We placed online order. the online program was not operational, and pizza was not made.manager apologized and bought me a beer while they made my pizza 🍕!!always very good pizza and world class client satisfaction!!will continue to order from OLD SCHOOL PIZZA
Kudos to Old School. They had a rough night. Online ordering wasnt working. They were able to fix our quickly despite the technology issue. Thanks for a great pizza!
Cant recommend - disappointed with order. We ordered a medium taco pizza and wings last weekend. Medium pizza is listed as a 14 on the website, pizza we received was less than 12. Smelled terrible, tasted worse. Taco pizza has way too much sauce and seasoning - be prepared! Wings werent anything special - about what you would get from little Caesars.EDIT - Reply to owner:I did send an email via your website under the contact us page, along with some recommendations that I felt would make the pizzas and wings better. Your website does list a size - see attached clip from your website that shows the size, in inches, next to the small, medium, and large description. I understand slight variances but this is not a slight variance.
The pepperoni they use on the pizza is really good. Service was fast and friendly. The tables are nicely spaced and they really made the space look nice.
Pizza was the best I have had in a very long time. This is the kind of pizza I love! The wings were amazing! They definitely have my fiancé and I business when we want pizza from now on! Also the bad reviews given here are ridiculous. Those things couldve easily have been taken care of by the people complaining. LOVE THE PIZZA!

We picked up pizza and an appetizer to eat at Railroad Brewing.We chose the Butter Pizza and Fried Pepperoni. Both were delicious.Recommend them.
Wings were fantastic! Will be back for a very friendly atmosphere and to try more from what looks like a fantastic menu! Service was great.
We live about 40 min from here in a town that has mostly chain pizza options, & only 3 that are dine in. This place is great & so worth the drive. We had great service & the pizza was amazing. The texture of the crust was perfect & was covered in items (veggie lovers, highly recommend), as well as the largest pepperoni youve ever seen. I didnt love the pepperoni balls on the app menu. Mine had a weird burnt taste on the inside but the other people in our party disagreed & loved them. Its in a cute area with other small businesses, too. We cant wait to go back.
Food and service were good. Only thing we would have liked better, is regular pepperoni on the pizza, as the sandwich pepperoni burns on the edges. GPS location is off. It is catty-corner to the Mexican Restaurant.
The place was packed when I picked up food, so maybe my experience is an exception to the norm, but I was thoroughly UNimpressed by the food.We got a small bacon cheeseburger pizza - this was actually pretty good. Four stars good, which I consider a very strong rating.We ordered the classic butter cheese pizza, which turned out to not be pizza, but just cheese melted on buttered crust. It would have been a great appetizer, but it was the first thing in the pizza section, so we assumed it was a butter-crust cheese pizza. If it wasnt in the pizza section and it was clear what we were ordering, this could have been a good experience...but thats not what happened. EDIT: Since the owner asked, when you order on doordash and click on the pizza category, the classic butter cheese is the lfiest item listed under pizza. I have attached a photo.We got two PB chocolate banana shakes that were mostly milk - they didnt melt, because they were handed to me as soon as they finished them. The shakes were so bad we threw them out. I dont know if the person making them was new, but they were just terrible.We got an order of wings that hardly had any sauce on them. Every wing was mostly dry - just another disappointing item, which is too bad because the sauce tasted great. If there had been enough to cover the wings, this would have been a good dish.Overall there is a lot of potential, but everything was poorly advertised and/or executed and I just cannot recommend you eat here.
Great antipasto salad and dressing was great, strange no cheese in the salad though. The service was excellent and and food came quickly.
Best pizza within 100 miles. Staff is on-point. Cant go wrong at Old School. Oh, and the wings are tight, too...
Came in the other day, tried the BBQ pizza. Tasted great, I really enjoyed it. She got the Caesar salad, and noted how fresh the greens were.
Deccent crust and light sauce. But there’s a bitter sharp cheese that overpowers it. I love sharp cheese like Bleu but this is really strong and not a good fit for pizza. Cool name and optics but bad pizza. Great Italian grinder sandwich, though.
I wanted to love their pizza, I really did. I even tried it twice! I’m a huge fan of Parker’s and want to support my local business. I tried the butter pizza at first and then I built my own with only cheese with red sauce. I just don’t care for the taste of the pizza crust, salty and dry, and the cheese has an overpowering taste. On the positive side, the staff are so nice and seem so amazing! They have been busy every time I’m over at the plaza. Next time I’ll try something else, the pizza just isn’t for me.
I have to agree with London James and share his exact sentiment. Crust is dry and too salty and the cheese does have an odd taste that bleeds into the sauce. The atmosphere and people were great though! We are moving to Avon Lake and will try it again! Happy to hear it is a newer restaurant and they are open to constructive criticism. Small businesses like this need local support now more than ever!
This was my second try. First try we picked up our pizza. The taste was off crust was dry. We decided to try one more time figuring dining in the quality would be better. The pizza was over cooked and did not have much flavor. Our server was great no problems there, only thing that did turn me off was the congregation of workers carrying on up front some with no masks in the back. Spent 50.00 dollars with a tip walked out feeling extremely disappointed and robbed, not worth the cost at all. Would not recommend or try again.
First time ordering (pepperoni pizza, cheesy bread and BBQ wings). Good flavor, loved the salty, crispy crust. Loved the cheesy bread. I thought the wings were okay but my husband loved them. The pepperoni slices were huge and the flavor of them was kinda meh. Overall, we will order again!
A very welcoming environment for a casual date! It’s always cool to see the pizzas being prepared from the dining room. Menu was very cool. Pizza was legit! Hostess and server couldn’t have been friendlier 😃. And the owner thanked us for coming on our way out. Old School will be my first choice next time I’m near Avon Lake
New to me, and well worth the time! The staff cares about you and the quality of the meal. They have daily specials, so check them out.

Amazing! The best ingredients for sure! We’ve been missing a fantastic and truly homemade pizza place in town and this IS the place to go! I LOVE the cheese all the way to the crust and you cannot beat the taste! Highly, highly recommend!
We are normal Parker’s patrons and today was our first time here. I have to say both of our meals were very good. I had pizza and wings. Both were very good. We will definitely be back and make this our Sunday funday!
Decent pizza ! I guess it was my mistake but when we ordered fried pepperoni I was thinking it was like fried pickles and breaded so was a bit disappointed about that . Our waitress was very upbeat ( don’t remember name ) . Will go again im sure !

Nice place, reminds me of Pizza Hut back in the late 70s and 80s, when it was a sit down place and had good food! Old School has delicious pizza that comes to your table on a pedestal tray, just like the good old days! Cant wait to go back.
First time ordering tonight and we loved every bite! We got the Veggie Lovers, the butter cheese pizza and a pepperoni jalapeno pizza, all were delicious! To the reviewers complaining about the cheese, maybe they are just used to Kraft. Old School Pizza is our new favorite!
Good pizza, need to try wings. Not enough beer, they ran out of 3 different kegs while we were there. Trivia on Tuesday with Jake Durr is great.
Food was ok. We had 6 different things and only one was something we really enjoyed. Neither of us are picky eaters. The Buffalo wings where fantastic. Service was somewhat slower but very friendly great music and nice layout. I’m sure we will be back at some point to try other things.
We had been in a rut with pizza. Same old, same old. Not much cheese, very little toppings. Then we tried Old School Pizza.....wow! There was lots of cheese on our pizza and p-l-e-n-t-y of toppings! What a difference! Tasty crust, sauce, cheese and toppings. A little pricier than some but well worth it for us.
I was disappointed in my pizza, Two slices of my HawIan Pizza only had sauce and toppings on the last 2 inches of the slices, leaving a big crust.!!! For the price I thought the quality of putting it together would be better. The pizza either had too much in some areas that made it soggy or nothing! I also was disappointed that on pick up I had to wait in line in the restaurant. I did not want to be exposed to people with out masks eating in the restaurant, but it was my only choice since there were 2 others picking up ahead of me. I was particularly concerned at a guest eating their dinner coughing with every bite! I almost left and didn’t pick the pizza up. Fortunately the line moved quickly! Curbside pick up would be appreciated. I will be back because I get your new, just need to work on it a bit!

I like to give local places a second try if it’s not great. But tonight was disappointment #2 and we likely won’t be back.Last time, salad tasted buggy, spoiled. It was wilted and wet. Inedible, has to toss the whole thing.Tonight, the wings are dry, the garlic Parmesan is just weird and creamy; doesn’t feel like a wing sauce.Pizza is in the oven now. Couldn’t even pick up a piece without it falling apart - it was completely undercooked.Ordering carryout was quick, though. 15 mins on a Saturday night at 8.
The staff/team worked well together and was on point.. The food was perfect!! Will be back again for sure....
I really cannot say enough great things about this place. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, the AMAZING mudslides 😋. The onlynegative are the hours. Closing at 9 on Friday nights is brutal. Old School Pizza has become a Friday evening staple.
Took a minute to call in an order because phone line was busy. Buffalo chicken pizza was great. Also ordered a deluxe pizza as well and it was a bit soggy by the time I brought it home (other than that it tasted pretty good). Nice addition to Avon lake.
The side salad we had was excellent, the pizza was 7 out of 10 I think it needs a little more sauce. The service was also excellent

Tried the deluxe pizza and wings, barbecue and garlic parmesan. Pizza was delicious, huge slices of pepperoni. Bbq sauce on the wings was carmelized with a smoky flavor, very good. Only criticism would be the wings were cooked just past juicy and tender, starting to dry out and the pizza stuck to the cardboard liner underneath it due to the moisture. Will be trying this out again.
Was very excited to try this new pizza shop today, especially since Ive seen all the good reviews. I was let down as soon as I tried it. Doughy in the middle of the pizza and my sausage wasnt cooked all they way, still very raw. Highly disappointed. 👎👎👎
When you walk in to pick up your pizza, because it’s the best nearby... only to find two of the three cooks are leaning across the pick-up counter & AGAIN see one with his black mask pulled down partway talking with the other (in a green Mickey’s T-shirt) wearing no mask at all. Got to say this is the second time we’ve seen this by those cooking up the pie, and now it is the last. Ok,.the cashiers were complying but c’mon Old School, experiencing that lack of consideration during our Covid era is unacceptable and rude.
Not subpar but superb! Went in this evening to get some takeout, had a drink at the bar while I waited, great service. Pizza & wings were amazing! Nice addition to Avon lake, definitely will be back!

Awesome cheeseburger pizza, just a little confusing on what door to enter. Luckily I found the correct one because I hear rumors the lions get you if you choose the wrong door.I would recommend anyone to give this small business a try!

2022-05-03Nice little place with that old school pizzeria feel. Staff was super nice as well as a guy wandering around giving suggestions who I assume was the owner or manager.The taco pizza wasnt that impressive but the BBQ Chicken was quite good. Coming from Chicago I have certain preferences for my own pizza, but for something local, everyone in our group was very happy with the place.We all agreed wed return in the future, just because the people there were so nice and the owner (running outside to stop us on our way to the car to see if we liked his suggestions) seemed so passionate and committed to providing great service. Thanks for everything.

2022-01-25Not bad. The cheese and sauce were great. The box was a little bit for the pizza I ordered, making me think that the pizza would be a little bigger. The crust was a little over baked. Felt “cracker-like” and was pretty crunchy. Pepperoni was nice and crisp.

2022-03-15Came here for lunch on a Su day with a few family members. Had really been wanting to go to a sit down pizza joint. Very clean and fun atmosphere. Modern, and a little quirky. We ordered a BBQ chicken and a deluxe pizza, both of which were absolutely delicious. The crust in my opinion is just right, not too thin or thick and very light and airy. The mozzarella/ provolone blend was just the right amount with a nice pull. All other toppings were excellent. Would definitely recommend, one of our favorite new pizza places.

2021-12-20I just had your pizza tonight and I loved it! I had the veggie pizza and the antipasto. I moved to Ohio from NJ and I’m surprised at how many places use other cheeses besides mozzarella. I came across your place and wanted to try it because you use mozzarella for your pizzas. Your pizza smelled intoxicating, so yummy and all the veggies on the pizza were insanely delicious. I loved it! The antipasto was great too and you put artichokes which I love! I will definitely be coming back! I’d rather support local businesses rather than chains, that’s my personal preference. We had take out and would definitely love to sit in because the pizzeria had a nice, homey feel and very comfortable… not to mention a fun setting. So happy to have found my go to pizzeria!!! Thank you!

2022-03-03We were in the area for a tournament and had an unexpected delay between games. One of the moms called and explained the situation. Thankfully the were able to adjust and find room for our group of 20 some. Were 10 minutes away but they were ready for us. They fast, efficient and friendly. The girls on the team even had little fun taking pictures with the staff. To top it off the food was fantastic.

2022-05-26Very nice place. Very Clean and Welcoming. Staff is great. Had the Pierogi and Taco Pizza. Just wasn’t good. Toppings are sparse and some of the slices had slim to no toppings. For the prices here- buying a pizza just isn’t worth it.

2022-03-25One of the best, if not THE best pizzas Ive had in at least a decade!! Great crust, toppings, sauce and cheese. I couldnt have made a better pizza myself. And for the price, you cant beat it. I will definitely be go back on all of my cheat days lol. Get the deluxe with extra cheese, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!

2021-01-03Definitely check this place out. The cesar salad is so good and topped with a sardine. The butter pizza is out of this world. The pepperoni slices are HUGE. Theres so much more of the menu to explore, so well definitely be back!
