May I just say ..wowza! I dont even remember what I went in for but dang. You got some hot fellas in this place. That one is garden center is prime real estate. Im not certain his name but I think someone called him rob on the radio. So glad I forgot what I needed just so I can return again. Ill make sure to only get one item at a time and need help with each one 🔥🤤
HUGH store bright and clean. This store is like a Home Depot, Lowes, and a bargain outlet type store ALL 3 TOGETHER 🤓. All the staff that I encountered were very helpful & polite. Now, the 11% back rebate/cash back thing Im not to fond of😣 its a mail-in rebate for Menard bucks. The store has a little bit of everything! The prices are fair & the rebate makes them very good!
This is a great store, even compared to Home Depot. They have great prices and carry a little of everything. I can definitely say that there selection of lumber is by far better than any other store in the area. The lumber is in much better condition, the selection is great, prices are far lower, and it is extremely organized. Every time I have been here the store is very clean and organized well. Give Menards a shot, you will not be disappointed!
Wouldve got 5 stars if it wasnt for the creepy associate lady stalking my wife and I from the light bulb isle like we were aliens or about to steal something. Its really hard to fit a cart with over $250 worth of merchandise into my pockets, the 4x6 utility mat alone would require a magician or some exceptional skill to walk out of the store without anyone noticing. Overall I still like the store tho.
Terrible customer service. Bought a brand new washer and extended warranty. Washer has broke in the same place 3 times. Nothing but headaches getting it fixed each time. From Apts set up by warranty company and no service member shows up multiple times, to now its been a month from filing a claim and still have a broken washer and no refund. Received email the cost of appliance alone, not the warranty plan or tax, would be refunded on the 1st from the warranty company and I should receive it within 7 to 14 days still have not received it. Called to verify address it was being sent to and the menards customer service representative told me no you are wrong it was not approved until the 10th even though I have an email stating otherwise. Asked to speak to someone else on the matter told they would call me back and still have not heard back. Would not recommend buying any large appliance or extended warranty.
Friendly and knowledgeable workers, clean and organized store and facilities, comparable prices for food and beverages, many different varieties of products from appliances and home remodeling products to home housewares and pet supplies, good sales and affordable prices on pretty much all of the items they have.
Attempted to buy dishwasher. Ask girl about delivery and install. She didnt know or try to find out either. She did say delivery was 80 dollars plus gas mileage. Also 20 dollars more to move appl from truck when arrived from truck already there to house.is this possible?
Menards is a great alternative to Lowes or Home Depot. Their prices are considerably lower and they offer an 11% rebate regularly. It usually ends on Saturday when they do run it. They staff is considerably more helpful than other diy stores. Menards is a step down from Walmart.
I visited my first Menards this past weekend while visiting friends who just moved to the area. We were all so surprised how great it was. So many great deals and the prices were just right. I’m sad I don’t have one closer to me so I could shop there more often. Our cashier Teri was fantastic! She was so friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be stopping by next time I’m in the area.
Needed building materials, my husband changed his mind on the culvert/drain pipe. Easy to exchange but a lot of walking through the store - building materials desk in the very back, exchange/return desk in the very front. Staff we interacted with were all very courteous and helpful. Guy in loading area very helpful and congenial, my husband really appreciated that he was so pleasant!
This was our first time shopping at Menards. The experience was great in every way. The salespeople were helpful in the flooring section and helped us to get the flooring we needed on order. Everything was as expected. The only negative was that we were never notified that our order had arrived at the store for pickup. I got on the website and entered the information only to find that it had been there for 5 days. In researching flooring, we found Menards to have the best pricing for the features that we wanted, compared to the other local big-box stores. We will be back!
This store has simply the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. We will not being doing business with Menard’s ever again.An incorrect product was delivered as part of a large order, and the store has made no extra effort to correct the problem beyond re-ordering the right item to correct their mistake. No effort to rush, no effort to speed up fulfilling the order, no effort to get it delivered as soon as it arrived at the store. It’s been nearly a month since the initial delivery and Menard’s has yet to live up to their end of the standard deal of buying and selling.
So Ive heard all about Menards and Im not one that likes to complain a lot so were doing our bathroom and I decided to go there first thing I was looking for was a tub only faucet that means no shower included went to the lady ask her where it was cuz I couldnt find them she was really rude she says theyre right there I says theres none there and she goes they are there I said can you take me there and she sent me with another girl the other girl couldnt find them and we come back and she said well theyre there I said can you take me and she just went back to doing what she was doing and wouldnt help me then I went to go get two sheets of plywood and it was damaged the corners all four corners they were the last two or damage I asked him if they could come down on the price a little bit cuz of the damage she said no with the price of wood we can get every penny we can get so I think Menards is out of my realm of going anywhere
This is easily my favorite store to shop at. I come all the way over here from Pennsylvania because this store is worth the drive. I buy tools groceries and all kinds of neat gadgets you cant find anywhere else. Their tools and home improvement sections are way better than the other hardware stores. They also carry a lot of my grocery items I get on a regular basis. Last but not least the 11% rebates are great. I come here and get all my groceries here and get rebates for all my groceries I normally get somewhere else. I cant recommend this store enough I would give them more than 5 stars if I could.
There were no prices on anything. I not only had to download an app to tell me the price and location of items because there were no employees around to help, but I had to screenshot each item on the app because there were no stickers for the cashier to scan. On top of that, I asked for the shortest, cheapest 2X4 they had. They told me it was $13 and brought me 2, 5 ft pieces. I told them I only wanted one. They not only made me but both pieces but also charged me a $2 cut fee for cutting a piece of wood I didnt ask for them to cut. On top of that, as I was walking out, I found the piece of lumber I had actually asked for. It was $5.29. so I paid $10 more for something I didnt ask for and didnt want.
This large, well-organized store is a pleasure to shop at. There is a wide variety of merchandise available in addition to home improvement items. They also offer a limited selection of grocery items, seasonal merchandise, & pet supplies. The employees are knowledgeable & helpful & there is never a wait at the registers; they open additional registers if there are three people in line.
Love to find the stuff I need but I hate the big walk the place is huge and try to not miss what I need so I dont have double back 4 clicks .If you been in one then you know the score decent people good prices and a lot of stuff you need and want .Lumber is good just like everywhere high in price due to demand.
I never leave Karen-style reviews for anything, but this place honestly deserves it. Some of the employees dont know what theyre talking about and have given me incorrect info. Ive also had debacles with purchases/orders several times. We got carpet from here a few months ago. When we needed to get a second load of the same carpet, we presented the same SKU to an employee and somehow ended up with a different color carpet. We had to wait a week for the right one to come in. We ordered some decking material, and it took about 20 minutes for them to find our order. When we again needed additional material of the same type about two to three weeks later, we find out that its been discontinued. Frustrated, we tried to return what we had because we wanted all our material to be the same, and they tried to hit us with a restocking fee (which they did waive). The final straw was tonight, when I stood at an empty building materials counter for two to three minutes while employees at the counter 25 feet away were standing there and talking to each other. Between waiting, and the ridiculous way they have their building materials set up in a separate area, I had to spend ten minutes getting a single item. Spend the extra 5 minutes driving to the home depot in Niles.
Ordered $7,000 worth of building material that was to be delivered in 3 days. Meanwhile I re-check my order, seeing they have 20 non-treated 4x6’s on my order. I wrote down my part numbers with description and handed it to them for the order. I go to the store the next day and show the issue. They have 3 of the treated ones I need. I get a refund on those and drive all the way to Mentor to the Menards that has them in stock. 4 days later I call and ask where’s my stuff? We’ll be out Friday (a week since I ordered). Thursday night at 8:45 pm I get a voicemail saying they have ZERO of 52 sheets of metal siding I had on the order. Friday rolls around, truck shows up, invoice says there’s 52 on the truck. I call the store right away to make sure they didn’t think I actually received it since the call the night before. It’ll be in by Tuesday. I call and put on hold for 45 minutes while they “find my order”. I drive to the store and told they have no record. I let them listen to voicemail of being out of stock, they re-issue my order to be delivered today. Get home from work and I have 60 gray panels and one green. Not even close to what I ordered. Not bothering to go/call and complain. They’ll just never see me in that store again and I’ll let everyone I know how my experience was. Inventory accuracy would be better if the order pullers could count....
My experience was horrible & service was horrible. I picked up a surround for my shower. They would NOT help me secure it to my car. I asked 3 employees they basically brushed me off. I will NEVER shop this business again.. Home Depot / Lowes from here on out where they will help you.
Poor I had my mask on but it slide off my nose was told about this at registry. This employee was so rude told me I didnt have to pay for my stuff which was 400.00 so cashier had to void my order. I did have my shots.But employees their were so rude.She didnt care if you were losing business. I wasnt the only person who complained about their employees .Which was mother day.I asked to speak to a manager was told to leave the store.I cant believe they treat the public this way.
I love Menards ! I can get lost in this place. Early in the morning is the time to go. Not many customers but a ton of employees around to help ya with what ya need. I only give em four stars because one, I dont love the fact that they dont carry more choices for brands of power tools. And also the fact that they dont other some services, like I know they dont cut pipe to size and thread it for ya. Some of the other big box stores offer that to ya. All in all I do like Menard s better that the other large box stores.
The employees in the yard refuse to help you. They were laughing and giggling like teenagers as they drove away from me on forklifts. I purchased items online and when I show up some of the items werent available. So they send me to the front of the store for a refund. Some of the items werent pulled and I had to get them from inside the store myself. After all of the running around for an order i paid extra for the convenience. Im leaving and the 2 forklifts are racing across the yard and one has his forks 2 in the air. The savings is not worth all of the trouble. Ive never had trouble like this with a local lumber yard. Ill chalk it up as a painful lesson.
Last week on April 21st I placed a pickup order for some lawn supplies (broadcast spreader, weed and feed, and a shovel). The pickup station workers were great and had me loaded up and back on my way.On Sunday I opened up the 85lb broadcast spreader to put together. Much to my disappointment the spreader had been used. The hopper had water drip markes from being rinsed out, between the tire treads there was dirt (I open this on a concrete floor garage), the nut / bolt bag had been cut open and sealed back up with scotch tape, and some parts were zip tied together (Not from factory).I called the store yesterday 4/26 and talked with a lady up front who transferred me back to the department that deals with broadcast spreaders. The lady I first spoke with in the department said they would give me a call back in a few hours. Little later a gentleman called and said best they could do was $10 off. First I had never requested money off. I simply asked if Menards could have UPS or FedEx pick the one up I have and then deliver a NEW one. I simply want a spreader. 2nd I explained to the gentleman I live 40 miles away in New Castle. Why is it my responsibility to take time out of my day to return a product 40 miles away that had been used?I did not want to try and assemble the spreader not knowing if it had been returned because of not working correctly or if there were missing parts from the package being already open / used.I have always been a fan of Menards with growing up in Ohio. They have some great deals and their prices usually beat other named stores. But with this store experience I will no longer do business with Menards. $10 off was a joke when all I was trying to get was a new spreader that I had paid for. I will now be making a special 40 mile trip each way to return the spreader for a full refund and will no longer do business with Menards.Unhappy customerLuke
I would rate it 0☆if I could. We ordered 700sq feet of carpet and padding on May1st. We were told to call in on the following Monday because it should be in by then. Life got busy so we called on the following Thursday, thinking for sure it should be in. My boyfriend talks to someone and asked if it was in, gave them the order number. He said yep its here. My boyfriend said ok great we will be in this weekend to get it. So he goes in on Saturday and goes inside the building. After waiting for customer service he was directed to go in his car and drive around to the back. 45 min later it was his turn to pick up the carpet and the associate said its not here. So my boyfriend was irate and asked to speak to the manager. So after a confrontation with the manager, my boyfriend said just give me my money back. The manager then said that there was a 25% re stocking fee...wait what? You dont even have the product after saying it was there and wasting half a day. So fast forward 1 week and 3 days later we have now had to ask the bank for a refund. He went to Home Depot and had our carpet purchased and cut and ready to go in 30 MINUTES... for real 30 MINUTES! We have no desire to shop here again. On top of the fiasco, we asked for a 1800 number to talk to someone...of course the number says to submit a letter request and theyll check into it... yeah Im sure they will!!?? Shop at your own risk. We are now waiting for a refund from the bank!! I will be researching how to get a hold of someone higher up tomorrow!!!
I leave both positive and negative reviews. This Menards trip was is certainly negative. I drove an hour and a half because it was the closest and I had a gift card. I started with picking out 116 boards for $1.65 each. Mind you the price was stapled to the display boards. I went to pay for them, with about $3k of other boards, and they rang up $1.72. I asked the kid to look at the sign on the display that was 15 up in the air. And I offered to pay the $1.65 price it was marked. She said she cant due that. I asked her to ask her boss. Her dept manager came over and said no. I asked why. She said she could not sell it at the marked price because they had an 11% sale so I could have one or the other. What? I couldnt believe her careless explanation. I told her I had a truck bed and a 18 trailer to fill with deck boards and two bys. I added that I drove a long way to get there. She again said I have to use the computer price not the price marked. I asked her if she was going to loose a + $3k order over $8. She said yup and walked away. I was disgusted and felt disregarded. I will not go back.
Great selection at the store. But every time we have a special order it is a hassle. Order was wrong (nor our error but theirs). Went back same day to fix it and it took over an hour and two service desks and they had to make several calls. It is beyond frustrating. Customer service flow is not good here. Praying our order is right
I just visited 2 days ago & I just walked out 😂 But seriously how have I never been there. It’s big as Walmart + Lowe’s & their parking lots combined! Has an upstairs! Everything under the sun. I picked up cat liter, drinks, cleaning supplies, hardware! The service was great, super helpful & knowledgeable ! Heather ! Alexis! The male manger, I forget his name! But he was awesome! I’m driving 40 minutes to Menards instead of 4 minutes to Lowe’s or Home Depot 👏🏻👏🏻
This is like a giant toy store for adults hahahaha. I love this place... And they take plenty of my money LOL. The ONLY complaint I have ever had about menards is how their 11% rebate works. Cant do it online, only mail in. I wish they would improve that :( I often make big purchases elsewhere as this 11% discount never really saves me any money. Who the hell remembers to mail out rebates? Hoping to see them join in on the age of technology soon. LOL
I purchased a chest freezer in March 2020. I was told it would arrive in May, then June, then August, and then September. I called today and spoke with Stephanie, who claimed that Whirlpool was no longer making that freezer, and tried to get me to buy a Menards brand freezer instead. I explained that the energy ratings and consumer reports reviews do no match. She said “ok” after I asked why I was not notified that it was no longer being manufactured. Then I asked for it to be canceled and refunded. I was told I would get a refund in 5-7 business days. I then went to Home Depot and bought one right away, getting delivered next week. Then, Menards calls back and explains that since my order is older than 90 days, they cannot refund, but only give me store credit. Then I spoke to the manager Gwen, who said the freezer is coming in mid September. I said no, I want my money back, and she said she cannot do that. Why I would spend more money via store credit at this store is beyond me. So I have to dispute the charge. If they were going to make this right, they would contact corporate and fix this. But instead I have to deal with this, and out $500 since March because of them.
Was disappointed that they only had 1 option for a tub faucet spout replacement. Did not buy it.Did find a couple other items that I purchased in the regular part of the store.Bought a knock out rose and had a difficult time choosing since they were all such great healthy plants with multiple buds.Found the landscaping fabric I needed in a larger roll than I thought was available- so that was a plus. Also saw they had fertilizer for newly seeded lawns. Im getting ready to seed my front lawn, so will be getting some now that I know it is available.
As always the majority of the store was amazing but they need to upgrade their house brand of hand tools... I have had nothing but issues with them and Stihl 20 gold elsewhere when I need any sort of single sockets ratchets for things like that yeah I understand they have a lifetime warranty that doesnt mean I want to change my tools out every six weeks because they continue to brake sockets any time you put any sort of true effort into a stuck Bolt
Went to store after looking up a product online to make sure they had it in stock. Got to the store to find out they have a really bad inventory system. After 39 minutes of wandering around with an associate was able to find a board 2 feet longer but the right width. Had to pay more money for something I can’t use. Staff was short with me as well. Not very pleased with the experience.
I ordered a sink cabinet online and it was shipped with its original packaging, no extra protection. The cabinet was delivered broken inside, it was in very bad shape.. I had to fix it like I got it from junkyard. I filed a complaint and they dumped it on the manufacturer... Keep in mind that Menards has no customer support via telephone.. you need to use mail!!! They have a rebate system that I doubt it works.. I sent my rebate months ago and never got anything back.. it’s the first and last time to deal with them.. lesson is learned.
Love the store itself! The mail in rebates are great!!! But when you get out into the yard and try to pick up your order you have lazy workers who don’t know anything about what they’re doing. Give them simple directions on how you would like your trailer loaded and you they have no common sense, strongly considering taking my business elsewhere, this is RIDICULOUS!!
Absolutely terrible place first off my father who has terrible breathing problems gets hassled to wear a mask or not be allowed in. Who owns menards? Maybe you people should learn the rules the government puts out. I’ll probably sue just to waste someone’s time. Your store should probably teach your careless employees better instead of wasting my time they are clueless and can read
Its nice to be able to check their inventory online to make sure they have items in stock and have it actually be accurate. Associates are friendly and willing to assist, no matter how heavy an item is, they will also load items for you in the rain, without complaint.
Its my first stop for any hardware for our home. Fixing up our bathroom 80% of items replaced was from here. So wish this family friendly place would come to PA. I would work there if it was closer. Owner is good to his workers which is rare! Friendly and honest workers makes me want to go back daily if I could! Love 11%rebates!
If i could leave no stars.. I absolutely would... Unbelieveable.. Visted the store to pick up materials that the website and person behind the desk said they had.. Showed up.. They didnt have what they said so we had to spend more to get something else...then..after i paid for it and drove around back to load.. It wasnt where we were told it was.. So after going through 5 employees that wouldnt know the difference between treated and untreated wood and a very rude and mean manager.. We found the roll of pipe we needed... Then the manager proceeded to tell me...after i showed her the receipt that we couldnt take it.. We needed to pull around and someone would load us.... We spend $1200!!!! Never again!!! Ill take my business elsewhere
Great prices when compared to their competitors! Not only home goods but food items including frozen foods as well. Pick up some last minute Easter items at rock bottom prices. Helpful employees can be found ready & willing to help in ANY way they can. Super respectful as well. Fast, friendly, efficient checkouts. Love this store!
I have a mixed review. The staff is nice, prices are great but I would never recommend this place for appliances unless you are able to install them yourself. When I asked about installation they say they have contractors available. I should have asked more questions.They need their own install dept instead of farming it out to individuals. I felt uneasy when I called some of them and get a generic voicemail not a business one. I dont like using a installer the store is not responsible for. Something goes wrong thats your tough luck.One installer they recommended wanted $225.00 to install a replacement dishwasher that takes less than 30 minutes!!!I wish I had bought my dishwasher at Lowes.
I’ve never heard of this store before, I usually just went to other hardware stores, However the customer service I received made me feel very welcomed! A friendly guy named Denzel helped me find what I needed and even educated me on some fun facts about that product that I normally wouldn’t have know if I shopped on my own. I’m not too hardware savvy so it was very refreshing having Denzel make me feel like I belonged and welcomed into this store. I will 100% recommend this store to my friends and family!
They have anything and everything you could want, including a small grocery department with the lowest priced milk in town. The staff is all top shelf AND know their store well. Anyone that I know that works there, states that they love working there, and, it shows. They are treated very well by the company. Drawbacks-----its a huge store. The concrete floor is very hard to walk on for any length of time. With the Graying of America, you would think they would put in more than the two electric carts that they currently have.The 11% discount think is a little bit strange also. We live close, if we want something right away---thats our go to store. I would give them 5 stars, if they had more electric carts and even benches throughout the store where you can stop and sit for a few minutes on your long haul through that big place.
Very different type of store. You get your own building supplies unless you ask but you save huge on many products. I pay half price for siding and nearly half on roofing shingles after rebate. Deck materials are similar to other stores except for decking boards are nearly half price. Their wood is premium quality. Love this place
It reminded me of the department stores of old. They literally had a little bit of everything here - groceries, houseware, electronics, hardware store, etc. It felt a lot like Walmart meets Lowes. The prices werent much lower than competitors, although everyone I knew was raving about how cheap they were. What put me off the most was the clientele that it attracted.The rebate program is quite antiquated, and takes a solid 2 months to get your rebate. In this day and age, it should all be quick but I think they are using the 2 months to float other peoples money for profit. If it is a discount, dont make your customers jump through hoops.
Very disappointed experience. Last Wednesday, I took my 78 year old dad with me to your Warren location. I had purchased 7 led lights, a soil compactor and foundation pipe. During our travel time to your location I had been telling my dd how impressed I had been with the store and your amazing staff. I parked the truck out front, left dad in the truck and I went in to find him a scooter ( which he, a US vet) is in need of to get around. I brought one out to him, we made it about half way in the store and the battery went dead. The time was about 1:30pm. I went to find another, you staff informed me that they only have 2 available. After he sat there for 10 min, there was enough power to get him to the front door. I was unable to continue my/our shopping, decided to head to the pickup, received my order and traveled 45min home listening to him complain about his experience. Your Warren staff is aware of the customer dissatisfaction concerning this issue. People with disabilities do use home improvement products.
I drove 40 miles on the first hour of a sale only to find they didnt have the item I was looking for. I asked 3 different sales people where it might be and they could not find it either. I did get a good price on a lawn mower that was in the flyer so it was worth my trip.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever had. I ordered a 40x72 building and the whole experience since I paid for it has been painful. Jessica the manager is beyond rude and snotty when I ask for help with the 1 building that turned into 15 orders. And to top it off they sent the wrong color trim and wont answer the phone. NEVER AGAIN WILL I SET FOOT IN THAT STORE.
Ive been looking for a particular product in a specific color for months. No where locally had it at a decent peice, but I could order it from your store! Ordering was easy, staff at the physical store were helpful when I had questions, pick up was a breeze! Literally from the time we pulled up to the door, out items were being loaded on 15 minutes!!! Sadly, we dont have a Menards in Pennsylvania so we drove the 10 round trip to pick up the purchase.Only negative, all of your items (with few exceptions) should be eligible for direct ship to home!! I purchased siding... A tractor trailer could have been commissioned to deliver that to me at my house or to a nearby terminal.... Estes and Duie Pyoe both service PA and OH!
Didnt like this place when it first opened bacause I couldnt find anything, but now that Im a regular customer, I love this place bacause Im more familiar with the layout.The cashiers are always pleasant , ask any employee on the floor where something is and they know , not like Lowes or Home Depot. And Tim in the paint Dept is the best !
I would not recommend shopping at Menards because of a recent issue I have had. I purchased close to 700 Sq. Ft of tile for a project. Since it was a larger quantity they needed to place a special order for the product. This special order took 4 weeks to come in and another 3-4 days to get to my house using their delivery service.My wife and I were doing the project and it took a few months to finish it all. I go in to return 250.00 worth of leftover tile and the clerk tells me that they will only be able to give me store credit since it was over 90 days (by 2 days). I was surprised that the delivery time was held against the return time and asked for a manager to intervene. The young manager was apologetic although dismissive and walked away before I felt the conversation had ended.I called and spoke with the general manager, Ralph. He said it wasnt at all unreasonable that this delivery time was held against me and he suggested I should head down from Cleveland to do my grocery shopping there if I didnt have any big projects coming up to spend the store credit on.Next step - Call the Corporate office. They said everything needs to be submitted in writing and refused to let me speak to anyone in customer service to help me resolve this issue.I will NOT buy another item from here and would rather sell off my 260.00 Store Voucher than get my own money back based off of their crappy return policy.I did not pick a 1 star review only because they do have a great selection of products. I just with the customer service was as good at this store as it was in the Dayton stores where I previously shopped.
I go here at least once a month. A few things could go smoother like getting outside stuff and once a floor guy tried to give me bad advice when he did not know I lay floors for a living. Cabinet prices are not marked. That said I usually give bad reviews but the place is well worth the drive an insulation blower cost me 37 dollars compared to Lowes and home depot wanting 250. This place has saved me tons of cash and a rebate on top of that. Even my wife likes this store. I am taking off a star because i will not wear a mask to shop here and they forgot the j channel for my siding.
Prices and selections for landscape materials far better than Lowes and HD. Saved $60-$75 PLUS 11% REBATE. The rebate program needs adjusted. First its a hassle to MAIL IN and SECONDLY, waiting 6-8 weeks is ridiculous. In 21st century, online would be more effective, timely and cost effective for Menards.
It was fine I guess. I waited in line to find out where the floor leveler was. When I finally got to a person who could help me,he started to help me when another person stopped us to ask the associate a question. Instead of politely saying he was helping me, he walked off to help this other person. I was frustrated but I he did come back a few minutes later.
They have everything your looking for your home for a great price! They always have some good sales going on! They have flooring, plumbing, electrical, appliances, lawn and garden, small toy section for kids, pet supplies, small food section, small bath and body section, paint and more! I wish they were located closer to me but the 25-30min drive it worth it! There is always someone around if you need any help!
Menards sell 5lbs propane tanks. I have a brand new one never filled. Customer service person told me they dont fill them, only 20 lbs tanks. I went to 3 other employees and all said they wont fill mine, one of the said the smallest they will fill is 11 lbs tanks. I suggested to all 4 of them to not sell the 5 pound tanks if you wont fill them.I promptly went to Tractor supply and they happily filled my tank.This is just a small suggestion to better serve your customers.
We absolutely love to go to Menards when we travel to Ohio from PA. But, you are not allowed in the store without a mask. I have severe asthma and cannot wear a mask. Your workers were bringing in carts from the parking lot. Were they wiped off. No. Get your priorities right.
We placed an online order for windows. They gave us a date to pick up and my husband called to make sure they had come in. When we went to pick them up, after about half hour to 45 minutes we were told that only 1 of the 5 windows was there for pickup. The other windows would not be in for another 2 weeks. Not very well organized when you order an item for pick up.
Menards is a great home improvement center. The employees and knowledgable and very helpful. They beat both home Depot and Lowes to on customer service and pricing.ill never go to home Depot or Lowes ever again! There employees are not trained well at either of those places and they are higher priced
More selection than any other store in the Warren-Youngstown area and, while renovating rental houses, I have been to them all. You might save ten cents on something at another store but the extra trip is not worth it. And, you may not find what you need at a lessor store. The store is clean and well organized. Save time and go to Menards first. Professionals do.
This place is truly awesome. They have everything you could possibly need under one roof. Including cereal LOL. But honestly the staff is very helpful the store is really big and you can spend a lot of money here. Which is a good thing because generally things are a bit cheaper here
I rehab houses for a hobby, so I know Menards, Home Depot, and Lowes very, very well. This is what I like about Menards:--Their vinyl selection is better than anyone elses.--Their tile selection is the best of the three.--You can get Oops paint for $5/gallon.--Their lighting selection is great.This is the first time Id been to this particular Menards. When the person in the lighting department couldnt answer my question, she called over her supervisor who could. When I called to make sure my phone order had been processed, the gal who took the call walked all the way to the back of the store to make sure it was there. In the hour that I spent there, I had three or four people ask if I needed help. Very positive, friendly staff. And I love their 11% rebate sales!
At the cash register, one of my items rang up that it wasn’t in stock. Obviously it was in stock because I had one and there were two others on the shelf. The register locked out the item, and only a supervisor could key it to allow the sale. I waited 15 minutes for the supervisor, Caleb that never showed. There was no communication to the cashier that he wouldn’t be able to come anytime soon. No status update nothing. The cashier was great. She kept chatting away to me despite my growing anger and the anger of those in line behind me. At last, I had to leave because I was on my lunch break and could not wait any longer.
If zero or negative stars was an option they would get the worst score possible. I purchased a special order pole building and my entire experience was an absolute nightmare. They took my money with a smile, but when it came time to take delivery, they screwed up just about every aspect of my order. My POLE building didnt include the POLES as part of their kit! I had to pay almost $2000 out of pocket for 18 6x6x22 posts. I spent hours and hours on the phone with the building materials manager complaining about the ridiculousness of the situation, only to be offered zero solutions. That was their biggest screw up of my project so far, but their have been many others along the way. Their special orders department is a dumpster fire. They WILL screw up your order. My roof needed 6 10 foot long ridge caps, and they sent (and charged me for) 60! It took me 4 hours and a full tank of gas to load up and return their mistake. Associate employees that I would speak with would tell me how poorly run their store is, and that the managers routinely blow off customer complaints. My project is already nearly $3000 over budget and it is 100% due to MENARDS MISTAKES! If my pole building wasnt already halfway built, I would return every last item I purchased and never give them another penny as long as I live. I have all the paperwork to prove everything I just stated, I welcome anyone to message me about my situation. I could talk all day about how terrible this company is. I truely hope this review goes viral, so that no one makes the same mistake I did.
Ordered 3 boxes of hardwood flooring online, took 3 weeks to get 3 completely different types of flooring, I sent 2 of the incorrect boxes of flooring back and it took 9 WEEKS for them to respond to my emails for help on getting the right materials exchanged, finally they responded 9 WEEKS later saying they sent me the exchange but they only sent ONE BOX!!! NOW I HAVE TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN AND IT WILL UNDOUBTEDLY TAKE FOORR EEEVEEER!!! NOT CONSUMER FRIENDLY AT ALL
Cheated by price tag. They had clearance price on outdoor furniture which someone marked down at a lower price than it should have been. I loaded my purchases on a cart and then the salesclerk told me that they have merchandise in the back. When she checked the price it was higher. They then proceeded to charge me the higher price. The manager also charged me the higher price. When I reported it to higher management they ignored my requests for resolution. Dont expect to be treated fairly by Menards. I wont buy a stick of gum from them. Shop the competitors. THEY ARE CHEATERS.
The store is always so helpful. Ask question about a product and the sales assistant wont direct you to an area, they will walk with you to the area to make sure you find what youre looking for. The counter staff will not only give you good information oh, they will pick up a pen and write it out for you. The products are pretty good too.
Was at warren ohio location today. I was trying to purchase recessed lighting. It was discovered that one of the 4 pack boxes was missing two. I still needed a total of 6. I offered to purchase the half box for half price. Store department manager and store management refused. Guess Im shopping at Lowes or home depot for future purchases . Poor customer service.
Love the store, very bright and spacious. Competitive pricing for sure and HUGE selection. Love the grocery isles, good prices there as well. BUT, I HATE the loud music! Constant yelling of rock music makes for a less than pleasant experience. If there needs to be music in the store, background music without vocals would be so much better. And turn it down.
Menards is way better than Home Depot and Lowes. Items from plumbing, lights, bathroom fixtures and cabinetry are higher quality in my opinion.The employees are more helpful and prices are competitive with the other two big box stores except in bulk material items (ie. Insulation, quickcrete, lumber)I loved the selection and decorative ideas displayed. Cant wait to get back
This was my experience: After shopping for hours and finally checking out which our bill was $120.00, we were heading for the doors and I was stopped by an employee asking me where the outdoor dog barking contol was. Mind you it is a bird house that sends a piercing noise if a dog barks excessively.It is impossible to put into my purse. IMPOSSIBLE!!! It was approximately 12 by 12 in a box. I said are you kidding me??? Where do you think i could have put it? Showing him my purse. I said i put it down and decided not to buy it, He said can you show me where you set it down? I said absolutely and took him straight to it. Mind you i am furious because I was humiliated in front of several people. I called the store after i left and management stated he was just doing his job. Doing his job?? Accusing someone of theft and humiliating them is not doing his job. Especially when I was completely innocent. 2nd time I have ever been there and the last. Terrible way to treat an honest customer. I will be contacting headquarters in the morning.
Menards has just about anything you might need for a huge array of categories. Is almost too much in one place. Do your homework first or you might find yourself browsing the store for longer than you ever wanted. Usually very busy too so if youre in a hurry, sorry bout your problem.
I bought a craftsman blower on May 2nd, 2020. On May 26, 2020 the pull cord ripped out when trying to start it. Menards wouldnt exchange it or refund my money because it had already had gas ran through it. They sent me to Agnew farm equipment to have it repaired. Its been almost 3 weeks since i dropped it off and i just called and was told it could be a few more weeks. I will NEVER buy anything from Menards again! This is ridiculous! Only gave 1 star because I had to
Love this store. I am remodeling my house. I go here for the deals and the rebates. They are not perfect and NO store is perfect. I had special orders and non special orders. Everything was great. Ordered a bunch of windows. 2 were delivered broke. I called them and they replaced them. Rebates, LOVE THEM. Now I have to say, the rebates are the EASIEST rebates I have ever come across. Very simple. Fill out rebate form with name and address, cut off end of the receipt, put address on envelope and send. THATS IT. 6 to 8 weeks it comes in and you can go back and spend it. Very simple. Staff were excellent every time I have been here and they knew where the products were. I read many of the posts, most of them that are rating this place low is because they messed up. NOT Menards. Look on the receipt, it tells you how long you have to send it in.
It was nice, we were greeted right as we walked in. The workers were very kind and helped us get exactly what we needed. The only thing I didnt like was the lay-out of the store. It cut off the front desk area sort of in the middle. It was a little confusing, but not that bad you just had to walk around.
I purchased an item online with the We pull option. The item I wanted, a Coleman easy up canopy, indicated two in stock. However, when I got to this store in Warren, Ohio after driving 40 miles from Clark, PA, they did not have the item in stock not had did they even carry Coleman products! They did give me a lesser priced item at a discounted price and credited my credit card with the difference. So, I guess they arent TOO bad, but I will NEVER order anything online again from them or anyone! Will I shop at this store in the future? Probably.

2022-06-01GREAT customer service. We had a bunch of errands to run; everything from eggs to plants, replacement door handles to a 2x2 piece of plywood. I am new to the area and figured we would be making a bunch of stops but my partner said, Menards will have it. Menards is a HUGE store and they did indeed have it all and more. But what blew my mind was the outstanding customer service. These folks were great. Giving directions, custom cutting lumber, advising on the correct epoxy. Whatever. I cant praise them enough. If it exists, Menards has it and the help knows exactly where to find it.

2022-05-05Everytime you go there the parking lot has alot of cars. Business men that deal with wood or cabinets, carpet etc all go there. Sometimes I hate this place because, like today I go there for just one cheapy thing and spent like $220 with a loaded cart lol. They have so much stuff at a price that youd be dumb to go to Home Depot or Lowes. Not the best pictures at all but for whatever reason thats what I took today lol. My price was mainly the $50 white bottle for my backpack weed sprayer and also I bought a little bit more than those pictures show

2022-02-09Store is always very clean and staff is very friendly and helpful. Asked two different employees for help/advice and both were very nice and patient with my lack of plumbing knowledge. At the checkout I had an issue with machine accepting my virtual card and the cashier was so very nice and understanding.

2022-04-11Yesterday I arrived at the store at 12:34pm to get my order pickup. It was one item. I attempted to call the 330 number posted on the signs-no answer. So I walked inside to let them know I was picking up an order. The male with the really long stood there and ignored me the 5 minutes I was standing there and finally a guy walked in to help me(I think his name was Jason) he told me he’d find a lift and be out in a few minutes. 20 minutes go by… nothing. Another vehicle pulls up.. gets their vehicle loaded and they leave. 30 minutes go by and same thing. So I had my husband ask what the wait was. The female he spoke to had no idea how to help us. I didn’t get my order until 1:30. Your store had a bunch of employees just hanging out in the order area and NOT ONE of them could’ve helped? Service and quality? More like laziness and goofing off.

2022-04-01I was looking for an Item in the store and a worker quickly pointed and gave me quick directions then dismissed me. I followed the directions to the best of my ability, could not find the item. I went home and ordered it from Amazon. Just a suggestion walk your customers to the item. We love Menards and will return to shop again, sadly this time you lost a sale.

2022-04-28Employees should have more knowledge on the products especially large appliances I will say the delivery men r the nicest, polite, gentlemen. Nick called a hr ahead to let me kn they would b here .very nice when arrived .pleasant to talk to .bought many items fr menards & always happy with them .Their return policy is great .Prices r a good deal ..just bought my gr some a air conditioner. Good price .

2022-05-08We wanted to buy ceiling tiles. I called a head to make sure I could there who I talked to was very nice. Told me if I had the number he could just put it in the system order for us. 45 min driver there to be treated like we were bother the guy in that department. Huff and puffing. He works in the paint area. Use to like the place but was just thinking back everytime we deal with them its a problem. From the rude lady at customer service to now this time. They all act like when u ask them something its a bother. Came back to town went to lowes it took the guy 5 min to order the stuff and in that 5 min very nice very very nice and he made his store 1000.00 bucks in that 5 min.

2022-03-11Love menards! But they totally drop the ball when it comes to delivery. I am building and when you purchase online you cannot put a different delivery address than the address used for your credit card. This is very frustrating. When I called they said the best thing to do is put customer pickup down and then just purchase the delivery later when the item arrived.......this is all good until the delivery shows up and they miss multiple items due to everything saying customer pickup.....ugh tech dept needs to look into this and get with the times

2022-05-27I love Menards! Being that I lived in the Midwest for a number of years back in the early to mid 2000s, I became acquainted with Menards. Its just so much different than Lowes or Home Depot which is pretty much all we have in Pittsburgh (We have Busy Beaver as well but thats a far cry from Menards!)They have far more brand names to choose from, and generally speaking, they just have things that you cant get at Lowes or Home Depot. For example, today I bought a 30 inch rolling nail magnet. It has 50 lb of magnetic pull and its made to roll through the yard picking up loose screws and nails that could be laying around in the yard on a job site after youve done roofing or siding.Ive been looking for one forever and Ive just never taken the time to go on Amazon and get one. Today I just happened upon one at Menards so I bought it! I wish we had a Menards in Pittsburgh!
