This place is awesome! Great work installing the lift on Dads truck. Also the class they gave us on how to load the scooter and drove the scooter was very detailed. The people that helped us were amazing. Thank you.

My father purchased a side loading van from Mobility Works. I helped him with the purchase because he lived with us. He was desperate to have a mode of transportation because his lack of mobility occurred unexpectedly, and he needed a way to doctor’s appointments. A salesperson brought a van to our home about 1 hour from Mobility Works. We test drove it, but the smell of smoke was too bad for us to purchase it. The salesperson brought another one. This one seemed better, but it was very loud and seemed to have a muffler issue. We asked about it and were told all modified vehicles sound like that, so we trusted them. The check engine light was on, and we were told it was because the original gas cap was lost and the replacement didn’t fit exactly which caused the check engine light to be on. We asked to keep the van overnight so our mechanic could look at it and were told that wasn’t an option for insurance reasons. On trust and out of desperation, my dad paid $28,700 for the van. Well, let’s just say it was a lemon. Not long after we purchased it, the muffler system fell off on the highway. When we took it to be repaired, the shop said the system was horribly put together. Not long after that, the van wouldn’t start. We got a new battery. That lasted 3 months and died because the alternator was bad. We replaced the alternator and put new tires on it. Then, the anti-lock brake system stopped working. We had the van four years before my dad died. I called Mobility Works to try to resell it to them. I was told the best they could offer was $7500 if it was in good condition. When I expressed my disappointment because my dad had paid 4x that, I was told that is how capitalism works. They could charge my dad a high amount because his need was high and there was a short supply of vehicles. That doesn’t sound like supply and demand to me. That sounds like taking advantage of the handicapped. I also found out in trying to sell it that it has a bad rust problem, but it was covered up by a cheap paint job to disguise it and the cheap paint job is now peeling off. I would never, ever recommend Mobility Works to anyone!

Five star experience! Trish scheduled our appointment and followed through on the installation process of an inverter in our van. She advised us as to what was going on, how long it would take, and when they were finished. Rommie performed the installation and it looks great! He did a very professional job and we are extremely happy. Everyone else we came into contact with was very nice and made sure that we were taken care of. My husband and I highly recommend this company!!!

Pick up my car today with newly installed hand controls. Dan Cargill was super professional and helpful. He helped me through the process. I am very impressed. From the start, everything went so smoothly. Even handled the paperwork for the insurance company. Very fast turn around time. Im very excited to get my mobility back. Thank you Dan and your team on Moe Drive Akron Ohio.

What a wonderful experience! We were trying to do the impossible. We needed a wheelchair access van for a young man returning from the hospital on January 2nd. It was Dec 31st in the afternoon. What would be the chance of finding the right vehicle at the right price and getting it to the mother before New Years Day so that she would have it for her son on the next day. My first thought was impossible. But we thought wed just give it a try. Fortunately we chose MobilityWorks in Aron. Todd, the Sales Manager, and Katy, his assistant, were amazing! Not only did they have a quality vehicle at a great price, they made the deal work. They arranged to deliver it to the mom that afternoon (New Years Eve) and train her in how everything worked. It was classified as a test drive. That allowed her to actually close on the deal on Jan 2nd, after her son come home. Of course, Katy went to her home to do the paperwork so that she didnt have to leave her son. What service! These are good people with a great product at a reasonable price who truly care.

When I arrived there was nobody at the greeting desk. After waiting about 5 minutes I wheeled my wheelchair toward the back where the garage is. I found several people and told them I was there for an appointment could someone help me. One of the ladies said she could, but then a gentleman says he would come also. When the gentleman and I got to my Van I gave him my keys and then I showed him where there was two bolts with 4 - 5 inches of slits with the bolts. I asked him to find out who is libel to fix my door, since my car is only a 2017. While I was waiting for my car getting a regular check-up, plus they look at my wheelchair lock, and many more items. I went outside to get some fresh air, and a gentleman came outside and I noticed his car had the same marks w/slits on his car door. So he and I talked about our cars for about 15 minutes. I went back in to the waiting room and waited for my Van to be done. Then the mechanic came out and said my Van is done, but I wanted to know about the cracks on my car door. The mechanic said that the bolts and splits will not be covered by the manufacturer. I got really upset. I went to pay my bill and nobody was at the desk. I waited about 5 minutes then I went to the back again where there was 2 girls and 3 men. One of the girls asked if she could help me, and I needed to pay my bill. As Im paying my bill I asked the girl for the managers phone number. She wanted to know why I wood need the managers phone number. I told her I wanted to talk to the manager because I wasnt happy with the outcome of my door situation. Im going to keep on this situation until I talk to the right person or persons to find out who is going to pay for it.

Mobility Works Akron installed hand controls on my car in December 2018. We were not greeted when we arrived and also were not spoken to during our 6 1/2 hrs there unless we asked a question. No hospitality offered in any way - customer skills were very poor. The only time there was any friendliness was when it came time to pay.In February I returned to have some adjustments made to try to make my driving experience more comfortable. At that time I asked to be involved in the process of positioning the controls. I was assured I could be...their idea of involvement was to have me sit in the car after they had repositioned everything (3 hour process). If I wanted any other changes it would have meant another 3 hours - in other words there was no involvement on my part.Over the next few days I discovered that they had damaged the steering column adjustment lever (I will be unable to sell the car without the part). I took the car to my Honda dealership to verify my findings which they did. I received an invoice from Honda to replace the damaged part. I called Mobility Works - no call back. I wrote to Mobility Works including a copy of the invoice - no response. I called again - that call was returned but no resolution to the issue. General Manager was to have called me the following Monday - it is now Friday of that week and I have not received a call. Just tried calling them 4 times - call was dropped after the introductory message. If no word by Monday I will contact the Better Business Bureau and my attorney.Hope to repost a satisfactory resolution to this problem.3/26/19After my previous review on 3/15/19 I was contacted by Joe, the Regional Manager. He was apologetic, concerned, and interested in a resolution that would be satisfactory to me. He listened to my experience with Akron Mobility Works and we reached a satisfactory resolution that included the replacement of the damaged part to my car. The next call was from Ernie, the Akron site manager. He arranged with the Honda dealership to make payment for the part. I picked up the part today. While not being satisfied with my install process with Mobility Works Akron, I was pleased with the prompt follow-up by the Regional Manager.

Had our van checked over and an oil change. The waiting room was nice and comfy with little refreshments. It was a very nice atmosphere, and staff was pleasant.

We have rented a van here several times. The first time there were several issues. They were quite apologetic and did not charge us. Since then there have been no problems. They are always prompt to respond, respectful, and courteous. We are very glad they are in the Akron area and will continue to rent from them.
