Ohio Fire in other cities:
I’ve gotten pizza from here twice and it was very disappointing. The cheese was cheap, the crust is subpar, you would honestly be better off buying a $3 freezer pizza. Beyond that, my fiancée got chicken that was undercooked and management tried to shrug it off.Additionally, their management apparently tries to withhold their employees final paychecks and has taken to social media to publicly discuss a former employees health issues and other personal details. Maybe if they spent less time on social media and more time on their food they’d have a halfway decent place to eat. Disgusting.
The food was great. I have never experienced just tender tasteful crust before. What made the experience was our waiter De Vaughnte though! He was GREAT! We could not tip him enough! Keep him at all costs!! :PGreat food, clean atmosphere, delicious drinks and FANTASTIC waiter!! 👍
I personally cannot speak to the food served at this establishment (it is probably fine), but social media reputation is severely skewed due to certain members of management publicly displaying extremely unprofessional and bigoted language. If that kind of thing matters to you, maybe steer clear.
Will never give this place my money! Bashing former employees for being trans, for their mental health and financial situation. Absolutely disgusting. I love supporting local businesses, but not ones who are absolutely disgusting towards good people.Edit to add: The fact that they are filling their own Google reviews with positive reviews to do damage control for this is pathetic
We went here for lunch as a group of 3. Service was super prompt and friendly. The pizza is delicious! Also the Antipasti is huge and great, especially the bree cheese spread for the crustinis. Atmosphere is really nice. Love the stained glass in the back! All in all a nice time. I made the mistake picking my kids up with my left overs in the car. It didnt make it into the house. That being said, they said that it was really good cold as well!Update: Went with my family this time. Oh my word is the Steakhouse pizza awesome!! We all enjoyed our food and service!
NOT LGBTQ+ friendly. After reading comments posted by the current manager (Sheryl) regarding a former employee, I would never recommend an establishment that degrades its employees (past or present) on a public forum. Degrading/slandering another human being on social media and mentioning their mental health, financial situation, & genitalia is unprofessional & appalling. I cannot imagine what kind of unprofessionalism occurs in the work place! I would not recommend!
Will never try the food with how the managers are definitely cyber bullying and harassment towards former employees on social media throwing out their private life for everyone to know! It’s sad that the managers are rude to their employees online I can’t even imagine what they do or say to their employees behind the doors at work.
The food was pretty good. I feel like they had selections that would cater to different tastes and choices in food. The building was set up really good, I liked the decor on the patio. The only issue I had during my entire experience was that when we paid our bill we asked for to go boxes and after 20 minutes our waitress never returned.
Tl;dr - Had a great time. A 5 star rating would be achieved with a better vegan selection. We live near downtown, so walking to a pizza joint was pretty rad! Arrived an hour before closing for a snack and drinks. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the sunset as our server promptly grabbed our drink order. We added an order of the bruschetta, sans parmesan to make it vegan. Server was perfectly attentive without being intrusive. We wrapped up and paid around closing to cap off a great first experience.
Amazing stone fire baked pizzas with frequent weekly specialties that are not typically on the menu such as the Ruben, Taco, Gyro and Cheeseburger pizzas. They also provide cauliflower crust, most often as the Cauliflower Crust Caprese, but there is an option to have a 12 in cauliflower crust as a build your own. Their mini fried ravioli is a must-try as well. I had their specialty sub, the Buffalo Chicken, it was phenomenal and very filling. It also comes with fries. Ohio Fire is definitely a great place to eat and would recommend anyone that comes Ashland to try it out! You will experience a whole different level of pizza that you will not find anywhere else in town!
After 3 visits to Ohio Fire I now feel prepared to offer the following review. The $5 side salads are over priced for the amount of salad you get. The $8 wedge salad is literally half a head of iceberg, every other wedge salad I have even had was maybe a sixth to a quarter of a head. Take some of that lettuce and make your $5 salads worth the price. The pizza has always been good, the alfredo pesto chorizo specialty pizza is my favorite. The Tomato, Ricotta, and Basil pizza needed to have some parmesan, salt, and parsley added to the ricotta to make it more than a bland glob of cheese. The Basil leaves were the small leaves that first appear on the plant, these leaves dont have the strong Basil flavor you get from larger mature leaves. The Buffalo Chicken sub was decidedly not Buffalo at all. It was like they held a bottle of Franks Red Hot near it but never put any on the sandwich. With a total bill of $53 for two people after tip I expect bolder flavors. You can eat at South Street Grill or UBC for less, and if you want pizza most of the pizza chains in town offer products that might not be cooked in the same way but taste just as good and at half the price.
Okay.... I gonna give this place another try, but for now I wanna rate the food because this place looks amazing. Look some places when they are new are usually busy, this place was no exception. However the pepperoni pizza that I ordered had to much cheese and grease. So much that when you take a slice, that parts of the crust loosely falls apart in areas where it wasnt cut at. Ill give this another try and rate again in the future.
Tried over 5 times to call and place an order and no answer. Finally decided to just go in person to put a take out order in. Was told it would be an hour wait, ended up being almost an hour and 20 minutes. There were a lot of people just standing by the bar either waiting to put in an order or to pick up. Felt pretty crowded and was awkward because youre just waiting in the middle of people eating at their tables. There was no system to let you know when your order was ready and when we asked one of the workers how we would know it was ready she gave attitude. Once we got the pizza it was just ok, i was hoping it would be worth the long wait. But i wasnt impressed. Hopefully after theyre open for longer they will work out the kinks and manage their orders and waits better.
Newly opened fire-baked oven pizza restaurant with 16 beers on tap and a full bar, including outside patio seating with compatible weather. Located downtown on Main St in the heart of the city of Ashland. Menu features specialty pizzas, salads, and subs. I suggest the Alfredo pesto chorizo pizza w/wasabi microgreens!

2022-05-31Visited first time for lunch. Great tasting pizza that came out fast. Service also was great. We took the recommendation of students at the local university, and they were right. Plan to eat there again when were passing by Ashland. Located next to the campus along a nice section of town with other small shops and businesses.

2022-02-06Good pizza!!! Staff is wonderful, they do get busy at times but its worth the wait and they tell you actual correct wait times unlike other pizza shops. It does get quite noisy inside on busy nights but the patio is calm and quite and a great addition.

2022-04-15I travel to Ashland for work occasionally and in doing so I stop at this location quite often. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the crust is unlike anything I’ve tried before. I’m not sure what they do to it, but I always end up eating way more than I need to. Definitely worth giving it a try.

2022-04-12Awesome place with a great atmosphere. Pizza is great! Monica is awesome and the owners are always around talking to the customers! That’s says a lot about how much they care about their customer experience.

2022-04-06Ive been working here for a year and I couldnt ask for a better place to work. Keith the owner goes above and beyond for his employees. He would literally give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it. My manager Amber aka ninja brings organization and fairness to the table and she is friendly and upbeat. The food is amazing and fresh. The drinks are delicious and unique. I love my coworkers and we work hard as a team to make sure our customers have an excellent experience. I moved here a year ago from the Chicagoland area and ohio fire is my family now!

2022-04-06The management, owners, & current staff are now doing damage control by FLOODING Google with positive reviews, after their manager (Sheryl) took to social media and publicly slandered an ex-employee, regarding their mental health, finances, and genitalia. If an establishment has to do damage control because their reputation among the community is now poor, due to extremely inappropriate comments made by management, perhaps that establishment should rethink their mission/values! I would NOT recommend this establishment as they are not LGBTQ+ friendly and are okay with treating former staff with zero respect!
