Eddie Place, Mountaineer Mechanicals owner and Bobby Strong, General Manager, came by our Condo to talk with me about a commercial they were about to create. While they were here, I asked Eddie to check the Bryant unit that was in the condo when we bought it. He found it was rusting out in many areas and not doing the job it should. In fact it was dripping water into the basement garage. In less than an hour I signed a zero percent interest contract a a Trane unit twice the size of the Bryant had been purchased. Bobby set and installation date. On that date Bobby Strong and his crew removed the old unit and installed the Trane .. all in one day. In fact it was 7:36 that evening when Bobby finished. We turned it on and we have never been happier. Evidently the condo builders installed these cheap units when they built the condo. In the winter it takes less than 20 minutes to heat the home and about the same to cool it from 79 to 70 degrees. We sleep year round in 66 degree temperatures as it is healthier. Trane and Mountaineer Mechanical have made us happy Trane owners.
I was really impressed by the work that was done for me by the staff from Mountaineer Mechanical. They do things correctly the first time. I have worked with them on multiple projects and they are always available when I call.
I was referred to Mountaineer Mechanical by an employee from Lowes. Even though I didnt do too much shopping around, I was happy with the service that I received and I am glad to have selected them to help me complete my project.
I had an air conditioning unit installed by Mountaineer Mechanical last summer. I was impressed by how quickly they got everything done and how great the team members were.
I was comfortable working with the staff from Mountaineer Mechanical. Everything got done faster than I thought it would. They were all very nice.
Worst experience ever. They charge you less then competitors only to have to come to your house numerous times and be charged for doing so. Not to mention how rude the technicians are.
I have only done business with Mountaineer Mechanical on two occasions, but both times I have been extremely satisfied.
Their very helpful very good people

2015-06-15A coworker referred me to Mountaineer Mechanical. I trust them so I didnt look any further. They did a great job installing my heating and air conditioning unit. The staff was really great at what they do and they didnt take too long.

After speaking with him I came online and read reviews and decided to call them to see if they could replace an air filter for me, which they could. I was happy with everything, the service personnel were very nice.

2015-08-03The staff from Mountaineer Mechanical has resolved multiple plumbing problems for us. They made sure the problem got resolved as quickly as possible with a reasonable cost. Plus, it was done correctly the first time, which is hard to come by.

2018-01-10Very poor service. $200.00 for two guys to stand in our pantry, and in the end tell us they were not sure whether or not it was our pipes were frozen, maybe our pump was bad, maybe it was our foot valve. I strongly recommend using ANYONE else, hell, our neighbor has been more help than these guys!In the end, we contacted them, hoping that maybe they would be understanding, that $200.00 for a big maybe? Didnt seem very well worth it. The secretary, or whoever she is, Shirley, maybe Cheryl? She agreed, couldnt understand why there were two guys!Well, they ended up having one of the plumbers call me, probably hoping that I would back down, and say, Oh, no, youre right. Im sorry. Theyre friendly, in person, sure. But not helpful. I dont enjoy trying to be bullied. Were on day nine without correctly running water, moving, closer and closer, though! All in all, as a working family, I wouldnt suggest them. Friendly? Sure. Timely? Eh...I get they need paid, but youre robbing the blind here.Had they simply been understanding, and chalked it up to a loss, maybe a my bad on their part? I would have let it go, chalked it up to a loss myself. A lesson learned. But I decided, in the end, better to warn others.If I could give zero, I would.
