The gentleman behind the Information desk was very helpful and knew the trees we were looking for without missing a beat. Thank you for the great customer service.
They have a very nice variety of plants from houseplants, garden flowers/ferns/vines to fruit trees. They also have large garden decor with a raptor statue about 5 high and a large variety of trees and bushes.There is a small greenhouse. Most plants are affordable for their type and size. They sell some bulbs along side pots and soil. Pretty much everything you need is in one place.They also have some crafted items such as soap and candles that are a bit more pricey. Then there are home furnishings in the second building.
We have been going to Oakland Nursery for years. And I would normally give it 4 or 5 stars because of the variety and the customer service. However, I was so excited to purchase an olive tree and after paying a decent amount for a 10, almost every leaf fell off this tree. This plant was covered with leaves and all but one branch had leaves left. This tree was so dry. I tried everything to bring it back, but upon further investigation we noticed that the main stem had been cut. Not really sure why they would cut that part, but this plant didnt stand a chance. Our fault for not noticing before purchasing. I guess I was too excited to finally get one. We are still trying to bring it back. I am just disappointed. I hope others have a better experience.
This place has it all! Plenty of gift ideas for everyone on your list - with or without a green thumb. Staff was courteous and helpful. They even had a few delicious food samples when we were there.
Very nice nursery and home goods shop. My wife was looking for a few items and found plenty of ideas. Staff was friendly and helpful for our successful trip.

Great place to shop for plants or garden pieces. The separation of Oakland and Home store is a little annoying. Its 2 different retail companies and they are very separate on employees, registers, carts and helpfulness. Its like a strip mall, so I get it. You just have to keep it in mind when you shop there. Check out of one before you go to the other.
Bought 10 arborvitae from Oakland last fall. One started showing signs of disease. Called to ask about their warranty and they said they wouldn’t honor it because it was a year and a day and their warrant is one year. I spent $1000 on shrubs and they’re not even willing to work with me on one of them because I called after 366 days instead or 365
Oakland Nursery is great! They have an amazing array of items from food to clothing! So fun to brose! I bought plants too! Staff was so helpful when I couldnt find the plant I was looking for.
Got our Christmas tree again this year from Oakland Nursery in Dublin. People are always very friendly and very helpful. Definitely recommend.

Good plants friendly workers and long lasting items
We chose this company based off reputation, but their customer service is abysmal. A tree order arrived which was incorrect (from other reviews, it happens more often than I would expect). We were simply treated like it was our problem and nothing could be done to rectify their error. The trees we ordered weeks ago were not in stock when our delivery was scheduled..... so they just pulled something “similar”.
Just bought a fountain but was told it was only 20% off. Hmmmmm. Your sign very clearly says 33% to 50% on fountains. But no.
Oakland has been so reliable and on it in the past. I know everyone is short handed now, but even the communication is awful. OOPS never came out and Oakland claimed the form wasnt clear. How can circles on a diagram not be clear? They had WEEKS to clarify with me and get the property marking scheduled. They skipped the first planting and its been more than a month since I purchased my trees. Unreliable and then blame the customer. Complete fail.

Great things to find for any season but possibly some of the worst customer service in Columbus- you ask for help and they look you up and down like you’re not good enough to shop there. Very insulting and disappointing. Didn’t know only a certain “type” of person could shop there.

Nice variety of items, but you have to grab staff if you want any help and, even then, theres an expectation that you already know where everything is in the store and how to grow everything already. I would not recommend it for a gardening beginner.

Great people!! Sandy and the whole crew treated us just FANTASTIC. We brought two pumpkins over for Oakland Nursery to display and all employees treated us great. This covid 19 year allowed us to visit 3 different giant pumpkin weigh offs. Oakland Nursery is far and beyond the best giant pumpkin weigh off. Great people -- thats all I can say.
Oakland Nursery has tons and tons of plants and decor. Basically, if youre looking for it, theres a good chance theyll have it.However, all that selection comes at a price. You can find most of what they have somewhere else and at a better price. Also, I found their employees to be somewhere in the friendly/annoying range as in they were always trying to offer help but were unable to actually answer my questions.Luckily I was just there for the plants.
Great, they had the tri-color butterfly bush I was looking for & it was marked 20% off due to their customer appreciation sale. They are my go to store for gardening.
I went there to look for a tree to replace one downed by storm damage. The only person I can find not a cashier. Was an older gentle in the back at what looks to be a counter for customer to get help. He was on the computer I wait 5 min and he looked at me but not say anything. So I asked if I could ask a questions about trees. He said zure as long as it a 30 sec answer. I thought he was joking. I asked about what the cost cover. He said uh, the tree. I said I mean how about install. He said well thats two questions and no that is 50% more. He said I am asuming u need delivery kinda of upset I was even there. I said yes, he said that is included with the 50% more. And went back to his computer. Not a pleasant person at all. My advise advoid. I tried to ask someone outside, no luck there one guy did not speak English the other said he just work in the back you have to ask inside. Great selection and good price, however I suggest you do your homework and go just for supplies. Help is not there or at least not friendly help.
We found more than we went looking for! Great selection of high quality garden plants, trees, and equipment. Then next door is the decorating shops with a tasteful and unusual, hard to find items!
I have been going to Oakland for decades and always loved the service and selection, but Im done. Ive had two weeks of sitting on hold for 10-20 minutes trying to contact the delivery department. Last week, I scheduled a company to lay mulch which of course was dependent on the delivery arriving before that date. I called to confirm delivery date, which was verbally confirmed. The day of expected delivery, nothing arrived by mid-afternoon so I called to check on it. Dan told me it was scheduled for the following day. So I had to reschedule the help. Then last week, I ordered plants for delivery, and went through the exact same nightmare. I confirmed the delivery date earlier this week, which is critical because I have to go out of town tomorrow, and today, nothing. So I called to check on it, asked for a manager after holding for 10 minutes and having to call back, and Nick got on the phone. He repeatedly told me that the date on the order was tomorrow and also said I dont know what you expect me to do. I explained multiple times that I had the delivery date confirmed by Oakland and I am going out of town. He just repeated his statement. No Im sorry. No solution. I will never do business with Oakland again. Based on their lack of response to other FB reviews, Im guessing they dont care either.
We really enjoyed the variety of the plants, be nice if more staff was around to ask question about some of the more unusual plants. Pubertal we were pleased qayyum will be back

Busy and you may have to wait for staff’s help if you need it, but they have a great selection and are very knowledgeable. The main Oakland has a much larger selection, but the one at Dublin is still sufficient.
Sadly, the cashiers were particularly unfriendly, but the staff with plant expertise were helpful in answering questions, and there is a vast and beautiful plant selection.

Im not sure who runs the lots on Rome Hilliard in Hilliard. We have went here for three years to get our family Christmas tree. This year, the lot seemed to be run by different people. The trees were scarce at best. We dont have a lot of time to go looking and I believe this will be our last year going. The trees out of this lot compared to the trees Ive seen my friends get at timbuck or even Home Depot are far superlative.
Oakland Nursery Home has unique items for the.home. Some vintage, some made with repurposed items as well as a general selection of new things. Always interesting to see what they have. Prices can be a little high but items are generally good quality. Clearance items can be real bargains.
Amazing!I went there to look for indoor plants to keep in my office. I spoke with Annette, who was an amazingly nice, spirited, and enjoyable person--and an incredibly expert gardener! Her knowledge was incredible, and she spoke to my wife and I for a good hour, answering every little question we had, giving all the latin names for the plants, even giving us personal demonstrations of how to do things to take care of the plants we bought, and generally imparting tons of knowledge to us! I hope Oakland gives this woman a raise, because she was great!In other news, the prices were competitive, the plants healthy and beautiful, and the selection large. Great place!
I always enjoy The Home Store. They have the friendliest staff. I had asked about a particular piece, over a year and a half ago and gave my business card. And she called me and told me about it, a year and a half later. THAT my friends IS customer service!!
What a great store, well stocked with many staff around for help or questions. I spent my time in the bulb area getting Asiatic pink lilies and dalhia, as well as seads of old fashioned vining sweet peas, promising to bloom all summer long and brilliant fushia nasturtiums for flower boxes. All seads and bulbs were 30 % off.
Shame on Oakland Nursery. Have bought 4 trees and many other plants there in less than 1 year. One of the trees died. First thing the older gentleman did at the “service” counter was tell me all of the things I MUST have done that violated warranty. Hey Oakland how about you get some facts first and figure how to best resolve the situation. Last plant purchased there.

Stopped by the Dublin store to get some of their $1.99 hardwood mulch that wasis advertised on their website. I wanted black however to my surprise only the brown mulch is $1.99 although the ad doesnt indicate brown only???The kicker of this is when questioned the manager said black mulch even though hardwoon isnt hardwood because it is died???Some might consider this bait and switch.I guess i will stick with straters and the big box stores

Huge selection of almost any plant you can imagine and tons of decor as well. Only thing keeping them from 5 stars is the high prices, and 75% higher on everything when compared to stores like Wal-Mart or Lowes for like plants or decor. Also I was hoping for a Serrano pepper plant and they had about 10 varieties of hot peppers but not these.

My wife and I needed to plant a lot in front of our house but were overwhelmed by how to start. We saw a very enthusiastic woman walking a couple through their project and knew we had to enlist her help. Once she finished with the first couple, we asked to use her service.We showed the employee, Hazel, a picture of the space we had to work with and the dimensions of the land. She worked with us for half an hour, taking us through different parts of the store trying to give us different recommendations. Her joy and knowledge of the topic made it fun and relaxing for us. We are appreciative and happy of all the good service we got at this location!!
Mr. Gustav Reiner, I watched and witnessed Holly and Cynthia discriminate & public humiliate against an elderly lady yesterday at this location!! Very unprofessional and unacceptable behavior by Oakland nursery employees! There clearly needs to be more done so no one EVER has to encounter this type of harassment in the future!!! I own and operate two assisted living businesses and this is absolutely no way to treat our elderly. Your employees need to learn to have some respect and decency for those whom have fought for this country and put there lives on the line for our freedom. This is absolutely no way to treat your community members!!! FYI.... I WOULD GIVE NO STAR IF POSSIBLE!
I bought some plants from the Dublin store, they looked a little dry at the time but I bought it anyway because I fell in love with the color. At the time, I asked the register operator if these are exchanged if they die, she said yes. Latter within a month when I took the plant with the tag to get it exchange, the manager in a very rude tone said, No exchange, water your plants well next time. the manager have a very bad attitude towards the customer..I am very disappointed . few years back a similar situation happen with my tree. They do not like returns or exchange, they policy is very deceiving. No more Oakland nursery for me.
I purchased 2 trees and had them delivered and planted. They did a fantastic job! I would def recommend Oakland Dublin.
Wonderful selection and knowledgeable staff! Of course not everyone knows everything but if they do not have the answer they will ask others for help. Big box stores have nothing on oakland nursery over all buying experience.

Showed up at the Dublin location to enjoy some shopping but had to leave immediately after arriving. My visit was SPOILED by the OVERWHELMING smell of burning wood on site. Not everyone enjoys the smell of a fire pit. Guess I wont be making any purchases at the nursery while it smells like burning trash.

Every time we have gone in, the staff does not speak to us at all. They just stare as we walk around. My parents have just recently redone their house and are always looking for new furniture/accents and refuse to buy from here because the staff is so rude. This has not happened just one time, but multiple times in the past couple of months. They will walk right by and not even say hi.
So unprofessional! And rude manager!! I got 6 trees from the Dublin granville location. I gave the worker a list of trees and the size for it so it meets Dublin city requirements. And my first word was 2 trees!! He picked up the trees and my landscaping guy came to pick them up. After planting the trees the city of Dublin came and disapproved the trees cuz it was 1 !!! I called them back and said your guy gave me the wrong sizes so they transfer me to thier general manager Mike and the min I start talking he said no you didnt say 2!! I said yes I did and this was my first word plus your guy was holding the paper and has the info so he said no not true!! I told him why you think 100% hes right not me.. so he said because I know!! Seriously... so he started to talk in a mean way and yelling!! He treated me like a small kid not like a customer!! Then I said ok will return the trees since u have return policy, he said no you exchange only so I said since you have a full refund policy I want to return he refused and made me get a voucher to buy from them again. When we went to choose the bigger size he said we dont have your size here!! Go get it from other location!!! He was so rude and doesnt know what is customer satisfaction!!!

This place is HUGE. The Home Store (there are TWO) has so many beautiful and creative things... and thats before you even get to the garden area with all its plant product!
We went in today for help on a DIY project and the associates made us feel like idiots. We told them the project and instead of helping us, they told us what we could do instead. If they don’t want to help us, that’s fine, we’ll go somewhere else to spend our money.
I can spend all day in there , one of the best in the area if not the best. I have been looking for a plant and I found it there . Not only plants, trees but also all kind of gardening supplies .and outdoor furniture. Just love there

Just had a tree planted by Oakland Nursery. They gave me a flag to indicate where to place the tree which I used and I also marked my dog fence line. They just shoveled right in and cut the Line! When I called about it they said they werent responsible and isnt there someone who can splice it for me? Yes! For a fee! Poor customer service!!! A moment of care could have prevented this problem and the added cost to me! PB

The Management are very Rude,Specifically the old man Mike. They just care about selling thier plants but when it comes to customers satisfaction,, they dont care about how customers feel specifically when their workers make the mistake and Management refuse to admit it .I dont recommend getting things from that store
Highest quality plant materials and gardening products at decent prices, but it is the professional advice that cannot be found at big box stores that keeps me as a regular customer.
Plants here are healthy and beautiful. Employees are knowledgeable and helpful---although it may be hard to find one. This is my go-to place for flowers and vegetables.

2022-07-29I’ve been consistently impressed with this Oakland, especially the variety of native perennials and trees. Brandon in the perennial department stocks some really exquisite varieties that you won’t find at other local nurseries, and makes it worthwhile to come back throughout the season to see what’s new in stock! Some of our favorite plants on our property have come from this store.

2022-05-17I’ve never written a review, but my experiences at this nursery have been repeatedly disappointing. A few mistakes can easily be overlooked, but multiple mistakes during every visit recently and bad customer service made me want to write this review. After buying our plants here for years, we will no longer be using this nursery for future purchases.It seems like the employees at this store can’t agree on pricing, plant warranties, and plant knowledge. Which makes it a confusing and frustrating process to be able to choose plants. They’ve billed us incorrectly on almost every visit.We bought an expensive plant last summer. We double checked with two employees at the register about the plant, to confirm that it was a perennial, could be planted outside in Ohio as a perennial, and that there was a 1year warranty on the plant in the case that it didn’t grow back. They both reassured us about the plant being a perennial, being able to grow back outside in Ohio, and the 1year warranty, so we bought the plant.Surprisingly, it did not grow back this year, and we wanted to exchange the plant. We brought the plant, the receipt, tag, and the warranty sheet we were given last year. They told us the warranty was actually 30 days and that it shouldn’t be planted outside so they couldn’t exchange the plant. This was frustrating, considering it was employees from the same store that reassured us about the plant and it’s warranty. They didn’t offer any portion of a discount for a new plant or refund, even though their employees made a mistake when giving us information about the plant and warranty. We wouldn’t have bought the plant otherwise or would have kept it in the house if we were given proper information about the plant. Really bad customer service, especially after a a mistake from two of their employees. We asked more than one employee about this information last year to avoid this exact situation.It’s just disappointing and frustrating. I don’t recommend this nursery, there are other nurseries nearby with better customer service, environment, and selection.

2022-04-14Very bad customer service expirience. Their driver did damage to my property then they tried to say that they had not and I was lying. $80 brown tree, when walmart has the same one green and lush for $30. Also bought tan sand and it was the color of mud. Everyones in a bad mood there and not wanting to hear your concerns, let alone fix them so that the next customer doesnt have the same problem. Ive been a regular customer there and my most recent order was $3500. Usually i dont leave negative posts, but these issues dragged on for so long and they disrespected me so many times that i had to leave this. If you must order from them, dont buy online. Go into the store and look at what you are getting before you order... and expect an attitude if you have a problem with it.
