Fourteen years ago I had a degenerative disc disease with severe sciatic pain that left me dysfunctional with no quality of life. For a couple years I proceeded with every type of treatment (chiropractic, PT, epidural injections, prescription pain killers, etc) until I was left with surgery as a last resort. I had multiple medical opinions, and was NOT expecting Dr. Herceg to recommend a spinal fusion - it seemed so daunting and drastic! But I trusted him and am glad I did! I was recovered in 6 months, playing sports and traveling. All these years later, I am still so grateful for my health and quality of life.
Dr. M. Herceg has always I made me feel comfortable and explained things you you can understand it.He is very knowledgeable and smart. I would HIGHLY recommend this man. He even goes as far as to send things for you to listen to at home so you can put it together before your surgery date. Hats off to you DR M. Herceg and his Nurse CeCe......., as for the Hospital stay, it was like a resort. Very much impressed with Dublin Methodist Hospital. You have some of the greatest Nursing staff. Hats off to PT Stephanie / Nurses Jennifer,Jill ,Gorge. Nursing assistant Joshua . Those are some I can really remember. Extra (((hug))) for you guys that keep it all together. This is my third back surgery with Dr. Herceg. He has always been kind, caring and professional. I would highly recommend him.
Dr. Herceg was very thorough and polite. He put a plan together to get me on the right road to getting better and I would recommend them to anyone. Such a great office as well.

Dr. Herceg ignored a severe problem. Told me I wouldn’t become paralyzed walking down the street, I became paralyzed while laying in my own bed.

2022-03-29Dr Herceg is excellent at what he does and genuinely cares. I understand he and his staff are very busy, but you have to pin them down and be quick with your concerns as they will move you along swiftly. I think that because everything is so routine for them that they may not always exhibit the empathy a patient who is scared and unfamiliar needs.

2022-03-31Dr Herceg is by far one of the best surgeons in the world. Not only did he do a great job performing my surgery. He called me while he was on his vacation to make sure I was feeling well. I have been telling everyone about my experience with him and his assistant CeCe. They are hands down the best in the world to me.

2022-05-27I recently had a L4-L5 back fusion surgery performed by Dr. Herceg. Prior to my surgery, numerous people provided me with unsolicited horror stories about this type of surgery.It is noteworthy that none were performed by Dr. Herceg. Nonetheless, the experiences by others were very unsettling. Consequently, I did my research about this type of surgery and the Ohio surgeons who performed them. Bottom line, for back surgery, Dr. Herceg is your guy. Although not much of a talker, Dr. Herceg is an extremely knowledgeable and skilled surgeon. The horror stories were unfounded. While not pain free, the pain I experienced was minimal and my progress was quick. Dr. Herceg has a great medical team anchored by his assistant CeCe, who may be the hardest working person on the planet. She helped considerably in explaining the process and putting my mind at ease.

2022-06-17I used to have sciatic pain and doctor Hercerg recommended doing microdiscectomy to treat it. It’s been a month since the surgery and I feel much better and the pain is gone.

2022-02-03Dr Herceg is a true professional! He seen me, had me get an MRI in the office. He seen me right after my MRI and said I needed surgery to repair the spacing between my C5-C6. Had my surgery 4 weeks later. Had no complications and felt relief immediately after surgery. I just seen him for my 2 week follow up and I couldnt be happier. My fingers are no longer tingly and my shoulder pain is almost non-existent. I highly recommend if you have neck pain to see Dr Herceg. The staff at orthepedic one is top tier and took great care of me! I will recommend all my friends and family to Dr Herceg and orthepedic one!

2019-03-03My Husband has had a very complicated medical history with six prior surgeries, and also septic shock in 2010. My husband has been in a lot of pain since then with hips and back. He has already had two hip replacement surgeries and a foot surgery. Dr. Herceg is quiet in nature, but he really listens and gave attention to my husbands and my concerns for my husband undergoing another surgery. Dr. Herceg listened to me, and made sure to keep my husband as safe as possible. Everything went the best it could. I am forever grateful to Dr. Herceg. My husband is too. Dr. Herceg is short on talking but always gave us time when he is so busy. Dr Herceg helps so many people. My husband told me he needed a surgeon who is the best and cares; and does not have to be your buddy. Dr. Herceg is the Best. We will be forever grateful to him.
