Wow so depressing, this place has definitely been forgotten about. Used to be a great family experience to come here but never again! Beer was warm couldnt even get 2 drinks down. Nachos came out with shredded cheese...wheres the queso??? Come on guys where is the love for your craft?
This is the really only place my large family goes out to eat because we know they’ll be able to accommodate and make us a big table. I’m not an authentic Mexican cuisine expert, but I got the spinach quesadilla (vegetarian) and it was pretty tasty! No complaints about any of the food from my fam, and there’s a lot of options to choose from on the menu. The service is pretty good and we love their frozen margaritas. Plus the inside of the restaurant is decorated like a Spanish grotto and has a great vibe!
Loaded nachos were good but I have a problem with poor service. The girl that came to our table was fine but we observed frustrated patrons at other tables being neglected while staff paid waaaay too much attention to each other.Oct 2, 2018 UPDATE: Much, much better service! Chips are still so so, but my nachos loco were still scrumptuous. (I should really try something different next time).
The house margaritas were not good. We sent back 2 pitchers as they tasted like watered down lemonade. On the third one, the bartender came over and gave us the third. While not good it was much better. Ive had house margaritas many places so I feel my expectations were reasonable. Im glad they continued to try and make it right.Food was good and they had karaoke. Ill give them one more chance as theyre close to home. Fingers crossed that our experience is better. However, we will not have the house margaritas again, ha.
Table wasnt cleared after we finished eating. I had to wonder around the restaurant 4xs asking for things such as refills, to go boxes and bill. I ordered a margarita and waited over 10 mins and finally got frustrated went to the bar. Stood there for another 5 or so. I told her what was going on. She said the machine was half working and thats why its taking so long then offered it on ice instead. The waitress should have told me and offered that. I decided to just leave.
My first time coming here I was taking a class right across the street and I seen a Mexican sign out front so I decided to stop to try to some good Mexican food and man was it very delicious nice clean glass of water and lemonade the glass was so clean It was amazing my waitress was a very nice Mexican lady she told me her name but of course I can’t pronounce it because she’s Mexican lol any who I really enjoyed my food nice clean spotless place I’ll definitely be back soon thank u so much to my nice waitress 😋😊
We loved this place. It was Mother’s Day and we were coming home from a long weekend in Northern Ohio and wanted Mexican for lunch. Staff was friendly and the food was fantastic and large portions. Service was quick, even on Mother’s Day! To top it off, they gifted me with a dessert, coupon for return visit, and a rose :). This would be our go to Mexican restaurant if we lived in Toledo.
Got take out. The food was excellent and the service was fast and friendly. Pleasantly surprised. Ill be back soon.Update...have been back several times. The food and service are exceptional. San Marcos was my favorite Mexican food in the area...now I have 2 favorites. I cant wait til the pandemic is over so I can enjoy the dine in experience.
This place is overpriced! We have been there a few times and each time we go the food gets worse. I paid $11 today for a couple of chimichangas that tasted like beef stuffed soft tacos. The shell was nowhere near deep fried and the beef lacked flavor. I’ll save myself some money next time and just go to Taco Bell the next time I want Mexican food.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Toledo. Best authentic Mexican in the city hands down. I love the staff here as they are so kind and get things done very quickly. The owners are very gracious. The wife speaks English better between the two of them but the husband has a sweet disposition and wont hesitate to get someone to help him translate. the inside of the restaurant is vast and beautifully decorated with gorgeous art work.
Good food. I had Nacho Supreme large platter of nachos with cheese, chicken, beef and beans. One complaint not enough beans. My friend had taco salad. She was pleased but I think she received a lot of my beans. Waitress was polite and attentive. I love the decor and atmosphere. The decor is very colorful. You can eat outside but not this evening it was pouring rain. The only weather we seem to have lately. They also have adult beverages that I have enjoyed in the past. Driving so could not have one.
Had a lovely lunch here last week. They are very fast to greet you, get your beverage order, then your food order. The complimentary chips and salsa are very good. Our entrees were delivered in good time and very hot. I asked for hot sauce. The server brought me a couple of different bottles and a small cup of their home-made sauce, which she warned me as being very hot. It was that, but also had a great flavor. The prices are reasonable, the service is very friendly and fast, making me decide I should go there much more often. (This time I had a companion, but if I go alone with a book. I am very comfortable
Ordered ground beef nachos. There were HUGE chunks of cooked (stewed?) tomatoes in with the chips. Disgusting. Sent my plate back to the kitchen and asked them to remake them .. and could they also make sure the cheese was melted on them as the first batch was not. The remake had melted cheese but still -- big pieces of cooked tomatoes mixed with the chips. Had the waitress take them away and asked to have the cost removed from my bill. Extremely disappointed !!
I came to this restaurant with my boyfriend, who is a black man. The service we got was very unfriendly, and the waiters were watching us the whole time like they thought we would try to leave without paying. Our waiter even commented on how much our bill was like he was insinuating we couldnt afford to pay. We were the only customers and the service was slow. The food isnt even all that great. When it was time to pay the bill, we gave a credit card directly to our waiter so he knew our bill was paid. He still ran after us for not writing a tip amount on the check (weird and rude!)... He made us very uncomfortable and we definitely wont be back here!
Cant really complain everything was pretty authentic I had the flautas and my daughter had regular tacos of course it was Wednesday so there was a group the only one who is dissatisfied was our friend who ordered the chili rellenos not up to par . Will probably not run to this place again but in all fairness they were busy so Id give it a little lookie loo if youre in the neighborhood
I have been visiting this restaurant for the past 6 years, there have been a lot of changes both good and bad. Lately it seems like it is really hit or miss when it comes to the cooking. Sometimes the salsa is AMAZING and other times is tastes old and the chips are stale and very greasy. The guacamole is the same way, it can be really good and the next time, it there is too much onion and you cannot taste the avocados. Typically I only order the Fajitas and those are always good. I have noticed the food prices on the menus have increased.I have an issue with the price of the kids menu, $5.29 for a cheeseburger and fries, drink is NOT included add another $1.99 for the drink you are talking $7.28 for a kids meal. I can go elsewhere and the drink is almost always included. I always feel slighted when we take our family. The staff is awesome. Over the years we have gotten to know some of the staff and they are always friendly. The staff is the driving factor for the four stars, while the food is subpar the service is always exceptional!
I really liked that this restaurant had a lunch Mexican buffet. Thats different than your typical American or Chinese buffet. The food was excellent! It wasnt a large buffet area like Im used to, but what it had was very substantial. Plus I really enjoyed the rice. We were the only ones there to begin with so we could sit anywhere we wanted. The wait staff was friendly and attentive and the price was reasonable.
I have been here twice now. My family is big and they go for the margaritas, mainly.I ordered nachos both times, and each time the meat was gross. The shredded beef wasnt shredded, it was in four huge chunks on my plate, and you could tell my plate sat under a lamp for a while, because the meat wasnt warm anymore and the cheese on top was dried. The first time, it was ground beef, and without remembering specifics, i was dissatisfied that time, too. I brought leftovers home and my husband didnt even like them. He ears anything! On top of that, my family is pretty big, and the waitresses had terrible attitudes both times. The other servers standing around with no tables didnt even lift a hand to help her out with all of the drinks and plates. The guys in the kitchen had to serve food for her.I asked for our bills 3 times within 45 minutes, and while we were the only people in the restaurant, she didnt bring them. My aunt had to ask sternly for the bills for her to actually bring them.I wont be going back again. Twice is enough. Perhaps I should have tried the enchiladas or something, but honestly, the meat is so cheap, I wont bother.
I was a little hesitant to try this place but upon recommendation from a good friend we gave it a shot. The ambiance and decor is really cool and I did not expect that when I walked in the door. I always kind of look to see how any Mexican restaurant does the chips and salsa. I found the salsa to be very mediocre and the chips were clearly just out of a bag. I found the food to be okay, in general. Nothing special. The ingredients seemed fresh but not as full of flavor as I would have expected.(Side note not related to me review: I was very surprised to find out that they dont serve black beans.) The location is great for this part of town because there isnt a lot of Mexican restaurants in this area. That being said, Im definitely willing to give this a try again and will update my score if Im blown away.
Terrible wait staff. Both of the times I went were on slow days, with plenty of staff on hand. The waitresses barely stopped at our table. Both times it took 15 minutes for us to get the bill. I gave an extra star for the excellent food. Good job kitchen staff.-very accurate! Waited 15 minutes to get a waitress. Then 15 minutes for a beverage. Good food , not the best service
We dined here the other night and our order was made incorrectly and was cold but they said we could come in and then took down our name and said they would remake our food at later date cause we were always clear across town when we went to eat and noticed it was made wrong. I will update my score for them when we go back for replacement so far staff impressed me with their courteous attitudes toward the issue and promptness in addressing the problem at hand.
I went during the lunch buffet and its definitely worth it, you have a range option from fajitas, enchiladas, tacos (hard and soft), with many meats to choose from (chicken steak and beef), with many variety of salsas. Staff was very friendly and wasnt too busy. At only 8.99 I will be returning
I think the management has changed, the employees are great as always. But...They changed the cheese they used on the beans and tacos; It was so much better before. Mom my ordered the shrimp fajitas which were usually amazing but this time it was mostly onions. I believe that the chips are different too. I am only disappointed because I was expecting how good the food used to be and it was a lot different. Im sorry mi hacienda but I probably wont be back.
Bad service, average food, kinda over priced for the quality of food they serve . Server messed up our orders, didnt remember to bring boxes even after we asked and didnt refill our chips or salsa and didnt bother refilling our drinks until we asked. She didnt seem to understand us while we were ordering things either Im not sure if she was so tired or something that she was giving such sub par service.
Will visit again, clean and delicious food. Recommend the fajitas and tacos. Like the fresh guacamole as well. The best margarita is the golden, skip the Texas, pay for the upgrade and you wont regret it. (No hangovers with the better tequila) the patio is small but cute. The staff has always been nice. Im thinking about those fajitas now!
Its very mediocre mexican food but its very affordable and they always have great specials. They do lunch buffets. Happy hour is from 2-6pm even on Saturdays. Taco Tuesday is 99 cent for hard tacos; soft tacos are $1.50(somewhere there). Dont forget Margerita Mondays. Domestic beer bottles is 99 cents. Football season beer specials. Cute Cozy little Mexican place. Colorful. Nice staff.
I have eaten here a handful of times and looking forward to going tonight for my husbands birthday. The food is always amazing and the margaritas are always delish! I love the bright and colorful atmosphere. Its like what my grandmas house would be like if she were still here. Keep up the great work!!
I ordered the spinach quesadilla and OMG, it was SO unbelievably flavorful. The food is SO good. Five stars for the food (6 if it were an option). The service was a little slow. They may need to hire another person. But overall, I would definitely recommend this place! 😃
This is the best Mexican food Ive ever had! I usually order the same thing no matter where I go but here I order something different almost every time because I know no matter what it is itll be amazing and Ive never been disappointed yet! The margaritas are amazing as well!! The service is pretty good too.
The food was really bland, and the waitress very indifferent until we found a piece of plastic in our food. The restaurant was near empty and the waitress still couldnt seem to keep up with anything we needed. They also ran out of carbonation for all soda and were serving the soda from 2 liters. Extra star because the margaritas were plentiful and dirt cheap (and strong!).
Friendly and quick service; large portions; very reasonable priceOrdered Fiesta Tacos (shrimp with all the garnishes) and guacamole - was good but not remarkable. Why not 5 stars? While a great value, the food was only very good - you wont regret making a stop here by any means!
This is Authentic Mexican Food. We went on Taco Tuesday for Lunch-- Hard Tacos currently 99 cents. We ordered the Taco Salad, 3 Chicken Tamales, Bean Dip, and 3 Hard Tacos. They have Coca-Cola and Pop from Mexico. The food is delicious! The restaurant is Clean, Big and Spacious! The wait staff is courteous. Their Bathrooms are clean. The Womans Bathroom has nice tile and unique sinks. We had fun. The Tables and Chairs are from Mexico hand carved and hand painted. We recommend dining here, you will enjoy it.
Entered a Toledo south end neighborhood Mexican restaurant with low expectations. Upon entering we were asked if we would like a menu or partake in the buffet. Not sure what we were in for, we took menus to investigate what they had to offer. A full line-up of items including Molaget selections. I always lòok for this since I eat keto or as close as possible. The prices on the menus items seemed a bit high from other Mexican Restaurants we have patronized. However, after eyeballing a neighboring tables order being delivered, I quickly unerstood why. The gentleman across from me got a burrito nearly the size of a football. Now I understood the pricing. However, I would never eat that size of portion in two visits, let alone one. My wife and I both ordered buffet. We were not disappointed. I was able to make shell-less taco and burrito to my hearts content. Guacamole with a fresh taste beyond compare. We will now cross the river to enjoy Mexican rather than stay on our home side of the river. Hats off to not just one waitress, but two that made sure we were excellently taken care of. What a please surprise.
(caveat to this review) Given the reviews for this restaurant, I think we got there at a bad time.We were there on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm. While I appreciate that its not prime-time in a restaurant, we had to wait 10 mins to get seated. There was one other table filled in the entire place. Similarly, during our meal, we were waiting (a lot). We have 3 boys so eating early dinner on a Sunday isnt unusual for us and normally I have to worry about the food coming out way too fast but this was definitely not the case here. The food was not as great as I had expected (dry tamale and nachos supreme werent very supreme)
Cant believe the attitude from a waitress. Just not welcoming very rude. To make matters worse never received an apology after reaching out via Facebook. Message read but not acknowledged. I never had issues in the past may be management has changed. Please treat customers better is all. We should feel welcomed.
The last few times I have visited I have been disappointed. We even walked out a few visits ago bc it was not busy, and we were never greeted by our server. We waited 20-30 min. However, last night, was Cinco de Mayo and our anniversary. It was busy, but not as busy as other places. It was more like a busy Friday night. Anyways, I asked to order sopapillas at the end of our meal. I was told by our waitress that the kitchen wouldnt make it bc they were too busy. When we paid at the register the place was pretty much cleared out. Not sure what kind of restaurant turns down money, but whatever. I am not sure if I will be back.
Great food and service...6 months ago...fast forward recently... ⬇️So I recently tried to make an order via phone but no one answered even though someone I know told me they just picked up an order and the place was empty inside...!? You would think that they would want the business but I guess not...Wonder if they thought it was immigration...🤔
Only complaint is the no doubling coupons/specials at the table. If its a separate check, that makes absolutely no sense. I go in with my son, pay for myself - my dad goes with us, with his wife. Pays for them. I should be able to use a coupon if I have one, as should he. So if theres separate checks should we not tip separately too then? I wouldnt do that - but this rule has no reason. One coupon per check would make much more sense.
A couple of years ago I thought they had the best margaritas in Toledo. Now I feel theyve slipped a little bit. But still a great place very colorful and open. But please please keep the chemicals stink from the mop water out away from the dining area! I feel using mop water additives that add a smell is the worst thing you can do to a customer while trying to eat or drink a margarita. I for one do not like the smell of these chemicals Id rather smell the food not scented mop water additive! Joseon
Ordered a pick up order, two orders of combo fajitas. Plus I paid for a couple extra orders of tortillas, because you never get enough. I had to order take out for me because of needing to be home to baby-sit. I get home and find no not one tortilla in my bag. I called the manager told me if I couldnt make it back to get them I can pick them up the next day. I asked what good will they do me to have them tomorrow? He replied well you can buy something tomorrow and Ill give you for free the tortillas you paid for. What a way to make up for their mistake. I told him keep them and I just learned to take my business elsewhere.
The food was ok at best. My food was ok but my husbands was terrible. The overall service was horrible. I was tempted to just leave when the waiter took 30mins to bring the check. They did apologize for the service and gave us a discount. I had heard the service was bad but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Boy were they right.
The staff are supremely friendly and remembers you when you return. The chimmichangas are fantastic! The margaritas are also sooo good! Lunch prices end about 2pm ish (check the menu) and they really are the best deal. I wish their dinner prices werent so expensive and I could return more often.
It is a veggie dish they have its wrap in a tortilla shell on the inside it has sauteed onions, mushrooms, an Spanish serve with a cheese sauce OMG when I say this this is the truth I love it every chance I get I go over there and I get it only for 11.99 Serve with beans, rice and a guacamole salad, is the best
Ok, there are many Mexican restaurants in the area and ive tried most, but this one is worth the 25 mile drive passing buy one just a block away from my house in downtown Dundee Mi.The food was plentiful , I love the chili relanos, and cleaned my plate then finished the remainder of my wifes plate! I have issues with acid reflux but this food does not affect it at all, meaning its not greasy and they use quality ingredients!Bottom line is 5 stars no question!
My wife and i went on a slow tuesday to celebrate our wedding anniversary, after we were seated,we were completely ignored for a whole half hour,no one ever acknowledged us,yet they had a lot of staff on hand, after 32 mins of waiting we left, people who were seated after us were already receiving their orders.
The food was terrible...we have eaten there many times and every time we go the quality goes down...Im not sure what was wrong with the beans...off color and smell...grainy and we literally poured grease off...it was floating on top...enciladas were disgusting...not edible...we will never go back

2022-08-12Excellent authentic Mexican food at a fair price. We ordered out tacos and quesadillas on our family vacation. We placed the order online and the food was ready, hot, and packed up on time. We were very satisfied with the portions and taste. Would definitely return to Mi Hacienda.

2022-03-07Did not like my food, I only tried 2 bites, told the waiter and he didnt offer me anything different or to take anything off the price, in fact he walked away. The kids burger look frozen and taste horrible. The salsa is watered down and tates like straight tomato. My husband liked his enchiladas at least. Will not be returning.

2022-07-04Food was good and the wait staff was very friendly. We used to live in the neighborhood near by and we always enjoy coming back.
