My name is actually Mary Jo McClain. :)I was thrilled with the work that Gino and Ben did replacing my discharge pipe. They were professional, courteous, explained everything, had a sense of humor. Everything was efficient, clean up was perfect, and they really went above and beyond what I could have expected. Would recommend 100% to anyone (and already have). Even my neighbors were impressed with how thorough and thoughtful they were. Couldnt be happier. Also - Anthony did the estimate, and he was great as well. Friendly, did a great job explaining exactly what he thought needed to be done.Thank you!Mary Jo McClainMilford, OH
Midwestern Plumbing tech Kyle handled my plumbing emergency expertly and efficiently. Kyle was professional and confident and had my plumbing issue fixed in a short time at a reasonable price. Midwestern Plumbing will be getting all of my plumbing work as well as my recommendation from now on. I might mention the pleasant and efficient office staff who took my call. I had someone at my door 3 hours after calling. Thanks Midwestern Plumbing.
I dont usually post a Google review, but my recent service with Midwest necessitates a compliment. Kyle responded to my service request to repair a slow dripping outdoor faucet that ultimately led to the repair of a faulty pressure guage. Kyle returned to my home four times in one day to ensure the dripping had ceased, assuring me each time that he would stick with us till the end. He was very pleasant, never complained and was helpful in explaining everything that he was doing. He even followed up the next day to make sure we were satisfied with the repairs. I dont often get this kind of pleasant diligence with other service people and thought it should be recognized.
Gino and Robert did a great job in replacing the old clay sewage pipe heading from my house out to the main. I had forgotten to mention the location of my sump pump line and it was taken out in the excavation part of the job. Gino ran up to the hardware store and got the replacement line to fix it up good as new. I would recommend their work for sure. Midwestern came in $5k cheaper to a local competitor and was professional and honest in suggesting what needed to be done.
Wow! This company is top-notch. We called because our grinder pump was going off, and we were afraid our basement was on the verge of flooding. Jason arrived within an hour of our call, and he got right to it. He determined the problem and had it up and working quickly. He then asked if there was anything else that he could help with while at our home. (I mean, who does that any more. Most people want to run out after one thing is complete.) We said actually yes, our cold water faucet in our half bath comes out slow, and no one can seem to figure out what is wrong with it. (our home is less than a year old) He cleaned out the line, and it took him about five minutes, and the water comes out like normal. I canβt believe the exceptional service that this company provided.I should tell you that I am a huge perfectionist and it takes a lot to impress me. Jason took his shoes off and did not track through the house. He was so respectful and explained everything in detail. Everything from the phone call, response time, professionalism, and work performed was exceptional. It is so nice to know that great companies still exist ones that take pride in what they do and care about their customers. Jason, Thank you! You were terrific and we canβt thank you enough.I highly recommend this company.
Needed service on our tankless water heater, they were able to get us in the next day. Kyle was really friendly and quickly resolved the issue we were having. He also took the time to walk me through the process of flushing our water heater in case I ever want to do it myself. Will use these folks again for sure as needs arise.
Anthony, Gino and Ben. All are professionals with top notch service, honest, quality work and great customer support!!! Highly recommend to all family and friends for any plumbing issues. So appreciate the prompt service from my first call into the company until the work was completed. Thank you!!!
My laundry room sink drain broke and my washer drained into so I wasnβt able to use my washer. Jake came out, fixed the drain on the sink and also recommended putting a new drain in only for my washer. He was here only about an hour to do both. Fantastic service from the technician, highly recommend Midwestern Plumbing!
I cant say enough good things about this company. I had a kitchen drain that was plugged up and I tried to free it myself. Well Nick showed up with the right equipment and even had covers for his shoes. He was at my house for about 90 minutes snaking and looking through the camera until he was sure it was clean. He told me how proud he is to be working for this company. I highly recommend this outfit to do any plumbing job.
This company was great. We had the alarm for sump pump going off and called them and they were there within 30 minutes, found out problem was a clog from a work rag from previous work done by a different company and was fixed quickly and not expensive. We will be using this company for all plumbing services moving forward.
I believe the technicians name was Kyle. He was very friendly, very friendly. But the problem I have is, telling them what I needed, that this appointment was scheduled for two hours. When I asked for a ballpark figure I was told by the woman, Well I need to book this for two hours to start with. Really didnt know that Id get billed for the whole two hours regardless of the actual time. The job took 15 minutes. Definitely not worth $174.00. I got billed for two hours of work for 15 actual minutes. I really thought about saying No. But the tech was really nice and Id guess it wasnt really up to him. All that because I didnt have the right tool. I knew it wouldnt be good but that amount is ludicrous. I l have other work that needs to be done and Ill be shopping around.
If you only read 1 review, please read this one. Midwestern came out to fix or replace the cistern pump. They replaced the motor but had to get another part to finish the job. We paid them $844 before they left and they never came back. I have called them 4 times and they say someone will have to call me back. The last time, it was the owner that needed to call me back, that was 3 weeks ago. The second time I called, the man tried to lie to me to say their company was the only one who worked on cisterns, when I told him that wasnt true, that I had 2 other companies that could have come out but they could get here quicker, he didnt really know what to say. PLEASE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I thought because I had heard the name and it seemed to be around for quite a while that it would be a reputable company. I was wrong. Do not select them because they can get there sooner, maybe there is a reason why they have the time to get you right in right a way. Please go to another Plumbing Company!
Getting an appointment with Midwestern Plumbing was easy and quick. Brian and his partner arrived in the middle of the scheduled timeframe. Both were thorough in their troubleshooting of the issue, knowledgeable, and rather quick in their work. The final bill was reasonable. I definitely recommend and will call on this local company again.
Iβve had nothing but good experiences with this company. The plumbers are honest and capable of tackling any job, big or small. Helpful staff on the phones too. Theyβve worked through complicated issues with a digital spa and identified the source of bathroom leaks. Highly recommended.
I contacted them and explained my plumbing problems. They said I should expect an emailed estimate in a couple hours. Five days and three phone calls later, I still have not seen or heard anything from them. If they didnt want to or were unable to do the work, why didnt they say? If it was too difficult of a job, why didnt they say?
The technician Kyle arrived promptly and got to work quickly. He ran into a couple of issues that were due to how our house was made. But he got the job done professionally. I would definitely use this company again should the need arise. I forgot to ask if you give discounts to veterans, as I am one myself. I would like to know the answer to that. Also another billing question: since we knew roughly what the cost was going into getting the hose bibs replaced, is charging a $49.00 service charge on top of a $535.00 bill really necessary? I could understand it if after arriving at the job, the owner changes their mind. Sometimes a service charge is hard to swallow knowing the cost for the job isnt cheap. Just wanted to throw that out there for consideration.
Absolutely amazing service! Had sewer back up at my Mothers home early this morning (Memorial Day). Called for service and they had a super knowledgeable, efficient and friendly serviceman out to the house within an hour or so. We could not have been happier with the service we received and will definitely continue to use them for any future need. Great job! Friendly service!
Ken came to my house on time and was very professional. When the water was not shut off by the county even though it wasnβt his job he took it upon himself to make sure the water was shut off to complete his work. He was very personable and took very good care of our situation at our house. Thanks
I would like to Thank the Crew (Ben & Gino) for doing such a good job, the clean up and professionalism they bring to Midwestern Plumbing! My Daughter is so happy with how Ben & Gino went over all the details after all the hard work was completed. I would Highly recommend Midwestern Plumbing!!!!
We have nothing but great things to say about Midwestern Plumbing. We have had a clogged laundry room and kitchen sink drain that we have been fighting with for years. Other plumbers we have had out have thrown up their hands and given up on our old house, but not these guys. Rich and Sonny worked tirelessly trying different access points until they were able to auger through. They put me at ease and were determined. For the first time since I moved into my house I can do dishes and laundry at the same time. Thanks guys.
Quoted and completed unnecessary work that did not even fix our problem. Said that we needed a cleanout installed on main sewer and jetting. Sent a bill for double what they originally quoted, stating the line was deeper than they originally thought(its pretty easy to measure that before quoting. Sent a bill for $6800 stating installed cleanout and jetted our downspouts and window wells, which were never even touched! They thought the main sewerline jetting solved our problem and they could bill us for additional work that was never completed, but the next rain we had the same issue. They came back out claiming to jet again(we werent on to them yet), at only $300 this time, and said they were going to need to dig up basement floor for somewhere in the $2500-$3000 range! Got a second opinion and had another company come in behind them and auger all of our window well and downspout lines, more $$ but much more reasonable than Midwesterns original bill and problem solved! We never needed the cleanout to begin with! They never offered the more reasonble solution of an auger, only jetting, because they make more money jetting....a lot more. I used to trust this company and recommend them to clients, not anymore. I am afraid they take total advantage of the unsuspecting consumer that doesnt know there are options- they certainly did in our case. My husband and I tried multiple times to discuss this issue with upper management with slow responses and complete lack of regard for the seriousness of the situation. They have employees billing for unnecessary work as well as billing for work, that their estimator Kevin agreed, has not been completed. It is sad to see companies like this take advantage of families like Midwestern did.
Jeremy is a true professional that quickly determined the problem and made a very important temporary fix and made arrangements for the permanent repair that could not be completed until after the other utility lines in the yard had been had been appropriately marked. Further, Jeremy is very pleasant and helpful in clearly explaining the problem and the alternatives for fixing the problem . Highly recommend Jeremy and Midwestern Plumbing Service !
My sump pump went out on basement and basement was flooded with about 6 inches of water. they came within a half hr replaced the pump which took about a half hr and charged me $725.00. way over priced and I personally will never use them again. I dont care how desperate I am. $725 for a pump that took 1/2 an hr to put in. Sad how some places take advantage of people in need.
Woke up Sunday morning to a busted hot water heater; called Midwestern to see if they could help; Jeremy was at my house by 12:30 to take care of everything no questions asked; after several hours, problem solved and we were good to go; wife was very happy which makes me happy. Thank you guys!
They have not done work for me and never will. One of their vans (number 59) cut me off while driving on Beechmont Ave. When I honked at him he gave me the finger. At the next light we exchanged words and he challenged me to a fight. I would not want this guy anywhere near my home.

2022-04-27I needed all my pipes in my basement replaced due to it being all old and Corroded. They was easy to work with and it cost about 1,850 dollars to have all thos pipes removed and replaced so i think that was pretty good. My water pressure is way better now and i wont have to worry about them busting so Im really happy about that. The plumber they sent was also very friendly and professional so thats nice.

2022-07-20I have a crawl space that other plumbers would not go under due to the small size of it. I called Midwestern and they came out same day and repaired a frozen pipe that busted along with the water hose spicket. The employee that did the repairs worked his butt off and it took him a couple of hours to finish the job. I will use this company in the future and recommend them π―

2022-04-08We had a hot water heater installed this week (our old one was at minimum 15 years old). We were quoted $1508 for a 50 gallon electric hot water heater. When they get there for installation, the water heater they have brought was too large for the space. So, they would have to get a thinner heater to fit. Wanted to charge an extra $340 for the heater due to the difference in cost, and the pan underneath. Upon complaint, they reduced this to $189 (in addition to the original quote). The heater starts leaking. The come out twice and replace the pressure valve, as that is where it was leaking. Still leaking as of yesterday, so they send (who I am guessing is a more experienced) technician out. Our heater needed an expansion tank! This is why it was leaking. He called the heater a ticking time bomb without it, because the pressure could have caused the whole heater to split. And extra $225 for the expansion kit, which should have been installed from the beginning, and we lived with what he called a ticking time bomb for 4 days. While the technicians were friendly (especially the one who finally figured the issue out yesterday), were still highly frustrated and dissatisfied!

2021-11-11This company had great reviews and mentioned cost effective and competitive rates several times on their website. I asked to have someone take a look at a small leak and possibly quote installing a toilet in the basement. From the time his tires hit the driveway to the time he left it was exactly 45 minutes. I was charged $175 for someone to lift the toilet lid and show me the filler was bad and then walk down to the basement and look at the pipes where I wanted the toilet. Needless to say I didnt even open the quote they emailed over. If a half-hour of diagnostics cost me $175, Id hate to know what they charge for actual labor.Would not recommend.
