We do not take our vehicles anywhere else. George and his team are honest and have saved us money numerous times where other companies may have tried to charge us for items we dont truly understand. They are detailed and have always completed our services on the same day as drop off.
10 outta 10 recommend... my sister took her car in for a busted head gasket and many other issues... they got them all straightened out and had to send items out to other places to get fixed and they still did it in a timely and efficient manner.... the best and most amazing auto repair establishment I have been to in a while 🥰
Genuinely had a great experience here. George is professional, honest and an absolute hoot to talk to. His story on how he got into the business had me walking out the door laughing. He was able to get me in the same day, and had my car ready for pick up within 2 hours. I have found my new mechanic. Mr. Tire is lucky to have him and his staff as employees. I knew my tire had a nail in it and I want to put off getting new tires for as long as possible. My partner went on Monday and recommended this location. So, I called this location on a Monday, George was able to make an appointment on a Wednesday. I go there on that Wednesday morning, at 9am. Keep in mind I had to be at work at 11am. I dropped my car off and less than 45 minutes late, it is ready for pick up. They seemed extremely busy so Im glad they were able to fit me into their busy schedule for a simple tire patch. Great customer service! I plan on going again for my car maintenance!
George and his crew were absolutely amazing! I had to get my struts and brakes replaced along with some diagnostic issues. George conjured a few coupons to reduce the price within my range. Also the crew worked diligently through the workday and into overtime just to finish my repairs so I could get to work the next day. I would definitely recommend this Location.
I was in a pinch as I had just gotten a flat tire, and was under a real time crunch as I needed to get to work. And the amazing team at Mr. Tire stepped up in a big way by getting a new tire on my car, and being able to complete the job within my tight time constraints. This location has excellent customer service! I had a check engine light on for over 6 months. I took my car to two different shops and had no luck at all. My car only has 72,000 miles on it and I was so frustrated that nobody could figure out the problem. Well I’ll just say this shop was great! David listened to what was happening to my car and gave me some information and a quote over the phone. He took my car in right way and had it fixed within a hour and a half. My check engine light is finally off. “THANK YOU” David and team.
These guys give such great service and were so amazing to work with. My wife had had positive experiences with them getting oil changes, etc with them but I recently experienced their service first hand. I realized I had a leaking tire and dropped it off elsewhere - close to where I work for convenience. They told me the tire wasnt able to be repaired, but they didnt have the size tire I needed. I drove home on a donut, none the wiser of any other concerns, calling everywhere to find a place that could get me a tire in less than 5-10 days. Until I talked to Danny at Mr. Tire, he offered to look at my car so he could better serve my need. Turns out I went too long on these tires and need a new set - to my embarrassment. Nonetheless, George & Danny made it a priority and drove out to Chesterland solely to get me the tires I needed so I would be able to have my car back next day.I would never hope for car troubles, but I feel so much better knowing that if I do, these guys are literally down the road and I can trust them! Awesome service! The General Manager George provided excellent customer service. I went in for an oil change and had a check Engine light on. The General Manager diagnosed what my vehicle needed and helped get me going again when I was in a tough spot. I will continue to patronize this Mr. Tire and refer to others.
George and his team are incredible!!! They went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care. They were extremely professional. George is an awesome guy! I went there to get an oil change and the front end inspected, because I thought I heard a clunk noise on a left turn the last time I drove this car. He told that it was possible that there was an obstruction on the road that the tire may have hit, and that couldve been the sound that I heard. I truly appreciate the honesty!! It just goes to show that there are still good people in this world with this pandemic, and all the negative that is going on around us..not everyone is trying to take advantage of you, or rip you off! George was wonderful! I needed my car serviced last minute before leaving out of town. I was stressed that I wouldn’t be able to find a place that could accommodate me as I had been told at two other places it would take 2 days before they could have my car ready. I explained to George that my father had just recently passed and I needed to get back home to be with my mom on Easter. George was more than accommodating. I dropped my car off after hours on Friday and by 9am Saturday he had my car ready knowing I had a 4 hour drive back home. Extremely professional, empathetic and excellent customer service. I highly recommend and will be coming back
I had such an amazing experience with George! He was an absolute pleasure to talk to, broke things down for me very easily, and made sure I was safe going back onto the road (I was visiting from Charlotte NC). Anyone who lives here in Cleveland locally should come get their tires serviced here. He will not rip you off and his goal is to keep you safe!!!
I was on vacation and had a roadside emergency where I needed my truck towed from having a few flat tires. When I called the night before the owner said he’d try to help me out first thing the next morning. He was a man of his word, when I got there the next morning the owner pulled up and when his mechanic showed up they both dissected the problems with my tires, got me patched up and sent me on my way expediently. I can’t stress how thankful I am for the work they did to get me back motoring again. It was really appreciated.
The staff here is great. I have already had a good first experience. I made an appointment for a basic oil change and tire rotation and told them my passenger side door doesn’t open. They don’t do body work, but George went out there and fixed it in less than a minute. I recommend them. Thanks guys!
I have continued to have nothing but great experiences with Mr. Tire over the years. Not only was my car worked on in a professional and timely manner, pricing was fair and I felt as if I could honestly trust the work being done on my car. This location was definitely “community-centered” and everyone was more than kind to me and I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that.I have known George for a couple years now and let me tell you, he does a phenomenal job of running this location. He has a proven track record of building up prior locations to far better than what they were when he started and this location I can guarantee you will do very, very well. He cares about the clients and will treat you like family.All in all, I would HIGHLY recommend this location to anyone with any car needs. I was so happy with the service I received from the Lorain location. George the manager was very polite and respectful, they make you feel like family. Mike the mechanic is awesome with his work. I was in desperate need of new breaks on my vehicle. Due to my insane work schedule it was tough to find the time to get it done. The guys at Mr Tire in westpark, did a fantastic job! Helpful, courteous and knowledgeable; they also fit me into their very busy schedule on short notice. I wish I could give them more stars. Great experience!!! Have a stressful hectic life like most of us do. Absolutely need my car. Heard a noise in my tire and was scared to drive it or take it anywhere to get looked at. Scared I’d be ripped off. They brought me back and showed me the problem. Kept me informed every step of the way. And the cost was great! I was worried the bill would be ridiculous and unacceptable but not the case at all. The manager was super friendly and kept my car for a couple of hours and had me back on the road. Would recommend to anyone! Thank you for being the easy thing in a world that isn’t so easy most of the time!

I had been coming to this location, for years, when it was Tim and his crew. Then the management changed, some kids that were all about the money and not the customer(this realized, a thousand plus $, later) Now heres George! I am so glad, I tried them again. Sent my GF to have tires put on our Tahoe. They never asked her if she wanted the white letters facing outwards (I paid extra for white letters). They never gave her an option to keep the old tires (dry rotted mudders that could have been used on a mud toy). Then they proceeded to put the new tires on with out being able to do a wheel alignment due to there being play in the gearbox shaft (if there was play in the shaft it would immediately wear out the seal and leak power steering fluid. Its not leaking any fluid and the steering is tight and sensitive.) We will now be wearing out brand new tires until I can get time to check over the suspension and make any necessary repairs and get the wheel alignment done.
It is a sincere pleasure to write this review...... excellent experience at Mr. Tire...... George and his staff are caring and meticulous with my tires and wheel alignment ..... (after this, i would trust them to perform an emergency appendectomy, should i needed one)...... i encourage you to give them a try!
I recently got a flat tire and the people at this mr. tire helped get me back on the road in no time. I would also like to add that they were very nice and professional and helped alleviate my stress about the situation. I would absolutely recommend this location and plan on using it in the future.
Went in today for an oil change and had a great experience! Mike was super helpful and able to squeeze me into his busy day. He had it done in a timely fashion too! They even did a full check on my car! It was very nice and I learned a lot about my recently bought, used car. I will definitely be going back and recommending my friends to go to this location!
George (manager) welcomed me with outstanding customer service and honesty. I had an issue with my rear control arm which made it unsafe to drive. George took a look at it and after digging a little deeper, he realized theres a recall for my 2013 Nissan Altima. He suggested I take it in to get the recall done and politely asked me to bring the car back in to do all the other basic stuff needed. 1/25/2021: Editing this review because the new Mr. Tire (formerly Monro) is just absolutely outstanding. George is thorough, helpful, and a great teacher. He truly values the relationships hes building at this new store, and is communicative, transparent, and courteous. He has gone the extra mile to make sure Im getting the best price for my repairs and that my car is in excellent shape when I leave. I see myself being a very loyal customer here for as long as Im in Cleveland.July 2020: Ive been coming to this Monro for regular oil changes for about 2 years and it is truly some of the best service Ive ever received. Admittedly, I dont know much about cars and am often intimidated by my own lack of knowledge to ask for more information, but the professionals at Monro are so helpful and totally nonjudgmental when explaining things. I couldnt recommend them more!
I called to get a quote for new brake pads and rotors. I was told they could not provide a quote without seeing the vehicle first. When I agreed to bring my vehicle in, the worker told me to bring the printout of the estimate from the dealer I went to the day before. I guess they wanted to use that to determine how much they would charge me. Unbelievable! I canceled the appointment a couple of hours later when I realized I was probably going to be taken advantage of. Why would you need the dealers estimate?
My husband went and got new tires put on for me. Fast forward a few months and I hit a darn pothole. Called mr. Tire and George went above and beyond to locate a new tire for my vehicle and get me all fixed up. Nice to have a place so close to home right in the heart of westpark that will really go the extra mile. Would definitely recommend. Thank you guys!
On December 16 my Alternator died on my car while I was driving so I had my roadside assistance tow it to Mr. Tire which is walkable to me. I worked directly with the manager George Lattimer who was in communication by phone. He was upfront about the cost, time constraints, delays and answering questions. When I mentioned I worked nights he even timed his calls to later in the day so as not to wake me up. I would highly recommend them to friends and family for car service needs.
I had some recurring issues with a CHECK ENGINE light on my Corolla. I took it to Monro/Mr. Tire on Lorain in Kamms Corner. Geroge Lattimer the manager, took all the infomation and codes from previous diagnostics, and was able to locate the problem. He explained everything that was needed, and the options for service. He ran several tests, kept the vehicle overnight to ensure the tests and problems would not happen again, and personally worked on my car. He will NOT add costs and parts to a repair job that is not needed, and his work ethic is second to none. George ran tests that otherwise would have cost several hundred dollars and did these tests as a service from previous work done here before. He is an asset to this location and to Monro/Mr. Tire. I would highly recommend George Lattimer to anyone needing honest, expert, and caring auto service. He made sure the problem would not happen again, and searched for the best possible prices and options. Very satisfied is an uncerstatement, and if I could, would give a GALAXY of stars. Thank you to George and his staff at this location for all their expert and professional workmanship.

Went in for oil change found out that since my last visit both the manager & my tech had both retired. I was worried since Van has been working on my cars for over 13 years but the new team took care of my car. Mike the new manager is nice & he patiently answered all my questions. Just not happy with the companies change to their policies. They now charge extra for rotating your tires.
Scheduled online days in advance. Provided every detail possible about my request and invited them to call with any questions or concerns. I receive a confirmation email. The day of the appointment arrives and I call ahead - just to confirm that were still scheduled for my appointment. The receptionist confirmed. Upon arriving for my appointment, Im immediately advised they wont touch my car due to company policy surrounding my request. Fine, fair enough - company policy is policy. But why would they confirm my appointment twice if they were gonna waste my time by making me show up, just to tell me they cant service me? They had my number and could have easily texted or called prior to my 2pm appointment time that I scheduled days in advance. Quite the display of poor communication and disregard for customers time. Wont be coming back.
Really bad experience. The first thing the worker was just using the phone and not working. I gave my car for an oil change and they took 5 hours. I use to do an oil change every time from there because I was an old customer and they use to give great service but this time they just messed up my car. I didnt know that oil was spilling until I gave our car to one of our known mechanic for repair. We found out that due to spilling, oil was almost empty and our car wasnt working properly. The act of carelessness just frustrates me that how people can be so negligent with others property? Looks like they just want us to come back so that they can earn more money after messing up others car.

The guys here are great. I learned about them through Tire Rack, but they repeatedly earn my business (as Tim always says when he picks up the phone) going the extra mile. I just had my car in for its 100mi. service. In addition to this service they removed a hitch that had been bent and stuck good when someone rear-ended my car. Nice guys, fair prices, and gives you more information and choices rather than trying to sell you on services or rush you through like some high-volume places.
Got a flat tire on the way to work today, Monros slipped me in for a late afternoon and told me they would change all 4 tires for me even though it was last minute and I didnt have an appointment. I commute from out of the area so this was a huge lifesaver. Tires at a reasonable cost and quick friendly service. They wouldnt even let me carry my damaged tire out of the trunk, they took care of everything! Absolute great service, and a total lifesaver, will definitely recommend to everyone!
Now that weve found this Monro Muffler, were customers for life! Highly, highly recommended.They have fair pricing, flexible hours, communicate and discuss all issues clearly (and in laymens terms!), and always give top customer service.This past week I was worried my car was overheating. Monro looked it over, ran the same test twice to confirm their findings and reported back that there wasnt any problem, the car was doing what it was supposed to keep the engine cool. They went into the car manual and even put in their report the pages so I could quickly find it if I wanted to read further.All this for .... no charge. What car service does all that for you for free?! You wont find a more fair and generous auto place. Go here!
So I was at my buddies house for breakfast and I go back out to my car and I see I have a completely flat tire on my truck. I called 3 different places before I called Monro only because the tire that I had was a specific make and model so I called that store 1st, Period, for no other reason. When Adam answered the phone at Monro, I could tell he imediately wanted to help me. I briefly told him who else I had called prior and I told him the same thing I told the other individuals I was very direct in what my problem was and what I needed and I did not want to be sold four new tires. Adam was very prompt he jumped right into asking me a couple of questions and he immediately gave me 2 different prices based off the information I gave him and told me as long as I could get it in today before 4 oclock he would definitely be able to have it done in time. I am in sales myself just another segment altogether and I have to be honest, this was the most enjoyable experience that Ive ever had and I will always go back to this specific store and I will certainly return to Monro becasue of Adam. Thank you!!
Just recently had my 2003 corolla repaired @ Monro . Was very satisfied with the service I received. Both Tim & Van took the time to show & explain about the repairs. Had another repair done there in the past and have never been disappointed. They were also quick with the job. Thanks again Tim & Van.
Went there to have my oil change done and the manager George refused to give service because I did not have other work done on my car that had been looked at prior and was told to take my vehicle elsewhere, And said I screwed them out of money. Will never go to this location Again
Recent work on an older vehicle went better than expected and the outcome was as if a new vehicle had been exchanged for the one that was left with Tim and Van. I could not recommend this Monro Muffler and Brake location any higher. I am a 30-year customer of Monro. If you want maintenance or the repair job done correctly, this is the location to go to. I cannot recommend Store #473 any higher from this experience.
Tim is always so kind and helpful. I have been going to them since I moved to Cleveland 5 years ago and they always make sure I know exactly what maintenance is needed without pushing any extras that might break the bank. Service has always been quick when I schedule it and theres a dunkin donuts right next door if I want to have a cup of coffee while I wait.
I really trust Monro. They have always found the real issue and fixed it affordably. I took my Mazda in for a quote on, what i was told from a different shop, was one thing. Tim found the real problem that was 1/3 the cost! While i was there i had him look at my Buick. We were told from a different mechanic that it was the air compressor which would have been $1000+ fix. Tim looked at it and found it was the belt tension. Thanks for being so great Tim and Van!
While I initially chose Monro for proximity to my home and their hours (most places are closed by 5 or 6pm, which doesnt work for a working gal like me who clocks out at 5), I will return for any work I need done on my car because of their excellent service. I went in for an oil change, and they offered to replace my brake pads and rotors after my free inspection revealed that they were past due replacement. All in all-- my car was finished in under 2 hours.The waiting area is small, but there are plenty of shops, restaurants, and coffee houses along Lorain to keep you occupied while you wait.
Have had OK experiences in the past but if you really do your homework, they overcharge a lot of people as we have been twice in the last year.One for brake pads (comparable to after market) they charged my girlfreind $400 when other places with 5 stars charged much less (we learned after we went there and were in a bind)Had a leak in the steering return line and they quoted the same ($400+) and after finding other quotes they were literally TWICE as much as the quotes received from shops in Fairview Park. Just a precaution for all of those who dont mind going here (they do a good job) but comparable parts can be found further down Lorain for much cheaper.. do your homework.
If you need help with exotic vehicles, a 20-min oil-job, or complex repair this is not the place. Small, 4-5 garages. However, the mechanics there are simple, fair, hard-working people. Ive gone to them for years because I know theyll always give me the straight answer, some times admitting theyre not 100% on what is causing a problem, but theyve always been right. Price isnt the cheapest, but its not the most expensive either. They rarely try to sell me on more expensive repair options, and have always inspected the vehicle for free. I always recommend doing your own research on parts for expensive repair, because some places will get better prices then others.
I was in a tricky situation with a tire that unexpectedly needed replacing right before a road trip to Kentucky but Mike took great care of me and my car and ensured this hiccup wouldn’t delay my trip (two hour turn around from walk in). I will absolutely return for any further work.
Apparently they cant do anything right when the management isnt here. They need to clean up their act before I come here again or any Monro for that fact. All I wanted is my oil changed and they screwed up my appointment I scheduled online attest 2 hours before at the closet open time and they never confirmed it and I waited close to 2 hours for what should have been a 45 minute to an hour job, and overcharged for a standard oil change!! 😡
I can not believe the service at this location. I had an oil change and alignment done at the same time about 45 days ago. A day or 2 later I noticed on the freeway that the vehicle was pulling to the left again. So, I took it to a couple other shops locally to see if maybe it was something other than the alignment. Both shops I took it to said the same thing. The alignment was off because the struts on the vehicle were no good and havent been good for around 10,000 miles. Both places also told me that who ever did the alignment should have said something about the struts and never went through with aligning the vehicle. One place even asked where I had it done and when I told him his exact response was, good luck getting them to fix it.After learning that the vehicle needed struts I put struts on the vehicle that same week. I went back up to the Monro and spoke to the manager Tim. He said its not a big deal bring it in and we will redo it. I set the appointment and left. I showed up for the appointment and left the car to get fixed with Tim. While waiting across the street at the Chipotle I got a call from Tim that his tech wouldnt fix the car. I went back to talk to his tech. The lead technician and assistant manager, Van, pulled me into the garage and told me he wasnt redoing the alignment because someone was ripping me off and trying to take my money by telling me I needed new struts when I didnt. I told him I was the one that did the struts and the pistons were leaking which is an obvious sign the struts are bad and have been bad. He then gave me another excuse that because I fixed it and didnt have a receipt from a shop doing the work that he wasnt going to do it. My car had over 150,000 miles on the original struts...the alignment should NOT have been done to begin with. Van took it upon himself to ignore his manager and pull me into the garage knowing that he was going to yell at me and refuse the work. In the 15 minutes I was gone he didnt even remove the tires and look at it. He out right just refused. So not only did he take my money up front by doing work that shouldnt have been done when the vehicle needed other work, but he refused to own up to the mistake and spend the 30 minutes rectifying the situation. He told me to call the DM and corporate that they wouldnt do anything about it because he was the best tech in Northeast Ohio and works over 13 hours a day.I called corporate and his DM. Both said it was ridiculous to cause this much of a scene and headache over 30 minutes of work with no parts involved. Chris the DM for the area and Trevor in corporate were great. Chris set me an appointment for a couple days from now to go to another shop where they will fix what Van should have done today.TL;DR Van the lead tech and assistant manager at this location is a prick and a crook. Go 3 miles down the road to the location on W 117th. Tell the guys on W 117th that Van at the Lorain Ave location & the best tech in Northeast Ohio sent you.
The prices change depending on who is working that day. Plenty of other shops in the area so do yourself a favor and avoid the threat of being scammed. Its a hostage negotiation when the work is done. You have no choice but to pay the person. How shady is it that they hand write the bill to show you the price breakdown? Perfectly good company computer with all that information. You have been warned... Enter at your own risk!
Seems like culture here has changed with Tim and Val gone :-( Went up to get a slow leak in tire plugged. Told a big staple in side of tire so needed a new one. I replied that was odd and wanted to see tire, asked to put it in my trunk. When going to pickup car had to wait another 50 mins as they broke my tire pressure sensor. Never did get to see that large staple. Good news is that it wasn’t the new manager I dealt with.
My daughter and I were on our way to my sons wedding rehearsal in Medina, when my oil light came on.We stopped in to Monro and ask if they could help the gentleman there said he could check out the oil (little if none in there)He added the oil and sent us on our way Saved the engine and we made it on time to the rehearsal.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
Take good care of my vehicles van is very dilligent and determined when working on my cars very satisfied wish they had some kind of loyalty program to help reward customers like me who have spent thousands of dollars on repairs over the years should think about it monro!
I showed up for my oil change and front desk told me I was late whatever miscommunication when making appointment ..someone came from shop area huge attitude told me he has no time no lift will be available he turned around slam the door walked out clearly they dont need any new business

2022-02-21Woke up to a flat tire on a Thursday and brought my car in right away, they were very busy so it took them a few hours to check it out, but they were very attentive and kept me updated. They were able to order me a new set of tires that arrived the next day, and got me back on all four tires by the end of the day Friday. Excellent work and great customer service, will be going back.

2022-02-03George and Ryan were a pleasure to deal with and I highly recommend them. They got my wifes brakes done in a few hours. After picking up the car right at closing, we discovered a nail in one of the tires when we got home. I called George and he answered and told me to bring it back up. This was well after they had closed. Stand up guys that make sure you are taken care of.

2022-04-19Fast, fair, and affordable services. I shopped the local area in need of what I was told by a couple other shops, which was a simple wheel alignment with the balancing of one of my tires and that wasn’t the case. I had a tire that wobbled and shook the entire car while driving. The mechanics at Mr. Tire were able to discover that the tire was actually getting ready to break off. The manager briefly explained exactly what was going on with my tire and they were able to fix the issue in a timely manner. I definitely would be coming back for other services

2022-02-03I came in with a flat tire during one of the worst snowstorms of the year. I was scared and panicked. George did not hesitate to get me in and start working on my car immediately. Not many store managers will have a conversation with you while you wait, but George was more than willing to comfort and reassure me about my car situation. He was very detailed and thorough in his work and explained to me exactly what they were doing with my tire to find & fix the problem. One conversation and you can tell George is an expert in his field, but you can also tell that he is very caring and dedicated to his customers. He treats you like family and he really saved the day for me. Today was my first time coming to George’s store and I can tell you with certainty that I will be a lifetime customer. 2022-04-18I’ve been going to this location for years and the new management is doing a great job. I had my oil changed today and the manager, George, took time to explain and teach me things about my Jeep so I can make educated decisions and take care of it properly. Very friendly and non pressure environment. Highly recommend this location.

2022-07-23Went to Cleveland for the weekend and got a flat tire 25 miles from our destination. George was beyond extra helpful and got me right in and installed 4 new tires for me. Extra thankful because I was traveling with my daughters and a friend, and tires and car issues are usually my husbands thing!!! I only dealt with George, the general manager, but he was friendly, outgoing, understood my concerns and took all worry out of the equation, a real customer-oriented professional. He even offered to arrange for a ride home for me while my car was in the shop. Could not recommend this place higher. Now I have a place to take my car for whatever ails it.
