Jim and Austin went above and beyond to help me with my flat tire. They really listen to your situation and only charge you what you need and what you agree on . I really appreciate the help given. I appreciate getting a quote for maintenance before it is done so I am not surprised. And they went above and beyond with lending me a ride backto work during the maintenance. Couldnt ask for better help 💯💯🔥🔥
I took my newly acquired car to Midas to get the maintenance package and mentioned to them several times that an awful smell was coming from the vents and wanted to figure out what it was. They said they couldnt find a source of the smell and I specifically asked if the air filters were fine and they said yes. I later was taking out the cabin air filter of the car and it was gross. There was clear signs of a mouse nest with insulation and mouse droppings. I was horrified since they said my filters were fine. They clearly did not look at all in the filters and lied to me. 2 stars since Ive gotten oil changes there before and they were fine, but I will never go back here after this.
My visit was amazing as always. Derek went out of his way to go and pick up two tires from a supplier early in the morning for me. I didnt even have an appointment. He said come on over and hell take care of my car. And he sure did. He was not expecting a delivery until the afternoon. My son had to be in Pittsburgh to see a neurosurgeon early the next morning. I had a nail in each back tire. Derek saved the day so that we could be in Pittsburgh on time for hospital appointments. Derek and his team are amazing and that is why the whole family goes there.
I had an amazing experience at this Midas with John. I brought in a vehicle for a used car inspection that I was thinking about purchasing and I am so glad I brought it to this Midas.They got us in right away and were very friendly. John went out of his way to perform an extremely thorough inspection that saved me from buying a lemon vehicle.Thank you John for helping me out and for your incredible customer service!!
I love this place, they have always been able to squeeze me in whenever I have a problem pop up with my car. I have been going to this Midas for almost four years now and they have always been super nice and friendly. They get my car fixed quickly and they charge me a fair price. They have always been honest about what needs fixed and how soon it needs fixed which is good for someone like me who knows absolutely nothing about cars. I would definitely recommend using this store!
Bought tires from here a year ago and recently got a flat. I brought the car in and they found the leak, sealed it, and replaced the spare free of charge and within 30 minutes. Not sure how much this would’ve cost me (in time and money) but they now have a loyal customer!
We purchased tires for my van a few months ago and purchased the hazard insurance because I have the worst luck with tires. A few months later we were out of town and pierced a hole in the tire. They worked with us and a local shop so that we were able to get a tire and still have it covered under the insurance, despite being out of town. They are always so polite and professional, and the manager Derek is also extremely helpful! I would for sure recommend this location!!!
The whole team at this Midas location are absolute lifesavers! It doesn’t matter what the request they are always there with a smiling face and happy to help out. They are my first place to call anytime that something is going on with my car and I’m just so thankful to have found people that I trust and that give me amazing customer service and also a fantastic value!Derek should get a raise for the way that he builds rapport with each person who walks through the door and making sure you fully understand what’s going on with your car.

Brakes started creaking. Took it in, the techs did a thorough inspection, apparently nothing was wrong with it. Derek was really cool, didn’t charge me a dime. They were slammed but they got me in and out in less than a day. Definitely going back if my truck ever has issues.
I made a last minute appointment on a short notice because I was in desperate situation and MAN did these guys come in absolute clutch!!! Derek was the most professional, helpful, and kind man and made the whole process simple and easy to understand. Being a young woman, I fear being taken advantage of car places and quite frankly, am used to being overcharged and treated like I’m dumb. These guys were respectful and beyond fair with their pricing. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH. I won’t be going anywhere else without stopping in here first.
Great customer service! Im not from around the area, but I really needed an emergency shield repair underneath my car last week and I was able to quickly make an appointment for the next day, had my car in the garage right on time, and they did not charge me for a simple fix. Have had 2 great experiences with them the last 2 months and will definitely be bringing my car back if I need a repair/maintenance.
Today my car unexpectedly gave out right before turning on the highway. I took a chance and walked over to the shop in hopes that I could get help and these men went UP AND BEYOND for me! Not only did they help me safely get my car out of road during rush hour, due to my deafness/hearing impairment they helped me converse of the phone, was able to troubleshoot my car troubles, and we’re just kind, informative, helpful, and supportive. They handled my tears well. I’m so so so so so appreciative of this team and I will be switching my oil change company to this specific location, thanks guys! 😇.
This is my go-to place for oil changes, flat tires, maintenance issues… as a young female, it can be tough to find a shop you can trust and who treats you with respect. These guys are always honest with me and talk to me like I’m a competent adult even though I know nothing about cars. I appreciate them so much!
My daughters car lost all power on I71 and had to be towed to this Midas location. From the first contact to paying the bill, Derek and his staff went above and beyond in their communications and thoroughness. Repairs consisted of new alternator, new battery and new battery sensor and all the work was done quickly and efficiently. Derek even said they did an overall check of the car for any other issues and reassured us it was in good working order. I would highly recommend this Midas location and we will definitely use them again for future work. If you talk to Derek you are in good hands.
Derek was very professional by explaining the positives and negatives of my brake system, what needed fixing and what did not. He was able to review my cars repair history to check for any possible still under warranty parts which helped me stay under my budget and kept the total cost less than the quotes from two other competing repair shops. There was also no upselling of other products/services except for the option to get a midas credit card. I went in for a brake repair and it was done quickly and was relatively inexpensive. Will continue to use this location for future repairs.

I would take my car here for anything. Derek runs the place and he is dedicated to his customers. He is honest, fair and has reasonable rates. I will always bring my car here for oil changes to any kind of auto repair that is necessary. I drive from Westwood because I know I wont be taken advantage.
Its been years, and life in a small town, since I met a service center staff that tells you not to get a brake job, or spend money with them, at this time. Another facility told me the rear brakes were at the end of life and needed replaced immediately. They couldnt get me in. This Midas center could, inspected the brakes, cleaned them to eliminate the grinding noise and advised the pads have ~50% life let. A truly honest facility manager and staff.
Incredible! Stopped by Midas on Smith Road in Cincinnatis Hyde Park neighborhood... Wife had a small tire problem, she picked up a nail and her front left needed a plug. I was promptly helped by Derek Davis, the stores manager. I just cant say enough good things about this auto service PRO and his staff! Had us on the road in 5 minutes FLAT (no pun intended ;-)... And, the best part... I asked to pay out... His response... No charge my friend, we got you!! In this day and age its amazing and so very refreshing to get this degree of personal service, caring attitude and attention to detail! Trust me, take your car in to Derek Davis at Midas, Smith Rd. for the FINEST auto and customer service in Cincinnati! Thanks so very much Derek! I called three other shops and none had time to see my car until almost closing. I called Midas and they took my info and told me to bring it in. Derek got my car in right away and was able to diagnose my C/E light was for a broken serpentine belt. My car was in and out within two hours.Derek and his team are amazing! Ill be coming to his shop with any future car issues for sure!
Derek and the team are all professionals. My Grand Prix had a variety of problems. They were really respectful and provided quick, excellent service. They fixed er up nicely. Ive been to several Midas locations before, and though Ive never had a bad experience at any of them, this shop stands out as the best.
When I first moved to Cincinnati, after having a bad experience with another shop, I started coming here and have kept my business here ever since. The manager takes his time explaining the issues and the options for repairs, and is very honest about all the options. They arent the type of shop that makes you pay without answering your questions to rush you out the door as quickly as possible, which I very much appreciate. Will keep my business here as long as I live in Cincinnati.
I had called Midas this morning I needed a fast break change with a quick service and good pricing I had called everywhere and they were all way overpriced and could not fit me in in a timely manner however Midas in Norwood went above and beyond my expectations the guy at the front desk was so courteous and gave me a great price I would recommend anyone go to this Midas They brought me in immediately fixed my brakes showed me what was wrong so there was no questioning gave me a fair price and sent me on my way I was so happy with their service I will from now on be taking all of my cars to Midas in Norwood thank you all so much for the great service
My first experience here and it was fast, easy, and reasonably priced. Derick the manager was so kind and helpful and made the process so much easier. I came in after I had gotten a flat tire, and although they couldnt fix my flat (which they do for free) they set me up with new tires that were in such good condition and so reasonable. I am so satisfied with the customer service and quality of product–I will be back!
Midas provides professional and personalized service. I trust Derek to be honest and fair with me. He has taken care of 3 of my vehicles and when my daughter purchased her car, I referred her to Derek as well. Dereks relationship building skills is what will keep this Midas in business when others may fail.
I had a punctured tire and needed a routine oil change for my company car. I was able to book an appointment online because it was a Sunday but I called first thing Monday morning and the manager Derek was incredibly helpful. He was able to get my car in early and they had the new tire I needed in stock. I was in an out in about an hour. I definitely plan on coming back for future work.
As I waited today for a new tire, I watched how professional the manager was in dealing with a ignorant customer who was clueless on social distancing during COVID-19. Repeatedly the manager had to tell him in a polite assertive manner that he needed to stand behind the glass as he wanted to lean on the counter to the side of the glass on the phone, repeatedly the customer wanted to walkout in the service area when there was a big sign saying not to, and the customer demanded the manager talk to the caller on the phone who supplied the credit card for the payment of service as the manager had to point out the need for precautionary measures and social distancing, all while trying to be as efficient and professional as possible while a line was beginning to form. I had a simple tire replacement today, but will return because I am very impressed with the way the manager handled himself in a stressful situation and am disappointed in how some individuals are treating workers during these tough times.
Recently got new tires from here but I drove over a nail and got a flat...Arrived at the store as soon as they opened with a flat tire. The store manager looked at my car and repaired my tire within 30mins. He nicely did this free of charge because I am a repeat customer. Very thankful they could fix my tires fast so I could get on with my day!! 10/10 would recommend.
Derek and his staff fixed my exhaust and replaced my catalytic converter quickly and efficiently. He and the staff were very nice and and did an amazing job helping me understand what was wrong with my car so that I could feel like I was getting the right repairs done. Derek was polite and nice to every customer who came in while I waited. I’m relieved that my 2.5 cylinder has quit doing its Harley Davidson impression.
Derek and his team have always been reliable with good service for both of my car children. Derek takes the time to explain whats needed. Wether it is my younger car or my nearly 30 year old car, all at Midas do their best with each one so both cars and myself are quite happy!

Derek gave me a fair rate and also explained the process throughout them fixing my vehicle. In addition, they found some extra things throughout as well and explained why or why not it was important. The staff stayed late to get it done making sure I could have it for work in the morning. Would recommend. Derek runs a nice ship there!
I have gone to Midas on Smith Rd. for multiple things for my Ford Escape and they are prompt and always take great care of me. The manager goes above and beyond and all of the employees give stellar customer service. I have had nothing but positive experiences each time I’ve gone to Midas and recommend this location!
We had a great experience. They were friendly, professional & efficient. They got us in early and were done in less than 30 min. Maybe the best part was the price. My car uses synthetic oil and requires a special filter wrench but they were prepared and it was $55 before my $15 dollar off coupon I got on line. Thanks guys!
I live downtown and I come to this location because I feel really taken care of. The manager and the staff are all friendly and respectful. They always ask my permission before making any changes to my car. Such as, I went to get my tire pressure checked, and I had a bent rim that was affecting the tire pressure. They asked me to make sure that I wanted that done, and gave me the price. I also wanted wiper blades and they gave me the type and price, checking with me before they changed them out. I feel really taken care of here and that’s why I come back!
Manager Derek and crew were extremely professional, honest, and easy to work with. I had an issue with my rear brakes/rotors which they were able to diagnose and repair in a timely manner at a much more affordable cost compared to the dealer. I would definitely recommend this Midas to others. ~Tim
Staff was friendly but im not sure they really know what they are talking about... Went in bc my tire went flat & wouldnt hold air. They checked it & said it had a nail in it & that it was fixed. I asked the guy if i would need a new tire, he tells me no with confidence. So i get on the highway & head back to mason 25 min away, i pull into kroger & my tire is flat again... Long story short- there was never a nail in my tire, the outside of my tire had a small hole that wouldnt allow my tire to hold air meaning I needed a new tire immediately. Took it to Discount Tire off fields ertle rd, they are the best & they actually know what they are talking about!
Derek was very helpful and I saw him actively try to give a few customers the best deal he could. The staff were all polite and quick to work. Would highly recommend. However, I would highly not recommend the Midas on Reading road. The manager there was very rude and turned me down.
The previous owner of my 13 M3 had installed a muffler shop special exhaust on my car and it droned so badly on the highway that I swear I was getting tinnitus, something had to be done! With OEM exhaust in hand and a couple of clamps I set out to do it myself. Side note, I dont trust people to work on my cars. Well, a few broken clamps later and not wanting to crawl around on the ground under my car with an angle grinder - I called Midas. I had read reviews that Derek (the manager) at this particular location was an all around good guy and would take care of me; this was absolutely the case for me as well. With no appointment, he and his team had my old exhaust swapped out in under an hour and the utmost care was taken with my vehicle. As I said, I dont generally let other people work on my cars, but these guys are an exception. I absolutely recommend this location.
I dropped off a set of wheels and tires to be mounted. They completed the work quickly and on short notice. But all 4 wheels were scratched by their tire mounting machine.**Update**I went to this location yesterday to have them perform a simple job. Pressing in and out wheel bearings on an already removed knuckle. I was quoted 1.5 shop hours, which is around $172.5. I knew that price was ridiculous and called the shop manager out on it and he was unwilling to budge. I reached out to a small shop 5 minutes away who was able to do the same job for only $50.I highly advise anyone going here to be weary of the prices they quote you. Had I not known better I would have been stuck paying over 3 times what I should have for the work I needed done.
Came here because I was having issues with my vehicle’s A/C. They said there were no major issues and just recharged. Within 2 hours the A/C was not working again, so I made another appointment later the same day. Went there at my appointment time, only to be told they don’t have time to look at it and fix their mistake. Said they called and left a voicemail, but there is no record of that whatsoever on my phone. Had a good initial impression that turned sourly disappointing.
I have never been treated so professionally and honestly..Derek worked me in early for an oil change and other potential work.I chose not to have some things done, but after leaving, realized that the work to be done was very reasonable and important.He made certain that the work was done at the best price possible and by the end of the day.Thank you, Derek and staff...Very impressed.
DO NOT GET ROBBED!! Derek, the manager at this Midas, is only there to make money off of you, not to help you fix your car. I went in because my car was overheating and leaking coolant. I told him this and when they looked it over, I was told it was my radiator. It was going to cost about $540 with him giving me a discount for it not needing to be flushed because it was so empty (how nice I thought). When I didnt have the money, he worked his hardest to successfully convince me to fix it by agreeing that I could pay part now and part when I got paid next. Again, I thought how nice. I even went that night and paid in full because I was able to get the rest of what I owed. The day I picked it up, it was running normal in the morning but by my commute home it was running hot again and leaking coolant from the same area as before. I towed it back to Midas and Derek informed me that it was now my water pump, which would be over another $500 to fix. As a certified mechanic, Midas and Derrick should have tested my radiator system to see if there were other leaks to inform me about or at least should have tested my car after putting in the new radiator to ensure it was not leaking. I made my decision to fix the radiator based on their knowledge that it would fix the overheating issue(the reason I came in in the first place). A GOOD mechanic makes sure to check and inform their customers of what actual repairs are needed before they pay for it. Derrick and Midas did not do this. So now, Im stuck with debt on my credit card and a useless, non-operational car. I would recommend a local mechanic to a commercialized shop because profits are all that matters at places like Midas.
I went t Midas on Saturday May 12th because I needed my AC fixed, they were friendly, fast and fixed the problem, Ice Cold air now blowing out my vents. Jason the manager was great. He explained what the problem was and was able to get the parts needed to fix it the same day. I really appreciate the great customer service. You rarely see any real customer service these days much less it be excellent. I will bring both mine and my husbands cars here from now on. I usually have a lot of anxiety when taking my car to get service done as I feel I am being bamboozled and worry that I am being taken advantage of. I did not feel that way at Midas ( 4011 Smith Road location) just friendly, knowledgeable staff. Thank you!!!!
Seen the sign for a 20 dollar tire rotation and oil change. Normally dont trust any places with my vehicle but my car dealership but knew i needed an oil change. Scheduled an apt and Derek was super nice. I ended up showing up late and they still seen me. Didnt express any frustration. Everyone was smiling and nice. Greeted us with a smile an let us know what was going on with our vehicle. We had a hole in our tire which derek an his team repaired free of charge. After my tire rotation and oil change, we were told our balance was terrible an they would love to fix that for us as well. Only fourty extra bucks which was worth it. His attitude is what really made the sale though. Outgoing, Smiling, Descriptive, and considerate. While waiting for my balancing to be done, I was watching derek with other customers as well. He had the same outgoing attitude and an older woman with a cane was having her car looked at an showed up early for her apt.. Upon calling her name she went to stand up an he told her she was fine she didnt need to stand if she didnt want to(noticing the woman looked to be in some bit of pain) That is truly going above and beyond for your customer. Even something so small. All the crew in the garage seemed to be working hard! And the garage looked clean for well, a car garage. Lol. Very nice team there. And highly recommend them. I definitely will be returning ro derek for further upkeep/maintenance/ repair to my brand new kia. I will need tires and breaks soon. An derek promises to beat my price on tires and quality! The whole crew deserves a raise. Glad i decided to stop in an give Midas a shot. First time customer was not disappointed.
While my service from the crew was quick and efficient. And I had every reason to come back to this Midas for my next oil change I quickly had my mine changed when one of their employees went into my file and got my name and added me on Facebook to hit on me right after I left. This is an invasion of privacy and very unsafe practice. I will not be returning because I feel violated. Which is sad because I would’ve returned.
On May 9, I took my truck to Midas because my exhaust system had suddenly gotten noisy, but I couldnt find the source of the breach. I explained this to Derek, the store manager, and he got the truck on the rack within 15 minutes, as promised. The technician quickly found the source of the breach. He and Derek came up with a highly cost-effective repair and got my OK on it. The repair was completed very close to the hour that was estimated. I drove away with a quiet truck and a very high opinion of the kind of shop Derek runs for Midas. It couldnt have been better.
We were very dissatisfied with our experience at the Norwood Midas. We went to get a thermostat repaired. The service was slow, after 2 hours we passed and the car was sitting with the hood open. Two hours later the car was in the same spot. It had been done for hours, and they did not call as they had promised. Not to mention the repair cost twice as much as expected. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone.
Made a same-day appt over the phone for 3pm. Got there and stated my name and other contact info and the worker said I wasnt in the system. I assured him assertively that I did indeed do it over the phone and not online (as sometimes, online is inaccurate). It was moderately busy and they seemed well staffed, I think. He was super apologetic and squeezed me in. I was out of there in less than an hour for my oil change, which was the most reasonably priced quote that I discovered in the area. Im very happy with their professionalism, service, and adaptability :)
I made an appointment for a basic oil change and had such a great encounter with all of the staff there. The wait was pleasant and not long at all. They were honestly the nicest people! And I appreciate the fact that they dont try to take advantage of me by adding stuff on without talking about it first. Definitely will be going there regularly.
The team recommended I completely replace my transmission. I took it to another place for a second opinion. They fixed the car without replacing the transmission.Also, I was charged a $70 diagnostic fee since my car was towed to their place. I spoke with the same person on the phone 3 times before coming in and he didnt let me know about this charge. The person told me its just one of things that you should know. He then proceeded to offer me a discounted price because he didnt tell me about it. Finally, he ended up tearing up the receipt and telling me I was all set. I walked away not paying which was nice but I was really confused about what was happening. He also said he told my wife about the charge over the phone and he never did.Im not really sure how the diagnosis of getting a new transmission was made. The place I took my car for a second opinion said they couldnt even look at the car because the suspension was shot which Midas totally didnt even mentions. Also, the price they offered for a brand new transmission was untouchably lower than what other mechanics have told me and the price reflected a used transmission / junkyard price. Saying I needed a new transmission (which is a huge cost) when that wasnt the issue is strange.Summary: Said I needed a new transmission, turned out I did not. Charged me $70 diagnostic without telling me (and I cant even tell if the car was actually looked at). Just weird business/ interactions all around.
Have been taking my car here for 1.5 years now and have had nothing but great experiences. Have NEVER received bad information or felt like they were trying to get me to pay for unnecessary repairs/services. Recently got a free tire patch too! Highly recommend this location.
This Midas location has new management. I was on my way to work when I noticed (to my horror) that two of my tires on my brand new Kia were completely flat. Thankfully, Midas was close and I made it. The wonderful, hard-working staff fit me in their already packed Friday afternoon and took care of both my tires in record time. So happy with the service I received and Ill be going back for all my vehicle needs!
Took my car in for an oil change. They were clearly very busy at the time, and they informed me that an oil change would be a few hours. They were able to get everything done in an hour. Reasonable price for the service and no attempts to upsell me on services or products I did not need.
We work on our own cars, but do not have the ability to do our own alignments at this time, so we brought our truck down the street to this location to get an alignment done. We received the truck back with the alignment completely off, not even close. Not only that, they stole our valve stem caps and the lugnuts were still loose. You guys had ONE job.
I took my car here after my brakes suddenly broke. They were very kind and polite at the desk. After looking over my car they quoted me at over $200 to replace the master cylinder, $180 for labor, and $60 to clear out the hydraulic fluid, and taxes, which all came to $495.51. I thought that seemed a bit steep, so I did some research online.They were clearly trying to cheat me by at least $100! When I asked them more specifically about these costs they could not explain why it was so high compared to my research for this type of repair. Suddenly, they miraculously found someone had accidentally added unneeded labor costs to my account and agreed to lower my price by $40. I politely declined their business and slowly drove my car to Bob Sumerel near Kroger and got my car fixed there within hours for $365.Do not agree to any work at this place without prior research! I think its likely they tried to cheat me and they would probably do the same to you. When I was drilling them on the high costs, and why certain repairs were necessary, they also tried to intimidate me by implying I was too dumb to understand how my car works. I dont look it, but Im a mechanical engineer. Any girl who goes here should be careful about being cheated! Good luck, I hope you find somewhere honest to get your car issues fixed.
Overrated, prices are high in my opinion. The manager kept saying Im just trying to be honest with you without me challenging him at all which seem deceptive idk. Ultimately $660 for brake lines bleed, calipers switch from one side to the other and lug nuts removal and replaced smh
Saw their sign advertising oil change and tire rotation for $19.99 and got an appointment the next day! There were no hidden charges or extra fees. And they do a thorough underbody check! (Turns out I needed new rear brakes and shocks! But no pressure at all to have them fix it immediately.) I was in and out in 45 minutes!
Never taking my truck here again. Spent over 800 dollars for multiple things on my chevy S10. One of the more important things I emphasized on was the alignment. Paid for it, they told me they did it. Then today when I go and get new tires somewhere else turned out they didnt even do the alignment at all! All the did was straighten up the steering wheel, which everywhere else did for free. So they charged me for a service I did not receive and told me they did it. Definitely not using them again
Great work done on my car, and I am thankful for that. I just couldve done without one of the employees stealing my auxiliary cord out of my car. This location needs to be on their employees. My fiance called to report it to them and they never contacted us back. The person that answered the phone pretty much dismissed it. I will be taking my service to another, more professional, location.Watch your employees, please! Do NOT let them steal from your customers!!!
Great Service! I was referred there by someone and was not disappointed. Brad, the manager, and rest of the staff were friendly. Out of all the service garages in Cincinnati, the only one that emailed me back with a quote. Got there when they opened and was done in the estimated time. Hot fresh coffee and clean restroom. They did not try to find other things to make money on, only told me what it needed now. I decided to spend the extra money to get the other caliper replaced even though it did not fail like the one. Recommend making an appt since they are busy due to their fine reputation. Ill be back for normal maintenance and repairs with both my vehicles.
I had an appointment this morning for an oil change but I woke up late and rushed to the appointment without stopping to get gas, despite knowing I was almost out.The oil change was completed within the hour quoted to me, but when I started my car I noticed the oil change light on the dash was still flashing. I went in and grabbed someone but when I tried to start my car again, no dice. I had run out of gas!The manager of the shop drove me to the nearest gas station, helped me get situated with a borrowed gas can, filled up the can and took me back to my car. After filling my tank (and then restarting my battery since it had died in the meantime), he reset my oil light and sent me on my way!The whole team was super nice and never made me feel bad or embarrassed for what is obviously a very dumb*ss mistake on my part. I so appreciated the help!
I have the tire icon showing up in my dashboard I went there they told me you need sensor after they change the sensor I still have the sign I went back to them the Manager Derek told me you have to drive it for a little bit,after two weeks I went back.The guy Jason says you have to do a program at the dealer they should tells me before, we can do the sensor but you have to take it to the dealer to do the program. and then I will decide to do it or not but they don’t tell me thatthey charge me $130 for nothing
You dont want to know what I have to say but lets say most of the guys here are evil and racists and Im pregnant and their supervisor said my motor was knocking and wasnt and refused to give me an oil change. I went to a different mechanic they said midas is on b.s..the tall fat guy with the brown hair at the front desk was rude as hell. I did not like his vibes Not to worry........not good for money. I did sales for years and was a top producer if anything theyre driving money away. As a customer I was more than happy to take my money else where. There are a few good guys who work at this location maybe 3 or 4 its like 20 guys that work there.....
Honestly the most incompetent staff I’ve ever met. Went in for a tire rotation and oil change. They tell me everything’s great on my car, in particular my breaks. After my tire rotation my one tire started making some noise so I took it back in, LESS than a week later. For them to not take me seriously and then tell me I need new brakes? Also it’s the 21st century and girls are capable of knowing about a car. Very sexist establishment. When I was originally there I was told my boyfriend should be taking care of my car not me. Please save your money and go somewhere with a more skilled staff.
My first experience of Midas was in Chicago, IL. The customer service was exceptional. The manager continually went above and beyond to meet my needs. When I moved to Cincinnati, I sought out another Midas. The Smith Rd location was closes to me. During my second visit, my vehicle needed new struts. The manager (Derek Davis) offered me options and provided personal advise. Long story short, I was indisposed and Derek accommodated my needs with true professionalism and speed. The Midas in Chicago ignited my loyalty; the one in Cincinnati solidified it.
Ever since we moved to Cincinnati we have taken our cars there, everyone there is super helpful and friendly. It’s nice to be able to go to a repair shop and trust that will not over charge or do unnecessary repairs. Definetly recommend everyone to go to Midas on Smith Rd.
Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else in Cincinnati. My car had been running perfect- I had driven nearly 1000 miles in the last week with no problems whatsoever. I saw the promotional discount for oil changes. Looked like a good deal so I took my car there. Lo and behold, my car now has all these problems and Im not sure they even changed the oil since I checked the oil level and it is VERY low right after the visit. Not to mention the up-selling and scare tactics (I was told if I didnt have a certain work done- they quoted me almost $850- my car had a chance of exploding while driving). I got the work done at a different shop for a fraction ($225 total) of what Midas was quoting. If they think you are an easy target, youre in trouble. If not, I guess you should be OK. Why take that chance?
Had a flat tire Tuesday, AAA changed it over. Came and saw these guys at 5:30pm Tuesday, dropped the tire off for an 8:00 appt the next morning. No puncture, they took care of me, put the tire back on free of charge. I probably wasted 45 minutes of their labor over all and they didnt charge me, despite me offering. Outstanding customer service. Thanks Midas.
I drive for Uber and Lyft and always use Midas. I love this location particularly because they let me know of upcoming needs ahead of time with no pressure to get things done. They always tell me why the are recommending a job and what the dealer recommends for routine maintenance. They also will always give me a printed price list so I can plan ahead. Really appreciate their knowledge and professionalism!
Was told id have my truck back next day. Didnt have it back until two days later. When i went to pick my truck up they had turned my light bar on and drained the battery also found out that it wasnt the first time they played with the light bar either they had it on before that as well and also drained the battery and turned my cargo lights on and left them on. My battery is now junk after being completely drained twice and all i was offered to help was a jump. Ill never be back poor service and no respect for others vehicles.
After 5 calls to this location, I made an online appointment & received a confirmation email and call however when I got there to drop my car, they had conveniently lost my appointment. I asked several times whether if I left my car there they would work on it for me to pick it up on Monday morning at 730AM. 3 of the men, said that would be fine and I could pick up my car first thing monday morning...exactly why I left my car over the weekend. Come Monday morning, my car had not been worked on. It felt as though, if you do not wait for your car they do not work on it until last minute. After 3 years of loyalty between my husband & I, I am dissapointed at this glitch!
Went for oil change and tire rotation,left truck there ,asked them two times if tire rotation was free and I wanted it. I received a call to pick truck up ,I asked did they rotate tires,they said yes .I came to pick up truck ,then asked about my tires being rotated,they said yes,so I paid and headed home,on the way I remembered I have locks on my tires ,they dont have a key to take my tires off to rotate them ! Lol ! I will watch them next time !
RIP OFF ALERT!!!!!!!!!!These guys will rip you off, do not use them...I took my car here for a quote to have the two rear mufflers cut off and straight pipes installed where the mufflers were.They quoted me 3 hours labor @$100ph to do the job, so $300. Id already had this job done on a previous car and knew it only took 30mins to do. I questioned the manager who claimed it took 3hrs, and he was trying to sell me his BS story that it was a difficult job.I ended up having another shop cut the mufflers off and install new Magnaflows(supplied by me) for $75 instead.
First review ever and Ive decided to do so because others need to be WARNED of Midass work. I took my car here due to convenience of location and available coupons/discounts, however in the long run it wasnt worth it. Two major incidents caused me to write this. 1) they said they changed my transmission fluid, but didnt and I found out through another shop. I went back and told them, they had a B/S reason why they didnt do it and then did it for free = fair enough but not trustworthy.2) I paid over $700 for brake work and find out 7 months later from a different mechanic that they never replaced the rotors or calipers and I paid to have them replaced again. This time I was out of the warranty period and couldnt go back to them.Please beware, these guys are not trustworthy and want to get all that they can out of you (i.e. they make commission off of their total sales).
Went for air and no one came out to help after waiting, ended having to call because sign said free air possible flat fix during business hours so you dont know if there was a switch inside because the just opened. Whomever answered the phone was like its always on still didnt come and assist to top it off the sensor for low air in tire didnt turn off.
I came back to my car and the tire was FLAT. So I switched to my spare which I have a Jeep so its the same tire. I go straight here after googling the closest tire place. Told them what happened and fully expected to buy a whole new giant after stock tire. He took one look and said its a nice looking tire, let me see about patching it for free. I am dumbfounded.. he points to the giant sign clearing saying FREE TIRE REPAIR. Oh. Sure enough he patches it, puts it back on and I am on my way. Free. I was fully vulnerable to take advantage of and he was so nice and made me feel silly! My mom taught me nothing in life is free. Well, my mom was wrong!!
I took my car here after I had gotten a flat. They were all ready to patch it up until I mentioned that I had used fix-a-flat. The mechanic started complaining about how hard it was to remove and then made excuses as to why he couldnt use a patch (excuses that were later confirmed to be BS by other mechanics). Eventually they refused to do it and I took my car elsewhere. Very unprofessional.
These guys are amazing. Always honest with me and have never overcharged me. Sometimes it’s hard to find a shop who doesnt treat you like you’re stupid because you’re a woman, but they treat me like everyone else and answer whatever questions I have. Eric is always the best and everyone there is great. I can’t recommed them enough!
Really great service! Employees were extremely polite and professional. They werent like other shops just trying to make money. They only fixed what I actually needed to fix and just gave me a heads up for things that could be a problem in the future. Was really happy to finally find a place I can trust.
Ive taken a couple of my cars here and it always seems less good for more money. Ive even given it to chance that i was just wrong on some things,Recently ive had my friend take her car here. The location is very close and convient but after a medium sized repair the car now has numerous other things wrong, they say, that has nothing to do with what they worked on. (fuel pump) despite going over a few other parts that can be fixed very easily by even a layperson, that has to do with this type of issue, Midas refuses to really go over it again and make sure they didnt miss something.The Check Engine light keeps comming on and the code reads low fuel pressure when checked at other places. Oh! and dont bother bring them any kind of results from several reputiable auto parts dealers, who will test and check your car for FREE! The staff refuses to belive them and insist that they do a diagonistic test..... I understand it may be a issue of well if i do this and its not it you will be mad at us... hmnnnn..... in this day of job markets we all watch our money close so are very likely to have it checked more than twice before laying down a big chunk of change.Most likely they will waive the fee for this if you have the repair done there tho... hmnn again.Do you feel obligated?Please!!!! do your own research before going to any place your not sure of! This is definatly one of those places.
Derek was wonderful,the employees there were helpful,they get you in at your schedule appointment time,even if you running a little late,they still get you in.No long wait time,they really keep you inform of whats going on with your car,and they wont do work on your car that wasnt approve by customers, and they are very honest bout your car,and not just say things to drain your pockets,I will always return to this midas,my midas.Thank you Derek and team for always keeping me safe on the road.
Went in for a free inspection as I have in the past to be told that the guy had been there 10 months and they didnt do that and tried to charge me $20 when I was there 6 months ago and had a free inspection done on two different vehicles even had my records we do not recommend going here if youre looking for free go to Car-X

They got a bunch of repairs done (that I had been procrastinating on) at a very good price and also thoroughly checked everything out just in time for my long trip to Florida.I just got back yesterday and am writing this today to thank them for helping making my trip nice, safe and mechanically uneventful :) Many thanks!!!

Price is above average for places Ive been to but their work deserves it. Fast and professional, and for the first time in my cars 110k miles my alignment is actually perfect. If you want the job done right take it to them.

2022-03-10I was able to make an appointment for a simple oil change on online and get serviced as soon as the next day. I was greeted by the assistant manager who got me in and out in less than 40 minutes (I went to lunch actually). Great service and much more affordable than my overprices Ford dealership. I will definitely be back!

They kept me posted EVERY step of the way when fixing my car and were extremely open and informative when explaining what they were doing. 2022-01-07I called morning of to bring my ford taraus in to have them take a look at my brakes. Not only did they manage to complete the work in one day, they were also extremely communicative on cost, and other work that should be done. The process felt very transparent and its nice to only have your car gone for one afternoon. It was my first time taking my car here, and I would certainly trust the team here to do work on my car again. They made a process that is normally a huge inconvenience a lot more bearable.

2022-01-26Derek, the manager at this shop, was incredibly helpful and honest with my vehicles repair needs. He didnt make me feeling pressured or uncomfortable on adding extra work/work that could be delayed to allow me time to save up. The technician I had also fixed my issue and I was out the door! Definitely recommend!

2022-03-05I do not hand out five 5 stars easily but can’t say enough how great these guys were today. I came in with a flat tire and the manager (Jim) accommodated me immediately. Within minutes, Austin was already on it. The tire is beyond repair so I requested them to replace it with the spare tire for now. When I asked how much I owe after all the effort, they said nothing! This is how good business builds a client base and their loyalty. They’ve definitely earned my nod today and will come back for for maintenance and repair needs.
