Love the gyros and spicy feta! Beware though if you go to their website to order, theres a pop-up that goes through Door Dash with much higher prices, even if you choose to pick it up yourself. Close that and click Order for Easy Pickup to get to Orderspoon with the normal prices for pickup. Disappointed that I didnt notice this for my last order.
I absolutely love their chicken shawarma! I get it as part of the hummus platter and opt for spicy hummus as the base as well as spicy feta. The divinely flavored house sauce is also a must. Very spicy and very tasty. The quality has never dipped and I frequent often.
We go here about once a month and the food is always really good, fresh and fast. I like that the vegan/vegetarian items are not fried with meat items. There has been a few minor mess ups on my orders, but they always apologize and make up for it. The website could be more user-friendly, but the options are plentiful. There are several similar restaurants near by we could go back too but this is by far the best.
Amazing food! Anything you order will be delicious! I usually get the humus, which is the best humus I have ever tasted and I love Mediterranean food, and the gyro with an extra side of house sauce. They have fries similar to Five Guys. So sometimes theyre a little greasy/soggy but overall really good food, nice portions and reasonably priced!
This was my first time here and I was very pleased! The staff were very helpful and understanding when explaining the menu and how it works. The food was prepared fast and it was delicious! The meat was well seasoned, the sauces were wonderful, and the homemade hummus was to die for! My only complaint would be that the ingredients could be chopped into smaller pieces
This restaurant has been one that my husband and I visit frequently, because the food it so amazing. We typically order online, and pick up our food in the restaurant. On our most recent visit, there was a computer error and our online order did not print at the restaurant, so we had to wait for them to make it. As compensation for our wait, we were given four free desserts and a coupon for buy one meal get one free for our next visit. I honestly was not expecting anything! I cannot recommend this place enough! Amazing food and amazing customer service!
Just ate here for the first time and can’t say enough good things. Staff was so friendly. We explained that it was our first time there and was kindly walked through all options on the menu with recommendations! When enjoying our food, the manager came over and gave us another sample of the chicken because it was our first time.So sweet! We can’t wait to go back and try something else!
I love this place. I love the food and the location. The owner has been great when weve done catering or needed help in store. However, this place does not have a baby changing table, which means I had to change my sons diaper in my minivan in December. Yes, they are losing two full stars for that.
We think the food here is really good. You do a Mediterranean meal where you pick your ingredients like at Subway or Chipotle. The ingredients are fresh and very good the staff is quirky and fun. The atmosphere is that Stark industrial type that younger people seem to like but older people like us are not that into. But its fine. Much better than Greek Express across the street
I didn’t get the gentleman’s name who was working Tuesday January 22, at 8pm behind the cash register.. he had long hair... but he was AWESOME! Amazing customer service skills and new what he was talking about and described everything so well!!! I’d hire him!!! Oh yeah... the food is awesome too!!! 10/10 would recommend!
This is the 2nd time Ive pre ordered here and they dont have my order ready. They say ...,oh okay it looks like we have to make that. Defeats the purpose doesnt it!? Have your employees pay attention to the online orders! You know that other greek restaurant that opened up last year down the road from you?? You lost my business and a lot of people I have contacts with.
The food has good flavor, but its overpriced. Who charges $1 for the spice on your gyro?! And who ever heard of a Mediterranean restaurant that charged for feta cheese?! This nickel and dime style is too off-putting for me... Im glad I got to try it but I probably wont go back. Nazareth is across the street and its not only a very similar quality of food, but its a much better value.
Very good Gyros and frys. Was in the neighborhood over the weekend and stopped by because we were craving Gyros. This place did not disappoint, the gyro meat was fresh and very flavorful, the fresh fries were amazing and the hummus was also extremely good. Next time Im back on the NE side of Columbus I will be stopping again.
Excellent place to eat. Nice atmosphere with a laid back feel. The food is amazing and a good change of pace to the normal gyro meals. The House rice and sauce is really good. The staff is extremely friendly and will let you try anything before you order it if you ask. Really good sized portions for a good price. If youre debating about eating here, do it. You wont be disappointed.
The food here is always great. I was just in and got the spicy chicken shawarma with extra feta on house rice. Its my go too twice a week! And the fries are to die for! If you see a woman running around the kitchen doing a little bit of everything thats Sydney she is great! She gives me the best service every-time and my order is never missing a thing! You go girl!
Pretty disappointed because this place has such good reviews. The cashier wasn’t that friendly. We stood by the counter for a little bit before she asked if we were ready to order. It was our first and last time there. She was a lot friendlier to the people who came after us, I’m not sure why. She explained their menu and offered them samples of food before ordering. As far as the food, it was very bland for Mediterranean. I was disappointed to say the least. I️ asked for medium spicy but the food didn’t have any spice in it at all.
Stopped in yesterday because of a friend suggesting I check it out. This good be the best Gyro I have had. I got olives and a special hot sauce on it. Huge sandwich it was so good looking forward to trying the fries next time however had hard time just finishing the Gyro. You got to try this place you wont be disappointed.
Ate here for the first time and really enjoyed the food! The young man who waited on us was so helpful and had a great attitude! The only complaint I have and its really not a complaint...I was just bummed that romaine lettuce we ordered for our salads didnt make it into our bowls 🙄.
Recommended on Happy Cow, an app for nearby vegan and vegetarian eats. Mezze was really good, and their staff has to be the nicest folks working in customer service anywhere. My spouse and I had the rice/lentil bowl with falafel and the veggies were really fresh and crisp.
Absolute perfection, Steve was great he explained all the options, his is truly a veteren in Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered house rice with chicken Shawerma. First of all this is the only place that serves rice with vermicelli. The chicken spice was well balanced and just complimented the rice. Everyone can enjoy this place, since the meat is suitable for all food restriction, Steve even explained how he chooses the meat so that you know that you are getting served the best meat. Vegan options available. I definitely will make more visits
When i walked in i told the girl behind the counter that it was my 1st time. All she asked me how hungry i was when I asked what would she recommend. She didnt even explain the menu. Yet a couple walked in right after i placed my order. Now, the guy behind the counter thoroughly explained the menu to them. He even proceeded to offer samples. As far as the meat & sauces. Im like what the heck. Hopefully the food taste good.
This place used to be my Favorite. Best Mediterranean food on this side of Columbus. Good service , very friendly staff and Owner. However the food taste has changed a bit. Maybe due to some ownership changes but looks like the original owner is back in the house. Had food from here past week and did not see some of the issues i used to see earlier, like dried out rice and overcooked falafel . I just love their house sauce. Wish i could say the same about hummus, its gotten a lot tangy and less flavorful in my opinion. but Overall a nice place to eat!!!
If I could vote zero I would. Worst chicken gyro I have ever eaten!! Made with all dark meat that they do not tell you ahead of time and it was extremely greasy and fell apart! Plus they automatically charge you 10% on your carryout order!! Stay far away from this place!!! Complete ripoff!!
Food: 4Decor: 3Service: 5I came here with a friend and my gf for a late lunch Sunday around 3pm.1. Chicken gyro hummus plate, 8Pretty good, although I didnt really like the pickles.Service was excellent. One of the guys walked through the entire menu, explaining each item. They gave us a sample of the hot sauce along with four chocolate balls since it was our first visit. Hot sauce was really hot, and I didnt really like the chocolate balls.
Authentic and wholesome flavors and such great service. Julian is so knowledgeable about different spices and dishes and helping us make decisions and explore different dishes and totally excels at customer service and connecting with customers. I absolutely love love love coming here! Favorite is tabouli salad with chicken shawarma. Always perfect!
Visited this place after reading some positive reviews. I have ordered one gyro, falafel in appetizer and rice plate. The gyro was appetizing, meat was fully cooked and flavourful. Falafel and rice were also delicious with very strong flavours. I just love there house dressing and tzatziki sauce. Now lets talk about service!! Staff was not at all friendly and the food took quite a long time to be served than expected.
Our first experience with Mezze was at a church dinner and it was delicious. Our second opportunity was for takeout and it was amazing. Large portions that left us both full. Loved the seasoning of the house rice to along with your choice of protein. I choose the gyro protein (beef and lamb) with my rice bowl and the meat melted in my mouth. Plus the hummus is awesome. Prior to trying Mezze, I wasn’t a fan of hummus, but now I am.Highly recommend this place for a quick filling bite for either lunch or dinner.
Ive been coming here for years and have seen it change hands several times. With each comes some changes. The one I noticed today was an upcharge for feta cheese and olives $2 additional. Id rather they just raised the price. It felt a little like being nicked and dimed. Food still very good.
I love this place! The food is so good and the staff is very helpful. I usually am not a fan of Mediterranean food, but this is sooo delicious. The house sauce and coconut chocolate balls are delicious! Will always go here when I have a taste for Greek/Mediterranean food.
Place has lost its magic. I drove all the way from the Campus area to get a mezze plate, gyro and great customer service. Only to find out that the mezze plate is now twice the price that it used to be. So yes, it is over priced and the staff working were anything put hospitable.
Julian, who took my order, had an incredibly warm presence. After explaining that I had never been in before, he walked me through the whole process and answered any questions I had. He even remembered my name after I added on something to my order. The pita I had ordered was extremely heavy when I pulled it out of my to-go bag, which made me very happy. Even double wrapped, which is a great sign. I had asked for extra banana peppers, and he DESTROYED it with peppers, which was exactly what I was looking for. Ive never had Mediterranean food where I could get it at a spice level, so naturally I chose the hottest one (I prefer my food to punish me), and it was awesomely flavorful and pretty spicy. Falafel unlike Ive ever had, with very nice earthy tones. I ate 3/4 of my pita before I even realized I ordered 2 different sides of sauces to try; it was so flavorful that no sauce was needed. Although I did eventually try my sauces, and was very impressed with a cinnamon flavor in the tahini, and the creaminess of the tzatziki easily led me to believe that they were both house made. It makes me extremely sad that I do not live in Columbus, but I will fondly remember this place and stop by again when the warm tastes of the Mediterranean begin calling again.
I was extremely impressed with this place. A group of 11 people came in right before me and I still got my food in a timely manner. The kafta was the best Ive had in Columbus, shawarma was also very tasty. They were not shy with the spices as some places can be, everything was bursting with flavor. Also... GARLIC PICKLES!!! Loved it, will definitely be back.
I cant say enough about this place. Ive never been a huge greek/mediterranean fan but man the gyros here are incredible. If my work was closer Id probably eat here every day. The staff has always been super friendly too. No complaints at all, go here and youll love it.
Salad bowl with lamb... really making it difficult to eat vegetarian. This stuff is delicious. I also ordered the fries with the sauce and feta. OMG!!! Its no wonder I remain fat with delicious food like this. The only thing I would recommend that they do differently would be to offer a rewards program.
This is the worst Greek food Ive had in the Columbus area. Gyro was tasteless the sauce basically sour cream, the dip platter was bland. The restaurant was dirty and restrooms were filthy! Do yourself a favor and drive a few miles south on Hamilton road to King Gyros the hummus is fabulous the service is great friendly family owned business!
Mezze has stepped up their game from my last review. Stopped in tonight for the spicy chicken shawarma on rice bowl with 2 pita breads & extra house sauce. Before, I would eat my bowl and still be kind of hungry... and usually swiped some from my girlfriends bowl to make up for it. However this time I was stuffed! It was super fresh & tasted great. Looks like well be switching back from the the other place across the street!
My friend and I like to find new places to eat when we visit Columbus. This place was awesome. Im pretty sure I just found my favorite food in the entire world! We had Mujadara rice, chicken shawarma, and the house dressing. So delicious! The guy who helped us was so friendly and helpful. An all around great guy. We will DEFINITELY be back here! Im already looking forward to it! Lol
OMG!!! WHAT A FIND......our high school Model UN team kicked off our weekend with a team dinner @ Mezze -- and what a treat it was for ALL 20 of us!!!!!Steve, the owner, even met us at the restaurant and Ahmed, the manager, could not have treated us any better! The staff was all smiles and treated us as if we were in their homes! Now to the food....WOW!!! So fresh, so quick and so authentic! Fabulous hummus, amazing tabouleh, killer bowls/pit as/salads with TONS of items that created monster-sized portions! Love spicy food? Try the spicy feta w/ delicious pita!!!We will come back EVERY YEAR! Thanks for everything Steve!!!
I’m just gonna throw it out there, I think this place is one of the better mediterranean spot around. I have never had an issue with the staff, in fact I think they’ve gone beyond expectations. I’ve never had an issue with the food. On top of all that, it’s very affordable. It is the Chipotle of Mediterranean food
Mezze is back! We loved this place years ago and then it changed ownership and quality went down. The current owner Steve takes great pride in the quality of his food, and you can taste the difference. Were excited that one of our favorite places is back to its former glory!
My husband I got a Groupon for Mezze and we loved it! I got the rice bowl and he got the pita and they were both nicely sized portions with great ingredients. We absolutely love the tzatziki sauce too! I tried the grape leaves and wasnt a fan of them, but everything else we had was awesome! We have been back a few times since the Groupon and every time has been really good!
I absolutely love this place! The food is outstanding the employees are helpful and informative. the place could use a bit of redecorating but I do go there for the décor. The food is outstanding. One thing I would Chang is the cost it is a bit pricey just a bit. But all in all I highly recommend it.
I would like to start off with Baba ghonej was tasteless and runny. The price is so expensive for that size which is very small. The size of falafel Omg is so small for what you pay which is 8.75 bucks. The taste of the falafel is good though. They should make it bigger. The size of the meal is very reasonable. The place is not inviting at all. We walked in 8.30 pm all chairs were on the table. They were mobeing 8.55 pm they close at 10pm. I was are you kidding me ? I really wont recommand this place at all.
This service was horrible along with very poor quality food. I went twice since i didnt like it the first time, i decided to give it another try. The first time, i got a gyro. Instead of having the gyro meat on a spit like its supposed to be, the meat was thrown on a stove and saturated in a bunch of butter or oil. The pita was hard and split into 2 pieces when i held it. It also costed extra for tzaziki. The second time i went i got a bowl with rice and some other stuff and the rice was very undercooked. This place is also very overpriced for the quality of food. Coming from a Greek, im very disappointed. Its a good idea, but there is definatly room to improve.
I ordered a rice bowl with chicken and hummus. I think it is ridiculous that they charge $1 each for a few olives and a tablespoon of feta cheese. I have been to many middle eastern-style restaurants, and I have never been charged extra for olives or feta cheese. While the rice bowl was good, the hummus was inedible. I am pretty sure it was just tahini and olive oil. It was oily and bland. I dont think Ill be coming back. Go across the street to Nazareth for a cheaper and better meal!
Incredibly disappointing chicken gyro which is improperly marketed as a pita sandwich; true loaf of pita is huge, this wasnt. For starters, gyros avg $4-6 while this was $8.75. Hindsight 20/20, I wouldve driven about half a mile down Hamilton for an Arbys gyro [priced at $3.99 with comparable quality]. Furthermore, I dont appreciate having undesirable chicken bits mixed in with the actual chicken.. the type you have to stop eating to remove with a tissue. As a whole, if you want value go to Arbys, if the price doesnt bother you, try the Goat down the street. Avoid eating run-of-the-mill gyros because Mediterranean food is amazing & doesnt deserve to be McDonaldized. Trust me, i grew up on it.
Open but not really ready for business. All customer facing surfaces are visably dirty. Bathrooms were not ready for geusts neither was tea. All this may be normal for a business that has been through a busy push but being as its slow and almost 1:30pm its inexcusable, the staff are friendly though.
When it first opened it was fantastic but as time and staff changes go by so has the quality of food. The original owner was here all the time at first and I would come back because he was a great personality. Ok to stop in but would not recommend going out of your way to go here.
I stumbled upon this place while turning around in the parking lot of the shopping center that it is located in. I thought what the heck Ill give it a try...I am addicted! I live in Newark and I bring my wife here on the weekends for lunch we both love it! We drive 45 min just to come for lunch. THEY ARE OPEN ON MONDAY!!
They are bringing customer service back !!!Steve is an amazing uber friendly guy who make you feel so welcomed the moment you walk in the door .Beside the great conversation. The only thing that could rival the customer service is the food itself .Highly recommend you stop by this gem!!

2022-05-26I enjoy this place. The owner is friendly and all the food is tasty. Everything is made fresh so if you are getting something other than a bowl it can take a minute, but nothing crazy.I especially like that they are quick to offer samples if you are undecided.

2022-03-19Every time I go to Mezze the employees are SO friendly and quick! I absolutely cannot get over how good the food is, too. I always get the Greek pita with chicken shawarma with spicy feta (a must), rice, and veggies. I get extra house sauce on the side as well as fries. So, so tasty! Definitely try Mezze if you’re in the mood for something yummy!

2022-01-30I Love this place. Great customer service with a smile and all around kind staff and genuine. Food is fresh and organic in taste. Limited salt in the food. I love this. Salt is bad for you and one will not find it here. Great place.

2022-03-14Food was awesome. we loved it . The sauces are great loved the Tahnini sauce However, I would avoid anying that is labeled spicy. It seems it is hot sauce addition.

2021-11-24First visit. I really wanted to love it. It was okay, but flavor and texture wasnt what I expected from Schwarma cut off a vertical rotisserie. It was more like grilled chicken. I ordered two meals to go and specifically asked if the sauces (on the side) were in the bag. She told me they were. Guess what? No sauce when I got home. I think I may have actually paid extra for them too. Food was a bit dry without any sauce. Great concept. Not great execution. Wish I had my gratuity back.

2019-04-20Everything tasted great. We did takeout and there wasnt a ton of food for what we paid but it was tasty. I got shawarma chicken with all veggies.

2022-01-12Wow. This place has really went down. I stopped in for carry out, and my gyro meat was dry, after the cashier pulled it from a container and slapped it on the grill...and salad was unimpressive. Its probably my last time here, and this used to be my favorite Mediterranean carry out spor.
