Positive: it was quiet Negative: water pressure in the shower was terrible....cigarette holes on the bed sheets
When I made my reservation, several weeks in advance, I had requested a room that had been vacant for 48hours due to the pandemic. There wasnt one. The first room we were in : the towels were not properly cleaned and had hair on them. The linens on the bed were loose and not stretched neatly over the mattress. There were long black hairs on the sheets and pillows. The pillowcases were soiled and not properly on the pillows. There was only one bath towel for two people. There was no tissue. I went to the front desk to complain and the manager showed me another room. I couldnt believe he wasnt wearing a mask! The second room was better - the bed was properly made and the towels looked cleaner. The TV would not work though. When we had a shower we found a used bath towel on the back of the bathroom door. There was no tissue and no complimentary shampoo and conditioner.When we have stayed at Motel 6 many times in the past we were happy with our stays. But on May12, we were extremely disappointed, especially when hygiene and cleanliness are so important with covid-19 still rampant.
Best thing I can say about it..... It was 1/2 the price of any other hotel in Lima. Was not expecting an ashtray on every surface in the room. Needs updates. Bathroom fixtures falling apart.
Good little motel for the price. I had a clean, quiet room with fridge and microwave. Would have been great to have had a in room coffee pot. My blanket did have cigarette burn holes in it. I had a smoke free room.
We had reserved a non-smoking room but they cleaned and removed ashtrays to a smoking room. There was some type of staining on the towels, and the comforter on the bed. The shower had a hole in the ceiling where an obvious leak was from the floor above us and it needed plunged as water was standing when you showered. Disappointed in this as I was expecting a remodeled room as the pictures had been shown. Maybe the remodel was several years ago??
Lady at front counter was sweet and kind. However, we have a non-smoking room and its smelling of smoke. The floor is gritty & dirty with visual residue in corners of the rooms. There was a stink bug in a cob web above the ac unit. And the mattress is junk.
Clean and spacious but not sure about some of the other occupants staying there. Not a bad area, close to food.TV didnt work but were quick to respond and provided another room.
The first room we got there was other peoples hair on sheets so they gave us a different room. The TV didnt work well. No coffee pot . Bed lumpy and flat pillows.
I am very impressed with my room here at Motel 6 Lima. The room is spacious and clean. Well furnished with modern furniture. I was able to park directly in front of my room. It doesn’t smell of cigarettes or any other “cheap motel smells”. This particular motel 6 is very nice. The desk clerk was knowledgeable, personable and professional. Check in was smooth and completely hassle free. Great place to stop and sleep for the night. Restaurants are nearby. I will be staying here again for certain. They have something to be proud of here.
I was able to relax and enjoy my weekend.
Great price for 3 adults with a pet. We got in late after racing. Nothing fancy but a clean place to rest our heads and shower after a long hot day. Lots of close places to eat. Mcdonalds coffee and Pats donuts were choice picks today before hitting the road home.. I would definately stay agan.
Over all it was a good stay, pricing was right. I would have given a 5 star but the 3rd shift night person acted very inconvenienced when I came down and asked for a roll of toilet paper as when we checked in there was hardly any left.
It’s a Motel 6, and a clean one at that, so with that in mind, there’s really nothing bad to say! You know what you’re paying for here, and honestly I liked what I got. A comfortable bed, clean floors, and a functioning shower is all I need in a Motel 6, and anything else is just a fun extra. This motel definitely met those criteria, so I’m happy to say I enjoyed my stay as best as I could, considering, again, that this is a Motel 6.
Very clean motel!! So pleased with the service I have received since staying here. Great rates and very friendly employees!!! All of them are extremely nice and welcoming ☺️! Couldnt ask for a better motel to be staying at! I highly recommend Motel 6 to anyone! Plus great location. Plenty of restaurants in the area within walking distance along with stores. We was gonna stay at Country Inn and Suites. They wanted $100 deposit plus the price of a room. We did not have the funds for the deposit. I called Motel 6 Lima, Ohio. Im so glad I did! Not only was they eager to accommodate us and got us in a room quickly with everything we was looking for on Labor Day weekend at that ! Staff was courteous and helpful. Promply brought us extra pillows and towels. Room was very clean and I found no bugs! A definite plus! The room was cheaper then Country Inn and Suites too. Im enjoying my stay and I will stay here from now on. Thank you Motel 6 Lima!!💜

Scotty was super nice and helpful. The room was well worth the price;clean and relatively quiet. Close to the highway and lots of food options. Id stay again if in the area.

Clean, but rundown. Doorframe bent to the point that the deadbolt wouldnt latch. Bathroom sink leaked all over the floor. Shower wand didnt attach to wall, it just hung on the grab bar. I dont know what was lumpier, the mattress or the pillow. We usually stay at Holiday Inn across the bridge when visiting family in the area. Next time well definitely spend the additional $20 for a much nicer, secure room!

We stayed at a Motel 6 in Canada and it was perfect so we thought we would take a chance on this one. What a mistake. Groups of men smoking barbecuing and drinking in the parking lot in the back. The room reeked of smoke. The beds were broken down and the sheets and towels were grey and dingy. The bed covers were grimey and full of cigarette burns. The bathroom door wouldnt close , the sink and shower didnt drain and the air conditioner made loud noises all night.The only good thing was the night desk clerk....who changed our stinky room to the smoke free one that I reserved.i would have left but everyplace else was booked.I will never stay at a Motel 6 again, hopefully I dont get Covid from this one.
We were in room 112 on 4/28/20 two bed non-smoking 1st floor. CONS..My mother is deaf and there was no way to put close caption on the TV even after informing the office. There was no microwave in the room which most all other Motel 6 have and most the channels on the TV were so snowy that you could not watch most of it. Heater would not run unless you put the fan on constant and heat ON Otherwise it would not turn on. Could not run the water in the sink for very long since the water would not go down. PROS.. Was nice to back up to the room, did have a fridge and ice in the hallway, did have a senior rate.
This was the first time Id stayed at this Motel 6. I was very impressed. The motel is very clean, inside, and outside. The staff was friendly, on the phone, and in person. Very efficient. Rooms had a really cool decor. I like the wood floors, instead of carpet. Helps prevent bed bugs, dirt, etc. I marked this Motel 6 as a Favorite, in my GPS, and will definitely stay here again.
My stay was very enjoyable! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The morning staff were very friendly and hospitable, the evening staff... not so much. My only complaint was that after checking in I went down to the desk to ask for an extra pillow or two, and the woman working the desk told me no. I manage a hotel, so I understand that sometimes you are running short on pillows/pillowcases, but the way she handled the situation was unsatisfactory. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the Motel 6 in Lima for several days in July and again in August 2017. I was curious to see the purported upgrades in the rooms. We were in Room 121, a non-smoking accessible room (walk-in shower) both times. We experienced quality and service issues during both visits. The upgrades seemed to have been done more quickly than carefully. Walls were not fully covered with new paint. The toilet was not level and the old seal had not been removed from the floor. The shower floor was very slippery; for safety, we finally bought our own tub mat. On several occasions the room was only partially serviced and on one day not at all. We had to ask for more bath linens. On the day when the room had not been serviced, the night manager finally came and changed the sheets while we sat on the other bed. On our last visit, the sheets on one bed were disgustingly pilly and the bedspreads had multiple cigarette burns. The replacement bedspreads also had cigarette burns!The staff were responsive to our concerns, but there were just too many issues for us to want to try again. We will not go back. To their credit, we did receive a nice discount on our first stay due to the problems.
This is a motel 6 so dont expect anything fancy like a red roof inn (which isnt fancy either). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and when you turn off the lights it looks like any other hotel room. Pet friendly which is great. So for bargain accommodations, a good place to stop.
This motel was an awesome surprise. The location and outside appearance is a little shady looking, you can tell its kind of a party spot BUT it was not loud, the rooms were really nice and clean, no bugs, and OMG they have smoking rooms! For a nice clean place to sleep this was perfect
I had friends stay the night before I was to arrive. They complained of excessive noise and poor room accommodations. I tried cancelling my reservation but my credit card was still charged and they will not refund me. 2 of my friends also had bed bug bites after their stay.
The room was clean and basic,it worked for what we needed for our 2 night stay. But the house keepers did not remove the trash after the first day. Their was no shampoo, usually not a big deal because I usually travel with some, but I didnt have any with me this trip and I was too tired and it was too late to want to run out and buy some.
The room suited us for a quick overnight stop. One thing though it is not an $88.00 per night room. I appreciate it near the interstate, commercial spots nearby, and accepts dogs. The bed is not comfortable, a bit noisy, towels are worn thin, the heater/ac is noisy, there are no amenities except a small bar of soap. It was clean though and that is important. Not sure I would stay again because of the price. An average rating may be a bit kind. A $50.-60.00 rate would be more appropriate
Very small bathroom!!! Could not shut the door. Free coffee at office. No clock, hair dryer, coffee pot. All that was there was 2 uncomfortable queen size bed a TV with remote. Very few channels to watch and that is it. Shower was terrible. Will not ever stay there again.

Its very close to the highway and there are several dining options close by! The bed, however, is terrible. It felt like sleeping on a flimsy pullout sofa bed and the bedding was very thin. Their heat was working well, thank goodness, so we werent cold. They were working on something outside and had almost all of the parking spaces blocked off in the back area where our room was so that was really irritating. The refrigerator wasnt dirty, but we could tell it hadnt been cleaned out before our arrival because there was an excessive amount of pudding cups left in the bottom drawer of the mini fridge.Overall, you get what you pay for and it wasnt the worse stay Ive had. This was my first time trying a motel 6 and while Ive figured out its not my cup of tea (Id rather pay the extra and be more comfortable) , it pretty much did its job for the price range...They really need better beds and bedding though!!
Our stay was short but the only complaint I have is the beds were not very soft and the linens were a little rough. Other than that, it was nice. Very clean room and bathroom. Front desk guy was super nice and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
Recently remodeled spacious room. Excellent staff. Would and have recommended this hotel to friends.Went back to this hotel 2-23-18. Room was dirty. Sheets were stained. A lot of mold by the shower head. If it was not so late I would have gotten a refund and left. DISGUSTING.
My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The room was very clean. The only thing that could have been better was bed comfort, but you cant please everyone. For the price, I dont think a person could beat this value. Especially, if you travel with pets.
Room was more than average and just what we needed for the overnight stay. We did have a rather sleepless night due to the person above stomping from one side of their room to the other until about 2:30 to 3:00 a.m. in the morning.A recommendation that I would make to all hotels and motels. We travel with C-Pap machines and along with computers, etc. It would be great if the room had a few more outlets next to each side of the beds.Thank you!
THE man that worked the front desk was rude and had no idea how to deal with customers. I asked for change for their vending machines and was told that it was not a bank to walk to the store across the highway. Well if I had to walk to the store across the street I would not get change to spend at this guys machines. I would not recommend anyone staying here. I would not let this guys watch my dog let alone run a motel. GIVES MOTEL 6 A BAD NAME Also there was blood all over the sidewalk and they sprayed it and never did anything else to it to clean it up.. BAD BAD BAD
Room was quite nice except it had a really weird smell. Also, no Kleenex holder?? Modern decor, but I wish there would have been some sort of rug on the floor, as it was very cold. Very very very noisy neighbors directly above me, so I couldnt rest well
Clean, comfortable and affordable three important things you hope that the motel has 5* for that courteous service,. On-site laundry and vending 5* microwave, TV, and WIFI. Only downside no coffee pot in room . but close to Highway and food places.
We’ve stayed here for the husky refinery shutdown from June 2019 to November 2019. I can’t express how thankfully we were to find this hotel for our long work job. Rooms are clean and have been updated. Their is no carpet in the rooms which makes it very very nice and cleaner. Front desk staff became like family to us. Anybody who leaves negative reviews for this hotel must be too picky or have unrealistic standards.
The hotel experience was what we expected for a Motel 6. The floors and bed linens were clean and the room was very tidy. My biggest concern was the smallish cockroach-type insect that we saw crawling up the wall as we were almost ready to leave.
When we arrived at the Motel 6, we immediately noticed how run down the exterior of the building was. There were several shady looking people hanging around the front parking lot and several other guests(?) milling around the back parking lot which made me a little nervous. We had reserved our rooms via phone and were told one price and given a confirmation number. When we went to check in, we were charged a price much greater than what we were told on the phone. When this was brought up to the woman at the front desk she said that she didnt know who would have said that or where we got that price because they always raise the rates for this weekend. She further stated that everyone in the area was booked. Being that we were already there, we paid the extra and went to check out our rooms. Upon arriving to our first room, it was evident that the door had been kicked in at some point. My father in law had to put his shoulder to the door to finally get it to open. When it did, we were hit with the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Pushing past that, the rooms were dated and in some places, the vinyl floor was splitting and peeling, creating a trip hazard. At this point, I started to research other hotels in the area as the rest of my family checked out the not-much-better second room. I found 2 available rooms at a hotel one exit North for a similar price, so my mother-in-law ventured back to the front desk to try to get our money back. The lady was quite rude, telling us that theres no where else to go, that everyone is booked, and that if we leave she cant guarantee the rooms would be available when we came back. Then came time for refunding our money back to our credit card. Everytime she tried to refund it, the amount was far less than what we had just paid and had the receipt for (closer to what we had been told on the phone initially). Eventually we got our money back and headed to the other hotel. Awful customer service, unappealing rooms, and a bunch of inconsistencies so I would definitely not recommend. We ended up staying at the Comfort Inn one exit North and had an excellent experience and free hot breakfast! Very glad we switched last minute
Not bad at all. Inexpensive, clean, basic accommodations. Exactly what I expected, and what I got.Good value for the money spent. If you want fancy go somewhere else, but if you need a clean place to do the four Ss (sleep, shower, shave, and well, you know the other one) its cost-effective, convenient and safe.
Our first room was a smoke smelling, non-smoking room, #109, but I was kindly given the choice of two other rooms, which I gladly checked out before committing to. I went with the one that didnt smell like anything (#210) but didnt think to check the bathroom. Silly me..... After driving 10 hrs with two small children and everyone sick on top of it? Who would ever think of wanting a hot shower. Not me you say? Well then, youll love this room! The shower doesnt even work, so no worries. And for a bonus... youll get a toilet that barely flushes and looks like its about to overflow - every time. In all fairness, I didnt mention the problem until 9pm, I was putting my children to sleep and heard someone shovelling the metal steps right outside our door. Luckily it was the manager and he did offer to check it right away and gave me advice on how to turn on a shower (as he knows it works)....but I said I would check with him in the morning as my kids were going to sleep.Positive outcome, in the morning he gave me a great discount on my room without even having to verify that the utilities didnt work...I gave it a 2 for the amount of bugs I found near the sink. One already dead btw so only have to deal with one, phew...
The front desk attendant and housekeeping staff was very nice and helpful! Very clean! The only complaints I have is that the mattress and pillows were in terrible shape. My boyfriend considered laying on the floor! Neck and backaches all around. And very small tv for the room size.
Dirty. Stains on sheets and towels. I couldnt recommend staying here. On the plus side, the lady at the front was very pleasant.
The room was very quiet. It was a handicap accessible room and might work well for someone in a wheelchair, but the bathroom door couldnt shut because it hit the end of the bed and there was nowhere to lay anything down, not even a toothbrush.
Rooms are ok for the price. Staff is very nice. When I checked in I went to my room and it was not serviced. Dirty towels, bed wasnt made etc. Got a new room and there were bed bugs.... Edit after speaking to the district manager he said they would send an exterminator and they also gave me a full refund. Like I said stuff is great but the hotel itself is iffy.
Our first room was dirty so they moved us 2nd room wasnt much better no bath towels at all the staff was nice about it is the only good thing I can say definitely get what ya pay for
The room was huge, plenty of space for my pitbull to run around and play. Unfortunately there was no microwave or mini fridge in our room, I had to bring my toaster in out the semi to make something to eat. The bed was far from comfortable, our feet where up higher than our heads. I tossed and turned all night long. The women that clean were super nice, I talked with 2 of them before checking out. The girl behind the counter was friendly as well. Nice people but Ive been to better Motel 6 before. Oh and they do not charge a pet fee, which was awesome.
This place was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The room was non smoking and reeked of smoke smells, there were bed bugs in the room and the mattress smelled like ammonia. Towels were not clean and the management was very hostile and rude. When he was confronted about the bed bugs he denied their presence even with picture evidence I would not recommend staying here unless you intend on leaving dirtier than you came.
Great location. Everyone was extremely friendly. I only wish I would have booked for 2 nights instead of 1 since they were booked solid the next night. Oh well, that was my fault. The room was very clean. The bed not real comfy but I did sleep, so all was good. The price was great! I will stay here again if in the area.
A clean, basic room which was ideal for one night when travelling from Canada to Florida. The best feature for me was that they allowed my two cats to stay, at no extra charge. We knew that breakfast was not included, but they did have coffee available - only minor quibble was that there was no milk or cream, just powdered milk.
Was not very happy with my stay. The housekeeper came to the door, was unaware it was her cause she didnt say housekeeping my wife told her we need towels and trash taken. We waited 4 or 5 hours to get them never showed up so after 1:30 my wife left we got back at 7 and the towels were laying on the bed and the trash was never taken. We had no extra toilet paper and we tried to call front desk, no answer so we went and brought some. I was very disappointed.
Pleasant staff, no problem with my reservation, got right into my room. The mattresses and pillows were comfortable. Everything was clean. A nice experience. Will definitely recommend this Motel 6 to my friends!
Im often nervous when staying at an inexpensive motel - will it be clean? Will it have any amenities? Will I like it? No need to be nervous here. The room was clean, everything I needed was included, the staff was pleasant and helpful. It was well worth the price.
I would have given this a decent rating because the room was warm and the beds soft. The problem was that the shower had one setting: scalding. Then once I got showered in 5 minutes to not boil my skin, I found a bed bug crawling on my infant daughters pillow.
Everything was great. We didnt pay for the fancy stuff. We just needed a safe, clean place to stay. The night time front desk lady was super sweet. It was just what we needed.

This Motel is one of the worst ones Ive stayed in. We stayed one night by the second night my children were getting bit by something. Go figure they had bed begs. The manager only move us to another room right next door and insisted there were no bugs. Wouldnt pay to have all my clothes and blankets to be cleaned I had to . Well a few days later the maintenance man came by my room and informed me that we were right his boss just had him go to that same room and spray for bed bugs. DO NOT WASTE UR MONEY HERE JUST TO GET BIT AND POSSIBLY RISK TAKING BUGS WITH U WHEN U LEAVE!!!!
Richard runs a tight operation, 1st class all the way. He seems to be on site always! The Motel is clean , the grounds are well kept and the staff is absolutely top notch. Dawn runs the cleaning staff like a Swiss Watch and the rooms show it. I have had some questionable stays at other Motel 6 locations but this Motel is Very Well Run and maintained!
Ive stayed at this location many times. I love that it has been remodeled! It has improved the hotel tremendously! I also appreciated that the room was warm when I checked in...some places keep the heater off if nobody is using it and its freezing, so I appreciate that! The only complaint would be that there is no fridge.
I wouldnt give any star. This place is so beyond nasty. The beds are so outdated youd be more comfortable sleeping in the parking lot on the asphalt. I was stuck in this horrific place for almost 3 weeks because our house wasnt ready and we have a large dog. The sign says weekly rates but of course they dont honour that. No refrigerator, no microwave, no comfortable chairs.
The staff are great at this Motel 6. They always make sure that my room is clean and that I get the microfridge I requested. They are friendly and courteous, when I check in and out. I now know them all by name and I stay at this location, whenever I come to see my grown children and grandchildren. I am originally from the Lima area but now live in Columbus and work at the call center for reservations.
Super friendly, made a fuss over my poodle. Great bunch. Love the motel 6 chain and this one is a shining star.
It was a good price. The room was pretty quiet and clean. Unfortunately the non-smoking room smelled of smoke. It was a big negative. I didnt ask to switch rooms and I probably should have, But I expect a labeled non-smoking room to be , well, non-smoking. Mike
There were people yelling outside at midnight, bed bugs,an oder when you walk into the room (it wasnt just that room it was multiple), and the toilets take forever to actually flush. Other than that the workers were helpful.
Very convenient My only concern was the room that I was in which was 101 the tub did not drain properly while I was showering. Other than that it was a comfortable, clean and bed bug-free stay.
Couldnt get neither key cards to work. Fridge was noisey, tv didnt work. And it had mold around the tub, def. Could have been cleaner.

A last minute pick in the middle of the night due to fatigue while on the road. Kind of loud and dirty. Air conditioner was loud and didnt work well. I had to change rooms because there was something that looked like blood on the sheets of the original room that I was given.The clerk was nice and apologetic and gave us a different room immediately.Overall, I was here about 7 hours. Long enough to sleep and shower and get back on the road.This was a huge disappointment for the motel 6 brand, the original pet friendly motel.
Cons :Smelled literally like pee in the room when you turned on the A/C / Heat unit. we rented 3 rooms. all the beds had burn holes in them, hairs on the sheets, one had what looked like blood, we had bugs in the room (crickets and spiders), had lots of shady figures hanging around / drinking openly, were charged for 5th person in each room ( problem is they cant sleep 5) and would not refund. was told it was corporate fault not theres and they could not do anything. Staff was semi rude ( I was pretty frustrated and he kept cutting me off saying it was corporates fault). We were overall very unhappy with how it was.Pros: Great hot shower.
For traveling construction workers you could do worse. Decent rates. Not a microwave in every room. Only cleaned 2x a week and not very well all they seem to do is make the bed and take out trash. Better than most wifi. could still use a bit more bandwidth when sold out. No luggage rack for my suitcase. Tv is HD but cable service is SD looks horrible. Main thing is no bedbugs. Decent rates. Good enough for a traveling construction worker.
This hotel has bed bugs. My coworkers and I all stayed there. While my coworkers were bitten, I was not, yet I was added to the do not rent list being accused of bringing bed bugs into their hotel. I have NEVER had an issue like this before. I stay in a new hotel every weekend due to work and I have refused hotels because of bed bug issues. This Motel 6 is a joke. Stay at your own risk.
Bathroom had blood on the walls. Bathtub had burns all over it. Floors in the entire room looked as if they had never been cleaned! Fighting next door all night sounded like they where going to come through the walls! Hotel front desk said yes we have his name!Never offered any thing to say sorry!!Would never stay again!!!
Our room was just a large blank area. Plenty of room for an over stuffed chair or two. Had a heck of a time getting the water turned on for a shower. Some thing just wasnt right. Had to get another key card because the first one just would not work,guess what the new one would not work either. I always liked Motel 6 until now. Hey Bob forget about leaving the light on, fix up the rooms !Dave
I searched for over an hour looking at reviews and calling around. This place was under $50 and is exactly what I would want. Its 60° outside and my heater was already on in my room. Clean and both staff members, on the phone and in person, were welcoming. Checked in at 12:35am in under 10 minutes. After a safe cab ride with Black & White taxi service
I stay here while on business quite often. Not too bad, a lot of places to eat within walking distance. All rooms have the new updated Motel 6 look. The staff is usually courteous.

Service was acceptable. However the rooms were another story. Deadbolt on door would not function. Sink was plumbed up backward hot was cold and cold was hot. Toilet was wobbly on floor. Shower was EXTREMELY difficult to turn water on and off. Room and beds etc was clean . Would not even begin to honor any discount (AARP, AMA) etc.
The room wasnt too bad, but had a couple live bugs. The people in the room above us had lead boots on at 5:00 am till at least 6:30; came downstairs and screamed in a foreign language in front of our door. Phone only had dial tone; would not dial front desk and no instructions on phone. Had to use cell to call office and get password for internet.
After being on the road for 13 hours I stopped at this motel thinking that since it was newly remolded that it would be decent , wrong ! The floors havent been mopped in awhile ( never ) an maintenance was a joke ! Next time Ill keep going till I find something that is more cleaner an the management is more caring !! Not even worth the one star I had to choose to post this comment !
The bathroom was a bit small and not the best water pressure, but the room was very clean, the staff wasreally friendly, beds were comfortable. For the price of a quick spot to stop and sleep it was well worth it.
After staying there a month ago and having excellent service from Connie. We chose to stay again. The woman at the counter ( Cynthia) was much less pleasant. I had very specifically booked a smoking room and her response was. Sorry dont have one ( which after watching the rooms they did) its your choice take the non smoking or you can try to find somewhere else. This was after we had traveled 900 miles. Not so pleasant a stay.
It was affordable and quiet, clean enough rooms. It was a quick stay , they need better vending machines.
$46 a night . . . Dont be fooled, they charged us $90 and said they only had the handicapped room available. It was late and we had been driving all day and were tired so took the room. We had made several stops from Dayton to Lima looking for a room but nothing descent available. Our room was to have been smoke free, even had sticker on the door however the stench of smoke was vile the moment we stepped into the room. No fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker, no toiletries, no clock, no breakfast. The guy at the front desk said there would be coffee in the front office in the morning . . . yup, there was, one pot for all 100+ guests. The room consisted of two beds, two old kitchen type chairs an a tv that was set behind a frame so the sensor for the remote was blocked. The large handicap bathroom was an accident waiting to happen. The toilet was too close to the floor (should have been the higher one for those in wheelchairs or using walkers or a cane) and wasnt completely bolted to the floor. The seat in the walk in shower was only bolted to the wall on one side, the other bracket was missing all the screws. Cant say anything nice about this motel. Wont be staying at any Motel 6 ever again. On the brighter side, and nothing to do with the motel, was all the awesome monster trucks in the parking lot, what a site it was to see them all. Oh and considering the motel was fully booked, these monster truck owners were relatively quiet . . . thanks guys! In closing, this place is a dump, if youre desperate and its your last resort, sleep in your vehicle!
It was clean. There were not enough towels and we had to go to the office to get them. We did enjoy having our dog with us. Please continue to allow dogs. Not a luxury motel for sure. Very bare bones.
Clean, modern, comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi & large freezer compartment in the refrigerator for freezing my water bottles. Accidentally left an item in the room when I left. Called the Motel about it & they held on to it until I could recover it. Decent value.
Very nice place for the $60 we paid, better than alot of the hotels we pay over a hundred for! Quiet , clean and friendly! We will be looking for more Hotel 6 signs on our travels. I have 3 dogs and they had no problem with that. I highly recommend Motel 6 in Lima Ohio!
Cheap room, mostly clean, fairly comfortable bed, worst two-ply toilet paper Ive ever seen. Perfect for a quick sleep on a long trip. I wouldnt stop there with my family.
It all started off so nice, people are polite. Its super quite... but I found one huge problem.. I mean a few small problems... Named BED BUGs. Has I was staying in room 120 I got some weeks feelings and woke up. Then I decided the look through the sheets and that where I found them.. Small amount of bed bugs crawling throughout the covers and bed itself. If I were you I wouldnt stay here.. Cheap but thats what you get for cheap.
Main reason I cant give it more stars is that, even though we only stayed one night, I got hardly any sleep and my husband didnt sleep very well. The room was nice but the bed was as hard as a rock and the two pillows on our queen bed were, when put side by side, the size of a small pillow. It was like trying to use a sofa throw pillow as a normal bed pillow. There was also a loud banging noise everytime anyone around us turned on the water. And we could hear almost every noise outside our room.
I stayed here one night for work. It is a pretty bare bones motel. They did have a fridge, microwave and flat screen TV with full cable. The Wi-Fi was ridiculously slow, but thats no surprise. There is no pool or breakfast area. The room was kind of dirty. There were stains on the sheets, some grime in the bath tub, a used bar of soap in the bath tub. The room next to me smelled strongly of sewage or something rotten. The bed and pillows were kind of uncomfortable. There are some restaurants within walking distance at least.
Pretty much what you would expect out of a Motel 6, the rooms were okay, a little smelly, the pillow was very uncomfortable though. Nothing special, but no real problems. The bed seemed to have a cigarette hole in it though, and the blanket was like a burlap sack.
Inexpensive, good location, and clean. For the price you rather expect a hovel but gladly it is a clean place that has been renovated not that long ago. Nothing fancy of course but if you want a clean bed for less money on your trip this is a good pick.
Good location but that is it! The cleaning people say they dont vacuum because they dont have carpet. Looks as if they DONT use mops either. Spiders crawling everywhere so they need a pest control company. There are pubic hairs on sink counter. Mold in tub above tub. Return think before you book.The foreigners in the office try to charge double. There are several of us and each person had a different price quote even though we had reservations, therefore we had to prove the price quoted originally.
We booked a room for 2 nights ..i had guaranteed the room online and checked that i would be paying in cash...my boyfriend went in with the paper and they charged his credit card then apologized for not taking the cash ..the first night was alright but we got to the room late and exhausted the next night the room above us blared the stereo from 10 30 pm until past 3 am...i went to call the front desk but the phone was broken so i walked through the snow to the front desk and complained about the noise and phone and asked for an ashtray....he told me he would look into it and handed me a styrofoam cup for an alternative to an ashtray. ....he never could find the source of the noise and i finally got tired and put ear plugs in and slept......doubt very much i stay here again...
Room missing toilet paper, soaps, I called front desk and they didnt bring up! Last straw, after paying in advance for 2 bites, shower wouldnt turn on! My husband is a strong man, he couldnt pull the knob on. Called front desk again. They sent up female housekeeper, who basically had to stand in tub to pull knob on. Awful! She did bring toiletry items, a day late! So, 2 day stay, 1 shower, tub water wouldnt run down, and of course nothing from management! All this means do NOT ever stay at this hotel!
You really cant beat the value of this place. The rooms are big, have good face appeal, comfy beds, and FAST WIFI. I did find the room service for the first 2 weeks of my 4 week stay to be pretty lacking.. (had to get my own TP multiple times even after the room was serviced, or only being left a wash cloth and two foot style towels). The last two weeks I dont know if I had a different person or what but it was 100% better. Another problem was the TV didnt seem to work with external devices (PS4 in my case) and the front desk didnt have many answers why. But still for the price you cant look past this place. If it would have had rooms open I would of continued to stay here. Also its close to lots of food choices which is a big plus.

Room 148 has roaches I seen a couple of dead ones in the bathroom seen 2 more that were alive one was crawling on the bed and one was crawling on the wall... They key card wasnt working had it replaced and it still barely works the battery in the remote were dead got the remote replaced and the replacement doesnt work either
I have stayed the night here three times in the last few months (all different rooms). Every time I have stayed, the comforter in each room has had burn holes and stains. Gross! If I could leave a picture of the comforter from the last time I satayed there, I would!
I wish they had carpet outside of the bathroom in front of the sink. Its weird walking on vinyl floors after showering, dont know how clean the floor is. Other than that it is a good room
The room was fine. It had a microwave and refrigerator. The staff were helpful. It was good price for what was offered. I slept great.
Unfriendly front staff. I emailed a request for fridge and microwave but was told they didnt have any available. Ok maybe not that night but my husband was staying 5 days and was told they wouldnt have them available none of the days. They had the wrong check out date. Although I showed her my emails and confirmation she proceeded to tell us to get our things out of the room that she couldnt accomidate us. Long story short, we stayed the 1 night instead of the 5 originally planned. Front desk employee was rude and didnt even try to help or accomidate. All the pictures of the room show a microwave and fridge in the room.
I use to like coming to this motel, I take my son to college twice a year. Last night I had the worst experience. The so call general manager was very rude. He dismissed me like I was no body. I had to let him know he was rude, after driving for 10hrs you do not want to hear we have no rooms, when you made a reservation. He did not even asked me if I had a reservation. I think I will stay somewhere else next time.
The Motel 6 in Lima used to be cheap. Then they renovated and jacked up the prices. Its still a dump, just a dump with new laminated flooring. My room flooded while I was there and when I informed the front desk man, he threw his hands in the air and said there was nothing he could do. I suggested he give me some towels so I can mop up the water. He gave me three hand towels. I was supposed to stay 3 nights. I left after 1 and went elsewhere.
Perfect except loud in the morning. Noise started at about 5 am and woke me up a few times. It came from outside the hotel i think, but would rattle the window. Other than that clean newly renovated room.
We travel extensively for our jobs. This motel was a very good value. Clean, recently updated, comfortable, and friendly. We liked that we were able to park next to our room. We will stay here again.
The beds were made but the toilet and floor was dirty when I checked in, and wasnt cleaned until the next day when I asked the housekeeper to clean it. I went to use the microwave which was inconveniently located downstairs and there was a man lying on the floor in front of it with his pants down, very disappointing.
We always have a very good experience at this location especially since your remodeling. Our only issue is housekeeping knocking on our door 3 hours before check-out time. This is very annoying and we have addressed it on other occasions and there is still no do-not-disturb sign in the room.
First time staying at a Motel 6. Room was simple but was comfortable and clean. We were traveling with a trailer so really liked the location that we could walk to restaurants.
One of the nicer Motel 6s o have been to. Pet friendly. Next to a bunch of fast food joints and dining locations. Walmart is half a mile away and The Lima Mall is only about 15 minutes through town.
I payed 400 dollars for a week stay and within that week I saw multiple Sheriff cruisers strolling the parking lot and I heard police knocking on doors at 4 am. Definitely would not recommend. Was not fun at all

Nice up to date rooms. Easy check in...nothing bad except they didnt have what they said. I thought they would have both a mini fridge and microwave. But they only had one and not the other.
I wish I could give 0 stars, this is by far the worst customer service and the worst managed establishment I have ever been to in my life! I do not reccomend staying here at all unless it is your last resort. Furthermore a gentleman just walked in the lobby and said the cleaning people stole all of his cash out of his room and they wont even check the cameras.
After the first night at the hotel started to get what appeared to be bug bites all of my arms and legs. Did a search of the room and couldnt find anything, bites continued through out my stay. Unsure what kind of bug bites they are, but will need to go to the doctor due to swelling.
If looking for a place just to sleep, this is the place. Clean but no amenities(alarm clock, hair dryer, coffe pot etc). Sheets were not very soft and the bed and air conditioner were both noisy. Close to restraunts and I 75. I would suggest you pay ahead because they did NOT honor the quote on my confirmation
Very modern rooms that are spacious. Up to date in every way. Hardwood floors all the way through. Extremely nice and affordable. My stay of two weeks was fantastic.
I was in the area on business and stayed here 2 weekends in a row. The rooms were nice and clean. There was a microwave, mini fridge and flat screen tv. The price was exceptional.
The front desk staff is amazing! I had to send an emergency fax and they helped me out with a smile. They helped with directions and restaurant recommendations and anything else I asked for. It was a very pleasant week.
This was a very basic hotel room, comfortable beds, bathroom, table with two chairs, all we needed for our weekend stay. Morning coffee in the office, Bob Evans next-door, and convenient to shopping restaurants and our destination.

Last year, my review of this place was much rougher than it need to be. While watching Modern Family, Manny Delgado said something very profound: ...A lot of amenities disappear when an H turns into an M! The truth in that statement hit me like a ton of bricks! If you want extras (Courtesy and Cleaning are extras), go to the Country Inn & Suites or Wingate by Wyndham...and pay triple the rate.Ok, the staffs indifferent, and totally ignored my room the last several days of my stay. Its independently owned and thats the sacrifice for getting a three time lower price. When I checked in the room was clean and after the first couple days I had to get my own towels, I can live with that.So, you get the best price in Lima; which is offset by the amenities that disappeared when the H turned into an M!

The only reason we stayed was due to your pet policy and the price. Thank you for allowing dogs over 50lbs and not having a pet fee. There was no ice machine even though it was on a map at the front desk and listed in the room.

I was told the weekly rate was $320.54 for a single. When my husband checked in they told him they didnt have any single rooms AND charged him for a double,$360.64. Its not his fault they didnt have any singles. Also there are no microwaves or fridges.
I visited a friend who was staying there, her roomed looked completely updated with hardwood floors and very clean, plus she said she hasnt noticed any bugs which is a good thing.
Had to move rooms twice one had bedbugs the other one the TV didnt work wouldnt stay in the building the cops were outside when we left questioning the maintenance guy about stealing from a guest
Having a couple inch bump to get in the room and bed heights that will challenge the shoulders of someone transferring means independent people in chairs should be wary. Also, you need a reasonably narrow chair (approx 28) to get from your room to the office without having to go all the way around in the parking lot. The 6 continues to mystify me. The first chain to consistently adapt bathrooms well, including the most roll-in showers, Yet they consistently make the rooms difficult to get to/in and are now making the beds difficult to use. Can you say schizophrenic?

Overall it was a good stay. Just needed some extra blankets. Other than that the room was clean....P.S. the shards of prewrapped soap are a tad bit small.

I enjoyed my stay at Motel 6 the room was clean the beds with fresh everything was in place I am a handicap person and the only thing that I had an issue with was your mounted shower chair was a little unsturdy so I did not use it but other than that everything else was satisfactory.
Stayed here for the 4 Wheel Jamboree. Its a decent place to stay. Did not see any bugs and I check thoroughly. Other than sleeping here we did not do much.

I had to sweep the floor because of black dog hair and wiped it with a damp towel which was a little black because of the unclean floor and the ice machines were not working. Price was cheapest in the area but you get what you pay for.
Everything was nice the only problem I have is the owners walking there animal dont use pooper scooper. If you park crosswalk and step out the car you have to watch where you put your feet.

Indeed, Sam is rude. The motel is in disrepair. The carpet is nasty. You can hear the pipes rattle in the wall if someone turns the water on. I will never stay here again. BEWARE
Our first room was not cleaned and it was on the upper level and we had to go all the way down and around to the office to get a second room. Things were old, not the upgraded décor that is advertised.
Its a motel 6, and not the worst Ive been to. But there were used condoms and cigarettes in the garbage can when we checked in(there was no bag in the can either).
The room was nicely done. We like that there was a fridge and microwave. Needed more pillows but other then that was nice.
The rooms are unusually big. They have ample parking space. Worked out good with with my 16 ft truck and a car that I was tollying along.

The sink clogged and I had to fix it to get it to drain. Also, the icemaker was dead. The recent cold snap caused its internal plumbing to freeze because the temperature control of that utility room was absent or failed. Really, pay attention to maintenance and plumbing.
Horrible bed. The pillows must be 15 years old. Could not use them. The laminate floors havent been cleaned in I dont know how long. Mold around the bath tub.

I have stayed there 3 of the 4 last weekend due to a family crisis, the price is the only reason , i never got a good nights rest beds ar too hard , something was biteing me , the floor was on the verg of coming up , the towels were hard and discolored, the door in one room was hard to open and close the lock wouldnt turn , i was in rooms 217, 224, 240 i will be coming back to the area quite often over the next 2 months to keep an eye on my father and if i stay there i hope its not just because of my budget because just because someone has limited funds they they still deserve a better value for there money.
Burn holes in bedspread, people coming in/going out all night long. You hear opening/closing of doors, phone rings at 2 a.m, probably a scammer. If you want sleep, dont come here!

If you can get past the teenagers throwing orgies, parties, and etc its okay. I mean I really dont go there often but for some reason every time I did, there were just a bunch of drunk underage kids going crazy either next door or below me. But I slept well after 2 AM.

2022-05-03I travel all over the US and stay at hotels 5 nights out of the week every week for work. Sometimes I get lucky and book a decent room on line. This is one of the nicest rooms Ive stayed in the area. It looks like they remodeled but thats not what this review is about. Sheri, at the front desk is 5 diamonds not five stars. 2022-02-20This is a great place for a good price. They have smoking rooms and they went above and beyond to get me one even though they were almost out of them. I got into my room and the front desk called to make sure everything was okay. Ive never had that happen before. But I have to say that a coffee pot and dresser would be nice. (Or at leastva second small table, if not a dresser, to stash things on.)

2022-04-15The staff was really nice and understanding. I had a major issue of bed bug bites when I awoke the next morning and I’m itching like crazy now at home and will not return due to this. Wishing I checked the bed before and told the management for my money back besides this the staff was ok and the room was ok but will not return.

2021-12-21Went back to Motel 6 Lima and it was better than before!! I would give more stars if I could. My family has found a new home in Lima. Beds are super comfortable and rooms are really clean! JW the manager runs a good thing and is Super friendly. For a good rate. This is a great clean motel. Well be back!

JW, the manager really cares about his guests. I will be back and recommend to anyone. I saw a few negative reviews online but that’s not the experience I had. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

2021-12-25I am waiting for the hotel return 1 night that was charged to my credit card inappropriately. I checked out on 12/22/2021 at 06:00am. At the end of 12/22/2021 they charged 1 night again, as I had already checked out and everything was paid for. I got in touch with the hotel reception and they said I would pass it on to the supervisor, Im waiting for my money to be returned and so far no one has returned it to me. 2021-05-18Positive: Location was good. The price was ok. Negative: The bed lacked enough pillows for 2 adult people. The bed was smaller than anticipated (queen size). The room lacked enough towels and no standard room service was offered. I would definitely not return. Was expected better from them.
