Do NOT use this company ever. It was a nightmare and my families worse experience with a company, still with no resolve. Very unprofessional movers showed up and due to the amount of damage within the first hour needed to fire one mover (not allow him in home). Multiple areas of DAMAGED walls and floors in a brand new home from this employee. They asked to be paid upfront and added a 20% tip for themselves that my father unknowingly paid and thankfully could cancel the tip later. Since there was only one mover my father needed to help him move items in… That was why we hired movers. I asked to be contacted by the manager for a partial refund since we still paid fully price for 1/2 the work and no one has contacted me. Horrible business ethics and no attempt to make things right.
One of the worst services I’ve ever experienced. Extremely unprofessional from beginning to end. NO ONE WORE MASKS when entering and exiting the building. Numerous expensive and fragile items were broken. It was clear the movers were inexperienced because they would drag out furniture and other items any way they wanted and not carry any items the way they were meant to be carried. The movers were supposed to arrive on a Saturday and didn’t show up all day (even after several calls). The next day, they showed up late again, moved incredibly slow, and took two hour breaks when they claimed they would only be gone for 30mins. Worse off, they were rude, angry, and dismissive about our complaints the entire time. Completely unwarranted disrespect during an already time sensitive move. Would not EVER recommend this company because frankly none of their services are worth it.
This is really a good moving company. Black owned professional, on schedule and willing to help. Anthony was my crew chief and he made sure I didnt even have to lift a pillow. My wife and I litteraly sat down and pointed them to where we wanted everything. Like seen in the photo, they do wear uniforms. Loved the energy they brought with them. They always made sure they had a system to thier move as well. They were very mindful of walls and doors as well They even helped me hang my 70 inch TV. It was a great day thank to them. Worth the money.
Ohio Packers & Movers were so efficient and professional! They were able to work with my last minute request and the service was amazing. Best moving company I ever worked with hands down. So quick and all of my items were still in great condition unlike the last company I worked with. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.
It was so easy to obtain an estimate via their website, and the pre-move service was terrific. The estimated price was in line with what I expected, and there was no change after the move. The crew was friendly, hard-working, kind and made the nerve-wrecking process of moving a genuine pleasure. My items were all moved with care, and it was the very best moving experience I’ve ever had. The crew was professional and fast, even on an incredibly hot day. If I ever move again, I would not hesitate to use this company again.
This company is the next best thing! Everybody knows the process of moving can be very frustrating and tiresome, with the help of Ohio Packers and Movers they made the whole process a little more easier on me. Very respectful and treated my property as it was their own and were open to answering any questions or doubts I may have had throughout the whole day. Free Estimate was given as well. A True Life Saver !! I truly recommend anyone looking towards moving to book with them.
I did a cross-town move and Ohio Movers and Packers (Jordan’s group) did great! Despite the fact that I was quoted three movers, Jordan and his teammate moved quickly and efficiently to get everything loaded and unloaded. I would recommend them for your next move!!
I would recommend Ohio Packers and Movers for moving long and short distance! Not only did they beat every other quote I received, but they also got the job done quickly and efficiently! Every employee was professional and careful to not hit and corners or walls. Would definitely book a move with them again!

I was extremely excited when I was referred to this company and after speaking with the owner his well rounded professionalism the day I scheduled my appointment was amazing. The day of the move was not only a disaster but unprofessional and unorganized. I was scheduled for 3 guys for a 3 bedroom townhouse with basement but the day of only 2 were sent. The owner finally sent another guy to assist. During scheduling I asked if the guys could move stuff I wasn’t taking to the curb as they were loading the truck he said it wouldn’t be an issue. It was also confirmed by the team lead the when they arrived. Needless to say multiple things including my deep freezer was left. This was an out of city move so the inconvenience of driving back abs forth to Columbus, renting a moving truck and going back and forth with the owner (through texted because he refused to call me after saying he would) was a nightmare. The workers admitted they dropped the ball. The owner promised a credit towards me having to get a moving truck on March 1st, which I have yet to receive. There is so much I could say regarding this move but I will stop after saying this: it’s unfortunate that this has been the absolute worst experience of my life while trying to support a business that came by highly referred.
Professional efficient and careful. Nothing damaged in the process. Very impressed with the crew that Moved me. They came in and went straight to work and truly worked as a team. Considerate of all my belongings. I had several large and heavy items and they moved them with ease. (Clearly experienced) would recommend to friends and family . Thanks guys.
I absolutely loved doing business with Ohio Packers & Movers! I was stressed out because everyone raised their prices due to COVID. I was in a rush and they got me moved ASAP. The movers were so nice and considerate of my fragile furniture and boxes! Definitely my go to.

Used these guys for an out of state move about 3hrs away from Columbus. This was a super stressful time for me but they definitely took a big weight off my shoulders. Michael and Mike J. were professional, kind, never stopped working, took no breaks and I had a pain in the butt move.Thanks guys for cutting some of the ick from my move !!If I were to say anything negatove it would be that the bid for the move was low necessitating an additional expenditure of money that wasnt budgeted. But even that wasnt too difficult to take because of the guys who did the move. Not a single complaint out of them even considering the mess they walked into to move me.

This was around 12:50-12:55 pm Thurs 2/11 at Walcutt and Roberts roads light coming out of gas station.I really hate to post this because I have not used this company personally to be able to properly rate their service, but I think if it were me either researching and vetting companies or using them I would want to know. Today on my lunch break I went out for lunch and to get gas. I pulled up to a light and a truck from Ohio Packers and Movers was right next to me in the other lane. As I came up behind the truck before making it to the light, I saw an arm hanging out the passenger window as someone was clearly smoking. Now I am not posting to judge on anyone’s lifestyle choices or what that they do in their own time. But when I pulled up next to the truck at the red light I noticed a very strong odor - 100% a weed smell - and it was definitely coming from that truck as there weren’t other vehicles around. I did notice that the one small triangle shaped window was open and the smell and smoke was just barreling out of the front cabin. Now, again, I don’t care whether individuals smoke and am not at all judging on that. But it is extremely irresponsible and dangerous for vehicles to be operated, let alone a huge truck such as this one, under the influence (of anything!). It is not safe for the crew members inside that truck nor is it safe for other drivers on the road. Not to mention I imagine that the typical customer finds it really important that their belongings and valuables be handled with the utmost care. I’d personally be worried if crew members were high or drunk or whatever on the job not only for their safety but that my belongings might be more likely to be damaged while moving in/out of the home or during transport due to impairment or carelessness of those moving my furniture and/or driving the truck. In this case it appeared just to be the passenger and not the actual driver but if you have 2, 3 whatever crew members riding in the front of the truck like that together and at least one is smoking marijuana while on the clock mind you the others are still inhaling it and being affected by it as well. Plus we are in the middle of a pandemic so not only are the several crew members riding together already breathing and exchanging each other’s breath and germs but they also are spreading their breath and germs further by smoking and blowing all over the truck. Not to mention with the smell that was coming out of that truck and having my own windows all closed I wouldn’t want either a home I am moving out of for new people to move into or my own new home to reak of marijuana after the move. Plus it just doesn’t look very professional or give the company a good image. And they were clearly driving around a truck with the company’s name, number, crew member photos plastered all over the truck so it reflects upon the entire company from top to bottom. If it were smoking a cigarette it would be a totally different story but this was absolutely not the case. It was most definitely marijuana. Again I am not here to judge anyone’s lifestyles or actions in their own time outside of work. But witnessing this was concerning to me and I thought I should share. I am not saying don’t use the company if you look into it and find that it is a good fit for your needs and all of that, but I simply would want to know about this myself. Perhaps if it even made me more likely to spend the extra money to purchase insurance to make sure my belongings would be covered should something happen to them. Like I have stated already, I haven’t actually used them so I can’t say they aren’t a good moving service or that they don’t have some great, hard working guys on their crews but I just wanted to put this out there as a safety concern and simply hope that the individual I witnessed today will be much more cognizant and careful in the future because impaired driving could injure or kill someone else, or themselves and they also shouldn’t want to jeopardize a client’s belongings either. Mover arrived 2 hours late apparently after having several coworkers quit, then refused to move stuff. The owner tried to extort 1800 dollars out of my wife over the phone, while gaslighting and belittling her.

When you are moving your personal belongings, expensive furniture, art work, and other items, it is nice to have a team that cares deeply for what they are doing. 2021-08-27This company doesn’t even deserve one star. We were told that all of our furniture would be wrapped for protection. That didn’t happen and every single piece of furniture we had moved was damaged. One of the moving guys dragged our mattress across the floor of the common area in our new apartment building. We called and reported our experience. They asked for pictures so we submitted 14 photos of the damage to all our furniture. Almost a month and many phone calls later we still have gotten no resolution from the moving company. It seems there is almost zero communication amongst their different departments so don’t expect them to communicate well with you as a customer either. Paid over $700 for them and probably damaged over $1000 worth of items. Don’t recommend!

2021-08-30Mitchell and his team are incredible. I was in a crisis situation after another moving company tried to double our agreed upon fees. I had 2 days to get out of my house, no movers and I called Ohio Packers and Movers to see if they could help me find a solution. They were able to come up with a plan and they had me packed and moved in less than 24 hours. The guys who came out were friendly, hard working, and professional. I cannot recommend them enough. Great movers and a great value. Look nowhere else!!

2021-06-04I found this company on the Columbus Black Owned Business page. The guy I talked to was very nice. Informed me that they would arrive in uniform with a matching company truck which they did. The day I moved it rained really bad. I was contacted to advise due to the weather they would be delayed. No problem I totally understand. When they arrived they got right to work. I think I was the last move and they were tired from the rainy day of moving. We did do a final walk through to make sure they got everything I wanted move. Of course I didn’t notice they didn’t put the mirror to my dresser on the truck. They brought it out the room but left it against the wall in the dining room. Which was my fault. Got to the new place had to pay before they unloaded. No problem. The problem came when one of my mirrored nightstand was damaged. I was told I would get something off the bill. But I had already paid. One of the movers was overheard saying they needed to hurry and get home to their kids. Understandable. It had been a long day. I did notice after they left some of the heavier bedroom items were left in the living room. So I had to end up having someone else move the items upstairs. For the most part it was a good move. At least I didn’t have to do any heavy lifting. My takeaway would be for the next time to slow down and make sure everything is where I want it regardless of rush the workers are in to end their work day. No one called to follow up. I still tipped because it was a rainy day and for the most part they did what I asked.

2021-02-18This company is professional from the owner down through the employees. I have used them on the business end and most recently with a personal family move. Johns crew did nothing but hustle and speak professionally from start to finish. They also made sure to inform us that they may run over time and it could affect price, but it was justified because they did everything they could to fit it in. Once we got to the destination they continued to hustle and stay inside the time window for the move. I would highly recommend Ohio Packers And Movers for any company or personal move, you will see nothing but professionalism and hustle.

2021-01-24Really appreciated how professional and cool the guys was. They where 15 minutes ahead of time and they took good care of my furniture and TVs especially my glass table. I was amazed at how quickly they got everything wrapped and on the truck. Ohio Packers & Movers are my go to on my next move or when I need something stored Im calling them.
