Don’t let this hidden gem pass you by. I went there with my wife in the rain Saturday and while it looks like it might just have pizza and a lunch buffet on the outside the quality of this food is 5 star and the family who runs it are very nice. I would recommend the ravioli, veal or shrimp scampi. All of their sauces are exceptional. We’ve been back twice in 2 days because it’s already one of our favorites for a well priced quality Italian meal in Columbus.
This place advertises a lunch buffet for $8.99 thur-Sun from 11:30-2pm. Literally hàve not seen it put out once. Guy said sorry maybe you should call first. So if youre interested in the buffet Id say go elsewhere. They will more than likely not have it out, and I dont think they really care about the false advertising on their store front. I noticed from the other reviews the owners here like to dispute pretty much every bad review so Ill leave a pic of the false ad. TL;DR just go somewhere else its not worth the effort.
Fine food, the waiter (manager?) was nice, he talked to me as I was eating alone. The seafood dish took quite a while to get to me. I ordered two meals to go so that my boyfriend could eat when he got off work and so that I could try what they are famous for. Everything tasted good, certainly not fine dining. Id say their use of onion was a but excessive in all the dishes.
The food and service are always amazing. Fresh on site made pasta is to die for. I never expected to find such high quality food in a small mom and pop setting but here we are and how wonderful! We have tried the pizzas, sandwiches and the pastas. I am a pasta aficionado and this place is legit. We have traveled extensively and this is the closest to eating in Italy as we can get. Highly recommend!
Best Italian food I’ve had in Columbus hands down! The baked ziti is phenomenal, and the manicotti and spaghetti were a 10 out of 10. Tonight I tried the Lobster ravioli and it may be my new favorite. It’s a shame it took me this long to find this place. Keep up the great work!
Oh my goodness. I ordered from this restaurant for the first time last week through Postmates. The prices seemed very reasonable, as compared to other Italian chains and restaurants, so I took a chance. Just WOW.Ordered fettuccine Alfredo, and it was, hands down, the best I had ever had. Creamy, dreamy sauce, and unlike nearly every other restaurant Ive tried, there was plenty of sauce! I ordered a side of extra sauce, as is my habit everywhere else, and I didnt need it! The sauce didnt separate, with butter sitting in the bottom of the container. The fettuccine was delicious -- not dry, not sticking together, but also not slimy -- just really excellent. It was also a nice, generous helping. Also had meatballs, which were served with a bit of their red sauce in the container. Yum. The meatballs were big, juicy, delicious, super flavorful -- everything you would want them to be.I had been thinking about that awesome meal every day for a week now -- so I had to order from Pasta Villa again tonight! It was just as delicious as last week! I ordered shrimp Alfredo this time, and it came with these huge, plump shrimp on top, that had been marinated in buttery garlicky deliciousness. Even though it (of course) cost more with the shrimp, I still felt that the value and quality are way better than every other Italian restaurant Ive had in a very long time.I picked it up myself tonight because I had to see this place -- and it was just a low-key, unassuming space in the middle of the block. It had warmth, and history, and a friendly owner (I think?) who gave me my food. I cant wait to eat there at the restaurant once this pandemic is behind us, and they are back open for on-site dining.
I gave this 2 stars just because it was edible..I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. I was really craving this and had seen some vastly differing reviews but decided to give it a go.It seriously tasted like Stouffers fettuccine Alfredo. All the reviews saying this place is good is extremely confusing. And when I say it was edible.. barely. One thing about frozen meals that really grosses me out is the chicken. This looked and tasted exactly like stouffers and the chicken did too. I ended up picking all the chicken off and trying to savor the noodles and sauce. Which once again.. tasted like a frozen meal. I’ve had much better fettuccine from Olive Garden which I never considered good until I had this..
Chicken alfredo was great, the shrimp was awesome, had ordered off door dash but food was still hot and pasta villa definitely follows special instructions for your food as well. I personally didnt like the chocolate cake but thats neither here nor there everything else ways amazingly
Saw Pasta Villa on a Best in each state list so we had to give it a try. This is a no frills place that does a lot more carry out than in house dining. The seafood combo over pasta was incredible! The veal eggplant parm was just ok. Enjoyed visiting with the owner...gotta go back and try some other dishes. Very affordable.
Amazing food and service! We walked in on a day that dine-in wasn’t supposed to be open, but because they forgot to put the sign up, they let us dine. So sad to hear they just don’t have the staff because this place has great food and great people that work there - so friendly and welcoming!!
Its been a while since Ive found a restaurant that I can give a full 5 stars to on a review, so Im excited to share this review! Traditionally my family orders Italian from Brio, Bravo, or Olive Garden... and I was about to do the same today, got my shopping cart complete on uber eats and hit the submit button to place a delivery order for Brio. To my surprise an error came back saying that my address was too far away for placing this order (Ill be leaving another review for uber eats to tell them how frustrating that experience was)!Well now I was in a dilemma. I had already promised my mother, father, and wife that we would be getting Brios in an hour. I quickly searched Italian and found Pasta Villa in the results. I saw similar dishes on the menu to those that I had placed earlier, and decided to give it a shot...and not tell my family that we werent getting Brio today. Trust me you dont want to tell an Indian family that youve messed around with their food order, the wrath will come down on you hard! The food came in within an hour as was anticipated by the uber eats ETA and I saw my family looking at the plastic bags with a surprise since normally we get the fancy paper bags that have the logo on it... I made up an excuse that they must be out of their normal delivery stuff, and nervously awaited them to try the food. All three family members started talking about how delicious the food was and started debating about how the cook must have changed. They absolutely loved the food! I then took a few bites of all the items we ordered and seriously felt like the food teleported me to Italy!Had an amazing experience with this restaurant, I called to speak to the owner to tell him how much we appreciated the food and he was super humble and down to Earth! This restaurant is going to become a normal part of my uber eats rotation now and I urge you to order from here when you get a chance, because you wont know what you are missing out on until you try it! By the way, we all had a good laugh after I explained to them that it wasnt Brio! We all agreed wed go there in person once the pandemic is over. Here is a list of things I ordered and recommend:Seafood MarcecataChicken MarsalaProscuitto Portabella RavioliStromboliItalian Sub
The parmigiana was perfect and their deserts are too good to be true!! It’s just a small family running the business, so you might wait a minute for them to notice you come in, and you might wait a minute to flag them down for your check because they are busy cooking you the best Italian in the city and it is worth every moment of waiting. They really know how to make exceptional sauces and they care how you feel about each meal. The owner came out and asked me if he could have cooked it any different. This is the quint essential small American family business and I’m so proud to support them!
Absolutely loved the ambiance of this place!! My best friend and I were looking for a good place to sit down and eat, and we stumbled upon it super close to campus. The food was AMAZING (I got the shrimp scampi) and the tomatoes were even home grown from the waitresses garden! The service was the best I’ve had anywhere in so long. You can tell that the staff really wanted to make sure you felt welcomed and taken care of. Wish I could give more stars and definitely will be back!!
I meant to take pictures of the main meal, my husband got Lobster Ravioli and I got Chicken Marsala....they were both very good!!! The dessert was also very good, the gelato was so refreshing as was the lemon cake! Everything tasted fresh and authentic! Prices were great for the food quality! Owner was nice and talked to use throughout the meal! (I’m sleeved on both sides, so I saw no discrimination against tattoos) They have only been open a year, will go back for sure!
Ordered take out from here last night and was pretty disappointed. I had a calamari appetizer, which came out soft and not very crispy. Part of my order was not calamari rings (were more like nuggets) and these tasted like fried clam. In my eggplant parmigiana, the eggplant was good, but the angel hair was very stuck together and had quite a bit of fettuccine in it as well. Hopefully the dine-in experience is better.
I know nothing about Italian food but it all tasted good to me. Girl comes from a very Italian family and she was impressed by most of their dishes except for the fried ravioli. It’s def good, just not as good as her moms. You can’t have her mom’s though, so enjoy this
The girlfriend and I just ate here for the first time the other night and loved it! Great prices and friendly owners that know how to make some great homemade pasta! She had the veal marsala and I had the lobster ravioli with a meatball side. The veal was tender and had a great sauce and the raviolis had a great taste that only comes from homemade! Great desserts too! We will be back!
Hands down the nastiest spaghetti I have ever had a waste of 27 dollars the driver fee is insanely high but wanted to give them a chance. Figured people couldn’t mess up spaghetti. I was unfortunately quite wrong. The noodles were kinda hard and cold. The sauce was god awful. The meatballs weren’t terrible tho so at least they got that going for them. Unfortunately I’ll never order from them again.
Pasta Villa is a favorite of mine. Every time I go to Columbus it’s a must-visit. It has the best calamari I’ve ever tasted not to mention the pizza and chicken alfredo are great options. The restaurant is a very cozy and welcoming environment and I received great service from my waitress. I had the same server the two times I’ve gone there roughly a month apart and she even remembered who I was and we talked quite a bit while I was there.
I have been here at least 3 times now, and the food has consistently been excellent. Ive had the penne with beef and sausage marinara, the ravioli with vodka sauce, and my personal favorite - the homemade gnocchi with meat sauce. The portions are generous, and all entrees include crispy, buttery garlic bread that will be refilled upon request at no charge. Very affordable too for this grad student. The owners are also very friendly, and Ive chatted with them a few times. This is honestly one of Columbus hidden gems. Do yourself a favor and give it a try
The best eggplant parmigiana in town! Everything my wife and I have had here has been fabulous! Just brought my dad and step-mother, who are use to going to villa nova, they loved this place so much better! If you are eating in, wait time may be a little long, but the food is totally worth it!
Everything Ive tried so far here has been delicious. Ive tried the Chicken Parmegan, the Gnocchi, and the Baked Ziti. The cheese bread is also great as is the garlic bread. I went tonight with a friend who got the 6 Cheese Ravioli and she said it was really good too. Every time I go, my instinct is to get whatever I got last time because it was so good, but Im enjoying sampling the different items on the menu and I look forward to continuing to try what they have. The owner is really friendly and makes you feel right at home, and you can tell he loves what he does. Every time Ive been in here, its been mostly empty, so I really hope business picks up because it will break my heart if this place goes out of business. Its extremely convenient for me because I live only a few minutes away, but even if it were on the other side of town, Id still make the trek. The prices are reasonable and the portions are large.I almost never write reviews for any place I go, but I love this place so much that Im happy to take the time to do it, and I hope my review encourages anyone whos thinking about trying Pasta Villa to give it a shot. I doubt youll be disappointed.
Really enjoyed our time here. Youll have this place pretty much to yourself on a weekday. We had the manicotti and prosciutto ravioli, and both were quite good. The pasta was a bit unusual (but good); its possible they might make it themselves. The sauce is just a tad on the sweet side if I had to say, but really neither too sweet nor too acidic. Theyre generous with the garlic bread, which is really saturated with garlic butter - how can you hate that? Theres a good selection of desserts (try the limoncello cake) and great drink specials from 3-6. Theres a large parking lot in the back as well as street parking in front. Really friendly people--theyll take care of you here!
The lady was very friendly, very helpful and sweet but, I dont know who said this qualifies as authentic Italian but, Im Italian and this is nothing close. Not one of the employees even came close to being Italian. Littlle Ceasars has better pizza than this..I paid 70+$ for pizzas, calzone and stromboli and it was nasty. The pizza was wet on the bottom if the crust and super greasy on top, it basically was droopy when you picked it up. The stromboli and calzone tasted like basically nothing and had hardly any filling. We didnt even eat it.
Ive been here several times. Every time I have left full and satisfied. Their food is delicious, their prices are unbelievably low (easily half the cost you would pay at any other Italian place in Columbus), and their portions more than filling. If you are looking for a fast, casual, and delicious place to eat, definitely consider Pasta Villa. I especially recommend the strombolli!
Unassuming and simple when you walk in, but the food is the best that Ive ever had in the U.S. We tried the Italian Wedding Soup, the meatball side, calamari, stromboli, and spaghetti and meatballs. The calamari was a little overdone, but everything else was exceptionally flavorful! I believe the lady that served us is also the cook and her personality was a ray of sunshine in that restaurant. Definitely try this place! You wont be sorry!
Pretty good. Got a personal pizza (10in) with pepperoni and bacon. Sauce is a bit sweet, but liked it. Pretty big pizza for a personal, and got it for just $7 (I think I got a discount cause they were just opening the business). Nice staff and big place. Worth the money.
I wasn’t sure what food to get delivered on Grubhub but I definitely knew I wanted some good classic Italian, a home cooked meal style place. I ordered, and then my heart sank after reading the negative reviews. Here it was 9:15pm and I thought oh no why did I order this?! Scratch those reviews, the food was simply amazing. Thank you staff and owners!
This still has to be one of Central Ohios best kept secrets! The food is amazing, and the baked ziti is off the charts delicious. Was thrilled to learn that the owners relocated to this location from Worthington Hills.Havent had better Italian entrees anywhere else in Columbus.
I walked in here on my birthday was not that hungry but wanted something sweet plus I heard that the food was pretty decent, and wanted to check out the menu. .First of all I walked in and noone was at the counter and it felt dark and gloomy inside. SO after standing there scratching my head. A guy came out from back I asked for a menu and he just seemed annoyed.weird vibe, did not want my business. He seemed bothered by my presence. I Will never return!!!
We are so happy to have found this place. The owners were VERY nice and friendly. We ordered the Bake Ziti & Spagetti and meatballs & Italian Sub. Everyone in my house was impressed with the taste and 3 items fed 3 adults and 1 child. We will be back for dessert next time :-D
The food was great but better than that the service was warm and welcoming. We will be back to try the pizza and calzones. Pasta was cooked perfectly and the red sauce is some of the best ive had. Portions were generous for the price and worth every penny. So stop in or order out, you wont be disappointed.
Just had food delivered and spent 50.00. Worse Italian food I have ever eaten. The meatball tasted like dog food and the Palestinian chicken was horrible peppery hot. I had to throw the meatballs away and scrap the breading off the chicken. The breadstick were burnt and hard. Disgusting.
Came here to try the lunch buffet, and the staff was so incredibly friendly. It was a slow day so the buffet wasn’t set up when we arrived, and they took the time to make all the buffet offerings fresh to have available for us. Food was hot and delicious, and the stromboli was exceptionally good. All around great experience.
Excellent food, best chicken parm in town. If you want more garlic bread just ask! Owners very friendly and accommodating. Its been one of our regular spots now since February when we first tried it out. Weve never been disappointed in the quality of the food or the service. I have no qualms about recommending this family owned restaurant.
Finally, great Italian food in the Old North District of Columbus. Great prices, good portions, homemade sauces and pasta and fresh ingredients. The chicken marsala, piccata, shrimp scampi, and lasagna are delicious. You can tell from talking with the owner that he truly loves his food and his customers. A true gem.
This was probably one of the worse fettuccini Alfredos I have ever had. 1) the smell as soon as I got it was terrible and 2) it tasted like if I microwaved a freezer burnt 10 year old lean cuisine. So far from impressed, which is sad because the other reviews raved about this dish.
This was top to bottom the best dining experience I’ve had in this town. The service was impeccable. IThe pricing was incredibly reasonable and I expect I’ll be dreaming about the food until I get it next (I’ve already planned to return for my birthday next week)I’ve been looking for the best meatball sub in town for most of my adult life, and this one shot past any previous front runners upon my first bite.I can not recommend this place enough.
I didnt want to go to a restaurant or cook tonight and I wanted spaghetti so it was a delight to find this restaurant. Extremely different in that the meat wasnt in a sloppy-joe consistency, rather like thin pieces/chunks. The sauce was really, really good. IF I had know it would be this good I wouldve ordered triple the sauce! Thank you so much, I will order again!
Good food, quick service, and friendly faces. I work right next door and I frequent this place because they are always speedy and the food is great especially for the price. So far Ive had the white pizza, the fettuccini alfredo, and the meatball sub. The sub was 10in and only about $6. All of the food is clearly cooked fresh and made-to-order. I would definitely recommend this place if youre looking for a good, quick, cheap bite.
Oh my gosh. I cant even say enough about this place. The owner came and talked about the business with us for about 10 mins. This place is amazing. No joke. We ordered the chicken Alfredo with broccoli, all meat calzone, and 2 canolis (she was hesitant because they usually do 4 to a table) for $33 (with tip). Alfredo sauce was perfect. Broccoli was well-steamed and the chicken was great. Order online, pick up in store, or just come hangout with the owner (its usually pretty slow even though they do good business just off campus. #CheBella
Im seeing all these 5 star reviews talking about how delicious the food is and how great the service was and I wonder if Ive hit my head or something...this place was TERRIBLE. Our server was incredibly awkward and mixed up every single thing we ordered, and I had to go up to the counter and stand and wait for someone to acknowledge me just to get our drinks refilled after waiting at least 20 minutes for them to come check on it themselves. Theres nothing I can say to redeem the entrees, my husband and I got drastically different menu choices and both had zero redeeming qualities. My spinach ravioli consisted of six (yes, SIX) tiny, straight from the freezer to the microwave to my plate ravioli floating in a tasteless, watery sauce that I have no doubt would not have been enough food to leave my infant child satisfied, for the absolutely ridiculous price of $13. A $13 pasta dish should not only leave me full, it should rub my back and take out the trash afterward. Then the pièce de résistance, the breadsticks...a piece of stale sesame bread cut into 3 pieces for two people. Dont eat here unless you like to pay a lot to be disappointed. This place is always a ghost town, and now I know why.
This place is off the charts! What a find. The menu is everything you could ask for in aurhentic Italian food. The meals are excellent and so are the prices. A very family-friendly affordable restaurant. We will definitely make this our go to place, even though we live on the other side of town. Owners and staff are great people. You must support this local establishment. 5 ☆☆☆☆☆
We had the lasagna, chicken alfredo, tiramisu, lemocello cake, and cheesecake. All phenomenal. Would definitely come back if Im ever in the area again! Friendly service and very reasonable prices. Sadly did not get any pictures as I was too preoccupied with how good it was.
Went there for lunch buffet which was not ready yet. Asked whether they still have the lunch buffet and been told that it will be ready in 10 mins. Waited for two hours and still no sight of pasta. When asked again when will be the pasta be done after waiting patiently for more than 1 hour, owner said it will be done in 10 mins again. At the end left because we can’t wait anymore. The service was very slow too. Do not understand how the place got such wonderful review online. One of the worst and most awkward restaurant experience.
Ordered the delivery of some fettuccine alfredo and it was quite disgusting. The noddles tasted a bit firm and the sauce they used was pasty and horrible tasting. Shortly after I started feeling nauseous and then proceeded to throw it back up. Definitely wont be ordering from here again.
I told the guy that I wanted a sausage pizza and he was too busy talking to someone else and finally got his attention and he said thats going to be 20 minutes rudely and rolled his eyes at me while he said it and when I ordered the pizza I said no veggies and when I got the pizza there were veggies on the pizza and guy rudely said Im not refunding you sir! Pointed and laughed at me as he was talking in some different language and I was polite and kind the whole time. Avoid at all costs possible
FOOD POISIONING ALERT!!! - I got severe food poisioning from Pasta Villa after ordering the fettuccini alfredo for delivery via Uber Eats. I called the restaurant the next day to just give them a heads up that something was wrong with the food, but the manager argued with me the entire time, saying I must not have the right restaurant and that their chicken is fine (the pasta I ordered didn’t even have chicken in it). I asked him to look up my order to confirm that it was the right restaurant, and indeed it was. 24 hours later, I had to miss work and still haven’t been able to keep down anything except saltine crackers, and I’m pretty sure I’ll never eat Alfredo again in my life.
ORDERED ON GRUBHUB, I INDICATED TO PLEASE ADD PARMESAN CHEESE BUT THEY DID NOT INCLUDE IT BECAUSE I HAD TO PAY EXTRA??? WELL IF YOU ARE SERVING ITALIAN FOOD, IT SHOULD BE COMMON SENSE TO ADD IT OF HAVE IT AS AN OPTION TO PAY FOR IT DISAPPOINTED... THE ALFREDO NEED IT THE EXTRA FLAVOR.

2022-07-19Terrible. Every dish was such a waist of my money and if I wasn’t very hungry, pregnant and everything else was already closed I would have taken it all back and asked for my money back. Barely managed to eat half of anything anyway. To start, nothing was fresh!!!!! I read other reviews saying the food was fresh but I have 15 years experience working in the best restaurants (the pearl, due amici, Mitchell’s steak house, etc.) in Columbus and I PROMISE nothing was fresh. Meatballs were frozen and microwaved and I can taste it. Confirmed with worker Cesar dressing is not made in house. Dressing was not normal creamy dressing but split as shown in photos(oil from other ingredients). The lettuce was dead (soft/old with no crunch). Hardly any cheese and croutons were certainly not made in house. Meatball red salsa also tasted like it came pre frozen in a bag from a restaurant supply store. Lastly the tiramisu portion was tiny for $10!!!!!!! I would willingly pay NO MORE than $4.50. Extremely angry that I gave this terrible restaurant my money…I know almost all restaurants these days serve pre frozen food but I am still surprised when paying top price for food the quality is so efffffing CHEAP. CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP.

2022-05-30Syeda and her Sun had such beautiful energy. The pizza was so delicious and cooked to perfection. Syeda even had me take a look to see if it was to our liking before heading out the door. Great family feel and serene dining room. Stopped by on Mothers day for a pizza picnic and we cant wait to go back to try other menu items. Pasta Villa definitely lived up to the box, youll find the greatest pizza here.

2021-12-19The last time I had Italian food this good, I was in Europe. We were the only ones there, which is sad to see for such an amazing restaurant, but it was great. The garlic bread had some of the best crispy flavor I’ve probably ever had and the mozzarella stick sauce was incredibly creamy. I had the goat cheese ravioli and the sauce and noodles were so well done, with amazing flavor. And I tried a slice of pizza, which had super fresh ingredients and a very delicate, crispy crust.

2018-07-09OMG the online pictures are so deceiving and the prices are also way off. For the first time we ordered a large pizza fully loaded we substituted the sausage for extra cheese, but what we got was just ridiculous. Also Id like to include their online menu stated that a large fully load 🍕 would be $12 however, when I got there it was $15? Now the crew there were extremely friendly super nice in side also very pleasant place. Yet and still that was one of the worst pizzas I ever had. The crust was super thin the veggies were cut in big huge slices also there was barely any cheese even after asking for extra cheese and the pizza was just cold. Very bad 1st time experience. I was very frustrated I could have gotten three pizzas from Little Caesars that would have tasted way better than that one and I dont even like little cezars.

2022-04-02#1 Italian cuisine in Ohio. Never disappoints. Local owned the husband makes pasta and sauces fresh. His wife works in the front end. Great place.
