Octapharma Plasma in other cities:
Sometimes it can be performed perfectly.when the right people and systems are in place. It took me sometime to get to know the staff and management. I know see the roles management and staff play in there day to day operations. They Need Staffing , but the staff that are in place care about there job. They perform incredibly with placement they are given.
Some of the staff are professional and polite. But certain staff members are very rude. Sometimes they’re on the phone or talking inappropriately in front of customers. They are constantly slow. I waited almost three hours the last couple of times I’ve donated. They should have a meeting on how to be professional in the work field.
Mrs.Shannon and Jeanette sorry I probably spelled your name wrong but you two definitely make my day every time I donate. Between the relaxing breathing mantras so my pulse isn’t through the roof and Nett being her bright awesome self I would recommend this center any day. -Britt
Ive been going to this Octapharma location for quite a while now. Before I came here I was going to the CSL Plasma location up Cleveland Ave in the Northland Plaza Shopping Center. The last time I donated at CSL I got a hematoma (I think thats what it is called) where my arm started swelling up like a balloon around the needle during a return cycle. I thought my arm was going to explode lol. Luckily I yelled and they came over and shut it down. The next week I switched to Octapharma. The staff is always super friendly to me, which to me seems like it would be difficult to keep a good attitude considering some of the @$$holes they have to put up with there. Some people can be so rude and impatient. Ive yet to have any complaints with Octapharma. Most of the staff knows me by name and are super friendly and welcoming every time I go there. Actually I guess I do have one complaint.A few months ago they changed to a new pay card provider called Comdata or something like that which seems to have more fees than the previous card provider. Also if you lose your card you now have to call Comdata and have them mail you a new card whereas before all you had to do was tell one of the staff at Octapharma and they could issue you a new card right then and there at the center. It was so much more convenient.
410 donations you get $100 that you cant pull off anywhere without being extremely charged the only way to get any money which will be 97 of The 100 is to go and get cash back after buying a $0.25 pack of Kool-Aid at Kroger on top of that they dont open until 11 then half the staff isnt there until noon even they complain theyre not being paid enough this place gets to Stars until they can fix this grifols is obliterated in this place with ATM features that allow you to get your money for free every dime!
Staff is very friendly, and they have gotten more staff since my first couple of visits. Im very glad they are staying open longer hours. And other than the pre donation physical, once you get in the donation chair they get you in and out pretty quickly. Only thing I wish is that I didnt have to wait for the computer to finish talking before I could answer. And that there were chair to sit in while waiting to get your physical. Other than that it a fairly new donation center, and it continues to get better with every visit.
This place is very disappointing, every time I come here its a 3 hour wait! The staff is very lazy ! Theres only two stickers, 14 people in line! Staff members walking off in the back some where! Staffing members playing around talking too much instead of getting people in and out! This place is very unorganized i would give them zero Stars if I could
Ive been to a couple different places to donate, and this is BY FAR the Best one Ive been to, and will be staying with. They treat you like family, always friendly, and patient & professional above all else. The nurse Heather, takes exceptional Care of the donors, never makes you feel inferior, and always welcome. The Two phlebotomists Jeannette and Thi who always stick me are among the best Ive ever encountered, you dont even feel it when then they stick or unhook you, and they keep you laughing and in great spirits especially Jeanette and Jacob whos also extremely good, I would recommended any/or everyone to come here...I love this place😁😁😁🙌
Stood in line for an hour only Two station open . 10 people in line. I set in the chair at 11:47am still havent got poked and there is 4 people ahead of me, that still is waiting. Theres only 1 person that pokes on the floor the rest walk off somewhere. 👎👎👎 And still have not got hook up to machine.
I went to do a good deed today, to help. There was no person to help me.lm first time donar dont know process.I stood at front desk for a very long time and no person to help me! So I went to the machine and went through process to sign in& info wasnt expected. So i went back to front desk ,still no person to help me.so i went and got in line with an other person.then thay called next ,then I was told that I had to go to front desk where I already stood before.then took my id and gave me papers to read, which same info is repeated twice.then I started watching video & realised that I have been there 1 hour 15 min. It took me 10 min to read info pack & 5 min into video . Thats 15 min actual time to sigh in & 1 Hour looking for help!! I saw plenty of employees standing around chit chating.I had all the time in the world to donate but when I seem to be invisible to staff & not giving new doners directions on what to do, well I dont have time to be ignored .No wonder it takes up to 5 hours to donate.Staff seemed to be unmotivated & respectful to people coming in to donate.
This location deserves no stars but the only way to post a review is to put a star so I put a star so you can know not to go to this location its poor quality services, very unprofessional.the waiting time is always more than expected, some of the staff are un friendly and very ignorant they look always tired and depressed when you visit never optimistic when you donate its very depressing to see a staff member depressed when being greeted at the door it makes you feel like not donating its a waste of energy not so good atmosphere there at all, my wife been upset with me every time I donate because of the long wait and poor judgment there. Ive been donating at this location for years now and Im finally fed up with the situation the service brings at this location every time I donate I do it to help save lives but the way they act at this location is like there trying to take my life lol. well give me a headache at least with all the problems they cause here. I was very loyal to this companys location but its always the same pattern with this location its like every time I get to save some money on my card, and get to the bonus day every two or three months they say my protien is to low its something very weird about that when I cook and eat three meals a day and see my doctor on the regular Im very upset with this location not only the fact that i cant help save lives, I cant save money. Its so close to Thanksgiving as well Christmas Ive had it with this location I want to go to another location but will they have the same service there ? Its just very confusing at this point right now and all I wanted to do is get some free time from my wife and kids for a donating hour or two catch up on some highlights of the sport games I previously missed save lives with my plasma and get some money to help my kids all at the same time, to do things the best way I can to help the best way I can for the community the positive way smh, its just not right at this location smh, smh, its so close to Christmas smh fyi if youre trying to help save lives by donating plasma and your planning to be consistent dont!!!! go to this location youre loyalty is not appreciated at this location period. Is my wifes post but this is Rudolph bell speaking period saying dont go to this location period
😎In being a regular donor, throughout the years of this establishment, I enjoy giving plasma for a good cause.👍🏾And today was another positive experience!😎High praise to all the center staff members @ center# 473 Columbus, Ohio 👍🏾Thanks L.A.👍🏾Good stick👍🏾Keep-up the good work!😎
So far I personally dont have any complaints. Most staff are helpful and friendly. My favorite phlebotomist is Thi (shes great for people who have small veins!). The center is really clean and spacious, considering the location of the center. Your best bet is to go as early as you can, otherwise you will be caught in a LONG line (usually after 10am). For first-time donors, you actually get to cut the line (which is GREAT when you see the long line and wait time) after registration. It will however be the LONGEST wait time (because of registration) for you. After that, you never have to wait forever again (unless youre seeing the nurse on duty for something).
I went into donate plasma for the first time at this facility and I was hooked up to a machine that had a problem with turning off. I waved down for some help, the lady used clamps on the tubes, not sure the purpose of that. I sat there for about 5 min when the machine clicked back on. The clamps on the tubes were still on, close to 5 minutes pass and I finally get some help. My hand was turning blue and i was feeling faint. Another worker took the clamps off with a confused look on their face stating that wasnt suppose to be there. Awesome. Scroll ahead to 2 days later, I donate again and they used the same arm i donated with before. The gentleman that poked my arm did so a bit aggressively and it hurt my arm and pinched through the whole process. I assumed nothing and thought he may have poked me too hard and thats why it still hurt. Not at all, it has been a week and my arm randomly goes numb and the poked area pinches and hurts. I really hope I did not get nerve damage. Im very upset about the experiences Ive had here. Im also not so sure my arm will ever be ok again.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Its terrible there! Most of the time you are waiting over an hour and half to start your donation. Definitely NOT worth the little bit of money. The staff plays too much instead of getting people in the chair. Go to one of the other donation places!
Nicole acts like she is always too busy to come to the phone. Very unorganized. Nicole Larson has a problem with dealing with other companies pertaining to octapharma corporation. In all it’s a very unprofessional plasma center. Treats employees as if they are below them, bathrooms need to be cleaned, managers are very dull as if they have something better to do with their time. Apparently, they are the lowest paying plasma center in the state of Ohio. Not just with employee rates but also donation rates as well. No I am not a donor or an employee rather I am just a reviewer of companies that we get reports of that need improvements. My advice is there are enough plasma centers with a better understanding of how to treat not only their employees, but their donors too.
Great place to come to and donate. Allllllll the staff are wonderful, professional , caring and down to earth. They treat you like family, so i dont mind referring Octapharma to my family and friends. I Know from personal experience they will be completely satisfied 😘😘
I love the employees here at this Octpharma plasma place. I havent donated in over 10 years an had a bad experience the last time I did. And when this location opened on September 7th,2016, I wanted to see how they was an been coming here ever since. They have a clean facility, 4 screeners, an maybe 5 stickers. Even the head managers can stick good. I would recommend if u want a good an clean plasma place to go to come here.
They told me when I came in at 1pm that I couldnt donate as a first time donor because I guess 4 hours to get the process done wasnt long enough. Thats the 2nd time they sent me away because 4 hours wasnt long enough. Ive seen CSL plasma be more busy and they still take people. The people who work here are lazy and apparently move slow and dont want to do their jobs. Before you go, call because if not you might be wasting your time.
100% a scam. You get more money on your second donation of the week. And can only donate twice in a 7 day period. The week starts over on sunday, so if your first donation is on a saturday, or sunday, then you dont get ypur bonus for your second donation in a 7 day period.
Was there a long time bc it was my first time but every staff member made me feel comfortable and always checked on me was never left waiting noone was rude even all the customers were nice lol will be going back only thing i didnt like is how cold it is in there lmao but very professional staff as well thi was the name of the girl who helped me and made sure i was good the whole time
You gotta wonder about a place that never answers their phone. Like, if they dont even have time to answer their phone (called five times over the course of two hours and let it ring several minutes), they wont have time to actually take my donation so why waste a trip only to be turned away.
If I could give no stars I promise I would. If you have ever been to Grifols you know bad plasma centers. After 2 hours of sitting here waiting Im so tempted to leave. But I need the money. Im here just to collect my 50s and Im gone your lucky if your here for 3 hours

2022-07-07Friendly staff with clean environment. Very professional and convenient for people. I love coming to this location to donate over other Octapharmas. I think the stationary employees should be paid a higher wage also. All the employees here are hard working and have a supportive staff. I highly recommend people coming to this location for plasma donations over any other plasma centers. I appreciate all of the employees here. LA is one employee I feel no pain from pricking at all. Theyre all amazing and achieving employees here.

2022-08-20This was a very smooth process in and out very fast. Stephanie was very nice and make the entire process a breeze. Usually I don’t see a line waiting for screening but there was a small line but Stephanie came in and quickly got all of us screened. By far the best plasma center I’ve been to out of all the centers I’ve visited over the years in Columbus including the other octapharmas. Would give 10 out of 5 if Google allowed me to

2022-09-04The place isnt truly worthy of a one-star rating. It isnt that bad. But there are some serious concerns. Some things that happen there in front of clients that shouldnt be happening. But heed this warning: Be careful of what you post here as it has your name on it and the facility has your name and dont think they dont watch this site. Ive had people tell me what happens to folks once theyve left a poor review and then return to the facility. If Octapharma really cared they would reach out to folks like me and receive not a complaint but an honest discussion about what happens there. At least before the cops show up Ill say that. But Im wasting my breath here. All this does is go to a robot somewhere. Have a nice day.

2022-07-24Great customer service by all staff. A great safe stick in my arm, which enabled me to have a great flow. This allowed my blood plasma donation to be more efficient and completed full donation faster. 🙏🙏

2022-09-03Not impressed with the service of this facility. Most days they have only one person on the floor tending to clients cause employees don’t show up to work. Two employees couldn’t find a vein on me then started moving the needle around inside my arm trying to find a vein and gave me a hematoma. All for a modest fee of $60.

2022-08-06Not a good place to donate they are heavily understaffed. And u can be sitting at the machine for up to 20 minutes before someone comes an actually put u on. And your guaranteed to be hooked up for at least 30-45 after your donation. people come after u get hooked up before you. People finish after get took of before you. Just a terrible experience no organization/ no professionalism. So bad I want to give no stars but it won’t let me

2022-03-24So, based on other reviews left here lead me to believe I would have a bad experience. Everyone I dealt with was extremely nice & professional. I really like the environment much more than I anticipated. If you are going for the first time & reading this, I highly recommend you ask the supervisor by the name of L.A. to stick you. Shes very good at in my experience. They messed up last time & i barely got any plasma out but they took care of it very quickly. I wasnt able to donate & I still got paid. I really appreciated that. Anyways, suggest LA to stick you. Most people in there request her. Make sure your iron is ok(peanut butter helps) & you are hydrated & you shouldnt have any issue getting through the process. Thank you again LA.

2022-05-21It was cool the first couple times but today I donated and afterwards I asked for a replacement card because mines was stolen and it seems like the stuff is upset because I asked for a replacement card…….I overheard them saying to each other “he shouldn’t have lost his card” I just think it’s crazy they blamed me for losing it without actually knowing what happened I’m slowly about to stop donating here…..half the staff is cool and the other half is just rude disrespectful and don’t want to do their job without an attitude when I came into the building two of the staff was arguing…….another thing I found weird was I recently tried to sign up for the octa rewards page and it specifically told me I already created an account but None of my emails or the email linked to my octapharma donor account matches up…..
