They have the best grilled octopus, lobster pasta, and gyros Ive ever had, and the staff is extremely friendly! You should come here if you want good Mediterranean food. Overall, I would rate this establishment a 10/10 for excellent service and cuisine, making it the best restaurant in Cincinnati.
We dis the restaurant week 3-course menu, which was way too much food, but each dish was very good. I dont know authentic Greek cuisine but Ive been to just about every Greek restaurant in this area, and theyre all good, but none better than this. The Meza Platter & Lamb Gyro (& baklava of course) were probably our favorites, but we tried 6 different plates & they were all very good. Service was excellent.
I’m a huge fan of Greek/Mediterranean food and I’d like to mention that I have been to Greece before; the food and atmosphere brought back the experience of being there. Okto has a wide range of food choices for every dietary restrictions which I appreciate. The staff is very knowledgeable and hands on when it came to the Saganaki and the branzino. They prepare and serve the fish in front of you. They also light the Saganaki so it is a fresh and exciting experience. The Baklava is also the best I’ve ever had! I’m so happy to have another original restaurant concept in Cincinnati!
Relaxed atmosphere with excellent food and service, ideal for a date or celebratory dinner. There is a clear emphasis on quality ingredients and preparations. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the flaming saganaki, grilled octopus, and tuna carpaccio were my favorites. The best Greek restaurant in town.
I came with a friend, and we split two appetizers, the Salmon Carpaccio, an entree, and Greek Yogurt for dessert. So delicious, and so much thought went into the preparation of each dish. The scenery is also beautiful. Its incredible! This is the best greek food restaurant in town!
OKTO beautifully captures the essence of Greece through an elevated Mediterranean dining experience that is unlike any other restaurant in Cincinnati. The atmosphere is vibrant and upbeat with a modern European flare and striking design features throughout. Artistry takes form in food here through a menu that is flawlessly executed with fresh, high quality ingredients and stunning presentation. Whether it’s date night or a night out with friends and family – you can’t go with OKTO.
Simply outstanding food and service. Weve been coming here for years for their delicious lunch and, more recently, dinner. We had the Ahi Tuna Seared, Soy Glazed Chicken, Sashimi, and Bibb Lettuce Salad, all of which were excellent. My family and I highly recommend the E+O restaurant located in the banks.
My grandfather came to this country from Greece. My mom, daughter and myself all cook greek food along with my extended family and we have eaten at many greek restaurants. I am not sure what that food was. I ordered a gryo which is thinly Sliced beef and lamb. What I had on my plate was ground meet in the shape of, well you get the idea. Not an authentic greek restaurant..
Our first visit was just ok, slightly disappointed especially compared to E&O. Service was good, vibe was great, and the space is fun. Seating was a little tight for a reservation 2 top. Great drinks. We enjoyed the appetizers pita hummus and spanakopita but nothing stands out as better or more memorable than other local spots. Salmon was not great, dry and fishy. Prices were seemed high. Of I went back I’d consider sticking to their top two plates ($50 each) or just apps.
Definitely not authentic Greek cuisine. Staff greatBeing raised in Athens found food AmericanizedAnd expensive example Greek salad was a disaster 2 pieces of cucumber no olives and small size. . Fried zucchini was good. Octopus very small portion, calamari was good. Not going back unfortunately
Walked in without a reservation, was seated in a timely manner with a decently full dining room. Food was fantastic, atmosphere was fun, & service was very attentive & friendly! Had the grilled octopus for my appetizer, then the burrata salad and my lamb chop entree followed after, all exceptional! Will not only be returning but also recommending! Glad for the stumbling upon this restaurant! Thanks again for an all around great experience Okto
This food was just below average especially for the price. It felt like American Greek food. The kebab was pretty good but the baklava and cheese saganaki left a lot to be desired. The people were nice and the environment was fine. I dont think Ill be coming back though.
We went to OKTO on a whim after hearing about their fresh fish & Greek food offerings on their Instagram. Upon arrival, we were met with an intimate ambience and a really cool, classy crowd. We decided to get the calamari, Greek salad, and vegan beet salad to start! I was really impressed with the range of dietary options too. We also started with their house cocktails that were balanced but still deliciously boozy. The evening definitely got a little more energetic as the night went on… but things still stayed classy and cool - just a heads up like classic e+o restaurants, the music increases around 930. Late night dining was definitely fun but we also enjoyed the romantic ambience earlier in the evening. The lobster pasta was massive and amazing! Staff was young but they worked hard and the service was overall very good. The branzino is also prepared tableside… which is very cool. Finished with delicious baklava… cannot wait for weekday lunches! We will be back!
For someone who lived in Greece, I can say: If you miss Greece, go to Okto! The best modern, Greek, vibe I felt ever since! It is now one of my favorite spots! From its Mediterranean settings, to the modern Greek music and professional service, to the bartender (shout out to Andrew for being one of the best!), and the amazing chefs who always bring consistency! This place is a top notch! My “go to” food choices are: grilled octopus, salmon carpaccio, fried eggplant and the branzino! Beverage choice: Authentic Greek Ouzo! Yamas!
Great Restaurant, Delicious Food, but the service is not great specially for a spot that recently opened. There is a different waitress for every table so because of that you need to keep track of who you ordered from. Many times they brought food to our table that we didnt order. Lastly the wait time between ordering drinks and food was long. I hope they work on the service because they really have quality food and friendly staff.
This place can be many things to many people, but Greek it is NOT! There wasnt a single Greek person on premises. I speak greek and although the food was Greek inspired, it just wasnt worth it for the money. Tomahawk was $150.00 and cooked like Longhorn Steak House only not as good. Sophie, our waitress was attentive. Lamb chops gravy interesting, octopus ap was very tasty. The kabob is a gyro, only WAY more expensive!
Okto is the best new restaurant in Cincinnati since E&O. The menu is expansive and the food exploded with Mediterranean flavor. Chef Wissa and his team in the kitchen made every dish an experience. The decor is organic and the music is a vibe. Thank you for bringing a new flavor to Cincinnati.
We had such an amazing time at OKTO! So excited that there is finally a good Greek spot downtown thats close to everything. We came before going to a show at the Aronoff Center and couldnt have been more impressed by the service and food. We started with the Octopus Carpaccio and I had the the lobster pasta for my entree. We sat at the bar but still had enough space to have a romantic, intimate dinner. Definetly will be back to try more!

2022-03-21Fantastic in every way - impressionistic yet sophisticated space. Upbeat yet, relaxing music create a perfect ambiance. The servers, runners, and rest of the staff were knowledgeable forthright and personable. The food - fresh light yet perfectly sized appetizers, entrees and desserts all of which were executed and plated with precision on unique tableware. Cocktails, wines and beers were well thought out to ensure you find something for your palate without the burden of a large wine cellar or extensive draft list.We cant wait to come back.

2022-04-22First time at OKTO. Beautiful and spacious restaurant. The food is Greek themed and clearly Mediterranean inspired. We had the Mezza appetizer with vegan Moussaka and chicken and lamb souvlaki. All the dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients and were very delicious. For those used to ethnic Greek and other Mediterranean restaurants, might find the food more moderate, probably curated for a broader audience. I would visit again.

2022-02-12This place was very instagrammable. the decor is super cute and the service was great. The food was fine. Sometimes good, mostly okay and definitely overpriced. You’re paying for the experience here and that’s fine but I want good food if I’m paying so much so it was nice but I wouldn’t go back.If you do go I would suggest sitting at the bar bc their craft cocktails were good and getting the calamari or octopus. The best thing I ate that night.

2021-11-16Love the decor and atmosphere!!! Can’t forget to mention how great the food was as well. My husband and I went for a spontaneous night out and were blown away! We split the grilled octopus and lamb chops - to die for. He had the honeycomb dessert and really liked that as well. The staff members were super friendly and attentive. Already made reservations to come back :)

2022-03-27Somewhere between 3-4 stars. Drinks are excellent and I do not say that lightly. Our server was pretty inattentive however the food is good. The grilled octopus is a must and the bia bowl was good, not stellar. Great location across from the Aronoff. I would return but probably just sit at bar for drinks and appetizers.

2022-03-20We went to OTKO last night for our anniversary. Overall it was a good experience and I would go back. I was really disappointed with the grilled octopus, it was over cooked and so chewy we couldn’t eat it. Octopus should always be cooked in under a minute or over an hour. I love spicy, and put hot sauce on everything, but the tequila poloma cocktail was so spicy that it over shadowed the rest of the flavors. It tasted like drinking cold jalapeño water. No grapefruit, no tequila. However, the rest of the food, cocktails and service was great! The pita platter and baklava were delicous, yellowfin tuna was cooked perfectly, the lamb was amazing. I look forward to going back and trying more dishes. I just know the two items to stay away from.

2022-02-23Loved the atmosphere, decor is loud and fun. Staff was friendly, food came quick. We sat at the bar because it was too crowded during the weekend with people seeing the play, so definitely grab reservations ahead of time if you want a table. The grilled octopus was divine! My gyro was pretty good too. Definitely a fancy experience to splurge on :)

2022-04-16This is the most authentic Greek Restaurant that we have been to in Downtown Cincinnati.I ordered the Vegetarian Plate. Great size portions and let me tell you they have the best freshly made pita bread. And both their soups are delicious. We were extremely happy with everything we ate. I absolutely love this Greek Restaurant.
