We LOVED this cute, relaxing brewery! My boyfriend and I made a weekend trip to Cleveland to visit some breweries for his birthday, this was one of our favorites! The service was wonderful, very kind staff! The beers were FANTASTIC! The food was very delicious too and came out in a timely manner! We can’t wait to come back, thank you all!
Visited the aquarium and wanted to walk and eat somewhere close. It was below freezing outside. We arent from the area and the 2 places we wanted to eat at were either inaccessible due to road work or closed. (Thanks Google maps 🙄) But finally arrived here, as it was our last effort. We hit a gold mine here. Third time was the charm. This place is amazing. Our waitress was so awesome. Food was phenomenal (garlic wings & tacos) and the beer was too. Next time I come to Cleveland, this is the first place Im going to visit. Thanks guys!!
Ive been a few times since theyve opened. Food is good (7/10) beer is good (7-8/10) service can be hit or miss depending on server/day. Would like to bring this review to 4 stars but we recently went for brunch and it was a poor experience. Fried chicken and waffles were entirely overcooked, choice of eggs for a dish came out wrong, and one order of the breakfast hash was asked to be made without meat to accommodate a dietary restriction(there was only 1 ingredient listed with meat for the item). When it came out it had meat in it so we asked for it to be remade since the person who ordered it couldnt eat the meal. When the server came back with new plate, they accused us of lying and said that we had mistaken the meat for tomatoes- this really rubbed our table wrong as we tasted a bite to confirm if it was meat before sending it back. After this instance Im not inclined to return to this restaurant.
Second time going in a years span. Servers were way better this time and the guy at the front was extremely nice! That being said, food took a long long time, as it did a year ago when I visited. Seemed like a kitchen issue but nowadays I always give the staff the benefit of the doubt no matter what.Tacos were not warm so thats why Im leaving a 3/5. Ill be back tho!
10/10! This place was amazing and the team there really blew my expectations. We pre-ordered food off the catering menu and drinks were out before the table had finished ordering. Great team and amazing addition to this up and coming area! Mike the GM was super helpful and easy to work with!
Great playlist, including Brittany and Glass Animals. Server was friendly and personable. Beer selection included a lot of light beers and IPAs; interesting selection with some fruity twists including a seasonal cucumber blonde ale and a grapefruit beer. We both got tacos, bbq jackfruit and Nashville chicken. Wish there was a happy hour!
Saturday 10/23 - love it here. My mother loved her Old Fashioned, the beer was great, and everyone has been so friendly! Beautiful space, great menu options, and the people make this place - unbelievably welcoming. Kelly was our server, and was genuinely beyond attentive, kind and professional. Love it!
My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday for the first time and we had a great experience from the moment we walked in. The host complimented us and we were sat right away. The service was quick and friendly. We shared 2 flights, both of which were fantastic, and had a short wait time for food. The flatbreads were phenomenal and the buckeye pie was a nice finish. All the staff was very kind and attentive and we will definitely be back again! Thank you!
Walked in at 7 pm. After getting our drinks in a plastic cup a waitress did not come back for another 50 minutes. She had zero interest in serving our table so we finally got up and left. Mind you I have never walked out of a restaurant. The only bright spot was the hostess who was very sweet
While I am willing to give this place another try, my experience was less than stellar. The atmosphere was great and the bartender was pretty cool too. My food (the high fries), fried pickles, and bowl were all cold. The cheese was barely melted on the fries and the pickles werent really fried hard. My beer flight was a little wonky as I asked for all IPAs and received some other items instead. Perhaps this was just an off night but I would be reticent to go back.
Beer was excellent and the food top notch. One of my tricks when eating someplace Ive never been before is to order the signature meal, the one with the name of the restaurant on it. I got the North High Chicken Sandwich, and wow it was tasty! The breading has a bit of spicy heat which I loved.
Came here with my coworkers and we really enjoyed it! We had a large group of about 12 and our server was very attentive and made sure our drinks were never empty. The beer flight was worth it and every beer we tasted was great (highly recommend the pear seltzer). Definitely coming back to try some of their larger plates!
The beer was good and they had a solid mixed drinks list, so you can come here with the friend who doesnt like beer. Great food, with excellent vegetarian options - not something I can say of every brewery in this city. Very attentive staff. Small parking lot right in front. Will definitely be back.
While they didnt have an extremely varied tap list, the focus on seasonals gave us a good variety of brews that were appropriate for the weather. We just happened to show up for taco Tuesday and the quality, flavor, and portions were quite pleasing. We also had some very disappointing deviled eggs, so Id stay clear of those but overall I would definitely recommend and plan to go back soon.
I’m excited for the neighborhood but I feel this place needs some work. The positives. They did a great job with the space. Bright, modern, welcoming vibe. You get a spectacular downtown skyline view if you sit at the bar. The beers are solid. Love the cucumber crop. The menu is great. Flatbreads good. Nash hot tacos and chicken sandwich are awesome. I’d give the kitchen staff a B+ for consistency and quality. The negatives. Service seems to be uneven. I’ve had the same waitress serve our table on two occasions and not crack a smile once. She made us feel unwelcome. She clearly didn’t know the menu and it was torture just to place a simple order. We did have a positive experience with Brie. She was on point and made the experience great. We waited a looong time for drinks on numerous trips. The bar seems to get backed up easy when making cocktail flights. The handful of times sitting at the bar noticed some bartenders willing to go the extra mile and others looking as if they don’t even know we are there. There seems to be a bad fly situation at the bar as well. Noticed them all over due to the soda syrup system exposed to the bar area. It does get loud in here because management seems to turn up the volume after 5pm. Doesn’t bother me, but could be a problem for families with young children.I think NH is worth checking out. Just don’t expect it to be perfect. Hopefully they find a staffing groove, and adjust a few things.
I went on the Grand Opening and the everything was top notch!! The service was great and the food was amazing. I went back again last night....Not so much!It took almost 30 minutes to get cocktails at our table. The poor server apologized and explained she was waiting on the bartender to make them. I looked inside and he was staring at the TV!!They were out of the first 2 things I wanted to order off the menu. There were no paper towels in the mens room.Over all, I really like this place and hope it does well. I will be back and hope to have the same experience I did the first time around so I can come back and give 5 stars!Best of Luck!
Service and atmosphere were great. Drinks were good. Was disappointed with my food. I ordered the fries and substituted for the tots for a dollar upcharge. I wish they would have mentioned they were sweet potato tots, not regular tater tots. Which were not good with the savory toppings. If I had known, I would have saved my dollar and stuck with the fries. I ended up giving it to my fiance, who also didnt like it, but he wont waste food. So he ate it. Definitely recommend adding the words sweet potato in front of your tots so people know exactly what theyre ordering. Other than that my friends and I enjoyed our visit and would return in the future. The flatbread pizza looked good and multiple friends said they enjoyed theirs.
As an avid brew traveler and connoisseur of craft beers, I was excited to try North High. I had heard a lot of good things from my friends in Columbus about this brewery. On my first attempt to patronize this establishment I was told I had missed last call even though the hours say they were open until 1 and it was only 11:45. Upon my second attempt to visit this establishment and imbibe some fine craft beers I thought it wise to arrive earlier than last time. I thought entering the establishment at 11pm would be plenty of time to try a few beers, unfortunately to my dismay I was told it was already last call and I would only have time to quaff one beer. Again I was shocked as the hours clearly state the Business is open until 1 am. Undeterred, I asked to see the draft list. I was flabbergasted to see that a brewery with multiple locations only offers 5 libations on draught. Clearly this is an offense to taste and decency. What reputable brewery only offers its patrons 5 lowly choices of beer? I recommend, to any fellow brew traveler who has read this far, that visiting this poor excuse for a brewery will be a mistake that should be avoided. There are plenty of breweries in this area that are worth spending your hard earned time and money at. This is not one of them. Hopefully, fortuna will close this business down and someone who has a clue how to run a brewery will take over this great space. This is an ideal location for a brewery that actually wants to sell beer and cater to the beer drinking crowd!
Meh. Went here for dinner and everything was just so so. Beer was obviously the best part. The cocktail I got (strawberry sage margarita) was not good at all though. I dont think it had any alcohol in it and it kinda had a funky taste. The Food was just ok. The music was ridiculously loud like couldnt even hear my sister who was right across the table from me. And they lyrics were absolutely not family friendly. Also the patio is in a parking lot sooooo... Nothing special there. I wouldnt bother with this place. So many better places to go in the area.
What a great addition to the neighborhood! The place has an all around great vibe. Great music and a nice open layout. Tony and Olive made great suggestions behind the bar and were very friendly. The food menu has a great variety and I look forward to trying a lot more.
The beer is good for the area, I think better than Bad Tom Smith, on par with Book house, but no Saucy...The food selection is really good and blows away what Saucy offers in terms of variety.Good food, good beer, decent patio and nice staff, makes it definitely worth visiting
Didnt get to actually try anything. Was looking forward to it for day drinks and lunch, but walked into 2 customers sitting at laptops, hogging up the whole bar. Rest of the place was empty and we just dont sit at tables when we go out. We also were not greeted for the couple minutes we stood there contemplating what to do.

2022-01-14I didnt know this place existed until I happened to discover it by chance last week whilst driving down Detroit Avenue. Some friends and I paid it a visit last night and the experience was definitely memorable.First and foremost, the brewery itself is gorgeous with a clash of modern and industrial design themes throughout. Very hip and trendy with colors in all the right places to contrast with the grays and blacks. There is a large space with places for lounging as well as video games and an ice hockey table game! It also has a somewhat smallish bar and many more tables scattered throughout the main dining area. I also spotted some 4 legged friends walking around, so this place is definitely dog friendly. The beer was fantastic. Ordered their west coast IPA as well as a Hazy IPA infused with pineapple. Both were delicious. The food is what impressed me the most, which is ironic as usually the food is just an addendum to the beer. We all ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and the opinion was unanimous..these were the best weve ever tasted. Also had some wings with the wasabi teriyaki sauce. The sauce was lacking in the wasabi department but the wings were fantastic. If I had a list of places with the best Brussels Sprouts, this place would be on the top of that list.In conclusion, this place is not only worth your time, but it would be a crime for you NOT to go. Drive over, stuff your face and your belly, rinse, repeat. You will leave fat and happy.

2021-12-12My partner and I live close by and so we wanted to check out this place. We were blown away by how good it was.First we ordered the pickle chips. They were surprising good. Most places would just deep fry generic pickles from a jar. This place obviously makes their own pickles. The thinness of them made them perfect. For dinner, we asked our waitress what to get. She recommended the North High chicken sandwich, the West coast chicken platter, and the Ahi tuna taco. My partner ordered the North High Chicken sandwich with sweet potato tots, and I ordered the taco with the ahi tuna blackened. They were both super delicious. Highly recommend them. For our first round of drinks I ordered the shandy and my partner ordered the flannel cider. Unfortunately they were out of flannel cider. They did sub it with El Chavo cider which had a bit of a kick to it. It is good if you like your cider to have a kick, I do not and my partner doesn’t like mangos. The next cider we got was the Grizzly pear cider. It was very good. Our next round of drinks I got the Cucumber Crop and my partner got the Blackberry Mint Lemonade. I really enjoyed the Cucumber Crop. The cucumber taste was very strong and masked the beer taste. My partner really enjoyed his cocktail, though when I had it, it tasted strongly of Bourbon.

2022-01-04Great atmosphere, nice view of the city. Tons of craft beer choices. Small food menu but that helps keep the quality up. I got a flight and the tacos. I subed chicken for the shrimp (my companion does not do seafood), the meat was tender, salsa just the right heat! Will Def return!

2022-04-03I could not have asked for a better space and view of the skyline. The food is so fresh and different than other breweries and restaurants around town. Staff is 10/10 - knowledgeable and hilarious. Felt so comfortable and THAT BEER! Best around. Can’t say enough praise about the whole experience. Try the ahi tuna tacos (blackened), THOSE WINGS (BBQ), margarita flatbread, and get that nookie dessert!!! Ask for two spoons. You can’t miss out on this place.

2022-02-15First time visiting here, and wasnt overly wowed by much of anything. Host at the front desk barely said two words to us as he sat us in an awkward seating arrangement of chairs, and a sofa. The sofa made you sit down so low your chin was practically at the table height... So its obvious no measurements were taken to properly provide comfortable, and ergonomic seating meant for actually dining.. Also there appeared to be no heat, it was freezing in there, and I had to wear my coat the whole time. We ordered dry ranch wings as an appetizer, burger, and pot roast for dinner. Wings were hot, crispy and delicious but could of used a bit more butter to balance out the overly powdered dry rub. Burger was okay, the sauce on it was actually really delicious, fries were pretty good but not overly special at all, and the pot roast was actually really tender and tasty, but the rice and green beans that came with it tasted like something out of a can and werent very hot at all. Overall, I wasnt wowed by anything, so probably wont return, as I feel there are better options for that type of food, and probably a little cheaper. Has potential, but I think they need to work some things out.

2022-03-28In short: Good food, good beer, chill atmosphere, but incredibly slow service. My experience was over 3 hours for apps, pizza, and dessert. Then waiting over 30min for the check just to have to walk to the server stand and get any random employee to let us pay and leave. Not that anyone wouldve even noticed if we didnt. It was good, but not worth the amount of time spent there.

2022-06-26I had a very good beer on a hot Saturday afternoon. I drank a pale ale named Five. Great location, atmosphere and wait staff. Limited (and tight) parking lot on the premises. But, I was in and out with no problem. I didnt eat but dishes looked appetizing. Great chill spot. I will return.

2022-04-04Me and my friends stopped in for brunch. The vibe is awesome at this place the music was on point, the service was the best part we didn’t have to wait long for anything and the chicken and waffles are killer. We ordered cocktail flights and the flights were the best. All together I would say this place is a 10/10. We will be back soon.
