This is by far the best car repair place Ive ever been to. I had them work on my van today and they did an excellent job and everything is great with the van now. Got an alignment done and other things. Amazing customer service, fast service, and they are not just money hungry like the rest of the car places Ive been to. They care about their customers and they will get the job done. I recommend Midas to anyone.
Too high priced and didnt care about the other problems a sensor for 800$ for that should of a new computer instead of a certain little sensor. If you take the car to midas for brakes. They will charge you to do all 4 brakes instead of just what need to be done. Too high dollar of me sorry
I went to this location to have a price check for breaks, rotors, pads they wanted to charge me $1,000 for all 4. Then, they got my dipstick for my oil stuck in the tube & wanted me to pay for it for them to get it out. Wouldn’t recommend unless you want to overpay for a service that could be done cheaper some where else.
Made appt for Friday, they didnt have tires I wanted in stock, agreed to a new tire, appt got moved to Saturday at 1, was told Id be out by 2. Take car in and am told not only do they not have the agreed upon tire in my size but my car wont even be touched until 430-5, agree on new tire, get a call about 3 pm, new tire NOT IN MY SIZE ALSO, and am told the only tire they have is more expensive, I had to go out of town and left money with who was picking up my car, they agreed to use those tires for the previous price which is the only saving grace of this place. Then I get a call between 445-5 telling me I have to be there in 15 minutes to get my car because they close and I wont be able to get it til Monday otherwise, which then I had to blow up the phone of the person I had picking up the car and they had to rush over. Probably will never use them again.
Very negative experience here. My mom had scheduled an 8am appointment to get her brakes and muffler looked at. We dropped the car off and they said 45 minutes and they would call back, they did not, we called them around 10am. They said they did an oil change. We did not ask for an oil change and they didn’t even look at the muffler. They then said they would take it back in and looked at the muffler. They didn’t call back so we called them again around 1. They then gave us a crazy high estimate. We said no and went to pick it up. They never called us at any point, we did all the communication work. They had the car literally all day for an 8am appointment that we called and scheduled days in advance. Horribly run location, an embarrassment to the franchise frankly. Lives up to the negative neighborhood reputation, only wish I had listened. 10/10 do NOT recommend.
If I could choose zero I would. I gave Midas another chance, I took my car in for an inspection and tuneup. They told me that I have a couple of bad coils and spark plugs, I had those repairs done....after spending three and a half hours there and the mechanic working on two cars at once, only for it to run hot on the way home. I called back up to Midas and told them my problem and that the antifreeze was empty after telling me that they topped it off. I was told to bring it back, I took it back the next morning for a free inspection and was told upon picking it up that it didn’t run hot for them and they couldn’t find a problem. I took my car back home only to still have problems....my car was worse than when I took it. I talked to them again and was told to bring it back AGAIN, on my way back it died and had to be towed. After getting another FREE inspection and having to call about my car because no one had gotten back that I had CRACKED HEAD GASKET AND THE REPAIRS WOULD BE $3800. I asked why this wasn’t found during the first or second inspection...or even during the repairs that I paid for and was told some story about how only the front end was checked during an inspection....???????? I reached out to the regional manager and he offered to refund my initial repairs minus the labor and gave me the story about how an INSPECTION REALLY ISNT AN INSPECTION. Don’t make the mistake of trusting Midas with your car.... and don’t make the mistake of trusting them to make it right when they make a mistake.
Exceptionally friendly staff, quality work, and very transparent about work provided. When I was provided with an estimate for a muffler repair, I was given a visual run down in the garage as well. Appointment scheduled and completed same day! The folks here are really passionate about the work they do. I strongly recommend the Midas location for future vehicle service visits
I felt taken advantage of. I went in thinking I needed brakes and rotors which I knew wouldnt be cheap. They called me and told me I wouldnt need rotors just pads and never gave me a price but pads are usually decent priced so no worries... I go to pick my car up and they ring me up and say $430.00....Im looking like WHAT!!! They charge me like $160.00 for the pads and $230.00 for the labor and some fees and taxes.. I just am sick to my stomach because there is no reason labor should cost that much for like an hour of work.. Talk about taking advantage of people! I will never go back here again and advise you to get an estimate before getting any work done here. Word of mouth sucks for people who dont practice good business ethics. Very bad experience!
Breach of warranty and contract rolled my odometer 600 miles forward bunch of Les told my to go to tire discounters for balance that was not required for my vehicle telling me their manager doesnt know what hes talking about on why they would look at it being a subframe screw was loose just left Midas 5 mins ago smdh
Would rate zero if I could. Had a vehicle that intermittent started. Was at work and sent my lady to get a diagnostic. This was right around the time for the 1400 dollar stimulus check and this guy said all kind of stuff was wrong with our car and said for 2400 dollars he would fix everything. Turned out it was a 150 dollar fix and we got it fixed at Tonys on Charles street. Do not do business here
Extremely fast and friendly service, and they didn’t try to make me fix anything that wasn’t broken like most shops I’ve gone to in the past. Really honest and up front, and best price in town by far. Brian did an outstanding job. Will definitely never take my car anywhere else, nothing but compliments!! Great service!!!
Absolutely the worst type of service you would get for the money that you end up spending. I kept telling them the problem I was having and they kept ignoring me. Even though the part I was telling them about was under warranty (an alternator). They refused to replace it or even check it out. Now the alternator has gone out on my vehicle and it’s out of warranty. Past promises made are not honored. Forget these guys. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else.I’ve called and complained multiple times but it’s gone nowhere. They don’t know what they’re doing. Trust me: even if money is tight, spend a few extra dollars at a more consistent and reputable place. With places like this one, cheaper is just cheaper. And you get the service and attention that you pay for.
Professionalism, empathy, and courtesy are qualities I look for when working with auto repair. I took two vehicles into Midas In Middletown OH for pre-purchase inspection- in the morning and then mid-afternoon. I made an appointment for the first vehicle, which turned out to be a borderline lemon. I planned on visiting a 2nd dealership and was told that Midas would be happy to perform another pre-purchase inspection in the afternoon without an appointment. The 2nd vehicle turned out to be in much better shape than the first, with minimal issues and I received sincere advice on cost offers and the estimated cost of service for any concerns they found with the vehicle. John in particular assisted me with both vehicles, and was extremely professional, sincere, courteous, and thorough with a clear no muss, no fuss approach, clearly describing the situation as you would to a 7 year old or your grandmother at Thanksgiving, which was great for me since I am not nearly that knowledgeable about car details. I was extremely grateful, and the 2nd service even being on the house for my troubles making two trips to different dealerships over several hours, and I ended up securing the 2nd car. Thank you to John and the awesome staff!
First time using a place to fix my car other than friends and I must say I am so happy I did. I went in for an oil change and to have a head light fixed. Chris, the manager was a complete professional from the phone call to book my appointment to handing my key back and shaking my hand. He even informed me of some future maintenance I needed. I cant see taking my car anywhere else. Thank you gentlemen!
I just want to say thank you to Chris personally... I brought my trailblazer in because of a rattling sound under my truck and turns out my back drivers sway bar link was loose. They tightened it up for me and was very respectful and all of them had positive attitudes... Very nice people...
I initially went to Midas on a Saturday when my regular provider was closed. Sometimes the things you do in a clutch provide huge dividends. My car was fixed promptly and very reasonably. I decided to give them a second opportunity when my childs BMW wouldnt start. Two separate competitors told me it had a blown head gasket. I was very skeptical as it had just been to the BMW Dealer, but I didnt want to incur the cost of towing it 40 miles. The manager called me and asked had I recently had work done on the car. I explained what was done and he immediately knew what was wrong. He got the car started. It wasnt a head gasket. More importantly, he didnt even charge me! It was a chemical buildup in a chamber which clogged something when my daughter ran it low on gas. I appreciate honesty. And now he has a customer for life!
I purchased 2 new tires for the front of my car got home 2miles and saw that they were rubbing the fender and inside of the car. Obviously too big. They said to bring it back up so I did to be told he couldnt do anything about it his boss would kill him. 6:15 on a Friday and left me in the parking lot with a car I couldnt drive and out $300
Have been using this particular Midas for years. Everyone that I have ever encountered is kind courteous & helpful. They are quick and efficient. I hate going other places, the people are often rude and try to sell you things you dont need. I would recommend this location to anyone who wants the job done quick, and right.
This place was cheap, service was fast, employees were polite. And they was very thorough with my car. They let me know that the tire I bought from Dunns used tires were so bad that I could if wrecked and hurt myself or someone else 😡. Dunns used tires in Middletown is NO GOOD. Midas was wonderful.
The management is great when it comes to customer service. But here is the problem, the workers are...average or below. We brought our vehicle to have the front struts replaced. They did that, but could not figure out where a popping sound was coming from but assured me it was OK to drive home on it. After a few bumps I called (and they had just closed) so I called left a message expressing my distrust of the repair. They brought me back in and a manager informed me a bolt had not been put on correctly (yet it was safe, right?).Fast forward, I took my car for an oil change and tire rotation. My rear rim has a mark on it, so I can easily see (anyone could) if it was rotated. They did the oil change but never rotated the tires. The reason? The wear pattern was even on all four tires, no need to rotate them. I am glad the tread wear is even, but it has been 12,000 miles since I last had them rotated.I think they are good people and most of them try and work hard. But It just seems I always have a little issue every time I have work done there.
I moved to this area a few years ago, prior to that my dad always worked on my car so I knew my family was safe. As a female (not knowing a lot about cars) it is hard to find a place you can trust. After a few times of getting an oil change at this Midas, I met Rob. He is always honest and I know my family is safe after he has worked on my car. Every time I am in this store he is working hard. I appreciate everything he does for us. I will not let anyone else work on my car unless Rob says he trust them. Rob is a true asset to your company.
Chris at Midas in Middletown was great. I walked in at 1:20 and asked if they would help me fix my headlight motor on my 85 Corvette. It was just a small piece that needed fixed and I didnt have the tools. Chris said Give me ten minutes Five minutes later Chris walked out and said here you go. I asked if I could pay and he said dont worry about it! I then said can I venmo you or PayPal and then he still declined. An upstanding guy! Thanks 👍🏼
A customer of mine received an estimate from them for some brake work that totalled over $2200 for something that our shop repaired for $950. And the automotive tech also tacked on a $115 diagnostic fee that had to be paid before they would release the vehicle to us to repair for her because he had to take a wheel off to determine his unrealistic repair estimate. Thanks but no thanks.
Management is very respectful and will make sure you are satisfied. We took our vehicle in for new wheel bearings and tie rods. The day later we had green grease all over the rim. We took the vehicle back and told them there appeared to be a hole in the CV joint. They replaced it the very next day and we had our vehicle back in a day. They truley went beyond measures to make sure we were taken care of. Josh is a such an important part of this establishment.
I went for an oil change. Midas inspects the vehicle and rotates tires as a part of this service. Michael was helpful without trying to trick or pressure me unduly about additional services Ill be needing soon. My budget is tight, and he helped me prioritize upcoming services so I can budget accordingly.
My initial experience with them was excellent. The staff was very friendly. unfortunately a week later I realized they never replaced the cap to my oil and oil had saturated the engine to my 97 camry with 270,000 miles in the middle of January. Although they attempted to make it right due to the negligence on their part I will not be returning.
The new manager is working very very hard to be good for his community and his customers. Customer service is better than anywhere else I have ever taken my vehicle to and all the people that work here want to do right by the customer. Highly reccomend. I would give more stars if I could
My husband was referred to this Midas in Middletown due to issues not being completed at a different Midas. The communication from the manager along with the attention to detail by the mechanic was very impressive. They were right on point with educating me with what may be wrong with my vehicle and not letting me take it until it was totally ready to go. My car now has A/C like it originally had. Thank you Midas in Middletown!
This has been a couple of years ago, however in my case I had brakes done (front) and according to them I bought their best brakes and rotors, calipers were OK. Within a year brakes were shot, rotors gone. Bought a battery from them within that year, it lasted only a year. I couldve went back and complained, but didnt trust things would of been done right. Had my brakes re-done by Bid Als muffler and brake and they are still going strong.
Been having a low tire for a couple months, stopped in without an appointment and they were able to get me in immediately. They found a screw in my tire, repaired it right away & didnt even charge me a dime! I was in shock & still am and. I know where I will be getting all of my future oil changes for life now! I cant thank them enough!!!
I have never had bad service here. They have always been upfront and honest with me. Never had them blow anything out of proportion. Good rewards program as well. I do recommend making an appointment as opposed to walk ins. You will save yourself a lot of frustration, they tend to be busy.
My 6th time here for an oil change. The first 4 times they were very professional. Last time they took forever. Today I called and set an appointment. I dropped it off 20 minutes early. Its now 30 minutes after my appointment and they havent even started. Something has changed, and not for the better
I bought a muffler that had a life time warranty. I needed my tail pipe welded back on when it fell off a few years later but they said they needed to replace my cat back exhaust and it would be $742.00. My catalytic converter is brand new. Eventually they came down to $195.00. I just had a new muffler and tail pipe put on for $160.00 at Rays Muffler. I will only be back to midas one more time to return this 2 year old POS muffler thats rusted out, and raise you know what. Never again. They lost a customer. DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION!
Well I made an appointment for an oil change and when I went the guy said they were 2 hours behind. And I said but I have an appointment. He said well stuff happens and they are behind. I said then what the use of making an appointment of your not going to honor it. So I made another appointment and this time it took about and hour and half to get an oil change. Seemed to me they were on their phones and taking smoke breaks a lot.
I called to get some pricing on replacing both tie rods and compressor and the guy was very nice and helpful, I made an appointment and brought my own parts so basically all I really paid for was (very poor) labor.I get to Midas and drop my car off 10 mins early, my appointment was at 1 pm. Well Im sitting in the parking lot for almost 30 mins before I left and I still didnt see anyone come out to get my car. So they told me they would call me when its finished should take about 2 hours... Meanwhile, Im sitting at home waiting and 6 hours goes by... No call.So I call them, the guy says he doesnt know how much longer maybe an hour or so and theyll call me when theyre done. Ok, Im usually fine with whatever but I had to be to work in 2 hours so Im getting kind of anxious.I call in another hour and they say its another hour! Anyway, I finally get down there to get my car and I pay and get in my car. As Im driving home, the RPM on my vehicle keeps dropping and wanting to die when I stop at red lights or stop signs. And my air is blowing out heavy even though my air is not turned on.... So I get to work fine and then when its time to go home (I work overnight so I got off at 5am) I start my car, get to the first red light and it dies on me!!!They DEFINITELY messed something up because my car was FINE before this!!! It didnt even need the tie rods replaced really, there was only slight movement on one of them but I was just getting it replaced just to be safe and now I cant even be sure my car is going to get me where I need to go SAFELY! Now I have to take it to another shop to see what the heck they did!!!Im sorry to say but I will never be returning and I will be warning others to steer clear.
Great customer service. They will try to up-sell you on things that need done to your vehicle but I think thats part of their job. I always get a list of things that need to be looked at, but nobody has ever tried to give me the impression my vehicle will fall apart if it doesnt get done. Im always glad to know what needs done and can budget for it and bring it back.
I have been here in the past and we recently had a auto towed in here, they are easy, professional , and pleasant to deal with. They call when they say they will call and they are finished when they say they will be finished...a nice change from most places. I highly recommend this location !
The guys at Midas in Middletown went above and beyond for me! My car was getting old and I do a lot of work-related driving and needed a series of repairs over the course of a number of months. Never once did I feel looked down upon because I am a young woman (in her 20s), and never once did I feel as if I were being taken for my money.They were always happy to open up an appointment for me and work with my schedule/needs, even if it meant having to bring my car back each day for a week! They were kind, understanding, and always happy to explain what was going on with my car. They were very attentive and willing to listen to my explainations of what was going on with my car.Recently, I got into a minor wreck and when I took my car in, they explained to me that it would be about $1600 to repair it (the frame was severely bent and needed replacing ). They were incredibly understanding and helpful while I figured out what I wanted to do with it. They let it stay on the lot for a week and even offered to help find people to buy parts off of it!All in all, Ive had a great experience with Midas and I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Ive gone here several times and have almost always had issues. Things are never done in the allotted time they say they will be. A few hour job took two days. After today I wont be bothering with Midas anymore. Made an appt yesterday and dropped it off today. They said it would take aN HOUR AND A HALF for an oil change, even though I had the appointment made. Two hours later I went to pick it up and they had never brought it in.
Its time for my oil change again , but I will not come back here!!!!!I had my oil changed here the last time.They only charged the $20 - per the coupon.I didnt realize until after I left -1st, they did not complete the checklist - it had no info, except my name and TPMS light on was notated.2nd, no reminder sticker placed on the windshield.3rd, they did NOT rotate my tires. Oh, and 4th, had they rotated the tires/ checked the tire pressure (per the checklist!) and added air, my TPMS light would have been off when I picked up my car.I WONDER DID THEY CHANGE THE OIL?
I must say this is the only place I trust with my car the saved time and money they were honest with me didnt try and screw me over like other places. After taking my car to a place near my job which diagnosed my with a bad starter which was not the problem they took a lot at my and with in ten minutes they found out it was my fuel pump and i fixed it in one day they are amazing and wont go to anyone else these group of guys! Thank you guys so much!!!
Friendly,timely, and very curtious . Tried to take my dad to the cleaners. Their quote $1200. Took car to Rays Muffler and had it repaired for $125.00. Price gouging the elderly and women. Guess you saw us coming. Im not stupid and I knew dad did not need a catalitic converter. You should be ashamed of yourself.
The management location has changed fairly often recently and your service may be reflected in the change. sometimes service is good, and the mechanics are thoural but most of the times you are treated like the next notch on the totem pole, the next clip board to be processed and wrung for as much money as possible. dont expect mechanics to go that extra step, never except that the first price is the actual price, and dont be afraid to say youll go next door to the little bible thumper mechanic next door for better price and service!
Allen the assistant manger was very helpful and made sure all my Concerns and problems was taking care of with my car I will definitely be coming back to do business with Midas just because of him he was so polite and made sure I left a very happy customer Thank you so much.
Absolutely horrible. I have been coming here for several years always recommend and bring in customers for them. I have had three appointments that I have waited 3+ hours for an OIL CHANGE after having an appointment. I will now be going elsewhere after the third time of being disappointed. So sad, you have now lost 10+ customers.
Im a guide and havent even taken my vehicle to this place yet will be there tomorrow morning kind of worried about being overcharged or upsold on things maybe not needed will give honest review after I see what they have to say if you read my reviews you will see Im very honest on what I post I hope not to experience what others has and hope to give this place a good post my review after this will be under another person obviously because you can only post review once but I have several at my disposal so read up in the morning and get a honest review
The staff was friendly .I just went in for a oil change and tire rotation.I asked them before they started if they could check my water in the radiator.He said yes.After everything was done he told me everything i needed to get done on my car.It had been setting for awhile so i new it needed work.so i asked the guy if he put water in the radiagtor.He said to me i could check it and add water to the reservoir .So he pulled my car out and i was ready to leave when i noticed all my tires were low i thought they would add air since they were rotated.i said my tires look low he grabbed the air house filled the drivers side tire up and walked away..All four tires needed air..I am just upset .I am sick and have a hard time doing things..

2022-07-08I ordered a tire one week ago and told it would be in Saturday by 10:00 am so I didnt hear back from them since I stopped by their store at 11 am Saturday and they told me they would call when the tire was in, and it has been 1 week and I still havent heard or received a phone call. Not to worry, Tire Discounter had it in stock and had me done in twenty minutes. So Im no longer a customer and will encourage my family and friends not to deal with Midas.

2022-07-08My car broke down in Middletown Ohio it was towed to this Midas on Roosevelt Boulevard. The guys are amazing diagnosed what was wrong had to have it towed back to Michigan. Kody was amazing trying to help me find a rental car and Austin took me and my brother to pick up our rental. They went above and beyond customer service

2021-11-28Theyve always done a great job with my car. My car has had bad brakes for years, despite getting fixed/replaced a number of times at other places. I finally brought it to Midas and havent had any problems since. Their oil changes are quick and easy. The mechanics are always really nice and explain whats going on pretty well, and I feel like the prices are really fair.

2022-02-21A friend of mine took his truck to have his brake line replaced. This is the work that was done and refuse to fix it. This shop should fix this problem and give his money back.

2021-09-24I took my vehicle in for sopping wet passenger floorboards. They said it was sunroof. They replaced seal and still have wet floorboard but headliner has never been wet. Took in again, was supposed to be quick check, that day and they had it for over 24 hours and still hadnt been looked at. Demanded my vehicle be returned and was given an attitude. My repairs were done and paid for. Why was I treated that way after the work had been paid for?

2022-02-19I had my tires brough in to change and they leaked air the day i left.. Then i tried to get them to reseal they told me it wad my fault my rims were bad.. Took them to tire discounters and they cleaned the rims and reseated the beads and have had no isses..I referred a friend there and on feb 19th they blew up the motor in her car and trjed to charge her 3500 to fix it this place is garbage donot go here

2021-09-21Took my truck in 27 days ago. I needed them to fix my ignition which started but sometimes it took 3 tries. They said it was my starter and I told them I had a new one put on just a couple weeks before bringing it to them. So next time I hear from them it needed programed by a technician who is an independent. For 3 weeks they told me every day he would be coming today. They have lied to me and I still dont have my truck. They dont call me to let me know about my truck. They make me call about every 2 or 3 days just to hear the same story, hell be hear tomorrow. SO UPSET AND DISCUSTED
