Michaels has lots of supplies to meet your creative needs. When you visit Michaels youll get friendly staff, lots of parking, near dining and many other businesses.
Very sparse in needed items. Staff not offering to assist shoppers. 3/23. Big store not alot of merchendise.Low staff like every where else.
Ive never been to any of the Michaels store because I always thought of them as an arts and crafts store, and Im not an artsy person. While they definitely have a large selection of various arts and crafts supplies, they sell so much more. They have regular home decoration items, holiday decorations, they have a large selection of picture frames (at reasonable prices). They have gildan t shirts for $4 in a wide array of colors! They have toys for young kids and model car kits or other kits for all ages. Long story short, give this place a try. The staff is very friendly and helpful but be sure to check the prices because some things are very pricey but others are really great deals.
Store shelves are bare, the prices are quite high for the value of the products. Store staff was too busy chatting to go to check out line. Very disappointed.

The staff were less helpful than I normally experience at Michaels. Maybe its this location. They werent overly busy. Well stocked and very clean. No wait at the checkout. I found everything I was looking for eventually. I will return here and update review at another time.

I haven’t been in the Amherst store since michaels took over pat catans. I was totally shocked. Little inventory of flowers and not the quality as they were before, no wicker department, few vases of which to choose. I think I was the only person in the store with one cashier. What happened to the lines of people ready to check you out and the former staff throughout the store willing to help you. I wish them well but I don’t give them too long before they close their doors.

Small, but clean, quiet and had what I wanted
Absolutely LOVE this store!! They had EVERYTHING I needed for a Christmas gift idea, plus more!! I got even more ideas when I was shopping. Id definitely recommend Michaels for your first, and only stop, for crafting ideas. Itll save you A LOT of time, and probably money too!
The staff was so kind and helpful! But there was a lot of empty shelves and I feel this location is organized oddly. They did just have a rebrand so maybe they are still getting their store in order.

This was my first visit to Michaels. Smaller than some of the other crafting stores. They had a good product selection. I found everything i needed. Priced reasonable.
This was my first time at a Michaels store and I dont think Ill ever return. Talk about expensive! A pack of Sharpie markers are $32! Theyre $25 at Target. Everything in the store is up priced like this times two! This store in particular looked as if it was going out of business as a quarter of the store had nothing on the shelves and was in disarray. It also didnt have most of what Pat Catans had as for crafting. Huge waste of time.
No matter which Michaels location I visit, I always find what I am looking for and this one didnt let me down. The prices were good and I got help right away when I needed it. Everyone in the store were wearing mask and following the social distancing rules...
So much to choose from. Really gets the creative spirit flowing. Beautiful pre-made decor.
Love this place people are kind and generous the prices are awesome right now they are in the middle of transitioning getting rid of the old and bringing the new and there is a lot of special so go and get them

They are having a FANTASTIC pre-Christmas sale! (12/19/19). Even without the sale the prices are still phenominal (especially on picture frames... which is what I went for), even compared to Amazon! Skip everywhere else, including online stores, and pay them a good old-fashioned Christmas shopping visit in person.
I got a confirmation that my order was ready for pick up. The next day, while driving to the store, a second email was sent telling me they didnt have all my shirts. Since I was driving I did not see said email. The shirts were for my granddaughters volleyball tournament. I finished by driving to another Michaels, staying up til midnight and getting up at 6am to deliver them to her before school since they were for a noon event at the school. Now I am not seeing a correct refund and will have to fight for that.
I love coming here I wish you was a little bit more cheaper but it has a nice variety of stuff for arts and crafts and for at-home projects..
I liked Pat Cantas better. I wish they would build a Hobby lobby in Lorain or Amherst. Stop building everything in Avon Ohio

I liked the Michaels in Wooster, Ohio but this one surprised me by how empty many shelves were. I was looking for yarn and was disappointed, a poor selection of any better quality yarn.
Its no Pat Catans thats for sure I think that its pricey and a selection while there isnt much of one the shells were pretty Barren when I went today I imagine I only go there because I dont have many other options like most of you out there
Customers and employees practiced social distancing! Most customers had masks and all employees wore masks. Made for a pleasant outing topped by good selection at reasonable prices.

Pat Catans was a hundred times better. This store is over priced and has half the amount of diy crafts as Pat Catans. I have only purchased twice from Michaels but I’m not big on this store at all.

A good place to get your art supplies for painting and other hobbies, use their coupons for what you can as their prices are a little higher than where Im use to shopping. Still though I can find what I need.

Extremely overpriced. I was like wow how can a cheap wreath be $100. Im far from cheap and am never looking for a good deal but when you see a wreath that is $5 worth of supplies for $100 you do a double take. Will not be shopping for decor there.

Not impressed. Ordered online for in-store pick up. Got there and waited around for a half hour while they pieced my order together just to find out theyve been sold out the whole time.
The store in lorain was so bad the shelves where empty it looked like a going out business. They didnt have what I needed. The lighting was really bad.

2022-01-29Wide open and well organized store with decent prices. Not as cluttered and messy as when it was Pat Catans. Only complaint is that it took a while to find what I was looking for because even though the isles were numbered, when looking for a product online to buy in the store, no isle or location listed for the product. Also no contactless payments accepted.

2022-05-20The associates at this store were incredible. I was greeted as I entered and my transaction went very smoothly.The store itself is much larger than it looks from the outside, and the aisles are nice and wide. Everything was very easy to find. I will say it took me a minute to find the price checker, but it ended up being smack dab in the center of the store.It was really enjoyable to visit this store. There is plenty of parking and its easy to get in and out of. I highly recommend this store.

2022-02-22Firstly I have to say that Michael is not at this location. Im not sure where he is, but he certainly is not in this store (I looked) and I will begin going down the list of other Michaels locations once the axle on my van is fixed. There are however a multitude of things to entertain and keep you busy here. I found a shelf covered in plastic dinosaurs and I began making them jewelry from the bead isle. The tall slender man with the glasses kept asking sir, are you going to be buying that? But he doesnt seem to understand personal freedoms and liberties. The artificial flowers are also great, and if you dont like the colors offered on them? Well it just so happens they have entire shelves of paint. The odd thing with them is that they have some sort of scaling system in which the items are numbered in categories, such as artist and professional, seemingly not understanding that someone may be a professional artist, but thats besides the point. Anyway, when I was done painting I went to the checkout and bought a Twix (professional level candy) and gave half of it to the tall guy as a little tip for having to recollect the beads in the dino-isle. And Michael, if youre reading this, you can run, but you cant hide.

2022-05-27I love Michaels! My only issue is the pricing on some items. A 36x36 canvas is $75! Ive found cheaper and quality alternatives elsewhere. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for. Definitely a ton of selection and quality products but those prices keep me away more than Id like.

2022-02-05This store is very sparse but I still try to frequent it hoping theyll continue to add more inventory. Of course I miss Pat Catans, who used to be in this location, but at least we have a craft store in our area.The store is neat and tidy and staff is friendly and helpful.

2022-03-03Steven in framing is the best ever. He has done so much work me and I always trust his efforts. Steven is very talented. I noticed he takes my items I want worked, looks at them , and shoes me what the next direction to go is. I always leave confident and always leave happy.
