We walk on the paths of this Nature Reserve almost every day. It has wide, beautifully maintained bridges, paved paths and some dirt paths to explore. It’s fun to learn about all the tree species in the arboretum. We see deer, blue herons, hawks, gold finches and many other birds. What a treasure!
The most mindful and tranquil trail you will find in the Dublin vicinity. Upon entering this Reserve, you will encounter a cool breeze that entraps some of natures finest scents. Fantastic placing for walking and biking. The trail also has some hidden pathways within the trees that you may find intriguing. It also accompanys a marvelous pond that you can view from all directions from the path that besieges the water. The historic homestead is also a nice site to see: giving an inside look over the products of the Homstead Act in 1862 and prior.
This was a great place. Check out the Arboretum in the 1860s cabin! Beautifully manicured spaces. Im here for the first time when an Earth Day planting and put in a lot of great plants and the rest of the team did an enormous amount of invasive removal. Check out red trabue!
I love this trsil/park! Mainly because of the Karrer pond thats so close to it. It really is gorgeous any season at any time. They have paved paths and also unpaved l. The wooded areas are filled with amazing beautiful tall old trees. Typically you see a lot of wildlife both in and around the pond. A few families of deer like to settle in the tall grasses that the paths walk through. Chances are youll get a good glimpse of a family of deer. I advise you not to ice skate on the pond LOL. The Karrer pond can be fished without license and if proper size youre allowed to keep your catch. The pond has a dock and walkway with numerous benches and it Jets out far into the pond and it makes a perfect place for a family picnic or just a place to go sit and relax. Dublin does such a great job maintaining the parks and Im very grateful for it. Thanks you Dublin parks and rec!

2022-04-28Awesome park in Dublin OH. Park by the Recreation Center and walk all the way to the Carter middle school and back. Walking 10 000+ steps will get you and your family active:). Not crowded, beatiful nature and wildlife.

2022-06-12Beautiful walk through all sorts of trees on a well maintained path. The old cabin is a nice addition to a pleasant walk. Looking through the identified trees is a great way to get familiar with the look of varieties of mature species which grow well in the area. The path also connects to Indian run and Coffman trails which makes for a long relaxing running/biking way.

2021-01-23We were there as part of Dublin parks and rec Polar hike series. It was fabulous, we had a guide telling us all about the wildlife, the history, the trees, seriously an amazing adventure! I highly recommend! Only draw backs were it was 20 degrees and no bathrooms:)

2019-05-09Live in the area and thought we would check this out. It’s awesome! You can connect the trails to Indian Meadows Park and make a great little walk. We got 4 miles in and enjoyed it immensely. Well maintained and not too crowded. There weren’t restrooms so if you gotta go hit it before you head out!

2022-05-20Horrible Park, a bear almost ate me, but luckily I fought back and saved three babies. And then, when I thought I was save, a giant frog came and tried to eat my babies. But besides the bear and the giant frog, great Park, really recomended (:
