Midas in other cities:
This is by far the best! From the time you walk in, and being personally greeted by themanager Aaron to the mechanic Steve who took the time to not only listen, but follow thru, find the problem,..And, fix it. For the first time, in a very long time, I feel safe driving, and I am so appreciative. Thank You Steve. The professionalism at this Midas is phenomenal, and I would recommend to all. Thank You Again guys for a fantastic job.A Loyal Forever Customer,Gina
Friendly, fast. But price was ridiculous. Charged me $223 for a control arm that can be purchased anywhere for under $75. $375 for a job that took less than an hour. If you dont care about value and just want the job done. Go to Midas. There is a reason why I was the only car there, when tireman down the street, had a two hour wait. Wont go back.
I am not one to write reviews but this company made my blood boil yesterday that I want to warn the rest of you. I have gone to Midas before for the occasional oil change and small repairs. They are normally fair and have good customer service. Yesterday I took my car in for an oil change, to fix my muffler and emergency brake. They ended up quoting me almost $1,800. $800 for the muffler and $400 for the emergency brake because they said both were shot. (I also needed my brakes done which I knew about but was getting fixed by my husband later that week) So, I said not to do anything and I wanted to get a second opinion. The employee was condescending with his response which made me furious. He also assumed I still wanted my oil changed and did that even though I did not authorize them to change it. Once I took it to Auto Connections Brakes & Muffler, they gave me a $200 quote for the muffler and said the emergency brake wasnt even broke I just needed to pull up the brake to have it lock back in place (Midas told me the cable snapped and needed to be completely replaced). I will NEVER do business with their company again and neither should you.
No point in visiting this store, they never have any appointments available. Ive tried 3 days in a row to get a brake job for my handicap accessible van and each day I was told they were booked. they only had 3 cars in their 5 bays this morning and my vehicle was the only one in their lot, other than I assume employees vehicles. I guess a lot has changed with midas over the years. I called another shop Not a Midas and they told me to bring it in right away! The kid who greeted me was pretty rude also. So much for customer service! Midas on Monroe Street by Mancys dont even bother unless u have 3 days or more to wait for a simple fix!Update.. So after going to the other shop they inspected my brakes and found both front and rear pads needing to be replaced. And rear rotors. They replaced them in less than 2 hours and even completed an oil change and replaced my wipers. Im disappointed Midas used to be a place where I could drop my van off and pick it later apparently they have changed their policies. Especially getting there at 8am and being told they were booked again..
They were helpful figuring out what I needed but I think since I’m younger they assumed I didn’t know what I was talking about. When I got my car back after an oil change the air filter looked like someone had jammed it in and I had to buy a new one. Also my battery has been acting up ever since I took it to them. Wasn’t a horrid experience but will not be returning to them ever again.
Professional, respectful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Manager Mike, Stephen Master Tech and all the staff treated me like I was family. Tech Stephen actually came into the waiting area and showed me the bad part alongside the new one to demonstrate, explain what was broken. The other customers present were even impressed. I pass two other Midas facilities to get there and they are WORTH IT!
Super friendly and customer services was great. They were working late and allowed me to run in and changed out my front light. And so glad he did. Next night I was in hilly, unlit roads with curves everywhich way for a good hour of driving in the evening. Thank you so much! So appreciative you let me sneak in for service.
My wife and I broke down in Toledo on a recent Saturday afternoon and could not find shops willing to help us get our radiator fan motor replaced. However, Midas was willing to fit us in quickly and assess the situation and they got us back on the road within a couple of hours at a fair price. The staff was very friendly and they were excellent in their explanations of the problems we had with our vehicle. Thanks! I would highly recommend people going here for work on their car!
I have been taking my vehicles to this Midas for the last two years. I always find myself on high alert when taking my vehicle into any shop after hearing stories of people being taken advantage of. I can vouch for this store as they have always been fair and honest with me and they stand behind their work. On one occasion I thought i was needing a whole new exhaust for what turned out to be just a new exhaust gasket. I could have and expected to shell out hundreds of dollars but instead was charged a small amount for a quick fix. Thanks for your honesty!
What a life saver! They were open on Sat. Afternoon & are a full service shop (more than mufflers). They accurately diagnosed the problem, able to get American Honda parts & completed the repair beautifully!!!! Todd & Casey were very knowledgeable. I was back in business on Monday. I would recommend them highly!
The guys here are GREAT! They found and fixed my issues, saved me some $!! Very thorough work, they explain everything in more detail than I have dealt with before. Extremely nice and cute!! Cant go wrong here ladies!! Need good, honest work from professionals, go here! 😁
Owning a near by business, I have stopped here 3 times for quotes, and never again will I shop here. Their prices are insane and they are not very helpful. The first time I dropped of my friends car because it had a leaky exhaust. They quoted $600+ to replace the whole exhaust and said it couldnt be patched. A shop down the street repaired it for $100. The second time I wanted to get a labor quote to install an exhaust system I had already purchased for my car. They quoted $425, I got it done elsewhere for $125. The final straw was when my friends brakes went out completely and we had to pull in here. They told us it would be $640. They inspected it and said 2 brake lines were broke and some other things. Well, Tireman said only one brake line was bad and fixed everything for under $200. I would not recommend stopping here if you are trying to find the best price.
I originally when to Midas for a simple oil change (I had a promotion from a blood drive for $10 off a conventional oil change). They actually ended up giving me a better deal than the promotion and they also rotated my tires free of charge. After rotating the tires Mike, the assistant manager, informed me that the belt on one of my tires was separating. They offered to replaced the tire but I declined - there was no sales pressure.A few weeks later, after doing some research on tires prices, I returned and mentioned to Rusty, the manager, that Mike had found the problem with the tire and I was now interested in replacing all four. Rusty gave me a very fair deal and, because I was on my lunch break, assured me that the job would be done in an hour - they delivered on this promise.Overall, I was very pleased with my experience here and will likely return in the future.
They are extremely disorganized. I bought tires with hazord insurance and they claimed they had no record. They also said I had all 4 tires replaced I only had to. On top of all this they got an attitude when were paying for the tires we shouldnt have had to pay for in the first place. We have 4 cars and we will not be bring them back. I hope they didnt scam us for money. We will be going to the bank to check our records
Installed tie rod incorrectly, causing me more issues. Mechanics also do not look at the TSB regarding vehicles and updated manufacturer recommendations. Had my power steering flushed and they put in regular power steering fluid so when I had my vehicle returned to me every time I turn the wheel it was whining really loud. It was red before which is what makes sense now, someone must have had it flushed before I purchase the vehicle. But instead of putting two and two together or checking the Technical Service Bulletin they went ahead and just put in power steering fluid. The vehicle requires ATF+4 now, not power steering; hense the bulletin
Went in to get an oil change and about 2 hours later I get a call saying my tie rods are bad so I told them to go ahead and fix it. 4 hours later I call to see if its done and they said they cant find a part that fits so theyre either gonna put the old ones back on or give it back as is. They put the old ones on took it to a local mechanic and he said the tie rods were fine. DONT USE MIDAS!!!
I will end get wheel alignment they told me they couldnt do it because I need inner outer tie rod ends so I called him back to go ahead duty the titans in the alignment awaited like for 5 hours we finally got done then when I go get my truck come to find out we didnt do the wheel alignment so lets day I called him backup now they want me to wait 2 to clock in the afternoon take my truck into set take awhile our is looking what hour but I didnt feel that I should have to wait because I already paid for realignment anti writer and I should came 1st it was very bad experience I think that I will not be back
My wife went in for a simple oil change and was harassed verbally by the employee doing her oil change. As well when I called to speak with the store manager he was cocky, rude, and refused to address the issue of sexual harassment or discipline the employee. I will never go here again.
This place is full of scammers! went in for a simple oil change and they tried to sell me over 800 dollars worth of maintenance that my car needed. it sounded fishy on the phone so i told them to just do the oil change and had a friend check my car out whos been a mechanic for 40+ years. he told me there was nothing wrong. do not go to this shop they are full of liars
Buyer beware.I went to Midas shop on Monroe St. After hitting debris in the road, I needed them to repair my AC that was damaged. I mentioned that I was going to turn the bill over to my insurance. They repaired my AC, but when I tried to get reimbursed through my insurance they pointed out the bill was to high. Apparently, the Midas charged me almost double--$500.00 for a $271.00 dealership part. I would not recommend this shop unless you are desparate and have unlimited funds.
Do not go to Midas. Especially this one. They are crooks. Everytime I take my car in for an oil change they come up with a list of $700 of repairs it needs. I decline the repairs every time and the next oil change they come up with a different $700 worth of work it needs. Magically the list from last time has repaired itself. These people are scammers. If the fraud is not enough these morons put my van on the lift with the lift arms sitting on the rocker panels damaging the vehicle. You would be better off using your money as TP, at least then it would accomplish something.
SCAMMERS BEWARE, I took my brand new truck in for an oil change and i needed a little air in my front tire, they called me up an hour later and said my truck needed 700 worth of work, I told them i just wanted the oil change, i get the truck back with censors going off and one headlight out. and no air in my tire like i asked. it was clear they messed my truck up after not wanting to get the 700 worth of extras my truck didnt need. A co worker of mine had the same thing happen to him a week ago and they told him he needed 900 worth of work done, he took it to another place who said he didnt need any of it. this place is a CHOP SHOP.
Veterans weekend I was driving from Lakeweod, OH to Mt. Pleasant, MI. In Toledo, a nail punctured my tire and I was frantic as the tire pressure was dropping. I immediately got off the highway and found my way to Midas. James and AJ were GREAT! Got my car in/out and back on the road (in and hr) for my nephews bday weekend! Kudos to you! Thank you SO much!!!
There is no doubt these people will try to scam you. It dont matter who is working, they will act like your car is going to break down if you dont fix this tiny little thing that costs a fortune and really doesnt need to be done. I know car places are known to do stuff like that but these guys take it to the next level.

2022-08-06I was able to drop off / pick up same day without appointment for oil change. Price is competitive. The counter person was friendly and did not talk down to me. I didnt feel like I was inconveniencing him. Ive taken multiple cars multiple times to this location and always received satisfactory service. Waffle House next door. Grab a bite to eat while you wait.I would recommend the Midas at 5435 Monroe Street.

2022-05-24Sam Elliott has nothing on the deep voices at this shop of deep voiced men. Not only are they short handed but they go the extra mile to make sure the job is done right. If I ever need a vehicle inspection for a drive from Ohio to Arizona again. I will go here, lots of trust with this store. Honesty is a very difficult thing to find but it is at this store. So are handsome voices, just saying.

2021-10-09I brought my Tesla in for a tire patch. From the moment I gave away my keys I had a feeling this was a bad idea. They were not sure where to jack the car up because of the batteries underneath. Then I hear them banging near my lug nuts for about 20 minutes. I go outside and ask what the problem is and he tells my my lug nuts are swollen. They give up and give me the car back stating they can’t help me. Upon return inspection I notice they stripped all 5 lug nuts. I mean they are almost round from him using to large of a socket and then pounding. They also chipped the paint in multiple places on my wheel. I literally watched him do the pounding but once I asked the manger what he was going to do since the damaged my car he said nothing and basically walked away. I’ve called corporate and plan on taking this to small claims court. It’s he said she said when I called the police to help me. It’s a civil matter and I plan on handling it that way unless the owner of this place makes it right and quickly. I’m from Cleveland visiting family and an avid car guy. I know my cars every defect as I clean it almost daily. To tell me chips and lugs nuts stripped was like that is a cop out. Do not go here! I can’t believe anyone treats customers this way!

It does not hurt at all that you are always offering coupons to make it so affordable. Thank you for all you do.

2020-10-21Regular customer of Midas on Monroe Street. The service team members are knowledgeable and very helpful. The facilities are clean & neat. The auto work is solid, explained well, and the prices are reasonable. They even price match or beat prices! Theyre honest, customer service-oriented and price competitive. Highly recommend!

2020-03-05I had new tires put on my 2002 CRV last week. When they took off the old tires they noticed my rims were very rusted. They sanded each rim to remove the rust, it was not a quick task but they did it anyway so my tires would seal properly. They also test drove my car on the freeway because I told them I was heading out of town and they wanted to make sure everything was ok. When they test drove the car they noticed a shake in the front driving at high speeds. They took the tires off again and found out the tires were the problem, not the balancing and ordered two new tires. Then they drove me home so I didnt have to wait there, while they waited for the new tires to arrive. They came back and picked me up after the new tires were on and the test drive went well. They all were so kind and very concerned about my safety. I am so grateful for their hard work and attention to detail! It took a bit longer than we planned but when you have an 18 yr old car that can be expected. I was on the road on time that afternoon and my car drove beautifully!! Thank you MIDAS, youre awesome!
