Fights break out at this place all the time and the police officer and the staff there have no control over these kids so please do not leave your kids there because something just might happen to them. Its nothing but a whole bunch of ghetto hoodlums and want to be thugs that attend this Rec Center and the staff have no control over the kids there. It was once a nice place 4 a family but not no more
This place is a great park. It has a dog park, a paved walkway with periodic workout stations, a baseball field, covered pavilion, basketball courts, playground, and LOTS of greenspace! We take our pups there to walk, play fetch, and generally frolic, which they love, of course.A word to the wise: make sure you are aware of your surroundings in the dog park. Some dogs are not well socialized, and their owners arent either. =/ Honestly, we avoid the dog park at high traffic hours and instead do leashed walks around the park and unleashed fetch when the greenspace near the dog park is empty. That said, this is just a minor thing you run into at EVEY dog park and shouldnt scare you away!
The dog park is a bit small. Its great for the dog to stretch his legs.Also, theres a quarter mile track if you have the energy. Overall not a bad place.
I go every Monday and Wednesday for the Zumba! It is free to use the rec center although the Zumba classes have a make-a-donation option. Ive been going for about 4 months and its great. Granted their are teenagers but I always like to be a positive role model so I dont mind them (even when they are snotty). The staff is great and its so close to home. Oh and the sauna is small but toasty :). Definitely recommend! they have lots of kid programs too.
You call for details on events n hours and they are extremely rude Couldnt even get my question out before she scolded me. Horrible work ethic she has not to mention she answered the phone while in full conversation with someone else. People thay work at these centers should have a passion n love for the community not be so rude and unwelcoming especially working front desk or phones!!
Nice park - we were outside at the park on the weekend and it was full of families playing soccer and baseball....or just hanging out in the toddler spray/water area. Great crowd of people there on a sunny day!
Its ok, except we waited almost 3hrs for them to turn on the water for the splash park on a very hot day, the showers inside only funtioned with hot water , nearly burning my daughter and nieces and the free lunch program is nice except I think they shouldnt worry about a parent eating whatever their child has left behind or children taking the rest of their food home
Indoor swimming year round when life guards are available. Plenty of activities for my children. Right off the bus and train. Perfect for a person without a car but wants to get active in the community of athletes.
Im 45 I went here as a kid, teenager and young adult. Its in need of a serious makeover. The sinks and stall areas are rusted beyond belief. AMONGST other things that need attention
Staff are always friendly and helpful. I go for lap swimming. The guards are good at separating lap swimmers from others. The water could be a bit warmer.
Theres a great deal of activities inside the center, its free but well secured, families come here to not only have fun but be a part of the community! Our little family comes for the swimming and well-kept playground.
Place was filthy inside, the floors were sticky and dirty pool area was just ew I couldnt even stand to be in there... Gave it 2 stars because its a nice splash park and regular park outside.... Inside was just gross!
This place is a nice and safe place for kids they will never run out things to do, they even have stuff for adults leaning towards exercising and staying fit I love it
Did a great job on the outside with the new editions. Havent been in the inside in a while, but the weight/workout room definitely needed updating.
Pretty poorly maintained. Broken glass on the tennis courts, garbage not picked up, weeds growing all over the dog park. Too bad, with a little TLC this could be a jewel.
Water Aerobics is a great workout. Who knew you could actually sweat in water. Every Monday and Wednesday, 6:00pm. The instructors are great... Thanks Andrea and AJ.
This is a great place to take children. Has sauna and indoor pool. Activities/Sports/Park.Have been coming here since I was a Child and now bring my children.
We went for the Haunted House! They did a really good job! My daughter was terrified! 😂 Thanks for making it a good time!
Pretty average rec ctr for Cleveland, I think. Disappointed in lack of organization & inaccurate info advertised though. For example, they advertised swim lessons. When I inquired, they said they dont offer them this summer. Could be cleaned up a bit also.
Great staff. Has some odd rules for use of the pool and some areas of t he facility need to be updated and repaired. Some things not safe for children.

This place is great and every time I bring my grandson here I am offered a chair by staff and their always checking the water to make sure its good for the kids to play in ,great staff ..
My Childhood Was Built Around This Rec Center It Has Always Grown And Adapted To The Times And Never Shys Away From Spending For Events Or Growth Very Happy Its Still Being Enjoyed Many Of My Childhood Past Times No Longer Exists....
This place has been upgraded so good since my youth days...i need to get back in there one day...this place holds so many memories of my youth...im in tears right now...just glad our city has preserved it so well.
For what dumb reason are these recs closed on sunday and early on Saturday is beyond me but this rec needs updating everywhere. All there is to do is play basketball when some events arent happening which is often.
The pool was warm and seemed clean. The mens locker room needs some tlc, all the showers were broken.
Love it grew up as a child playing sports for Michael j zone and the 90s staff where wounderful and a nice and a good playing area for my two children to play real big transformation from when i was growing up love it

Not good today they closed down the outside water park, and I dont know if they had the adult swim from 8pm to 11pm so it was alrite.

It was ok. The lady at the counter continued talking to someone while I was standing there waiting for her so I can ask her some questions. And it wasnt for just a few minutes. Then she looked at me as if I was bothering her.
