Chad was my plumber and he knew what he was doing. Him and his team went over and beyond. I had sewage pipes replaced and an entire home water system. Water softer heater filter etc... the sewage pipes they had to correct from a cheaper plumbing company that didn’t do they’re job. So you really get what you pay for and now my water is amazing thanks to chad. I had other companies come out and they lied to me about the problem and when chad got here he showed me pictures and videos of the water just running out my pipes. I really felt like he was on my side and I could trust and I’m really glad I did because I’m so happy with the work they did.
As fate would have it my kitchen sink backed up on a Friday night. I searched on google for a plumbing company with great reviews and one that was also open on the weekends. I called Mr. Rooter and spoke with a very helpful and courteous staff member by the name of Missy, who told me that she would send a technician out to me early Sunday morning. The technician Chad was at my house by 9:00am the problem was diagnosed along with a few minor repairs . The job was was done fast and efficiently at a fair price.Great service, great staff. I would definitely recommend.
We came home from work to our garage, laundry room, and bathroom flooded in the lower level of our home. I called Mr. Rooter who had someone at our home in 30 minutes! Craig was our technician and he was so friendly, knowledgeable, and really shared so much of his knowledge with us. It was evident that he wanted to help us as much as possible. He was unable to get the caps off of our main water line so he took apart our toilet to unclog the drains in the foundation. He explained why the flooding was occurring to the point where we could understand. He was helpful in offering suggestions for different companies to use for drywall damage quotes when we asked and others with a percentage off program they had. He called to schedule a visit from a tech to come tomorrow and use a camera to look for roots in our line in the yard. It took him maybe an hour to fix the problem. We are very appreciative for the evening visit and quick fix! Thank you so much!
Our technician Eric was wonderful! He provided us with more than 1 option, all with a different price point. That made it very easy to get the work completed within our budget. No other company had done that! He was very thorough during the estimate and the repairs. Eric took his time and made sure things were done correctly. He was extremely professional! We will be repeat customers in the future should we need anything else done for our home!
I called Mr. Rooter after our toilet backed up into our bathtub today. We had them out a few months ago to clear a soft clog and recieved a 3 year warranty on the work. They were able to show up within 3 1/2 hours and got the clog cleared. 2 different techs, same profesional results. Chad was extrememly informative, and extrmely polite! I have a peace of mine knowing we have a warranty still.
We had some trouble with the plumbing company sent from our home warranty for about a month, and were unable to use our dishwasher or washing machine without the pipes backing up and flooding our basement. We ended up calling Mr. Rooter, and they were able to send someone out the same day. Mike was very polite and professional, fixed the issue right away, helped up with a coupon to save a few bucks, and even waited while we ran the dishwasher and washing machine to ensure the problem was taken care of! I highly recommend them, 10/10 would call again. Thanks to Mike!!
My phone contact Mary was very helpful and informative. The response time from my phone call to the time the technician arrived was unexpectedly quick. The technician (Zack E.) explained things well, did a clean and professional job ,he was quick but took the time to do the job right. I will recommend Mr Rooter and Zack to others and will use there services in the future.
Two years ago I paid $95. The initial charge that was quoted was $260. A 250% increase in two years. I called the main office and they would not offer any discounts. Then, I search the website while the technician is in my home and find a coupon for $159 and they accept it. Why wouldnt someone tell me that? Dont they want to earn my confidence? Dont they want to be my go to choice for plumbing and drain maintenance? Why be deceitful about it? It just seems like an odd way to demonstrate customer care but making the customer hunt and seek for coupons.I own rental properties in another community and they dont charge $260 to get on the roof and clean the main line! The technician was terrific and explained all of the issues. Very competent. I will certainly give him 5 stars and $159 is very fair for the work. $260 is far out of line.
Franklyn was an AMAZING service technician! He was patient, thorough and took his time on the project until the my drain was completely clear. It was evident that he was experienced! He was also very friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend Mr. Rooter to anybody with plumbing need! The prices were absolutely perfect! Thanks again!
Professional service. The men were very friendly and knowledgeable of the service they were providing. I especially appreciate that they put on shoe protection before they entered my home. The only complaint I have is that the estimate I was given for another repair was for that day only and it did not include the price of the faucet. Other than that I was very pleased and would use them again.
First time using Mr.Plumber. Pleasantly surprised by the friendliness and willingness to answer questions. Very focused on the job at hand as well as clean-up after. Comparably priced, prompt and very easy to make an appointment time workable for our schedule. Recommend checking these folks out!
Mr. Rooter came to my senior parents home and gave an excessive quote for an unnecessary job. The techs were polite, but when I said that the price was too high they called their manager to see what they could do. There quote was over $500 to clear a line, including removing a toilet to access the line. I called another company to get a second quote and they accessed the line from the roof vent and cleared the line for $175. No mess of removing and replacing a toilet. Great Job.If you dont give me your best price upfront then you are cheating those too afraid to say no. Im glad I was there to keep them from taking advantage of my parents.
We had an odor coming from our lower level shower and with an hour of calling, we had two extremely courteous and professional individuals checking out the issue. These guys were quick, informative, and offered an immediate solution. Work even comes with a 6 month warranty. I absolutely recommend Mr. Rooter!
I had Mr Rooter come out and look at my garbage disposal, which they replaced a year ago, which stopped working all of a sudden. The initial instillation was a nightmare as well. When I called I specifically said I had not been happy with their service the first time, and only wanted an estimate on fixing it. Mr Rooters plumber did removed a foreign object from my garbage disposal, while out on an estimate only call. He stated “that was nothing I won’t charge you for it. Call the 1-800 # on the garbage disposal it’s broken” he didn’t attempt to look at it further after that. The second company fixed it in 2 seconds. While I was trying to explain this to the woman at Mr Rooter she talked over me, was rude and hung up. The second company stated any well trained plumber should have caught the issue, which Mr Rooter did not. Mr Rooter’s technician said the motor was burnt out, it wasn’t, and I had to have another company come in to fix the problem. When I called back to notify Mr Rooter that they had caused me a hefty bill by having to call out another company, the woman I spoke to was extremely rude, didn’t let me finish telling her what had happened, and hung up on me. That it’s 2 negative experiences I have had with this company. They lie about the cost of labor and parts, and are extremely rude. Do not use the Dayton, Ohio location.Your technician was fine with removing an object free but doesn’t look into fixing the problem, just takes a stab in the dark. How is it a second company comes out and does the same thing, and is able to complete the job. Not my fault your technician tried to “fix” it for free. I simply asked for reimbursement because the second company stated any well trained plumber should have seen that the second they got to the job and suggested I ask for reimbursement. If the answer is no, fine, but no need to yell and be rude.
Great customer service and the price is right!!!! The guys are always very nice and friendly. They also know what their doing and stand behind their work! (and they don’t leave a mess!!) It’s always really easy to get someone to come out if you have an emergency or not. Mr. Rooter is my go to for any plumbing issue I have!
My experience was a nightmare. The initial visit to unclog my main drain was fine, the equipment broke off in my drain but the technician was very nice and finally got his equipment out. I was told an inspector would come out to make sure it was not going to be an issue. NEVER do business after the initial drain cleaning. That is when everything changed and the major expenses came in. The regional manager did return my money but I will not deal with them again.
On time, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Doug was here exactly on time and worked for 3 hours doing everything he could to get my drains open. Unfortunately, my problem required the jetting service. It was very expensive, but I cannot comment on the cost because I have no comparison. It was the evening when Doug left, and the jetting crew were here the next morning at 8 am. They were great, and left my property cleaner than I thought they would. Doug even came back a 2nd time to make sure things were good. I will definitely use Mr. Rooter again.
I hired Mr. Rooter for a job and with many plumbing jobs things went sideways. When you are dealing with 65 year old plumbing, things can always go wrong. But the people at Mr. Rooter came up with an excellent solution to my problem and got everything resolved as quickly as possible at a descent price.
Eric was very professional...The price was reasonable I’m very happy with the services that were provided ...(Chris Sullivan)Update: Eric, Cassidy, Robert, and Spencer (the dream team) I would recommend them to family and friends. They completed some follow-up work to work to make sure my lines were all cleared. Very professional.
The guys I interacted with were great. They thoroughly explained what was going on and what they recommended.I give the company two stars because of price. I called them during a near emergency situation, and they said Id have to replace the main line to the street. They quoted me nearly $8000. I felt pressured to sign with them rather than research other plumbers. That would be my downfall. They did the work quickly, and it seems to be sufficient. However, once I finally got through the claims process with my home warranty, I find out a reasonable cost would be $2000 for the work done.Doing more research on the company, I found Im not the only one who was overcharged.
We recently had Mr. Rooter replace our main drain, from the house to the street. What a mess we had! Mr Rooter came to the rescue!! They replaced everything in a timely manner and had the city inspection done ✅ quickly. They were very careful of a favorite linden tree 🌲 that was in the way and we were left with very little damage. The workers were knowledgeable and friendly and they did a good job with cleanup. We would recommend Mr. Rooter for any of your plumbing needs.
Awesome company, our hot water heater went out just days before Christmas & we called Mr. Rootor Plumbing & they came out that night & the next day being a Sat they installed a new hot water heater with no issues at all. The service guy we had was awesome & top notch!! I would call them again in a min. Def a A+++ company.
I am so frustrated by the lack of follow through and poor costumer service we received. We were booked for 2 separate appointments and even verified that they were coming as planned and twice in a row they called with an hour notice and cancelled. We were understanding and accommodating but it became a patterned response. Even after the second time there was little to no remorse or apology by the company. We missed work and changed plans to be out of town to accommodate the dates and times given to us by this company only for them to not show. When I gently pushed back to the manager, Melissa, (mind you, our main line was backed up and we had sewage in our basement) she was incredibly rude and unapologetic to me and ultimately just hung up on me. They have lost a customer for life. So put off by the poor excuse of customer service.
After waiting two days for Mr. Rooter to come out, I was scheduled for an afternoon appointment. I didnt hear from them all afternoon. I called twice and was told each time that I was next on the list and they would be coming out. At seven in the evening they called and cancelled on me! I had a basement full of water and could have called another plumber had I not been waiting on them all day. Then I was told it would be another two days before they would be able to come back out. I did not use there service and received exceptional service elsewhere. Will not be calling them again.
Had used in the past with great service and price. Absolute rip off now to spend $306.00 for 20 minutes to clear a sink drain. I called them without second thought because of the heat service and price on the past. Todays cost was outrageous and all the office can say is.. our standard pricing I dont begrudge a company profit but this is nonsense. I will be certain to share the news about my experience.
The technician of Mr. Rooter is very professional. While the technician of Roto-Rooter tell me that I need to pull the whole kitchen cabinet out for them so they can fix the bursted pipe inside with a BIG extra cost, John Desilva from Mr. Rooter can just crawl inside the small hole and replace the pipe. It only take 2 hours for him to replace the old water softener and fix the pipe inside the wall, which I think it will take a whole day to finish if a amateur like me do it.Definitely will call them if something happen again. 👍👍👍
Called on Sunday with a water heater problem. Repair man came out, took less than 2 minutes to decide I needed a thermocouple replaced. Told me they couldnt get one until Monday morning, and would be out around noon Monday to do the repairs. I was fine with this and scheduled the appointment. Fast forward to Monday at 1:30, no sign of Mr. Rooter and no phone call. I call them and they tell me that they are running behind but will definitely be out. 5:30, still no sign of them. I call them again trying to get an idea of when theyre coming, Im told theyre not sure but Im scheduled at the first stop after noon today. 6:30 I finally get a call from them telling me theyre not coming out today and asking what time would be good tomorrow. I already took a day off work to be home for an appointment 6 and a half hours ago. Called Roto-Rooter at 6:30, had a tech at my home by 8:30. Will never call Mr. Rooter again.
Had a problem with a clogged drain. $329 for about a half hours worth of work. The technician was very personable and friendly. Then, they offered to do a free camera inspection of the pipe to my septic system. I scheduled it for the next day between 9-12. They neglected to say that it was their policy to call before coming and called my wifes phone. She is a school teacher so she didnt see the call at the time. So, she talked to them, gave them my phone and rescheduled for between 2-4 that afternoon. They never showed up and finally called me about 6PM wanting to come out then. It was not convenient at that time so we scheduled it for the next day between 10-12. They never showed up and never called. So, essentially I burned a day and a half waiting for them to show up and they never did. And, didnt bother to call on the second day.
Aaron was very knowledgeable and appeared to have a lot of experience on slow running drains by explaining the problem and providing the best solution. He also sold me a relatively inexpensive product that will hopefully keep my shower drain running clear for months or perhaps years to come.
Worse company ever. They have incompentant workers and are overpriced. Gave me a price of 900, cut a hole in my drywall with a saw- which cut through an electric line. Told me the company would pay for electrician. Did not have hoses hooked back up correctly on washer, turned water back on, hoses popped off and sprayed all over laundry room soaking everything. Said he cleaned his mess up. Which I had to do when he was gone. Tried to tell me they couldnt get an electrician out until the next day. I had to call the company and tell them they will send on out that same day. When he was finished, told me price was 1200. Had the nerve to also tell me my water heater was bad when ther is nothing wrong with it and gave a quote of 1500 to replace it. Nothing was wrong with the water heater. Did not give any kind of receipt for the work. So I know they charged me for the electrician for their mess up. And I still have a huge hole in my drywall. GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR PLUMBING NEEDS!!
Our maindrain backed up around Christmas and we initially had Apollo home come out unclog the drain (we had never used them before) Apollo came out unclogged the drain and it was reclogged less than 24 hours later. Apollo would not come back out without us repaying for a service that was not fully completed the first time! After a bad experience with Apollo, we tried Mr. Rooter and we were extremely satisfied. Although it was a bit costly, the flow was restored the first time and we havent had any problems since. They stand by there work! ...The bonus was that the were available the day before Christmas eve.
If I could rate a zero, I would. Proceed with caution when doing business with the Dayton Ohio Mr. Rooter! Technician came to my home and charged a fee of $571 to unclog a basement drain that I normally pay anywhere from $80-$150 max! Then, had the nerve to say I can do it less than Mr. Rooter for $285. We showed this slimy character the door!!!
Absolutely disappointed. Previously had decent service. Scheduled online and received a confirmation email. Called the day of service call to be informed they had nothing in the computer. Rescheduled for later the same day. Ended up calling again near the end of the scheduled time. Told they had called multiple times attempting to come earlier in the day. And had rescheduled us for the next day. I had one missed call for the entire day. No message was left. The wife had received absolutely no calls from anyone all day. And when and how were going to inform me that you had taken it upon yourselves to reschedule me? They had a email address and two phone numbers and you seriously expect us to believe that we couldnt be reach. BS totally. Rest assured that the so called Advantage plans we have on our properties and businesses will not be renewed.
We called on a Monday at 6:45 and they had someone out here by 7:20. We had a leak with water puddled under our sink and James Henry was thorough and had our sink/disposal fixed quickly. He was fair in pricing, professional, worked quick and we were very satisfied with our results. We will call and use them again if needed in the future and we will be asking for James.
So glad I saw the Mr Rooter ad in Reach magazine. I appreciate the advance call to let me know the plumbers name and that he would be there within an hour. When Travis arrived he was neatly dressed , polite and informative. I had several questions about plumbing and he answered everything in a clear and concise manner. He rapidly resolved my problem and did not leave a mess. I am looking forward to using Mr Rooter for future jobs. They charge by the job and not the hour so no big surprise when finished. I definitely recommend Mr Rooter and Travis.
I am very glad I chose Mr. Rooter to fix our bathroom shower. Robert G. gave us excellent service and helped us save money. Mr. Rooter has an Advantage Plan that gives discounts and has special services for members. I would recommend this plumbing service to anyone in need.
I don’t know about all the techs because I simply don’t know all the techs employed by mr. rooter. I can tell you however that Tyler was such a polite young man who took pride in his work. He was not pushy by trying to sell me additional services in addition to fixing my problem . Had he done this, mr. rooter would be off my list of plumbers to contact. Tyler did make me aware of options to consider but left it at that. The next time I use mr. rooter for plumbing, I will specifically request that Tyler is sent to my home(no I’m not related to him). It was just a pleasure to be treated so respectfully. It was like having someone with the politeness of a Chick Fil A employee that possessed plumbing skills. To the owner I say, “hang on to this guy”
Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Nothing but crooks! My toilet and bathtub were stopped up and washer was backing up into the bathtub. Mike came out and told me I did not have a clean out so he would have to pull my toilet out to clean the drain. Then, after telling him I heard water flowing near a pipe in the ground inside my house he examined it and told me the pipe was deteriorated and needed replaced. Which would mean jackhammering my floor and costing over $7,000. Also told me who ever installed my water heater didnt know what they were doing. Thats funny because my water heater is from 1991 and it works just great! Then he proceeded to tell me they recommend replacing every 6 years standing there looking at me like Im going to do it. DUDE just get out of my house already!!! Please dont call these people. I called All Drain and within seconds they located my clean out, cleared the main drain and only two hundred dollars to boot! Even if I really didnt have a clean out as I was told, all they had to do was get on the roof and clean it that way. This company just wants to take you for a ride.
Couldnt have been less professional! My landlord called them on Saturday for emergency service. They were supposed to call back that afternoon but never did. I told her to reschedule so I could sleep before my 3rd shift job. The landlord rescheduled for Monday morning 8am. I waited for about an hour until almost 9am and decided mr. Rooter had blown us off once again. I did receive a few phone calls from their dispatch but at this point I was preoccupied at my other job. Eventually 2 technicians showed up an hour after being dispatched at 1pm. Upon arrival they tried to hastily enter the home in which a boxer pitbull mix also lives, so I had to hault them as soon as I answered the door. Fast talking and arrogant, I could see right away this guy should not be in home servicing. In fact if I hired them I would have cancelled upon meeting. Once they finally got to work in the basement, they carried on as if no one was home. Swearing, singing, and making loud remarks. Very unprofessional. Although it was quick, they left a mess when they were done. Water and sludge left behind with drips across the floor from the equipment. I specifically heard them talk about hurrying up to get home. From start to finish mr. Rooter was a terrible experience for us. I tend to think some corners were cut since the homeowner was not present. Highly unsatisfied.
When I first called, I asked for a ballpark figure for how much it would cost to clean out a line in our basement. I was told that they dont give estimates over the phone. I was a little apprehensive about that, but scheduled an appointment. Jerry was at my house within the hour, quoted me a price of $150-175. He was very polite, cleaned the drain quickly, and at the price quoted. There is a 6 month guarantee on the work! Thanks and I will definitely recommend Mr. Rooter to friends and family.
Austin Guerrero came to our house when we experienced problems with our toilet. He explained everything so thoroughly. Also, he and the folks in the office were terrific about a misunderstanding over whether we had signed up for a loyalty membership last summer. We were so sure that we had, and they gave us the benefit of the doubt. We will remain members, for sure, and will take them up on a helpful estimate for future work if our circumstances permit.
I called in a work order on Monday at 10am and was told that we were next on the list and someone would be out that day. It is Wednesday at 11pm. Guess what. ... were still next on the list. Apparently they have had a job that has lasted 3 days. Some simple honesty would have been great on Monday. I could have called another plumber and had them fix the issue that day.
Admittedly, I was skeptical about proceeding with the job without getting a second opinion; however, I felt confidence with the service technicians explanation. I was able to review and see the problem before action occurred. At first I was told that the problem would take 3 days to fix, but the service contractors performed all duties in one day. Kudos to Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Dayton (not Roto)!
Amazing, Amazing Service...Daryl is definitely the most precise, and proficient plumbing expert I have ever met. I needed a leaky/clogged drain fixed and he made that possible without any further problems. (In a timely AND professional manner). I more than appreciate all of his hard work and efforts. Thank you Darly M. for giving me and my little ones our bathroom back....YOU ARE AWESOME!!
Summary: If they make a mistake, they will not fix it! Instead they infer winning in court if you dont sign.PART 2:I’ve had Mr. Rooter do many jobs at my house, from fixing our garbage disposal to replacing large portions of our sewer line. The most recent work they have completed for me has most affected their rating from my perspective, from 5 stars to 1 stars. It will remain such until they fulfill the work I set forth and correct the issue. We still have had backups since part 1 (below) from an (old) job from previous owners in our front yard. A recent backup has convinced my wife and I to take Mr. Rooter up on “perma lining” our sewer drain. I was given a quote back in November for the work, so I called them up to do the work.. The quote I had was for $5300. The local franchise was now under different owners and would not honor the quote as I had (on their paper). They instead gave me a new quote for slightly different solution. The new solution was to line the pipe from the PVC work (below) in our basement to the city main for $6500. This is what I was told would be done. On the sheet, the tech wrote 55 feet of perma line pipe as well as “lining from PVC to city main”. He did some number work to get this figure. After installing the new “permaline pipe” I come to find the length of pipe did not meet the contract, however, it was 55 feet of perma line (stated). The new pipe stopped 8 feet short of the PVC pipe. The closing tech informed me of shrinking factors, can’t overestimate, what have you.. All I know is I was told it would cover the entire pipe, and it didn’t come close. 8 feet short. 8 feet of our cast iron under the house is not covered. The tech and I debated for awhile, and it is true I was getting a good deal for the pipe they did install however they did not fulfill my request and cover the entire line, nor were they willing to correct the issue.. Because 55 feet was listed in the contract (but they derived that?) He gave me a warranty on the pipe that was not covered with permaline for 5 years.I signed their papers and paid the amount due after some consideration. I do not want to get caught up in a court case, nor do I wish to make enemies when overall they have been good to me and have decent employees. God will sort it all out in the end.PS: They charged me for “jetting the line” (which Ive seen them do before) and NEVER JETTED THE LINE. I watched the whole time.PART 1:Mr. Rooter quoted me $3100 to fix a hole in the sewer line under our foundation. In addition, they not only fixed the hole, they replaced more than 6 of cast iron piping and gave us a brand new floor drain! In short, they did significantly more work for significantly less money. With the camera they were able to detect and inform me of another job (done before we bought the house) that Roto-Rooter didnt even mention! And the issues developing around the poor quality of that (not Mr. Rooter or Roto-Rooter) work (new house to us). They provided a quote to fix these other issues.PROS: hard-working, they TRY to put the customer before the green, they TRY to do a good job the right way. Workers are extremely polite, courteous and conversational. All work hard and are smart enough to know when they need advice.CONS: timeliness is horrible. They do not keep you updated on the status of work. The latest job was stated they would finish TUESDAY and they didn’t finish until FRIDAY. This is consistent. Words are not worth much to them. There seems to be a lack of communication throughout the company. Training of servicemen could be improved. The jobs took longer than expected. Jobs that Could be done in 1 day turn into a 3 or 4 day jobs due to lack of communication mostly. Communication within company as well as with the customer is poor.If timeliness, contract fulfillment and convenience is your priority, you may desire to choose another company. But if price, and quality servicemen are your priority, Mr. Rooter might be for you.
Attempted to put in a service call for a backed up main line. called to make sure the call actually was put in properly. i cant do laundry or dishes or anything. couldnt get any pricing over the phone. called another company was able to get a price and a specific time for them to be at my door. i do not recommend.
Seemed like they were just there to sell me an enzyme based cleaner for my drain. Wanted to charge me $350.00 to snake. Dropped the price when I declined the cleaner. Then the guy stated that other companies which charge less wont do as good of a job! Its the same snake performing the same action! I should have known better when told after asking customer service the price it would be negotiated with plumber.
The service operator explained my options and the prices and followed up going from the lower end as his first option through to what was actually necessary to solve my issue. He only did the work that was necessary and I didnt feel he was trying to take advantage. It wasnt cheap sings how it was a holiday but I know I got the job done without any extras as in cost. He was friendly and he did the job well I couldnt expect any more than that.
I was very pleased with the service I received from Mr. Rooter! They were timely, efficient and very reasonably priced...especially for a Saturday night! Both technicians were professional and friendly...and didnt leave until the job was done right! I have already recommended them to several people! Thanks for the great customer service!
Awesome Tech! Kind and Professional! I would recommend this company and would use them again if I have plumbing problems in the future. He wore booties on our light carpet, and very polite, he had knowledge of the problem and how to fix it. CALL THIS COMPANY YOULL GET GREAT SERVICE FOR A GREAT PRICE! Thanks Brooks! and Go Ravens!
Arrived right on time. Repairs done quickly and efficiently. Very nice person.Have had trouble with printer so called office for a hard copy of repair worksheet.Young lady who answered phone was very nice, sweet and helpful. Sent a copy out to me right away.Thank you so much.
Terrible work. Even worse customer service. They installed a drain in my basement, 8 inches from the agreed upon spot ( lowest part of the basement where water would of course collect). They have been ignoring messages for 2 months regarding fixing the issue. Now the water just collects around the drain and flows into the other room. $5,000 dollars and I still have the issue I was trying to avoid. Save your sanity and pocketbook, choose someone else. Dishonest business overall!!!
My bathroom drain was just a calamity of errors. So I had to get 2 companies to fix it. Mr. Rooter was the only one to get the drain unclogged. A+ for that! They are very friendly and easy to work with. It does take them a long time to get to your house. I called initially around noon and at 9:30 pm they called saying they could be there in an hour. I have a 1st grader so that couldnt work so they said theyd put me on the books first thing in the morning. I think they arrived around 10ish am. They said there was a part missing/broken from the previous plumbers who couldnt get the drain unclogged. The previous plumbers said it was there when they left. So basically who knows! They each did their own thing to get me back up and running. Mr. Plumber was, by far, more affordable.
Ill never do business with Mr Rooter again. Their technician broke and electrical fixture and they did not fix it. I have to work in the laundry room by lamp light until I can afford an electrician to fix it. Then I will have to file in small claims court to try to get reimbursed.
I called to have someone come look at our bath tub in our new home, same day they sent a young man out. He was very polite and got the job done quickly and anaswerd all my questions and cleaned up his mess after he was done! I would recommend this company to everyone! Dan came out tonight and was awesome so friendly and so helpful! #1 company!!! Thank you
Long story short my basement had backed up pretty bad. My husband and I had another plumbing company come out to look. They wanted to dig my yard up, and cut my pipes. I decided to call, and get a second opinion from Mr. Rooter. We met Earl M who came out, and looked through our pipes with a camera. He was able to clear my pipe line with out digging my yard up. We are very thankful.
City of Covington hired a contractor to replace sidewalks. When contractor was tearing up old concrete they broke the top off the cleanup and allowed gravel to clog up the drain.i contacted Mr. Rooter and they attempted to clean out the drain but there was to much gravel in it to get out. They dug up the drain and replaced the trap with a much larger trap and eliminated the problem. No more basement flooding!
Was told that they know about tankless water heaters and was insured by the woman on phone they would send some one that knows how to work on them I was also told they would look and tell me the problem for free. After the arrival I was called by my wife to talk to the plumber they had sent and he wanted to charge me 260 to look at it and figure out the issue for calling the manufacture and having them trouble shoot it for him after I rejected his offer he insulted me by offering me 10% off to change my mind lol on a supposed free diagnosis later that after noon I called the manufacture got the parts for free and replaced them myself no cost I would not recommend them for tankless water heaters as they seem unaware how to diagnoses them and they will charge you a premium to learn how to work on them on your time do not pay premium cost for a plumber who should allready know what they are doing.
CALL A REPUTABLE PLUMBING COMPANY INSTEAD:Seriously... If you’re having a plumbing issue, whether it be a minor clog, or something more major... save the headache and a LOT of money and CALL A REPUTABLE PLUMBING COMPANY INSTEAD. Someone with a solid track record and FAIR PRICING.Unfortunately MR ROOTER NOT THAT... Not any longer, at least.I had actually used the company a few time over the years. They would generally run the “$95 drain cleaning” special, or something similar, as marketing, to get business. At the time, it wasn’t a bad deal. They’re normally in and out in an hour or 2, you pay your $95, and your good to go. $50-60/hr is generally a pretty typical/standard charge, for companies in this and similar trades. So, that charge was pretty fair. Now, they “under new ownership/management” and it’s a whole different world...Through my recent experience, earlier this week, it’s clear that they’re likely not only unfair to customers, but also to their techs/plumbers... because they’re literally down to 1, apparently. My last experience went as follows:I called the evening before to have a clog cleared. It wasn’t an emergency, so rather than an emergency call, we set the appointment for the next day.I had already noticed that the usual $95 drain cleaning promotions weren’t on their site anymore. So, I brought this up on the call to double-check. The person on the phone mentioned that the coupons come and go etc. blah, blah. So... like anyone would ask... obviously, my next question... “I’ve used you guys a few times before. It’s always been $95 for the cleaning. Is somewhere right around that basically what I can expect?” (They’re trained not to discuss pricing on the phone) To which they replied “I don’t have the pricing in front of me, but yes, it would be very similar pricing” - OK. Great.I was given an appointment window of 1:00-3:00.Already, nobody likes be given these large windows, to where it de-rails your whole day... but you basically just have to roll with it, and make it work. But, 1:00 came... then 2:00... then 3:00.I called in. They said sorry they’re about 30 min away... 3:30 came.4:00... 4:30... 5:00...Finally get a call “He’s on the way”. Somewhere in there they also tell me that they’re down to only 1 tech/plumber at the company (That can’t be good.)5:30 he finally gets here.Walks in looks for about 30 seconds “Yeeeah, just so you know, this is roughly gonna run about $500...“WHAT?!? Fiiive huuundred bucks ?!?. I’ve used you guys seeeveral times before. It’s always been like $95... How did you go from 95 to fiiive huuundred dooollars??”“New owner, this/that, blah blah”“Buddy... there is nooo waaay I’m paying you 500 for an hour or 2 of work. Sorry... Not. A. Chance.”“Let me go out and make a call. Blah blah”Comes back.“Since we made you wait so long (remember I had a 1-3:00 window... and it’s now 5:30... fiiive thiiirty) we can give you a *special discount* and do it for $411.”... Everybody’s time was wasted with that whole scenario. I, of course, did NOT have him do the work. I just did it myself... in just about an hour.I’m not sure whaaat is going on over there... but it’s not right. Not at all.I’m lucky, in that I was capable of performing the job myself... But, someone elderly, or someone less knowledgeable, maybe dealing with something like this for the first time, or numerous other people, could have easily been taken advantage of, in this exact situation.THIS IS NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY. THEY’RE TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE THAT ARE IN A PINCH, THAT DON’T KNOW ANY BETTER, AND *SEVERELY* OVERCHARGING THEM, FOR MINOR/QUICK-TURN REPAIRS.CALL A REPUTABLE, HONEST, FAIR-PRICED PLUMBER INSTEAD.
They did a big job where we had to have the water off overnight. At the very last minute they rescheduled the night for the water to be off THREE times. We had to get different accommodations three nights in a row! When they finally did do the job, they didnt do it right and refused to correct their mistakes!
I called Mr. Rooter after an unpleasant experience with roto rooter... I called Mr. Rooter , technician came out looked at where I thought the leak was coming from advised me it would be cheaper and extremely easy for me to fix it myself and didnt even charge me for the service call very pleased with Mr. Rooter would definitely use them again in the future.
Had them out on 12/30 and the guy hat was here didn’t get the job done but still charged for services that was not satisfactory and said had to have cameras to come out and when I called I was told we could be charged more when they come out tomorrow to fix the problem

2022-03-17The guy came in and unclogged a drain in our kitchen sink that had been clogged for about a month. It was such a huge relief. This was my first time using Mr. Rooter and the entire experience was great. The worker showed up ON TIME, was polite, knowledgeable, and ultimately was able to fix our sink issue. 2022-05-19Matt Duncan was extremely professional. Answered all my questions and informed me on information that I needed as well. They ran a bit late, but promised it was worth the wait. With everything happening today, we must all be patient and appreciate the hard workers. Water heater was fully replaced and he was a great person. Thank you Matt!!

2021-11-04Weve used this company for a few different plumbing issues, and they do a good job, theyre professional, and they stick with you until the job is done. Sometimes they leave and another issue from the same job might pop up within a few days, and they send someone out right away, usually no added charge, depending on what the issue is.We have used a few different plumbers around the area, and I have liked this company more than others, and feel I can trust their prices and expertise. I have felt swindled by some others, especially Roto Rooter. PLEASE dont use them if you can avoid it!

2022-06-06Very dissatisfied about information that was given to us specifically the warranty the technician told me it came with a 3-year warranty it dont come with it it cost me $99 when I called the office to tell them I should have been told that they told me thats for discounts at other places too they can only refund me $4 of the $99 they said they wasnt supposed to offer me that because Im a renter not a homeowner I told him that when I made the appointment and I told him that when he was here will never call them again technician should have gave us all the information I asked for a printout to see what they were charging me line-by-line he told me they could not I had to wait for an email for my invoice
