To be honest this is a very enteractive place to be. It may be crowded parking but they are reasonable rent prices here and storage to rent. i never had a problem here at all in my apartment. the only problem is parking situation which is manageable sometimes. A place i call home.
Worst experience with the management . The apartment I lived was owned by a private owner and leasing office doesn’t deal with any issues w.r.t the complaints. Struggled with a disturbing neighbor for more than an year and when complained to the owner,he simply told that they have been living for 2+ years and had no complaints and in turn asked us not to disturb them. Every single thing we requested for had only 1 answer-NO. During winter, snow is everywhere and was never cleaned.Overall pathetic apartment and wouldn’t advice anybody to rent the apartments here, especially not the privately owned.
You literally can not find another place a better deal than this neighborhood! It has the perfect location. Polaris, Costco, and other chains are all less than one mile away from here! It’s safe (school district) and quite! I never heard anything from my neighbors ever! Strongly recommend!
I have been living at the Residences at Northpark Place, managed by Ardent Communities, for close to a year.I must say that I have had little to complain about in that time. Yes, parking can get tight when occupancy is near full. Yes, some residents can be a bit loud at times. But this is apartment living and should be expected. The few times I have had need of the management or maintenance team, they have been efficient, professional and friendly. The property is well maintained and the residents are cordial.I would like to thank Annie and Krystin for making my move in seamless and welcoming also thanks to Kate for making my move out as painless as possible.
My roommate and i have been living here for a few weeks! Super friendly staff and the move in process was super quick and easy. Pretty easy to get through to them by phone. Nice properties and nice apartments. Only complaints in the drainage on the property. When it rains the roads flood really bad and there’s not a crazy amount of parking. Other than that I’m super happy with the apartments and they’re affordable!
I was NEVER refunded my deposit after I cleaned the apartment immaculately and tried to contact the office they said it was owned by some by someone else named Lou and not actually Ardent. Beware of this and don’t make the same mistake I did. They never gave me my money deposit back after I moved out. Don’t recommend. Look someplace else that will treat you fairly. Literally no where to park if you live toward to back of the complex, kids running around in the parking lot, very cramped and overpriced for what you get in the apartment.
I lived in Northpark Place for 4 years until I had to move out due to work relocation. There are two parties who are renting the same complex a person named Lou and Ardent Communities.I recommend anyone to lease Ardent Communities who has an actual office on the property they are very professional and helpful. The other person does not have an office and will rush you to sign documents, and does not answer the phone beware of that. And there are two phases where 2nd phase has got ample parking and 1st phase lacks parking. Utilities are little pricey compared to my friends in other communities still Im giving 5 stars because of the friendliness of the staff and it worth for what you pay for.I had to break my lease and which was handled in a very professional manner. I did get the deposit back.
Don’t recommend if you care about hygiene. Mold in the window seals that can’t be taken care of. went three weeks with no hot water and the maintenance came out and fixed nothing several times before it was finally resolved. any maintenance request has been just to put a band aid over the issue and not actually fix it. neighbors around leaving trash everywhere and other neighbors getting blamed for it. not worth the money you’re spending every month here.
I would give zero stars if possible. This is the worst apartment I have ever lived in. You can hear every single noise in every apartment near you. These apartments are very poorly made. Ive lived here less than a month and my shower door has stopped closing, my dishwasher backs up into the sink and the garbage disposal doesnt work. There are so few parking spots here that people will park behind you and block you in. There are times when I have to park four building away. Which would be fine if its not pouring rain or you have to carry things into your apartment. They also do not plow or treat the parking lot when it snows. Its always dangerous and difficult to manage. There is one dumpster for 8 apartment buildings so it is always over flowing and absolutely disgusting. Also management is so rude. They have major attitudes with everyone for no reason. You cant ask questions or even be in the clubhouse around them without getting attitude from them, thats if you can get them to pay attention to you.If you want to be happy where you live you should run as far away from this place as possible! I hate this place and I bet you would too!
Management, can you address the water drainage issues around the complex? Whenever it rains, theres a veritable lake outside the entrance (Polaris Lakes Drive & Carylake Circle) that every resident is forced to drive through. For this reason alone, I would reconsider living here. For those interested in renting, come on a rainy day and youll see what a mess it can be. Youll want to pass touring on a snowy day for your own safety.
Me and my husband lived in Northpark Place phase 2 which is 4-5 years old for 6 months in 1 bed 1 bath apartment. I heard that Phase 1 are old and have more complaints. In these 6 months we did not have any maintenance issues. The space is very well sufficient for two of us. It is quiet and no sound from other apartments. All the appliances are in good shape and I loved the size of living room and bedroom. We got a bad wornout carpet but now it is replaced after we moved out.So I advice to check your moving apartment personally before signing the lease. The power bill will be around 100$ for normal usage and water bill will be around 30-40$.No other charges for trash or community fee.The gym is too small and I dont even call that a gym which has two threadmills and two ellipticals.I liked the floor plan for this 1 bedroom apartment which has a coats closet, kitchen pantry, laundry room, big size bedroom and living room and patio.Dining space is sufficient for a round table and 4 chairs. However the management is not that friendly and I heard that they charge for every maintenance issue from our pocket but thankfully we didnot get any maintenance issue. Overall this phase 2 is a good place to live.
First off, the utilities sub metered from the property itself under a pseudo companies (American Power and Light and Columbus Water Systems) and you will get ripped off by both. Expect to pay 2-3x as much as AEP rates for electic and you get to pay for the common area usage as well. Your water is averaged by the total use for the complex..so thank your neighbor for taking the 30 minute showers when you pay your bill. Complex is very noisy with children running around unsupervised and avoid renting by the pool area if you want to avoid being awoken at all hours by people partying at the pool. Also, there have been several cars broken into during warm weather months over the past year, so be warned to keep your doors locked and valuable inside.Apartments themselves are generally OK, owing to the age of the complex. Washer and dryer hookups in the units is a nice plus. In a few years they will be less than average I believe. Very vanilla floor plans and Ardent is building a bunch of these units all over the city. The stairwells look like they were build by day labor and creak under any load you take up them. Trash is collected at a single compactor which, depending on the week and holidays, is often overflowing with bags being placed all over the place and bulk items set out in an unsightly arrangement.Location provides convenient access to I-71 and the Polaris mall and it is in the Olentangy School District. Seems to me there are a lot of families living there that have somebody working at Chase nearby, which along with the school district makes sense to all the children running around. Be careful driving through as you never know when a child will run or ride their bike in front of you.Never had too much of an issue with the on site staff, although I can tell you that they constantly have new people in there all the time.Moving out was a shocker, as I thought I left the place in good condition minus some issues related to my cats, and got stuck with a $1200 bill for new carpeting...yet when I moved in I was told that they replaced carpeting for all new leases as part of their turn over process. Interesting...Overall, I would avoid this place...plenty of other properties in the area.
I have already renewed my lease once, and absolutely love living here. The Manager Marcie is the sweetest! The maintenance staff goes above and beyond. My Shih Tzu once escaped while i was at work, since I hadn’t shut the patio door properly( the patios are all gated, my dog managed to squeeze through). The maintenance gentleman chased him to the end of the complex, returned him to my apartment and made sure all my doors were secure! The office then took the time to call and let me know so I wouldn’t have to leave work and rush home. I also need to mention the fantastic resident manager- he goes out of his way to be friendly and to check-in make sure everything is going well. I recently switched jobs and actually work for a different property management company, so if anything I’m even more critical than the typical renter. I highly reccommend Northpark Place to anyone wanting to move into the Polaris/ Olentangy school district area.
Apartments are new but not really worth of the rent being charged. Electricity bills are usually higher than Other apartment complexes as they use some other private vendor than AEP. I have stayed here two years, and i don’t have any complaints about the community or management.
I lived here for almost 1 year and good community. Maintenance staff is polite and friendly. As soon as complained about whether mold in the leasing office Maintenance staff member TOMMY arrived with the cleaner and he cleaned up everything and Tommy fixed the closet doors also as per the complaint.Appreciate Tommy very much for his great help and speed work and friendly nature. And Marcie at leasing office is wonderful & friendly and taken care of all the complaints and issues and acted in time.
DO NOT RENT HERE!! If I could give zero stars, I would. We lived here for two years and are great, responsible, CLEAN tenants. Once climbed the stairs to my floor to find a shopping bag full of literal baby or dog feces in front of someones door which stayed there until I reported it. All they did was take a picture of it and leave it. They also threw away one of two rent checks and put an eviction notice on our door until they admitted their mistake. Now we moved out and theyre falsifying over $1000 worth of charges (carpet - ok, but we literally SCRUBBED the place on hands and knees). Cant get ahold of customer service with turnover, and when you do, they have the worst attitudes with you on the phone. This place will make you think everything is nice and dandy, but will screw you when you leave, even if youre a respectful tenant. They have no shame.
One of the worst community to live in dont go by the low price being shown by them , when you sign lease, go through there document, they have so many hidden ways to charge, that you will think, why you joined here. Like clause 6 in lease agreement, which talks about they will charge you for exterminating of pests, and for every small problem you may have in yours apartment they have a rate list also for same. The worst thing is there pest management company, EPM they will force you to get treatment done, even when no issue is there, and charge you for that, management here is not there to listen to you.they just dont listen.
Were supposed to see an apartment on Friday the 25th at 12:30. I sent it and it said it was fine I got out of therapy went straight there. The lady that was standing outside said that since I didnt confirm which I thought we had a confirm appointment I wasnt allowed to see one she had somebody else take my spot. I drove 30 minutes just to get to this place to see this apartment I need one ASAP and then wasnt even allowed to see one. I wont be replying or going back either I think that was rude
This place doesnt have a bike parking place, and the management doesnt allow to park the bikes in the common area under the stairs; no one able to use this space. The tenants have to place the bikes either in their unit or lease a garage which costs an additional $100/month.They dont care about guests parking in reserved parking spots without parking tags; even though I have a parking tag but almost every day I have to park in the guest parking as I work late.
I never hated an apartment so much. If you are looking for an apartment here, I would strongly recommend to look for any other place but not this. Such a poor construction, you can literally hear even a pin drop sound from your upstairs tenant. The management is so pathetic, will offer you to move to different house, instead of correcting the mistake. Unpleasant experience.
I live in NorthPark Place Aparments from March 2017 and plan to be here till April 2018. Below is my experience with this place so far and the reason for my bad review. The reason I picked Northpark was because its reasonable price, availability and location. I was not really impressed with the apartment itself but I already knew that I would only be here for a short time.Lack of Privacy: 3 inspections in 8 months! My bad experience started within 2 months of moving in. I was inspected for a general inspection and without any reason.See full review on FB. there is a lot more negative.
AVOID DFS Properties and these guys, serious, they only return a call if it’s regarding their $$$$$$. I tried to get a garage, left multiple massages with no RESPECT OF A RETURN CALL, had to get a uhaul If anything go through NorthPark leasing office!!! But, I strongly do not recommend at all, you are LOCKED INTO AT&T , you do not have a choice of internet or cable, it may take months to get service , and it goes down alllllll the time, then you have to call off work to be there so they can fix there mistakes over and over. To get on I 71 (The Only way in and out) Polaris Parkway or Gemini is stand still traffic everyday. Dont do itI’m a 10 Year US Navy Vet, truth about this place.
So I never lived there but just by the tour I would never want to. We toured the apartment along with 5 others last Thursday (today is wednesday) and they have called us everyday since! I think its extremely bothersome to be called and pushed on to an apartment that isnt that great. They are completely overpriced for what they offer. During the tour I kept feeling as if she was trying to talk us out of things that we wanted in our apartment like a balcony just because they over charge. Then we get back to the club house and the office manager Tina comes out of the office and was very aggressive and off putting, grilling us on how we liked it, what we didnt like, if it was better than other places weve seen. basically sealed the deal that we wouldnt want to stay there. Maybe if they backed off someone would sign a lease.
Current resident and over the last two years Ive lived here the rent has went up so now the people who do not live in the apartments with patios/balconies are paying close to $1000 a month for rent with nothing to show for it cause the only thing here is the swimming pool so kids in the complex have nowhere to play so they play in the streets and then when theyre seen doing that they get told to go play somewhere else. Then here over the last few months we have been experiencing bug problems starting with ants then going to centipedes needless to say when we get the chance we are moving and I would never recommend this place to anyone which is sad cause when we first moved in this place was great but i dont know what happened.
If you like seeing dog poop everywhere this is the place for you. Management does nothing! They dont clean it up or enforce rules! They want you to take pictures...Ummm, no..Its awful and the property is not kept clean...Trifiling. They do not deserve a star...more like negative stars.
Dont move here unless-*Cockroaches dont bother you*Gunfire is OK with you*Parking 2 buildings away and walking in the dark/rain/cold/snow is enjoyable to you*Loud TVs are normal for you*Being awakened in the middle of the night by wild loud parties once a month sounds like fun*Seeing up to a dozen people living in one apartment doesnt seem odd*People stomping up and down the stairs and slamming doors so hard the walls shake is normal*Seeing huge piles of trash piled outside of the trash container is OK with you*You love the smell of cigarette smoke filling up your apartment when you open the sliding doorJust a heads up that I wish I had before we made the mistake of moving to Northpark Place!

2022-05-12DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Lou and Vince SUCK they do not care about their residents! They will never answer your calls. They never answer any form of communication as a matter of fact. They attempt to charge you for things like fixing a clogged drain or tub! By far the worst property management I have EVER witnessed in my 30 years of life!! Please be aware of renting from Vince or Lou save yourself time and money by moving someplace else. You have been warned!

2022-04-08I’ve lived here for a couple months now and it’s been okay other than neighbors not taking there trash out and people not knowing how to park! but i will say they do work on apartments way to early into the morning at around 8 o’clock when it would be more convenient if it was later in the afternoon. i have a baby in my household so it’s very inconvenient when all you hear is pounding at 8 in the morning.

2022-06-07Unattended children everywhere. They refuse to enforce parking and are dismissive of complaints. Forget about parking anywhere near your building in the evening. They charge luxury prices for a basic apartment. The pet damage is extraordinary and unfixed when I moved in. Ghetto

2021-12-17My husband and I just moved in here and so far it has been great! A very peaceful, albeit busy, five days. Symarra helped us get a tour of an open apartment when we first stopped by to see what the available spaces looked like, and she was so kind and helpful. Thank you for everything you do, Symarra!!!! Northpark Place is 100% blessed to have you :)

2022-04-29You would think for the amount of rent you pay here they would at least fix all the potholes throughout the apartment complex ….. it suck’s driving to work everyday and you gotta be extra cautious where your wheels are going on the roads they won’t fix on there property

2021-12-24BEWARE THERE IS A MOLD ISSUE AND POSSIBLE FOUNDATION PROBLEMS IN THESE APARTMENTS. I lived at Northpark Place for 5 years and this past summer noticed mold was EVERYWHERE in my apartment. I called the property manager and after getting the run around for weeks and having most of my belongings damaged from the mold we had no choice but to move and they paid for none of our moving costs or testing of the mold!! They said they wouldn’t cover the cost of the damage because my air filter hadn’t been changed in 5 months despite multiple mold remediation companies stating that was very unlikely to be the root of the issue and it was more likely to be a cracked foundation!! I passed that information on and still got nothing and I’m sure they painted and moved someone else into that unit anyways.

2022-04-11Very clean and quiet. The roads are a little nervewracking though when you go around because you cant see other cars very well.

2021-03-01Been here for almost 3 years. The staff specifically the management are very rude. Bad experiences. Our neighbors putting their trash, cigarette buts and furniture on my area. And the staff kept giving us notice about trash and furniture notice to removed it. Its just unacceptable behavior. People needs to respect your neighbors period. Our first floor unit windows are all full of molds and they cant do anything about it. Just cant stay here any longer. I will no longer recommend this apartment again ever.
