Havent visited this place yet. I called them to see if they could take a look at my sick chamelon but they dont see reptiles. Wish they would see reptiles because my chameleon sadly past away from a breeder who didnt care about taking care of chamelons. I had her only for a few weeks
I recommend the Nile’s Vet Clinic above any and all other vet clinics. I’ve been a client for over 6 years now and refuse to take my animals anywhere else. Even when I was away for college I still drove the hour home any time one of my babies needed something. I had a kitten who broke his leg while I was in college and Dr Courtney and the rest of the staff(especially our girl aunt Carol) were all absolute angels and I don’t know where I’d be without them. Louis, Gizmo, Rue, Lilith, and I all love you so much
Our furbaby Chloe had a terrible accident and became paralyzed from the middle of her back down. We brought her in and Dr Simon was our Angel. She was there for us even on the week end when we needed her. I also need to say something about Suzie, she is the best person and will do anything for you. She knew we were going through alot and called us just to check on us to see how we were. The whole staff is great and makes you feel welcome when you come in. I love this place and will never bring my pets anywhere else ❤
I am so thankful that I found this Veterinary Clinic! They are truly AWESOME!! From the moment you make the call, too booking the appointment, too going into the office for your pet’s doctor’s visit you are treated like you are their only client. The hospital staff and doctor’s make you and your pet their priority and want to do their very best for your beloved fur babies. Everyone from the reception staff, to the clinic staff, to the doctors are extremely professional and have hearts of gold. The facility is beautifully laid out, super clean, and offers state-of-the-art medical care. If you are in need of an Exotic Veterinarian look no further, as Dr. Casey Simon is who you want!! She is so kind, caring, and a brilliant physician! The Blair Brood and I will be clients for life!! I can’t thank them enough for everything they did for me and my fur babies!!!
After being sent home by my current vet, after a shot of oxytocin did not start labor on my French Bulldog that was already 5 days over due I was in a panic to try to find another vet that would see me on an emergency basis. I called 8 different vets and noone was able to get me in. I even called Med Vet in Girard and they no longer do surgeries so they referred me to Akron. (Thinking I was going to need a C-section) When I first tried Niles Veterinarian Clinic they said they were not taking new patients, but when I explained my situation she told me she would talk to the vet and call me back. Sure enough she did and Dr. Simon and the staff treated my dog quickly and thoroughly and together we made the decision to do a C-section on my girl. She delivered 6 beautiful, healthy babies thanks to Dr. Simon. The next morning they called to check on momma and the babies and since moms milk didnt come in they even followed up again the following day to see how things were going. I was very impressed with Dr. Simons bed side manner, professionalism, and knowledge and concern she had for my dog. I highly recommend this Clinic.
We went because Sammy had a possible ear infection. Everyone was very nice. The place smelled clean. They cleaned his ears and gave us some meds. Same price as any other vet but they had a payment plan that would cover future visits so it was easier for me to afford. I got Paws plan. That is $27 a month and covers several exams & yearly shots. Very happy with my experience here.
My elderly mom brought her old dog here. They talked her into a paw plan for a dental. Her dog died that day. The niles veterinary clinic did not mention to my mom that the dog had a reaction to the anesthesia. Im a retired nurse, I understand things happen. Later to find out that a doctor DOESNT even do the dental procedures. I looked up Ohios laws regarding what veterinary technicians can do, apparently it is illegal for them to pull teeth. Would this of happened if a DOCTOR was performing the dental? I have no idea. But now my mom is lost without her best friend and still having to pay for a paw plan on a DEAD dog. This is such a shame. So while the building is beautiful, many illegal practices are going on inside. Please be aware. I dont want someone elses elderly parents to be taken advantage of. Hopefully this will bring up the fact illegal practices are being performed and this wont happen again. I did turn this into the veterinary board of Ohio.UPDATE SINCE THE OWNER WANTS TO TRY TO CLEAR THE AIR.*when you have one of your own technicians pulling teeth, thats illegal. Especially with 2 rooted teeth. They cannot use drills on them either. Ive double checked my facts multiple times and even checked with another veterinarian in the area, this is illegal. Also, my daughter is good friends with one of your technicians, I wont name any names for her safety, one of your technicians does all the dentals, including suturing (another illegal act ontop of pulling multiple rooted teeth and drills). The board has already been contacted with testimonies and photos/videos.
Outstanding staff, greeted with all smiles and friendly, professional staff who asked all the right questions, were patient and took time to understand concerns. They covered all of the options needed with pricing and helped to create short term and long term planning for my pet. Would definitely recommend this facility to everyone with a pet!
We had a scare with our pup possibly injesting something she shouldnt have, our regular vet couldnt get us in so we figured we would go to another vet. ABSOLUTELY awesome staff. Dr. Courtney spoke to me over the phone and gave a very thorough explanation of everything. They got us right in and took great care of our pup. All of the staff were very nice. Professional, yet felt like we were their family. I think we found our new Vets office!
My dog Elvis passed away and Niles Vet Clinic were the only ones who were willing to take him in as an emergency. They treated us with so much compassion as care. I’m grateful for them, and if I ever decide to become a dog mom again I will only go to them. Thank you so much for everything.
I was very nervous to drop my cat off. He was in desperate need of a grooming due to mats. They were patient with my over anxious behind and did an outstanding job with his care. Susie was a real stand out, as she took time to assure me my precious Timothy would be personally looked after. I am so happy with the care my cat received, but the care that was taken with me as well. Customer for life. ❤
I really like this facility. It has everything you need to care for your pet. Most of the staff is fabulous. We LOVE Dr Greco!!! She is pet centered and provides thoughtful and holistic care. ❤️❤️❤️The front desk ladies are friendly and kind. General pricing is fair to slightly higher than average. But quality is too notch.Reduced rating is for the following reason—Fair WARNING!!! They hard sell their PAW Plan. Even after the two times I said no, the tech kept pushing. She nearly refused to give me a separate estimate for dental treatment. I could tell this is an expectation of working there, not the tech’s fault. But it is really unfortunate. I suppose if you take your pet to the vet often that this plan could help you. Otherwise I found it very absurd to be asked for $69/month two minutes after I paid )465.00 for my visit, vaccines, blood work and simparica. It might go slightly better if the plan was offered prior to other charges so it went into effect immediately.
I had the best experience bringing my Yorkie pup, Freddie, to NVC yesterday. He was due for his last round of vaccinations. Bc he has a history of adverse reactions and allergies, the Doctor offered to keep him the full day for observation since I had to go back to work. They didnt charge me extra for that! I was floored. Vets are frequently a cash vacuum. The clinic kept in touch with me throughout the day and spent a lengthy time discussing Freddies unique healthcare needs (runt of the litter and a bit sickly). I didnt feel like we were just another number, that we were important and worth the time. Definitely felt appreciated.Lastly, I just wanna truly compliment one of the Vet Assts. named Suzy. She was in charge of Freddie and assisted the Doctor during Freddies big day. Omg. Amazing! She is so upbeat and super friendly. She explained things in a way that wasnt condescending or arrogant. She took her time to fully inform me about my puppys visit and when she brought him to the car, he was obviously very calm and comfortable with her. As we were discussing Freddie, the conversation shifted and we got on the topic of the recent passing of my other Yorkie girl. I started tearing up telling the story and she did, as well, in her empathy for my grief. We shared a wonderful talk about our soul mate doggies for a while. It was nice to not feel so alone in how much I regarded and loved that little, sweet dog. It breaks my heart still to think she is gone. Suzy felt the same way about her Pug, Maggie, that passed not that long ago. Wish they could outlive us! Ugh.The people at NVC have heart and compassion and thats exactly what anyone should hope for in a vet besides the excellent medical care. Thanks to all on making me a new, yet loyal, client for life. Oh, and Freddie is doing great and sends you his puppy chow kisses. Lol. Best regards -WT
My puppy was spayed by another Vet.Unfortunately, she had complications, and I was unable to get in contact with her Vet.I called this clinic as a last resort, after so many refusals to see my pup from other practices.Jan answered my call, after a quick consultation with the Vets there I was told to come in right away.I was met cheerfully by Ashley who also quickly took Lucie to get bloodwork and a full exam.Dr Simon took excellent care of my pup, explained that a mistake was made by the previous vet that did the spay. She assurred me that Lucie would be ok.I was given 3 new meds and a clean E collar.Lucie is now going to be in great care with Dr Simon and her wonderful staff from now on.Thank you to all the professionals at Niles Veterinary Clinic, you are exactly and much more what a superior Vet clinic should be.
They are the Best. Always so kind, caring, compassionate and friendly. They took excellent care of my dog Buddy when he needed stomach surgery. They are exceptional and I would recommend them to anyone. They treat you and your pet like they are family! Thank you for all you do!!
Unfortunately after years of being a client we were treated like a burden the last 6 months..... but worse than that our senior dog was returned to us after surgery in terrible looking condition and then we were told she had cancer via an email....the care is not the same since Dr. Pagano and Dr. Stacheff left. I am sure the office manager (who wrote one of the recent reviews.....) will respond saying changes were made since we had a phone call and I genuinely pray that is true as I really used to love this place.....but I really think in order for people to ensure that quality care is restored and/or maintained clients and potential clients need to be aware of the good AND the bad so that they can be the voice for their pets and not assume that they will always receive the same care without being vigilant. I wasnt going to post anything but if the staff is going to make raving reviews it is only fair that people are informed of the the bad things that have happened as well.....
This is the only Veterinarian I will go to. They always have gone beyond my expectations and, really made a bond with my pets. I would point out specific team members but, everyone has made a nice impression on me. When my dog got sick I tried 3 clinics in 6 months and then I found Niles Veterinary Clinic. They not only saved my dogs life but, took it personally too. That was a huge relief for my dog and me.
I have only used vet services in PHX, realized how taken advantage of, how insufficiently they cared and treated my dog. As a first time patient with Niles Veterinary Clinic, I am incredibly thankful for the clarity from the staff that helped with my baby bear. I am definitely keeping my baby bear a patient here.
The entire staff here is fantastic! True compassion right from intake, all the while keeping you updated throughout the entire process for whatever your pet needs and walking you through your options. Above all they truly care about our fur babies! So worth the drive! Highly recommend Dr Greco and her staff for all your veterinary needs!
Ive taken my kitten here during covid to so I to havent been inside. They are very organized and come out to get your pet after talking to you over the phone. I cant figure out if I got ripped off with their paw plan, lol, but theyve have done a good job with her everytime I bring her. She got fixed recently, shes doing well. When I have questions they answer promptly. Dont be afraid to call with questions.
This is the second visit for my dog at Niles Veterinary Clinic. He was favoring his left rear leg, would not put it on the ground. I did have to wait a week for an appointment, but when I got there I was really pleased with their care. Susie, the Vet Tech, was amazing. You could tell she loves animals and genuinely wants to relate to my dog and give him the best care possible. I had to authorize a procedure under anesthetic, then get a call back on how to proceed, then pick him up after completion. The vet called me back, explained the diagnosis and range of available treatments. I chose the most conservative to begin with, and she sent me home with 2 prescriptions, which have helped tremendously in less than 24 hours. I am not one to want too many tests or complex procedures, for myself or my animals, and I felt that they respected that decision.
Im not one to do this. But this problem needs to be discussed. Me and my wife have been bringing our 2 dogs here for several years. We used to see Dr. Staycheff who took incredibly good care of our kids. She left. Since this happened the care and compassion for this place has significantly gone down. There is a specific tech that likes to twist my wifes words. A doctor who believes every word coming from the techs mouth. This is just a disaster waiting to happen. We have not been happy here for awhile now. Since curbside the doctor doesnt call and just sends out the same tech. Of course its the one that likes to lie. Maybe if she were to call this wouldnt of happened. Communication is the key. What happened to the quality care we used to get? What happened to the compassion? They push paw plans that cover vaccines but nothing else. I guess thats what happens when you are a big corporation. I know we are not the only owners that are not happy here. Since the last incident we found a new clinic. Will never return to this place. Do not trust them.
My experience with Niles Veterinary was great, they really care about your pet. We were having a bad experience with the vet we had been going to, so we called here and they gave us a 2nd opinion, examined him. they took the time to answer all our questions plus called to check up on my little buddy.Thank you guys very much.
They are absolutely amazing the vet tech Susie is amazing she takes perfect care or our dogs Hemi Bear and Fenrir along with our cats her and Dr.Courtney with how amazing they are will forever have us being permanent customers. Can’t recommend them enough they explain everything perfectly and always remember facts about our pets and take fantastic care, My fiancé and I have never once had a complaint for them and will pay almost any service the offer because how much we trust them
Had a Kitty that developed blood in her urine. Niles is my primary vet and they were booked solid till late September. They did direct me to an emergency animal hospital to try to help. Next day, I had a message that they would see Kitty that morning if I dropped her off. They did a full workup on her and took time with me like I had an appointment scheduled all along. They were great.
Great visit. Still curbside due to pandemic. Service is quick but the vet techs talk and answer questions without making it feel hurried. They really seem to love my dogs (one of whom - our female - nearly died from kidney failure due to leptospirosis, and the other - our male - is very fear reactive & a very tough sell on people in lab/doctor coats so isnt always happy to be there). Im always struck by how they seem to care for them. ❤Please note as well that the staff remains all female which is another plus because our male does NOT like men.I mean lets be real, my pets are needy AF - either behaviorally or medically & they always make us feel like royalty. (Edit: they are both pitbulls, too so....) Sold!!!
I brought in my cat that I found outside 2 months ago. I went to the office down the road and was turned away. I came here out of desperation for my sweet girl. She was losing weight and really not doing well. I walked into the clinic which was very clean and neat, very frantic since I was already turned away at another. The sweet receptionist, Amber, told me not to worry that they could see my cat on emergency, Harriet is what i named her. Turned out my kitty was extremely sick and wasnt going to make it. Amber and Dr. Courtney were very sweet and really tried to give me options on what to do. In the end I decided that the best thing to do for Harriet was to euthanize her. Amber stayed with me the whole time and explained things very calmly and made my anxiety so much better. In the future, if I ever get another cat I will definitely be returning.Thank you Amber and Dr. Courtney for all you do.
Best place I could take my dogs. I took my dog in her name is Ruby, I got 10 months ago that some lowlife threw away like trash, and she was really scared thinking I was throwing her out. With the virus going around you cant go in with them but I was able to take Ruby threw the doors. She didnt want to go in so I carried her. I went back to my truck in tears. This lady (her name was Jill) kept coming out like 3or 4 times letting me know what was going on and reassuring me that Ruby was ok. Which that helped me alot. Dr called let me know what they did and how Ruby was doing and her concerns. Asked if I had any questions and let me know my dog was on her way out and healthy for the most part. Maybe a little too healthy lol. I swear these people are so kind and you know they love their jobs. Very passionate people. I definitely will stay with this place! (This was my dogs first visit here) Payment packages are affordable now that I havent been working and on low income household. Very very satisfied! Highly recommend them to anyone! I might even have a few friends taking their dogs there soon after they heard about my experience.
I love the stuff, Amber was very nice and helpful to us. Actually every single of them are wonderful people. Dr. Simon saved my cats life, Alphie. She did not give up on him, treated him like her own pet. I truly appreciate every one who helped Alphie. Thank you so much!
I take all of my pets here (3 cats and 1 dog). I started with my cat Dallas back in 2012. The staff is amazing and very friendly. They even give great help for when we bring in strays and want to get them medicine etc. Prices are reasonable for the services provided. Cant say enough good things about Niles Vet. I always get a kick out of seeing my favorite front office cat Biggie!
My 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier had a major blockage in his intestine, so we called Niles Vet Clinic they told us that they had no appointments and referred us to MEDVET in Girard. We then took him there and had X-Rays done and found the blockage they gave him fluids and told us to call his vet in the morning to get him Emergency Surgery. I then called Niles Vet Clinic when they opened the following morning and again they told us they couldnt get him in even though it was a life and death situation. My Dog has been a patient of Niles Vet Clinic for 5 years. and because he wasnt a patient at any other vet we couldnt get him the help he needed locally. So I then rushed him to Akron MEDVET. They were very understanding and he had the surgery within a couple of hours. I will NOT take my dog back to Niles Veterinary Clinic EVER and I do NOT reccomend them to anyone!!!!
They sent me home with my mom cat and her two kittens. Told me one needed s little extra attention and was fine. I get to the car and he was dead! They also wouldn’t let me even see my cat until they got $1600 although when my emergency happened I immediately paid $1200. They also threatened to call the cops on my boss who came to bring me the last of the money I needed. All because he pulled out of their parking lot a bit fast. They also kept talking about me in front of me and were all around rude
I brought my senior dog in the spring of 2017 , to this establishment. The vet refused to give her a rabies shot. Then I get reminder cards in the mail to bring my dog in for her appointment because it is over due. I had 400 dollars on me the day I came in ,it was all the money I had. I asked for help with my dog and they sent me home . My dog passed of old age. If a vet feels a senior dog is to old to continue life that they denied shots why did they not ask to put are dog to sleep in a human way!
Terrible brief experience.. all on the phone.I called last week inquiring about declawing my cat, WHICH; by the way they do. Receptionist invasively asked me why I was looking to do the procedure and then gave me her unsolicited thoughts/opinions on the procedure. Attempted to guilt me out of planning the surgery. I also called to speak to the manager/boss multiple times and instead had to have more exchanges with the self-righteous rude receptionist. I never leave reviews but after this, I had to!Heres a thought: maybe hire a receptionist who isnt against services you provide. And how about you call back people trying to discuss concerns. Im sure Ill get a very sweet and apologetic comment on this post like Ive seen the clinic post on others, but you couldnt take 5 minutes to call me back after multiple attempts!Didnt know I called PETA...
We had a misunderstanding. My husband thought our appointment was scheduled for 9:30 when actually it was for 9. We arived at approximately 9:15 and was told if we wanted our dog seen we will be charged an emergency visit. That was enough for me to return to my previous vet clinic even though they are 2 counties away.
First of all, this vet charges an arm and a leg for services! Second of all, we adopted a cat from Cats are People Too and because our cat had a few fleas on him, they called Cats Are People Too and tried to REPORT us to them. Sorry we have a dog that goes outdoors and the dog got into some tall grass. What this is really about is my wife refused their OVERPRICED flea treatment and they were bitter about it. The ONLY reason we even came to your vet was because the first two visits were covered. Our cat is doing just fine and is completely rid of fleas now.My advice is to avoid this vet at all costs. They really dont care about the animals; they only care about fattening their wallets!
Great place with amazing care but high prices and even if they know you as a repeat customer they dont do much to help out with the prices. Not asking for handouts but a place to help animals knowing the owners are currently in a rough spot couldnt even do payments. Had to find another place that did.
I had never had problems getting ahold of anyone and when i have with questions and concerns they had always been exceptionally kind I go through a current vet in ehich i will be making niles veterinary my new vet for my 2 cats i had amazing care and service and just A for your info everyone is entitled to their own opinion and you do not have to bash on any just because they simply didnt agree just bc they offer declaw doesnt mean shes okay with it i have my tech degree there are many dangers that follow with nail removal god bless everyone and thank you so much for the great service and love you shown to my kitty.

2021-12-24Niles Veterinary Clinic is the best vet clinic in the area. Theres really no question about it. Theyre quick to get us in when we have an issue needing a quick response, they provide excellent preventative care, their prices are fair, their staffing is exceptional... theres just no overstating how great they are.We have a dog with severe anxiety that theyre great with. They put her at ease as best they can by giving her space, moving slow, and offering genuine affection. Its exactly what she needs.Theyve been there with us when our 18 year old cat needed to be euthanized due to severe health issues. They facilitated the cremation and were supportive through the whole process. They performed two surgeries on our other dog and saved her life both times by getting her in and under the scalpel quickly. Their after care has been great and so has their supportive staff. Were still fresh off the second surgery and the day after they called us to check on her. This is really above and beyond.Youll probably have to spend a little more here than at other vet clinics in the area. But I cannot stress enough that its worth every penny.

2022-04-10I’ve been to many vet clinics with my own 10 animals as well as our fosters and Niles Vet Clinic has by far surpassed my expectations with the level of care and thoroughness their veterinarians and staff provide to their patients. They are excellent with assessing difficult to figure out health issues in both dogs and cats. I can not say enough good things about them and strongly recommend if you’re looking for the highest quality care for your beloved furry family member.

2022-05-13I was a basket case when I brought my cat in for an emergency. They made a very bad situation better. They explained everything and I knew what was going on and what that would look like in payment form. It felt like they moved mountains for us.I would recommend them to everyone. I should also note that they were not taking new clients. I knew no one in the area. We just moved from TX. Again.. top notch.. I am incredibly thankful that I found them.

2022-02-17Our dog has been a member of this clinic for over 10 years. Great communication, quick turn-around, friendly staff. Prices may seem high, but when it comes to a member of the family, what can you really honestly do about it?

2022-02-02We have been bringing our dogs here for years and have always been very satisfied. The service is professional and caring. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful and to communicate. Dr. Simon is wonderful!

2022-06-07Staff, as always, was professional and knowledgeable. Our puppy Macy literally enjoys visiting the Niles facility. The only negative we have experienced is a misunderstanding about the Puppy Paw Plan. Overall a positive decision.

2022-03-16Great place with caring staff and doctors. We bring my daughters two rats here as they are one of the few locations that see pocket pets. Have been very happy with the service received.

2022-06-03Been coming here for over 2 years now. Staff and Doctors are awesome! My Puggle, Artie, loves going here. The “Paw Plan” is pretty cool and has saved me tons of money so far, so definitely ask about that! The place is always clean!

2020-10-20My fur baby went in to get Spayed yesterday. Dr. Simon is her vet and she saw to it that she and the rest of the staff took very good care of her. Angel still hasn’t gotten over her separation anxiety and whines and cries when I’m not in her site. They saw to it that someone was always with her before and after surgery. Thank you Dr. Simon and Staff at the Niles Veterinary Clinic.
