). The cannoli dessert was good, but like I saw on a magazine review, the container of dip (which would normally be used to stuff a real cannoli) was about half as much as necessary to use even sparingly. The fresh vegetables seemed good and fresh. We may try again because its reasonably priced and fast. But no more salmon and next time we go in and watch as they make it to be sure its right.
I placed an order online for pick up 20 minutes later. My sister had issues placing one online did she called in her order and let them know wed pick up at the time mine wad to be ready. We arrived about 5 minutes after the scheduled pick up time and the order placed online wasnt ready, we had to wait an extra 7 minutes to get the order but the call in order was ready on time.
Lettuce/spinach was old, you could just tell by looking at it, wilted/brown pieces present. I said no to those options, and said why, while employee pulled out bad pieces right in front of me as if to say, wait let me make it not look as bad no thanks, I said. After getting rung up I noticed my bill was more than the last time I was in. Our prices went up said cashier. Ok, inflation happens, but serve fresh lettuce/spinach with the extra $$ your making.
They have a good thing going kind of a healthier choice compared to a lot just wish they can use a tad bit more seasoning in their sauces but their choices of food to put in your pasta or wraps are amazing a little pricey not too bad for the amount of food you get just ask for extra sauce with everything the Scimitar is awesome

2022-06-06Amazing environment, the lighting, the chairs, the tables! Staff was super friendly and attentive unlike some other restaurants nowadays. The food was fantastic, the noodles were perfectly cooked and the hot fried chicken was superb. The various selections for toppings were all fresh too! Couldn’t have had a better experience!

2021-12-02Bit into a very large bone in a piece of chicken. This bone was sharp and could have really cut me, and it was pretty gross. The team was nice to ask if there was anything they could do, but this wasn’t the first time I had issues. Food quality is inconsistent. I eat here twice a week or so on average. Well used to.

2022-07-01Bomb food! Staff were professional and the food was amazing. I had never heard of this restaurant before but I was excited to try it out. I ordered the Mediterranean and it was delicious! We also go a side order of the canolli chips and they were amazing as well!

2022-04-30We had a wonderful experience here through Doordash. Delivered to our hotel lobby. Everything was delicious and fresh. Wonderful tasting ingredients. The Alfredo was perfect, along with the chicken. And Im soooo picky with my chicken and meat. I cant have any kind of gristle, nothing weird or Ill throw the whole thing away. We didnt have anything off! We all got Chicken Carbonara with spinach, the kids had theirs with broccoli and they just ate it up. Huge portions of everything too. I was really surprised to log on and see such negative reviews for this location!

2022-07-05We love Piada. Ive never had bland Piada until now. We opted to do the drive thru, which was quick and the worker was friendly. But you can see that the kitchen wasnt the cleanest. Having been to a lot of piadas plus having a family member that worked there for some time it was disappointing to see.

2022-05-17Was skeptical based on some of the poor reviews so ordered a backup meal elsewhere or if I was lucky, could be lunch the next day. Happy to say I ended up having that extra meal for lunch. I ordered the carbonarra pasta with penne and chicken through doordash. Food arrived fast and loved the fresh spinach on top. Wasnt heavy. A nice mix of fresh ingredients.

2022-04-16I eat here often. Employees always seem to have an attitude, ask for extra and they barely give you any so you ask again and get dirty looks. If you pick up from drive thru order is always missing something and you have to wait atleast 10-20 min.Food is good but the employees attitude sucks!

2022-05-01The pasta dishes and the salads are always delicious and made just right as requested. Upper Arlington is always clean and cheerful place to eat with everyone talking and seeming to have a good time.

2022-04-02The food here is great! However it can be uncertain with wait times. I once had to wait almost 30-40 minutes for an order I made over an hour and a half ago. Food is good service is uncertain.
