Came here on a Friday afternoon to do a title transfer. I didnt catch her name, but the woman at the front helped us through the process as fast and best as she could. She was also multitasking on the phone and helped someone else while we were there and this was all in 5-10minutes.The guy at the front door greeted everyone on the way in and supplied us with hand sanitizer. Overall the staff seems helpful.
Not first time here, but have to say it is better than other BMVs in the area. The customers are rude(I was too tired to really argue for the spot), but the employees here are extremely nice and helpful for helping customers out. This is the best BMV in town really, Tiffany is an extremely nice girl!! She is patient, polite, nice and very thoughtful for answering questions and phone calls she received. I love her smile!!! 🥳🥰🥰 gotta say they have very good management!!!!
Got there 10 mins before opening and was out 5 mins after they opened. The young lady was extremely helpful and had answers for every one of my millions of questions without falter. I went in to re-instate my license after years of suspension and it only costed me $37! Love this BMV!!!!!
Staff is always nice and helpful here at this facility. Unfortunately due to covid only a certain amount are allowed in at a time....so you will be given a number and you will be texted on your phone or you can wait outside and your number will be called on the loud speaker. Its a longer wait time than usual but thats to be expected.
Went in to do my renewal after work, it was the first of the month and after 4:00 and I had already set my mind to expect a chaotic and long wait, but I pleasantly surprised to find the complete opposite when I walked in. The line wasnt very long and Iwas taken care of within a very reasonable amount of time. All the ladies behind the counter were very pleasant and professional.
The older folks working here are not very quick. The line took about thirty minutes, then Patricia/Lacey made me a duplicate license instead of a renewed one so I had to go through the process twice. It was very confusing, she didn’t speak clearly or loudly enough, the vision test was hard to take because they didn’t help me adjust it to my height, and the whole process of license renewal took about an hour. The younger folks were friendly and seemed much more efficient; try to get them instead. Also, the AC was out when I visited which made everything a little less fun. But everyone was very nice!

Thank you for your hard work.P.s. just an additional noteThe lines and wait times are no longer at this location than at any other license bureau. People come in unprepared, without all their documents, without knowledge of what they should have with them, their driver licenses and money to pay then, they want to blame the long wait times on the staff. 🙄
Racist employees, careless, and unprofessional. Where is the manager/supervisor? They need someone responsible who can monitor whatever they’re doing! Why are they getting paid for doing NOTHING? They are the worst in Ohio! Joking, watching each other and chatting without even finishing up the customers. Line is always outside the entrance. WHAT IS THIS? Seriously!!!
Always pleasant excellent customer service longer lines that move fast and are only long because everyone comes from all over to do their busniess. This shouod be the main bhranch the employees really go above and beyond and it feels like the staff really cares and all of them know how to do thier job ....
Nice folks here, doing their best. They can be a bit overwhelmed at times, I hope people realize that theyre only human. Yall keep up the good work. One note, Ohio or Cleveland could use some more New Resident information handy at the location. I dont know what to do first and they couldnt exactly give me a list: that wouldve been really helpful!
Ive visited multiple times myself & with special needs clients requiring IDs, auto, notary, or back ground checks. The staff was exceptional. Stella customer service is what l witnessed and what l have recieved. The facility sometmes is crowed; however, the manger pushes the line- moving like a well oiled machine. Ive only seen issues when people (the public) want unrealistic favors, when they DO NOT have their required materials. Vist the facility, you will be pleased and not dissatified.
Love the new system you have to grab number and wait if its slow you just wait to be called and when you walk in there is a lady sitting by door who spray your hands with sanitizer I just found out new its are being placed so you can get into federal building and airport
Bunch of blockers and stubborns in charge of people business..They look at every possible hole not to finish your work .Oh they sell candies inside , maybe this what they are for .They don’t understand except one way of doing things ..and they think they are smart .I gave them all documents I have got in my closet . I was ready for The ordeal , and for every question, I prepared a document , and a proof .They went over all the checklist ..couldn’t find anything missing .But ..they wanted my birthdate sent from EGYPT ( I am not Egyptian) but they lady read a visa from Egypt , she thought I am from Egypt ..I said ,well this impossible , coz I am from Lebanon ..Then she said —-OH LEBANESE Birth certificate missing .End of the story .Did u see this before ? Maybe Zootopia movieUpdate : the owner replied they wanted the complete documents . They specifically asked for birth certificate !!!! Will see what will be their answer when I got it for them . I just want my driving license to drive to work , I work in a hospital !!! Did u get it ?
Be prepared to be patient , this is the sickest place Ive ever been , I dont know why government hires these kind of idiots to work , if you dont know how to work go and do fishing , dont trouble people , these kind of workers are Shame for this country, no discipline no concern,, Im writing this review with much despair and anger i waited for 2hr and 20 minutes for just renewal of my license its f**** ridiculous ,, how on earth these people are called employees,, chose another bmv , but never come to this place... I wish there would be zero stars,, dont suffer...
I went there to renew my driver liscence. I follow the instruction on BMV website to bring all necessary documents. When I got there they told me I need to take my green card and a utility bill to prove my address which are not required base on their instruction on line. Then I took my grenn card and the utility bill next time. Now they told me I need to bring my social security card! What kind of staff you hired?! Can you tell people clearly what to bring in one time and be consistent with what you mentioned on line?Follow up, I went to another BMV office and renew my liscence without a utility bill and social security card. The staff at this BMV office said I dont need those documents if my liscence is current or expired within 6 months. It is exactly what I read on line! So this proves the staff at the Shaker Hights BMV office are either have no idea what is their job or just dont want to do their job because they are lazy!

2022-08-08Entry staff was very kind and helpful at the door for COVID safety protocols. Once I was able to meet with a staff member at the window for license services, the staff member was very unhelpful and aggressive. Would not recommend visiting this BMV and would suggest going elsewhere if you have questions about licensing services.

2022-04-28The person in the front could have better etiquette but it’s difficult to control crowds so I’ll give her a break. The staff themselves are very professional and efficient and I had a good experience overall. I wish they issues the license on the spot… as it shouldn’t take much to print a license , maybe they could work on that

2020-10-03Dont bother with the BMV online checkin. Did that online. Arrived 5 minutes before opening. Told the BMV does not accept online checkin at this location. 18 people in line outdoors before it opened. 1+ hour wait time in the cold.Previous review...Over two hour wait time. Over 20 people waiting outside for service. Needed additional documentation for a compliant drivers license for travel (birth certificate, passport, Social Security card, bill with current address). Went home for documentation. Now, waiting an additional 2+ hours for service. Staff is courteous but grossly understaffed. Just two people processing drivers licenses, plates, etc. Slower service than any third world country. Americas New Normal. Consider getting your number for service online. Wish I had. See image.

2021-11-12Face to face interactions have been so difficult throughout this pandemic but my experience yesterday was absolutely amazing. My elderly father needed to replace a license he’d lost. The staff was very personable and attentive. They didn’t rush him and were super patient. Often times my fathers poor English is an added level of difficulty but not today. Tanya took the time to explain the new Ohio polices and rules. She was so kind and friendly. My dad felt so comfortable with the entire experience.God bless you Tanya.
