Ohio City Burrito in other cities:
Ohio City Burrito is my five year old’s favorite restaurant (mostly because of the cool skull on the sign but it’s delicious too), so after a rough morning of getting a blood draw, naturally he requested a lunch from here.As usual, the food and staff was amazing. Crystal even went out of her way to try to cheer my little guy up! She encouraged him to choose some protein and beans to help him feel better and kept him company while I ordered my freaking delicious barbacoa burrito (still thinking about it 8 hours later). We purchased a fountain drink thinking we’d get a lemonade, but oh man we forgot about the amazing fresh limeade they have until we made our way over there. I couldn’t say no to a reasonable request for limeade after what my son had been through, so we filled up on limeade and circled back to the counter to make up the difference. Crystal must have picked up on my stellar review writing vibes, and cut me a deal that she’d call it even if I left a Google review. Well sister, you got it! Truly a kind and understanding offer I was happy to oblige knowing my review would be worth far more than the difference in beverage price. We’ll go back here time and time again, nothing empowers my son like getting to create his own burrito, choosing to only add guacamole and cheese, and while eating it enjoying it as though it’s the best damn thing that’s ever graced his lips (Crystal got him to add beans and some veggies this time!), and my husband and I love the options and flavors especially compared to other burrito joints. We always love our food and service from the Lakewood OCB! Also, we lived in New Mexico for two years so the decor is such warm nod to our time and the culture there. Cheers to OCB and the kind hearts that keep the engine running!
Usually very happy with this place because it tastes better than chipotle, but my last order was really messed up as they left off not one, not two, but three of the items I requested on their Friday fish bowl. Called and they said they would refund me but never did. Leaving a one star in hopes their employees will care a little more about their jobs and customers.
Probably the worst “Mexican” restaurant in Lakewood. Everything taste bland. No real spices or seasonings used. Can 100% tell it’s not authentic at all. Clams to have the best burritos when chipotle is even better than them. Specialty drinks are a joke also. Nothing seemed fresh.
Food is wonderful. Rice and beans are a good staple. Super filling. The burrito is the star here. Of course youre thinking on comparing Ohio city burrito to chipotle. Hands down Ohio city is better. Less salty. Same with the tortilla chips. Just enough salt to bring out the flavor.Speaking of the tortilla chips. Nice and crunchy. The one complaint Ill offer is that the chorizo wasnt as spicy as Id prefer or expect, but the seasoning and flavor is not lacking one bit. Smokey and savory. The food is excellent.
I believe that this place is better than chipotle. The chicken was flavorful and the veggies were crisp and fresh. I’m excited to come back and try the shrimp. The workers were friendly and made sure they greeted me when I arrived. My son enjoyed his food which is awesome because he’s a very picky eater.
This is the 3rd time Ive gotten Ohio City Burrito. The food is good, fresh, was delivered quickly and they have never gotten our order wrong. But today, I was really let down. Ordered two sides of chips and queso to go with our burritos. The moment I saw the size of the chip bags, I knew I was in for some heartbreak. And boy, did my heart break. My infant sized bag had THIRTEEN chips in it......thirteen! Idk about you guys, but thirteen chips only gets me about 1/3rd of the way through my burrito, TOPS. Did they think we were ordering for a baby? Do babies even eat chips? Im not sure if they had a chip shortage or what, but THIRTEEN chips guys?? Thirteen chips??!!! Normally, this would be a 4 star rating. I hope you guys start upping the size of your bags of chips, because if not youre going to force me to order like 6 bags of chips next time just for myself....which would be stupid.
I went last night with my wife and we got a couple of burritos. The service was awesome and the food was amazing. This is now our new place to go when we are Hungary. Thank you for the amazing experience. I extremely recommend if you want awesome food Ohio City Burrito is the place to be.
Really love the food and the service all around. Nice people working there. My one complaint is that the staff in general doesnt have good mask etiquette. For example one man, who I can only assume is the manager, leaves his mask over his chin. Doesnt even bother to put it on when youre standing right in front of him.I can empathize that its difficult to wear a mask consistently throughout the day, but it really leaves me with little confidence when I come there for lunch.
I went to Ohio City Burrito today. I usually have a good experience, but today it was different. The lady wanted me to pay for the food even with a free burrito credit. She wanted me to swip my card. I was frustrated. Then I asked for hand sanitizer and she said they cant give any. I wont be back and thats sad I have spent a lot of money in there. And Ive been loyal. It takes on experience to run someone away.
Food is great. We love eating here. Leaving this review today because I am appalled. Not sure I can eat here again after today. This is a training, food safety, and honestly COMMON SENSE problem. The worker helping us cross contaminated everything wearing her gloves the entire time. I watched her touch her mask and face under her mask. She then preceded to start making my food touching the tortilla, cheese, lettuce etc. She handled my credit card, handled my food again. Made the next person’s food with the same gloves, then handled their card and the point of sale machine. She never changed her gloves. This is a huge no no in any food industry but even more so with covid-19. I was in disbelief.
We ordered this for take out through door dash. My husband picked it up. The order was mushy and all wrong. One taco was missing the lettuce the other was missing the sour cream. The guac was lacking flavor, I had to add to it at home. My husband got a bowl and asked for a tortilla shell on the side which they did no provide. I ordered 3 different salsas and they only have 2. I wasnt impressed with anything about this place.I will say however that I would like to give it a chance in person to see if they did better that way.
Im so happy that they opened this location. I have always loved their food. I will definitely frequent this location instead of occasionally dropping in at w25th! Their food is amazing and perfectly seasoned. Their decor is fun and vibrant. The staff is amazing and Jordyn is very friendly. The food is not ridiculously overpriced and there are no upcharges for guacamole HALLELUJAH !!!! Thank you Ohio City Burrito for being wonderful all around :)
Saw this place as we were driving by.On a whim we pulled over and parked on the curb.Wow this is a great Burrito shop. Even offer vegan burritos if you like.We had a vegan taco salad too. We were full.Pleasant, fast, easy, funWhen you stop in tell them Joe sent you...they will say Joe Who...thats me
It’s not terrible but the overall atmosphere doesn’t have the same feel as the one on W. 25TH. From the staff to the customers during my time there, it feels like the soul of OCB was ripped out and corporate came knocking. Food is about the same as W. 25TH so if you’re looking to just grab and go, you’ll be fine but if you’re looking to stay in and eat there, you may want to reconsider which location you visit.
I don’t recommend using your debit card here EVER!! The young boy swept my debit card several times, and asked if I wanted to leave a tip, after he swiped it the several times! I told him my son already put a tip in the tip bucket! I was charged two different charges plus TWO preauthorization Charges on Thursday and I spoke to two employees who told me the owner was working on it and I would here from her Saturday morning! I haven’t received any call, my money back no apologies nothing! Customer service haha , they have no experience!
Going off the menu- Quesadillas come with cheese and black beans. I added Chicken. It also comes with 3 sides. When I picked it up I asked for napkins and utensils. Already in the bag said the cashier. I headed to the park only to find no utensils or napkins. But only chicken & cheese. No black beans. How am I to eat my sides with no utensils? Disappointing.
Worst restaurant ever. No manager/owner response needed, there will never be a second visit. In fact, I hope that i can prevent others from wasting their money. I can provide my order date and time, as well as bank statement to validate my visit. I dont have enough space to list what was wrong in this review. I hope that the problem is this location. I will NEVER reccomend this restaurant, please go anywhere else.
I love OCB as a local option to Chipotle. This location opened years after their first one on W25th (actually in OhioCity). While the food in some ways is comparable the 1 factor I always loved is that the offer refried beans as opposed to pinto . In addition to that they have a rewards program to earn free burritos. During the COVID-19 pandemic they are open and have a 5 customer max to help enforce physical distancing and prevent lines crowding inside while ordering or picking up food.
I also love the food here, but to echo a previous review, I was also appalled at the lack of sanitary practices especially during covid-19. The first person went to refill the rice, after I watched him touch his nose and mask with his gloved hand, and then use his gloved hand to grab a big handful of cilantro to mix into the rice. His mask kept falling below his nose, which is why he kept touching his face to pull it up. What bothered me is that he didnt change his gloves at all and probably had been doing that his whole shift. He was going to prepare my food with the same gloves on but I opted to leave. Seems gross even if covid wasnt an issue. Some of us cant afford to get sick right now. So, Ohio City Burrito is definitely off the list of places to grab dinner.
We ordered through door dash in efforts to support local during all of this craziness and proceeded to not get the accurate order. When I called, the worker told me that the menu listing was incorrect on door dash but when I looked at the actual menu on the OCB website, it was the EXACT same as the one on doordash. They then proceeded to leave out any sides of the salsa/sour cream/guac that was ordered. Overall, if youre going to work at a restaurant and provide service, at the very least, know your menu and how to read an online order that has everything clearly listed.

2022-02-27Best burrito I’ve had possibly ever! Like a lot,of places, you pick your toppings which were all fresh and delicious. However the main winner was the marinated pork. I would make that pork every week if I knew the recipe, it was fantastic! Great value for the price and the folks were very friendly as well.

2022-03-31This is a great alternative to Chipotle. The serving sizes are better and the food has a lot more flavor. There never seems to be a line here so you always get your meal pretty fast. It’s good food and a calm environment.

2020-05-02Ive only tried Ohio City Burrito through DoorDash and my experiences were very good. Their tacos are kinda small, but the price reflects that. I enjoy their queso, guac, and salsa. The burritos are great - like a local Chipotle, but better.

2022-03-13I had a pretty weird experience here the other day. Ordered delivery, and only received about half of the items. Receipt had all items on it, and bag was closed, so figured the mixup was on OCBs end, not the delivery.I called them about it and just asked for a refund (for the missing items) assuming they couldnt make a second delivery. They jotted down my info and said a manager would be in touch for the refund. I called back the next day, and got a similar runaround with the manager being busy and on the phone, but could take my info and process the refund. And said Id even receive a text when it was processed.A week later, no dice. I dropped it because it wasnt worth more time commitment.

2019-10-11First time here. Amazing food(better than chipotle) super nice staff and management. Open air storefront is beautiful. Local food. Chips from Westside Market. This location has only been here two weeks as of today. Big variety of salsa and drinks. AND they have a *combo* option! Which is awesome when you come in for dinner and want something more, but dont feel like paying an arm and a leg for it! The barbacoa is this amazing cross between sweet slow cooked beef and spicy taco meat. The chicken is a sweet bite. Salsas taste FRESH AS HELL. Its a small space, but its a cozy small, not cramped.

2021-06-14This Place Rocks! First time eating here and it exceeds all expectations. I had a Burrito with Pork Carnitas, refried beans and cheese. Added favorite was cilantro. They are huge, really enough to share with someone else. The guys behind the counter were welcoming and very helpful offering suggestions while I ordered. It rivals some of the best Mexican food I have had.
