Menards in other cities:
We were there to find a new shower door. We spent a little time looking before we were asked if we needed help. We looked at two shower doors, got info on each one and paperwork on installers to choose from. Menards does not install. It was a good experience but we intend to checkout Home Depot as well.
I bought an above ground planter and some other items. I filled out the 11% rebate form and the sale form and sent them in. Had to send the original receipts and yes I made copies. Was expecting $80 rebate. Never came. I went to the store they said I had to call. I called and they didnt see where it had been sent in. I said I had copies they said I had to have the originals. I said I had to send them in. They said they couldnt help me without the originals.Worse store Ive ever dealt with.
It opened a couple of months ago! This is neat and staff are friendly. Someone asked me if I needed help finding things, which is great! The store has a little section on food and grocery items, which by the way, are cheaper than other grocery stores around. I found the Christmas items I need 👍👍
Horrible experience! Bought a grill and the first one was dented to hell. So we call up there and they say we can exchange it no issue. We get home with the new one and guess what! The second one is dented as well! I call and the manager doesn’t even care! Go to Lowes or Home Depot!
Its been a while, so I was momentarily overwhelmed. So many things in such a large space. I confess I got turned around several times. I did eventually find everything I was looking for and a couple of extra things too. The cashier was amazingly friendly and I certainly left with a smile.
This place is a joke. I placed a sizable order online and paid for delivery. They sent me notices that my order was ready for pick up. I had to call the store to make sure my order was being delivered instead of pick up. Their call line is insane. You have to choose from 15 different departments; none of them are customer service. I had to get transferred from a random department. Once I spoke to their order specialist, she asked for my order number. I gave my order number and she told me I didn’t have the right one (very rudely). There are two order numbers. I tried to make arrangements on my delivery and she indicated that no changes could be made and that I needed to cancel my order and order again. To top it all off, she was super rude to me. Customer service is lacking there.
This place is huge, has virtually everything, and is very clean which is very surprising was kind of store. And the staff is always looking for someone to help.I also like how everything is 11% off all year. No waiting for holidays to get some kind of random special. What I do not like oh, and why I only rate them 4 stars, is the fact that theyre advertised prices are always the sale price but you have to send in a rebate for it. I would be much happier if they just listed the actual price.
Had to return a special order bathroom sink as it was too large. It was my mistake so didnt whine about 25 percent restock fee. They also have their return process completely dialed in then. Got paperwork inside drove around to the back they pulled it out of the trunk out of the trunk then I went back in and got my credit. I was very impressed
Wow this place really impressed me. It’s like a food store, hardware store and farm store all in one. With lots of clothing. We were impressed with the tool section and pricing. Also the employees were all motivated and helpful. Take a slip to mail in your rebate after each visit. It’s like an 11% rebate by mail off your purchase.
As my former boss used to say “Any place that sells milk and lumber in the same store is great in my book”. Menards is an interesting place to say the least. We went for the ole purpose of checking out the Halloween decor and they had a substantial stock. We especially enjoyed seeing the Spooky Town set. The employees were helpful and genuine.
Water heater are being recalled and store was fully aware and sold anyway I would not recommend installing and of their water heaters theyve gonna out within a year and a half weve replaced over 6 heater and was inform today by manger that you only get one replacement
Store is okay and reasonable prices. But dont count on the 11% rebates. We never received our rebate which was supposed to have been mailed two months ago. The company handling them, Rebate International, has 445 complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau. Many complaints the same as ours. Somebody is saving big money, but its not the rebate filers.
Went for a hand plane. The place is massive and hard to find things. A worker saw me wandering looking at signs and searching and never asked me if I needed help. Quality of hand tools are basic. Dispute signs- not one customer had a mask on.. If you want something really nice go to a woodcraft store.
This store is my go to as a general contractor because you can’t beat the price or assortment. The store manager Dan is a great guy and is very involved in the store operations. I’ve only ever had one issue and it was with online pick up but it was during their remodel as well so it was a chaotic time for them. Cashiers make the experience great and that is appreciated because they are the last people we see in the store. Only area that needs improvement is flooring- the dept. manager of that area is not very customer centered or friendly and his dept lacks the detail of the rest of the departments. The paint department is the best stocked and maintained from any store over ever visited, I don’t think it’s ever not been neat, orderly, and in stock with the items I’m needing. Great job Dan and team!
This is a new Menards and its close to my house so I was excited to go in. Its big, well lit and easy to maneuver the aisles and different areas. The employees were all nice and helpful - even if they didnt k ow exactly what we were talking about, they got us answers and thats great - no one can know everything. They have one of the best Christmas selections around. While they didnt have everything we were looking for - the key machine was down and the extension cord reels only came with extensions cords already inside them - it was a favorable experience and we will be back.
Once you get the store layout down your good.I spent hours walking around getting distracted by shiney stuff so plan on buying everything else you didnt come in for cause they have everything. Also the woman that works back in water heaters was cool so say Hi when you see her.
This past weekend I stopped by to purchase garden soil and plants. I had never been to this particular store. I’ll say that the hard goods area of garden and nursery was well organized and attractive, BUT I have never seen such a mess in a nursery as here. If you are going to be in the business of selling plants WATER them. Racks and tables of dead and dying plants!! It was sickening. And I’ll add not one employee on the floor was friendly or offered any assistance and in fact when I was trying to load large bags of soil into my cart two employees less then 6’ from me offered to help! The only employee that was friendly was the cashier. Just really disappointing.
Store has only been open about a month, so its still very clean. Well organized and well stocked. Good prices, especially when you consistently utilize their 11% rebate on all purchases. (Weve saved $100 in just a few weeks of casual shopping, including food items.) Checkout was quick and easy. Cashier very friendly and professional. Glad to see that wearing masks (COVID19) is strictly enforced. Customers are told they cannot enter without one, and no amount of whining or cursing will get you in. If you want to claim a medical exemption, then go to Home Depot where they dont care about masks.
Worst customer service experience ever from Savanah and her assistant at customer service this morning of the busiest shoping day of the whole season..rude and disrespectful and wasted 30 mins of my time for a simple return with reciept..need better and until getting it I will NOT RETURN TO ANY MENARDS!
This was my first visit to this new Menards store. I LOVE this store!! Its fully stocked with everything and had an awesome selection too. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. I went shopping there in the early evening and it wasnt very busy at all. Its very close to 675 and easy to find off of the highway. This is going to be my go to store from now on. 😁
My first time at a Menards and I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of goods. The place was clean and staff were busy stocking and cleaning. However, they were not as helpful as to where to find a product, pointing or saying, um.... disappointing. We wondered around lost and trying to find a check out area was daunting. They dont offer any discounts such as Veteran or military or senior. So, unless a great buy Ill not frequent often. But, dont let my first experience become a determining factor for your visit.
That store is so HUGE and has so much GREAT STUFF! To save myself a little time, I asked an employee where the items were located that I was looking to purchase. I found them quickly, looked around for a little while, then checked out. I picked up a rebate slip before I left so I could save a little bit on my purchase. Had to hurry home or else I would have browsed a LOT LONGER. Great store! You should go check it out!
The employees are not trained on how to properly address customers. Managers very inexperienced also. They ask some customers to wear a mask others they do not and they do not provide disposal masks for people walking in. We came in off a job to pick up some things and didnt have masks on us (we were working outside in rain) they told us we needed them and threatened to kick us out. They did not have the disposal masks the state supplies for Free they said. Front end manager was completely unprofessional, very poor example for employees. We will all definitely be going back to Lowes from now on and letting everyone know ow on the crew we work for never to shop there again.
This store is new and it was my first visit. I went there looking for specific items (Sterilite storage containers) that other stores were out of or low on stock. The two employees who helped me with my search were very courteous and professional and they gave me their full attention as I explained what I was looking for and showed them the information on their website. Despite one item being out of stock, I still considered my trip a success.
Petty worker attitude, watched two customers walk in the exit door and the worker made them exit and go to the entrance of the store, such a petty power trip. The rest of the workers were really friendly and helpful with a clean store. One rotten egg of an employee isnt enough to stop visiting the store though
The store was huge and surprisingly clean throughout the entire store. (With it being so big I had my doubts) I was looking for a desk and unfortunately they didnt have one but I did decide to build one. The reason I only have 4 stars was because when I asked for help they pointed me in the right direction but didnt come help or show me anything. And while I was looking for 2 hours... I didnt see any workers so that was a bit frustrating. Overall though I had a good experience and would go back, would just need my dad so he could help me with what I need to get.
Literally EVERY employee in that store either ask did we need help or spoke and said hello how are you!!! As people of color that really mattered to my husband and I. We usually shop other hardware stores because they are closer to us, but we will make the trip to Menards from now on. The inventory is better also!
If you buy an item on clearance and have it on hold for next day pick up. They will sell it to someone else if you are late buy end of that day, even though you paid for it.Also, the whole rebate thing is a joke. Most people may not remember to file They make money off of people who forget to send out the rebate forms. If you are military, just go yh Home depot or lowes. You get your 10% discount instantly
This was my 2nd stop at Menards. Being a Lowes and Home Depot frequent flyer. The most stand out fact I noticed in every department I passed and entered was Choice of products. I havent seen a larger diversity of products. From generic to premium price. Very nice that. Didnt have the lowest price I could find but selection was a win. Doesnt mean I will only shop there. But I have a list of there products. Good recommendation goes to Menards.
How does it make sense to allow people to walk around the entire store without a mask but then refuse to let you checkout without a mask. Is it safe until you get to the register. We can touch our face, touch everything in the store, touch the card reader, your vaccinated and Menards is only concerned at the register. Wear the mask if you want to, i Wont discriminate, but dont judge or discriminate against people who chose not to wear one. In this country you have the right to abort your unborn child but you cant chose to not wear a mask. Wont go back until they stop this nonsense. Go to Lowes where they respect your choice.
Brand New location - Home Improvements, Hardware, Lumber, Appliances & everything you can think of for the home - all in one gigantic place. Overwhelming Choices & organized , well stocked displays. Departments are well marked for easy navigation within the store. Large, Airy, Well lit environment. I was impressed.
Store is brand new and clean. I would love it if they had a help button in some of the more understaffed areas of the store when finding an employee can be difficult. I would give 4.5 stars if i could. First two times we were helped by a young man to cut our blinds and did a fantastic job. Third time we came in it was someone new and they were quite unsure of what they were doing. We got our blinds in the end and they turned out okay but we definitely had to wait a lot longer than usual.
Pretty much most of what you need in one big store. From building supplies, windows, doors, shingles, work clothes, jeans & gloves, mower batteries, cleaning supplies, storage items, tools, electrical & AV items, cat & dog food, toys & crates, food & grocery, greeting cards and even an outside area with seasonal items plus other stuff.
Placed a Special order on June 14, was supposed to be in store July 16, received an email pushing it to July 30, called Aug 2nd was told by the Building materials dept, it was there. Went to pick up the 2 items, loaded the first one, I asked the kid where was 2nd, he said you already picked it up, I said no way. Asked for a manager, after an hour of looking, was told, they couldnt find it and I had to reorder for a Sept. delivery date.😤😤 According to their computer screen, the 2 pieces arrived, but apparently they sold my 2nd piece to someone else. SO MUCH FOR A SPECIAL ORDER AT MENARDS.
Place has about anything you would need at ok prices not counting the always advertised 11pct rebate. Rebate is a hassle have to get a form in store or print off then fill out and mail. Then a long long wait for a check in the mail. They suggest you save up receipts and mail in bulk but then they get lost. With hassle of getting sure many people do not bother with small amounts so company makes a bundle not giving out those rebates. True customer service would be give rebates at check out but then they would not clean up on ones not redeemed.
BEWARE OF SNEAKY RESTOCK FEE POLICY. I ordered a fixture online. Nowhere on any screen during the checkout process was there anything about this being a special order that would be subject to a restock fee of 25% (which is supposedly in the fine print online somewhere.) One manager agreed that this is a problem, but the general manager Zack refused to wave the fee. Menards just took me for $20. So much for saving big money at Menards. I stopped to save 11%, but it cost me 25%!
Favorite all time lumber yard ever! The selection is enormous and prices competitive along with an 11% rebate. No loading lumber and sheet goods on a cart in store, rolling it to the register to check out before rolling out to reload into your vehicle. Make order in store, pay, and then drive into lumber yard to direct load into vehicle. Win, win...Half the physical labor and a definite price point advantage!
I honestly wish I could give Menards here in Fairborn a higher rating. However, like many area stores like this in the area, customer service is lacking. True, they may be under staffed but its a shame when you make a larger purchase such as a dryer and you not only have to get the new appliance into your house, you have to put it together yourself (like attaching a power chord). It used to be, store that sold appliances not only delivered the appliance, they set it up for you. True, theres sometimes an extra charge for that and Im willing to pay it. Please stop using COVID as an excuse not to follow through with proper delivery and set up. Some of us older folks prefer being treated right.
So big and friendly especially loooove the lumber yard. Im always greeted, staff is new but always ready to help and go the extra mile even though it is a Self Service Yard. Havent met a lumber guy that I havent had a great experience with. Great job and now my Number #1 hardware store to go to!
Your store was good but your employees are rude as hell about the mask. I have a breathing issue due to having three lung surgeries and had my mask down for a few seconds while checking out and had an employee come up to me and told me I needed to put my mask up. I almost told the cashier to just delete my whole order. Maybe you should tell your rude employees to have a little more consideration with your customers. Believe me I sure dont go anywhere without a mask but there are times when I cant breath and have to take it down for a little bit. Thanks Betty Quigley
One star because youd think that a store that opened last week would have employees with charisma and personality. Unfortunately I walked around the paint department to see about purchasing paint for my home. Not one employee asked if I needed help or suggested anything. Just watch me walk around. Points to the cashier girl, though I didnt get her name because she asked me how I was and to have a nice day on the way out. I did not purchase anything and probably will not return to do so. Step it up folks.
Bought a large kitchen appliance on the first day they opened. Slight mix-up on delivery schedule which we attributed to day-one startup issues. Menards’ management stepped in to fix the issue. Customer service was excellent throughout. Delivery team followed through, delivered our appliance, and was very thorough, careful, and professional. Excellent experience.
Cabinet buyers beware. Bought and ordered my kitchen cabinets on 2-22-21. I was told at the time there 4 to 6 week delivery time by the sale associate, The cabinet company called to set up delivery 1 week later and was told cabinets would be delivered 4-9-21. Received a call today informing me the wont be delivered until the week of May 14th. I have a hunch I will not see them until June. There needs to be better communication between Menards and the manufacturer(Cardell). Thats close to 3 months after I initially ordered them if in fact they do deliver them in that time frame. Im not sure I would trust Menards word concerning a delivery time. I would press the sales associate on actual delivery time frame.
Okay the store always seems to appear organized and the staff seems to be pretty friendly at checkout. The only problem I have is when Im in the store and I need help I never see anyone available no matter what area Im in and no one ever approaches me and asked me if I need any help. Its a mystery.
The new menards in Fairborn , Oh Dayton yellow springs road, my 1st visit wasnt a very pleasant visit but i couldnt find what i was looking for so decided to ask an employee will that took 20 minutes an when i did they was more concerned about texting on there phone an gave me a look like how dare me ask a question an this happened 4 times before i found what i was looking for but the employees made this company look bad shame on management
Consistently discriminates against my disabled son who CANNOT WEAR A MASK OR FACE COVERING You people need to learn the law! Mike Dewine specifically said on nation disability awareness day to be respectful of people with disabilities THAN CAN NOT WEAR FACE COVERINGS! I am very upset and seriously considering legal council. Im am disgusted with the discrimination against my son!Guard your heart! Everything you do flows from it. -God
Usually I love this place but I went for one item which turned out to be misleading ad. To get in the building I had to walk a country mile because the garden center was closed had to walk thru the entire store to get to the garden center and then walk back thru the entire store to escape.
I like that they built one in Fairborn, I can always find what I need. I always had to go to Lowes and may or may not find what I need for my projects. Home depot is a joke. Menards always have employees to find to help you. They have many different products to choose from.
The front end manager, Connor, was very argumentative and aggressive in telling me to pull my mask above my nose. I told him to stay 6ft away since he came up within reach and confronted me. He backed up and said he was 6 ft away, when I said bs you were right next to me, he told me to get out they were refusing my business since I swore. As a contractor I spend more than he makes here... get rid of him or you’ll lose another $100k/year customer!
Nice new store....... Only two problems. 1. The store is backwards. My home store is the Tipp City store even though I live in Springfield. The Tipp City store is correct ( to me ). I will never be able to find anything in this store. And the most important problem I have with the store. 2. There is no Hickory River BBQ. We always drive from Springfield to Menards and hickory River BBQ in Tipp city. We will keep trying to like it........... You cant beat great BBQ. Can you ???
With the exception of the 2 employees who were incredibly helpful, the rest of the employees either dodged customers, pawned them off on other customers, or assumed customers were ignorant and gave a bs answer. Do yourself a favor and download the Menards app. Check for the items you need before you go. Otherwise, youll find yourself telling other customers where items are because youve walked the store for 2 hours.

2022-01-28This was my first time ever being to a Menards. If you need kitchen cabinets, this is the place to go. I’d also recommend asking for Anne-Marie. She is extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond for me, even calling me at home to let me know the cabinets I wanted were on sale. She saved me thousands of dollars! She spent about 2 hours with me one Saturday helping me to design my kitchen. When the cost was too high, she redid it using another level of cabinets. I went in this past Saturday to purchase them, and she spent another hour with me making modifications. She is very thorough, customer oriented, and knows her job. I so appreciated all her help.

2022-02-18This store literally has everything. Nice worker helped me reach things that I was too short to grab. Key maker machine is hiding with the locks. Could have done without pushy AT&T salesman. Seriously, I dont get why you guys allow outside sales reps in. Its very off-putting.

2022-04-10The store is well organized and we found everything on our list. Employees were always close by and ready to assist. I was amazed to see train hobby accessories at the store. The prices were reasonable also.We will definitely shop here again!

2022-02-16Man...what to say about Menards? Its a great place for people who love bad shopping experiences. If you need to buy dog food, a frozen pizza AND some crown moulding its definitely the place to go. Its a place full of stuff where you cant find anything. When it comes to buying moulding and specialty wood for carpentry projects their selection is so much better than Lowes or Home Depot. I wish they would clear out all the nonsense and bring their cash registers into the current century. I cant imagine what an efficiency consultant would say about that place.I shop there by necessity because they have things I need that i cant find elsewhere but I never enjoy it. I begrudgingly shop at Menards.Whats with the IN and OUT doors? Why do I have to walk through a turnstile like I am at an amusement park or getting on the subway?A MAIL IN REBATE?! My grandmother would love that...except she and that entire generation are dead. What to say about Menards? I love you and hate you.

2022-05-12Excellent store. Great prices. I feel as if this store is more geared toward homeowner/DIY projects than a Home Depot or Lowes is; however, that is not to say they don’t have quality products. Their lumber is typically better than others. Also, their 11% rebate is definitely something to take advantage of.

2022-05-29Highly recommend buying on online and picking up in the store. Had a horrible experience with purchasing 30 bags of mulch and having it loaded in the car. Have to order in building supply, pay up front, drive car to lumberyard, discovered the building supply personnel sold a more expensive mulch than the one in the ad and a different color. Was told had to go inside to do the exchange, than told by customer service had to go to building supply first to do a new order before the exchange, so had to go all the way in back to get new slip and than upfront for the exchanges and final back to the yard to get it loaded. One of the the staff mentioned the ordering online and it will be my only way of shopping the sales at menards now.

2022-04-25Friendly staff with a well organized store. Can it get any better? Yes! The 11% rebates on my purchases makes the slogan true. Youll save big money.

2022-04-05This place is amazing! I had no idea this place was so close to Springfield. If they dont have it, you probably dont need it!

2022-03-29Nice store with a good selection. They sell some food and junk not normally found in a hardware store, and that is nice.Unfortunately, they employ this trick where the prices are above average, but they offer an 11% rebate. So, the customer is expected to fill out a rebate and deal with that hassle - every time you buy anything. The rebate is in the form of a store credit, not cash back. If you forget, or dont want to hassle with the rebate, then you just overpaid for your items. It would be so much easier for everyone if the store just lowered the prices by 11% and stop harassing the customers. At most hardware stores, if you return something without a receipt, you just give your credit card to the clerk, they look it up, and do the return all at once. Quick and easy. Not here. At Menards, you must wait in line to use the self-service computer and look up the receipt yourself. Then, you must wait in the return line to actually do the return. Employees say they are unable to look up a receipt, and customers MUST use the self-service computer. When I visited, I was the only customer in the return area. I told them that I was unwilling to use the self-service computer and asked if they could look up my receipt for me. They refused. When you return items here, it takes several days before the refund appears in your bank. At competing stores, the refund appears the same day. This may not be a big problem, but it is another to avoid this place.I like the selection here, but because I dont like the rebate trickery and the returns hassle, I will always visit the other hardware stores first.

2022-07-04I absolutely love menards. They always have great sales or clearance items. They have a lot of my fav snacks that you can’t find anywhere! I could lost in there for hours I swear, although my children usually won’t allow it.
