Panera Bread in other cities:
I tried Pepperoni PIzza Flat Bread in January 2022 . It was so good! Normally I dont even like flat bread pizzas, but the one I had from Panera in Florence, Kentucky today might be the best pizza Ive ever eaten. The sauce looked totally suspect, it looked like St. Louis rib sauce, but it tasted great. They didnt skimp on the herbs. This is sauce like I wish I could make at home.
Another favorite restaurant changing their food or drinks again. One is lowest star I have ever given a business. I wanted a frozen caramel despite using new recipe. I wanted to try anyway. The cashier rang up a caramel cold brew latte. Regular coffee and cold coffee are awful. I can drink one shot of espresso in a traditional large drink with lots of caramel or chocolate. Got my money back for wrong drink.. This is second time getting the French onion soup and it is changed too. Does not taste like I had a few months ago. If Panera Bread keeps changing recipes for everything I had liked before, I will only be able to eat the tuna salad sandwich or the baked goods. Very disappointed right now.
We was at your location last week with my family and one of your employees ruined our entire day with her attitude problem. When my father went to tell her his order and she was rude and impatient. She had him so discombobulated that he began to stammer and couldn’t get out his own words, my mother had to speak for him. My daughter was upset the entire meal because she (a child) was aware of how she had made him feel, we was all aware of what she had done. You would think someone who has a disability herself would have been more patient and kind to others but that isn’t the case. It takes a certain kind of person to work with the general public, just like it does to be a teacher or nurse. If you are unable to project your own issues onto others then maybe you should try another position that does not require that skill. I do hope that this never happens to another family.
Panera Bread is my favorite place to go for a quick lunch, they have a variety of items to choose from, my favorite being the Broccoli Cheese soup. I have enjoyed almost everything that Ive tried with just a few exceptions. Even during this pandemic theyre still doing their best to make dining at the restaurant or their pick up service, the best experience possible. I dont live near a Panera so Ive not been able to use the delivery service but I have no doubt its great as well.
The interior line was very long. I went to use the Kiosk to purchase a bagel pack. They were out of plain cream cheese. And I found out that using the Kiosk doesnt make your order any faster. So I left and decided to get one bagel through the drive through. Again informed out of cream cheese. I went to pay, but the clerk said my card was declined. I called my bank. I got back in line. This time a different person swiped the card.......no problem. The first person was rude and seemed like a bitter person.i hope she has a better day..
Friendly and attentive employees. I purchased a fountain drink with my breakfast, and when I came back a few hours later for round 2 to order coffee and a pastry, the employee had noticed and covered my coffee since I had already paid for the fountain drink. Its these little things that can make a big difference in someones day. Thanks Panera staff!
We were excited when we found out a Panera was being built down the street from us, but let me tell you, that excitement quickly faded when we realized how terrible the service is at this particular location. We both work in customer service so it takes A LOT for me to get mad enough to waste my time complaining and writing reviews, but here we are. Each time we go to Panera, something is wrong with the order. I once did “rapid pick up” but noticed they did not put one of my items in my bag. I then had to wait in line to get this resolved, therefor defeating the purpose of rapid pickup. I went through the drive through and ordered some bagels, sliced and toasted with cream cheese. Got the order, bagels were neither sliced or toasted, no cream cheese, and also no silverware. Got home another day with a different order, realizing they totally forgot one of my sandwiches even though I was charged for it. I called in to speak to a manager and the young woman who “helped” us was extremely rude, unapologetic, and unaccommodating. She tried to tell me that all bags are checked before being given out to the customer. So if that’s true, then your employees at this store don’t know how to check orders. They aren’t doing a very good job. Anyways, ONE time our order was correct (amazing!!) however the breakfast sandwich bun was hard as a rock. Moral of the story, don’t waste your time or money on this location in Dent.
This was a warm, welcoming spot on a recent winter morning, their fireplace lit. The coffee was weak, but I mentioned that to the manager who asked me how things were. She promptly made a new batch that was much better. Thats great service.Every customer ordering food -even a bagel- gets a buzzer to carry. Each goes off for about a minute and creates an awful din throughout the dining area.
Im so glad they opened the Dent locationI have gone there several times, no issues. Friendly service. Good food. Always clean. I am not crazy about the layout of the store compared to others but it is really nice. I had their autumn squash soup and a brownie, 2 of my favorites but Ive liked every thing I have ever eaten there. I picked up 3 gift cards as well for Christmas gifts because everyone loves Panera!
A very unpleasant experience. Cashier made a pricing mistake on our order. It took for ever to correct and neither lady was nice about it. We needed an extra napkin and were told all napkins had been removed because people were stealing them. We will not be returning. McAlisters is across the street. They are very friendly and make us feel at home. They also provide napkins for their customers.
I came into the restaurant to order and the manager was just sitting out in the dining room not helping out the people in the kitchen! I ignored it, assuming he was just taking a break from the chaos. But when I was waiting for my order, he went back there and was very disrespectful to his employees and the customers ahead of me. My order was wrong and when I went back to let him know nicely, he claimed it was not wrong, and refused to refund me or give me my missing items. I had to explain to an associate the situation, which they then provided me my items. Will NEVER be going back here again, and I will be talking to corporate! I think his name was Jimmy on his nametag but I am not sure.
Not the Panera it was in the past. At 5pm they were out of menu items and the black tea tasted like it was days old. They had signs up for new pizzas, but no that didnt start till the next day. Panera was our go to in the past but the last several times left much to be desired.
Food is good but EXPENSIVE. Ive also had a few of the staff irritated with me for ordering enough food to feed my family of 4 or asking what they enjoy on the menu. I get that people are stressed out, especially now, but I shouldnt feel unwelcome or that Im the problem when I am trying to give money to your establishment.
The last 2 times Ive been to this location there is no one at the front counter when I walk inside. The last time I had to walk in the back and ask for service as I waited 15 minutes with 3 employees walking by without saying anything to me. Prices are very high too. 2 grilled cheese 2 bowls of soup and a bacon mac and cheese cost me 50 dollars and it was to go so no drinks either.
My online takeout order was missing an item so I let the cashier know. The manager first told me she would have to charge me for the item (as I was standing there holding my bag and receipt) and when I told her I had already paid for it she went and got the item. She asked if I wanted her to take the order back, not sure what that was about as all I asked for was the missing item. No apology from her at all and downright rude tone. I told her I would not be back to this location as this was not the first bad experience (the online order was not ready at all the prior visit and was evidently sitting in the back for 15 minutes instead of on the shelf) and she just said okay and walked away. I got the order back to my office and one of the sandwiches was missing the cheese. I called the corporate office for this location and they are supposed to address the situation, possibly refund the price of the incorrect sandwich and email or call me back. I will update this post if that happens. This was by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered at any restaurant.
My friend and I were there for lunch today her chicken noodle soup was totally broth with just a few noodles in her salad the lettuce was wet. My soup was not hot and the person who gave us the food was not friendly. I can understand why there were very few people in this restaurant at lunchtime.
2 stars because I like the food, but my order is missing something or wrong at least 25% of the time. And because I order and have it delivered, they cant just have the missing food delivered to me through the 3rd party delivery service. This time they finally refunded me for the whole order but other times they just write down that they owe me a replacement meal....which does no good when you order through the app since you cant redeem a written note on the managers desk.
I tried to place an order for delivery an hour and a half before the store closed and it told me my order was too large. It was only two sandwiches, a salad, one brownie and one cookie. Ok, fine. I set it to delivery the following day for lunch. And the delivery was on time. No complaints there. They forgot the cookie. I called the store and an employee asked if we wanted it delivered and I asked him just to refund it. He said that they would which NEVER happened. Its only a couple bucks. But it was my couple bucks for a product I never received. I shouldnt have to call repeatedly when I was told in the first call it would be resolved. Then to top it all off, the salad came with a hair in it. Disgusting. So, thank you, Panera. We will not return or recommending this location.
Ordered chicken tortellini at drive thru, asked what kind of cookies they have and the response I got was We have an entire bakery. Not really the answer I was looking for. Also, the girl at the window forgot to give me the bottled water that I ordered. The pasta was OK but the choc chip cookie was stale. Customer Service skills definitely need improvement!
Yesterday went thru drive thru w my mom. We told lady at drive thru three times we had 2 separate orders. At window the order taker must have stepped away another employee asked if we had 2 orders we confirmed yes. They did not split check up and all food in same bag. My sandwich barely had meat on it. I will never go to this location again. Very poor service
By far the worst Panera I have ever eaten at. The portions are small and they often dont even get the order correct. Seems like there is little quality control. Looks like highschoolers behind the line who could care less if they make your sandwich correctly. Its a joke. There is very little meat on a $10 sandwich. Literally 2 slices of meat. Subway has better sandwiches for less money. Im over it. Ive given them at least 5 tries to impress me. Ill eat across the street at McAllisters.
Went through drive thru service was good. The workers are always super nice and courteous. Seem to always get behind someone that does a big order in the drive thru and then I have to wait. Wish people with big orders would either go in or do rapid pick up or even do curbside pickup. Just my thoughts
This panera is useless. They’re always sold out of bagels. Monday morning at 8:27, out of bagels. Saturday afternoon at 1:13, out of bagels. Thursday morning at 10:19, out of bagels. It’s not just bagels though—the past two times I’ve tried to order salads, they’ve been out of lettuce/greens. I was SO excited when this location opened because it’s so close to my place, but it’s been nothing but a disappointment.
Brand new Panera. Excellent staff. Quality food. Had a great time the restaurant was very clean and well-managed. The new tables and chairs were very comfortable. There was a question about one of our drinks and they fixed our drink with no additional charge, they were very friendly and happy. Great experience, nice to see a new Panera on Harrison Avenue.
While the staff is generally nice, they cant make a frozen Carmel coffee if their life depended on it. Always tastes like foamy coffee water with zero flavor. They need to go train at the colerain location and learn how to make it properly. Im done trying the Harrison Avenue location, Ill go out of my way to visit other stores who get it right and consistent.
We stopped by for their grand opening. The place has a nice updated feel. One new feature they have is ordering kiosks as you first come in, or you can order at the counter like normal. At the kiosks once you place your order you then grab a pager and find a seat. When your order is ready you can go to the order window and get your food. There is also a drive up window. Overall there is the same healthy food and fast friendly service.
Terrible customer service. Called about an order that hadnt showed up 20 minutes after scheduled delivery time. I received the response that there could have been traffic and the delivery driver had multiple $50 orders ahead of ours. Something needs to be done with the tracking system to estimate better times for multiple deliveries. The manager eventually comped the meal but slammed the phone down. Probably will stay away from this location.
So I’ve been here several times and each time it’s been bad. First time I ordered a soup bread bowl only to get home and have a bread bowl with no soup. Next we dined in and waited fifteen minutes to get our food. Finally today we went through the drive-thru and waited and waited. We thought maybe they were closed. Just as we started to drive away Jeff greeted us so we had to pull back. He didn’t even know the menu and seemed perplexed when we ordered a bottle of black tea. Terrible customer service and unprofessional, untrained staff.
- AVOID THIS LOCATION - - IN NEED OF SERIOUS RETRAINING - - READ BEFORE GOING -Im not one to typically write reviews. Ive worked in food service and retail myself so I understand how stressful, underpaid, and degrading it can be. However, I have had far too many issues with this Panera with no response, help, or even a simple sorry. The first issue I had at this location is a bit nit-picky but it was a stepping stone for worse to come. Every single time I ordered food here that wasnt for the cafe I never had any plastic ware. Sure they would put napkins in the bags but never a spoon or fork in sight. Which is a little annoying seeing how on your receipt it will have a checklist of the things that are supposed to be in your bag with checkmarks next to each item saying yes, its in your bag. Secondly, every time I have done rapid pickup or delivery something is left out of the bag whether it be a side or a whole meal. Thats really annoying when you arent just ordering for yourself but others too. Panera isnt all that cheap either so when a whole meal is left out of your order its pretty much like flushing money down the toilet. Sure you could argue that I should check the food before I leave/the delivery person leaves but I shouldnt have to, thats apart of their jobs. The one time I did go back to get the item I ordered I was met with skepticism from the manager even though I provided them a receipt for the order and I wasnt given any sort of apology either. Thirdly, and this was the breaking point for me; I waited OVER an hour for home delivery. It was a small order and I waited for a solid 50 minutes before I called the store assuming they were maybe just super swamped or lost the ticket order. Mistakes happen, I understand. I called the store in a calm manner and was meant with the rudest voice on the other end. I sadly do not know the name of the employe but it sounded to be a female manager of some kind. She had told me that the order was on the way and just hung up. It wasnt until another 20 minutes did I receive my food. The delivery man that handed me the food didnt utter a word the whole time he was there and was legitamently smoking a cigarette. I was extremely frustrated with the situation so I shut the door and went inside. Upon opening the food everything was extremely cold and hard, sloppily put together, and the worst of all, it smelled like ash from a cigarette. Needless to say, the food went straight into the bin as it was really uneditable. Since the only real way to complain to the company is to call HR, I did. The HR lady was very nice and sympathetic and she said that the store manager would send me an email about the situation. He emailed me to ask about who I had spoken to at the store. I replied and said that I honestly didnt remember and then asked if there was any way I could be reimbursed for the order via the app. Its been weeks now and I never got a response back. Even if there wasnt a way to get reimbursed even just replying back and saying no would have felt better than not answering at all. I have absolutely had it with this location and do not plan on ever returning again. If youre hungry and looking for a Panera I strongly suggest, even though its out of the way, to go to the Colerain location. Ive had nothing but nice and pleasant interactions there and they know what theyre doing over there. If I could give this location less than one star I would.
This new design is horrible. 10 minute wait to even order inside, with only one guy in front of me who had a call in order! Maybe this place is set up better for drive thru ordering?? I ordered 10 muffins, to take somewhere, Im obvi not eating 10 muffins, and they were just put in a brown paper grocery bag with muffins just sitting on top of other muffins, no wax paper layer even like places do with donuts. I asked for a box, which they only had large sizes, and left when the staff person was taking too long preparing the box that was not even the right size, after I already let her know of the problem with not enough counter help. (Bottom and lid were flat, had to be formed!) Went to Regina Bakery then because my Panera purchase was unacceptable - and bought 9 muffins that were placed in a nice square bakery box. (Only chose Panera over Regina in the first place b/c it was last minute and wasnt sure the real bakery would hv enough muffins.) Recommend a real bakery over this place, with real service and ample staff completing AM in a hurry bakery orders. And I agree with others here, unless you like waiting in line, stick with the Glenway location. The problem is for sure a design problem than the fault of individual employees!!! They hv self order kiosks? Maybe that is why mgmt didnt hv enough people working the counter. 😞
This review isnt specific to this location, just the chain in general. Its criminal that they charge the prices they do for the amount of actual food you get. Spend $25 for 2 adults and they both leave hungry. The amount it chicken and tuna we received on our sandwiches made me laugh. $5.50 for a childs tomato soup.
Ordered a online delivery and the order was delivered to the wrong address. Called Panera and spoke to a manager named Michelle and she told me to contact door dash and Panera is not responsible or can’t help in any way. She could not provide a number for door dash for me to contact and told me to use google. Terrible customer service don’t understand how she was hired into a management role.
There was no coffee when I arrived at 9 am, had to ask if they were going to be brewing more. The employee went in the back and came out with more coffee. It was full of coffee grounds and was lukewarm. I didnt see any employees smiling. My bagel toasted ok, it was kind of tough and chewy, even though I asked for it to be toasted. The floor was sticky under my table. Might be a good place to grab a bagel through the drive thru......
The lady at the register seemed like she didn’t know anything about the menu and rang my order up wrong so the kitchen made it wrong. I was there during the lunch rush but everything still seemed to take longer than it should have. Not much seating inside either. I would find a different Panera to eat at.
Friendly clerk is my only compliment, the chicken noodle soup had a thin watery broth and had like 4 noodles and 3 carrot pieces in the whole bowl. Both of us had half sandwhich and soup with drinks and was like 26 bucks. Dont waste you time go to McAllistees. One more thing if you get a carry out and call your order ahead you cant use the drive thru, you have to park and go in which is not pleasant especially in bad weather
Terrible customer service right from the top, the GM Jimmy Jameson straight up lied to my wife and I on multiple occasions.. Borderline criminal activity by this GM. Took almost 4 hours for delivery, no one at store would answer the phone. He said he would cancel order for refund, yet that did not occur. Having to dispute change with CC company. Very condescending apology, will never be back to that location again as long as he is GM.
Went through the drive through ans ordered a pick 2- the green goddess Cobb salad and frontega chicken panini. The panini was good but was missing the onion and basil, and there was no green goddess salad dressing, or any other dressing on my salad. Not very happy with it
Most unprofessional one iv ever been to untrained staff and the manager lies! They said they where makeing my drink but they never made it and they messed up every ones order from when we arived to the time we left. We had to ask them twice for my drink then they said they would give me a cookie to make things up for there lies like i was a 5 year old.
I Got ice tea that was not chilled but warm in a machine that is supposed to chill but was not. Tea was made at 10:30 am on the sticker on the side tasted the tea tasted spoiled talked to the Asst. Mrg. She said it was just made I showed the sticker on the side of ALL 6 teas said was made at 10:30 am she then took the sticker off of the tea and offered tea from the drivethru it tasted worse been here over an hour and the spoiled tea out front from 10:30am still there at 6:30 pm all 3 of our party would just like a fresh beverage with the $50 worth of food we just bought. I called corporate and other locations states tea is to be changed after 4 hrs. Several flies all over in here as well. This is my 1st visit to this new store very unhappy and will not be back until issues are fixed.
Had to wait at the counter several minutes for an employee to appear. Finally a young girl appeared pushing a mop bucket, looked like she was cleaning up a mess in the kitchen. She proceeded to wait on, never changing the gloves she had been wearing while cleaning. She was wearing a mask, just wish she would have cleaned her hands.
Training is a struggle when opening a new location. Unfortunately they have yet to cover all the bases. Asked for my sandwich bread to be toasted. Unable to fulfillit the task. Ended with it being heated on the panini press. With the lettuce on it while being heated. My sandwich had nuts in it. If you have food allirrgas I would keep an eye on what they are doing. Ended up have my sandwich remade. Sent back again. Then on the third attempted, I just threw it in the trash.

2022-05-10Went through the drive through before work(730am), asked for a cinnamon crunch bagel toasted with PLAIN Creamcheese (she even confirmed with me that I wanted plain cream cheese at the drive through) I get to work and I was given chive and onion cream cheese? Who eats a cinnamon crunch bagel with chive and onion cream cheese!?!?

2022-04-02I absolutely love this location. The workers are always nice. My breakfast is always how I like it. They have a self-ordering station which I love. Sometimes I want a little more time looking at the menu. Great place.

2022-03-24Went through the drive thru on my lunch hour and ordered a Fuji Apple Chicken salad. Got back to work and found out theres NO chicken on the salad. Called the restaurant, told the guy who answered the phone what happened. He said hold on and Ive been waiting now for 24 minutes for someone to return to the line. This location has had consistently poor service and smaller portion sizes. Next time Ill drive farther and go to the Colerain location!

2022-06-02Not sure what’s going on at this location. Went through the drive thru today at 1230pm and was told to wait 10 minutes due to short staffing/busy… waited the 10 minutes to be told the drive thru was now closed and I had to come in if I wanted to order. Once inside I’m told they are out of fruit for their seasonal salads. What a waste of 25 minutes of my life. Get it together management.

2022-02-07Very disappointing. No bagels at 1pm. I settled for grilled cheese a lot smaller than expected though very good and excellent small bowl.of tomato soup. Companion got mac and cheese that was very small.portionNot worth the price.
