Peking Restaurant in other cities:
Excellent lunch prices. Not the greatest Chinese but decent. The sesame chicken is better when you let it cool down before eating. Need better egg rolls but other than that we frequent them often. Order online most of the time. No service fees or anything. Delivery takes A LONG time.
First time ordering today. Beef and broccoli tasted old but it was okay. 3 out of 10. And the family mixed dish (shrimp, chicken, beef, etc.) was rotten. Like it tasted very old and rotten. There’s no way that is following the health department rules and regulations about how long to keep food. Broccoli in beef and broccoli tasted okay. But the broccoli in the family style one was soggy and old! To me seems like the family one is all their old left over food mixed together so they don’t have to throw it out. NEVER AGAIN.
Ordered from there a few times. Food was okay. Most recent time when we got home and looked at our order, it was wrong. Called to see if they could remake it, and the man said he’d have to charge me again. Told him I didn’t think that was right, because we always order the same thing and there’s never been an issue before. Told me he didn’t know what I was talking about and what I ordered isn’t something they have on the menu... but they do? Very poor customer service and man was very rude and countinued to talk over me and not allow me to speak. After ordering there in the past, I’ll never order again.
Got the general Tso’s chicken and Szechuan lunch specials, chicken fried rice and crab rangoon. It was all pretty good. Much better than other Chinese places in Lakewood that I have tried.Oh and the guys working here don’t talk or smile much, but I don’t really care about that if the food is good and fresh ( which in this case it was).
While eating my egg roll I actually had grease dripping off of my hand. Which sadly was the best item in my meal.I got the orange chicken. There was hardly any flavor, I actually asked my husband which one he ordered for me. It is the dark meat chicken which is mostly breading and fat. Also had the crab Rangoon which was also disappointing, there was hardly any filling inside. It was also over fried so they were also very dry
Was checking out the dollar store when I saw this chinese restaurant. Never been to this one so I order Pork Lo Mein. It was your usual chinese take out except that the food was wonderful. The lo mein was not greasy and the staff was friendly. I even try their fry dumpling and wonton soup which I love. I have been to several Chinese take out but this one is the best.
Well....the steamed dumplings were good. The fried wontons were so fried i now have lock jaw. The hot and sour soup had foreign creatures in it and was bland. The shrimp fried rice tasted like it came from a freezer...was expecting better quality food for the price i paid. I wouldnt reccomend going to Peking restaurant.
If I could rate a zero I would. Ordered General Tso Chicken; it was delivered with a piece of metal sticking through the chicken. I asked the order to be refunded, they sent an incompetent driver to pick up the food to verify the metal piece. The driver rudely interrupted our conversation to answer his phone to take another order. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS DISQUSTING BUSINESS. Still have yet to be refunded despite returning the entire foul order.
I thought they were a good place, but called them to let them know they charged me twice. Owner I presume was rude and accusatory, which made it hard for me to explain to him the situation. Instead he was yelling at me, wouldn’t let me speak until I raised my voice to get a word in because he wasn’t letting me finish. When I told him I got charged for someone else’s order and that I was looking at my charges online he still wouldn’t listen. He also purposely was speaking loudly and fast and wasn’t making any sense of he was saying. when he said I’ll give you your money back if I charged you twice which he did not but then said something how it was my fault not his. He wouldn’t give me my money back, and I won’t be coming back. Oh and they got part of my order wrong. So if you want to be ripped off this is the place for you. Seriously all he had to do was apologize and give me my money back. He didn’t have to be rude and didn’t have to raise his voice at me. I had to hang up because the conversation was going absolutely no where which is probably what he wanted.
Only once. I tried Peking last night for the first time. Not impressed. While this restaurant is supposed to be take out OR eat in...dont eat in. I had to keep my coat on because it was freezing. The food was mediocre. I wont go back. I will say the staff was friendly. Their English is VERY limited

2022-04-03Tried this place yesterday and it was pretty decent. The shrimp toast was good! Mei Fun needed more meat and veggies, but still hit the spot. Going again to try a few things mentioned in the reviews.

2022-02-25Best Chinese food in Lakewood, OH. Mongolian beef was tender, high-quality, and flavorful. The steamed dumplings were perfect. Well done, folks.

2022-03-27Nothing here is terrible or excellent. Its very consistent, and reheats well. Its a safe choice for Americanized Chinese food.Edit:I upgraded to 5 stars because the most recent time I ordered from here the food was noticibly better. I get the fried dumplings and boneless spare ribs, and they were both even better than I remembered. Im pretty sure they changed how they make the dumplings. They were quite a bit different than I remember them being, but I like these new ones better. And the spareribs seemed higher quality.

2020-06-26Tried Peking for the first time and it was excellent! We had it delivered and the food came fast and it was hot. Everything we ordered was delicious. Their prices are fair. They have beat out our favorite place in Rocky River. Peking will be our new go to for Chinese food.

2021-05-31UPDATE: Went recently again and Ta-Chien chicken extra spicy spice was great! Upgraded to 5 stars.A good Chinese takeout place, nothing special, but good prices and not too greasy. The garlic chicken is my favorite of the lunch specials. They also once misunderstood me over the phone on my order and made something else, but they quickly fixed it and gave me the right thing for the price that they stated on the phone.

2021-04-01The worst place Ive ever ate! We ordered $40 of food, and every dish was mostly onions. Half of what I got was onions. There was next to no flavor. And when I called, they didnt care. If you want to have a horrible experience, come here they wont let you down!

2020-10-03I hate to give negative reviews, and although I (use to) love their food and the convenience of them being super close to me....the last 3 times I have ordered, they did not include the egg roll in my combo meal (pretty much the purpose of ordering the combo meals is to get everything in 1 simple order) and last night I would say my meal was mediocre, at best. Pre-Covid, things were more efficient and tasty. Assuming they took a hit, like a lot of small businesses...but may I suggest taking the combos off your menu, if you dont want to include the entirety of the meal? I hate sounding like a Karen but also dislike not receiving what I thought I was ordering/paying for, on multiple occasions. (To be fair, I called 2 out of the 3 times to report the missing in action egg roll, and they brought it to me...but gave up calling this 3rd time, its getting somewhat mundane)...
