Do not go to this hospital I just left there with no care just sat in a room head pounding no one came to check on me nothing this hospital is terrible will be going to Kettering from now on php not it anymore just terrible care don’t think they know what care or service is and those commercials are lying when they are saying the leading care facilities in Ohio they must be paying somebody off for those awards because they are terrible if you care about yourself don’t go to no Miami valley hospitals
Went to have an ECHO, I got very lucky as there was a person pulling out of a handicap space. I am on oxygen 24/7 and I can not walk far. Last one and the front row was full. Appointment time was 1 PM at 1PM they called for me. I was carrying a small tank as they had advised me that if I run out they have it available. Tech was very friendly, and explained stuff as she did it. Scan was complete and I was leaving then I recognized that my tank was empty. They came over and got their oxygen and walked out to my truck with me made sure I had extra. I feel that was kinda like over the topOnly downfall is there is no valet service. I have 2 more appointments scheduled, I hope I will be lucky then also.
The nurses & doctors are incredible! The area my husband was in was so short staffed, it was all on your nurse whom you shared with 9 other patients to do everything. Top priority were the patients, then water, ice, etc, call lights, bringing linens, you name it! My husband was very fortunate to have nurses who could handle stressful situations. I really think they need to hire some help for these nurses!! We were there for 1 week. I saw the nurses from the start of their shift to the end where they were so exhausted they looked like ghosts. They need their assistants back!!! This is utterly ridiculous in the USA.
Came in early in the morning about two weeks ago because of a mental health crisis. Sat in the waiting room sobbing (I was the only patient in the waiting room) while the receptionist and a nurse were chatting and joking around. Eventually was brought back to a room without them even doing intake, they had only asked for my name and social security number. After about ten minutes of being ignored while the nurses chatted I decided to go elsewhere. I had received no care, only had disrobed and redressed. The nurse got a nasty attitude with me and the doctor who came in to try to convince me to stay was not much better. As I was leaving the nurse reminded me several times I would still be billed for coming in. What a joke.
Went to the after hours clinic and the entire staff, Ben, Cathy, Lauren, and did not get the young ladies name at the front desk were absolutely wonderful. I think it is sad they are closing it. I work later in the afternoon and rather than take time off work I am able to be seen without waiting days.
Ive been using this location since they were Good Samaritan North but since they transition to MVH, things took a wrong turn. The service was bad, taking care of sick people becomes an experiment for residents. I almost died from getting the wrong medication when I had my sickle cell crisis and low potassium. I was given a steroid that put my body in shock and after I complained, they proceeded in covering it up. The nurses are rude and all they want to do at night is disappear to sleep. Theres no compassion here in my personal experience. I will never visit this hospital again. Im done with a teaching hospital. I gave them one star but actually, they deserved no star for my agony. It was the worst three days of my life.
Convivent location, the doctors and nurses were absolutely amazing, cared for you and addressed our health concerns and issues with a quickness. They now have like ,48 hospital rooms if you need to be admitted. They took very good care of our family member who had to stay 3days. Very nice and clean.
Not enough Handicap parking in either lots. They do have people who will park and then go get it when youre done. But I have a 5 speed and most people cant drive a stick shift. As for the employees most are nice, but I have to give a shout out for the ladies in the mammography Dept. They are wonderful and very nice to me. I love the warm robes they give us to wear. Keep up the good work ladies.
I am a senior. One of the great things about MVNorth in the past was their valet parking, which gave me access to the hospital. Now that the valet is discontinued, Im going to have to look for another doc at another location, which is a shame, because I had a high opinion of my doc there.
Wife went in for surgery. Dr(s) and staff did not read chart. She was allergic to staples, they used staples. Another surgery to remove staples when allergic reaction occurred. Wife given Morphine. Wife allergic to Morphine. Its in her chart. Hospital may want to consider when hiring doctors and staff that an elementary reading test is provided. We lost count on how many apologies were given. Enough with apologies. Hospital administrators should demand excellence from facility and staff. In past this Hospital was fantastic. Trust is lost. When you have to read your own chart to your doctor before surgery. Something is amis.
We took our 18 month old daughter in to the ER this afternoon for a chin laceration. The intake staff were all very kind and answered all of the questions we had. One lady in particular Did extra searching to find an answer for me that she wasnt sure of. Once we were taken back, the nursing staff was AMAZING. They were all compassionate and kind towards my daughter. They engaged her and really tried to make this experience not as scary. The PA and supervising MD who came in did a great job explaining all of the options to us as well as the pros and cons of each option. They listened to our concerns and decided on a plan that we all agreed was best for my child. The PA and nurses that worked together to stitch her up were so kind and loving and truly showed they cared. We were incredibly pleased with the service we received and thankful for the loving hearts in this ER. Thank you all so much!!
Extremely difficult parking.there supposed to be a shuttle for us handicap posting it from the garage but Ive never actually seen it in the multiple trips I made there. Care is average-at-best. And the food they serve you is atrocious. Ive gone so far as to tell the dieticians there that theyre doing a great disservice to the people that come in trying to learn to eat a better diet if they leave thinking healthy food has to taste that bad.
I had told the Dr and Nurses that I didnt want any narcotics for pain as they made me very sick. I was told no problem, i would just get a strong anti-inflammatory. The next few days I felt very sick, could barely hold anything down. I looked up the medication online, it is a narcotic! As far as the ER visit, the Dr was too rushed. After waiting 3 hours in the waiting room,he didnt even let me finish why I was there or why my Dr sent me there or what my Dr wanted done. The nurses though were amazing. Even being extremely busy, they were so nice and compassionate
Avoid coming here if possible! The emergency room employees here are very incompetent! I have been here with my great grandmother sitting for multiple hours with no results and no updates whatsoever. While we were waiting, and the nurses are chatting and laughing at the nurse desk, a woman was calling for help coming out of the rest room hooked up to an IV pole in a gown, while the nurses at the desk were just standing around doing nothing to help her or assist her back to her room; not to mention this woman was bleeding. This is just horrible, as you can tell. So again, AVOID THE EMERGENCY ROOM HERE, at all cost!
I never mind having appointments at Miami Valley Hospital North. It is an easy place to maneuver for doctor appointments. My experience with the emergency department is A+. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The whole place is efficient. It actually becomes pleasant if you have a need to go there!
I had the flu. Once I was in my room. The nurse came in she was so quick. As I asked her what for medicines they were giving me she had an attitude because I asked what they were and was mean very quick. With me She hurt my feelings because all I did was ask what medicines were being put into my IV. I asked several questions about my temperature and she told me to just wait. And so I did actually didnt say anything else. She was very mean. When it was time to go she had my discharge papers. And was waiting for the pain before I even sign my name I asked her if I could sit. In my room until my Uber account and she said time is money. And do you hear this sound talkin about her radio? Telling me their worst patients ready to come into my room. I said, okay, and thank you. When I got out to the waiting room, it was completely empty I will never go back to that hospital.
Love this place,,everyone is super friendly no matter where you go in the building. They treat their patients with respect no matter what the issue is. I will recommend it to any one I know who wants the best of care. Treatment never changed when it went from Good Samaritan North to present....awesome place
If I had stayed in this hospital I would have died! Miss diagnosed. I asked for more testing and was dismissed. I had a bowel blockage, abscess between my colon and was wedgeged between my bladder. and colon, I had acute diverticulitis as well. I was not listened to , I was treated as less than human.i would never go back. The day I was released I went another hospital, I was immediately admitted as soon as they did the cat scan the knew I had to have JPTUBE TO DRAIN THE ABCESS. I AM STILL IN IV DRUGS (antibiotics) given by An infectious disease doctor as they tried to treat me with the wrong antibiotics at Miamvalley North. I was asked about the pain I was in at Miami Valley North and I had nurses tell me I couldn’t still be in pain. No one listened to me. Air one point I had an I V that blew At 2 in the afternoon. Two nurses came in blew my vein 4 more times and did not come back I kept calling the nurses station and saying I wasn’t getting my medicines. I finally called the emergency room to get help! This was the worst most incompetent health care I have ever had. I tried to report this to the hospital, and they refused to let me talk to an administrator! Pass up Miami Valley North Hospital if you want to live!
I WAS PLACED IN A SAFETY ROOM. FOR MEDICAL PRECAUTION BY SOCIAL WORKER, SHE IS MY HEAVENLY FATHERS RIGHT HAND FOR MY SON AND I!! HE WAS IN HIS ROOM UNABLE TO VERBAL AND UNABLE TO HAVE VISITING OF FAMILY! KEEP UPDATED BY HIS DRS AND HIS NURSES. HE AND I COMMUNICATED BY NURSE COMMUNICATION I-PAD!! SO-SO GRATEFUL! IT HELP MY SON TO KNOW I WAS THEIR AND HES NOT ALONE!! THANK-YOU ALL STAFFERS!! MY PRAYERS FOR EACH OF YOU EVERYONE!!
Miami Valley Hospital North ( previously Good Samaritan North) has more amenities than what most people realize; there are numerous Doctors & Specialists who see patients on the upper floors, theres an after hours clinic in the back of the Hospital thats always seemed more adequate & CLEAN compared to others Ive been to AND there is a very nicely stocked with great equipment gym including a running track ( indoors as well as outdoors). This gym is very state of the art & is aesthetically very pleasing if you hate to miss your daily run due to the winter months, the spring rain, or sumner heat, theres no need to ever miss a day again!
The radiologist at Good Samaritan North that read my CT scans miss read them each time and passed along the misleading information to the doctor that requested them. This has endangered my life causing my cancer going for more than a year before it was detected. Not sure what the outcome will because of this.
Went in after burning my leg exiting a burning vehicle. Online site stated 1/2 wait time. Nobody in lobby when I checked in. After sitting over an hour and watching people sick to the stomach and various bumps and bruises taken back within minutes of walking in, I left to seek medical care elsewhere. Horrible facility
Due to premiere health closing the Good Sam ED we have sat in “Miami Vally North” ED with my brother in extreme pain They informed over an hour ago he would be the first pt back due to his pain. They still gave no beds. There r literally no seats left for visitors in the waiting room. This is more proof that premiere health has no interest in serving the North community But rather a commitment to making money. We are leaving the ED and going to the englewood urgent care as we have been told we would probably be treated faster by the Musmi valley employees who are complaining about their employer as much as we are They said the EDs are overwhelmed at this point

2022-05-17They allow their employees to park in visitors parking!Which they take up all the parking spots, and was almost late to my appointment because I couldn’t find a parking spot.Call customer experience and she said that they’re allowed to park out there.I would give them zero stars but it wouldn’t allow me so I’m giving them one!

2022-05-125 star visit (if you can have such a thing at a hospital). The greatest of all Doctors... ever! I was patient with the nursing staff, as they were so busy, but to be discharged, and left hooked up to stuff.... I peeled all the stickers off and disconnected myself from the machine... that nearly landed me rating this a 3, or maybe 2 star visit.

2022-07-13This place showed no sense of urgency. It’s like nurse, doctors pick and choose how they care for certain patients. They left to sit in a hallways looking a mess gown opened sticky taps all over me no privacy. Treat people how you would your loved one if they where in the same situation.

2022-07-04Horrible! They sent me home with internal bleeding from a ruptured ovaries. And I ended up going to a different hospital having to get emergency surgery! I literally couldve lost my life, and I was in the hospital for a week after, thats how serious it was. I got married 2 years ago and now Im not able to conceive because of all the internal bleeding that I had. Horrible! And Im still traumatized of hospitals because of this.

2022-06-11My review pertains to the ER at the North campus. Dr. Kocian was the only doctor in the past month of my multiple visits to various ERs for kidney stone pain who was willing to admit me for emergency urological intervention. I cant express my gratitude for that call. I was able to FINALLY be properly treated the next morning at Miami Valley Main, having several procedures to remove my multiple stones. THANK YOU, DR. KOCIAN!!

2022-02-27I have experienced the Doctors not caring about your health care like they should. Wanting to rush to get you out of there instead of really taking time to listen to your sickness. Thats why Ive had to return for the same ailments. The nurses dont explain what to do when youre going home. And the nurse or computer workers want to keep taking blood in painful areas after you have told them that it hurts. No one checks on you or want to do anything for you. And you dont hardly see the Doctors. This is mostly on second shift. This is why I dont know if Ill keep going to MVH either one North or South.
