The staff was so friendly. It was very busy and lots going on. There were a few things that went wrong (due to normal restaurant complications) and the staff handled everything so well. It made me happy to see how the staff interacted with each customer. The food was also great and it was delivered to the table hot and fresh!
This ones a no-brainer....outstanding BBQ, easy to order and the service team is great. Oh and sauces??? Off the charts good!! This place is a must visit in Canton

Its fast food, but its really, really good bbq. The pulled pork was incredible. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, and pretty perfect. My son loved his brisket and made happy food noises over the mashed potatoes. We both thought the cornbread rocked. Portion sizes were great for the price.
Not surprised the place was empty. Used to be my go-to place for ribs when in Canton. The worst Ive ever had. Hard and dry. Clearly from at least two days prior.
Unbelievable service and amazing food! Had an open house at work, and needed to cater the event. Old Carolina I Shanda down the best!!!! Thank you to the Manager and the staff for VIP service! The family meal/feasts are the way to go if youre bringing the family! So much food and so yummy at an awesome price! Definitely a family favorite for us. Travels well for to go/delivery as well!

Avoid this location!! Stopped in on 11/19 for what was supposed to be a quick dinner and it took 10 min to even have someone take our order (no one in line in front of us) and then took FORTY FIVE MINUTES for our 2 meals to come out. It should never take an hour from walking in to eating at a place like this.
Best barbecue around!! It definitely rates up there with the top of big cities like Chicago!!Update 3/2022, hasnt been as good recently. Not sure whats up, but I no longer rate it the best.
Awful experience. My wife ordered our food yesterday online and paid to have the order ready for 1:30pm. We arrived to find many people waiting for advance orders, one guy arrived 45 minutes before we did. After watching the staff fill orders to go that were walking in after an already long wait I decided to speak up and inform the staff that they should start working on previous orders instead of only filling walk- in orders. After another half hour wait we finally received our food prior to the gentleman that had been there before ourselves. This place had absolutely no leadership available and the poor young manager could only offer apologies for over an hour wait that was placed over 24 hours prior.
Super dried out ribs, the wings were dry as well. The cornbread was basic jiffy mix cornbread at best. I paid $24.00 for 4 rib bones, 3 wing dings, mash potatoes and green beans. Not worth the money at all!
Was very nasty and all sauces were empty definetly not recommended for all the money u pay and very small amount of pulled chicken and pulled pork and lots of fat

Twice this week I Have dined and Take out dinners! Chicken one day and Ribs the next Day! The atmosphere is calm and the smiles are contagious! Now the food is awesome! Their Bake beans is delicious and tasty, their vinegar Cole slaw is my favorite (they have creamy too! I like both! The Ribs are fall off the bone Awesome and Old Carolina, my opinion has the best ribs around and Ive tried many!! See you Sunday for a couple of slabs for a friend! I want to get them hooked on OLD CAROLYNS BBQ.
I wish we had one of these about two hours south in my town. The staff was friendly and always had a smile. The food was excellent. I had a large pork plate with the creamy coleslaw. I also had a couple of the ribs off of my dads plate. It was all good. I had the spicy BBQ sauce and the sweet as well. Both were excellent. Only complaint is that they have Pepsi on the fountain. Will be back next time I am up that way.
Old Carolina Barbecue in Canton, Ohio should never be mistaken for fast food barbecue. True, their service is prompt and efficient, and the dining room is set up for personal dining or small parties, but the food they serve is hot, fresh, delicious, and worthy of being considered catering quality! The four sauces offered add that much more variety to already outstanding menu choices. Be sure to try each of them with your meal and every bite will taste like homemade heaven. Factor in friendly staff, and you would think youre dining in the South!
Food is excellent. The bowls are out of this world good. The calabash shrimp is available for a limited time and is also very good! Staff is very friendly and we very knowledgeable of the menu items!
Poor service!! Placed an order online, and arrived at the time that OC designated. Had to wait another 15 minutes for the order because they hadnt started preparing one of the food items. No apology from OC. Poor service!
Love the ribs, the Brisket is good, I should have gotten it sliced not chopped, Mac and cheese just ok. Hush puppies were good. Really liked the original sauce
Really delicious BBQ and very friendly staff. This was our first visit, we will definitely be back! All of the BBQ sauces were great although I have to pick original gold and Piedmont no5 as my favorites. I wish they served polish dogs but the pulled pork was good and the sides were really yummy.
We hired them for our wedding and the food was absolutely amazing! Reasonably priced, excellent service, professional, and even added sit down service at no extra charge because of Covid. Highly recommend!!
BBQ greatness! We love their pulled pork especially since each person can sauce their own portion. I love mixing Piedmont with a few drops of spicy beaver. Their corn muffins are delicious with their honey butter with vanilla. Very generous with their fries but we thought they had too much pepper on them. Over all our favorite BBQ joint.
I had an order delivered from DoorDash, no problem with delivery, however I spent $31 plus.This is my second order from you, the first was great that’s why I ordered again.The ribs were burnt and very little sauce!The pulled pork was dry with no sauce!The French fries were soaked in grease!The coleslaw had a very bitter taste!The only items that were acceptable were the corn bread.I would not have even given it a one star if I could!It’s very disturbing to pay $32.00 and hadTo throw it away!!!I will not be dining from your establishment any longer and I caution others to do the same!!!
Very nice portion sizes on the combo meals. The brisket sandwich was quite small. Other than that, everything tasted great!
Never disappoints. I had the new taco platter, which was tasty not spicy with a soft taco of all three meats. Not quite as much meat as shown in the picture, but very good.
BBQ is a love in my family. The food here is great. You get a decent sized portion for a reasonable price. Their sauce is awesome and available for purchase by the bottle. For a little extra suck, try moving the classic and screaming beaver sauces together. Small, quiet, and friendly. Order your food at the counter and the staff will bring it to your table. You may not see many trashcans around, but thats because the staff will take care of that for you.
Justin took great care of me. I did an online order that didnt go through due to issues with the App. Customer service and food were great! The App needs a little work.
Extremely nice staff. I was brought the wrong meal and they brought out the correct one very quickly along with letting me keep the incorrect one. The sauces available offer a great variety for everyone and the dessert is great too. Try the vinegar coleslaw. Its a good change from the mayonnaise version, which the also have. There are daily specials and also a rewards program join if this is a place you frequent often.
Ordered online here last night for dinner. Got there and they showed everything and that was great to make sure I had everything I ordered. I get home and everything was cold like it had been sitting out all day. Hush puppies were mushy and the only thing hot was my sandwich. I usually love this place but I’m not sure I’ll be back for a while.
First time at this place. I will be going back and spreading the word to our company. The first thing you notice is the all to wonderful smell of the smoker as you approach. The staff was very friendly. The food was pretty darn good with a very decent selection of warm (thats right) warmed BBQ sauces. There were a few of us here that night and we all agreed. This place just very well may be one of the best in that area.
Its a shame that I had to even put one star on this review. If it were my choice I would give it zero stars. I have been eating Old Carolina Barbecue since they opened... always thought it was fantastic. Although, I havent been in a few years, my fiance and I decided we wanted to have them cater our wedding, but first we wanted to go sample the things we were planning on serving our guests. Turns out, I wouldnt have fed that food to my dog, let alone my wedding guests. The pulled pork and the turkey were both dry and hard, as if theyd just been sitting under a heat lamp for eight hours. The sauces have all changed and either taste like straight celery salt (the gold) or straight chili powder. The only thing decent were the sides. For a BBQ company, who SPECIALIZES in BBQ, your food should not have been this terrible. I am extremely disappointed and will not be having them cater my wedding, nor will I ever eat there again. It amazes me that this place is even still open.
I love old Carolina! The food is usually really good, you have to watch sometimes because there can be fatty pieces in the pulled pork, but its usually really great. Im a fan of the original sauce I think its really good. I also really love their corn bread there I think its got a great taste and its not too dry.
I accidentally ordered the wrong size pan of pulled pork with my Christmas order. The very friendly manager took care of it on the spot. He has always been very helpful on big orders. With the hectic season it was a relief to have been taken care in such a professional manner. Will be back often!
I ordered two fish and shrimp dinners with baked beans and coleslaw. The two pieces of fish was extremely small. The fish and shrimp was too salty to eat. The baked beans liquidy, the tartar sauce didnt taste like any tartar sauce I ever tasted. The coleslaw wasnt good either. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have ordered before and the food was good. After tasting the food I threw it in the garbage. Except for the hush puppies the food was a complete waste of money.
Everyone loved their meals. Loved the bowl with brisket, tasted great cold the next day too.
Went there today for take out. Food is ok. Luv the string onions rings though. The coleslaw, sweet potatoes, and mac n cheese left us with odd tastes in our mouth. The green beans had an even odder taste, smh. The cornbread was sort of ok. Oh btw, make sure you check your order b4 leaving. They gave us different meat than what we ordered and the desserts werent in bag. They were nice people. Overall Id probably not return until the holidays are done. Maybe it was a bad day. I will update on my return, ordering the same thing. Hopefully the meats wont be as dry.
Good place to stop for barbecue. Nice mix of offerings when it comes to combination plates. Sides like the baked beans and creamy cole slaw are definitely the best when compared to competition. Staff is always friendly
Excellent food and great service. I ordered through GrubHub and there were some issues with delays on GrubHubs side, but Old Carolina remade our food so it was fresh! The food was amazingly good. We ordered ribs, pulled chicken sandwich, fries, and the cornbread is awesome! Cant say enough great things about this restaurant.
Food was hot and tasty as always. Did pickup, wait staff professional and friendly. Social distancing protocol and masking are in place and I was very comfortable.
It was mothers day even though I order 2 days ahead of time I had to wait for awhile but kudos to the staff working trying to wait on people and fill orders they did a great job and the food was out standing!
I am so disappointed. I was thinking about your ribs all day. I bought a slab for $20.99. The cornbread and cinnamon butter was awesome. Whomever cooked the rib today it was super tough. I have never known your ribs to be this way. I had to find something else to eat.
Ordered the family feast for 4. Included two meats and two sides. We choose the brisket and the pulled pork. The brisket was rough, chewed like leather. The pulled pork was better, but very dry. Sides were okay, Mac and cheese was not far removed from Velveeta and the baaked beans were somewhat bland. The highlight of the order was the corn bread. It was very good. We have eaten there before, cant say I will do it in the future. Very disappointing
The BBQ on the meat was good. The Ribs are fantastic. Its very seldom that you find a BBQ place that specializes in the type of BBQ thats from another state and it actually tastes good but this one actually pulled it off. They have a BBQ bar next to the condiments which I think is a good touch. However their specialty BBQ sauces were just not for me. The side dishes I feel could have a little more TLC on them. It appears that in their quest to make the BBQ meats great they forgot that a good entree should be complimented with good sides.
Great food... but they were almost out of chicken breast... here again, if theyd offered something at a discount because they were running out of a menu item I wanted and they should have.... just a Sorry. Then the wings I ordered to compensate for their shortage she missed...I had to go back up and ask for them again --> and pay for them...again Sorry. //// Something should have been compt or given for free. However, their food is always very good. For the aforementioned reasons this is a 4 not a 5 star rating.
Brooke was wonderful to work with throughout the whole wedding planning process. She was always prompt in responding to questions and emails leading up to the big day. When the mother of the groom and I did a tasting at one of their events we knew that is was the right vendor to handle our menu for our wedding day! We taste tested everything on the catering menu and the staff gave us plenty of time to try all of our options before setting with us to answer questions, unlike other catering companies we did tastings with. The staff were very understanding of our need to have a vegetarian option and our concern that the pasta we choose may be a little dry if it sets out for a long period of time during the summer days. The staff added notes to exclude the bacon in the green beans and to add extra oil base to the pasta, and those notes were followed as both were exactly as requested the day of the wedding. As the wedding day approached Brooke touched base with me to verify all the details. The vendor also handled setting up the appetizers and did a wonderful job of keeping them stocked. I highly recommend their catering services to anyone looking for an amazing vendor, while still staying within a wedding budget!
Old Carolina makes a great pulled pork sandwich. Their fries are thin and tasty in a very generous portion. Mac and cheese-really good! Want variety? Get the mini sliders to taste two or three different choices. Brisket and chicken are definitely worth trying.
I love old Carolina BBQ. They catered my wedding 7 years ago, and this visit was in celebration of my seventh anniversary. We bought our kids and they loved the French fries, while we for the enjoy the pulled pork and brisket.
Everything is a bit weird at the moment with this whole Covid sitch, so inside seating is reeeeealy sparse. Good thing they have a big outdoor patio to enjoy your pulled pork sandwich under an umbrella. I love the serve yourself sauce bar where I tried a bit of each flavor.
This is one of my favorite places to eat. Not a huge selection, but what they have is all delicious. Specializing in smoked meats; mostly pork, but also turkey.The smoked turkey, and all side-dishes are amazing. I typically get pulled pork and get myself some tangy and spicy sauce and mix them and drown my pulled pork. Delicious.The baked beans are amazing. It all is.I like everything on the menu!
They have excellent slow-cooked pork, chicken, beef briscuit and sides that keep you coming back. The sweet tea is amazing and Im never disappointed when I come here for a meal.
I enjoy a BBQ place when I can smell the meat smoking before I even get to the door. Then when you get the ribs and you can see the smoke ring you know it isnt flavored with liquid smoke. Best BBQ that I have found in thr Canton area, for now, my search will continue. I however will return because the ribs were that good
Me and my aunt both ordered the same thing we each got a bowl and banana pudding. Well next thing we know we had food poisoning. I know for a fact it was the banana pudding cause my husband had some of the bowl and he was fine. I called to let them know and the general manager was supposed to call but never did.
Great food and service. Got the pulled pork sandwich with a side salad. It was a business meeting and my clients picked where they wanted to go for lunch. I recommend as a nice casual place to go. Nothing fancy, but nice.
Fantastic service and even better food! The manager, John, was friendly and helpful in explaining menu options and suggesting the best sellers. This has been a top choice for me for carryout for more than a year, but I will certainly be dining in more often after a such great experience!
The food is smoked to perfection and delicious. Service was friendly and the restaurant was quiet. Its brightly lit, so maybe not a great place for a date unless youre looking for food and not ambiance. Wait times are minimal and since its not on theaon street you can often get in here quickly when other restaurants nearby have an hour wait
We were visiting from out of town. Great tasting barbeque and a good selection of sauces. Good Service. Good place for family dining or takeout. The barbeque sauces are a little too heavy on the celery seed flavor for my taste. The Screamin Beaver sauce is not for the faint of heart. Weve been back a couple of times. Like it.
The pulled pork is great and the chicken is too. They have really good sides and natural cut fries. I am not a big fan of their selection of bbq sauces though. My wife brings her. own in since she doesnt like the selection either. Shhhh!!
Uber eats delivered this for my family and I and forgot the bbq sauce. First time ever tying the place, without any sauce honestly the meat is just flavorless. Worst first experience because of this. Will never order from this place again.
MEAT NIRVANA. Holy lord, do they do BBQ well. Locally owned & growing fast. Great food and great business model. Family packages, catering available at fair prices. Hush puppies are too dry but literally everything else makes up for that.
This place has amazing ribs and juicy pork. I really like and recommend the food here. There are other BBQ places around, but I really think this place is worth a try. The location is not so great since its kind of hidden, but its well worth the search.

The Belden Village store is great . We had a bad experience at the Alliance location. Ribs are awesome. I had pull pork because I had a tooth pulled. I like the sweet and Smokey sauce.
Great visit. Friendly staff, quick service. The pulled pork was a perfect mix of tender with just a little crispness at the ends. I love the smokehouse wings.

Very good Carolina style BBQ ribs, brisket, chicken, pulled pork, and seasonally they have turkey. Catering (pick up, delivery, or full service) Cheerwine, Q Rewards program, Online ordering, and cozy/ casual dine in eating for groups, families or individuals/couples. Very friendly staff, great BBQ and sides, and clean stores. Fav: pulled pork! Lean and prepared moist but not soggy.

I thought I would go here over the Texas road house around the corner. Bad decision. Best part of the meal was the cornbread, not good for a BBQ place. Worlds best beans were undercooked, Mac and cheese was flavorless just like the ribs and brisket. I travel a lot for business, been to Carolina, St Louis, Texas, Kansas city - this is just terrible. Even the sauce was bad, one was edible, the other three just didnt compliment the meat. Next time Im in town Ill check out angry BBQ around the corner and hope for better results. Not sure how this place has so many stars unless the regular patrons have no idea what BBQ is supposed to taste like.

Boy are we lucky to have this place start in Massillon. Real deal BBQ. The Callabash seafood specials are fantastic during Lent and I look forward to it every year, and Im not even Catholic. The pulled pork sandwiches are huge and the sides are all homemade. Great brisket, chicken, and ribs (pull off the bone tender). Prices very reasonable with dine in or carry out.

Best BBQ in the area for the price. I like Old Carolina slightly better than Mission because of the sauces. I got the large sampler with my GF so we could split and try everything.
The food was very good. I had the ultimate it had ribs, pulled chicken and pork brisket and grilled chicken wings. Chicken wings were a tad bit tough to my liking. Everything else was very good.
Had to wait over an hour and a half for my order I called in for a timed order for 3pm. When asking for a discount I was told to go home and smile instead of managment handling the discount. Highly Unprofessional.
Had the ribs and thought they were very good. The bbq beans had a nice flavor. They have a nice selection of sauces to choose from. The employees were especially friendly and helpful.
The ribs were good. But I was really disappointed that I had to wait over 45 minutes after I ordered the ribs to get them. I understand that there was a sale going on but 45 minutes was too long to wait.
Yum. Was on town on business and a coworker suggested this place for dinner. Decent prices, good food, portions are well sized. Next time when I am in town I would not say no to stopping here again.

I give the OCBC a four star because I lived in Kansas City for five years and BBQ does not get any better than the original Jack Stack and LCs. For Canton, this is not too bad. Id like to say the ribs are consistent but I occasionally get some that dont fall from the bone. Brisket, and pulled pork are always good. Again, not bad for Canton, Ohio.
Worst service out of all places in Belden Village. Every single time I go it is terrible service! The food taste good but you need to work on training employees.

Needs MORE seasoning on the ribs! Chicken wings are good depending on who is working to care :) Fiance likes their beans, again, more seasoning needed!:)
Great food and customer service
First time here, got the beef brisket sandwich. It was ok, some fatty parts and not a fan of the sauce. Im from TX so it might not be my style. The pork here is good from what my friend have said.

I love this place. The tarheel dogs are stellar. However I must confess that the kids meal was served without a toy. I am no lawyer, but I am 100% certain that its illegal to sell a kids meal without a toy.
Stopped in for a late lunch, order wings and 2 meat platter (pulled pork/brisket w/baked beans and mashed potatoes). Wing werent good, bean were lukewarm, potatoes were cold, portion sizes for the meat was paltry & the Hot BBQ was un-edible.

The brisket was tough and dry.I ordered a brisket sandwich that was supposed to come with a side and cornbread and they charged me for the side it was $30 for two brisket sandwiches with a drink.

I have eaten here for many years, and now there is a lot of competition in this type eatery, however Carolina keeps on rising above the competition. We will continue using Carolina B B Q for they are the best!
A taste of NC in Ohio. BBQ was great, slaw was good but not quite Lexington style. Dont forget to have a Cheerwine for the authentic experience

Good flavor of the pulled pork, but we ate in and the meat was not hot, very very expensive for what you get and the corn bread muffin is more of a muffin top.

2022-03-12Horrible horrible horrible!!! Food was cold and awful. For $50 I would expect better. Portions were small. Brisket didnt have a smoke ring…which you should expect if it where a “smoked brisket” mac n cheese just horrendous watery and awful. Boxed mac n cheese taste better. And that is saying something. Stay away!!!Also the utensils that you are supposed to eat off of are stored near the pop machine in a bin with the handles facing down!! Just gross!!

2022-06-27Scheduled ahead catering and it wasn’t ready for 20 minutes after my pickup time. Staff didn’t care. After I got home I realized they also made the wrong food. Definitely won’t use this catering service again.

2022-07-07The food at this place was horrendous and that’s an understatement. We ordered food online and went to pick it up. Discovered when we got there they had almost nothing we ordered. No brisket, no pork, no mashed potatoes. As a bbq place I don’t understand how you can be a bbq place and not have large bbq items. They decided to substitute all the food they couldn’t give us with ribs that were tough and dry. Practically inedible. Manager didn’t even come out to try and make the situation right. Spent $80 on food that everyone in a family of 6 agreed wasn’t worth the price for the small portions and inedible food with no flavor. Horrible service to match their horrible food. Will not be getting food from here again.

2022-07-15I usually thoroughly enjoy the meals here but this time was disappointing. The fries looked and tasted like they were prepared, nobody ordered them so they were fried again for my order.

2019-08-30Great place! Clean, nice family atmosphere with great food! Fries were amazing and classic pulled pork sandwich was yummy. Prices normal if not on the lower side. Wasnt busy when I was there.

2022-07-07Ribs was the worst I have had. Dry, tough and no sauce. Didnt have anything we ordered they were out of. Spent 80.00 what a disappointment will never eat there again.
