This place was so good!! Food was amazing and the staff was super friendly. My hubby and I live almost 2 hours away and this was our 1st visit and it definitely will not be our last!! I had the Italian Sampler, Alfredo sauce was so good, lasagna delicious, and those meatballs were the best I have ever tasted. The sausage was super good also, was not sure about it at first lol.
We went yesterday to Milanos for the first time and I love it. I loved the atmosphere of the place, it seems like a real old school Italian restaurant with the wood walls and the white table cloth and booth seats. The waitress was wonderful and the food came out quickly ( we did go in at 11 am on a Monday so this may not be typically for a weekend). I ordered the Linguine alle vongole and it was delicious. We will definitely be going back again soon.
My husband and I showed up at 7:15 on Thursday night to be stopped outside before we even got to the sidewalk by the manager who told us they were closing early at 7:30. Sorry folks but I have to send my staff home as we are not busy. We could see from the outside at least 4 full tables inside and he was letting a to go order in when we were denied service. When I say full tables...one had at least six people sitting around the table. The manager did not offer to allow us to do an order to go. Our order could have been put in as tables inside were waiting on food as they had only ordered is what he said. Very poor customer service as saw several waiters walking around inside. We went to Scalis Restaurant at the corner of Reynoldsburg New Albany and Livingston and enjoyed a much better meal. We have worked in restaurants so this was unbelievable.
When you walk in you get an old school Tony Soprano vibe. You get your food and whether you dine in,or carry out, you anticipate the delectable cuisine you are about to partake in.You dig into the first bite and your tastebuds fool you at first. Then you realize this food is average at best. Maybe a step above Fazolis. Dont waste your time with this place. I wont be back.
Delicious home cooked Italian food! The atmosphere is amazing, just like stepping into the Cheers bar! Often times Felix will seat you himself. A very special place where the owner seats his guests and takes the time to greet them and inquire about their day! Bob is a wonderful waiter we have had the pleasure of having quite a few times. Large servings so be sure to come hungry but remember to savor each bite!
My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time about a month ago, 8-2020. They were very friendly and everything was clean. They brought us out breadsticks and rolls that were absolutely delicious and fresh from the oven. Our entree’s were fantastic as well. My wife said that it was the best lasagna she has ever had. We were so impressed we made the hour drive on a date night to see if the first time was just a fluke LOL. It was not! We love this restaurant it is now our favorite by leaps and bounds. The price is very reasonable and we always get much more than our money’s worth.
We have shared dinner with family and friends several times over the last few years and Milanos never disappoints. Extensive menu options, friendly staff and excellent quality food. Deep fried bread sticks are an absolute must, always a crowd favorite. Highly recommend and look forward to our next visit as always!
Went for lunch with my wife and was not impressed. Service was decently fast but gruff. Sadly, the best food item was the side salad, which was fresh and had tasty Italian dressing. The Alfredo sauce and noodles were practically flavorless. The meatball was bland. The bread sticks were dreadful; they were soaked in oil like they were pan or deep fried. Cooking oil was the only discernible flavor, no salt, garlic, or other herbs and spices.
The only reason I rated Milano’s as 2 Star was because the food was eh...OK Our server was cold and displayed no personality. Smile, a kind word? Nope. She asked if I wanted a coffee refill and I said yes but had to ask her two more times before I got one. We did not feel relaxed or welcome at all. Not even a little impressed. Will not be going back.
This was the worst Italian we had ever had. The Bucatini alla carbonara was small and utterly tasteless, noodles over done.We asked for more sauce - she never brought it. I asked for my soup and salad to be brought with my companion’s dinner, NOT before - she brought it before anyway. The wedding soup meat tasted funny, hope I’m not sick later. Our waitress was slurring her speech, and got confused with our conversation, so we didn’t feel comfortable even talking to her. We left without eating My glass of wine was good, but that is the only good thing I can say about the place. We will not be back - too many good places to eat.
I absolutely loved this place! Me and my buddy were in town for a business trip and we found this tiny hidden spot and were so glad we did! The food was legitimate authentic Italian Food, not Americanized at all these are the type of “hole in the wall” type restaurants that you want to experience and me my friend were extremely pleased with the great tasting authentic food and even better warm and enviting service.
Everything from the moment you enter feels like you stepped into a small cafe in Italy. The owner Mr. Milano even greets you as well, our server Tim was spot on from recommendations to attentiveness. The food is absolutely delicious, I suggest the house dressing, which was recommended by Tim. My husband had the lasagna and its quite the big serving at that. I had the Wednesday special which was Shrimp Parmigiana, and it was scrumptious. The bread with olive oil I personally could eat any time of the day, all in all you cannot go wrong eating at Milanos. It is not overly expensive, very filling appetizers, dinner and desserts. We will definitely be back! Thank You for a wonderful evening and meal.
I wasn’t impressed with the food or customer service of the woman who answered the phone. I ordered eggplant parmigiana, fried zucchini, and a kid’s spaghetti meal. Again, even though the customer service capabilities of the waitress/ phone answerer left much to be desired, I still wanted to try this place out. After picking up my food, and heading home, I noticed that the bone dry salad was missing the Italian dressing I requested and the ranch for the zucchini was also missing. Additionally, I was not given any silverware or napkins ( pretty basic staples for to-go orders, especially if the customer is spending $40 on two meals and an appetizer). I called the restaurant, just to let them know, so that the same mistake wouldn’t happen to the next customer. The waitress, with misplaced anger issues, very rudely informed me that she placed the ranch in the bread bag ( because that’s a normal thing to do) and that the Italian dressing was in the salad box ( it wasn’t). I know missing condiments don’t seem like much, but it was the unforgivable nasty attitude that did it for me. I just hung up the phone.Eating the food, I discovered how bland it was. The spaghetti was over cooked. Sauce, had no flavor...Neither me or my child were impressed, and ultimately, threw most of the food away ( it was that unappetizing and unsalvageable). The only reason why I’m giving this place two stars instead of one is because a nice gentleman held the door open for me and my child as we were leaving the establishment. That was the only pleasurable experience. Not enough, however, to ever want to eat there again.
Driving from Lima to Pittsburgh and decided to stop on way and get what a nice italian man should have, a good italian meal. Web site said they close at 9. I get there at 8:03 and the guy who seats sats we are closed! I mention the web site and his excuse (at 8:03!!) Is that the new owner is going to change that.Ill never give this place a chance again!
Milanos is a very special place to my family. My grandparents have known the owners for over 30 years and come every Tuesday for dinner. The food is amazing and the service is awesome, they always treat us like family. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants good service and great food!
I could not say enough great things about this restaurant and the owner. My friend had a loss in the family and I wanted to do all I could to support her from Chicago. Although they do not offer delivery, the owner offered to hand deliver the food to their house due to the circumstances. They truly care about the community and their customers. I was told that the lasagna was delicious! Thanks you so much Milanos!
What can I say- it was just...... OK. We arrived and there were only 2 tables in the restaurant, which I thought was pretty odd for a Saturday night. We were seated, and then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally our server gets our drink orders, and gives us bread. There were 2 kinds. The 1st kind are deep fried. They taste like elephant ears without the powdered sugar. The 2nd kind is basic cold dinner rolls. The ice tea we ordered was really dark, just how we like it. We ordered. Our food came out at a reasonable time. The chicken parmigiana was above average. The Italian sampler included average lasagna, and above average alfredo, meatballs and sausage. Our bill came. $50 for 2 entrees and 3 drinks (1 entree was split) a bit pricey for just ok food and service. I think Id rather stick with OG.
An absolute delight!!! Went here with my dad, his wife, and my wife after his appointment at the James. The entire staff made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped foot into the establishment. The food... Let me just say, the food was magnificent!!! Also, the owner took time out of his busy day and joined us at our table to talk and ask how our meal was. You just dont get that kind of service from places anymore. We live in Zanesville and plan to go back on a very frequent basis for sure!!!
Atmosphere was typical old school Italian. Ate off the lunch menu. Size was good, but the quality and taste has gone down a couple notches of what it used to be like a couple years ago! Service was a 50+ woman that obviously didnt want to be there. She wasnt very attentive, especially while we ordered. Several small but avoidable mistakes. I was starting my meal while my guests were finishing. I could not recommend this place any longer...sorry!
Order the wedding soup it had good flavor but way too much shredded chicken in it then I had the chicken cacciatore and sent it back the sauce was way to tart tasted like a red lemon sauce the waiter was great and the manager was really awesome also will be back to try something else
Our favorite Columbus Italian restaurant. We went when it was located near Oakland Park. Felix, the owner, is very personable as is his son. The food is always delicious, they have a nice wine selection, the servers are always efficient and friendly. The fire burning in the fireplace last night gave the place a cozy feeling. We will be back often, their specials are always great.
Been wanting to try this place for a long time. Went for a Sunday afternoon dinner with a party of 5. Had a reservation, but still waited a half hour to be seated at a booth with a table stuck onto it that left one of our party members sitting in the middle of the aisle next to the pickup area constantly getting bumped into. The food itself was just ok. Im sorry to say, but nothing tasted very special, though the gnocchi was cooked well. Everything tasted like stuff I could buy at Kroger next door and throw together myself. And the sausage on the Italian sampler was really fried out. The only reason this place gets 2 stars from me is because our server was attentive and had personality. She refilled beverages constantly and met all of our needs. She also joked around with us and we really liked her.Maybe we came on an off night. Its obviously a popular place so I feel like it must be better than my experience, but we dont really see ourselves returning.
My wife, daughter, and I went on Sat evening for Mothers Day. It was really busy but we had a reservation and were seated within several minutes of arriving. The good was very good. My wife is part Italian and grew up eating traditional Italian food. She said that this was real Italian food like what she grew up with. We will definitely be back,
Been years since Ive been since leaving for the military. Used to go their location on Westerville Rd many years ago.My grandfather used to take me there back when that area was still decent.Im happy to say the food doesnt seem to have changed much and I almost got emotional talking to the older gentleman working the bar talking about days past and reminding me of my grandfathers generation.Im so grateful that they didnt change what they do and allowed me a chance to just have a piece of what my grandfather enjoyed so much so many years ago.If youre wondering what I had, if was veal parmigiana. I will definitely be back.
While the prices are a little higher for the dinner crowd, the owner and bar tender tonight were both very friendly and the service was prompt and good. The caesar salad was very good. The bar had a very peaceful (no loud music, or people) environment, with a low toned light scenery. It was well maintained and managed. Definitely plan to go back in the future!
Was not very good. Service was meh. We had to listen to our waitress explain the bitter details of her divorce for a good 15 minutes to the table next to us. Service time was good, and thats why the two stars. The food was very bland and not good, I could of gotten more taste from a jar of Alfredo from the kroger next door. They have cheap wine in which they mark up 10x the cost. For a better meal and experience go to olive garden. You will spend about the same and get way better food. I do not usually post reviews, but my girlfriend and I were both very disappointed.
I ordered spaghetti alla puttanesca and the GF ordered chicken parmesagna. Was disappointed with my spaghetti. Was expecting a bit more... And better tasting... I would say puttanesca is not up to its hype. I wish I would have ordered the chicken parmigiana, the girlfriend got the better end of the deal.
I will not be coming back to this restaurant. I am complete disgusted by what we experienced. First of all, our waiter placed all of our glasses on the table by touching the rim of the glasses with the palm of his hands. I have to assume he washes his hands, but I can’t be sure. My daughter ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. He brought her an adult size portion and charged us for it, even though it is obvious our daughter is a little kid. Pretty shady. Lastly, and this takes the cake...my mother in law was drinking coffee, and her cup was half full. The waiter asked if she would like a refill, and he proceeded to overflow her coffee cup. He apologized for the accident. Accidents happen. He took her overflowed coffee cup to the vacant table next to us, poured her (half old, half new) coffee back into the community coffee pot, wiped the mug off with a napkin, and he poured her a cup of coffee with the pot he just dumped her old coffee back into. How many other coffee cups did he fill with the recycled coffee? Gross...no thank you.
I can only assume that the five star ratings are from employees or friends. We got there on a Monday at about quarter til 12. We were seated quickly and then began to wait....I could not understand. The place was dead. Our waitress looked very seasoned and yet we never saw her. My drink was refilled twiceThe only time she was at our table. Food was good the service is so poor.... Dont consider this place unless you want - Take Out...
AMAZING food, excellent customer service, and nice atmosphere. My mom and I had the wedding soup, eggplant parmesan, and the toasted gorgonzola bread (I forget what it was called). Everything tasted hot and fresh. Milanos is definitely going to be our new wedding soup fix. Also, their salad dressing is delicious!
Excellent place! I just had a late lunch with a colleague and the food was hot, fresh, and tasted good. I especially recommend the meatballs with provolone. The entire time we were there, one of the owners continuously greeted and thanked the patrons as they came and went despite of the fact that he was very busy. Very friendly establishment, and Id recommend it to anyone.
I ordered the rigatoni and meatballs. The meal came with a side salad, rolls, and breadsticks. The breadsticks were excellent, they tasted fried. But the basket of “rolls” looked and tasted like hot dog buns. Bland. The salad was good, I opted for the house Italian dressing. What was very disappointing, though, was the main dish. The noodles tasted like it came right out of a grocery store box. The meatballs were mushy. The sauce had a bitter taste, making the dish unpalatable. And it was way over priced. We had a fabulous waitress, though. Next time I may try the pizza and stay clear of pasta dishes.
My partner and I come here often for date night. Its good Italian food and you feel at home in the casual atmosphere. Great food, good prices, nightly specials, Sinatra in the background. The perfect regular place for an affordable dinner with your significant. We love Milanos.
Youre given two types of bread...one is just a bread roll which isnt warmed up and is something youd find at a buffet, the other is bread sticks.I ordered the fresh veal parmigiana. It was topped with canned mushrooms which were cold and werent even seasoned. The marinara sauce that came with the spaghetti was extremely watery and lacked flavor.
This place used to be so good. DINER BEWARE: This time that I went I received my first drink and it had a nat in it. I then asked for another and the waitress was like “oh yea that happens, would u like another?”. Then the next one had other floaties in it. It made me lose my appetite. Then I went to drink my water and there was a ton of black stuff floating around at the bottom. I wanted to throw up. I can’t make this stuff up. I hated that this happened because I loved this place before but I will never eat here again after that. The thought of what I might have eaten or drank before I noticed still makes me sick to think about.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. I finally decided to have it delivered thru Door Dash. The order arrived earlier than scheduled; however, unfortunately I wasn’t impressed with the food itself. I ordered the lasagna and it seemed like a frozen meal lasagna. Nothing special. And it doesn’t come with any side dishes even though the menu suggests that it does. It was definitely not worth the price of $13.99 plus the delivery plus the tip. It ended up costing me a total of $26 and I would’ve rather had Fazolis. Definitely disappointed and won’t go there again. I expected a lot more from a sit down Italian restaurant.
Just finished my to go order and the food was not impressive. Shrimp scampi was buttered noodles with sour tasting shrimp. Rigatoni alla Milano was a little better, all the meat on it was very good but the sauce just didn’t taste right (very tangy). Over all was not impressed paying as much as I did and receiving a meal that tasted less than or equal to something I could of made at home with groceries from Kroger.
Have been twice because a friend likes it.Why, I dont know. Food was bland and overpriced. But the kicker is that the credit card charge was bumped 5 bucks the second time, even though I left a decent tip. When I called, management denied that it could happen.Dont pay with a CC, I guess.
Please do your self a favor never visit this place. To everyone who think this is Italian food hahaha you have never tasted real Italian someone you even mention it tastes like old New York can’t believe your taste buds can do you so wrong. Price= what a joke if only it was real Italian I would probably justify it but no way this is priced correctly. Affordable? Again idk why everyone in our area thinks different on what affordable is. Service wasn’t bad it was just blah. Don’t trust reviews if you go here and still think this is authentic maybe you should reconsider if you have ever had real lasagna.
Service was excellent, but the food was just not that good. However, the complimentary bread is delicious. I ordered the more expensive veal parmigiana since they were out of the standard one. My wife ordered lasagna. We both chose salad with house Italian dressing. The salad was very bare bones. Lettuce, onion, carrot slices, cabbage. No croutons, no tomatoes... nothing else. The dressing was all olive oil... I asked if I only received oil and she made another salad saying that it may not have been stirred? Salad came back a little better, but still mostly flavorless. The veal was over cooked. Tried to eat it but couldnt get it down. Tough and crunchy. The lasagna was very soupy (swimming in marinara). No meat, and not that flavorful. To their credit they did notice I was struggling with the veal and remade it for me. The next one was cooked correctly, but still wasnt very good... just ok. The staff went out of their way to try to make our meal enjoyable. They didnt discount anything, but I wasnt after that so its ok. Probably wont seek out the place again but wouldnt be opposed to trying it again if its convenient
Well let me start with I was hesitant to place a carry-out order because two weeks ago I called on a Saturday evening to carry out, the lady that answered said hold on I have to find a piece of paper. Literally after 15 minutes of holding I decided to hang up and call back thank you she must have forgot I was on hold, the phone continued to ring busy for another 10 minutes so I gave up and ordered from another restaurant. I went ahead and tried back this evening thinking it was just a fluke what happened a few weeks ago a woman answer the phone I told her I would like to place a carry-out order she said hold on yelled for someone and a man got on the phone and asked if I had a large order to place I told him no just three of the specials to which he then yelled for her to come back to the phone and take my order, she was pretty short with me even though my order was pretty simple. When I arrived to pick up the food I went to the bar and Im assuming the same lady that took my order was the one who gave me the food she again was quite rude. I will say that our food was really good and there were very large portions for the price and it was still hot when we got home. This isnt really a complaint as much as a heads up to management which she may very well be, customers care how they are treated and a lot of times that will determine if they will return to an establishment or not I got it we all have bad days but when youre in this kind of business you need to learn to put that aside when dealing with the general public. It would be a shame to lose business because of something so simple to fix. Maybe consider treating people who carry out the same as those who dine in.
Today for my Wifes birthday, at her request, we ordered off the lunch menu. She had the fresh veal parm and I had the chicken parm. Meals included salad, bread sticks and rolls with butter. I ordered the tirimisu and she the limincello cake. All items were packed in foam containers and warm when we got it home 15 minutes after pick-up. Everything was as good as when we have had it in restaraunt. It was ready in 15 minutes or less. Kudos to MilanosBatman.
Eat local! Gathered up some of our local Ducatisti (Ducati motorcycle enthusiasts) for a Christmas dinner. Michael and the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Truly made us feel like family. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and amusing. Most of all, very knowledgeable about each dish! Small-ish and quaint considering the location (in a strip mall), with an ambience that’s spot-on for old school Italian. Food was solid across the board. It satisfies the carb-craving (mmm...CARBS!!) and is far beyond what the chains can offer. Nice “hidden” gem, and can’t wait to ride back when the weather outside isn’t quite so frightful!
I admit to having higher standards but it really was not what I expected. I ordered the orecchiette pasta with sausage, sundried tomatoes in a red sauce. It was EXTREMELY oily and the tomatoes were burned giving the entire dish a very off putting taste. Im contemplating going back to maybe try something in a creme sauce but my lack of photo is probably an indication that I wont be returning.
Milanos had the best Italian food in Ohio I have never had a bad experience at this establishment wether it be the food, customer service, or atmosphere. This is a wonderful place to bring your friends and family! And the prices are perfect, they have something for everyone. When we go we spend between 11$ to 16$ per person. For a nice restaurant and great fresh food. Thats awesome.
My family and I decided to celebrate my mothers birthday at Milanos because that was her request. She had not been there in many years and thought the food and experience was excellent. Nothing could be further from the truth. The prime rib I ordered was disgusting and almost entirely fat and so I ordered the chicken marsala which I have had at other Italian restaurants and it was two mashed up chicken breasts I. What appeared to be watered down olive oil. I wish I could say it was only my experience, yet my brother and his girlfriend also commented on how terrible the food was. In truth the best thing about the experience was the bread sticks and house red wine. I was very disappointed and expecting a much better experience from the testimonials I was hearing about. Needless to say I will not be returning.
I do not know what the dinner experience is like; however, went there for my birthday lunch with my Mom and ordered my lunch, and when then food came it seemed that maybe someone ate half of it on the way to the table because the portions we got for the price we were charged was ridiculous. The breadsticks are wonderful. The dessert as well was overpriced for the sliver of cheesecake that I was given. In looking at the website, we were given the dinner menu at lunchtime, therefore, we were given tiny lunch portions for the dinner price. I even looked at the menu to try and find a lunch section. Sort of feel scammed.
What a find! If you are in the area, you have to eat here! I had the fresh veal cutlet parmigiano and it was to die for. At least a foot long and 4 inches wide, almost couldnt eat it all. Had to leave some spaghetti on my plate. The red sauce is flavorful and sweet. Service was outstanding. Thanks Milanos.
Both my husband and I were very disappointed in this place. Save your money and go to Fazolis for a much tastier meal. First, we ordered the breaded mushrooms as an appetizer. Very disappointed. Looked and tasted like it came premade in a box. Ive had better mushrooms at a take out pizza shop. For dinner, I ordered fettuccini alfredo and added shrimp and mushrooms. The mushrooms were an additional $2.95 and looked like all they did was open a can an threw it on top of my meal. The shrimp was an an additional $3.95 and looked like all they did was throw on some shrimp cocktail. The shrimp was bland not sauteed or anything. So, needless to say, my food was very expensive for nothing. I would of had better food at Fazolis at 1/3 of the cost. My food was also luke warm when it arrived. The only reason I am giving it a star at all is because the bread sticks were awesome. Very different and yummy. The best part of the entire meal. Olive Garden blows this place away!
I really do love the food here, best Italian place around, it’s not even close they blow the competition out of the water with there fresh food but every time I call to place a carry out the blond chick is so incredibly rude, when I place my order she’s literally huffing and puffing at me as if I’m taking her valuable time. When I went in to the restaurant to pick up my food I brought it up to her and she said that it didn’t happen.
I was not impressed with this place at all. I was shocked to see how packed it gets because of the quality of the food. The bread is not good, the entrees are not good. Nothing authentic or worth the money. If youre gonna be expensive, give good food. Never returning. Sorry.
I found this place below average. My wife and I thought it might be good because it always seem to have some traffic going in and out. I now realize this is because they have a solid base of older people who must have a dulled sense of taste. We found the place dark and cramped... the bar seemed more important than the dining area given the layout... and the lady that seated us came across in a way that made us feel like we werent welcome... So much so that we both commented how we felt out of place. The waitress acted like we were a table that she would have to endure. Answers were short, terse, and barely helpful. Checkups were few and drinks went empty at times. The food was forgetful and struck me as the type of heat-and-serve stuff you would get at a retirement home. It was southern Italian, lots of red, but was missing the burst of flavor that style usually carries. The marinara was unimaginative and bland and the chicken parmesan had nothing going for it. Overall, we found the flavors dull and something we would forget as soon as we left the place. An Italian chef should have a signature taste to his marinara... just like a sushi chef has a unique flavor to his rice... I think their signature was a #10 can a Ragu.It is a shame too... Im a fan of single location restaurants that really take pride in serving fresh, unique, and flavorful food... especially Italian ones... Milanos just doesnt fit in that group.
I have lived in this Columbus/Reynoldsurg area for 10 years and have gone to Milanos for many years. As a 64 year old person who had traveled extensively and eaten out frequently I can assure you the place is greatThose that mention too much bread....well take it home. The portions are excellent size, the service great, intimate dining in a NON chain restaurant atmosphere. Drinks prepared to my liking such as a Rob Roy dry, up with a twist! You other reviewers do remember real drinks?Salad always wonderful. Wait staff and owner always right on it and accomidating. Give it a try!
Where to begin. Wanted to review all the way so we stayed. Well we wont be going back thats for sure. Expensive bland small portions of food dirty servers and location. Brown lettuce. I dint think any of these items are freshly made more like boxes goods from next door and no time to season.
Save your money, go to somewhere that cares about its customers.. Went there today for Veterans Day, not looking for a deal because those restaurants are always crowded, just looking for good food and this was the first time going here. Ordered a 10oz. steak dinner for like $15.95 and what I got was a poor excuse for meat.. Lets start at the beginning.. Bread was good, iced tea was unsweet but still not bad. Salad, too much dressing and not enough veggies (not a reason for a bad review, but still one nail in the coffin..) Get the steak I ordered medium-rare and the first thing I notice is that it barely looks cooked. No sear on the outside of the steak at all, cut into it and nothing but red.. I can deal with a red steak, so I make my way through it... This steak was prepared awfully, I have made better steaks buying a cheap cut at wal-mart and pan frying it... Get all the meat I can and realize about 5 of my 10oz is nothing but fat.. Bring this up to our waitress and she agrees this is disgusting.. Goes to speak to the manager and not only are they not going to do anything about it, I have to pay full price... Never going here again EVER! Get better cuts of meat, hire a better chef, and learn that the customer comes first.. Dont tell them you wont do a thing and shove a crap steak in their face...
Felix the owner should be ashamed of himself. He treats his staff poorly. I was here one night when a young female waitress was told if she wanted more money she could become a stripper. I promptly told him what a nasty thing to say as I watched the young lady leave in tears. This is unacceptable behavior and I hope others will see this and stop going here.
-----------EDITED WITH RESPONSE TO OWNER------------A sneaking suspicion all these 5 star ratings are coming from employees, friends, and family of the restaurant and/or its owner. This isnt the worst restaurant in the country, but certainly horrible nonetheless. Fried breadsticks which taste like they probably use grease from the Chinese food place a few doors down. Alternative to the fried breadsticks are, no-joking, hotdog buns from GFS.I ordered a beverage, a salad, and chicken Alfredo. The beverage came in a filthy glass which matched the silverware I suppose. The salad is clearly a bag mix which is probably not stored to code as shown by the wilty, browning mess I was served beneath a French dressing which had all the charm of ketchup. The main course was reminiscent of a 99 cent Michelinas microwavable dinner from Walmart. Overall my meal lacked both quantity and quality. The wait staff was very inattentive and didnt appear to have the best of hygiene either. The decor looks like it was probably the cheapest they could find. Mismatching everything and a mural which appeared to be done by a student in a high school art class. The table next to us was vacant and left with dirty dishes the entire time we were there. No one ever bothered to bus it and it actually gathered a few flies during the course of our meal.As for the others in my party, I cant speak for the taste, but their meals had the appearance of being prepared and served for a school cafeteria. There is nothing impressive about this place, and in many ways its quite awful. Not in a malicious, trying to be bad kind of way, but more in an amateur, I have no idea how to run a business, and am too much of a pushover to manage a decent staff, kind of way.I dont often wish ill on people, but I actually hope this place closes down someday soon. I feel bad knowing other people, like me at one time, will make the one-time mistake of actually paying to go through this horrible experience.Dont trust the 5-star ratings on this site, Im almost certain they were all put up by persons associated with the owner. Dirty trick, but I guess youve got to resort to deceit to get customers when to have such a terrible restaraunt.Heres to hoping Milanos has seen its last year in business. Cheers! In response to Milanos indignant and semi-literate rebuttal to my complaint ---I insinuated nothing. I feel I was pretty overt with my opinion. Perhaps you shouldnt use big people words without looking them up first. I exaggerated nothing. I presented suspicions, not direct accusations. I truly believe your establishment is horrible... Also not an exaggeration. Your respondent seems to be unable to manage his/her emotions and is therefore rendered incapable of reading the actual words I wrote rather than drumming up their own exaggerations and accusing me of having written them.As for your being fine with me not returning to your heap to eat from the plate of garbage youll no doubt serve me, glad to hear it. Maybe learn to be rational and respond to complaints by understanding customers get angry when you deliver sub-par products and services and its your job not to attack, but to take the criticism, however negative it may be, and not act a fool on a public review site. More evidence of your amateurish style of running a, business.
Dinner okay, my bill was $40.96 reasonable for dinner for 2 persons. I left an $8.00 cash tip and paid with debit card placing a large X in the space provided for tip. Upon checking my bank statement the following day I was charged $48.96, the waitress effectively stole $8.00 from me, committing bank fraud. I called the restaurant upon discovery and getting the run around. Never eating here again!!!!
If i could give no stars I would . Stay Away from this place . Food is disgusting.Proportions are way off for price.Cups for drinks are the size of a childs cup .Ordered Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp 😤😝Shrimp was very rubberyAlfredo sause was thick and disgusting .Little flies flying around everywhere.Dont go here if you want a good meal.
Should have gotten Fazolis instead and paid 1/3, plates are around $17 so one would think they were about to indulge in something very yummy. What is up with the cube shaped ham being called prosciutto, the greasy breadsticks and the no flavor sauce, it is like they just open up a jar and add water to it, the pasta is clearly the same kind i buy at Aldi, except i know how to get it al dente, yikes! Secondly, they charge $1 extra to get the cesar instead of the house salad and all you get is lettuce and last weeks greasy, dried out, nasty breadsticks. What a let down, this is the most shameful misinterpretation of italian food i have ever tasted and yet it is also the most expensive. I know you may be starving and just worked all day and all you want is some yummy pasta but please do yourself a favor and just eat chef boyardee if you have no other options.
If you like your Italian food to taste like a broke college student made it on a hot plate in their dorm room this is the place to go. I ordered Tortellini Alla Panna. I know what youre thinking how do you mess that up? Well I am glad you asked. First start off with the blandest jar of Alfredo sauce you can find and add a thinning agent.(2% milk will work nicely) To this base add some frozen peas( they will help thin the sauce further) sprinkle in some chip chopped ham( this will also release some moisture to aid in the thinning). Then add some frozen tortillini. IT IS IMPORTANT TO DO THIS QUICKLY as waiting too long will allow the sauce to thicken. Also do not add any seasoning as this will ruin the authentically bland dorm room taste we are aiming for. Oh and the best part is that it only cost $18 to take you back to your broke college days. Or if you are currently a broke college student walk over to the grocery store in the same strip mall as the authentic Italian restaurant and purchase the ingredients for about $18 and make dinner for the whole floor( dont worry the portions after splitting it up will still be the same as if you ate at the authentic Italian restaurant. Oh and if you are a tight wad this is definitely the place for a first date. Look at like an investment. If your date likes it then you will not argue over the grocery bill in the future as they obviously like bland cheap food with no flavor. This is a family run restaurant although I doubt they are Italian and if they are they probably left Italy due to the food as their pallettes werent able to handle the flavor. Oh and if your relationship with your mother mirrors that of Eminem and his mother Debbie I would suggest going here for mothers day.

2021-09-195 STAR REVIEW FROM ME! : Been here twice. BETTY IS AMAZING! I had a party of 5, My 16oz Prime Rib was PERFECT and TENDER. Fatty as I LIKE IT but some would say too much. (Just to set expectations). Other meals were either flavorful, or like the cheese ravioli, very MILD in flavor. Salads were fresh, dressing homemade and WONDERFUL! (Caesar Salad ROCKED!) They have breadsticks - these are fried/greasy and delicious. DO NOT FILL UP ON THEM. They have decent bread rolls that are baked. Why 3 Stars? - 3 of my party had stomach upset. 2 of them filled up on greasy breadsticks. One of those guys had a bad gastric issue later after the meal...but he was a glutton and it backfired on him. He took a meal home (Fresh take-out) for his partner at home. That person ALSO had gastric issues with their meal. Same Glutton had issues from previous first-time visit. However, Myself and another has ZERO issues and are looking to go back.(Dont be a glutton, hold off on the breadsticks maybe ?)I RECOMMEND this place, not the breadsticks or gluttony.

2022-03-21The food here was incredible! I got the Cajun rotini chicken and it was amazing. It naturally had a kick to it, but it wasnt overwhelming. It was fresh, hot, and made the order. Alice was a great waitress. The maître d was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Reservations are preferred. This is definitely on my return list next time I am in Columbus!

2022-06-24Nice place, been here a couple times. Every table has a bottle of olive oil and grated parmesan which makes for a great experience with their bread. Food is pretty good and service is excellent, server is attentive and drinks are quick even in a larger group. Worth a visit.

2022-05-11Our Mother’s dinner plans fell through at the last minute on Saturday and The amazing staff at Milano’s was able to fit us in. The food was incredible and they were able to accommodate my brother’s egg allergy easily. They even brought him separate food. Our waiter was a wonder gentleman!

2022-07-16Came for dinner with my husband. He ordered the lasagna and I got the chicken Alfredo. The lasagna had no meat it was literally noodles and sauce and hardly any cheese. The chicken Alfredo I goat a small bit of chopped chicken and bland sauce. I do not recommend the food. The service was great that’s the upside.

2022-06-30We got there were the only ones there and the first ones and I thought everything would be good my tea tasted like there was something metallic that had been in it. I opted for water. My aunt ordered liver and onions and she took a few bites and she said it tastes funny so I told her not to eat it I think it was leftover from Saturday. They did replace it with a Reuben and but whats not pleased with this visit.

2022-05-27I was excited to try this spot BUT it was a big let down! I ordered the chicken piccatta and me and my friend sent it back. We even tried to doctor it up with a side of alfredo. Alfredo sauce taste bland; like they used flour and water. I just reordered the Italian sandwich which was decent but the fries was supposed to have seasoning but it taste like paper bag. I wanted to have a great experience but they have some work to do!
