This was the first time I tried Patricks. I picked up a carryout but the inside looked clean and well maintained. The Gyro I bought was good. There was a good amount of meat that was slightly crisp on the edges the way I like it. Lots of tomato and onion and a good amount of tzatziki sauce. The sauce was thick but didnt have a lot of seasoning. Overall a pretty good gyro for around $8.00. Next time Ill try the chili and the chili dogs.
Me and my family came in for the first time yesterday. After looking at their menu online and seeing that things were decently priced, we decided to try it.the food was ok, not anything to call home about. But the real problem was when we got the bill. EVERYTHING and i mean EVERYTHING was priced $2 to $3 dollars more than the menu we seen online. we mentioned it to the cashier and she replied you seen our old menu, then preceeded to go around to the cook and talk about us.i was expecting a $70 bill not $100 bill. very disappointing.i would not recommend going there when i could have taken my family to a nicer restaurant for less.
I used to really like this place! It makes me sad that I went in today, the women’s restroom was out of order so I had to use the men’s and of course had to put the seat down 🤮 but then washing my hands in ice cold water didn’t add to the experience. I then went in and sat down at a table and it was like 58 degrees in there. Of course it’s only 14 outside but still! I felt like that was strike 3. I got up and left.
We sat outside and were greeted promptly. Our server was new and made some mistakes, but she was friendly and trying hard. We were there for a late breakfast, but the full menu is available all day. The bacon, eggs, and home fries were very good, the French toast, biscuits, and sausage gravy were just ok. Decent food, decent service. We would visit again.
Me and my husband used to eat here every Friday morning for breakfast. Food and service has went down hill. Smaller portions, same price. Everything is pretty self serve now as far as drinks and condiments. I guess they had their kids there and they were loud and running around. Don’t know if we will be back. Such a shame, this was our favorite.
Ate there a year ago and everything was great. Today I got a chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes. There was literally a pound of mashed potatoes, which were microwaved(hot spots and cold spots) they put the steak half on the potatoes(got it cold) then drowned everything in sausage gravy with huge chunks of sausage. My friends sandwiches were good, and the sandwich I ad in the past was good, but they served me microwaved leftovers, theres alot of places with good clubs, wont be back, microwaved my 13 dollar meal.
I love supporting small, local and family businesses but the food in which my family tried made us sick and was terrible. Catfish sandwich was partially raw. Chicken fingers had some type of hair attached, were hoping corn husk. Soup of the day was complete water and taken off bill. I am not a complainer. The server was fine. But tea was cloudy and my water even tasted off. The greatest part of it, my family bonded over how terrible it was. Will not go again.
This could be the worst restaurant I have ever been to. I dont like leaving bad reviews but this one is just a given. We waited about 50 minutes for the food and everything deep fried had hair all over it. The chicken was completely inedible and everything looked very unappetizing. I dont know how they messed up potatoes but they did. The water was CLOUDY. How do you get cloudy water??? Everything was undercooked. 2 out of the 3 in our party puked less than an hour after eating this food. Dont touch this restaurant with a 10 foot pole.
Unorganized, trash overflowing, supposed to bus your own table. Chinzy plastic utensils. Weak coffee. Expensive for what you get. Peoples orders not coming out in the order placed. Good sausage gravy, flat biscuit, good goetta, but I got one small patty & a few small crumbles.Wish we had read reviews before attending. Some reviews pretty graphically disgusting.Wont come back or recommend.
This was the 1st time trying this place. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak with fries for carryout. Everything was cooked perfectly. The cheese steak was a lot better than your typical Penn Station one and was not too salty, a common occurrence when I have orderd these from other places. Definitely one of the best ones Ive had in awhile. The fries were also very good. They were not undercooked, another common occurrence and again, it was not too salty. Will definitely return.
The food was excellent! We went on a Wednesday for dinner and they were not too busy. However, the service was terrible. The waitress forgot about us and it took us 15-20 minutes to order. Not only that she was coughing and took her mask down when we went up to pay. Also the waitress was on her phone multiple times during our visit. We also had to grab our own food off of the tray which was very odd. But the food is great! Service just needs work.
Jessica was Great! She was very friendly and supportive. Fast because she the only waitress and ten occupied tables and still our food came out quickly. I had a ham and cheese omelet and give it thumbs up! It is nice local restaurant. Ill go back again. Thanks Patricks.
Wanted something home-cooked & this place was on the top of the menu selection when searching Google Maps. I ordered the Fish Log Dinner & My Husband ordered the Mearloaf Dinner. The restaurant was alittle hesitant on the availability of our items we ordered but was told from someone Im the background they did have enough. (This was on a Sat dinner rush approval 6ish). We pulled into the establishment, which was hard to tell if they were open or closed due to the landscape & over grown grass, shrubs & weeds in cracks of the concrete but called to confirm we were Im the right place & where to pu our order. They brought our order out to us which was convenient & off we went to yet home to eat. Both dinners looked, smelled & was pretty tasty. My husband ended up with stomach aches & pains then was in the bathroom the rest of the night. Im sure the meatloaf was pulled from a leftover dish but who knows & my husband is alive so not the 1st time nor will it probably be the last as I just feel so bad that hes always the one this happens to when we find a new dive, unfortunately.
Food is okay nothing special. The reason for only giving 2 stars, is based on the counter ordering and the fact that servers split tips with the cooks. Anyone who has been in there regularly knows that the cook is also the owner. The fact he makes his servers split the tip money with him is disgusting and pure greed. I wont be back
A poor experience from walking in the door. No signs about seating yourself or waiting to be seated, another customer informed us to seat ourselves. The waitress came over quickly and took a drink order, but then I had to ask for menus after sitting at the table and receiving drinks.Despite being one of 3 customers in the restaurant food took over 40 minutes to come from the kitchen. The chips with my sandwich were 90% crumbs from the bottom of the bag. My wife paid $3 extra for fries instead and received about 15 french fries. Then upon receiving the bill found a charge for the kids drinks which are included with the meal. Took about 10 minutes to have the cook come out to the register and show the waitress how to remove the drinks. All told spent 1 hr and 15 minutes at the restaurant, received mediocre service and food.i would not recommend eating at this Patricks
FOOD WAS WAY OVERPRICE.....I would rather wait in a 2 hour line at the DMV than eat at this place again! The service was dreadful! Our server decided after taking our order that she was no longer going to serve us and just hung out behind the counter. We waisted 2 hours at this place for food that was below average. If you have nothing to do and have plenty of money and time to waist this is the perfect place for you if not I would HIGHLY avoid this place at all cost!!!!!
Very friendly environment...however, no one there was wearing their masks correctly, or at all. The food was a disappointment....the mashed potatoes had no taste at all without the gravy....the green beans were way way too salty....the Cole slaw didnt have much flavor either. The meatloaf wasnt bad...wish it had more flavor, but I liked that it was home made, which was better than Bob Evans meatloaf
Service was great from Alex. Management was very nice and willing to have the food fixed to our liking..but the problems seemed inherent and unfixable. The food was pretty bad, no way around it. I ordered a 4way; it was very small portions and there was hardly any chili or cheese on it. The noodles were soggy and tasted as if they came out of a can. My 10 year old ordered an omelette, which she liked, but the potatoes that came with it were cold, rubbery, and tasted like they had been sitting around all day. My 3 year old ordered the kids spaghetti..she took one bite and wouldn’t eat anymore (normally a great eater). Management gave us 20% off..which I honestly felt was not enough considering how bad it was. Oh well, $20 down the tube. I’m sorry to say I will not be back. I feel bad leaving a bad review for the place because the people there are so nice...but honesty is best. 😖
Quiet little gem! WE LOVED IT! The servers are sweet, the food was DELICIOUS and good portions. So happy we stopped in, and Im sure we will be back many times. Great diner style food and then some. My cheeseburger was delicious, fries are the battered style (yum!) and boyfriend had a reuben which he loved. Clean place.
The food was excellent! I had the everything omelet and my boyfriend had 2 eggs with the meat platter. Service was terrible. The waitress did not bring out food out on time. She never refilled drinks. Only stopped by to see us 1x . Waitress Gave someone there order first before us, even though we came into the restaurant first. The ham was not hot in result. The cook did his job the one to blame is the waitress.
Me and my wife used to eat here all the time when we moved to the area two years ago. Everyone is always friendly however, we have noticed the portion sizes getting smaller and smaller to the point where it’s not worth the money anyone. Today I got a sandwich and fries my fries were 1/3 the amount they used to be and they was cold and soggy. Very disappointed again considering I even pay a up charge for fries.
I went there with my daughter and granddaughter. During the meal, the owner stopped by to make sure everything was going OK. The food was great, the service also. I wish I couldve eaten many more of the offerings, however the Reuben, fries and chicken quesadilla did me in. Great atmosphere and location. Like Arnold, Ill be back.
My favorite is one of their specialties, a huge cheese burger, cooked to perfection without even asking....accompanied with shoestring crispy, hot french fries. But, chili, bean soup, vegetable soup and mock turtle soup would be a good choice too. So much good food to choose from and not enough room under my waistband.
Got the chicken dinners when it came vegetables mashed potatoes and green beans ice cold they apologized took it back and when it came back out it was still cold in the middle. This was two dinners me and my wife both the same way. On the plus side soup and salad was good and the service was great from the waitress
SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!! Waited an hour for our food, and people.that was set before us were eating and left. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.......GO TO GOLD STAR ACROSSED THE STREET or BETTER YET, GO TO STATE LINE RESTURANT.....SERVICE AND FOOD IS BETTER. PATRICKS RESTAURANT IN CLEVES SUCKS AND NEEDS TO CLOSE FOR GOOD!!!!!!!!!!
Cheeseburgers were frozen patties. Waitress was three days in and forgetful which we understood. I got the philly cheesesteak and the steak had a flavor I cant put my finger on. They were out of toilet paper so they had cut a roll of paper towel in half... the American flag outside is worn and needs replaced.Overall the place was a cool hole in the wall that was made out of an old bank but I feel it could use a good clean and a more inviting paint job and the pictures of random people removed. Unfortunately, not worth our 40 minute drive
As usual, the food was very good. Minor issue with a coupon. Offer was free childs meal with purchase of adult meal and drink. We purchased 2 adult meals, but no beverage as we both drink water. We were told we needed to buy a beverage to use the coupon. Silly, as we had already purchased a second adult meal which was several times the cost of a beverage.
The food was HORRIBLE, I felt sorry for our watress, the cook had the watress ask us which one of us wanted the gravy on the item we ordered. Cause they didnt have enough for both. Sadly it was a order of sausage biscuits and gravy. Really? You could tell they never change the oil in the fryer, we all felt sick that night and the next day
Great food and service, I went there With my husband and kids and we had the gyro sandwich and philly cheese steak sandwich and we also had the soup which was extremely delicious and my kids had the kids Tenders and the kids spaghetti it was great and tasty they loved it . It’s hard finding a place we all love but this place is it, I will definitely be back!!!
First time visit. We wanted to see what the hype was about. Hostess was rude as hell. Our waitress was good. The food ....well...the fries where good. The BBQ was like ketchup and sugar...the open-faced roast beef tasted like a damn frozen banquet dinner .mashed potatoes where burnt from sticking to the pan. The spinach and potatoes soup was more of spinach and broth. Not sure what everyone else sees....must just be a local thing since options are limited. Ill burn the gas to go elsewhere next time.
Doordashing Patricks Family Restaurant is always good (the ruebins and gyros are particularly good!) but dining in is a much better experience. Very family friendly and able to accommodate our stroller. Staff is attentive and the owner is super nice. HIGHLY RECCOMEND for a quick bite and/or family dinner.
Pretty good place, I had the Blueberry Pancakes, very good Pancakes. They could use real butter though (margarine is straight junk) and real syrup, yeah its more expensive to get the good stuff but a way to keep em coming! Landra, I believe that was her name, was as fantastic as she was lovely and kind! I will return for a mushroom and swiss burger!
I always want to like family owned restaurants but there is nothing good to say about this one. The staff and what i presume to be the owner were incredibly rude. I havr never been in a more inhospitable eatery. The environment is cold and univiting. Just smells like grease.
My husband and I come in here about once every 7months hoping that the food will get better. I am done trying as of today! I ordered breakfast 2 eggs over medium ( no white runny stuff) of course it had white runny stuff. Getta fried crips, it was not. Home fries with cheese and onions, there was no cheese and the very thin sliced potatoes were not done.Toast burnt with no, absolutely no butter on it. Who serves toast that they have burnt? This restaurant that’s who. WTH is wrong with this cook? No we will never be back here unless we know that this cook is gone!!
Family restaurant but lacks charm. Its an old bank with tables. The menu is huge and all over the place as far as food selection. You have options from meatloaf to gyros to salads. The fried pickles were delicious and a huge plate but the gyro was dry and lacking in meat.
Food was delicious. Everything tasted homemade. We had the chicken salad sandwich and a steak hoagie. The steak hoagie bun was soft on the inside, crispy on the outside & you could see the melted mozerella pull apart from the sandwich with every bite. Mmmmmm! Cole slaw reminds me of my late grandmas secret recepie. Tracy was our waitress, very nice and on top of refills. I didnt catch any other staff members names but kitchen staff came around to ensure the food was cooked to our liking as well. Very friendly. We will be back for more!
Word on the street is there a rip and tear restaurant as a chef for many years i found it quite old school the burgers pattied fresh cooked to order the greek style chili was really good im sure made in house the crushed ice for the drinks was a refreshing change the prices were reasonable for quaint old school diner like state line or howies its. A place to go ive not had there double deckers or fish sandwich but if its anything like j and js or the cabana or kings inn im sure it will be good of course you can only have so much fresh but a hand beer battered cod goes along way fresh soups and home style dinners 4and ahalf stars for me highly recommended for a family reunion style grill out

2022-01-20Had a great meal here. The everything omelet, home fries and French toast were all perfect. Price point is the same as other home cooked restaurants but the flavor is unique and taste is amazing. Glad we stopped in.

2022-03-13Well, the fried pickles were good... and that was where the good ended. Our server seemed inconvenienced by our being there, Ive seen sloths move quicker, her attitude set the bar pretty low. I ordered a double cheeseburger and subsequently told my kids I should have ordered the regular burger because then it would have only been half as bad as the one I received. Totally bland and overcooked to the point it was crunchy with every bite. Literally the worst burger I have ever eaten. My wife had the fried chicken salad, which was just iceberg lettuce and a few red onions with a few pieces of chicken. My son had grilled cheese and fruit cup. He expected some fresh fruit and instead received a plastic cup of krogerfuit salad with a plastic lid. Daughter had corn dogs and they came out completely overcooked to where she only ate one of the corn dogs.good news is my family and I bonded over our shared misery of visiting this place, I hope I dont end up getting sick. We should have gone anywhere else and had a better experience. Save your time and money and pass this place instead of going in.

2022-02-19Where to start. Waiter was asleep behind the counter when we walked in. Came in with a party of four. It was so cold we had eat with our coats on. All of our food was bland, tasteless and either over cooked,Too greasy or almost cold. The salt and pepper shaker were very sticky. This used to be a great place, not anymore. It was overall a very gross experience. And price wise we could’ve went to red lobster or Oliver garden. The best part of it all was the music on the radio. Steer clear of this place

2022-06-10Food is always amazing. Where they lost some stars is the promptness of their cooking and order pick up. May not necessarily be the staff, I understand that. There could be a system malfunction or anything. But I will say, I placed an order online for pick-up and it said ready on the website approximately 20 minutes after the time I placed the order. I got to the restaurant to pick it up 5+ minutes AFTER given pick-up time (now 25 minutes after order placement) and went in only to be told that it would be another 15-20 minutes. No customers seated in the restaurant and workers were walking around listening to loud music over the speakers. They obviously didnt get my order. Not sure how reliable their online ordering system is, but I dont think I will be using it again. Aggravating!

2022-05-04Fantastic food & great service. The Moe sauce is awesome; especially on a burger. The chili is likewise superb. Very polite & social staff.

2022-03-13Food was nasty. I dont usually leave negative reviews but this one I had to. Take this as a warning. First of all, I orded corndogs and fries. The corndogs came out overcooked, My fries could use a lot more seasoning. My brother ordered grilled cheese and some fruit. The grilled cheese came out greasy and it fell apart. Thats not even the worst part of his meal, We expected a little bowl of fruit but instead he got a plastic fruit cup. Next, My father ordered a burger and some fries but his burger was gross, chewy, and unseasoned. My mom ordered a salad and it came with a head of lettuce and a few tomatoes and pieces of bread. Overall this place was one of the worst places I have ever been in my life. The salt and pepper shakers were gross and sticky. Our table was sticky too. We found a half and half cup for coffee. WE DIDNT EVEN GET COFFEE. I have more things to say, The service was horrible. The waitress was slacking off and mostly sitting behind the counter.I dont recommend this place at all. After we ate we felt sick to our stomachs. Please dont eat here.

2022-02-21Food was great the waitress was awesome only thing I didnt like is the owner wanting tips? Waitress deserve all of there tips they definitely shouldnt be splitting them with a owner period not right at all that needs to be changed other than that place was great
