Our dog died under the care of Pet Palace – DO NOT take your dog to Pet Palace if it has a significant health condition. They are not trained for monitoring your dog’s health – they only check if your dog is eating their food. (We do appreciate the staff trying to work with our dog on getting him to eat better). Our dog had congestive heart failure and was doing well when we dropped him off (vet was happy with his recent blood and urine tests), but was nearly dead upon pick-up from boarding. He had to be put to sleep a few hours after being picked-up from boarding. You can imagine the shock of coming back from a family vacation, anxious to see your dog and finding out he’s about dead. The only notification we had from Pet Palace during his stay was that our dog had not been eating well for the past few days (on day 8 of 10 of boarding). Upon pick-up from boarding, we noticed our pet had multiple problems: dehydrated, blisters on mouth, unable to walk, fixed stare, unable to open mouth, terrible smell out of his mouth, brown teeth. It’s shocking that no one at Pet Palace could pick up on these signs of trouble. After taking him to vet emergency care, it was discovered he was in severe kidney failure and was dehydrated, Not drinking water is a very bad thing with congestive heart failure medications. Pet Palace does not document how much water your dog is drinking. If someone had told us how bad our dog’s health had deteriorated, we could have moved him to our vet, come home early, or had a family member get our dog. But there was no notification. There is no vet on staff at Pet Palace, though they have up to 100 dogs in their buildings. Pet Palace website says “If medical attention is required, we will transport your pet to your personal vet with your approval.” which they absolutely failed at. Our vet recommended Pet Palace thinking they would have better care as our vets’ boarding had little care over the weekends. Our vet now regrets recommending Pet Palace. We are now in pain from losing our dog, thinking about the lack of care he received, and the lost time we could have had with our dog. We asked Pet Palace before boarding if they are able to care for dogs with congestive heart failure, which they said “yes” to. I wish they had been honest and said “no – we are not trained to care for pets in that condition”. If you love your dog, do not take them to Pet Palace. Pet Palace should not accept any pets with serious health conditions.I should state that Pet Palace was friendly towards us and our dog. However, the response from the company is inaccurate. We proactively called on day 3 and all indications were that our dog was doing well. There was a call from Vet Palace on day 8 and day 9 only about our dog not eating well (for past few days prior to that). I asked about water intake at that time and they said our dog was fine (which was inaccurate and they have no way of measuring that). There was no information about the dog being in bad condition. There were multiple signals that should have been caught. We received no information that our dogs health was deteriorating significantly nor was our vet ever contacted.
Pet Palace took wonderful care of our cat, Momo, during our trip out of town. He seemed happy as can be when we picked him up, and the staff was incredibly friendly as well. I was able to get a full status update with a simple phone call, which really helped to put my wife at ease while we were away from our kitty.
We had a wonderful grooming experience. We had been having some bad cuts for our bernadoodle at other grooming salons. Pet palace was awesome. It was easy to book an appointment and our dog looked fantastic. She was in such good spirits going in and coming out. Thank you for great service!
The staff is extremely attentive, thoughtful, professional and took great care of our Golden Retriever.
I gave them a new chew toy to put in the kennel at all times and it came back with out a mark on it. I gave it to my dog (2 year old lab) as soon as we got home and she loved it. Also, my other dog came home with vomit/dirty floors crusted in both ears. All they said is they ate well. I hope, but question they gave my cavalier his meds. He came home in poor health and I wouldnt recommend them for elderly pets..Since they dont have a vet on site and staff dont recognize distress in dogs I wouldnt recommend them for elderly pets.
I have had my dog stay here twice in the past 3 months. Both times my dog has come home sick. First time she got kennel cough after playing with other dogs. $133 dollars later from the vet. IThis second time she was given to me with diarrhea on her paw. Filthy dirty. Apparently she must have had diarrhea never was told. Now I have to take her to the vet again to be checked out and treated.I will not be boarding my dog there again.
My puppy looks so great! We had him groomed at Pet Palace. It’s so convenient to drop him off before work and pick him up after work.
We have been using Pet Palace Hilliard for 6 years and have only the most positive experiences. Tina Martin, Groomer, does a fantastic job with our Bernese. He always looks so handsome when we pick him up. Tina is very thoughtful and provides great customer service. She makes sure she understands what you are looking for and then delivers. Highly recommend both the grooming and the boarding service.
As a dog mom, I can not express how grateful I am for Pet Palace. To have a reliable place to take them for when I need to travel is such peace of mind. I have three needy pets and I would trust my babies with no one else. They are all always so excited to get into the building, and I know it has to be because they know they are in for a fun time with all their friends-both human and furry. The staff are always professional (and always so nice when I call often to check on them), and you can tell they are compassionate and animal lovers. The facility itself is very clean and my dogs always come home clean. 10/10 Would recommend them to anyone who needs their pets to be loved while you are away!
We put our husky a week ago .. great staff and took good care of our pet..I wish they had more cameras available on suites ..
I was in a bit of a pinch when we were moving that I had to change up plans on the spot, these guys made my whole day easier not having to worry about my pup Regan. The ability to help calm me down and reassure me that he would be in good hands really came through, I thought I’d have to have everything booked and scheduled, didn’t realize they could take my dog on the spot! Pet palace is a great facility to take your pup for daycare! Brandy the manager at the hilliard location was so accommodating and helpful in assisting me when I had to work though some anxiety with my dog while I was at work. She and the staff are very knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior and offered great suggestions. I feel the care my dog received while at this location was absolutely top notch, and every day I came to pick my dog up, he was so happy and I could tell he had a great day. You can certainly tell the staff cares when you come in to drop off your dog and they are always friendly. At pick up, they give you a great analysis of what your pup did through the day. There is nothing more important than feeling comfortable with the facility and staff when you are leaving your fur baby. Additionally, the facility is always very clean and tidy. This location has easy booking and great hours, with early and late drop offs and pick ups to accommodate varying work schedules. They are happy to assist with any special requests, and have options for one on one interaction with your dog throughout the day or group play with he other pups. If you are looking for a daycare of boarding, I highly recommend this location. The service, friendliness, knowledge, and cleanliness of this location set it apart from all the rest! Pet Palace is EXCELLENT! As a pet mom of three, I really can not express how wonderful it is to be able to travel as needed and know that my dogs are in the best hands in town! My dogs practically pull my arm off when it comes to get them inside the building. The staff are always so helpful and friendly, and my pets are always eager to greet them! Very clean facility, great space for my pups, fair pricing (love that I am able to get a discount for my additional pets! Every bit helps!) and I always love reading their little reports when I get them home! It just goes to show how attentive they are, and gives me great peace of mind when I am away! They even give me updates by phone when I call to check on them. We have tried daycare a few times for quick day trips, and my littlest one gets groomed there too (she always smells and looks amazing!!) I would HIGHLY recommend their services to any pet parent! We have boarded our cats with Pet Palace for years now. This particular location has staff that are very attentive, caring of pets, and true animal lovers. Frequently they go the extra mile to make sure our pets are well cared for. Its the reason we travel halfway across the state to board our cats at this location. Great all around.
Where would my dog and I be without the amazing staff at Pet Palace in Hilliard? The staff and management are very friendly, the facility is clean, and I know my dog is in good hands every time I drop her off. Because of my crazy work and school schedules, my dog boards and goes to daycare on a weekly basis. Its a great option if your dog loves humans more than other dogs, as Pet Palace offers one-on-one play sessions for pets that would rather hang with people. Highly recommend!
First time boarding my 🐱 Tandy. Friendly and knowledgeable staff! Environment is clean and welcoming! Tandy was in 1 of the townhome suites and I was happy she had a window. I definitely will be using their services again! Thanks Erica for making my first visit memorable😊.
I have been taking my dog to Pet Palace in Hilliard for daycare and grooming for 4 years. My dog has always been treated like a family member. She loves the employees and has so much fun there. The grooming services are great too! The groomers are kind and patient and put my dog at ease while making her look and smell great! We love Pet Palace!!
I take my dog here 2xs per week for daycare and somewhat frequently for boarding. We have had nothing but excellent experiences! My dog absolutely loves going and gets so excited every time we say Pet Palace to him. Everyone who works there is so friendly with my dog and it is evident they all truly enjoy what they are doing. Highly, highly recommend Pet Palace in Hilliard for all of your pet daycare/boarding needs!
This boarding facility is the best!Our dog, Winston, is so excited to come here! So, I know he’s getting lots of attention and great care. Tina, the groomer, does a terrific job with him! He blows his coat twice a year and the grooming she does Is excellent!I highly recommend using Tina as a groomer and this location for boarding.
I have had nothing but great experiences with Pet Palace!! My dog, Scout, gets so excited when we arrive, he pretty much jumps out of the car! Ive boarded him twice here with no issues. I love the extras they offer - like extra potty breaks, group/individual play times, treats, etc.Lizzy, one of the groomers at this location is absolutely amazing! She is very knowledgeable and helpful when I have questions about Scouts coat and grooming options.
We have been taking Spike to Pet Palace for boarding and grooming for several years!! Weve never had a bad experience. When we pull in the drive and park Spike is so excited to get out of the car. When we go inside, everybody is very friendly. Lizzy usually grooms Spike, she does an excellent job! She asks what services we want for Spike and shes just genuinely happy to see him!!I recommend Pet Palace for all your boarding and grooming needs!!
We always have a great experience! We first found Pet Palace when I had to go on a cruise (we travel at the same time every year and usually have a family friend watch my dog but it became unreliable). I always see Pet Palace from 270 and figured I would call and try this place out. Best decision Ive made! I went in to take a tour and the facility was extremely clean and didnt smell like a traditional kennel, which was refreshing and impressive. I am an over protective dog mom and they answered every one of my questions and were very detailed during our check in. The best part, my dog came home so tired but I could tell she had so much fun. We liked that we could sign her up for the group play, ensuring she could socialize and get some energy out while she was on vacation too. I felt very safe leaving my girl here and no longer feel like I have to stress over who to leave in charge of her care when I have to travel! I highly recommend Pet Palace to every dog parent I know.
We left our two older lab sisters with Pet Palace Hilliard this past Memorial Day weekend! They encouraged us to call, and check in if we felt like it. Our dogs came home happy, well loved and didnt miss a beat!I love the fact that they get a Vacation Report so that we know what they did and how they were during our absence! My cat Parker at the beginning of his stay experienced medical problems that I was unaware of when I scheduled his stay and we decided to have him transported to his vet. Within an hour they got him to my vet and he was diagnosed with two medical problems that were quickly tended to. I will be ever grateful to Pet Palace for their quick response and excellent care while I was on vacation!
I worked at Pet Palace for 5 years & it was the best experience I have ever had. Starting at my new job I have never felt more safe & comfortable leaving my dog somewhere. I take her to daycare once a week & board her for a week at least once a month. Let me tell you, my dog is not the easiest dog to handle, especially there. I know from experience the great care that the staff members provide & there is no where else Id take my beast! LOVE PP HILLIARD!!!!!!!
This was my first time using the Hilliard location of Pet Palace. But I plan to use them again. I boarded my two 10 y/o pugs for 4 nights. Im always nervous about leaving the care of them to anyone. But I have to say Im totally pleased with the entire experience. The pugs seemed surprisingly calm and sufficiently worn-out when I picked them up. Their behavior at home that night was so much more relaxed than past instances where Ive boarded them with other places. The staff were very pleasant and seemed caring. They were very thorough in checking us in and going over all my instructions for feeding with their medicine and supplements. They also bathed them and trimmed their nails while there...which was the best nail trim I think Ive ever seen on my pugs (who are horrible with getting done btw). I loved the report cards I got for both of them with the personal comments and updates on their activities while there. I have decided to use to use them for both grooming and boarding in the future.
Ive always trusted this team with Addie when it comes to boarding and grooming. She is a dog who lacks confidence, doesnt like strangers, and can be intimidating (for a small dog.) The staff at Pet Palace always does a great job of transitioning her from me to their facility. She loves it when shes there, they all know her name and they give her lots and lots of hugs and cuddles.
Lizzy did a great job grooming my little Sophie! Lizzy seemed very caring & took time to let me know what a sweet girl Sophie is & that she did very well during her grooming. The staff is friendly. We have been going to Pet Palace - Hilliard for several years for grooming. Tina is the only person we have found that cuts our Yorkie the way my husband wants. Our lab is reactive and Tina does a great job keeping her calm and feeling comfortable during each visit. We love Tina!
This place has wonderful, caring workers who take excellent care of my dog, whether for boarding or doggy daycare! My dog loves coming here and they all say how much they love seeing Midi. She appears happy and comfortable when I pick her up. They do a great job, offering extra services and treats (if ordered) like a bath and nail service. Ive always been pleased with their service!
The employees at Pet Palace do a great job in caring for my pet. I have seen the interaction with other clients pets and can see that they care about the animals in their charge. The facility is clean and when entering the reception area, one can view the housing areas and the indoor play area. There is also an outside fenced-in supervised play area for dogs. I have observed the interaction with others pets and can see that there is adequate attention given during play time. The staff are kind and professional. They take the time to answer your questions and offer a number of other services for your pets. Cost for boarding and care is quite reasonable. Kudos to Pet Palace!
Weve been using Pet Palace for over 7 years now......our senior big dogs shared a kennel which was a godsend for reducing anxiety, etc. they have now passed and our new girl, Abby had her first visit this past week and did so well for a puppy. weve always been impressed with how clean and committed the staff is in handling any special needs, meds, routines. the followup report card on your pet is most reassuring as well. thank you all.
They have everything you need for your pet, the staff is friendly, and our puppy loved going there! He cannot get inside fast enough! They do not have cameras to watch your dog and dont tell you much about what they do while there, but you still feel like your pup is in a safe place.
We love Pet Palace, specifically the one in Hilliard, OH. We have been taking our sweet rescue Jobe here for grooming for years now. He loves going to get groomed by his friend Lizzy. He is a collie mix with long hair and Lizzy does a wonderful job with the full groom. He loves how caring and loving everyone is at the Hilliard location, and how much Lizzy takes good care of him. He always goes in with a wagging tail and leaves with a cute bandana and importantly still wagging his tail :)
I will never go to another dog daycare again! The staff are great! Each time I go to drop off my pup, I am greeted with friendly smiles and someone is always excited to take Romeo to his kennel. Best daycare I have ever taken him to and I feel confident that he is safe and well taken care of. Highly recommend.
I have been taking my dog to this pet palace for years! They are so sweet and take such good care of her! She always gets a cute bandana and she smells so yummy!!! Great job to everyone who works at this location!!
We toured the facility before boarding our two dogs there. Clean, bright and no odor in the fairly large, and well-occupied space. Everyone was pleasant and informative.Most importantly, our guys seemed fine with their first weekend at a new camp.
My dogs were happy and safe in the hands of these people. I was treated great too!
My puppy Ricky loves Tina a Pet Palace Hilliard and so do I as well as my husband. She is always friendly, patient and does an amazing job!!!! She was very accommodating when Ricky got sprayed by a skunk a couple of weeks ago. Most important Ricky now recognizes her voice when ever he is there for a boarding or groom and absolutely loves her!!!!!
Our golden-doodle loves staying at Pet Palace in Hilliard. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Its obvious that they care about the safety and security of every pet. Weve used boarding and grooming and highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable place for your dog or cat.
Tina Martin has been grooming our son’s dog Thor for several years now. Thor is a gentle soul that can get scared easily and he just loves Tina. She takes great care with him and is very alert to any changes in him physically in addition to grooming him. When he had a skin issue, she called it to our attention before we saw it and we were able to get him to the vet to get it treated and he has been good since. He is always well groomed and just smells great when we pick him up. You can tell he feels better about himself and he doesn’t like the bath but hates to leave Tina. Can’t thank her enough for what she does and the great care she gives this member of our family! Cheryl Hay
We use the Pet Palace in Hilliard for both boarding and day care. The staff is fantastic and always provide great service. We use the day care at least once a week and take advantage of their bulk-packages when offered. I like that the staff always gives us an update on how our pup did, who she played with and we know they spoil her as much as we do. Having a great place to take care of the fury member of the family is one less thing to worry about when we travel. Thanks guys!
Great place to take your pet. The staff are super nice and treat our dog as if he is their own. We have a 7 yr old American bulldog and he loves it there. If he could talk he would probably as to live there. Pet Palace gets 5 golden crowns in our book!
Very clean, friendly staff. My Pitt bull loves going there for doggie daycare! Hes happy when he goes in and happy when he comes out.
An easy 5 star rating for overnight pet boarding. You can’t beat their hours of operation and they do a great job. The staff is nice and very thorough with how your pet did. Heck, they even told me what dog they played with the most during their extra play time! This business operates like a well oiled machine. Well done!
Lizzie at the Pet Palace in Hilliard has been grooming our little Bichon for quite some time now, and she does a beautiful job -- one of the very best groomers weve ever had. I also believe Lizzie is very caring and gentle with her furry clients, which is important as well. I highly recommend her.
Abraham is an older dog who has desperately needed additional interaction since his beloved human left for college. He has found it at Pet Palace. Each Friday I can count on him being very well cared for. In addition, their grooming staff is top notch. Tina Martin has groomed him twice and both times, I have been very impressed with her work and the way she treats him as if he was her own!
Pet Palace is wonderful! We use the Hilliard or the Airport locations regularly, and the staff is always very friendly, and treat our pets as though they are their own. We usually receive a report card on how our pet behaved with personalized notes from the caretaker at the time. Great value, comfortable place, great care!
The Pet palace is a a place where we dont have to worry about the care our dog receives. Our dog gets so excited each time we pull into the driveway for the Pet Palace. We use the doggy daycare and boarding. They know our dog by name and love her like she belongs to them. The staff is always polite and treats us with care each and every visit. I would recommend the Pet Palace Hilliard to anyone who loves their pet!
The rooms were super clean, the staff really were attentive to my pet. Took the time to find out about my pets eating times, the staff asked permission and didnt make assumptions on certain things. Makes you wish all hotels would give this level of service.
Lizzie Henson has been grooming my Scottie, Finn, since he was a puppy. Does a great job and they really like each other. Everyone here loves the animals and it shows. I have been having Scotties groomed for 25 years and Pet Palace is the best!
We initially came here with some trepidation, having heard mixed reviews in the past - however I have been nothing but impressed with this facility. We have an anxious dog that doesn’t really like many places aside from our house and the outdoors, but she is okay coming here and knows a few of the staff on sight. When we have been gone for extended periods (a week) they sent us pictures and emailed us updates after we called to see how she was doing.Some time later am employee talked to us to “warn” us of neglect but after talking to the managers and seeing the processes in place it was safe to say it was just a spiteful employee (who was let go for unannounced reasons). When pets are involved you will always hear good, bad, and ugly - but for our difficult dog this place has been outstanding.
Tina is absolutely the best!!! She is very patient and kind with our small dog who has a lot of anxiety. I always love what a great job she does. I would not go to any one else for grooming.
We rarely leave our dog anywhere. This group did the best they could to make us comfortable. We liked all of the extras offered to make sure our dog got enough attention. Easy check in and out.
As soon as we pull onto Lyman Drive, my dog, Todd, starts the tail wagging and excited whining! I bring Todd to Pet Palace in Hilliard 2-3 times each week, and there is no where else that I would even consider boarding him when I travel. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They take honest interest in each of the dogs and care for them with compassion (and patience :)) This place has been a huge help in my busy life and overprotectiveness of my pooch! We used them for grooming service. The groomer asked plenty of questions to make sure the trim was just what we wanted. The rest of the building looked very clean and the dogs looked like they were having tons of fun. The staff was very friendly
The groomers Tina and Lizzy were absolutely wonderful to work with! My golden retriever is a on the heavier side and very stubborn for grooming (use to go to petsmart) but they were still able to groom him. He looked great as well! I will always come back to Tina and Lizzy from now on.
Well, all I have to say it that Pet Palace was wonderful! I had a week long gap between moving and needed a place for my three cats to stay. They were able to stay in a nice, clean cat condo together in a room that was quiet and temperature controlled away from dogs.The entire place seemed very clean and well kept, and the staff were very nice. For the week that my kitties stayed here, I was able to call and check in whenever I liked and the different staff members made notes on a sheet every time they interacted with them, which ended up or a cute sheet full of nice comments about their different personalities ect.All in all it was very affordable considering how many cats I boarded for such a long period! I would recommend and I am sad that I dont have one in my new city.
2nd time after staying their my dog has gotten a virus after staying. Not sure why it happens but feel like its decenly priced to have to pay a $200 vet bill after paying for boarding.
We love Pet Palace! Whenever we have to board our Sasha and Lobo everyone is so excited to see our pups. Sasha is getting a little older, and the staff gives her extra blankies to be comfortable. We add individual playtime and always get a fun report card afterward about everything the staff did with our doggies! They clearly enjoy our babies as much as we do. They also do an amazing job with grooming!

Used this place a number of times to board my cat when my apartments were being fumigated. Good place. Friendly staff. Pretty strong smell of urine, but I guess thats to be expected with a bunch of animals together in one place. In other regards, it seemed clean and it looked like they treat the pets well.
I love Pet Palace Hilliard! When your dog is like you baby it is VERY hard to drop them off to be boarded. I typically cry actually, haha, but the people at Pet Palace make me feel like he is really loved. My favorite part is the report card I get when I pick him up. I also like that I can add on extra treats and one-on-one dates. Thanks for taking good care of my Rocky!
I recommend this place for grooming, have not tried boarding services for our pets. We bring our German Shepherd here, Lizzy always does a great job, there are options available, all workers at Pet palace are always friendly and helpful.
We recently moved from Columbus, and I miss Pet Palace a lot! We used to take our lab for boarding and doggie daycare - the staff is very knowledgeable and cares about all the dogs. They monitor play time well and follow owner instructions to the tee when dogs are boarding. Im sad we no longer get to bring our dog there, and I can only hope to find a place half as good where I live now!
Addie is a Shih Tzu who has had some very ruff hair cuts in the past. We started seeing Tina for grooming about a year ago and haven’t looked back since! She is so sweet with Addie, professional, and very thorough in her consultations each time. Not to mention Addie always looks SO GOOD every time I pick her up! Can’t recommend her enough!
Our Riley loves this place. All the workers know her when we walk in. They don’t know us but they know her by name and her purple ball. Even when she missed 8 weeks for surgery and came back they reminded me to get her ball for her. She gets so excited to go. We tried 3 other day cares before she really liked this one. She goes every Tuesday.
Tina does a fantastic job grooming our little miniature poodle puppy. We asked for a teddy bear cut and people always say she looks just like a teddy bear. Great grooming experience!
Their staff is always so friendly and helpful when I drop off or pick up my dog. They also showed above and beyond caring recently when my dog was sick. She had an upset stomach after coming home from boarding for a few days, so I called to see if anything had gone around. They hadnt had any problems and mentioned that she seemed fine when she was there. Long story short, I think she was just not used to the treats I paid for her to have while she was there, and that it was nothing they did wrong. What really stood out to me is that the staff members I spoke to were really concerned about her and interested in helping, and actually called me back a few days later to check in on her. I thought it was so great that they expressed such an interest in her well being and made me glad I take my dog there. The only thing I wish is that play groups or one on one attention didnt cost extra, but I wouldnt let that deter me from taking her back.
My rescue Dusty loves Pet Palace. He loves play group and all the care/ attention he is given. We know he’s well cared for in a safe environment each time he’s visiting. The staff is the Best !!
Wow, is all I can say!!! We have been taking our dog here for awhile. Our dog is currently there and I felt so obligated to write a review while on vacation because of how well the customer service is. We noticed our dogs kennel needed cleaned (we paid for the camera monitoring), so we called them and expressesed our concern. Not even 5 mins went by before someone was cleaning it! They were not neglecting our dog either, it was just the order they go in to clean the kennels. So they went out of their way to make it priority. We also called because our dog gets picky about eating while boarding. We let them know if you sprinkle cheese over the food that our dog will eat. Again, not even 5 minutes went by and there was cheese on the food- simply amazing! I never feel like the staff is annoyed when I call either, which is comforting. I cant thank Pet Palace enough for loving on our dog and taking care of our dog. I refuse to take our dog anywhere else when we go on vacation. I reccomend SO many people here as well! Do not hesitate to bring your fur baby here!!!!!
We have a dog that is extremely anxious and they were wonderful with him! They were even able to give him a bath when he typically wont let anyone but us. We love how light and clean the facility is and everyone is always super friendly.
My pup has such a great time whether its for doggy daycare or for an overnight! They always take great care of my pup and she is always beyond excited to go.

Tina could not be better for grooming. My German Shepherd perks up when I mention her name when time for grooming. She is great as have been all my contacts at Pet Palace, Hilliard, Ohio!

We boarded 2 of our Labradors at This Pet Palace location from May 15-24th. We have never boarded any of our 8 labradors anywhere else but our hometown boarding kennel in Washington Court House that we have used for 20 years with no issues or sickness.....but since 2 of our labradors have been living with our son in Columbus while he is in college..... we chose Pet Palace Hilliard for them.Well 2 days after they were picked up they starting hacking and gagging and throwing up.... they have Kennel Cough!! And above all that they have infected all our other 6 Labradors since they came to our home for the summer before we knew they were infected. It has been a nightmare as it is still going through all the Labradors and we are on our 2 nd round of antibiotics and they are taking cough pills every 4 hours! And two of our Labs are now on steroids since their cough is soooooo bad!We will never use Pet Palace again or ever recommend Pet Palace!!Highly Pissed off about this situation and the money we spent for our labs to stay at Pet Palace only to suffer through this horrible case of kennel cough as well as the money we are spending on antibiotics, cough pills and now steroids.
We left our beloved dog Mulligan for 2 weeks with Pet Palace. They did a great job. He came back in good health, looking great after the bath, and well adjusted.
Tina has been grooming our goldendoodle, Clark, for years now. She does a FANTASTIC job, and we are very satisfied with her work. Clark always gets so excited to see her and is always happy after his grooming. Thanks Tina!
Do not expect this company to help with understanding if problems arise. We came into Columbus from out of town with expensive theatre tickets and booked motel room, looking forward to an overnight stay. We had boarded our dogs there previously but were unaware that influenza vaccination was now needed. No one indicated this when we made the reservation. When we arrived, we were told that there was no possible way that our dogs could stay. Thought we might be able to board them at our vet which wasn’t quite possible since they were several hours away. To say that our evening was ruined is an understatement.
My experience at Pet Palace in Hilliard started off not great but 1 person turned that around quickly,My mother is moving to Ohio and has a dog that is her baby, so we were visiting kennels in the area that her Baby could stay at when she travels,When we fist walked in there was only 1 person at the front desk we asked if we could ask some questions and take a look around the receptionist said she could answer our questions but since she was the only person there she could not walk us around, but about that time the kennel manger walked into the lobby and the receptionist asked if she could show us around, she said no that she was very busy and it really was not her job, the receptionist looked like she was gonna have a stroke and we started to leave and never come back.But as we were starting to walk out the door another employee was walking in and the receptionist was very happy to see her and asked us to please wait that the womans name was Denise and she would be happy to help us (mind you the receptionist never asked Denise first she just knew that she would help) and she did.. as a matter of fact Denise never even took the time to put her purse down she just jumped in to help. she apologized for the confusion and started answering ALL of our questions and showing us around, her pride and love for Pet Palace quickly changed our minds about never coming back.
This is the best place for dog boarding in columbus ohio. People are Very professional, friendly, place is extremely clean and well maintained, no smell at all. They take care of your pets really good and you dont need to worry about your little ones when you are vacation. We have been using them for more than 10 years now, never disappointed
My dog knows he is going to Pet Palace when I say want to go bye bye, and he gets so excited because he knows he is going to play with other dogs. So glad I found out about you and your wonderful staff and grooming, and the cleanest facility ever. Max loves daycare!!!!
Just picked up my dog after his grooming and the comments shown in his grooming notes were as folllows “weird on the table, pulls and strangled himself. Dumb lab”. It was his first time being groomed which we made abundantly clear, however the groomer (Tina) didn’t seem to have the empathy or patience to help him calm down. The “dumb lab” part of the comment is further indicative of a lack of caring or compassion for our dog. Won’t be back.
Love how they take care of my dog. He seems happy to go and like hes been well taken care of when I pick him up. I recommend this place for your dog! Im very particular as who I have taking care of my bestfriend
They took good care of our greyhound when we had her there for doggie daycare. We liked them so much we made a reservation for boarding here when were in the area for a wedding later this summer instead of using a local kennel.
My dog goes to daycare here one day per week and loves it. The staff is always great! We have boarded several tmes as well. My pup loves to go here!
This review of Pet Palace in Hilliard is long over due but after our emotional rollercoaster the last few months I am just getting to a place where I can write it. We have used this location for many years. First with our 2 dogs that passed away of old age and again with our most recent pet Maddie, our rescue that we had for 5 years. Maddie had been boarded with Pet Palace for one night in October. In the morning on our way home we received a call from Erica that Maddie was not herself, had pale gums and a low body temperature. They called our local vet who recommended that Maddie be taken to the emergency room. Since we were on our way home Erica took Maddie herself. Maddie was seen in the nick of time for a ruptured tumor in her stomach. The staff at Medvet said if not for the fast acting response of Erica and the entire team at Pet Palace we would not have had Maddie with us. Unfortunately, we did find out a week later that she had cancer and she passed away in December. Not only did Erica take Maddie to the emergency room she called me a few times afterwards to see how Maddie was. If not for the incredible staff at Pet Palace we would have never had the precious gift of a few extra months with her. She was an amazing dog and I am so incredibly grateful for their fast response in recognizing she was so ill and for their concern and follow up afterwards. When or if we are ready to get another puppy I will still use Pet Palace. Thank you for everything.
Pet Palace is a great place to board your four legged friend. The staff members are really sweet and professional. When you pick up your pet, they provide a report card letting you know how your pet did . Pet Palace is my go to place!
Love love love the staff here! Always super friendly, and I trust my pups are in good care when I leave. Really like that you can do add ons too like play groups, one-on-ones, and extra potty breaks. Perfect because we have a huge goofy great dane who always wants to play, and then an older spaniel who just wants to be lazy and get pets. Works out great for both of them. Staff is always very prompt in responding back if they are not able to get to the phone right when you call. Only suggestion I can even think of is it would be fun if there was a video cam for play groups so we could watch them play, but thats probably me just being a crazy dog mom :)
My experience at Pet Palace in Hilliard has been wonderful. I work pretty much 10 hours or more a day and my dog is there every single day. I feel so comfortable leaving Deisel with the staff. Everyone is so friendly and really likes to see Deisel stroll in everyday.Thanks for taking care of my dog!Perry (Deisels dad)
We take our weimaraner, Gunther to daycare and boarding at Pet Palace in Hilliard. He LOVES it. He doesnt look back when we drop him off and he always appears to have a great time! I trust their services and would highly recommend them!
This place is amazing! They take the time to get to know my dog and always let me know if anything happens! They are on top of it!
This was a great place for animals. The only thing I didnt like was that it smelled like wet dog in there and the floor was extremely sticky but other than that it seemed like animals would love staying there. They cater to dogs but also have a large area for cats and actually have an iguana and lizard area.

I had a busy morning, and was running late. When I showed up at Pet Palace, I was told first thing: Your grooming appointment for your dog has been cancelled because youre late. We can reschedule. Me: I can leave him here for the day and if you have a chance to work him in, that would be great. PPFront Desk: No. Were booked solid. Youll have to reschedule. Me: Out the door I go, never to return. I might have been happier to reschedule if instead of telling me Youre appt. has been cancelled because youre late, PPFront Desk had said, You know, we have a busy schedule today, and unfortunately, weve had to move forward with other clients. Would it be possible for you to reschedule? We have appts. open tomorrow (or whenever). I KNOW Im late - cant you see the frazzled look on my face? Do you think youre telling me something thats going to make my day any easier? Nope. I voted with my feet. I drove down the road and found a groomer who knew his customer service and was happy to schedule my dog in the next morning. Problem solved. Pet Palace will NOT be receiving any more of my business - including boarding. Too bad. If they had spent some time on customer service training for their staff, they might have saved this client from walking.
Lizzy is the best!!! My multipo, Zandy, loves her. Lizzy shows that she loves dogs and her job. She always listens to my concerns or any new issues. And as a bonus, we always leave with a bow or bandanna.
I called everyday to check on Ruby my 1 year old boxer and they checked but the last day the girl just told me no news is good news without checking on her. I called them and told them I would be late because my plane was delayed picking her up so I didnt send enough food so they chose not to feed her. we made a surprise visit to pick her up from the airport and my husband walked back with the worker to get her and since she chewed up her bed (Which we assumed she would ) she was laying on concrete and not on the 2nd blanket I sent. That blanket was never given to her. She had no water in her cage so we have no idea when she drank last. She was so thirsty. There are young kids manning the desk and caring for these animals. I didnt see an adult in sight. All of the times I called to check on her when I had a flight delay not once was I told about the food and not once told about chewing up her bed. First time coming here and last! Very disapointed!!! Stayed May 29-June 2nd.
Have enjoyed boarding our dog at the Hilliard Pet Palace for years, the staff are all amazingly friendly and Kaylee (our dog child) actually likes to head in for daycare or boarding. Great place, great people, highly recommended.
Love this place! Had my Buster there for 4 days and he was a happy pup. Had a bath upon exit and smelled so good and was very soft. Stayed like that for 4 weeks . Highly recommend them

They watched our cat while we went on vacation. The facilities are so nice, and price is so reasonable. Our cat didnt even want to leave when we went to pick him up.

Pet Palace always does an amazing job of taking care of my Shin Tzu, Cali. I always feel comfortable leaving her at the Hilliard location, the staff is friendly, caring and knowledgeable.
Had to get dog in kind at last minute because new a/c being put in called thurs for friday for doggie day care they even let me fill out paperwork night before on way home from vet to save time. Guess she liked it they said she liked to explore

I was never concerned for Maddies safety while there. She is diagnosed ADHD with severe seperation anxiety and can be a handful. My only concern was I asked that her chew bone I brought be put in with her. I explained this is like a pacifier and she chews to relieve stress. I never saw it on the cam in her suite with her over the entire weekend. Often saw her on the bed panting through the night and day, as she does when stressed with no way to relieve it. Other than that she obviously had great care! Thanks!

I havent brought and pets here but I had a family member that worked here. She was sick in the hospital for days and they kept calling and trying to get her to come in. They also told her that a discharge paper/ doctors note wouldnt work for her absence and said they would write her up! Wouldnt recommend working here!
Really have loved this place. Hate having to take my dogs for boarding but they always seem happy to be here. The staff is exceptional ally nice and really seem to care for the pets.
I highly recommend Pet Palace for grooming. Izzy does a GREAT job with Han Solo. She has a client for life!

The staff is trained to cater to your pet in a way no other place will. Your family is their family and they will do anything to provide that comfort and security for you.
Nice indoor and outdoor facilities for the dogs, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are pretty reasonable, especially since this kennel is a little more upscale than others.
We’ve boarded our dogs here several times and both times have been pleasant. Our fur babies were taken very good care of.
Be warned that not all pets adjust well to this kind of thing. Have a good emergency contact if this is your first time leaving your pet at a place like this.No fault of the business, just a warning.

My dog loves coming to daycare and play group at Pet Palace in Hilliard. I recently needed to board him for one night and he did great with that also.
This location does not answer the phone. Ive called this location multiple times recently and had to leave two voicemail messages before anyone would call back. I find this to be completely unacceptable. What if there were an emergency involving my pet ? I probably would not be able to get in contact with anyone at this location until it was much too late.
Treat workers terribly, i witnesses them treat there employees with the up most disrespect when they were just doing there job i will not be bringing my animal anywhere near your establishment whos knows how a manger could be treating my dog by the way they treat there own workers.

2022-03-29Clean, safe place for your pets to stay on vacation or out of town trips. Loving staff take excellent care of your fur babies. They will use your food or provide a mid quality food if you choose. Only thing that could be improved is the check-in / check-out procedure is very time consuming even for regulars. I always request an exit bath so they come home clean and so happy to get love from their humans. To Very good value for the dollar.

2022-07-10Hello! We recently picked up our puppy fromhere, and he had a great time! he got the small group play time, and LOVED it. He had a great time, and employees were very kind and super understanding when he had an accident when he saw us, he was very excited. But why I put four stars is because they nicked him. We got him an exit bath and a grooming/ nail trimming, and they nicked his nail and he ended up bleeding. But overall, it’s a great place for your dog and Im glad he was treated well!

2022-07-31I have been a customer at Pet Palace Hilliard location for ten plus years. I boarded my new dog 7/21-7/24 2022. When I brought her home she regressed with house training and her behavior was through the roof. It didnt occur to me that she might be ill until she became very lethargic, coughing and sneezing. The Vet diagnosed her with Kennel Cough, despite having been vaccinated in May. My dog has required antibiotics and pain meds for a sore throat. While I understand that vaccines do not provide 100% protection, I dont feel this should have happened. I did contact the manager and while she was sympathetic, relayed they have been extremely busy and the dog may have been exposed by another dog not showing symptoms. Im not sure how my otherwise extremely healthy dog could become so ill with Pet Palaces protocol for showing proof of vaccinated. Probably not going back.

2018-11-30This place is amazing. We use it every time we need to go away and cant bring the doggies. The is extraordinarily friendly. The place always looks outrageously clean. They provide many services here such as playtime, grooming, one on one playtime. Inside and outside play area. Treats and extra care. Even have some units with camera to look in at your dog at anytime. Pricing is fair and again the staff could not be anymore friendlier than they are. We always get a daily progress report have how the dogs done and any issue that happened. If that eat and how much. Who they had playtime with in the yard or inside depending on weather. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that is looking for overnight stay or even just a day care for a few hours. Many options and opportunities

2022-01-20My one-year-old Labrador Retriever LOVES to go to the Palace in Hilliard, and therefore, I highly recommend it. Whether for daycare when you need to get at your to-do list or overnight, they’re great about giving him what he needs and taking great care of him. I’m admittedly picky about his care, and I have nothing but compliments for Pet Palace.

2022-01-18Pet Palace Hilliard always takes good care of our dogs. We opt into the play groups and the one-on-one playtimes. The employees answer the phones and all of our questions when we have them. One time they lost our reservation I made over the phone before a vacation (and we had to scramble), so I would suggest using the online reservation system. Also the place is LOUD so I would not suggest this place for sensitive or timid dogs.

2021-11-27I love this facility. I take my dog here regularly for boarding. They are a little pricey but in my opinion it’s worth it because you can choose several add ons - size of room, when they eat, if they get extra potty breaks or play time, etc. They’re always kind when I call or need to move an appt. I’m picky about where I leave my dog but always feel comfortable dropping her off here.

2017-01-16I have been boarding my pups Max and Lola at the Hilliard location for 3 years and have always been satisfied with the care. However I feel compelled to write this review because of my recent experience with this amazing group of people. Last week I boarded the pups 5 weeks after Max had bilateral knee surgery. I felt safe leaving Max because of my previous experiences at this location, but 6 days into their boarding I got a call from the supervisor Lisa saying that Haley, their other supervisor, saw something concerning with one of Maxs surgery sites. Being out of the country, there was nothing I could physically do ... but they reassured me that they would take Max to his vet and call me with the progress. Later that day I got a call from the vet and he told me that all was well, and Max had a small stitch abscess. But he made it a point to tell me that he was very impressed with the attention to detail that the supervisors had because the area of concern was no larger than the tip of a finger and very easy to miss. Suffice it to say, Max was started on antibiotics and is doing great. So I really want to thank the staff at the Hilliard Pet Palace, with a special thank you to Haley and Lisa. This is the only place I would think about boarding my pups. Cheers!
