The room was $160, and we had stained blankets and sheets, the floors were clearly not clean with the beetle crawling around and the toe nail I found, etc. There was an old restaurant napkin left on the phone, the shower was disgusting, our sink drain didnt work, so it just filled and never drained. All the wood furniture was pretty scuffed and chipped. Splatter of God knows what on the walls and sides of furniture. Towels didnt seem very clean, and the water pressure was not great at all. Super loud guests all around and thin walls. The whole place was just very grimey and gross. Said there was free coffee, there was no coffee. Definitely recommended staying anywhere else.
I was a walk in and was sold a room for $150 for the night. The hot water ran from the tub facet all the time I was there. The toilet lid did not fit the toilet. The phone did not work. There was no shampoo, conditioner or lotion only soap. No paper and pencil for notes. There was no grab and go breakfast. All for $150 a night. It was clean and had a good bed.
No pet fee, spring mattress, sticky floors but relatively clean, have to buy the little shampoo bottle from the vending maching, no hair dryer, thin walls, slightly overpriced but ok compared to other pet friendly hotels at the time i stayed. Good for a few nights i guess, definitely would stay more than a week here tho. Probably wont stay here again if other options are reasonable next time im in town.
Nice town and very nice motel! Clean rooms.. friendly staff! Convenient location. From the motel we walked just across to the next parking lot to Texas Roadhouse and had a great meal! We could even walk across the street to Applebees! So glad that we took that exit and decided to stop at this location! Great prices at this motel too!
I stayed in room 309 and it appeared to be recently remodeled. Bedding and towels were all clean. No strange smells. Bed was fairly comfortable. No shampoo, conditioner, lotion or coffee in the room. No breakfast. It is a 1 star hotel. Its the very basics. A lot of people talking in the halls and the highway traffic noise was very noticeable.
Staff is very helpful, friendly, with great A1customer service!!! Clean environment with plenty of amenities. Location is convenient with plenty of businesses near. I want to commend the staff for making sure all my needs were met!👍👍 Clean & Comfortable.. On my business trips the rates are excellent/affordable, I feel compared to other establishments in the area.. Motel 6 Willoughby, Ohio keep up the great work😁
Room was not clean. Shower was super gross, had little hairs all over the walls, perhaps from somebody shaving. The floor of the shower was sticky but became slimy when wet. It definitely was not cleaned before we checked in. The floor in the room had a weird sticky residue and it got all over your feet. Alarm went off in the middle of the night around 1am, it was just one beep and then it was done. Not sure what it was. Overall not a good experience :/
IT IS NOT SAFE HERE !! Someone at the front desk gave a stranger a key to my room without calling and asking if I knew this person. Thankfully the key did not work. The police were called and the man left. I have never felt like My safety didn’t matter so much in my life. The manager and staff could of cared less and only told me it wouldn’t happen again after I’ve been here for an extended stay.
Tried to check in after a 15 hour drive. The lady behind the counter was asleep and didnt wake up. She gave me major attitude and a hard time when I was allowed to check in. If she wouldve been awake when I got there, the hotel wouldve been able to charge for another night. (She lost the company money)The room is what it is. The bed blankets are stained, chair ripped, ink on walls, toilet leaks and other random things. This place is good in a pinch or the other hotels are booked. But definitely not a destination place. After my stay is over , I will jot be staying in the Willoughby location again.
There was hair in the bed sheets. The faucet had toothpaste on it. The building is in disrepair, but it looked like they may have been trying to fix it? There was some heavy machinery in the parking lot. I cant forgive the hair in the sheets though. Not sure if the sheets were never washed at all or if the hair just transferred from a towel in the wash. Hopefully it was the second.
Great location and best rates in town! Rooms are spacious and clean and everything functions well. Shower is nice and hot and towels are fresh. The bed (king size in the room my fiancé and I have been staying in) is super comfortable, and the bed linens are clean and soft. We also have a mini fridge in our room, which comes in handy so we can keep drinks and snacks cold, and then go heat them up in the microwave, which is located on the side room (laundry room), next to the lobby. There is also a nice-sized, flat screen tv with cable in the room.It snowed quite a bit at one point during our stay, and the parking lot, sidewalks and exterior staircases had been well-maintained. The property is free of debris and appears to be neatly groomed from the outside. The staff is friendly, proactive, helpful and knowledgeable. They are attentive to our needs and truly care about the customers’ satisfaction. There is only one amenity I would like to see offered at this location, that is not currently available, and that is *free WiFi*. At one point in time (within the last year or two), this location did offer free WiFi with your stay, so I’m not sure why it is no longer available, but it would be great to have again.Overall, the Motel 6 on Maplegrove in Willoughby, OH is a great place to stay and is an excellent choice for long or short-term stays, and you can’t beat the value. The location is fabulous, as it is right off of the I-90 Freeway, and just a quick, straight drive over to the Route 2 Freeway. There are plenty of stores and gas stations around as well; there is a new Sheetz gas station is right next door, and two 24 hour pharmacies: Walgreens and CVS, just up the road. It is also pretty quiet, surprisingly, given that it is a somewhat busy area. The location is safe, and the local police drive through the hotel parking lot pretty frequently.Additionally, other hotels in the area charge a $50 security deposit and many won’t take cash for payment. This location doesn’t charge any security deposits (unless you have a pet, but it’s only a $50 deposit I believe, so it’s worth it, as you get the deposit back when you check out, provided there aren’t any damages done by your pet in the room - many other hotels in the area don’t even allow pets), they accept cash, and the rates are consistent, all making this hotel a great place to stay. I’ve stayed at several other hotels in the area, and the Motel 6 in Willoughby is by far the best choice and the best value. My fiancé and I will be back when we are needing a hotel in the NE Ohio area, and we will be sure to recommend it to our close friends and family, if and when they are looking for a hotel sometime in the area as well. 👍🏻
If you need a room for an evening or extended stay, there is no better place to stay then the Motel 6 in Willoughby. The rooms are clean, the staff is awesome, and the price cannot be beat. There are many restaurants in the area, and the sheetz next door has the best coffee and made to order food. Its convenient and welcoming. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I cant say enough wonderful things about my experience here .
It was not very clean and the bed was hard as a rock. With no amenities such as a hair dryer, iron, fridge and microwave, I feel we paid to much. We paid for 2 nights but I couldnt stay there another day, we just left early the next morning and didnt come back. We went to another hotel for the same price that had all the amenities I mentioned, not to mention the room was double the size of Motel 6. I wont be back.
Staff was helpful and worked to accommodate my request for a first-floor room. Staff followed up with a phone call to make sure my room was okay because it was a late cleaning so I could move in. The room was clean and bed comfortable (which surprised me because it sounded a bit creaky when I first laid down). Window curtain old/stained and cigarette butts outside by parked cars. But it served my purposes for a safe, economical nights sleep.
Just needed a place to crash on our long drive that was dog friendly (not everyone was during the pandemic). Staff was nice, our dogs felt comfortable but the cleanliness could use some improvement. Sheet was clean but had a burn hole in it, comforters had stains, shower had a glob of soap still on the wall, stains on the wall by the toilet, and necklace from a previous tenant was left on back for bathroom door and an old soap (still in wrapper) also found behind door (clearly hadnt been checked before)... we simply opted to not shower and re-lysoled everything just in case....Overall not a bad stay for the price.
Just a heads-up for those approaching from I-271 N - DO NOT use express lanes - use lanes for local exits or you will miss the exit for Motel 6 in Willoughby and have to drive an extra 2-3 miles to next exit on I-90 east in order to reverse direction. Very pleasant stay, comfortable room, pleasant staff and welcoming to travelers with pets.
It was unacceptable to stay there that night, but management has since refunded our money making it right. I realize we cant always watch our staff and make sure they are doing things correctly. Housekeeping was to blame for our misadventure not the entire establishment. Thank you for handling the situation promptly. Good luck in the future!
I arrived at the hotel and noticed it wasnt to my request it had no fridge or microwave. I did have my extra pillows though. My second reservation was also wrong, no fridge, no microwave and no extra pillows. Not to mention it was the same price as my original reservation, even though I had already stayed and paid for one night. However, Ms. Tressa was very nice about the situation by making the necessary changes to make my room the price I was originally quoted on the phone at the time I made my initial reservation. Thank you Tressa. The maintenance man came to the room to fix the sink and decided to inform us that we could not use side walk chalk on the property side walks. And the pool was slime green upon arrival, and the maintenance man simply poured chlorine in the pool and let it clean it self. My daughter showed me a dead spider in the clean towels. We requested clean towels at 10am and didnt receive them til two after stopping the housekeeper in the hallway. This isnt a roach motel but it isnt five star either. I do however, see potential.
Its a budget hotel, so no frills are to be expected. My room was clean and neat - very happy with that. The toilet would not flush completely, no matter what I tried. (I didnt use the shower so dont know if that drain was slow too.) The room had no smell of smoke, as should be for a non-smoking room, but the doorway reeked of old smoke. Yucch! Besides the price and location, one reason I chose this motel was because it has a pool, but the pool was closed. The sign was taped to the front desk, suggesting a long-term issue; I forgot to ask when/if it would be open.
Convenient location, but hotel furnishings are much too spartan and dated for a budget hotel. Room and linens were clean, but lobby area, elevator, halls, and coffee area were filthy. Heat & Air unit worked fine, but no hot water, and what there is trickles out of extreme low flow fixtures. Friendly staff, but they seem handicapped by a lack of supplies. Permanently stained tub. Just too stripped-down to be comfortable in.
This motel is conveniently close to the interstate but the room was very quiet, also spacious. Parking was plentiful. I was traveling with my dogs and there was not very much grass for walking them, but trash cans were available for pick-up duty (which unfortunately not many people seemed to be doing). The bed was comfortable, the floor not very clean, and the air conditioner wasnt working well. The shower, sink, lights and TV all worked fine. The property has a tired and neglected air, with holes and worn places in the exterior walls (not in the room at least!) There are several restaurants quite near by.
There were several domestic arguments going on in the parking lot. The police had to be called in the wee hours of the morning. This is the second time this has happened during a stay there within the last month. Also I had to borrow a mop from the front desk to mop my own bathroom and room floor. There were so many dead bugs all over the room it was ridiculous. The bathroom light cover was full of dead bugs too, but there was no one available to help me get the cover off to clean it out. This was a first floor handicap accessible room. It seriously needs to have a protective door frame cover installed on the bottom of the door. I noticed that small black bugs were crawling into the room at night because they were attracted to the light that they could see under the door frame. The open space in that area was much too wide. I ended up putting the bedspread in front of the bottom of the door jamb in order to prevent bugs from coming in.Though I was a bit tired after mopping myself, I felt so much better after cleaning my own room. Also, in a non-smoking room do not offer an ashtray. The ashtray was full of cigarette ashes even though it had a no-smoking logo on the bottom of it.
Hotel was definitely worn. The door handle to get into the hall upstairs was completely broken off and the hall smelled like cigarette smoke. Shower was not cleaned well and there was mold above it. Bathroom floor hadnt been swept and overall the building needed some maintenance or updates done to it. The bed was clean though and the wood floors were nice.
I couldnt make up my mind if I wanted a refrigerator or iron & ironing board in my room. I would think if you had a deluxe room you should have both. When you have a deluxe room you would think it would be a little different than the non deluxe room. The only thing they add is a iron & ironing board, a hair dryer and somewhat a higher level of soap & lotions, which no one really uses. The toilet seat look like it had been there from the time they opened. Gross!! Not to mention I had to clean the room myself. The coverlet had stains on them, I had to change them 3 times. The staff tried really hard to accommodate but when I switched to the deluxe room I had to pay an additional $18.00, I thought I would have been upgraded with no problem. Whereas, other complainer would get a free room because they were going to go to Corporate.Wow! Is that all I had to say to get a free room. Otherwise, it was ok!!
They left the light on! This conveniently located Motel 6 offers a pool and is very close to some decent restaurants. My room was recently upgraded with vinyl plank floors, a new mattress and pillows. New sink and Bath tub. Everything was great. It even passed by black light test. Yes, I check my room for cleanliness using a black light. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. I highly recommend this Motel 6.
The best part of our experience was the kindness of the staff. The woman working the front desk when we checked in Friday night was incredibly nice. The room was average. It was appropriate for the price I think. The only thing we didnt like was the smell of weed in the hallways and that you had to use a door key to use the elevator. Im sure that was probably put into place for safety reasons though.
The place was not bad. Bed was comfortable, TV was nice, A/C worked great. Sheets were clean and plenty of towels. Trash cans had plastic bags in them for cleanliness. There issues with the place though. I paid for premium WiFi and could barely connect and it kept dropping (would hold a signal for about 5 minutes at a time on average over the coarse of about 15 hours.). The signal was stronger from the motel across the street. The bath tub took literally 3 hours to drain after a shower. When we checked out in the morning, I told the lady at the front desk about these issues, she looked at me, said Oh, ok and just turned and walked away. There were also holes in the walls like it was hit with a hammer. No hand rails or anything on the bath tub and no anti slip stuff in the bath tub, was VERY slick. Tub was dirty. If you looked in the corners of the room, it was very dirty (to the point that you could see it if you stood in the middle of the room and just looked around.
I stayed here New Years weekend and was just looking for the basics in a hotel: an affordable place to stay that was clean, felt safe and had a good chance of being quiet especially on this particular weekend. I was very happy to find friendly staff to help me at the front desk each time I needed help. First time was when I attempted early check-in and the staff person politely explained the room would not be ready until regular check-in. I came back for regular check-in and found a different staff member equally as friendly and helpful with my questions about the room, wifi options, etc. I found the room was clean with no noticeable damages and everything seemed to work properly. New Years Even proved to be very relaxing with only a few noises from neighbors playing music, but thats to be expected. I felt safe and had a great night. Unfortunately, the day before my scheduled check out, my key card stopped working, so I had to visit the front desk again. The staff person promptly fixed the error and I was able to use my card again for the remainder of my stay. I left the room in order and visited the front desk one final time for a very smooth check-out. The staff person let me know about this survey and about opportunities for specials on Motel 6 rooms. I hope to use Motel 6 again as it was exactly what I needed at an affordable price. Thank you for helping make my stay on New Years weekend smooth and pleasant.
We had an emergency that forced us to temporarily stay here for 2 weeks and it wasnt bad. I would recommend looking online for the best price and the people at the desk will only rent rooms for the posted face value. I used Google and got almost 50% off for our long stay. They tried to say I couldnt get a better deal than the one they were offering me but when my online reservation came thru, as I did it right in front of them, they were shocked and sad but honored the online reservation. They only offer cheap coffee in the morning and vending machine snacks, nothing else. They clean and reset the rooms every other day but you can ask for more towels as needed. When we stayed there, we had a microwave and mini fridge, that helped out nicely. There are also ALOT of restaurant choices near by and has great freeway access.I gave it a 4 star rating ONLY because the room was clean and the in room amenities.
Awful, just awful room. I could feel and hear the coils on the mattress all night, every night. Back still hurts. Cant touch my toes as I do everyday. Extreme pain. Checked in, room 214, bed was awful as well. Went back to the front desk, moved me to 216. Bed was awful as well. Stayed in that room for 3 nights like a fool. Cigarette burns on the toilet top, shower stall inside the nightstands. The staff and cleaning crew were very nice and I tipped well. I have pictures that I took of the stains and burns overall quality of the room.
Room was clean, bed comfortable, pillows the best Ive slept on in quite awhile! Nice TV, Remote worked fine, Nice Shower head, cold and hot water!Negatives, didnt have any room service any of days. I went and got towels from housekeeping after 2nd day!The only thing I would change or add is more lighting especially over the desk, could not see very well at desk.Light switch on wall next to the door does nothing...... If you sit at the desk you cant really see the TV.
The front desk person was friendly, but did not know where to get items we needed. Stated it was her first day there. No one else was working. The entire place was filthy. There was no bathtub plug. The lady at the front desk had no idea where to look for one. When she found one, she called and I went down there to get it, it had fuzzy green mold on the entire bottom of it.The pool was closed because it was so nasty. The luggage carts were almost unusableThe bed was dirty and smelly. This place needs to be shut down. It is a health hazard.
Being 2 AM, all vacancy were full at all the hotels. This place was 10 mins off the interstate, but very economical and affordable. Friendly staff, no smoking rooms and smoking rooms (we got nonsmoking), and didnt require a deposit like most places close to I-90.The TV picture was broke. You could hear it, but couldnt see it. Bummer, but not a huge deal.
The rooms have outside doors and we were able to park right by the door. Room was pet friendly as we had a dog. There were some newer upgrades to the room like what appeared to be laminate hardwood floors. You could hear the neighbors next door and they werent being loud, so the sound travels. Overall the room was good for our purposes.
The room was fine and overall fairly clean, the bathroom, however, was not. When I first turned on the shower I assumed the tub was stained, then the dirt started washing down the drain. Then when I used a towel it had lipstick and makeup on the inside like someone had just folded it so it would not be seen. Beyond that the wifi was not working. Overall it was a bed when I was tired, and not much more.
I was really suprised at how clean and well kept it was. I was very pleased to walk in the front door and it smelled so fresh and pleasant...the room was very nice. It would have been nice to have at least a fridge in the room to keep items cold but we managed. The lamp shades need to be replaced and our bathroom had a touch of mold...but again we managed. For a 1 night stay for an event...overall it was great. Love the pool...hate that I left my swimsuit...lol.Staff was very friendly and very efficient...smiles all over the place....they made sure we all got checked in quickly and took care of whatever we needed help with.
Not a resort hotel by any means, so expected getting what I paid for. Staff was helpful and friendly .Room I had was generally clean aside from discovering what appeared to be small amounts of blood spatter on several walls. Hadnt noticed it the first couple days not having seen the room in the daylight. The shower towels with their sandpaper like texture were barely large enough for an average sized adult. Perhaps not for everyone but it is what it is, an inexpensive motel & not a 5 star resort.
The deadbolt was broken and the room phone didnt work. There was a latch lock and I have a cell phone so all that would have been excusable except for the facility fire alarm that screamed at me repeatedly at 3:30am. Everyone in the motel was awake. It would turn off and then turn back on. This occurred for 10-15 minutes. The room was mostly clean. I wouldnt call it spotless but Im not picky, the sheets appeared clean. The only saving grace for the facility was the staff. After the fire alarm incident I asked to check out and receive a refund which the staff accommodated. Both interactions were very pleasant and polite.
We booked 2 rooms next to each with our large family. We received rooms that were not close to each other. There were many signs that said, No smoking, but the halls reeked of stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom had peeling paint and was not clean. I did not want to place anything on the dirty floor. The room itself was fine. The main part of the room was clean. There was a refrigerator but it made loud clicking noises throughout the night and appeared to not have functioned normally by the morning.
The location and price made it worthwhile. I was also traveling alone and that is the only way I would stay again. It was easy to book and the staff was friendly but the room was not what I expected. The sheets were either not changed or not cleaned because I found long strands of hair in my sheets. The sheets also had a coarse feel that made them feel like sandpaper. The bathroom appeared clean but there was film of dirt on the floor that showed itself when I walked barefoot. The sink facet was low-flow or not working correcting because water flow was minimal. The toilet was not functioning properly or was poorly designed because several flushes were needed to ensure all waste was removed.
The stay would have been ok , had the spout in the tub not come off and hit my wife in the morning as we were getting ready to get down the road. The only response from your staff in the morning, one being the manager, was we should have come down and told them and they would have moved us to a new room. At that point all we needed was for my wife to rinse off and myself to take a shower. There was no thought on the part of your staff that one of us was soap covered and wet and that I had yet to shower. Your staffs thought was that, that it was our fault that we didnt take the time to see them and change rooms. My suggestion is that you find staff that is better at customer relations and less interested in their cup of coffee.
Even though Ive stayed a this location probably five times over the years, every time Ive gone, it seems to get worse. Except for the fact its cheap and close to where I need to be, I keep telling myself that this will be the last time...I went to the front desk to ask about some shampoo, and the clerk asked, Whats wrong?, like she knew I was going to complain about something. She was not helpful. The room itself was cold and dreary, with no amenities, like a microwave, coffee maker, cushy chair or even a pen and paper. The bathroom floor was very slick and several times I felt myself slip. And speaking of the bathroom, there was no Kleenex, there were other peoples hairs on the back of the toilet, the tub needed a new floor, and, most disconcerting, it lacked an exhaust fan.For all the negatives (and there are more than what Ive told you about), I will have to admit that the bed was comfortable and it was quiet.I have decided that this past visit WILL be my last, and I have taken Motel 6 out of my contact list.My recommendation to you.....dont!
I liked the room, staff, and value. The exterior if this particular motel 6 is in real disrepair. It looks like the property had been left empty for quite awhile and then the rooms were probably remodeled, updated but not the exterior. The walks, stairs, elevator gave the property a really rundown look that was depressing. If not for that, I would have given a higher overall rating. I liked the Studio 6 in Lake County a lot better and would consider staying there next time, but not at this one.
Location was good & the room was of excellent size. However, none of the electrical outlets along one whole wall worked, so I had to move the lamp to stand on top of the dresser, not near the bed. Also, there was only one lamp on one side of a king sized bed. WiFi was intolerably slow. There were no tissues in the room, & no wash cloth - just two towels. Mold in the bathtub.
Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We were in town just on a quick get away, we normally stay at Motel 6 hotels whenever we travel. After checking-in, we get to our room and we’re totally disgusted. There was hair all over the bathroom floor, the tub was filthy and didn’t look like it had been disinfected, the pillows on the bed had hair on them, and didn’t even smell as if they were changed. It just looked like someone had made the bed up and that was all. And there was also some light trash and dust on the floor. So we asked to have a room change, the employee at the counter was nice enough to do so, but the second room we got wasn’t any better than the first. I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN, nor will I EVER recommend it to anyone. This experience may have just ruined anymore stays for me at a Motel 6.
Bed bugs. Dont stay here. Our room was dirty and the toilet paper holder was broke off the wall and sitting on the floor. Woke up with bites all over me! Ruined my weekend getaway. When we told the front desk that there was bed bugs he paused then said go to tripadvisor. Not the response we expected. Do yourself a favor and pay a few more dollars to stay somewhere better.
I have never stayed in such a dump before, the ceiling on the third floor was falling down, the bedding was stained and dirty, the room and beds were awful. We were afraid to shower there. There was a fight, and someone pulled the alarm three times while we were there which was only about an hour. There were people walking around room to room. It was a rough crowd. Stay away there was another couple behind us that had checked in earlier and they were leaving too. 😧
I stayed one night with my daughter. Definitely not a good experience. One of our beds was broken, the bathtub was so dirty neither of us wanted to use the shower. The outside pool was dirty and half filled so we couldnt swim if we wanted to.........We arrived late and left as early as we could, definitely will not be staying here again.
0 stars as this this was most awful hotel ever! 1st room had at least 50 baby flies, give us another room that was filthy feet were black in a matter of mins along with toilet doesnt flush, black mold under the sink on the side wall and cob webs everywhere!!! Dont even deserve 1 star!
Payed a hundred dollars & some change was there not even an hour, you would have thought they would have discounted the rate, like another, motel or hotel did me once, but motel 6 didnt, guess thats what happens when you dont book a reservation, its cool wont patronize them ever, bathroom light didnt work AC sucked its all good though.
I would honestly rate no stars but that’s not an option. Is Dave there for a funeral having been there before about a year or so ago I felt like it was a decent hotel to stay in. Ariens this time was less than satisfactory the staff at the front desk were unprofessional couldn’t even tell she work there. For a non-smoking room we had comforters with cigarette burns in them. The room was on the hall that reeks like cigarette smoke and weed the entire weekend we were there. No one ever came in to clean the room the whole weekend we were never replenished with towels upon trying to use the phone to call the front desk and ask for more towels or to get someone to clean the room the phone was not working. And this isn’t a five-star hotel but it this point it wasn’t even acceptable to continue to come back and stay here if I haven’t already paid for it I would’ve left and went somewhere else .
When Im on the road and need a place to sleep and shower I often choose Motel 6 for its value. This location was as good as most maybe a little better. The room was clean and bed comfortable. I did order with a microwave and fridge online and after I settled in for the night realized my room had neither so make sure and let the attendant know what you want when you check in.
There were many issues with this hotel. It is very low budget. No hair dryer. WiFi is extra. They do not clean your room if you are there for a week. To get clean towels you need to hand in your old towels at front desk. Had to put our garbage in outside pail ourselves. The pool was drained, we were told would be two days before reopened, was four days later when we checked out and it was still closed. The shower handle fell off. They gave us new room for that, that room dresser drawer was broke. The day before check out we had ants. I sprayed them with hairspray and reported it. Girl said she would send maintenence to check. We checked out next day with the same dead ants under the bathroom sink. The elevator broke down one day. We have stayed at motel 6 in other locations and they were nice, not this location.
My experience was a little more upsetting this visit where I changed 2 night to 1 night stay. I arrive in town early on Friday, the motel want me believe they were sold out nothing available, than I arrived around noon still nothing available. I returned back 2:30, finally able to check in. I was placed in a room near an ice machine and elevator and room smoke smell order. Ask to be moved to another room it seemed to much to ask the front desk attendant. Finally, place in a room, I have never had this much trouble on a check in at this location prior this visit. I understand check was at 3, but Thursday night sold out and if check out is at 11am, housekeeping moves quite slowly.
The room service was poor, and management never addressed concerns, my wife and I was there for 14 days called the complaint line and the insisted we give them a chance to fix the problem, as I stated we were there 14 days and we were never contacted by the management of this location 4 calls were made. The problem was the bed were not made with fresh linen. I know this for a fact because when I turned the covers back the bed was full of wrinkles and a popsicle stick, I requested fresh linen and i didnt receive, so I went called for fresh linen, they finally came and requested that I leave the room, I requested the linen and made the bed myself. So the next day i requested guest services so they can clean the room thoroughly. My wife and I were out of the room as requested by 1230pm, returned to the room after 6 pm, the room was not clean as requested. Instead of just apologizing the front desk personnel, made excuse after excuse, no accountability whatsoever. Made a few calls to management no response whatsoever. Please also note this was our second room, the very first room when we initially registered on 7-02-18 the AC did not work, well some may say well why didnt you just go to another motel 6? Well we were recently displaced at the time, we just didnt feel like going to another one. We checked out 7-15-18
Our room was filthy and didnt appear to have been cleaned at all. For such a cheap motel we werent expecting much but this was much worse than we could have imagined. The floor was sficky .the blankets were stained . There was rust and blood in our leaky bath tub. The elevator had trash in it. The other motel 6s we stayed in were much better.
Front desk person was friendly when I walked in. Got me checked-in quickly. What significantly detracted from my stay was requesting a non-smoking room, however when we walked in room clearly smelled like tobacco. There were also ashtrays all throughout the room, ashtrays were clean and empty but thats an indicator that we were put in a smoking room against my request. There was also no refrigerator. Most Motel 6s Ive been to have mini-fridges. That would have been helpful.
Not bad for the price on a last minute room. Room was clean staff was great. Just needs alot of building maintenance. Like some door locks not working. And outside door card readers not working. I found two doors. Open one had no outside handle. Not really safe. Say if a woman split up with and ex. And he seen her car. At the hotel. Easy access into the building. Just saying. Cause I think of people safety first.
We stayed here because it was late and we needed a room, and it was cheap. You get what you pay for.The room reminded me of a camp cabin - it was literally big enough to walk around the bed, which I think was a double at best.Noticed the next morning the hair and dirt all over the floors. At least there were no bedbugs.
Decent room. It was clean and the beds were average. The bathroom was spotless and overall the room was in good shape. Our stay was very rudely interupted by a fire alarm at about 3:30am. Had it been an actual fire or somebody setting off the smoke detector we would have been fine. However, upon talking with the front desk, they had been having issues with the alarm system for over a week and it had been going off randomly throughout the day and night. Interupting sleeping customers in the middle of the night for a fire alarm system that has been out of whack for over a week is unacceptable in my book. This seems like a management problem to me and makes me less likely to recommend this location compared to the actual room, beds, and overall cleanliness.
Worst hotel experience ever. The rooms were very dirty. Some of the beds had not been changed, the pillows looked like they had been slept on, there was food in one of the beds and dirty linens under a bed. (We checked in at 3:00 in the morning and were too exhausted to go anywhere else, and ended up sleeping on top of the beds). The bathrooms were not clean. The grounds were littered with trash and cigarette butts. We walked our dogs across broken glass on the sidewalk leading up to our rooms in the dark before we realized it was there. The lobby smelled moldy. Staff was not professional at all and were not concerned about our experience. After finally speaking to a manager, she agreed to reverse the charges. Three months later my corporate lodging card was charged for the rooms. Im sitting on hold waiting to speak to someone. Not a happy camper at the moment.
This Motel 6 is conveniently located right off of I90. It was very easy to find at 2 in the morning! The grounds were clean and well lite! The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was a great place to stop when traveling! However, the entrance and lobby could use some sprucing up.
The location is great; easy access to interstate and where we wanted to go. Staff was polite and efficient. Now for the bad; the exterior was dirty and stucco crumbling. I chose this hotel because it had a pool- guess what ? It was not in working order. Empty. The mattress was uncomfortable. The room stayed damp and no exhaust in the bathroom. Light fixtures were decrepit and old. No hairdryer and no mini-fridge in room. Very disappointing.
Reserved for 3 days with card and intended to pay cash in person. You slammed my card for the full amount (3 days) before I even checked in!! You caused me great inconvenience as a result of this unauthorized charge. The night staff that I dealt with were indifferent and a little surly. The day man was polite and reasonable and was professional. The motel ownership are cheapskates who do not even provide hot water! The boilers are set to provide lukewarm showers! I will try not to see you again!!!
We started off by paying for our stay before we got room keys. I completely understand why. If we hadnt already paid we would have left before we even got to the room because of the terrible smell and appearance of the outside and inside. There was mold on the walls and stink bugs in our room. The drop ceiling on 3rd floor was drippin water on carpet. Beyond all this there was a domestic despute going on over some one kicking some ones dogs that were our neighbors down the hall. The hotel price was 70. Ive stayed in 40 dollar rooms with better hospitality. The windows were howling all night because they dont seal properly and the paper thin walls let us hear everyones conversation all evening. The lady at the front desk was nice. I would sleep in my truck at walmart before i stayed here again.
The bathtub was disgusting, the toilet clogged and there was no plunger so we had to borrow one. The beds and sheets had stains and hair that was not our own in it. There was a mysterious substance on the ceiling and there were bugs alive and dead in our room. The deadbolt doesnt work nor does the aircon. The dresser was broken and I cut myself on it. I was also dissatisfied and disappointed to find that when our toliet was clogged we went to the lobby to use the restroom there only to find there isnt any but they have a washing machine and dryer and vending machine but no restroom. We were afraid to sleep in the beds so we stayed awake all night seeing as we couldnt leave without our group.
Apparently my last review bumped up to a 3 because of my giving a favorable rating to the area this hotel is located in. Let me be clear- this is a 1 star review. In case my previous review is not seen-Room was dirty. Had to clean it myself. Bathroom had someone else’s hair all over it.Black mold over to top of our shower as well. This place advertised a pool and free WiFi but the pool is currently closed and they apparently are having trouble with their WiFi. (Not that I would even think about getting into a pool here after seeing the state of the rest of the hotel)We decided to opt for a “budget” hotel to maximize our attractions that we wanted to visit but I was definitely not expecting this. Unfortunately we are stuck here for the next 3 days.
It was a very unpleasant experience. When we entered the room it smelled marijuana very strong. I called the front desk and nobody answered. After driving all night it did not matter, we just wanted to rest. The floors were dirty. My white stockings were black. One of the pillows smelled very bad. After trying to sleep for a couple hours it was enough and we left the place.Almost $80 USD for a couple hours in a dirty room ? ... Come on !
Well, the family of 8 (or so it seemed) next door was making noise all night. Kids running around, parents yelling at them (being just as loud in the process). In the morning the hallway definitely smelled like weed, which hey, I am not judging, but its a non-smoking room floor. Cigarettes shouldnt even be allowed, much less already illegal substancesCan we talk about that for a second? What kind of hotel in 2017 asks if you want a non-smoking room? How trashy is that? And then you leave an ashtray in the non-smoking room with a non-smoking sign on it? Are you kidding me? What kind of message does that send? Well, its no smoking, but heres an ashtray anyway, because we know youre going to smoke, and we wont enforce anything because our staff is paid too little to care.Anyway, our 530 wake up call came early, but I at least looked forward to a hot shower. I couldnt even have that because the shower pressure was non-existent, and the housekeeper left a gross used wash cloth on the curtain rod.I mean, I had low expectations for a cheap hotel in Cleveland, but this experience failed to even meet them. Way to go, Motel6.
For years I have listened to Tom Bodett talk about how Motel 6 provides clean comfortable room. Well Tom you might want to check in at the motel 6 I stated at. I thought my expectations were reasonable enough. CLEAN room but this if you view the pictures you will see they missed the mark at this motel 6 and while we are on the subject two of the 4 lights in the room did not work or had light switch issues. Bathtub was dirty never cleaned during my visit, floors which were tile and woodish floor never cleaned as you will see from the new socks I took a picture of and had walked from the main room to the bathroom and back. Lets talk about safety, there was a receptical with no cover. The sink drains and bathtub drains very very slowly. On the second day of my stay they put in towels and nothing else and so I had to complain to the front desk. So Tom if you read this I think you should visit the motel 6 in Willoughby at route 91 & 90 in Ohio but the light may not be on there for you.
Very disappointed with Motel 6. We were coming into town for an event and had made a reservation about a 1 1/2 weeks prior to the event. We had a confirmation and all was good. The day of the event the hotel contacted us around noon to inform us that our reservation had been cancelled and provided us with an 800# to call for assistance in finding other accommodations. They told us that others had extended their reservations and we could no longer be accommodated. Also mentioned that there was a big wine event going on - I told them, YES, I was well aware of the event as that was why we had made our reservation more than a week prior. I called the 800# provided and they said they didnt show that our reservation had been cancelled so they called the hotel. They got back to me and told me that the hotel had 30 rooms that were basically out of commission and the hotel was contacting everyone to cancel their reservations. Well that wasnt what I was told initially. Wouldnt you know prior to the day of a reservation whether or not your rooms were unusable?!?!? Well, I have my own speculations about what was going on! They were not able to make other accommodations for us either. This put a real damper on our plans, but we finally found another room further away than we had hoped for since we didnt want to travel too far after we had a couple of drinks (we were in no way drunk). Motel 6 certainly shut the lights out on us!!!
When I was there back in June 2018 the hotel and my hotel room was very dirty, I asked staff to clean my room before I entered it and it moved me to another room with her sisters dirty I asked for a 1-800 number to call there central office. Staff would not give me a number. So like most customers who are not happy with the customer service I went to Facebook and also went to a review page here and left the comment I finally got their corporate office to do something about it I got a refund on my hotel room and gift card for gas as a refund I think thats pretty nice due to the fact they did not a thing the day I was there. Thanks Motel 6 I will never stay with you again even though you did give me a refund.
Rooms were clean and felt very comfortable. Only issue was the curtain was broken in the room and had a hard time closing the curtain. It was very noisy throughout the evening. I wasnt woken several times with people talking loudly through the night and doors slamming.
Its a motel 6. the rooms have been updated compared to most cheap motels Ive stayed at recently. the bed was fairly comfy tho i would prefer if the mattress had a water/bug proof cover-i think that should be standard for all hotel beds anywhere. the folx at the front desk were great! jade checked us in and was super nice throughout our stay!!! we stayed for 10 nights and the cleaning staff were understanding as my partner recovered from surgery. Im not a fan of the motel 6 chain but it was cheap. the folx working here are lovely!
Booked two rooms. One of the rooms was not ready when we arrived at 11pm. Left for an hour for food and told them we would be back. They said they would clean it while we were away. They never cleaned it and we were forced to go somewhere else. Our second room was dirty and the bathroom light didnt work. Alarms went off in the middle of the night waking us up.Really rude staff that wouldnt take responsibility for the quality of our stay.Book somewhere else. This Motel 6 is not worth your money or time.
After an initial error in the location of our reservation (Cleveland, TX vs. Cleveland, OH), our stay at Willoughby, OH was fine. As we were traveling home, our arrival was very late, but the staff was very welcoming. Our room was very clean and neat, and we appreciated the amenities such as the refrigerator.
I was supposed to stay 3 nights. I did not sleep at all the first night due all the loud noise on the floor with yelling and what sounded like a orgy in the room next to me. Then morning came and I happen to look out the window and there are 4 police cars outside arresting someone. I post on FB the pictures of what I saw and a number of people responded that this Motel 6 is known for drug bust and prostitution. I go down to the lobby to speak with someone to tell them the issues and I want a full refund and they would only give me the 2 nights that I did not stay for. As I am talking to them another 2 police cars show up again for another arrest. I went to speak with one of the officers to find out about this place and he basically said that this place is a big headache for their police department and the weekends they stay close by because of all the illegal activity. I normally stay at the Geneva, OH Motel 6 but they were booked up and more expensive. I know Motel 6 is not 5 star rated place to stay but I guess you pay for what you get. A side note about the room, the bathtub was clogged, there were urine stains all over the toilet seat and the tile on the floor looked to have mold in the grout. The elevator was an ice box, the a/c was on in it for some reason. In summary I paid for a one night stay with no sleep and exposed to illegal activity. The chances of me staying at Motel 6 are as good as me winning the lottery. A positive to note, the front desk rep Hercules was very nice and understanding.
I am very sorry to say that this was one of the worst places I have ever stayed. We got there at 4:10pm. with enough time to get changed and to the event that we were there for. I room was not ready, no one seemed to really care that this was very upsetting for us. By the time we got to the room ( because the elevator would not work) the room was not what I booked. I needed and booked a room with 2 beds. We were given a single King. That was not going to work. After walking down 3 flights of stairs I again stood there and waited. The manager on duty would not even look at me let alone speak to me. He told the young lady next to him (who was very sorry ) to upgrade us, we then had to go back downstairs to a room with the 2 beds. No refrigerator, no anything. The floors were extremely dirty, bug in the bathtub and we missed the main event that we were to attend. When I checked out in the morning I will told that I owed $19 +change for the upgrade. Took them another 20 minutes to get it corrected. Same manager as the night before. He needs a class in costumer service and manners. We were looking forward to this special event and it was spoiled because of our accommodations.
The room was very nice clean looking until we went to bed there were ants crawling all over my fiancé and 10 month old daughter. The only food we had into the room was her formula. I got up to use to the bathroom and there were many all over the floor. I took pictures and showed my sister who also had a room there. I am not the complaining type but I will never stay at this location again.
Quite frankly it was the worst motel I have ever stayed with in. The paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was from the 1970s. The room was never cleaned and I was there 3 days. As I was checking out .. there was a customer at the desk asking to talk to the manager about her daughter being bit up by bedbugs. On a scale of 1to10 Id say this was a minus 10.Mike Love
You guys never refunded me the money I paid for a fridge and microwave in my room. The floor constantly had a slight dew on it, so it was always kind of slippery. I gave up on the refund because I tried contacting you 3 times after leaving and third time is the charm or three strikes and you are out.
I have stayed at this motel many times since 2009. I booked the room in March and asked for first floor. I received a dirty, and I mean it looked like the bathroom had not been wiped down at all, hair in sink, on the floor and in the bath tub, 3rd floor room, without refrigerator or microwave. I will not stay there again.
You get what you pay for. The room was dirty, the floors turned your feet black. We told the kids not to put anything on the floors. There was hair all over the bathroom, not ours. The room smelled so bad we went and got air fresheners to help the smell. There was a lot of cops there on Friday night. The pool was not open yet, which we were unaware of and one of the reasons we picked it for the kids. I give it 2 stars for convenience to other places. We learned our lesson on trying to save money!! We will not be back.
Spent a week in Cleveland while my wife was awaiting surgery at a specialized clinic in the area. Wanted to keep other costs as low as possible. Room was a great rate. Everything in it was clean and it worked, staff was flexible and always concerned and caring, especially Tressa. Location was just great if you wanted to go out. Many take-out places were in the immediate vicinity, and the proximity to I-90/I-271 was excellent, so we could visit our clinic in 10-15 minutes. Every store imaginable was available within 10 minutes away, so it was very convenient. It made a difficult experience reasonably palatable. Would stay there again in a minute. Only issues was wifi was extra cost (but not much) and it was not a strong signal at our end of the building, but it did work so I could do all my work tasks in my spare time. Not a resort location, but that was not what we were asking for, so the value was great!
The staff was excellent. I dropped my cell phone in the toilet and the front desk clerk could not have helped me enough to find a Walmart to purchase a new one so I could contact my family. I thought the overall appearance could have been better that is the reason for 4 stars. Room was very clean.
Very nice! I wound up staying here unexpectedly when a different hotel messed up our reservations. I was pleasantly surprised! Simple and low cost, but clean and nice - not dingy or crappy. Good sized rooms, super nice ladies at the reservation desk, generally a great experience!
The bathroom had black hairs (not ours) and dirt in the corners, the tub was so clogged with hair so that the tub couldn’t have been cleaned properly, the floor of the room was sticky, and the walls were dirty, plaster broken, the walkwAy outside the room was filthy with dirt, cigarette butts and broken plaster. I have pictures if you would like to see them. The outside of the motel was lovely with flowers and landscaping. Shame the inside couldn’t have been as nice. The two only good things were the A/C and the night clerk who let us extend our checkout when we had car trouble. Therefore I will never stay in your facility again and will certainly not recommend it to anyone.
After paying for our room and going to check it out, found remnants of bed bugs (black dots and one small dead bug) cob webs in the corner, dirty floor, dirty ceiling vents, old dirty sheets and ripped comforter. Went to the front desk to ask for a refund and was told we had to wait for the morning to talk to the manager because there was a ten minute rule to get your money back? We were there a total of 5. Very disappointed.
Stayed during electrical outage from storm. Room had a smell to it but looked bug free and clean. Only give one star due to man coming to door to early in morning with the pretense of asking for a cigarette while peeking around me to see who all was in room. Thankfully my two dogs were in the room with me and he took off.
Like other reviewer said, i requested for non smoking room but the room smell horrible! very dirty. entering the room mosquitos everywhere inside the restroom insects on the ceiling. good thing CVS store close buy to go get myself disinfectant spray. didn’t get a chance to asked front desk anymore im checking out early morning. the bed sheets and blankets very bad odor of cigar. i hope you guys do something better around.
We checked in and was greeted at the check in desk with kindness but what stood out the most about the check clerk was she explain all the amenities and then ask me was there anything else she can help me with so polite and friendly. Then next morning coffee was hot and great also i called before going to get coffee and morning clerk was very kind she also helped me with change for laundry room. The rooms was clean just a few things i believe will bring this motel to a five star. 1. new toliet seats 2. New lamp shades 3. Extra soaps. But housekeeping was great and ask if we needed any clean towels and sheets and offered to clean room. Lobby was clean and no bed bugs. No dust mites especially cause they welcome service animals. I will return when im back visiting Cleveland and yes i recommend this Motel 6. The staff were all friendly thank you for a enjoyable two stay over. Last but NOT lease i didnt get a room with kitchen however room 214 was comfortable and I got good rest. And the price is affordable and its near alot of restaurants and stores.
The front desk clerk Nicole was horrible!! She charged me a different price from what my reservation had!! Then didnt have the kind of room I requested tried to put me in a double room and wanted to up charge me almost 30$ more then my reservation said. After me and her we came to an agreement of 113$ and my reservation was for 101$ I was tired of going back and forth with the young lady and just agreed. She needs to know how to give better customer service. Then the room she gave me had broken light fixtures in it. I didnt even feel like changing rooms after that point.
A/C in room was broken...they were not able to switch me to another room due to over booking. Shower curtain rod was ripped out of wall in bathroom. Stuff was splattered all over wall and bed cover was gross. A girl that checked in as I was complaining at the front deck arrived at her room a few rooms down from mine to open the door and see a completely trashed room with a cat and a cardboard litter box still in it...requested a refund only to get 1 of my 2 nights refunded. I will never book motel 6 again.
Motel 6 is an inexpensive chain, yet better than one might expect for the price. This location was clean; rooms, hallways, parking lots. There were full toiletries in the bath, and an ice machine on every floor. Exactly what we needed for a day while some work was done at home.
Flush toilet twice everytime use. I was able to scrub a little bit of the stain in tub out with a washcloth--did not have proper cleaning items and the motel must not have either. The dresser was missing chunk of wood. The floor seemed clean and the beds were o.k. We were there for a night. Proper cleaning in bathroom and repairs would make this no frills motel a much nicer place.
We had to wait to check in. Everyone who came in the lobby said he will be right with you. Who is he because a girl checked us in. The only reason we didnt leave is beacause we were only In town for 2 days. Room smelled like an ashtray. No room service. If we needed anything (towels, shampoo, cond, iron, blow dryer, etc...) we had to go to the office. 2 dead roaches in the bathroom. Hair on the floor in the bathroom. Cob webs above sink. Every time we wanted in the room we had to go to the office because the card wouldnt work. The Google pics make this place look good. Never again will I stay at any motel 6.
Had a great stay here. Room was very clean, and the staff is the best I’ve come across in 15 years of staying at motel 6’s. The room keepers are very friendly and helpful, and the front desk staff is amazing. Would definitely recommend this Motel 6 to people with pets. Great location too. Texas Roadhouse, Cracker Barrel, Eat and Park, Bob Evens, Applebee’s, and CVS is less than a block walk too.
I understand this is a non luxury motel, but a few things werent good. First the bedding had some stains, secondly the bathroom floor tiles grout was nasty and thirdly the shower grout had that orangish staining. The lady at the desk said coffee would be ready at 6:00am. We checked out at 6:15am - no coffee.
It might be a good hotel for the summer months. You could lay on the bed and look through the gap between the door and the frame into the parking lot. The room was clean, but the quality of the room has definitely gone down hill since the last time that I stayed with them.
Check in was quick and efficient, the desk clerk Justice was professional and because there were others in the lobby, she handled giving my key card with discretion. My request for a first floor room with close parking was a non issue. The room was clean, the bathroom immaculate. I am in the middle of a two day move from Indiana to New York.
We lost power at home during a storm and decided to stay at a motel. We decided on Motel 6 in Willoughby. Everyone was very polite from registration to checkout. The room was spotless and not overloaded with heavy air freshener. We had our two dogs with us. We appreciated the hardwoid floors instead of old nasty carpeting. They had to upgrade us at no charge due to bookings which was a bonus. Would stay again. The best deal for your money.
Compared to other Motel 6s Ive been to recently, this one was in disrepair and had very low quality sleeping arrangements. Sheets with lint balls and a room that smelled of smoke despite being smoke free. No refrigerator, a broken ice machine, did not meet basic requirements.
The rooms were clean and basic, room heater worked, only downside was all the noise. I am not a light sleeper by any means but it sure sounded like 2 raccoons were fighting in a sack of feed corn above us about 330am, BUT it was better then sleeping in the back seat of the truck.
I have traveled all over the US and stayed in 0-5 star accommodation, but this was the worst. We pulled in to the only room left in the area and before the experience ended, I wish I had slept in the truck. My husband and I travel with 2 dog babies and we were all worn out from 8 hours of driving. This hotel 6 was so nasty and smelled like an ashtray. When I bent down to plug in my charger, ashes and trash was all over floor and under bed. Needless to say, not a nice experience. I left there looking for the first place I could take a shower, because I didnt put my feet in the nastiness that was in the one in our room. The only positive thing about it all, is that my dogs got walked and rested from the ride.
Staff tried to charge me for a room i already paid for. Staff refused to accept my prepaid expedia itinerary number even after I showed her my receipt. When i said i was going to call customer service she suddenly had my room key and was very rude. Also very sketchy people hanging outside at all hours of night. Didnt feel safe.
We had to wait an extra hour to sign in and the they didnt have a room that we wanted (king bed). The receptionist told us to just push tbe two double beds together. The shower wasnt working and maintenance couldnt be there until after 10 am. We didnt have time to wait for him to fix it. The room was dirty overall. This motel may have just turned us away from staying at another motel 6 and we have been loyal to this chain for many many years. We were very dissapointed and disgusted
This was the worst place we have ever stayed. We went there because because they are pet-friendly but never again. So many problems to list! Very Dirty floor!!!..burned out light in bath which made it very hard to shower in complete darkness and when we asked for help we were told no one was available but we could apply for $5 off our room....there were at least 12 loud drunken non-english speaking men next door in one room who were hanging around our vehicles outside, they couldnt understand us and we ended up calling the police who were quite familiar with the motel...broken phone in room..microwave blew sparks out of the back of it..mirror and window were dirty Never again...
Nice rooms, bed, and bath. The decor in general was very new and didnt expect that for such a cheap hotel. I got a room with a microwave and a fridge, definitely a plus. My room was on the third floor which was enclosed unlike the other floors. Very eco-friendly and use energy saving devices. The AC works great! My only issue is how loud the doors are when they close. I even attempted to close mine slowly and as quietly as possible but it just did not work. Im here on business and I work a 2nd/3rd shift. Not a whole lot of sleep can be had during the day because of how loud the doors are.Speaking of doors, the exit door to the outside stairwell is broken and cannot be opened from the outside. It seems that it has been broken for a very long time as they have even used a label maker to make a sign on the door stating this fact. My room is closer to that end so its kind of an inconvenience when Im headed back to my room.On the upside there is a pool and coin laundry available. Ive used the laundry now and the prices are low for use and they work great. The staff seems very positive and are very helpful. I was let down though only because I booked my room over the phone with them, but when I arrived my room reservation had been canceled. They quickly found me another room of the same type. Good save.
I checked in the motel on Monday June 5th. as i left the Office and got in my car, i was approached by a woman who said that she had been evicted and needed a ride or wanted to use my phone for a phone call. Prostitute or someone to hurt or steal from me, I have no idea. But I did not like it.They did not clean my room the next day. At checkout the girl told me that I had to request that. I have never had to do it before any where.People at the front desk were not friendly. Just doing what they had to. Sorry. Also, no wash cloth.
It is what it is... a cheap motel room. no real complaints, it was better than sleeping in the car but the beds werent very comfortable. paid a few bucks extra for the deluxe room but Im unsure what makes it deluxe. Ice machine was down so that sucked but we managed but no continental breakfast really sucks.
We made a reservation, and called ahead as we would be arriving late. We were told by the staff that they would hold a room for us, no problem. When we arrived, they had no room available for us. The staff person at the desk was able to find a room for us that had been mostly cleaned but was left off the list. However, we were charged $30 more than the original reservation for the same size room. We are currently seeking a refund of that $30.
I am from Canda and deliver 6 days a week for the last 7 years to this area. Found motel 6 in Willoughby and have been coming here. Owners are great people and so are the workers. Clean rooms. They have been doing major reno for a year and place is looking great. Just contracted my job 2 more years and will be staying here.
Rough looking place, seedy atmosphere there, I saw a middle aged respectable women smoking crack in the car park out of my window and then a few hours later the same women was leaving the reception area after speaking to staff there 01.00 approx time in the morning. The way we have to insert card into the lift before we can call it shows the security is a problem there. The corridors felt like a prison compared to othr places we stayed at. Rooms were big.
My room was very nice. I have stayed at your motel many times for the dog shows. Would strongly recommend more trash cans out at least for the dog show weekends.....when some people have to walk the entire length of the hall to find a garbage bin to dispose of dog waste they tend to not pick it up.
We paid for a week but only stayed 5 days. We didnt get any housekeeping the whole stay. My husband had to go up the the office every evening for towels. On the 3rd day the toilet overflowed for no reason, we called the front desk twice to have someone clean the water on the bathroom floor while we were out, we got back at 5 still hadnt been cleaned. We were finally moved to a different room that evening. Trash behind the desk when we arrived. The second room the shower and sink were stopped up.
This Motel 6 needs some TLC. The outer grounds are extremely littered anddirty. I had some dead potato bugs (harmless...not bed bugs) in my room.Apparently they crawl in through the air conditioner son the ground floor rooms.Housekeeping needs to vacumn better. Ill probably return with my dog becauseits the only Motel 6 location that works on my to-fro-Maine itinerary. But I would sureappreciate it if theyd pay a bit more attention to details. The staff was pleasant and everything else was OK. The coffee needs somehelp too!
I feel like they put me in a poor room d/t the fact I was an Senior discount. The room was smelly, stairs to get to the room were filthy and not covered (it was pouring in the AM). First room I was put in the TV did not work. - I stayed in this Motel6 a few years ago and had a wonderful indoor corner room. This stay was very disappointing and I wont ever stay here again.
Horrible place, room was dirty with hair on the pillow cases and stains on the comforter. The bathroom was very nasty, the tub was black for lack of cleaning. The hallway to the elevator smell like urine. Just a very unkept place. I did not stay and requested a refund.
I have stayed at this Motel 6 every year for the past 4 years when we visit Mentor Headlands Beach. It is always clean the room and the pool. The staff is helpful and friendly and restaurants are in walking distance. The price is right, and it has served my friends and I well.
Stayed here for a night in October. The hotel isnt a dump, but its certainly not a 5 star hotel by any means. Recent renovations give you paneled wood floors( its a laminate, not really wood) but also wood everything. The chair in the room is that of an elementary school classroom(hard cheap wood also). The provide you with the most meager of linens( one towel and a washrag) and one cup. I stayed in a smoking room, to which they provided no ashtray either. It was quiet until about 8 am when the cleaning lady came by every 15 minutes to tell you its time to leave, I thought checkout was at 11 am? Oh and if you like wifi be prepared to pay (3 bucks for a slow connection or 5 for a fast, per day). Better off going to a red roof or days inn up the street.
I had a really nice stay it was clean and nice. The stay was excellent and I cant wait to come back. The only thing that I had a problem with is that there is a charge for everything. To get the shampoo and conditioner that was a charge to get WIFI that was a charge. I dont think that that is fair. I have been to hotel that were wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy (lol) worse and they gave you WIFI and shampoo and conditioner for free. I just felt like i was nickel and dimed at every oportunity. But the stay was very nice.
Clean place to lay your head. Over priced. Check in was at 1, but we got there at 4 and the room still wasnt ready.. There was one bar of soap for a 2 twin bed room. Apparently, a DELUXE package included shampoo and conditioner for $20 more? No thanks. The staff was really sweet and very helpful, though. Nothing but great people there.
We like Motel 6’s when traveling. They’re reasonably priced and all we need is a bed for a few hrs before we continue on. However, this Cleveland-Willoughby Motel 6 was terrible. The light switch as you enter the room didn’t work, the sink didn’t drain properly, the toilet seat’s finish was peeling off, the toilet water was very high and had a sluggish flush, the tub was discolored, the soap dish had mold where it was attached to the walk, the furniture was beaten up, there was a layer of grime along some of the drawer pulls, and the sheets were rough due to pilling. It is a very run down motel.
Well upon arrival, after paying the room, getting the keys, I discover a negative problem - the 3rd floor room was not going to work because the 2 outside doors did not function & I was not comfortable using room key for the elevator. So I return to the desk & had the clerk to check the outside entrances with me, trying different keys, nothing work. After many attempts & wasting time, nothing was successful, I took a room on 2nd floor with outside entrance. This was not my wish when I put my reservation in several months ago.Upon getting my items into the room & getting settled, I discover another negative problem, my socks were wet & dirty from the floor mat @ the door. I reported this to the desk clerk, she responded - nothing can be done until housekeeping comes in 11 am the next day. I told her this dirt will go on to the hardwood floor, bathroom mat & linens. The response, nothing can be done. The end result, I was disappointed & not happy in this stay @ Motel 6 on Wednesday, July 12th, 2017.
I stay at this motel every August to be in town for the Ohio Celtic Festival. The rooms are comfortable and the decor is nice. The only issue I have is that the rooms are always damp. Even with the A/C on, its very humid in the rooms. The price is good and close to my venue. Will stay again next year. :)
By far the worst place Ive ever stayed. Constant solicitation of prostitution next door, no alarm clocks, maybe 10 working channels on the TV, have to hand over Drivers license to use a iron and ironing board, had blood spots on the walls, bathroom floor was sticky, bed and room was barely ever cleaned. Please for the love of god do not stay here.
The rooms were very standard and in barely livable condition. It was dirty all around the floor edges and the tub needed scrubbing. Even after house keeping came it was still dirty. All you get is soap and no shampoo, so pack your own I guess. The wifi is extra if you want it. I purchased the high speed wifi for $4.99 a day so I could work. I had so much frustration with it being slow and disconnecting every other minute!!!!! I was so EXTREMELY MAD!!!! The door key cards almost never worked. Im disabled and my husband was having back surgery, so going to the 2nd floor and then back downstairs again to fix the key cards was PAINFUL! The only elevator was so far from the majority of rooms. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!
As I said in a very long email yesterday, the front desk staff upon check-in was less than hospitable, unwelcoming & they didnt seem like they cared weather we stayed there or not, there was another guest that spoke to us and said he had been there since 9am and stated to us that he was super mad about his check-in, it was 1:45pm at that time, I do not what the issue was for him. We were a bit early but thought we would check to see if room was ready yet, it was not and the girl said come back in half hour, we did...then she said come back in 10 min, we did...not ready, this went on until 3:25 when we finally got a room we just ran in dropped suitcase and jump in the car only to make it to the church for a wedding by 1 min, thanks to long drawn out check-in process and supposed rooms not ready. When we arrived back at the room midnight or so, we started to get ready for bed, I went to sit on toilet and fell right off due to seat not attached, the seat slid half way across the toilet ! As I gathered myself and finish, my friend and I are looking around and noticing and saying to each other what a dump this room is, IT FELT DIRTY and smelled, the bathroom floor was filthy, the shower looked like something you could only bathe a dog in, the dresser looked like it came from the curb, missing wood, dirty, the towel holder on the wall was crooked and looked as if it was going to fall off if bumped, there was no drain screen of any kind in the tub just a big fat dirty dark hole, the grout on the bathroom floor was black ! at this point we have decided to sleep in our clothes for a few hour and get up and RUN out the door, no shower, no nothing!! Before I left after waking, I did go to the front desk and showed a pic of the broken toilet seat to what the guy stated as being the manager on duty(also saw him the day before at check-in) I showed pic and asked him how he could rent a room with a broken toilet seat, he said he didnt know it was broken, I said wouldnt the housekeeper have put in a work order? needless to say he was LESS THAN CONCERNED, I couldnt wait to get as far away from the dirty lobby, room, sidewalks, missing wall and paint on facade of building as fast as I could and go wash that room off of me in a real shower. I completely feel RIPPED OFF.
I stay with you almost exclusively partially knowing you are pet friendly. Your standards; however, near Cleveland, a huge metropolis, are lacking mostly due to outside cleanliness. Doesn’t look like anyone sweeps or cleans balconies. Also elevator is very dirty. Glad you asked as I am a fan. Love wooden floors!
Stayed at the hotel overnight for work. The first room I was given was still occupied. The second room hadnt been cleaned. By the time I got a third room it was ok.There are plenty of options to eat within walking distance from the hotel be at Applebees or other, theres also a drugstore directly across the street from the hotel which override you with anything you may have forgotten on your trip.If youre looking for an inexpensive Hotel I would not recommend this one too dirty and the hotel does not give any security when staying there.
Stayed here twice on a recent trip to another destination (once on the way there and once on the way back.) It is a good value and the room each time was clean and quiet. We obviously liked the stay so much the first time because we chose to stay there again a week later.
The rooms looked like a jail cell. No pictures, no amenities, no coffee makers, no blow dryers etc. The rooms were not clean. The security door going up to the third floor which is the one we were on did not have a door handle on it so anyone could come and go. When we checked out and got ready to go down the elevator wasnt working . I have had hip surgery and had to go down all three flights. What if someone was in a wheelchair? They would be stuck! The hallways were in dire need of vacuuming.
I came to visit Ohio for the first time on 5/31/19 and I stayed at motel 6 on 35110 Maplegrove rd Willoughby . Erica and the hotel staff was so nice and the hotel was very clean I felt like I was at home. I saw a staff member cleaning one of the rooms and he thoroughly cleaned the room like it was his house the elevators use key card access so it’s super safe and it’s in a great area. When I come back this will be my hotel of choice thank you guys for making me feel welcome 😎👍🏽
Arrive late- the hotel was booked week in advance- Theresa the front desk person was trying to help a family of 16- took it all in stride- and had me in and out of the check in process in less then 15 min!- I was impressed. The hotel staff could not have been any better with there service and hospitality- about where to eat what establishments were open on a very late weekend night- and a Sunday night- Hotel room was clean- but it is an older building- some things could be updated!
My confirmation showed a 12:00 Noon check it. At first when I arrived, I was told a room wouldnt be ready until 3:00pm. The front desk clerk was apologetic and actually worked it so I was able to check in at 12:30pmFor check out, I had called for an 11:30am wake up. I was never called. The person checking me out didnt seem to care whether I had received the wake up call or not. Her disinterested attitude and lackadaisical approach to processing my check out and providing a readable receipt was not only rude but very unprofessional. This kind of service leaves me no choice than to NOT recommend this facility to friends, business associates nor colleagues.
Staff was nice butfor them to give me the correct size sheets .. then of course I had to do it my self .. all the first night there after hours of driving and moving my son in. My second night went better except at 6am the morning of my checkout the fire alarm malfunctioned.. and we were told to either check out now or leave and come back because everyone was complaining. I checked out at about 830 ish .. I would not recommend this place unless I had too.

2022-01-05I do appreciate that they are pet friendly. The room did seem clean. The beds are very springy. In fact, you feel the the springs with every movement you make. Towels and washcloths are nicely aged allowing you to exfoliate as you dry. I was told that I could not see a room before checking in. No hot water. I wish I would have been allowed to see the room before booking the stay. I would not have stayed. Though we were in a non-smoking room I could still smell the presence of smoke and heavily perfumed cleaners to try to cover it up. The combination was displeasing. There are also some missing amenities that I feel should be present in any reputable hotel, excluding roadside cheapo motels:Shampoo- missingMicrowave-missingIn-room or lobby coffee- missingI really wasnt expecting any kind of breakfast, but it is worth noting that they do not offer any.All-in-all it was a place to sleep. Though affordable, it was still over-priced for what you get.

2022-02-09My stay was very comfortable. Staff was very accommodating. Had to stay there because our power was out and they were very understanding. Room was clean. Even in the snowstorm the parking lot was kept mostly free of snow.

2022-06-07Rooms are very clean. It was pet friendly so my furbabies as well as myself joined our week-long stay. I felt safe and was able to wind down and relax. I personally would rate this hotel 10 stars!

2022-02-09First the good - the woman working the front desk was very friendly and exceptionally helpful. She was great. The motel itself is absolutely disgusting. I have no idea how so many reviewers state this place is clean. We tried three different rooms and all filthy disgusting. The Motel has many people living there and they hang around their rooms, some cooking in their rooms. There is trash everywhere. We had the police and an ambulance cart someone out on our night there. Avoid at all costs.

2022-04-30The people working at the hotel were so sweet! We were so tired after driving from Ontario Canada and we found an inexpensive place that was clean and the beds were comfortable and to top it off it was the shortest walking distance to a delicious Mexican restaurant.

2022-02-08DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This is the NASTIEST motel I have ever had to stay in! I NEVER would have stayed but due to the snow storm and the fact I had my 5 yrs old granddaughter with me I had NO CHOICE but to stay! I will NEVER go to motel 6 EVER again & I would advise anyone who has the option of going elsewhere to DO SO!!

2022-02-06The room was nice and cleaner than I expected. It stayed warm in the room even though it opened to the outside and it was freezing that day.
