Phils deli is the best place around to get meats and cheese. They also do boxed lunches that are delicious and well worth the price. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. We get all of our cold cuts and cheese here. They also have the best macaroni salad.

Just stopped at Phils over the noon hour. I love all the great parking thats available. It was very busy, lots of customers, a Frito Lay delivery (we love Lays) and I even heard one gal with a phone order. Phil, Sue and their entire staff handled it like pros. My order was done quickly and efficiently. I needed bananas - they had them as well as fresh strawberries, blueberries. Also delicious looking pineapple spears and mixed fruit in the cooler. I like to get the cheese ends from the cooler for my cheesey broccoli soup, the variety makes it delicious. I should never shop hungry.. Got a yummy ham and Swiss sandwich to go as well as a strawberry cheesecake donut. You alI have to try the cookies and donuts! I saw a beautiful arrangement on the counter - turns out it is Sue and Phils Anniversary. Congrats to you both!
First time there and was very impressed. Such a great variety of cheese and meats. The staff there were really awesome and we could sample stuff before we purchased it. Highly recommend!!! Update: have been there so many times since and they have the best cheese, prices and friendliest staff. Worth the half hour drive!!!
What a great Deli and Specialty store. Amazing variety, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Incredibly fresh Foods, large variety of cheeses and meats (love the Troyers selection)! Its truly amazing of the selections they have in this size of store!! This is truly worth checking out if you havent been there.
Great food great prices
Nice, clean store offering deli meats and cheeses as well as some baked goods, jams, and jellies. Especially nice when bakery items are delivered to the store from 8 Sisters Bakery in Mt Gilead. Get there early to enjoy some yummies!
Phils deli is the best in town to get to get cheese, lunch meat and anything else you need. It is always fresh and the staff go over and beyond to serve you. when my brother comes home from North Carolina they would always stop at Phils and stock up on lunch meat and cheese. Our favorite lunch meat is the brown sugar ham.
Phils is a quaint little gem with many choice selections. A $5.00 lunch box that cannot be beat and better than fast food. Deserts to die for as well as alot of old time goodies.

This place is awesome! It doesnt look like much, but their sandwiches are great. They do not skimp on the toppings, which you choose from their extensive cheese and meat selection. It is a very filling sandwich for a cheap price. Cheaper and better than subway.

I enjoy the place. The staff is friendly the building is neat and clean. The food is great and if youre in a rush they have an affordable premade assortment of the sandwich.

This deli always has a much wider variety and higher quality of meats and cheeses available than you would ordinarily expect from such a small-town location.Cheeses, for example: in addition to the usual suspects (colby, mild cheddar, mozarella, swiss, etc.) you can also get things that are normally hard to find in a small town, like sharp white cheddar or havarti. If they ever went out of business, wed have to drive thirty minutes each way to get stuff like that, and it wouldnt be the same level of quality even then. I dont know for sure where Phils gets their cheeses, but my first guess would be Holmes County. Theyre that good.The meat selection is similarly diverse, and they also have a selection of specialty breads, typical deli fare (potato salad and whatnot), and assorted other items (candies, chips, sauces, already-made sandwiches, etc.) I believe they do catering as well.Service is prompt, although lines do form at certain key times (e.g., on Sunday right after church lets out) due to the large number of locals all coming in at the same time. They staff for this, though, and will have three slicers going at once, so the line moves quickly.The prices are very reasonable, particularly on the meats and cheeses, and be sure to check the whiteboard: they often have really good specials.

2022-06-22I drive about 32 miles round trip to shop here! Im closer to several other stores. Phils is always well stocked, reasonably priced, and the staff is an exceptional example of great customer service!

2019-11-01Heard some good things about Phils, so decided to stop in today on the way to Ontario. They had advertised on their website that they had 100 meats and cheeses. I didnt see that many, but they did have quite a few. Was kinda hoping they might have a loaded potato salad, but didnt see any.

They have just about any lunch meat you would want with good prices or they will make you a custom sandwich for lunch.Very friendly staff and dont forget in the summer during lunch They have there Friday cook out you can get a burger, dog or a bratwurst chip & drink for like $5 the last time I was there . This is a 5 stare deli. Thanks Phil for all you do.

2022-04-25Awesome usually. Today a girl we never seen before waited on us. Freshly dyed blue hair, we could tell because she had blue dye under her finger nails, neck and ears. Then she over charged us, went back in got $3.95 back but after looking into it more we were actually over charged around $9.00 due to her lack of cash register experience. Another lady helped but she was obviously not in a good mood as she was verbally short with us both times we questioned are total........well go back for today you get 1 star.
