Piada Italian Street Food in other cities:
Really good food! Clean place. Friendly service. They try really hard to get out right quickly. Busy place a lot of the time.NOTE: The app isnt cooperating with my customization. If you order ahead check your order. NOT the fault of the staff, the app is kicking out some of my choose 8 toppings on pasta. This has happened 3 times now.
Curbside, they did not bring the food out right away they did not look busy. I dont know how long the food was sitting in the bag. Also we had a 20 minute drive home. The food was good at best. But the food tased salty, there was too much sauce in the noodles. I am willing to try it again but I dont have high expectations.I like the vibe, nice people. I am also late in reviewing their store they may have fixed the wait time.
Absolutely love it, your cashier Isaiah has great customer service, I was nervous about this place because I’ve never had it before but he really made me feel welcome. I will definitely be coming back again and hopefully Isaiah will be there because his service is outstanding! 5 stars for sure!
This is my 3rd visit . The first time I met a young lady who said she was training to be a manager , she was very polite and paid for my food , she was accurate and very personable. Saturday night I came in a little late boy was there a big difference my husband has a tomato allergy so I asked the worker if she could change her gloves (not the same young woman as my first visit about a month ago) , she was irritated by that and someone else took my order . The food wasnt great but there is a big difference in who works and what time , I came a little late both times , but the first young lady was so polite about it they dont have name of tags and a few of the ladies didnt have hairnets on with very long hair they should have hair nets
My fiancé and I tried this place a a week or so ago and we’re very excited about because our love for pasta. We heard from a friend how great it was but for us the experience was horrible and the food was okay. We ordered to large bowls of carbonara and also added xtra ingredients, a Mac and cheese bowl w calamari. We had to wait 15-20 mins for Alfredo sauce. Which we did patiently and politely. When they finally got it done it was a small little thing and they had at least a line of 8 waiting for just the Alfredo. I work in the food industry so usually I’m pretty understanding but our food was cold, not enough sauce put on after waiting such a long time so I asked for more and the girl had such a nasty attitude and wanted to charge me 5 bucks. I paid it and said well I could have complained about how all our food is completely cold and she just had an even nastier attitude with no help to resolve our situation. They don’t wear name tags so I couldn’t get names. I never write reviews or generally care much with service because I get it, but paying 40 something on this and not having a good experience plus cold food which just ruins it for me is unacceptable. The Akron location needs to have a talk with the ladies working there about their customer service. I really enjoyed the taste and portions of the food, it was amazing. Hopefully next time we come our food won’t be cold and expensive with workers who do not care about their customers satisfaction in their products and experience.
I ordered for delivery and I looking at the menu there is a ( hot) or ( cold ) option on the menu.So I ordered hot crispy chicken. It was so flaming SPICY, HOTI thought I was ordering hot temperature vs cold chicken. It was so 🔥 hot. It was unedible . $ 8.00Down the drain........ hoping for a refund 🙏
On Sunday 10/31/21 I visited Piada Italian Street Food (The Hawkins Ave location). There was a minor mix up on the order but I didnt realize it until later that night when I attempted to eat by food. So I called and spoke to a wonderful young lady name Mallory. She was more amazing in person. She made sure that I was fully compensated with such class. Now I usually dont give reviews in fact this is my first one. So to make a long story short. If anyone deserves a review from me it is Chef Mallory. Thank you Mallory!!! Oh go check the place out the food is on point. The BOMB!!!
Excellent. Large carbonara plus chickenYou customize your order on the fly at the counter. They removed 50% of the pasta. I had them add spinach onion garlic roasted red pepper cilantro broccoli and more. I asked for a bit extra sauce and the guy added 2 ladels.Taste was fantastic, really impressed.Been going back for custom Caesar salad with chicken. See pic.No table service. You order at the counter like Chipotle. I got a formed large paper bowl on a metal tray, for large carbonara plus chicken. You get your own soda or fruit flavor Italian soda. I didnt see alcohol but maybe they did have wine.
First time trying Piada.. and I thought it was delicious. I ordered the Carbonara Pasta (penne) with the hot fried chicken and a side of fried Calamari and hot peppers, and they werent skimpy on those. Five of us ordered and it might seem to be a bit pricey for some, but for an occasional meal of good food, to me it was worth the price. Definitely recommend trying it.
I always order the farmers market and get the fried calamari and man Im so excited!!! I dont know what it is about this place that draws me in but ... Im always excited to go! My son took me here for mothers day this yr and I wasnt disappointed!! Always clean inside and the salad was just what I wanted!! I so cant wait to go back. And it doesnt even have to be a special occasion for me. If I could I would eat here twice a day for the rest of my life, I would!!
Very disappointed in my experience here today, I havent been here in a few years and was so excited to finally be back, unfortunately my experience was a little lack luster. My pasta for starters was all thrown into a bowl and packaged up, not mixed or anything, leaving me with a large plop of pesto sauce on everything, I understand this is a minimal thing to complain about but its called a tossed pasta for a reason. Also I was charged for dine-in when I clearly told the cashier I was eating out, unfortunately I just noticed after I got home. Im very disappointed in my experience here...
This isn’t somewhere I would frequent. It’s a one and done for me. You go through the line and pick your pasta and sauce with add ins. The meatballs and sausage were not very good nor were their sauces. I paid $75 for 4 adults and 2 children. Pricy for fast foodI emailed the owner like they requested but received no response
The full menu was viewable by QR code but not up for normal non tech people to see which was frustrating to me.The atmosphere reminded me of a Chipotle inside. I got a pasta bowl with crispy chicken, marinara sauce, and mozzarella and parmesan cheese. The total was about $10. To add bread or dessert it was a average of an extra $3 each.My partner got a pasta bowl with chicken and steak and Alfredo sauce. He also got roasted red peppers, spinach, and cheese in his bowl. His meal was about $13 and the same portion size. But he received double the amount grilled chicken. The serving size was pretty decent; if I ate earlier in the day, I would have been able to save some for lunch tomorrow. I do feel it should have had more crispy chicken in it, though. The dining room was not open but we ordered inside and got it to go.I would probably go again but it wouldnt be my first choice for pasta.
Amazing! The head chef took the time to explain the menu and answer any questions my first time there. And the food is AMAZEBALLS!! The basil pesto pasta with meatballs is a game changer. And the night crew is the best, especially the girl with the dreadlocks. Always friendly and welcoming and even remembered my mother-in-law had a mushroom allergy! Very attentive.
I’m visiting from NY and decided to order from this place randomly off of DoorDash. The first 2 drivers stole my food but the 3rd driver explained what had happened to me and to the staff. The food had arrived and I was so excited to try the food. I was NOT disappointed! The food was absolutely beyond my expectations! The lobster bisque, carbonara, sweet corn salad and pepperoni piada sticks were AMAZING! Thank you Hunter, Lenis, Miyah and Alex for phenomenal service and food! You guys rock!
Had an overall amazing experience as soon as I walked in! The whole staff was friendly and welcoming. This was my first time ever at a Piada, the blonde girl helped me out with my order and suggested the crispy chicken ravioli with red sauce and it was amazing! I will be back for sure.
Disappointed because I have had issues with my pickup orders from this location multiple times this month already. Once missing dressing for a caesar salad and missing meatballs from another order. Paid $7 for a bowl of lettuce and was told I had to come back to the store for the dressing. Same thing with the meatballs, when it said on the ticket attached to the bag ADD MEATBALL in two different spots. I’d rather have my money back then have to drive all around town to get something I paid for and should have received the first time. The food is good though, and the craving for it is real! Can a pregnant lady just be able to enjoy her meal after a long day without having to drive twice to get it? 😭😭😭
First time there I had the Shrimp Po Boy, fries and mac-n-cheese. The Po Boy is a good size and DELICIOUS!! Dont know if Ill get to review anything else, that sandwich is so good Id hate to go there and not get it. The place is super clean with full veiw of the open kitchen. Seating is sparse. The people were really friendly. I highly recommend this local business.
Food is always great-presumably by default... but the accuracy of the order, the friendliness of the staff and the ability to have our orders ready on time always fails at the West Akron location. While we are only 5 minutes away, last night was the final straw.. We will take the trip into Cuyahoga Falls. The staff is nicer, seemingly better trained and the orders are always perfect-Nothing forgotten or incorrectly executed and weve never waited 25 minutes past designated pick up times for completion of an order on a sunday night in an empty restaurant at THAT location.
Unbelievable that your manager (or above) would think so poorly of the evening staff to stay open regular hours tonight when the weather was absolutely horrible! It had been nothing but ice falling for hours and you were well aware it was going to happen. Im hoping the evening crew made it home safely. This surely wont motivate the staff from here on out or motivate customers to patronize your business. Very disgusted in your lack of good judgement. Shame on you!Greed got the best of you.
I walked in on 6/24/2020 I have visited on 2 other occasions, and didnt seem to have an bad experience, well I was in line and standing there. There was a female chef she wore a white chefs coat. She looked at me and still asked the lady behind me how she was and what she could get started for her. After the customer behind me placed her order. I waited another 2 mins to be acknowledged. She then asked if I were in line which was in itself an crazy question. Why would I be standing here if I werent. I simply said yes, I started my order. And 2-3 more orders came in for online she still started those orders ahead of mines. I placed an order for 2 bowls. With double protein and a soup! I waited for over 10 minutes. My bowls were already made and sitting on the counter as other orders were being placed and made. So I am just standing here with my baby on my hip waiting I was never told there was a wait for the protein. I just waited the customer service was over all terrible I didnt say anything then because with every thing thats going on now. Id hate to simply complain about anything with fear of being mistreated or my food being tampered with. Michael was very nice I guess he could tell I was irritated and after he put the protein inside the bowls him and only him apologized. If chase didnt have an partnership to get extra % off my billing I would not have even bothered. Its just the fact that people can really look past you like you dont matter first the taking an order for someone who was behind me and the the wait while my food just sat on the counter getting cold. Without even simply saying we need to drop more is that okay with you. Yes, this will be my last time spending any money($40) here. I dont look forward to getting response if the staff cant even acknowledge any wrongs or simply provide a decent CS experience I am sure this will be another situation swept under the the rug.
The employees were very professional as well as friendly and cheerful!! They had no problem answering my questions on the items and specific dishes. My fiance asked for extra cheese and though we had a bad experience at the Parma location our experience at this location made up for it 100%!! We probably will not be back to the Parma location however, we do love piada and will be back to this one frequently!!!
My big sister Layla works at Piada so I come there a lot. And I always go to places like Chipotle and there burritos always open up, and fall apart. But Piada does it right which I really like. Plus the Carbanora there is SO good. Highly recommend eating here its the best.
Oh gosh where do I began? I came here while on a visit from Georgia and I must say I truly wish they had one close by my house. I cant wait to see them expand. This place is an Italian experience like no other. The customer service was good. The staff graciously made suggestions based on my preferences. I enjoyed the way I got to make my meal my own. They had a really good variety of things to choose from. I enjoyed a pesto Alfredo with this heavenly side called great grains. I cant wait to come back and try something new the next time I came back to Ohio and visit.
Very interesting establishment. You can order your dish similar to a salad bar, depending on your ingredients, you can have it hot or cold. Everything is fresh and clean. There are plenty of items to choose from including gluten free items. The staff is extremely helpful. There are several beverages to choose from and the ice tea bar is awesome if you enjoy iced tea.
Food is very good and filling for the price. Easily got 2 full meals worth out of one bowl. The staff was friendly. For those of you like me not knowing what to expect, think Italian Chipotle. This isnt a sit-down restaurant like it looks from the outside. This is more of a fancy fast-food pasta restaurant. The restaurant layout and ordering style is very similar to that of Chipotles.
First time there, were unsure of what, or even how, to order. First staff member on the line was helpful, but as our food got pushed down the line, all the other employees were totally annoyed that we had no idea what came with what we ordered. We ended up spending over $30 on food that was bland and just so-so.A little help along the food line would have gone a long way toward us choosing ingredients that helped boost the flavor.Prices on the board would be helpful, also; it seemed like every little thing we ordered was extra. Would have been nice to know what WASNT extra.Kind of feel like we got cheated out of a good experience.Im not saying we wouldnt go back... but itll definitely be a good while. $30 for lunch is a little bit out of our normal price range.
For a first time ever visit I was very pleased with everything. The freshness of the food, the variety of options to choose from, the cleanliness of the location, how team oriented and professional the staff were, how friendly and welcoming and helpful and knowledgeable the staff were with me. Then my boyfriend was very pleased with everything I brought home. Not one bad experience. Thank you guys I will be back. That super green salad was awesome as well as the wrap and everything else. I even loved the calamari as Im not normally a fan but you guys prepared this so well I loved it. Thanx again!!
Went here on my night off no one ahead of me the first girl starting the orders was making a carry out...waited, the two other girls down the line were rushing around. I watched my order be made. Then my “hot food” item sit in the window for 5plus minutes. The register girl grabbed gloves and boxed it right on a dirty counter. I already paid I know restaurants get busy but there counters were shameful.
Wow. The pasta I got was probably about two days old. There was literally crunchy noodles in my pasta. You’re an Italian place, and pasta is not hard at ALL to make. I’m not sure if it was the management or the place itself. The spaghetti sauce also tasted like it just came out of a can:(. I don’t predict this place to last long at all, my meal was worth about $0.30 and it was about $10. The worst Italian food I’ve ever had lol
Disappointed in the carryout experience - it’s a hit or miss. We religiously ordered carryout from here during the pandemics but have stopped doing so because it’s a hit or miss - sometimes there is sauce (which even on the receipt it says should be there), sometimes there isn’t. I feel like we will go back when ordering inside to make sure all of the ingredients are there but won’t order carryout again.
The food is decent. Maybe a little too pricey for what you actually get.A suggestion to management: the folks who work on the food line should not ask customers about their nose rings, then proceed to play with said nose ring while customer is ordering food. As I was relaying my order today, and employee was very adamant about me looking in her nostril to see if her nose ring was falling out. She then started playing with the nose ring while the sanitary gloves were on her hands. Not sanitary.
Everything was delicious, fresh and hot! The lobster bisque was amazing! Unbelievable calamari! I could not finish my small pasta bowl so that will be lunch tomorrow! Cant wait to try the Tosca selections and the cannoli chips! Happy first visit, lifelong customer! Chef was very friendly, answered my questions and provided excellent service! You have to try this hot & new restaurant!
The people there were really nice and helpful. It’s kind of like the Italian version of chipotle. You walk up to the counter and pick up the food you want and then you can choose to add different toppings into it like sun-dried tomatoes, provolone cheese, fresh cut tomatoes salsa, etc. based on what you order. They also have many different meat options if you want that mixed into your pit. I’m a vegetarian so I really enjoyed the to opt out on meat on anything that I ordered.
Good food and fresh ingredients. The staff at the payment end of the counter needed to step up and be more organized for that 5th star but the people preparing the food are awesome. The salmon and calamari are cooked fresh when ordered. For 5 bucks I got a freshly fried tub of delicious calamari and fried red peppers.
I wish these businesses would put what time they stopped taking orders. I dont appreciate trying to place a order online but I am not able to because it says that there no longer taking orders but you guys are still open that doesnt make sense. Im tired of giving out bad reviews to businesses because yall not doing what yall need to do for this covid. It doesnt make sense people wear a mask get over it
Food is great and staff was on the ball. Grab and go pick up was a breeze! On my last visit they had a free delivery promo going on and they were slammed with online orders. Despite that they seemed to get everything done in a timely manner and nobody seemed to be freaking out. GO TEAM!
Please Piada manager read this. You’re so understaffed and creating so many unhappy customers through doordash because of your workers not paying attention to the shelf of to go orders (I arrived last night and my order was stolen) and your wait times make it pointless to be on doordash. The business model needs restructured or you need more staff. Please change this so you can stop inconveniencing so many customers.
As a customer standing in line, I observed an employee walk-off in the middle of making another customers order. I understand you are frustrated because it’s close to closing time but you still have a job of providing excellent customer service. If closing time is hard to keep customers out after doors have been locked. Place an employee to monitor the door to notify customers of closing time. As a consistent customer of Piada I was highly disappointed of the service displayed.
Crispy Chicken BLT Piada is great, a little higher in calories but it is one of the things I crave from there. The vegan (no meat) Spicy Diovolo pasta is delicious! Atmosphere is awesome. Very clean. Im looking forward to sitting outside under their covered seating area.
Menu is a little confusing. There are sides you can order. That menu is located near the end of the counter. Ingredients are nice. I got the crispy chicken BLT wrap. It was very good. You can add in ingredients as you go. Store was very clean. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful.
A friend and I have gotten sick eating here multiple times. I got immediate nausea after eating and later diarrhea. It’s always the pasta dishes. Salads and power bowl have been safe. We kept going back hoping it wouldn’t happen again because the food tastes pretty good. We won’t be going back anymore...
I’ve ordered a side salad from here a handful of times. For some reason it never has the right toppings? The website and DoorDash say that a side salad contains lettuce, tomatoes, pickled red onions and cucumbers with Parmesan dressing. So I don’t understand why every time I’ve ordered it that’s not what it has? It always has Parmesan, olives, pickled onions and dressing? Why don’t they give you what you order?!
First time in. The food was great but the place had the air conditioning on and it is 15 degrees outside. It would have been a five star review but got three stars because we had to eat with our coats on, shivering the entire time. The gal at the register said others had complained, yet nothing had been done to correct it.
Fast casual food. Not a 5 star restaurant, but perfect for what it is. Clean. New choices with good flavors. Fun addition to what Akron is used to. Thank goodness it want another pizza shop. Blackberry hibiscus really just tastes like another pink lemonade but the food was brilliant.
Not A Fan Of The Food Or Service -- It was lukewarm food and painfully slow service at the West Akron location (and we were the only people in line). There were several employees standing around while one poor girl handled our orders -- which is probably why it ended up cold when we finally got it. The food wasnt particularly appetizing in texture, looks, or taste. Maybe Id go back and try something different, but the prices were outrageous for cold stuff and bad service, so..no.
Don’t know what happened to the staff as of lately but I’ve been here twice in 2 weeks. First trip my calamari which I had to wait 10 minutes for was left out of my order once it was bagged and handed to me, had to return to the store to get it. Now I’ve been in line for 20 minutes and there were 3 Only persons in front of me same wait. Current kitchen isn’t on the ball like they used to be.
Just went there and it was the worst experience. 1st they didnt have any pepporoni rolls cause the oven was broke . Then i get my pasta bowl when i said no tomotoes they put extra in it. Then they re made it had no bacon or even sauce!! . 3rd time was a charm. My co workers calamari was so greesy and soggy she honestly just tossed it in the trash. Ughh cmon guys get it together... we always order lunch there . We wish we didnt waste our boss paying foe lunch on it...
I missed the initial hype train when Piada first started to take Akron by storm, so already I came in with high expectations. I immediately was met with a comforting atmosphere and the smells of basil and aioli. Now were talking. We tried the Crispy Chicken BLT Piada and the Avocado Piada as well as the basil pesto pasta. Excellent! The house drinks are great and provide something a little different - there was berry soda, orange soda, lemon tea, and peach tea. And BTW, the peach tea straight slaps.
This location is soooo unprofessional. I’m assuming the manager wears the all white? I just left this location. During my ENTIRE sit down experience she was talking about “crappy” customers and going into detail about awful customers are. You probably shouldn’t be in customer service if you are so bothered you need to talk about them on the clock. To top it off they charged us for two other peoples meals, and weren’t apologetic what so ever.
Well the wraps are delicious, but this particular location has several employees that don’t seem to understand what customer service is. They were very rude and impersonal when I visited and also didn’t seem to move very fast. Both times I visited I had a bad experience with two different ladies. The one skipped over me to wait on the next person in line and gave me an attitude when she did get to me - and the second time a different employee slammed the tongs down angrily after I asked her to remove some browned lettuce from my wrap. Btw she didn’t listen in the first place when I asked for a very small amount of lettuce on the wrap - she just piled it on about 3/4 cup worth. So maI be a seminar on how to treat your customers and I may be back to visit #doyourjobsansattitudeplease
They simple did not listen to instructions and had remake the bowl. The server got mad and cut down the portion to a smaller size and i was charged for the larger size. Unfortunately i didnt realize it until i was gone because i got it to go. Maybe this shouldnt reflect the company but what type of people are they hiring? Keep your emotions in check when you make a mistake. We all make them but when you work with the public suck it up and correct it. Thats all.
I placed an order online today at work, and while eating my chicken salad I bit into something hard!! As I pulled whatever this was out of my mouth, to my surprise it was a chicken bone!! Im so glad I was paying attention because I could have easily swallowed this bone!! Now, my coworkers and I order from this piada all the time, and weve even had lunch catered before for our agents! So, when I called and spoke with the manager Cameron about it, she was less then apologetic!! All she said was Ok! I was appalled! She then proceeded to say theyve had a few complaints regarding bones in the chicken the past few weeks and theres nothing they can do about it! She offered no apology at all, nor did she act remotely interested at all!! The more and more I was on the phone the more upset I became! I asked for her District Managers name, and she said I dont know! WHAT? What do you mean you dont know! Youre a manager! Then I told her my company is placing a large catering order with them on Thursday, and she still was very quiet and dry! Still really unapologetic or interested in anything I had to say! So I asked for her managers name, and what do you know, she at least knew that! Then I asked how long has she worked at this location, and she said first a while!! Youve worked there for a while, and youre a manager, and you dont know youre District Managers name!! Unbelievable! I had to give her a little bit of management training 101! I told her she should be asking for my name and my phone number to have her manager follow up with me also!! Do you think she asked me? NO!! Needless to say, you better believe I will be talking to my company tomorrow about canceling our catering order!! Well take our business to a company who cares about their customer experience just like we do!! #bonemad
Dine-in experience is consistently good here, but the delivery or takeout is rough. Our office orders here frequently and they routinely fail to read any notes left on the ticket for sauces, sides, requests. The creamy parm sauce is so delicious that its a huge let down when your order has no sauce in the bag, even though the ticket stapled to the bag has side of creamy parm in all caps bold on the first line lol
The first time I had Piada was in Columbus and was sad to discover there were none back where Im from. Recently, one just opened and its been fantastic. Piada is a hard place to compare to others in terms of what their flavor is like. To describe it, its more like a Mediterranean Chipotle. There are pasta bowls and something similar to a wrap but with an Italian Street Food twist.
Upon entering the store, I see that there is no menu board, which I suppose makes it look less fast casual, but also sets off alarm bells in my head because I have no reference as to how much my lunch will cost.At the end of the line I see that there are some menu cards in a rack that provide some, but not all of the menu options with a few prices. The location of the rack gives you about a minute to decide what to order, which is not a good thing if arriving with a group; If you are new to the concept, you really slow up the line. Perhaps adding another box that is chock-full-o-menus at the back of the line would help a smidge. The menu card does not appear to show all available menu items, nor is it clear as to what is included with each menu item, as if I am already supposed to know whats going on. As I learned later, it also does not include details (beyond the protein options with upsell prices) on all of the things that cost extra at the end of the service line....More alarm bells....I ordered a large bowl with diavolo sauce and a meatball, and we headed into the minefield of extras, some of which are included, while others are upcharges. Did I mention that you have no idea which is which? Apparently the items I asked to be dropped into my bowl were not extra, but the guest ahead of me kept getting told her choices were an extra charge. She finally gave up and left with an almost-plain bowl and a very negative opinion of her experience. You might have lost another customer with that one.It appears that you can add feta, parmesean, arugula, chopped peppers, squash/mushrooms and chickpeas without incident, but youre on your own for the rest of the offerings. Suffice to say that some guests wont notice or wont care if additional charges appear on their bill, but quite a few that have dined at older Piada locations where the Chipotle method of filling the bowl was offered will be turned off by the upsell experience.I had ordered to go, and once I opened my bowl 10 minutes later, it appeared that my bowl was one-third full of somewhat dry pasta with 6 ounces of sauce, plus the free goodies I had on top. Slicing into my meatball, I observed that the interior of the meatball was the consistency of what I have to come to know as hopefully barely fully cooked, as in it had the same texture of raw meatball mix. It was hot, but did not provide the reassurance of a meatball fully cooked to the center; the reassurance stopped about halfway, with a healthy dose of concern to the center. Lets just say I worked out my concerns and ate about half of the meatball. All of the other ingredients appeared to be fresh and of good quality. The restaurant appeared clean and well-stocked, with plenty of open seating at Noon and almost nobody in line; My observation was that it was pricey for lunch, clearly more expensive than other revered area pasta options (including ones that offer a comp salad or soup plus free garlic breadsticks), and well past the $5 price point that has recently become so popular at competing restaurants in the area. Aside from the meatball debacle and the escape from Upsell Island, it was well-presented and attractively packaged. I did not purchase a beverage, even though there are some tasty House Italian Sodas at the beverage bar. 3 Stars for menu confusion and meatball uncertainty.
I am completely displeased with the management and employees at this location. Adam Jackson is a joke of a manager. He is very hostile and is always harassing his employees. He intimidates the customers and stares at them angrily. The atmosphere is completely demonic and I feel uneasy every time I come to this location. The line workers huddle together in the corner and laugh and talk under the managers supervision while the cashier does all of the work. It smells absolutely horrid in here and it is never clean.
HOLEYYY MOLEYY never been to one of these bad boys before and I am officially hooked. I am currently two bites in and am sorry I didnt order more. Its not anything close to what youd expect if you have only ever experienced Chipotle or the likes. The flavors and textures are on a different level and takes you by surprise. The new chain in Akron is definitely worth looking into for lunch or dinner. The variety of foods they can pack into a Piada (essentially their burrito) is astounding but everything works together. The wrap is deceiving and looks like a tortilla but bites like unleavened Italian bread, for comparison. I recommend going and getting something stock off the menu or a seasonal Piada before spicing it up with your ideas.Staff is friendly and can make good recommendations if youre lost too.The cannolis are great too for a snack for later, the filling is on point!
The one in West Akron has provided poor customer service both time I have gone there. Wrong order, charged for another customer order and terribly slow. The one in Cuyahoga Falls, no such problems. The food is healthier than most fast food restaurants, so only go to the Falls if you choose to dine this establishment.
Piada Akron has went down a slippery slope the wait time has increased at all hours of the day, the hygiene of the restaurant has went down gradually and employees stand around and talk to one another while the mangers Terrell and Adam are in plain sight. I feel chef Terrell is over aggressive with customers and is not a happy face for the company.
The employees at the akron location are rude they flipped out about an online order and got super flustered over the order and started stomping around while i was standing there waiting and started to make fun of it all they had to do was follow the order it wasnt that hard to understand it took 2 people to wrap their minds around the simple order and throw together the bowls it was bad

2022-01-21Greeted from the Chefs upon ordering. Alahsen made our experience wonderful with polite gestures of what to order. Great interior design. Love the vibe of customers and workers. Thanks for a great take out dinner. The Spaghetti 🍝 was favorable. Noodles and sauce was fresh with Italian flavor. Boy or boy that Salmon steaks are marvelous too. Such a delectable dinner and I loved the garlic dough. Thanks Piada

2022-01-26There are other choices here other than pasta. This was a great surprise to me. I enjoyed my Bacon and Blue salad. 2 sizes to choose from. When a person in our party of 6 received the wrong item, the staff was quick to remedy the situation. I would give it 5 stars, if the older gentleman who waited on us was a little more clear in his instructions, more patient for 1st time customers and listened to his customers more. The rest of the younger staff were super great!

2021-09-24Staff of piada was excellent.... Chef even made me grilled mushrooms only for my order. The ice machine was out of ice and when I told the gal she immediately went and filled it up. The peach tea mix was off and it tasted very weak but not that big of a deal. This location was super busy and it appeared understaffed, but those working tried their best to pump out the orders quickly. Even the dishwasher was gathering up the empty containers and hustling to the wash room. I bet they are under appreciated, so I think their efforts need to be noted.

2022-02-13If I could do less than one star I would. My girlfriend and I both came in to order some food to dine in, also to order takeout for our family we were going to meet up with. We came in to an empty store with the workers in the back conversing in the kitchen…not greeted. We waited patiently and respectfully; finally were welcomed and asked what they could get started for us. However they proceed to make a takeout order instead of ours…then mixed ours into the process. Once they got to ours they didn’t pay us any attention as they were working on the one mobile order or whatever it was….then they proceeded to give our food away to the mobile order and we sat there again waiting for them to run out and chase the person down to recover our food and rebag it for us. I ordered one of the pepperoni sticks and had to come back up to get the included sauce cup. Also we were being rushed through this whole process and not given the chance to request our drinks and stuff. Not even a simple sorry too. TL:DR Horrible customer service; missing items; items given away to someone else and had to be recovered. Thanks “Mallory for the worst experience with this company I have ever encountered! Mallory is the white cot that we think had a little to much to drink on break. I really do appreciate you making me taking the time to write this in the hopes no one will have to go through that again.

2022-03-30My granddaughter placed a to go order. First they said they did not get the order. Then they said it just came through, then they said her card did not go through after I had waited 20 minutes band they cancelled the order. They said I could pay for it then they would start it. I finally left without the food. This was so ridiculous. Several door dashers were having trouble . I will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Got a response from the owner on this website. Sent an email with my phone number and never got any response. If you get the response below, dont waste your time emailing it.

2021-04-03I used to own an Italian food truck and worked in many italian restaurants and I gotta tell you they are doing it right here! Had the carbonara, market salad and calamari and peppers.Everything was delicious and staff was friendly and service was quick! Ive seen them struggling on busy days but if you go during slower times its fine.Definitely recommend! We will be coming back!

2022-03-02Ordered food for pick up on my lunch break, arrived at the time it said my food would be ready (11:53am) waited.... waited... waited... asked how long it would be was told my order was being made next... waited 15 more minutes and my order still wasnt started as I watched them make walk in foods while I stood there waiting. I ended up having them cancel the whole order that I stood and waited 25 minutes past the pick up time. Very inconsiderate of others time. If I would have just walked in to order maybe I would have lunch today.

2018-09-09Stumbled upon this place on Labor Day while on our way to Akron Canton airport. It was one of the few places open which was already a plus. The concept is a great one. High quality Italian street food. The decor was modern and didnt feel anything like a fast food place. There were plenty of options for combinations of dishes. We did a piada and a pasta. The portions were substantial enough that it could be two meals. The pasta sauce was delicious, and the angel hair pasta cooked perfectly. The piada was essentially a wrap but warmed up and over filled with ingredients. There was a nice outdoor seating area with modern lounge chairs. We liked the restaurant so much we looked up their other locations and wanted to find out if they were a franchise (no, they are not). What a great option for health conscious eaters.
