Montessori School of Dayton is a truly wonderful community school. My daughters have attended the school for the past four years, and due to the excellence of the school, we plan on both finishing their elementary and middle school years here. My children are so happy with and love their school community and excellent teachers.Montessori is a clear and effective antidote to the problems associated with traditional education, and this school in particular provides a kind and nurturing environment for children to grow and learn in according to their own interests and individual capacities, not the dictates of high pressure testing and relentless progress through curriculum that has little relationship to what is age appropriate for children.The school is a full member of the American Montessori Society, which speaks to the high degree of fidelity to the Montessori philosophy, method and materials that is so clearly evident at the school. Additionally, I feel compelled to mention that the music program is fantastic!In sum, If you are even remotely considering enrolling your child in a Montessori program or private school, then I urge you to make an appointment to visit this outstanding school.

I am sure the school is incredible, and delivers nothing but the best to the students that attend. Unfortunately, the Administration staff was awful, unorganized, and rude when responding to my wifes inquiry to tour the school. Perhaps they arent hurting for perspective students, but nonetheless we felt completely disregarded by Sarah when asking to schedule a tour. As a former student of the Montessori lineage, I am disappointed that Dayton Montessori will not be an option for my sons education.
