Con artist scammers pros i went in to have work done on my car paid 1446$ cash and he pocketed money didnt work on car no proof i was there all record of me erased they looked at cam said they didnt see my hand him cash which is hard to believe im fat and i counted out 1500$ in 100$ bills they didnt do the work they broke other things throwing codes tried to make me pay for those cplaint got me nowhere dm said i called them twice they never called my i have proof they called me to get my car instead of a recipt they gave me a folded up paper with a misc estamate for 799$ no clue about that tried to get money back called me a lier said no proof he said she said so im out 1446$ and my cars worse broke dont go there beware read thier bbb rating first. Took car to another shop they said they messed with it and put a weong bolt in my manifold and sprayed something sticky on it they couldnt identify had to trade car couldnt pay 5k limp sum to fix it all
Ive visited this location twice, waited until the second time to write a review. I was given the place on the recommendation of a friend, and have been very impressed. Speedy, reasonably priced, up-front and honest service. Never feel like Im going to get the run around about extras, and they always do the best job to make sure my oil-change is beyond my expectations. I take my and my wifes car here any time I need an oil change, and as long as its a quiet day its a 15 minute visit, 25 minutes at the most. Mike is extremely professional, friendly, and really goes the extra mile for his customers, will recommend to a friend, and will continue my business here.
New manager, Mike was so helpful and friendly! Had an awesome coupon for an oil change but he was kind enough to talk to me about other things I need and when I need them! He was honest and so great! Will definitely be back when I need tires and another oil change. Check them out! You won’t be sorry!
I always get nervous going to any auto repair alone seeing as the stigma of being a young woman says they will over charge you, etc. This was not the case at Monro! Mike was so extremely friendly and professional and offered me the sale price of the better oil. I called before I came in to make sure they had availability and mike got me right in! Great service for a great price and quick! Definitely recommend!!
Awesome service with a smile. Mike really helped me out and at a reasonable price! I was in and out in no time and am confident about the quality of work done. Midas had claimed I had lower control arm issues but Mike at Monro found it to be only a pad and rotor issue, saving me almost $100!! Thanks Monro, will definitely continue to do business with you!
I was coming from out of town with my son to purchase a used car. We searched for a mechanic to provide an inspection and we were thrilled that our online service found Michaels store from so many positive reviews. Booked an appointment online. They were ready as scheduled. He and his crew member were great - very friendly, thorough and attentive. They walked us through what they found and went above and beyond with help and recommendations!
Mike was very personable and friendly. I was having issues with my car battery and he scheduled me in as soon as possible. He checked my battery and advised me to get a new battery instead of paying for the battery corrosion cleaning. He changed my oil and replaced my battery and I was able to get in have my car serviced and left. I would definitely recommend getting your car serviced at this location.
I had a pleasant experience at Monro. I called to get an appointment for an oil change and they got me in on the same day. I was expecting to have to wait at least a few days to get in. Michael, the store manager was very friendly and personable. They were able to take my car in the bay by my scheduled appointment time and they had the oil change done very quickly. I will keep returning for future oil changes and possibly other repair needs.
Absolutely Awesome! For being a corporate chain, this company is very down to earth and helpful. What we were sure was going to cost us over $1000 to get fixed, they rooted out the problem immediately and it saved us HUNDREDS!! Mike was so nice and helpful he really made our day. Such a great help ! I had a flat tire the day before and they were very accommodating to get me services the next morning, and very honest as I expressed my concerns with the rest of the tires, oil changes and windshield fluid leaks. They did a full system check and discussed all my options in saving money. An all-around great experience with the labor, the communication and customer service. THANK YOU !
I brought my van in for a routine oil change, and I asked if they could check out a rattle in the exhausts that started after installing a hitch. The crew at Monro spent extra time investigating and adding some spacers to get rid of the rattle at no extra charge. They have always done great work on my car, but this was above and beyond. Lovely Guest services, attention to detail and speed & expertise. The store was spotless and the employees were friendly and informative. I felt like I was in charge of the entire situation from start to finish. They kept me informed and updated every step of the way as to exactly how they were progressing with my service. Made a trip to Akron, from Fort Wayne. When I got here my front left bearings and tie-rod was very bad, had to be replaced before I went back home to Fort Wayne, was holiday weekend only place that could get me in on a Saturday. Very grateful for there help/work, they did a great job and also decent price and in less time then they told me. Great guys here! Thanks again!
First of all, the guy DID NOT ask if I wanted any extra services along with the 4 tires I was purchasing. He DID NOT go over ANYTHING on the quote paper. He did mumble the quote and barely passed the papers over to me to look at. Secondly, they did not put my spare tire back where it belongs, no they threw it in my trunk proceeded to put one snow tire on top of it then put the other DIRTY tire in my backseat on top of personal items that are now dirty and smell like rubber. This place is a complete rip off and unprofessional and I will tell any one I know TO NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE.
I’ve been a customer of this Monro for a few years for my oil changes and regular maintenance. I just had them do some repairs on my fuel lines, they got my car in faster than I expected and the price was fair. The employees and management here are always really helpful and friendly, even more so in recent years.
These guys are absolutely spectacular! I have been going here for nearly 15 years and have always been happy with 1) their price 2) the answers Im given and 3) the quality of their work and helpfulness.In the most recent example of how great the staff is here, my friends car broke down in Akron a few nights ago. After getting it towed to a nearby mechanic in Akron, the next morning she was quoted more than $1,800 for the repair. I called Jeremy, and within 5 minutes he said they would do the repair for less than $700. Thats just one example out of at least ten instances where these guys were half of dealership and other shops.For their pricing, helpfulness, honesty, and integrity, I will continue coming here and recommending it to anyone that needs car repairs.

Mike Lamtman and his crew do a phenomenal job every time I go there. Their prices are very reasonable, their work as fast and efficient, and they actually invest in their customers. It took me a while to find a decent shop to get my car worked on, and I’m happy I found these guys.
I had an oil change and had Shane and Steve check out some quirky things going on with the breaks. It turned out I had some serious break issues. They took great care of the problems and me. I will go to them again. They went out of their way to make sure I got a fair price for the work that was done.They did a terrific job!!!
Went here for an oil change yesterday, which took far longer than it should have (an hour and a half). When a customer can leave their car there for service, that’s one thing, but if they know the customer is waiting to get other things done with their day, you shouldn’t leave them waiting that long. However, aside from the long waiting time, my true complaint is about the young man at the front counter. I heard from his conversation with another customer that he is new on the job, but he seemed to have no idea what good customer service should look like (I worked in customer service for years and was pretty appalled). I went up to the counter to pay while the counter worker was doing something else, since I saw that the mechanic put my paperwork there. Another customer, a man, came in behind me. When the counter worker returned to his spot, he ignored me and asked the man behind me what he needed. It was incredibly rude and unprofessional. The customer who came in behind me had to tell him that I was waiting at the counter first. They gave me no answers to my concerns about my car that I had asked them to check on during the oil change, and by the time I was paying, I wasn’t about to bother with asking since I was there far later than I expected.I almost have to laugh at what the counter worker said to another customer - “I’m in the business of keeping people’s business.” Yeah right. I will never return to this location again.
I came to Monroe because Midas told me I needed my rear shocks done and their prices were too high($700). When I got here they looked at my car and I didn’t even need my shocks done but I asked what their price was and it was only about $500) Michael Lamtman the store manager was very honest and helped me with my car. I definitely recommend this Monro to anyone. Amazing customer service and affordable prices
I just wanted to say what great customer service we received from this Monro. The manager helped us out so much when I found out I needed my exhaust totally replaced. We received pictures along the way so we could see what was happening. Everything was done so quickly and our service was phenomenal!
Love this place, brought my car here after another mechanic lied about fixing stuff that didnt need fixed. All the workers here are extremely nice and professional. They go out of their way to help me understand whats wrong with my car and what my options are. I dont feel taken advantage of when I leave here. If you want a trust worthy place, bring your car here.
I was about to leave for an important out of town trip. My vehicle started to make an aggressive grinding noise, which sounded horrendous and it was shaking as well. I called four different auto repair businesses on a Saturday afternoon. Only one shop made an incredible effort to rescue me from my situation. It was Mike Lamtman (The Manager) who suggested that I come in and he would make arrangements to determine the cause and necessary remedy quickly! I arrived and Mikes team immediately went into action putting my truck on the rack! It was a wheel bearing that they determined was bad. I figured that the part needed to be ordered (this would add more time wasted!) but much to my chagrin, Mike had it in stock!! In a quick 90 minutes, my vehicle was as good as new!! This fast professional service along with a huge stock of parts saved the day! If you need any type of service to your vehicle, Mike Lamtman and his team will deliver!! They earned 10 stars in my book but Google only allows up to 5 stars!! Thank you, Mike (And your team!) for a first class experience!!
I was referred to this place from a friend of mine saying “if you need any car work done Jeremy is the man”. Me being a skeptic, a skeptic in need, but a skeptic none the less decided to call his bluff. I called this location with inquiries about my vehicle already knowing the parts pricing and labor hour breakdown based on the guide I personally purchased. I began to grill him and test his knowledge on the phone. Not the most loquacious guy in the world but the man simply knows his stuff. I was thoroughly impressed and decided to make an appointment. I saved a lot of money and was able to get it all done in a day. I’ve taken 2 more vehicles there to be serviced. Jeremy is the only person who will work on my BMW from this point forward
Manager Mike was very friendly. I had an appointment for 2pm, my oil change was completed by 230. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because when I got home I realized the guy that did my oil change broke the plastic hood release lever off and didnt say anything, just stuck it in my door compartment.
I stopped in (random choice bc I had a meeting nearby) at Monro Auto to balance my tires - on a 30 yr old Mazda convertible. From the minute I walked in, until I drove out of the store, I was treated with an incredible amount of respect. General Manager, Mike Lamtman and the mechanic, Bob, took time out to talk with me, but more importantly, to make sure I understood what was going on with my car. This random stop turned out to be a great find. Any shop can balance wheels/tires, but not everyone pays attn to customers like these guys did for me. I highly recommend Monro Auto - but specifically appreciate the GM, Mike and Bob, the mechanic.
Went to NTB they quoted me 1200 for pads and rotors. The guys quoted that estimate by just looking at the car parked in the parking lot. So I went to Monro. Mike the Manager took a good look and noticed it just needed pads. Paid 450 plus tax. Great service, ask for Mike he’ll take of you.
If i could leave a negative review i probably would! This is honestly my first review on any place. Im in shock with the customer service i just got. But heres what happened about 3 days ago i was in there as a walk in and they were busy so i waited for the tech to look af it and tell me what it would cost to get it fixed and then i will make an appointment well he lifted my car and goes yeah it will be about 80 to 100 to fix it and we made an appointment well today my appointment comes up i take my car in 15 minutes eairly and drop it off with them because they said they couldnt get to my car until 1 even though my appointment was at 11 so i walked home i called in at to to check on it and he told me the same exact thing the other guy did but this time he told me 200-300 to do it i told him what the other tech said and he proceeded to tell me well im not doing it for that price so i told him never mind ill get the car so i walk down there to get the car and the didnt say two words to me he just gave me my keys with an attitude and walked away with out saying a single word to me just a dirty look and a cold shoulder
Best customer service. No hidden fees or extra cost. The asst manager was wonderful he called me back and showed me that I had a bad belt and did everything he could to make it as cheap as possible for me. Marcus was wonderful. I will never go anywhere else for a oil change.
I typically never leave a 1 star review because everyone makes mistakes and it happens. I have had too many mistakes happen here to justify it with a bad day though.I got an oil change here and when I checked the oil later, the dipstick was completely covered. This is after I dipped and wiped several times. Way, way above the fill line.My girlfriend recently attempted to get a muffler repair done that was also handled poorly. She asked for an estimate for just the muffler. They quoted her the price for her entire exhaust. When she questioned the person on the quote, they insisted it was just for the muffler and that the price was so high because they had to outsource the part. We got it done somewhere else for less than 1/5 of the price.I highly recommend shopping around before you commit your car repair or maintenance here.
They took my car 10 minutes early, gave me a discount on my oil change, and had me on the road half an hour later! I was greeted by the new manager, and I was especially pleased by the courteous, quick service I received, because my last visit under the old management was not so pleasant.
Went in to see why water was leaking into my drivers side and they told me there was nothing mechanically wrong with my car after looking at it. I went to another mechanic and they told me my sunroof drain was clogged. I eve asked Monro if they had checked my sunroof drain, they said yes. Clearly they didn’t. Wasted my time and I will be taking my money elsewhere from now on.
I recently went to valvoline to get my oil changed because my car was making a fun noise. The tech whole did my oil change said that I was leaking oil faster then I could put it in. The manager told me that I needed and oil pan like ASAP. I told him that I needed my car and I needed to take care of this right away. He then recommended that I go see Jeremy at monro. He said that him and all the employees get work done there. He gave me a business card and I was on my way. When I got there they were super busy. I was like great I’m going to be there all day. As soon as I walked this tan gorgeous hunk of a man greeted me with this beautiful smile. Jeremy asked me what I needed and he got me right in. He then told me that what I thought was wrong with my car wasn’t the case, and that it was some oil pressure thing that was a lot cheaper. Within twenty minutes my car was back in running condition. Jeremy also informed me that I need brakes and that why my car was squealing when I stop. I’ll be back next payday to get those! Great friendly quick service. I’m going to tell all my friends and family to see Jeremy at monro.
Jeremy is one awesome guy. Very out going and easy to talk to. I was hearing a noise from my car. Jeremy pulled it in quick then I could blink and within about twenty minutes he had a full estimate written out explaining every little thing that was wrong with my car. He even broke it down to items that where high priority and low priority. I had no idea there were so many things wrong with my car!! But what I was most impressed about was that talking to Jeremy was like talking to a long lost friend not just some guy who was trying to sell me stuff. I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates an honest mechanic.
This place offers a free oil change for a 5 star google review... that’s basically cheating. But I took my car for an oil change yesterday and told the technician that I’ve been hearing a grinding noise and think it’s the breaks. He said “don’t worry we’ll do a full inspection on it and find out what’s going on”. They did the oil change, backed out my car and gave me a thumbs up. I asked “did you check to see where the sound was coming from?” They said “oh shoot I totally forgot. My printer isn’t printing and I got 3 people behind you. So can we reschedule for Saturday?” I said “well I was hoping you could have fixed it today, but sure.” I’m driving home now. I get off route 8 on broad and I hear this horrendous scraping sound. My entire metal undershield is now scraping on the road and my car sounds much worse. I ripped off the shield and it’s magically missing all the screws (I have a 2016 Honda Civic with 19000 miles). This is why I wanted whatever was causing the problem to be looked at the day I took it in the shop. Not only did they mess up the oil change but I still need breaks. So no, I will not give a 5-star review for a free oil change. Also, my car does not need full synthetic oil, which the tech lied about. This place is a mess.

Came to monro muffler for an oil change, and after speaking with Chris he let us know something else may need to be done to make sure we had a safe vehicle on the road. Me and my family would just like to thank Chris at the #400 location for going up and beyond for us. You our friend are greatly appreciated!
Ive been using these guys over the course of the last year for everything from oil changes to tire rotations and felt that I had been treated well but this last experience will be the last time I go there for anything. They diagnosed my car as having a bad battery and said it would be $200 to get a new battery installed. (Autozone said $100) Thats an outrageous price for a new battery so I said Id take it elsewhere. They charged me $30 just to tell me that I needed a new battery. They tried to start it up for me but coudnt so I asked to try to start the car myself and I got it going after a few attempts. The mechanic saw this and said the battery isnt your only issue theres something else wrong but I dont know what. He said he couldnt diagnose it. So in effect they charged me a $30 diagnostic fee and gave me only a partial diagnosis. This is clearly unacceptable so count me an extremely dissatisfied customer. I thought they were straight shooters but for anything more serious than an oil change Id say theyre looking to get the most money possible out of you for very little effort. Look elsewhere for quality service.
This has to be the worst Monro Muffler Brake (no-service) service I have ever experiened! I dropped my vehicle off at 12 noon during my lunch hour, to have my back brakes looked at and was told it was my rotors and pads that needed replacing. I asked if I left my vehicle and came to pick it up (4 1/2 hours later) after work would it be ready, and was told yes it would. I called their shop 30 minutes before clocking out from work and asked was my vehicle ready and was told it would be when I got there. NOT ONLY WAS IT NOT READY I SAT IN THE SHOP WAITING for another 2 1/2 hours only to be told that there was a bent caliber and that they could not fix my brakes until the next day! So I told them ok, the next day they had my vehicle until 4:30 p.m., as I write this I am still stuck once again at work without my vehicle. All of this happened 2/16/2017 - 2/18/2017 !!!!!!!!!
Brought in to have my shackle replaced and had the new part with me. Was told no problem it will be an hour... 2 hours later were almost done and hour later were finishing up. Still waiting as of now... complained about the wait and it was brushed offUpdate... not only was the wait rediculous but the broke my rim and let me leave on it with a child in the vehicle (it was obvious), the also dropped my drum off the back and broke it... to be fair it was replaced... after 6 visits and i had to take it to a different monro shop in stow where the manager is competent and took care of it. This wen on for almost a month before it was made right. I contacted the corporate offices to ask for the DM to contact me about a refund for this being so horrible and i have yet to hear back from them. Do not take your vehicle here. If they do make it right for you it only takes a month or so.
You saved me over 1,800.00$ midas try to say, i needed way more work then i really needed and tryed to charge me 2,400.00. My daughter angel wouldnt let me go back she told me to come to you mike before i go back to midas to see what u thought the problem was. Thank you for being a respectable person and helping us out,and not abuseing your power sence im a woman.
I walked in knowing only my muffler needed replaced. After they looked at my car they they agreed it was just the muffler needing replaced. Then they told me that it would cost $250 (minimum), they neglected to tell me that was the estimate to replace my WHOLE exhaust system, not just my muffler. Also Apparently despite being a muffler shop they have to outsource their parts.My suggestion? Walk across the street and buy a muffler from AutoZone and take it somewhere else to get it installed.Not sure if theyre sexist or just scammers
Horrible first they put the wrong oil in but said they will replace it the next time I came in well I went back and they refused to do so trying to tell me I already got it replaced basically calling me a liar and refused to honor their word and when they were finally done with the oil change they didnt even inform me they were finished with my car so I just stood around waiting because their waiting room is so dirty its like they dont know what a mop is sadly oh and there was a quite a bit of oil dripping from a spill and they poured degreaser all over my hot and running engine...horrible idea..... they lost my business
Wow what a joke.They tried telling me my rack and pinion was bad when my car was making noise and it would cost me 900 dollars plus tax. I took it to someone else i trusted more on the other side of the town and it was my SWAY BAR STABILIZERS AND IT WAS ONLY A 90 DOLLAR FIX. What a joke this place is! Never trust this chain!!

2022-07-16Great service. Had my car brought here because it wouldnt start. They looked at it right away. They tested the alternator and said it was good. Come to find out it was the battery. They replaced my old one with the new one I had in my car free of charge. Thanks Gary the manager sorry if I forgot your name. But I will definitely take my car back here if I have problems in the future

2022-02-15We are so fortunate to have such honest, friendly and upfront mechanics here in Cuyahoga Falls. We have been coming to this shop for two years, and am super thankful for their help in not only diagnosing issues with our two cars, but also determining the best solution. Most recently we had a bent rim caused from the last winter storm and they fixed it for us free of charge, without the diagnostic fee! Definitely appreciate them and thank them for always being a quick and friendly solution to our automotive problems.

2022-04-04They went above and beyond to fix our van for us. We needed ball joints, tie rods, and an alignment. They got right to work on it and showed me exactly what was about to break. They were cheaper than several other shops I had already called as well. Brandon was very personable and easy and explained everything very well.

2022-05-25Never again. They are the sleazy car types who overcharge on subpar quality and offer poor customer service. I went for a tire change months ago to have them attempt to charge me over $700 for the car change and an unauthorized break check. I was able to stop that but that only frustrated them. They did trick me on another aspect of the service which became apparent recently, but I fixed it with Conrads in Copley. If they can take advantage of you, Mr. Tire will exploit whoever. Go to Conrads some other mechanics. Conrads was significantly fairer, better customer service, better quality, and respectable. I will never go to a Mr. Tire again and hope you dont make the same mistake I did.

2022-05-16Mounted a set of four tires. One of the tires had a slow leak. Took the wheel off and brought it up to have it checked, employees told me the shop was closed Sunday despite Sunday hours being posted online. What kind of employees show up on Sunday to NOT work? Brought the tire in today shortly after they opened, came back in the afternoon and they didnt even look at it but lied and said they did. Both times I was in, the place was a ghost town, with no customer cars in the bays or in the parking lot and one employee playing games on his phone in the corner. I just took the tire back so I can find a competent shop that knows how to mount a tire properly.UPDATE: Second tire shop confirmed the first shop was lying. When confronted for a refund, the guy at Mr. Tire started screaming at me and attempted to physically assault me. Corporate says a district manager *may* call me back tomorrow.

2022-01-29I made an 11am appointment and the bald guy at the counter didn’t even know my vehicle from previous visits and he was rude said I would have a 45 minute wait so what’s the point of an appointment? I was going to ask the guy about new tires but he didn’t seem like he liked his job so I decided to leave and take my business else where… Go to Take 5 on State Rd if you want good Customer service and a friendly experience!

2022-01-24If you think $400 is a good deal for front and back brakes, this is the place for you!If you think its reasonable to charge a $94 diagnostic fee for 15 minutes of a mechanics time, to have this person tell you that you need new brakes, WHEN YOU CAME IN AND SAID I NEED BRAKES, then this is definitely your kind of business!What a bunch of con artists.

After another local tire place (Ace Tire on Main Street in Akron) broke my ready sensor in my tire and made ME pay to replace it (which is another review all together), I stopped at Mr. Tire on State Road in Cuyahoga Falls to see if anyone could help me with the new sensor, since I dont speak car. Gary not only got me squared away but also had a real compassion for what was going on. I was so upset with the other place, but e made a very bad experience at Ace Tire a very good one at Mr. Tire. Ace, where my family has been going to for decades, will no longer be getting my business. Mr. Tire will. Gary is an asset to the company, and I think someone should take notice of that. So, I am leaving a review in the hopes that someone will. Thanks.
