Our DJ was Steve Ransom and he did a great job DJing our wedding reception. He also helped me prepare a surprise for my husband that helped make the night amazingly magical. He did a great job playing our favorite songs, and we were glad we booked him! If youre looking for a wedding DJ, look no further!
Steve was absolutely fantastic! He was attentive to everything we wanted to make sure happened and helped the caterer all while still keeping the party going. We were so thankful to have Steve and weve continued to have guests mention how good the DJ was at our wedding. We would definitely recommend his services for any occassion!
I do not think we could have found a better DJ for our wedding and reception. Steve was incredible. We gave him a list of songs we like/wanted to hear, and he played them at the perfect moments. The list of songs was not long enough to last the entire night, and he picked amazing songs to fill in the gaps. You can tell he thoroughly enjoys his job by how friendly, professional and great he was. I cant say enough about how perfect made our special day!
From our very first meeting, Steve always said that it was his job to read the room and ensure he plays the right song at the right time. Well, Steve nailed it! I had so many guests comment on how wonderful he was and that he was the best they had ever seen. They said he was a master of ceremonies! He came out from behind the DJ stand and interacted with the crowd. He even helped guide me during the congo line to ensure everyone had enough room. When the photographer grabbed us for an unscheduled sunset photoshoot, Steve had his eyes on us and discussed plans for moving the night forward. We had conversations prior to what type of music we wanted or didn’t want and when he felt something wasn’t in line with what we had previously talked about, he quickly verified that we were okay with a particular song. He was very flexible and set up evening meeting times with us, because of our work schedules. I would highly recommend!
Steve and Jodi were excellent and made our day so very special! They were flexible with us postponing and finding a new wedding date, and had a playlist that perfectly fit me and my husband. Our reception went so smoothly thanks to Steve running the show, we absolutely reccomend Night Music!

Vow Renewal Success!! Night Music DJ Professionals was excellent at helping us make our vow renewal an awesome experience. With the loss of my Dad 10 years ago he made my dream come true by having all the dads dance with me to my fathers favorite song. He was also helpful with DJing through our ceremony and into the dance of the night which kept us organized throughout the whole night. Would definitely recommend and for my next event will use him again.
Steve at Night Music DJ did a fantastic job at our wedding in October this year! He was very professional and managed our party extremely well. All of the big wedding moments were handled perfectly and he was able to move the party on and off the dance party with ease. Highly recommend for your next wedding or event!
Booking Night Music DJ Professionals was the first vendor we booked when we got engaged. Steve was the DJ at our friends wedding and we knew then that he had to be our DJ when we got married, and he was!! We live in Cincinnati and they are located in Columbus but Steve made it work and traveled here for our wedding. Steve kept the flow of the wedding perfect and transitioned us through each moment. We are so happy to have found and worked with Steve they truly are the BEST!
Steve from Night Music was absolutely wonderful to work with. He went above and beyond to get to know my husband and I before our wedding to select the perfect music for our ceremony and reception. Everything from setting up, to the ceremony music, to the cocktail music, toasts and reception was perfect. Steve worked with all of the vendors to make sure that everything went flawlessly. We also had a full dance floor throughout the entire reception and received many compliments on the music selections and how professional and fun our DJ was. Steve was absolutely fantastic to work with - organized, professional, and enthusiastic. We needed music in two different rooms, and everything sounded perfect in both spaces. Steve kept everything on schedule and seamless through dinner and the reception, and he knew how to keep people on the dance floor, which was what my husband and I really wanted. Steve and the rest of the team at Night Music DJ were incredible. They were extremely helpful leading up to our wedding, helping to get our playlist and details in order, and executed everything flawlessly. Steve Ransom was the DJ for both of my brothers weddings and both weddings went so smoothly and the dance floor was never empty. The big joke became that I had Steve picked out for the music before I had my husband picked! Steve does such a great job with coordinating with all other vendors to make sure everything runs perfectly. I never realized how big of a role a DJ plays in a wedding, they are more than just playing music. They coordinate all the events of the day. We had Steve do our ceremony (both ceremony and reception were at the same place) so he was there from beginning to end. There was no downtime and when the dancing started, the dance floor was never empty. He listened to what we wanted and really spent time to get to know my husband and I. He wanted to know the feel of the wedding and he wanted to know about us, he knew he wasnt there to just play music. I HIGHLY recommend Steve, Ive seen him do 3 weddings now and all 3 have been phenomenal! Steve has a lot of passion for what he does, and that really shows!! Hire Steve and you cant go wrong!
Steve was a phenomenal DJ, MC, you name it! Before our wedding, we met with Steve multiple times to hammer out the details and ensure we were on the same page for our vision (we wanted to do a Dancing through the Decades to cater to all ages). Steve didnt skip a beat during the ceremony, opening with catchy songs from the 50s to get the next generation dancing. As the night progressed we went through the 60s, 70s, 80s, before ultimately settling on the 90s and 00s which was incredible for a wedding full of 90s kids. We had a blast!Steve genuinely cared about us, our theme, and the people at our wedding and it really came through with the thought and attention he paid to what songs he played and when, even graciously sparing us from the dreaded Chicken Dance.If youre looking for someone that will listen to you and your vision, Steve Ransom at Night Music is definitely your guy.
We got married on February 1st, 2020 - Jodi and Steve sure do know how to rock the house! They make sure to have every detailed marked down so on the day of there not a single thing to worry about! We had a very large wedding party and the control they took over the 24 of us was absolutely perfect! Jodi and Steve certainly can get a room of people on the dancefloor and no one wanted the NIGHT to end! We cannot thank them enough for the loads of fun they brought to our wedding, it was a night we will never forgot!
A family friend highly recommend Night DJ and we were so pleased we took their great advice. They were an enormous part of our July wedding reception at the Westin in Columbus. Steve was incredibly professional through the entire planning process (very prompt with emails, which seemed to be rare with wedding vendors!). He really wowed us at the reception - from the way he introduced our family giving toasts, to his kind demeanor and willingness to take every request AND stay an extra hour for a reasonable fee, we had no regrets. The dance floor was packed all night and we know Night DJ was the reason! I will also point out that several of our guests who had been to local weddings with bands said over and over how much more fun the dancing was with Night DJ. Five plus stars for Steve and his team!
JODI IS YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!!! My husband and I chose Night Music right away after meeting them at the Franklin Park Conservatory Wedding Showcase and it was one of the easiest and best decisions we made. I had been nervous about finding a DJ that understood the intimate crowd that we had, encouraging guests to dance and have fun without obnoxiously dragging them out on the dance floor- Jodi was absolute perfection. Not only did she play everything we requested, but after just a couple of meetings she understood us as if we had known her for years. She kept us calm on our big day knowing that she had become a friend and supporter of us. I would recommend Jodi and Night Music to anyone, anytime. We love you!!!!
Steve Ransom and Night Music were incredible to work with. He kept the reception running smoothly and on schedule and somehow did it with subtelty and grace as well. I have so many good things to say about him. For example, my husband and I have him a short list of songs wed like to hear at the reception, and the final playlist he came up with were all songs I love! I was so impressed.Steve was also totally down with all the little details and jokes that we wanted in our reception. Were not the most traditional couple, so we asked Steve to not refer to us as man and wife or Mr and Mrs [mans name] and he was totally on board. In fact, at our request he introd us as Mrs and Mr [wifes name] which got a ton of laughs! I also asked him to help me play a little prank on my dad and play a few seconds of The Imperial March from Star Wars when it was time for the father/daughter dance. My dad laughed so hard, it was perfect.I cant thank Steve and Night Music enough for making our wedding day so special.

I cant believe it has taken me this long to write a review for Night Music. As an Event Coordinator in the wedding industry, I can honestly say that the team at Night Music is the BEST. So often I encountered DJs that were entirely disconnected with the crowd and ran the show based on how they wanted the night to progress...Ive had some real horror stories. This was never the case with Night Music; I was so excited to work with them on each and every single event we partnered on. When it was time for my own wedding, Steve and Jodi were first on my list to call. It is unbelievable how in tune Night Music is with the guests and the flow of the event. They really do help ensure the crowd is participating and having a blast. We had no formal timeline set for our wedding, but Steve intuitively knew EXACTLY what song to play to engage the crowd in between cake cutting, the toast, and other formalities. Hands down, the best DJ entertainment company you can find in Ohio!
Jodi was our DJ, and she was very professional and easy to work with. She was helpful throughout the entire process, so I knew I wouldnt have to worry about problems during the reception. She listened to everything we did and did not want played, and truly stuck to it. She took requests as long as they fit into our wants, and even announced a couple of special songs for our maid of honor and best man. We had a FULL dance floor the entire evening, from first song to last. I got many compliments throughout the night about how great Jodi was, and I know my husband and parents did as well. Multiple people have told our family that this was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to, and I truly believe Jodi had a big part in that. I would highly recommend Jodi and Night Music DJ to anyone.
We hired Steve for my daughters wedding and they did not disappoint! Steve listened to every detail my daughter wanted and went above and beyond her expectations!
Jodi did such a wonderful job at making sure to play all of our favorite songs and the timing of each song throughout the night was so perfect. Her emcee skills are excellent and her sense of humor and the way she transitioned from speeches to first dances, and toasts was truly incredible. All of my guests said that they wished they had known about her when they got married. We also had several venues close/cancel on us during the planning process and with all of the stress and uncertainty, Jodi made sure to accommodate our needs and adapt to any changes in spaces and types of venues. Jodi went above and beyond to make sure our venue we ended up with would work for us and when we asked if she could provide music downstairs for dinner, as well as upstairs on the rooftop (National Vets Memorial Museum is awesome!), she didnt hesitate to say yes and made it all happen with only a month or two notice!

Night Music DJ made our dream a reality! 4.5 years ago, I came to Jodi with an idea of a fundraiser to benefit Otterbein University and the Ohio Wildlife Center. With Jodis encouragement and guidance, our organization exceeded our goals. Jodi and Steves expertise made our event a fun time for all ages and total Lovefest! Central Ohio is fortunate to have these special gems in town!

2021-12-29Steve did an amazing job pulling off the best wedding for my wife and I! We cant say enough good things about him! From the very first conversation we had with him he made us feel so comfortable and had the best suggestions for a perfect, seamless day! His music guide was super helpful. His years of experience really showed through with every aspect of the day- from the prelude, to grand entrances, to communicating with our guests on what to expect next. We received compliments all night long with how great of a DJ he is and still do now months later. We highly recommend hiring Steve as your DJ!

From setting up as many meetings as we needed up to the wedding and responding quickly to emails, we could tell how much he cared about making sure our wedding went as smoothly as possible! We loved how organized he was, and he was fun and enthusiastic to work with! He was so easy to meet with (even virtually during Covid times), very reliable and professional. He really helped take the stress off the wedding planning process because we knew we could count on him. The day of the wedding, he made sure everything flowed smoothly from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. He even got us a drink when we finally sat down at our table. He provides a very detailed song list as well to help you pick your music for each part of your wedding day. We highly recommend Night Music DJ!

2021-08-07Jodi was phenomenal. She was so accommodating during the planning process, especially through the pandemic. She was available for Zooms, phone calls, and meetings to make sure things were arranged just right for our night. During the wedding, Jodi kept our guests on the dance floor all night and played all of our favorite picks. Our younger friends and older relatives had the best time, thanks to our amazing DJ!! Highly recommend Night Music!!
