MISSION BBQ in other cities:
First time here. Very impressive decor and service. Food was ready before I even filled up my drink. Multiple servers came around offering samples of food. A server came by every few minutes to see if we needed anything or if she could take anything. Definitely would recommend.
I was one of those people tonight, the ten minutes before close costumer. Didnt matter they were so nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and totally up upsaled me on my order and Im happy about it. 3 meats, 2 sides and Im completely satisfied with the service and the food. Baby back ribs were amazing! The pulled chicken and pork were what I didnt know I needed. Will be back, at a better time!
We used them to deliver and make pulled pork and chicken for a party. The people we dealt with were helpful and nice, however the food was delivered 30 minutes before we asked and we found numerous chicken bones in the meat. The pork was very good and the sauces supplied were OK. I only posted this so next time they prepare the chicken more carefully.
Rachel was very helpful taking my order and the gentleman who gave me my food was exceptionally kind. Sunglasses were fogging up with mask on. Food was fantastic and the portions were right, definitely better than old Carolina BBQ and the fact they do so much for the military as well as other communities as a whole is phenomenal. Been going here for about 2 years, very safe staff, helpful and clean facilities. 👍
I LOVE THIS PLACCCEE, their customer service is amazing! First the cashier was so nice and helpful with the menu, secondly the cook hooks me up with bbq sauces that he recommended, THIRDLY SO QUICK AND FRESH. The meat melts in your mouth and their mac and cheese FORGET ABOUT IT. I’m in heaven don’t go to any other place go here! 11$ got me a huge pulled pork sandwich(definitely smoked for a long time
Wow what an amazing restaurant. I love all the memorabilia from all of our great service men and women. The food is delicious. The baby back ribs are so tender and fall off the bone. The Mac and cheese is a must try. And the fries are tastey and have great seasoning. My favorite sauce on the table is the Smokey mountain sauce. The manager came to the table to ask how everything was and to make sure everything was prepared to our liking. Very nice guy and the staff was very friendly and helpful with suggesting things to try off the menu. Absolutely must try in the canton area.
Overall I think this might be a good restaurant, but as far as the food i got, it sucked. I had the moist brisket and the brisket was like eating paper towels. It was super dry and the chewing was like soft kid bike tire ( I hope it makes sense). The baked beans awesome, macaroni was great and the corn bread was good. I hope this helps.
The service is great, friendly and fast. The brisket is good, the ribs leave something to be desired. They don’t use a dry rub or sauce (atleast on mine) so they have some smoke flavor, but pretty bland. The sides here are wonderful. Feel free to take someone that doesn’t like BBQ with you. They’ll be fine eating just sides.
We visited this place for the first time yesterday and it was super fantastic!! We have a favorite BBQ down in Texas and we think this is a very close second to that one! We are so glad this BBQ place came to Belden!!! We appreciate their armed forces appreciation week!
Very good BBQ. We had half a chicken.. It was moist and juicy, with perfectly seasoned skin. The smoke flavor was not overwhelming. The French fries and corn bread were tasty also. With ice tea the meal was just under $15 including tax, for each meal. There six BBQ sauces on the table to choose from, if you wish. The restaurant crew was constantly cleaning to keep the restaurant covid free. We will return here.
The most friendly environment five months in America. They work hard on everything so detail with love 💝. This restaurant is too good like Chick-fil-A. Even better. Very soft meat, not offering hard meat like normal BBQ restaurants. Eat only here, when we’re in this area (even not in this area).
This place should take Arbys slogan because they really have THE MEATS!! We tried their ribs, steak, brisket, mac & cheese, french fries and salads and they are all incredible. The juiciest (or, at your own choice, moistest) meat youll ever taste. Ribs fell off the bone and the steak melts in your mouth. They have a sauce container on every table with 6 unique sauces which is neat. We came in, ordered, sat down and literally waited a minute when they had ALL this food ready for us. Incredible service - the gentleman who walks around the dining area, his name is Drew and he is a great guy, waited on all the tables making sure they were all doing ok, got us everything we needed and was as nice as could be. Id recommend this place to anybody and continue coming back as often as I can
Food was ok. I love what they stand behind and they are friendly , fast and the food was fresh. Meat was tender but I dont like the seasoning or any of the bbq sauces. The Mac and cheese was flavorless, cornbread dry and I wasnt overly impressed with anything there. I had the ribs and jalapeño cheddar sausage. I am a lover of cockeyes bbq on Parkman road and its just hard to impress me now haha. Not bad food just not my taste.
Pros: sauces are generally ok but would prefer one spicier.Brisket wasn’t dryMac and cheese decentBaked beans goodCons:Spare Ribs were a little dry, I will try the baby back ribs next timeColeslaw had no taste whatsoever, none. How? LolI’ve had worse & better and I’d be willing to try again!
General...Good marketing.Honest. (They said “Texas Inspired” about the brisket. I can respect that.)Good feel to the place.I liked the aluminum trays with butcher paper. They hit a lot of the notes right. Nice to see in a chain. You can buy meat by the pound.Price was commiserate with value received. The food...Decent brisket. Cooked perfect. Too light on the smoke.Same with the turkey.Classic sausage was meh.Beans were very good.Cheese potatoes were good too.Mac and cheese was decent.Slaw had nice texture but little flavor.Meat loaf... they let me sample it. It’s very, very good. Buy it. Enjoy. Thank me later.Overall...Decent, good enough to enjoy and recommend, not overly special, but they definitely do a service to BBQ, even Texas BBQ. They inspired none of the eye rolling I so often appropriately engage in when I eat in non-Texas BBQ joints that try to emulate the specialness that is Texas BBQ. I think when I saw “Texas Inspired” by the brisket, that honesty set the stage for a good experience. I’d definitely consider this an option.(For context, I’m very familiar with the Texas BBQ scene and cook some decent BBQ myself, so I judge through a much more exactly lens than the average customer. Keep that in mind when you read my review.)
First, I must say that the staff at this location was amazing. I told the cashier Id never been there and she politely introduced herself and explained the menu and setup, and when she had to get the phone, her trainee repeated my order back to make sure it was right. Another lady cheerfully correctly guessed I was looking for lids for my drink and pointed out the station. The staff encouraged each other and joked around. Price is a little high - I get 3 meats and 2 sides at the competition for what I got 2 meats and 2 sides here. The meat has a better fall-off-the-bone quality to it than the other folks, but it kind of tastes like they use a fake smoke flavoring. I covered it up nicely with that Kansas bbq sauce (that sauce is perfection). The Mac n Cheese is very good. The baked beans were too tangy for me to finish. Cornbread is cake-style. Neither I - nor apparently any other guest - felt like you could sit at the tables with what appeared to be memorial plaques on them, and one big table was covered in a tablecloth and cups, so I ended up too close to a couple trying eat for comfort. It was good, but maybe Id have preferred just a lunch sandwich and carry-out.
This place is AMAZING. Chicago native here that doesnt get to eat barbeque like this and I dont know if this is the real deal but my taste buds dont care! Got the chopped brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. Sandwich was phenomenal and worth the $8. Highly recommend!
Omgosh we had the most great experience this trip around although the staff treated with great customer service...tjis last experience was absolutely amazing...Drew waited on us like we was royalty made sure we was happy and left feeling respected as a customer...and on top of that...our food was sooo delicious and prepared with love like always....thanks you for always having great customer service
I have to say I was really impressed by this restaurant from the very moment we walked in.This was my first time to this restaurant by recommendation. My cousin was already at the restaurant when we made it.It was close to closing time so I thought we may need to hurry to get something say and leave(9:15) close at 10.We went to counter to order but we didnt know what to order. The young lady at the counter ask you see any thing you would like to try.So we said yes.I tried the brisket and my cousin tried the ribs. Both were beyond excellent. At this time the general manager came out and contacted us.To make this story short he was amazing and treated us as family. We were traveling from alabama and Tennessee. He made us aware of the locations close, gave his card and told us to have the manager at that location to call him if we visited one of those locations close to home. That alone will make me a customer for life.To the other restaurants, please dont mess it up.Now back to barbq. The brisket was moist and tender with a touch of smoke not messing up the beef flavor. The ribs were top 10.Ive had ribs all across the south and Memphis and these are real deal.I will say you cant go wrong with any of the sides but the mac and cheese gets 6 stars. So to the staff thank you.Even after they closed they brought refills bags and containers for what we didnt complete. They all were HAppy to do so.This is the longest review Ive ever done but it was truly worth it.Thanks again
We are completely humbled and thankful to Kyle Holmgren and his team at Mission BBQ. They went above and beyond on this Veteran Day. Even though they were about to close, they made us their VIP guests and truly gave my husband who is a veteran one of the BEST experiences, food, and services ever!Thank you soooooo much!!! It truly made our year!!
Mission BBQ catered my daughters wedding reception. From the planning to the clean up they were amazing! They set up early and made sure everything was perfect. We ran out of water and lemonade. The leader of the crew left and went to the store to get us more. I didnt have to worry about anything. I highly recommend using them for events. Their catering crew are fantastic!
We had Mission cater our 100 person wedding and they went above and beyond. The food was incredible.. We got the brisket, chicken, and pulled pork with mac and cheese, potato salad, and beans as sides. The mac and cheese was the crowd favorite. Jen was so helpful coordinating everything, the setup and tear-down went smooth and we didn’t have to be involved. They even help stock our cookie dessert table (which they did not bring). I especially like how Jen worked with us to include a smaller coffee station at a discounted price when the coffee station pushed us over our budget. Would highly recommend!
A wonderful place with great food. Great place for Vets and service members, firefighters and police officers to go. They have tons of giveaways and for being a chain bbq joint their prices are super competitive. Highly recommend the brisket! They also have a huge selection of bbq sauce to choose from and the staff is always pleasant!
Great food. Awesome atmosphere. Friendly staff! I recommend the salmon with the Alabama White Sauce. TIP: You must know to ask for the sauce as they keep it behind the counter! Wink, nodUpdate: Still great but I wish they would bring back the sliced lemons by the lemonade and tea... They removed it during covid but I think now is a great time to bring that back because I miss the fresh cut lemons!
The food is very good. Employees are friendly.Nice to see the walls decorated with Military Law Enforcement and Fire Fighter pictures and patches.Brings lots of memories.Wish they would bring beer back. However its understandable with the cost of the permits and low customer traffic these days.Give it a try if you have it yet.
The food was so amazing. Everything tasted delicious! The staff were so friendly and helpful and when they found out it was our first ever visit they explained how everything works in the restaurant. Highly recommend and will be visiting when were in the Canton area again!
Great food! Super friendly staff even though its a busy place. Sarah, the manager, came out and talked to us. Told us it was sad that we didnt have their mac n cheese, and then brought us some! Glad she did because it was amazing! They make everything fresh every day and whatever is left at the end of the day is boxed up and taken to local police and firefighters. We will definitely be back!
I have eaten Mission BBQ, that has been catered at my job, and it was always awesome. Decided to take the family to the Canton, OH restaurant today. This place is top notch! Quick and very friendly service. The food was awesome. Most of us got brisket and mac n cheese. The gentleman that hands out your order was very friendly and when he found out I was a veteran, he brought a complimentary banana pudding to my table. Mission BBQ is a great American company and if you are a veteran, I would recommend taking your family here as they go out of their way to treat veterans very well. If you are in the Canton, OH area and looking for a good place to eat that treats people right, then this is the place to go. I will definitely be back.
SO GOOD. I love that they do the pledge everyday at noon. The aesthetic of the restaurant is comfortable, interesting, and homey. Ive yet to try something I didnt love here (except I get my fries unseasoned because its a bit much for my liking). My only complaint is WHERE this restaurant is because I almost miss it everytime from the direction I come from. Always had very friendly staff as well.
Oh my gosh... Sooooo good! I got the 2 meat combo w/ pulled chicken and the chopped brisket along with ff and banana pudding. Absolutely delicious!!! The employees were beyond just nice. I wish everyone had this work ethic! I loved the PRO LAW ENFORCEMENT, MILITARY AND FIRE atmosphere and the recognition this company gives these heroes! Definitely impressed!!!
Food is good and prices are reasonable. Food is made fast within 5 minutes your order is ready. Mac n cheese is really good. Have 6 different types of BBQ sauce. Representing different cities in the country. For ex: KC style Louisiana style TX style. The establishment truly supports the military which I greatly appreciate being a veteran myself. Staff is very friendly and randomly check to make sure you enjoyed your meal and the experience. Also one of the only BBQ places in the area.
I cant say enough about Mission BBQ. Their mission to honor our military and first responders is above the call of duty, so to speak. To stop everything in their tracks every day at noon to honor our nation with the playing of the national anthem gives me chills, just thinking about it. The food is always delicious and the staff is incredible. Even other patrons are amazing. My brother and I took our dad for Fathers Day this year. He had never been there. Hes 91 years old and a veteran of the Korean War. The staff and other patrons treated him like royalty. It made his day and he truly enjoyed his visit. Thank you!!!!!
Our caterer backed out Monday the 27th of September for an October 2nd event leaving us greatly concerned and somewhat paralyzed. My wife and I stopped in at Mission BBQ in Belden Village to try their food and it was fantastic. We spoke with many on staff that day (Tuesday September 28th ) and asked whether they could fit us in on such short notice. Well long story short they literally catered to us by accepting and absolutely crushed it! Delivery was on time and the food was phenomenal. The menu consisted of Spare Ribs and Pulled Pork along with a 6pk of assorted sauces. I cannot say enough about their food or their willingness to accommodate. It seems these days, customer service is an afterthought. The staff at Mission BBQ realize the importance of working with the public and building relationships through actions. Great job and we will always consider Mission BBQ for future events and a casual night out.
One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time! Put an order in online. Ready in 10 minutes. Organized and easy to pickup. Never been there before and I mentioned that when I was getting sauces because I didn’t know which ones to get. The man gave me two of each! Then he gave me a run down of the menu, specials, and the name of the ovens!! Even pointed one out closer to my house! When I finally got to the food it was incredible! Forgot to take a picture of it all because I was eating so fast!
We just had the most wonderful service at your North Canton location!! I’m so sorry I didn’t get his name, but to the young man who seemed to be the shift leader 4/22 around 7:30pm— 5 stars!!!! If he hadn’t been so busy (and didn’t already seem to love his job), I would’ve tried to steal him to come work for my company. Great job!!! This man truly deserves a raise. Great food as always.
Went for the first time and was greatly surprised at the quality and great taste of the food! We have been to five or six bbq places around the area and have been disappointed in their offerings. Not here....Missions brisket is top notch Texas style meat. The brisket is thick cut, tender, and smoked for 17 hrs. Excellent...excellent brisket and plenty of it with my order. They offer the brisket in two ways....lean or moist ...and both are excellent! My wife loves collard greens so they have to be done well...and she loves them here. The manager Jerry is hands on with customers and super friendly. Vets, police, and first responders are are treated well here by Jerry which I applaud. All in all; for the first visit; I was very impressed with the food, prices, and friendly atmosphere...which is needed here at this time. Good Jon guys and will certainly be back!
Just ordered over the phone with a shift leader David was his name I believe. It was the best phone order experience I have EVER had. He walked me through ordering certain amounts based on people. I was not rushed, his tone in his voice was pleasant. The food is beyond amazing!!! Definitely 5 stars in my book.Christina
Absolutley LOVE Mission BBQ! One of my favorite places to get food. The brisket is delicious, and all the sauces they have taste amazing. I wish I had the money to eat here more often, because Id choose this over most other places! A cool bonus is that their catering vehicle is a deuce and a half, which is awesome!
Mission BBQ catered my wedding this weekend and we got nothing but wonderful compliments from our guests about the food. I have a lot of food allergies and they took care of them with ease and grace. The staff was wonderful and did a wonderful job. I will recommend them to anyone for any special day or just some lunch! Incredible customer service and amazing food!
I always eat at a Mission BBQ when there is one available in the area Im in. We choose brisket, greens, and potato salad to eat in. With a pound of pulled pork to take home. The banana pudding tasted like it was made to order. Mission BBQ gives back to Veterans. There is a MIA table.
I love this place! Great staff and service. Very clean. My wife is partial to the pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. I like the Half a Yard bird chicken. Collard greens and Mac and cheese are amazing. Smoky Mountain, KC Classic, and Memphis Belle are our go to BBQ sauces. They use to have the banana pudding but I think that may be a seasonal dessert but they have a peach cobbler now and that is just as good. Its on par what my grandmother used to make for me growing up.
Ill qualify my statement by saying that I am REALLY critical about BBQ, mainly because I am an avid backyard smoker myself. Overall, the food is solid. I would have personally liked to have a little more of the smoke shine through in the meat, but the meats themselves are top quality, the sauces are fun, and the vibe is cool. Plus, I love what they do for the military and first responders. I went 4 stars, but its probably closer to 4.5.
The food was excellent! And the service was perfect everybody I came into contact with had a very pleasant and professional demeanor, Dave was also extremely professional, I’m came in with my 2 kids and looked at the menu prior online to coming in,with a array of choices that’s my suggestion. I will definitely be back with the rest of my family
This place is awesome! Food is very good! I had the brisket sandwich with sides of baked cheesy potatoes and Maggies mac and cheese! The brisket was awesome and moist and those sides are to die for. I was greeted with smiles and welcomes from every employee who made eye contact. The lady who took my order took the time to explain how it worked. The kitchen manager took the time to explain how all the food was cooked and was very informative. The dining room manager topped off the whole experience. He took the time to go to every table and converse with the patrons. He came to my table and new all the ingredients in all the sauces and even brought complimentary chili out to us. I am blown away. Hopefully this staff trains the staff at the location of Fort Wayne because that is closer to me. I will be back every time I get to Canton!
Great food, amazing service. The staff are always making sure you are happy with your order. They take the time to recognize our military, police and firefighters for their service and sacrifices. The black plate specials change monthly and worth trying each month. You wont be sad with the portions.
My son and I visited Mission BBQ for the first time yesterday. It was well worth the 40 mile drive. The people and service by everyone was friendly and way above expectation. The food is soooo good! I was raised in the south and know my bbq. The meat has just the right amount of smoke flavor and when you add your choice of sauce to it......wow. It melts in your mouth. The sides dishes are also excellent. We are already planning our next trip back to get more. Thumbs up 👍 to the Canton crew for making our first experience an enjoyable one.
We catered mission bbq for our wedding through the Canton, OH store and it was FANTASTIC. The staff was excellent, the food was raved about, & there was so much that we took home leftovers & passed them out to family members! There was excellent communication between their catering manager & myself. You CAN NOT beat the price for the quality of food you are getting! I would highly recommend catering through Mission BBQ in Canton, OH.
Patriotism: The restaurant has a dedicated chair for the spirits of the Prisoners of War and Missing In Action, patriotic pictures ranging from photos of 9/11/2001, the raising of the stars and stripes at Iwo Jima, to various uniform patches worn by the red and blues (firefighters and police). My favorite feature of the restaurant, is how they have Old Glory hanging overhead in the middle of the ceiling and honor her daily at noon, by playing The Star Spangled Banner, - I came here for the opportunity to sing the national anthem outside of sports, and to see how many were patriotic and brave enough to sing in a restaurant and face the stars and stripes in a restaurant, and I was swelling with patriotic pride as I witnessed everyone - staff and customers, taking part in honoring her! :-DFriendly staff: The person who serves your food at the dine in counter tell you their name, explain how the restaurant works if its your first visit like mine was, and they come to where youre seated to offer take-out boxes (compared to most restaurants where you have to flag your server down to ask), and they thank service members for their duty, whether its civil or military. While the food ranges from too dry and salty for some dishes (I had a pulled pork sandwich that tasted too dry and chewy without the table sauce I chose, Memphis Belle, and the seasonal potato salad to me at least, is overly seasoned with cracked pepper).I will definitely be returning to this restaurant to have a chance to sing The Star-Spangled Banner outside more often, the Grape Nehi, and for the friendly, patriotic atmosphere, again in the future.
Mission BBQ is like home for us. We always feel welcomed and are always treated to amazing food! We love going on mission trips. Shredded chicken, mac and cheese, corn bread and sweet tea is my standard go to meal. This time, we were also treated to blueberry cobbler.
Was very excited to find this place! They support our military and front line workers such as police and fire departments. Bbq is very good. My favorite is the Carolina style sandwich combo with the roasted corn. For the closest experience of the real thing (East Coast N.C.style) dont put bbq sauce on it, but add the vinegar base located on the tables. Cheescake is good for desert.
Extremely good food and even better service. There was a little mishap with my order and Steve went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. As a business owner this speaks volumes to me and management should recognize Steve for doing his duties and more. Finding good employees like that is extremely hard in todays market. Keep up the good work!
I would highly recommend this place. Food is great. Very tasty. I would order it to brisket again and again sweet smokes. I would recommend the brisket lean not moist. All the food is great. The chili is amazing the macaroni and cheese at some point. Recommend three meats platter with two sides. The service was exceptional. Everything is made fresh and right in front of your eyes.
Went to Mission BBQ in Canton to get a free sandwich for my birthday and it was a great experience! I havent been there in like 5 years but was greeted with kind service and incredible food by Dave, a manger there who displayed great customer service and vast knowledge of the food served, give the man a raise! I will definitely be back in the near future!
Went there for the first time today for a quick lunch. I was amazed when we walked in the door. The decor they had was absolutely breathtaking. For my husband and myself both being military veterans, we love what they stand for. The staff was very friendly, the GM even brought our food tonus, since we had our two youngest with us. He gave us coupons for free sandwiches for our next visit as well as free desert for being veterans and it being our first visit. The food was great. I loved the salmon I had and my husband loved his BBQ sandwich. The fresh cut fries were delicious and the sweet tea was as good as mine.We will definitely be coming back for more.
I loved every single thing about this place! We ordered the prime rib and chicken and both were delicious! We were given a free sample of their bread pudding and I am so confused because I dont even like bread pudding...but, I loved theirs😁 The staff were all EXTREMELY friendly, every single one of them!! Its about a 2 hour drive from our house, but we will definitely make a special trip to eat there again!
First time visitor, the smell outside was amazing, however, the service and good was the best part! From the smiling welcomes were pleasant, the young lady to take out order came around to explain the menu to us. We were assisted by others as our food was ready and getting seated at the table with a little one. Will definitely return and highly recommend!
I was there twice in one week, for Navy Day, Wed. 5/13 and Armed Forces Day, Sat. 5/16. Not having a job right now, I went there for the free sandwich each day just to have something to eat. I called each day to verify the deal offered, and Sat. I called just less than 3 hrs. before they opened and the employee I spoke to waspolite, professional and informative. The food has been excellent each of the three times we were there, the staff professional, helpful and polite. Any other place would have not picked up the phone or chewed my head off. With my need for work and the fact that Mission BBQ honors Anericas vets and first responders, I wouldnt mind working here. They obviously have a workplace culture that works and that is good for business...one that I also aspire to. Good job in resetting the necessary standard for all business, regardless of industry. You consistently make my wife and I proud and fill our bellies with the best of food. On another note, they take a veteran at his or her word and didnt require an ID card or DD 214 to verify veteran status. Keep up the excellent work you do everyday. You are the standard!!! Thank you.1.5 stars. Having arrived today 6/11/2020 just after 7pm, Mission BBQ was out of top AND bottom buns and still charged me the stiff price of $13.25 for very little food at all. I received an email advertisement today advertising free flag lapel pins to veterans for flag day on 6/14, but they were out of them too. Portions do not equal price.
Absolutely wonderful meal! We loved everything! Between the three of us we tried the brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, smoked turkey, and both sausages. All of it was perfectly cooked. The wait staff was so attentive, and the manager was really helpful when I had a question. The meal sides were all fantastic as well! This is a definite must go-to in Canton!
This place is amazing!!! The service out of this world. The staff so friendly! Everyone, wanted to be sure your food tasted good. Checking to see if this was our first time. Brought us some complimentary blueberry cobbler which was also AMAZING! They have photos of service men and women from their community. They said next time we came in for my husband to bring one of his Navy pictures or a patch and they would get it up on the wall! The sides are great. I ordered 2... I dont know what I was thinking. The fries are huge. Cheesey potatoes fantastic! I could go on forever! If you havent already been there GO... You love it and youll go back! Thanks for a great meal and great service!!!!
My family and I got Mission BBQ carryout for my sons birthday on Monday. Besides my husband, we have never had it before but my son loves BBQ and this is what he wanted. The whole experience was great! The young lady taking my order was patient and knowledgeable with me. When she asked me what sauces I would like with our order, I told her I was unsure and she said shed put a couple of their most popular ones in for me. Well she gave us like 1 of each sauce they had it seemed, and we so enjoyed trying each one! The food was delicious and the employees were super sweet when I was picking up the food too. Everyone was practicing safe Covid-19 practices and the only thing that was off was off was not being able to experience it there in the restaurant. We really enjoyed it all at home though and I highly recommend them.
This place was excellent. The employees were extremely friendly and the food was amazing. One lady helped me carry my food to the table, because I was carrying my young child. I had the salmon, fries, baked beans and collard greens (which are a seasonal side) everything was flavorful, especially the salmon and fries. I couldnt help but go mmm, this is so good, oh my! Throughout the whole meal. I definitely recommend this place and I most definitely will be back to eat there again soon.
My husband and I went to Mission BBQ, Canton, OH, for the first time today. What a wonderful experience!! Walking in, youre surrounded by every type of military and service memorabilia you can imagine! My husband was in the Army and really appreciated seeing all of that! The staff were so kind in helping us with our food choices; theres a lot to choose from! The food is absolutely delicious! On the tables they have six different sauces you can choose to put on your meat choices. And the mac and cheese, green beans with bacon and cornbread are total comfort foods! And thats just to name a few! The staff are very caring in helping you with anything you might need. Were so glad my brother and his wife told us about Mission BBQ! And thank you so much for honoring all our Service men and women. Well definitely be back!
We really enjoy eating here. The food is delicious and quick. I need Gluten free because of an allergy. This place truly offer gf fries. Nothing else is fried in the oil. This is something not all restaurants understand. The staff there is extremely friendly. The atmosphere there is so patriotic. I enjoy looking at all the framed pictures on the walls of past and present service men and women.
All the cashiers and wait staff were incredibly helpful and friendly while explaining the menu, and made sure to check in on us as we ate. To use a cliche, it was like hanging out with friends. The prices are pretty decent for the amount of food you get- but a real steal for the quality you get! And this is coming from someone who formerly though bbq was just okay. And the sauces!!! They all have such distinct and delicious flavors that I had to split my sandwich up to have them all.
Best BBQ in Canton. My favorite is the pulled pork & moist brisket. The staff is what makes this place great! When I’m having a rough day, I stop by for lunch and am reminded of all the great first responder heros and military hero’s on their walls of service. It’s a beautiful place!
My husband and I were in the area looking for a place to eat for dinner. This place caught our attention because we do not have them at home. The food is amazing!!!! I had the baby back ribs and my husband had the smoked ribeye steak. They were cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional. On top of all that they give back to their community. What a wonderful place!! I highly recommend this place.
Wow, totally impressed with the decor, food, employees and the patriotism. More about the patriotism, at noon an announcement comes over the loudspeaker for everyone to stand as they play the national anthem. Very moving to see everybody stop what they were doing from the customers, wait staff and the kitchen crew to pay tribute to our wonderful country. Wait staff comes around to see if everyone is doing well while dining. Great place.
THE FOOD AT THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE AND THE RIBS WERE NOT ACTUALLY BARBECUED THEY WERE BAKED AND BOILED AND SERVED TO US COLD!!!! THEY ARE HIGHLY OVERPRICED AND THE SIDES WERE NOT FIT FOR A DOG TO EAT,...THIS FOOD MADE ME SO SICK TO THE POINT WHERE I FELT LIKE I NEEDED TO GO TO THE ER AND HAVE MY STOMACH PUMPED!I WISH I COULD RATE THIS PLACE A -ZERO WE PAID $35.00 AND WE COULD NOT ENJOY THE FOOD!....NEVER AGAIN WOULD WE EVER EAT AT THIS PLACE NOR WILL WE RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!
We tried Mission BBQ today right before noon. The parking lot was full and we had a few people in front of us in line. However, we had nearly no wait time. We were able to order quickly and the food came out fast. They have nice seating with tables and booths. There are some tables outside as well. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Very clean with nice restrooms to boot! We definitely found a new place to eat today and will be back. I highly recommend stopping by and checking them out! The best part was standing at noon and singing the national anthem with everyone in the building.
10 stars would be best for this great place!! BBQ is delicious!! Best in town hands down!! But what takes this place from a max of 5 stars to 10 is the people. You are welcomed when you come in the door, the counter staff is friendly and helpful, the kitchen staff is nice and will say hello and it all comes from some of the best managers in any restaurant anywhere. The culture is very customer oriented. World class place that will keep me coming back for years.
Good food, love the sauce options. I ordered the pulled chicken sandwich, minus the bun with fries. The chicken was super tender, nice smoky flavor and even better for dipping all the various sauces. I love that you can jump from St Louis style to West Virginia style one bite to the next. This place also smells FANTASTIC from the outside.
Easily our best dining-out experience in over a year. Quick service, and we felt pampered in a way that usually only happens in fine dining establishments. Everyone was genuinely kind, sincere and helpful, especially Jerry and Steve. Not to mention the brisket, which was TO DIE FOR!!! Exceptional value, left feeling full and happy :-)
WOW. AWESOME BBQ. This is my first time here because I am here for work traveling from Utah. I came here based on really good Google reviews. I love everything about this place! The food is delicious and the staff is amazing. Plus, this place is extremely patriotic! They have so many photos of military vets, police, firefighters, and other servicemen memorabilia. That made this place SO much better in my mind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
One of the greatest BBQ places I have been. The food is fairly priced but delicious. I love their variety of sauces. The desserts are their hidden weapon. And their decor is definitely one of a kind. One of my patches is up on the wall there. My only gripe is there is no veterans discount but they make up for it with their club.
The employees were very friendly and helpful. Did a great job explaining the menu items. Suggested sauces and described them well. Food portions were a good size. Dining room was clean and the girl wiped our table even though it look like it was clean but she said it was not.I ordered pulled pork sandwich with baked beans and fries. Im pretty sure none of those things were served at a safe temperature they were Luke warm at best. Pork was good but I wish the BBQ sauces were served warm. When I put the sauce on a Luke warm sandwich it was then cold. The fries where so salty we couldnt eat them. The beans would have been awesome if they were hot. I will probably go back to try one more time before deciding. We where there ar around four oclock and it wasnt too crowed.
We used Mission BBQ catering for a rehearsal dinner. They were very helpful and quick to respond to emails and questions. They delivered to the location and set up for us. The food was hot and ready when guests arrived. Everyone liked it and we had more than enough food. Excellent staff, service and food. Well done Mission BBQ!
This is my go to spot for the best BBQ around. I meant to give a review the last time I stopped in but I forgot. You can’t go wrong with this place the food is fast, delicious and the service is always wonderful. The employees are always happy and do a great job of taking care of you.
Absolutely amazing! First time today and I was very pleased. Wanted to visit because first off, my husband is a vet. And Ive heard good reviews. From the moment you walk in, you get the deep BBQ smell that makes your mouth water! The employees are wonderful, smiling happy faces, and very curtious. My husband had pulled pork with beans and fries. All of it, delish. My kids had the Mac and cheese (yum) and ribs and green beans. Again all amazingly good. I had a brisket and cheesy potatoes. Again, yum. All the food is great! All the sauces on the tables, are all delicious as well. And its nice seeing all the service members photos posted everywhere and all the patches. My husband served at the Big Red 1 for his service, becides a tour to Iraq, and a tour to Afghanistan. And we were pleased to see a Big Red 1 patch also. Will definitely be returning!
I would like to thank the staff. We were greeeted with hello and smiles from everyone. This was our first time and the lady at the register explained the menu and how it works. The food was fantastic. The bark on the ribs was exat the way we like it. The rub had a fantastic flavor. It is a definite go back 👍👍
One of the best casual quick restaurants Ive been to in awhileGreat service, great atmosphere , and most importantly ,exceptional food , along with portions , at an even better prices.Fresh cut fries, tasty bake beans , baked macaroni and cheese, love the crunchy topping on it, and good to honest smoked meats.I got the XXXL $18.99 deal .Love the little six pack of sauces on each table. I was very surprised at the amount of food I received for the price. You got me as a long term recurring customer.

2022-02-13Were first timers! Decided to check this place out and definitely wasnt disappointed. We had the brisket sandwich with fries and baked beans. And the lean turkey with macaroni & cheese and green beans. The brisket and turkey both was really good and moist. Alot of meat!! All the sides were on point but the Mac and cheese was definitely a head turner in my book with the crusty cheesy top like homemade. I also like the idea of the sauces on the tables so you can try them all. Staff was really nice and helpful, told them we were newbies and she was able to explain menu so we knew what was what. Lady cleaning tables was full of smiles and friendly talk, and even brought us a piece of blueberry cobbler which my BF went cuckoo for because it was so good! Love the idea of it being built around first responders and service men and women. Inside is alot of pictures, badges, uniforms, flags, etc...and it just makes you proud to be a part of it because we owe them everything for their service. Love this place, kudos! 🇺🇲🇺🇲

2022-07-11Some of the best BBQ in the area. Pulled pork was very juicy and had visible pink smoke rings. The ribs were good and fall off the bone, but they seemed more oven prepared, and lacked the smokey flavor I was truly looking for. The ribs also seemed to have a Chilli powder dusting, which is not my personal favorite, but others might like. Multiple sauces to try, so its easy to find whatever you are craving, sauce wise. Collard Greens had a nice kick (5 star) and the pudding was smooth and tasty. Great service and a great cause (supporting military). I will for sure be back!

2022-05-03We had been to 2 weddings who used Mission BBQ for their catering and were impressed with the quality of food. After comparing a few catering companies, we knew Mission BBQ was the perfect option for our wedding. The catering team went above and beyond our expectations! The variety of food we were able to offer our guests was unmatched. The team catered to the formality of our event too. The biggest surprise was the beautiful display they provided for the buffet lines! The brought signs for each item and even decorated the table with lanterns and décor that tied into our venue and décor seamlessly! No guest will go hungry, and they also pay special attention to dietary and allergy concerns for all. The portions and price are unbeatable! We look forward to visiting for our anniversary to savor our wedding meal for years to come.

2022-06-26Friendliest location we’ve been to yet. We were greeted by several staff as we walked through the door. Food was good, but this is normal. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a bad mission bbq, they know their stuff. We ordered pulled chicken and pork; both have a great hickory style smoked flavor. The pork is also slightly sweet. The fresh cut fries, bacon laden green beans, and pulled pork accented baked beans were all excellent. The Mac n cheese is creamy and super cheesy. Six different style bbq sauces to try from on the table. We personally like to mix Memphis Belle and the Tupelo Honey. The only downside, and with the current cost of food not technically a bad thing, is that it’s just a tad smidge on the pricey side. Totally worth it though.

2022-01-18I appreciate Mission BBQ and their support of First Responders. They serve good food with awesome employees. When they find out you are a First Responder, you are treated like a king. I dont expect any special treatment being a public servant but when it happens, it is appreciated.

2021-11-03The service was superb. The food was very tasty, and portion was generous. Price was so reasonable. If you visit Cincinnati, this is a must go place. The employees were very friendly. The wait time for our order was very short.

2022-07-15So I was checking out this restaurant for the first time everyone was very pleasant from the moment I walked in from being greeted by some of the workers!!! A few of the servers were very friendly and asking how was my meal at first I said good. But the ribs were very salty and I could hardly enjoy them so then I politely asked the waitress McKinley I think it was if she could take them back. She was wonderful and asked if I wanted to try another kind of meat so I chose the brisket that she suggested and it was delicious!!! So I appreciate her trying to make it right. The corn bread was good and the banana pudding was delicious!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!

2022-03-06We all loved the brisket,it was moist and tender.ribs were so tasty and meaty with a great smoked flavor.the pulled pork had a real smoked barbecue taste ,that the Cole slaw enhanced.the fries, there were so many
