Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in other cities:
My wife and I were trying to figure out how we could commit to 10 weeks with everything else in our family schedule. I dont think we are alone with that thought. We are glad we did. Lots of takeaways from our sessions and very inspired to go and live the life God intends for me. The OLPH team put on a top notch program and the closing night was phenomenal. Father Dan delivered an amazing message-Thank you all for a rewarding Alpha experience!
I really enjoyed the fellowship at the beginning of each week and I loved listening to Nicky Gumble. I however, was hoping for something a little deeper. I thought the content was pretty basic. Not that I am well versed I was just hoping for something a little more. However, that said, the small group discussions were lively and our talble leader was great. I would recommend Alpha to everyone and would be willing to participate in the future.
The series All Things Catholic was most enjoyable...Father Dan is very knowledgeable in all areas of the religious history, of which, I found most informative and would love to hear more from him....Father Jims personal spiritual encounters (aka Miles) are so enjoyable....The personal testimonials that were shared were most inspirational....I believe we all have a story from our experiences in this journey called LIFE.AS a convert, the Catholic religion is an on going learning experience. AS for me, I would like to see more information and direction for the Rosary, and praying to the Blessed Mother in any upcoming New Series.5 thumbs up for the wonderful food, music, and all the hard work that was done by the OLPH staff.I am looking forward to Series Number 2, of All Things Catholic.Gods Blessings,Jeri Dobrovic

2022-04-18I just attended the Easter Vigil. Choir was great and more importantly, song filled the church. Father Joe is the new pastor and I’ve never heard a Catholic priest speak with such fire. I was raised in this church and love my current home church, but will seriously be driving the hour and a half to visit my family and attend Mass there more often.

2021-09-18All are welcome to this beautiful, friendly, holy church. The Mass is the highest form of prayer~ both a sacrament and a sacrifice. You will find a time and type of music to suit your personal preferences, just remember that Mass is not about me, not about you- it’s about Jesus. Daily/weekday Mass is beautiful and intimate and before Mass come pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and holy rosary.FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION— please— come sit quietly in the real, actual presence of Jesus. He is waiting for you. There are EXCELLENT Bible studies, men’s prayer groups, divorce support, grief support, Silver Streaks, RCIA (if you want to explore becoming Catholic join this!), Knights of Columbus, Walking with Purpose and more! ALL are welcome.

2021-03-30We attended 5pm Mass. Music magnifies scriptures but if you cannot understand the words it does not. I am sure the music ministry works hard. But the organ over powers the cantor, the cantor should not wear the mask and she needs to annunciate. A little attention to these things would allow the congregation to worship through the meaning of the words and music.

2017-04-30The talks by Fr. Dan were inspiring; well-prepared and presented as a shepherd would to his sheep. His love of Jesus Christ and his church are clear as crystal. I looked forward to the Tuesdays I could make and solely missed not being able to attend some; but I am thankful I can catch them on the website. The fellowship at my table was also a wonderful opportunity to meet new parishioners and share our faith, concerns and laughter. Please consider providing another opportunity for us to grow as a parish. Thank you!

2021-02-12Most caring church I have come in contact with. Helped my family years ago during crisis when on alternate agency would due to extended waiting lists or other red tape. Ms. Sue listened to my circumstance and jumped into action. I will be forever grateful to this church and St. Pius in Reynoldsburg for partnering to help my family during crisis.

2016-11-18Ive attended mass and a baptism here. For mass: The church is located in the main doors and then to the left of the lobby area. The Holy Water fountain is found inside. To the right is a cry room if you have small children. Plus, it has its own bathroom with a baby changing station inside said room! There are also an assortment of small toys and books to keep the small ones occupied while you attend mass. For the most part this is a dressier church. I did see a few jeans and nice tops, but most were in skirts and dress pants. Decent mass, priest wasnt preachy in the sermon, Id attend mass here again. For Baptism: The Priest was no nonsense ready to get started on time. He was nice and personable and explained what to do as we went. Stuck around for photos later and allowed photos during. He also answered any questions we had before and afterwards. God Parents were given information cards for proof of... God Parent-ism? So that was nice.

2017-05-08I thoroughly enjoyed the Tuesday night series and looked forward to it every week. Father Dan is very knowledgeable and extremely engaging, and I learned something new every week about our faith. It felt like an extension of Sunday mass, which I found helpful in staying committed to the Lord. The education, the comradery with fellow parishioners (and making new friends), and the worship that took place each Tuesday all have helped me have a better relationship with Christ. I look forward to the other events our parish will offer!

2019-10-17The church is nice but the school isn’t. They want their students to succeed and do well but how are we supposed to do that when students are being bullied and treated unfairly? Charged me $85 for a book that someone else lost, I was picked on all the time, kids laughed during a funeral, and threw things around the classroom. Oh and the most important thing! Someone found out I was on a grant and that I didn’t pay all my tuition. A grant pays some of the tuition and the family pays the rest. So how did someone find out I was on a grant? That’s for the principal to decide. I would never recommend the school. If you struggle with money do not come here. You’ll be made fun of for not having enough money and so many other things. All they wanted was money. You’d be better off doing online school or going to a public school. Don’t waste your time trying to get into this school. It’s pathetic.

2017-04-29The very first time I attended Mass at Our Lady, Fr. Dan was the Celebrant, and I came away thinking, Wow, this is what I have been looking for in a Parish. Fr. Dan is, indeed, a teacher - in both his sermons and this series, he draws you in with his humor, and his humility, so that you can relate to what he saying within your own parameters. This was born out in the discussions within our group, and the bonds of friendship we developed. I look forward to the next series!
