We had a great stay in a beautiful comfortable lovely home. Bob and Joanne are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very delicious ! We were there over Valentines day and everything was decorated very festive for Valentines thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at the charming and historic home, Michael Cahill Bed and Breakfast. The innkeepers Bob and Jo Anne Surbella were so generous and accommodating with attention to every detail. Located in the heart of Historic Ashtabula Harbor in walking distance to many restaurants and gift shops! We will definitely stay again!
Beautiful old victorian home, decorated in period style. Owners and staff lovely and gracious. Comfortable rooms with small personal bathroom. Wonderful breakfast prepared by a Chef, kitchenette upstairs for guests use. Highly recommended!! !Cozy sitting rooms and purchased.
Just spent two nights here for a girls weekend. The owner, Joanne, has made this house the perfect place as she has such a sense of a lodger’s needs. If you decide to hang out in one of the parlors or the screened in porch, relaxation and comfort is amazing! The individual servings of ice cream in the freezer for a midnight snack for such a treat! Has anyone tried Mamosa floats?! Our breakfast were outstanding with the tablescape that belongs pictured in a magazine! You are only a short car ride away from many sites and beautiful wineries and a short walk to Main Street where you find quaint shops and restaurants. We plan on definitely returning to Michael Cahill’s B & B.
I spent my first nite here and enjoyed it im staying for a 2 nighter and am still enjoying it i hope to come back it has that old fashion history look to it which kinda takes me back to the old western days i mostly got to vist the musem didnt go in and see the huelett i suggest seing it but for the most part the b&b was amazing lil exspensive though but worth the stay id give it a 10/10 if i had my way about it

2021-05-17So much to do within a short walk from the Bed & Breakfast! Wine bar, brewpub, casual and fine dining, chocolate shop, gifts, artisan shop, coffee roaster/shop. The B&B was meticulously maintained and every detail was attended to to make our stay memorable! We even had heated towels for after our shower! Don’t miss the Belgian waffles for breakfast! The owners are wonderful!

2020-08-28The home is charming and cozy. There’s a mix of old meets modern. The rooms are immaculate with such great attention to details. Much thought, time and love was put into this home , not only is that visible but I could feel it. I was greeted by Joanne as though we’ve known one another for a long while. I was so comfortable there. It was like staying with family. They even had ice cream in the freezer for all the guests 😁. Breakfast was amazing! Such beautiful table settings to the freshest fruit and Bob cooking us the most delicious breakfast. I will most definitely visit again .....soon ! ❤️

2020-09-10My husband and I were visiting from Seattle and had a great weekend at this historic BnB. Jo Anne and Bob were fantastic. We were not the easiest guests as we rented the entire home and had different local family members switching in and out every night. The home was above our expectations- such a beautiful treat to experience. Very clean. Thoughtful touches. Convenient walk to shops and restaurants. The daily breakfast was five star!

2020-02-16My fiancé and I stayed here over Valentines Day weekend for a night. The B&B was in a great location as the downtown area was a 5 minute walk where there are numerous restaurants, bars and shops. The hosts Jo Anne and Bob were very friendly and very accommodating. The house was very clean and uniquely decorated. Our room had a few snacks in it and the sitting room had coffees/teas and even stuff for root beer floats. We highly recommend the B&B as it is a great environment for a quiet get away. We will definitely return maybe in the summer.

2020-06-22Michael Cahills B&B is a destination of its own! We stayed here for a special weekend getaway to explore wineries and covered bridges. The house and rooms are incredible - Victorian home with themed rooms and decor from Victorian to post-modern. The owners - Joann and Bob - are beyond delightful, we felt like we were old friends. Bob is a former Executive Chef, breakfast was beyond any 5 star meal we might have found on our own if we stayed in a hotel. Little details like fresh homemade cookies awaiting us at the end of a day, icecream in the freezer, bottled water as we needed in the refrigerator, and a Keurig in the parlor if we needed coffee before breakfast made made this trip extra special. Joann and Bob even made special arrangements for lactose-free milk for us because of a lactose allergy, and Bob confirmed with us if breakfast options were okay for our allergy! Joannes eye for details in the furniture and decor is stunning - museum quality. Construction to upgrade one of the rooms was taking place on our floor the whole time - we did not hear one peep - it was quiet and relaxing, like we had the whole house to ourselves. We stayed here just as things were reopening after the pandemic stay-at-home closures. The house and our room were impeccably clean, and Joann and Bob were super sensitive to safe distancing of guests at breakfast. And with multiple different porches and garden areas to stroll and sit and relax, we felt safe and cozy the whole time. We will stay here again, and we wont stay anywhere else when we come to this area unless they dont have rooms available!

2019-07-08Perfect Girls Getaway WeekendIt was Divine Intervention that led us to this beautiful historic gem for our weekend road trip! Michael Cahill B & B was everything described on their website and then some! The home was impeccable with attention to every detail imaginable! The gourmet breakfast spreads were to die for! The six of us came together from all over the state to reunite after over a year of being apart. The setting was the perfect place for us to catch up! Wed move from the parlor to one of the porches chatting and giggling away into the wee hours of the night! (Our first night here, we felt so welcome that we scrapped our plans to go out, ordered the legendary local pizza Jo Anne had recommended and just stayed home!) Jo Anne was a delightful and welcoming hostess with such a bubbly personality! She anticipated our every need! Would we recommend this lovely B & B? ABSOLUTELY!!! In fact, we are already planning a return visit!
