Great experience! Due to a cancellation, Briar was able to come same day as I called for service! And he did a great job and fixed the problem quickly and carefully. He was professional, friendly, and courteous! Will be back and recommend to others!

Electric Tech, Tyler Howe, was super helpful in identifying the wiring issue for the outlet near our above ground pool. They were able to get us scheduled day-of and he identified a major wiring issue and helped close off the problem until we can schedule much more extensive work. Would definitely recommend.
This is my first time having an electrician come to my house for anything. I called a couple of places, but nobody was able to confirm an appointment (non-emergency) this month. Mister Sparky scheduled an appointment for 2 days later. Mike offered a couple of options to correct my problem. I, of course, chose the least expensive/quickest option. The guy who came out, Patrick, was very professional and friendly. He diagnosed and repaired the odd clicking sound from my electrical panel. Before he left made sure my appliance connected to the repaired breaker was running properly, and was able to catch the main breaker going bad and correct it too!He went the extra mile for me and I appreciate it.

Kyle hooked our generator up to our home fuse box. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and worked in a timely fashion. He took the time to show us how to use it when the time comes. Any electric work we have done in the future, hopefully will be performed by him. Thank you, Kyle. :)
While rehabbing this house, I realized a circuit was dead. Breaker was fine. Despite my 40 years of experience doing electrical work, I spent two days but could not locate the problem. It took Patrick from Mr Sparky two hours but he finally isolated the problem. Price charged was very reasonable for the work done.
I had 2 problems. The first was ignorance about a wall receptacle behavior. The second was a loose wire in a ceiling fan. I received instruction on the first, and a speedy repair on the second. Charged only for the second! I will gladly keep Mr. Sparky as a go-to for electrical work,
Chris came out to a house I am preparing to purchase. There was an item that the home inspector flagged as a major issue that could cost quite a bit of money. I contacted Mr. Sparky and they sent Chris out same day. Chris called me (as I live out of the area) and was able to correct the issue and save me hundreds of dollars. An honest fix to the problem and no attempt to quote for more than needed. I will be using this company in the future.
Michael did a killer job on my garage and I’m incredibly thankful. They respond quickly, show up on time, and work hard. I had roughly 15-16 outlets installed in my garage and I won’t hesitate to reach out to Michael with Mr Sparky again if I need more work done.

Kyle was very respectfully and Professional, arrived on time and talk to me about the job and got on to it . They put new primary cable, moved meter out of the house. Installed a home standby generator. I will be hiring them again.
Joe came over to give a quote on changing a chandelier for us. He came the next day with Vince to complete the work. It was a bit tricky and the old chandelier was rather large. But those guys got the job done. Very professional, great attitude, very refreshing..
Awesome service. Explained process and was very methodical and patient! Took nearly 4 hours but solved the problem and didnt charge more than original quote. Very impressive!
Had some outlets in our lower level area that was baffling to us because it was in a centralized area and not the entire level. It took Kyle less than 15 minutes to find the cause and rectify it! Great job and quick!
We had a circut stop working and couldnt figure where it was broken. We have a newborn and 2 dogs. Patrick was great and friendly and helped explain what he found and hiw he was going to repair it. We had just demod our master bath and were ready for the electrical work to be done, only our regular electrician was 5 weeks out. Mr. Sparky was able to come the next working day. Kyle & Codey were prompt, professional and got the job completed in a few hours.

I asked Mr. Sparky to fix a circuit breaker that they had supposedly fixed in 2019. They fixed it and then charged me $418.00 for something that they had previously fixed. After multiple e-mails and phone calls to ask for some type of discount or reduction in the price due to previously completed work, they did not offer any type of discount and did not return calls. The electrician who performed the work was friendly and professional but their after service customer service was terrible. I will not use them again.
Great experience ! Very honest about everything that needed to be done and any possibly complications. I called later in the day 5/31 and had an appointment for today 6/1 ! Considering we needed someone ASAP they did just that ! We will be suggesting mr sparky to everyone with electrical needs !
Briar was extremely knowledgeable and professional throughout his visit. Helped us move a pesky outlet that was unreachable in our garage to a new location and took care of a few cables coming out of our breaker panel that were unsafe. When we need any electrical work done in the future, well be calling Mr. Sparky and Briar again!

Codey has responded to our home a couple of times. He is knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I would recommend anyone using Mr. Sparky to ask for him by name.
I scheduled an appointment and my window was 10-2. After not calling or showing up by 2pm I had to call them. They said the electrician was running late and would be 20 minutes more at the job then on his way. After over an hour later they still werent here. Wasted an entire day off waiting for them. Dont use them.

He listened to my problem and we discussed potential solutions.At once he was able to diagnose repair and replace a dangerous outlet with a arcing neutral wire. My home is now safe and I have confidence using the outlet he replaced.I would recommend Sparky Electric for potential customers as they are affordable and trustworthy.
Michael performed an inspection of my houses electrical wiring because I was unsure if it was safe due to there being some aluminum wiring in the panel. He was very honest and thorough in his explanations. He told me that the wiring was done properly and that as long as I took a few minor precautions such as replacing devices that are not rated for aluminum wiring, that I would be fine. He also inspected a few other areas that I had questions about. I would definitely recommend Mister Sparky and Michael for any electrical inspections or work.
Spoke with technician Kyle he was a very great guy he called me telling me he was on his way i explained the situation to him he aske me to check a couple of things which i did. Kyle said this is a Duke Energy issue, i called Duke Energy they came a fixed the issue said it was faulty equipment of theirs. Thank to Kyle & his honesty i wound up not having to pay anything for the electrical problem. Thanks again Kyle for your honesty and willing to look out for the consumer

Patrick was prompt, knowledgeable, addressed all my miscellaneous concerns. He brought to my attention a potentially hazardous wire issue in the kitchen that will be corrected by Mr. Sparky. Plan to sign up for a maintenance plan suggested by him for furnace upkeep as well. All around satisfying experience.
We called Mr Sparky to check our electrical panel and meter after the pole in front of our house was hit and the wires to our house were torn from their connection. The guys were on time, very professional, appeared very knowledgeable and helpful. Great service.

My moms house was completely without electricity last week late in day. Mr. Sparky came out and couldnt fix that night. We already knew that electric box didnt like to get wet and that day it rained 3 inches. Sparky came back first thing in morning, with head electrician and began to install new panel. It looks great and they even labeled all the circuits.
They were very professional, on-time and efficient. They were able to remedy the issue in less than 30 mins when we had another company out two separated times and they were unable to find the issue. They were very professional, yet very personable. I will be using them in the future if more electric work is needed.
We had a burning smell coming from an outlet that was hot to the touch. Called 3 companies and the only one that was responsive and got someone out that day was Mister Sparky. Chris was friendly, helpful, explained the problem, and repaired it quickly.

His knowledge helped us solve the problem quickly, and at the lowest cost. Patrick with Mr.Sparky did an excellent job installing a chandelier at my house. He came a couple weeks prior and explained the job and gave a quote. During today’s visit, he was on time and worked smart and efficiently. I had no overhead lighting in the room prior, so this is install required feeding a new wire and cutting in the drywall. Before cutting he mapped everything out and made very minimal cuts in the drywall (less than expected). I would recommend him to any family or friends.

I was happy with the electric service but they left the drywall unfinished that they cut out and it looks awful. For $2600 they should have fixed the drywall they cut out. Now I have to hire someone else to fix the wall.

Chris Flinker was very helpful and efficient. He not only fixed all of our electrical issues and looked at multiple other areas we pointed out, but waived a fee, and also gave us quotes for other services that we inquired about.
This electrician is extremely expensive. I called them because my regular electrician is very busy and this business has wonderful reviews. I asked for some general pricing on outlet installation when I called but was told the tech would have to assess and provide an estimate. The trip charge is $49. When the tech came, he told me their pricing for outlet installation is a set price ($598) which is nearly double what my regular electrician charges. If Mr. Sparky had provided their “set price” over the phone, I could have avoided the $49 trip charge, saved my time and their time. The tech was prompt and professional but wow, you’re going to pay a lot! I’ll wait a few weeks for my other electrician rather than pay these prices.
I used Mr. Sparky of Cincinnati today for the first time, and the technician did a fantastic job! He fixed 3 ceiling light fixture problems, allayed my concerns about a previous installation, was super friendly, and gave me good advice for the future. Mr. Sparky does great work. 😁

Had a breaker that kept tripping . It finally stopped working . Patrick came out and found the issue . He was kind knowledgeable and efficient.

Kyle was amazing. He worked so hard replacing my old fuse box that burnt with a brand new breaker box. New meter and new lines. I had know idea what all would be involved. Paid $49 for a service call to assess some electrical installation in finishing a basement. Kyle Cortright was on time, extremely courteous, thorough, great listener and provided a job quote right away. I have two more quotes to get but looks promising.

This review is not about the technician, because Im sure he would have been fantastic. He was professional and he seemed very knowledgeable. He would have been a 5 star review. My 2 star review is for deceptive business practices, and lack of follow up by management.I called to schedule an appointment and specifically asked how much it would cost for a technician to come and diagnose the issue. I asked a second time, and received the same answer, and confirmed that a quote would be given prior to any work being started. Great! Mr. Sparky quoted me $49.99.Fast forward a day and a half, the technician came out, listened to my issues, inspected an outlet and said that to go further in the diagnosis, it would be an additional $289.00. This may be common practice in the industry, but before I paid someone almost $350.00, I would have changed out every outlet and wall switch and a couple of breakers for less than that. If the company would have said, its 50 bucks to show up and then 280 bucks to diagnose the issue, I would have declined. The point is, they didnt say that .. I asked, twice, how much it would be for someone to come out and tell me what the issue is (diagnose) and was told, twice, $49.99.All that being said, mistakes happen and when I called them back about this they apologized and said a manager would call me back by the end of the afternoon. No one bothered to call back. So here we are.As I said, the technician was great, very understanding, and I got the feeling that maybe he had heard all of this before from other customers. As far as a resolution, I do not want my $50.00 back. I agreed to pay that, even though I was told Id get more for my money than I did. Id like Mr. Sparky to tell customers exactly what I said above: Itll be 50 bucks for someone to show up at your house, and then an additional 289 bucks for them to tell you whats wrong. At least then, customers can make an informed decision.

Although our wiring setup was super confusing based on remodeling/additions and prior homeowners, he said he “doesn’t give up” and he didn’t. I had an old ceiling fan removed and new one installed in our bedroom. Briar and Chris arrived right on time and got right to work. They removed the old fan, assembled the new one and had it up and working in no time. They cleaned up and took away the old fan and all their trash. This was a very professional company from the first phone call setting up the visit to the superior work the electrician completed. My flood lights that light up my parking lot and the back door to where I enter my apartment had been out for several years. Other electricians had told me that repairing them would be complicated and very costly because they are wired into the timer that the front porch and hallway lights are wired into. But, I didnt care if the flood lights were or not. Kyle diagnosed the problem in very little time and replaced the flood lights that come on at dusk and go off at dawn. He also did the same for the front porch (which had been kept on day and night). Now I have light in back of my my 4-unit building where I live!! I am so relieved and happy that I am not coming home to my door in pitch dark! I keep the hallway lights on 24/7 (costs pennies per month), and I do not need to deal with that timer again. Lastly, the price was extremely reasonable. I am a very satisfied customer!

Excellent and very professional! Installed two new dedicated circuits in our home panel and ran the additional wires with care to minimize the drywall removal that was needed.
The electrician was efficient, polite, and he made no mess at all. He fixed everything necessary, and gave me some advice on what else might be needed. Also checked one of the items that the home inspector wanted corrected and advised me that this item was in good shape.I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know.And the charges were well below what I expected. We have been trying to find a private contractor to assist us in repairing the outlet that our dryer goes in to for days with no call backs. I found Mr. Sparky on line and set up an appointment two days ago. They were able to get a technician here today. I received a call 30 minutes before they technician was due to arrive. Although he beat me to my house he waited for me to get there. He was professional, fast and explained the repair in detail that we needed. The price for this repair was very reasonable. We will definitely use them for any services we need in the future. I highly recommend them.
Jim did a fantastic job hanging my lights. The prices are a little high in my opinion at $159 a light. I had 3 lights installed and there was a $49 service charge fee (the service charge fee should be waived if you get an install). However, Jim was able to hook me up with a $41 discount.
Chris and a coworker worked through a miserable hot day replacing the mast and panel. Job well done and I couldnt be happier. I would recomend Mr. Sparky highly.

For many years now, I have always trusted these plumbers. Whether our need is basic or a complicated one, they’ve saved the day. They are honest and highly skilled. I’d give them extra stars too because they are that good!
DO NOT USE MISTER SPARKY. They tell you on the phone that there is a $49 fee for a service call and that, if any additional charges are required, the technician will tell you what they are at your home. In my case, they scheduled a 12-2 pm window on a Friday. They did not arrive until 3:30 pm. All that I needed was four light switches replaced. No GFI, nothing special. They informed me that Mister Sparky has a flat fee of $109 per service, so it would have cost me $436 to have four light switches changed. I told them to leave and I would do it myself. That service call just cost me $49. Switching out a light switch takes 10-15 minutes max for a non-professional. I just wanted to avoid the hassle of figuring out which breaker went with which light switch. Never, ever use these guys. They deserve to go out of business.
Paid $49.09 for estimate that I was supposed to receive in writing within 15 minutes after estimator left. It’s been over 14 hours and I’ve still not received it. Very expensive verbal quote. Beginning to think they are in business to make money on estimates alone???

I needed an electrician for a breaker than was tripping and several outlets that didnt work at all. I finally contacted Mister Sparky after trying to call a half dozen other electricians, who either a). didnt answer the phone or b). answered the phone and said they would call back to set an appointment time but never did. It seems that when you look for an electrician in a Google search or through the White Pages, most of those guys are looking for the big commercial jobs and dont even bother with residential unless its a big job like wiring for new construction.Anyway, when I called Mister Sparky, Jenny was very friendly and professional and set up an appointment time for first thing the next morning, and Jim Griggs arrived on time to do the job. He was professional and friendly, wore those plastic bag protectors on his boots to not dirty up the floors, and actually explained in simple terms what was going on. (I didnt know, for instance, that houses built in the late 60s used aluminum wire, not the copper that is used today, and that unscrupulous electricians use a dangerous shortcut called backstabbing, in which wires are pushed through small holes in the back of the outlet rather than being secured down with screws).There was quite a bit of work, since I bought a flipped house, and the electrician had mixed up the wiring on quite a few outlets. Jim fixed everything in about 2 hours, and the price was fair. So if you need residential electrical work done in northern Kentucky, (Mister Sparky I believe is actually located in the Eastgate area of Cincinnati, but the work was done in Florence, KY, so they cover pretty large area), then call Mister Sparky and ask for Jim.
So far they told me the time they would be her and they were on time
I had the problem of a crooked ceiling fan, and I know that isnt much, but if I tried to straighten it, I would have broke it. The person fixed it in less than 30 minutes.

Theyre system allows me to know who will be in my home before they ever get there and its very clear they put my security and safety as a high priority. Patrick was great! 2022-07-28Tyler is the best, most patient and detailed, repair person I have ever had the pleasure of paying a lot of money! I had no idea what we needed done to our house to bring it up to date/code. Tyler explained everything in detail to me so that I understood and he was upfront about the cost. We came up with a plan together, he communicated with me, and was on time. I will request Tyler anytime we needs electrical work done!

The electrician (Patrick) that came out was the most warm and professional person Ive ever had in my home! He made my home safe again and I will recommend this company to anyone who needs service!

I had great professional service and Briar left my home clean and made sure I saw the work that was done.I will definitely use this company again and appreciate finding an electrician I can count on. They were very professional and did excellent work over a short period of time. They didn’t push me to do anything or make any decisions. But gave me recommendations as I asked. 2022-06-02Chris and Vince came out to the house to give me an estimate on a more or less whole house rewire given the remaining knob and tube in the house. They were very informative, arrived on time, and genuinely nice people. Once I get the house ready for the work to be done, I will certainly be using them to perform the services. I cannot recommend them enough and once I can get them started on the project I will be sure to update this review!

2022-08-12The previous homeowners were big DIY, got in over their head. We bought their home and realized we couldnt set things up how we wanted because of their previous efforts. So we used Mr. Sparky services, Joe Gregory was early, polite, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He took on this task head-on and did a wonderful job. If any other bumps in the road pop up we will definitely be using Mr. Sparky again.
