Wouldve given 5 stars except they kept playing the Menards ad every 5 minutes. The store was clean, prices and selection good and checkout was fast
I was looking for a portable air conditioner and I found it cheaper at Menards than any other store plus you get rebates all through the store. I will always shop at Menards.

I needed some serious cleaner and drain opener. Every other big box store only went up to the ammonia free stuff and then nothing stronger. This place had the good stuff that requires proper ventilation. Thank you helping get our house back to normal, Menards.
It was a little difficult locating the products I needed after taking to multiple Associates finally located what I needed shockingly Home Depot and Lowes did not have these products that I was needing and I was able to get my project done
Just visited the new store that just opened for my bathroom remodel. Joe in plumbing is the best!! He helped me to ensure Im getting everything I need and I will be getting my home improvement supplies there now because of the selection and the assistance!! 10 out of 10 across the board. And I mean theres chocolate there too!! How can you lose?
Quick & easy refill of propane tank for our grill for about $20. Just make sure your tank is in good condition so they dont turn you away.
11% rebate isnt even a real rebate its store credit only. Gotta jump through hoops to get it too. Might as well shop somewhere else and avoid the 11% markup in the first place.Unfortunately, in their defense, theyre the only ones who carry certain items around here.

I was surprised to see that they have more than home Depot. I usually only shop at home Depot but I came over to Menards cuz I was looking for a space heater. But this Menards had a whole bunch of space heaters and a whole bunch of other things that home Depot doesnt have. If I find out Menards sells DeWalt tools I might stick to Menards.
I go there at least once a week for propane refill. Most times I have to wait in line for people who have returns or complains because you buy your propane refill at the customer service desk for some reason. So inconvenient and time consuming for someone just looking to refill propane
Incredible selection and most staff were super friendly and ready to help. Dont love the rebate promotion where everything is 11% off (assuming you remember/bother to submit the rebate). But wait... you dont actually get that $$, they instead give you a credit on your next in-store purchase. Thats not a rebate, thats a coupon!
I enjoy going there its always clean and friendly staff. They for the most part always have what I am looking for.

I was very surprised to see that Menards sells groceries! Its a little far to get food, but they had the best price on what we were looking for- end post caps. And, even better? They had just over the number we needed! Staff were very helpful, pointing us in the direction to locate the item, so we didnt have to wander around the store. Its also dog friendly, which is great for those who, like me, take our pets with us everywhere we go.

Love this place, Made in USA goods in nearly every department. Clean, well stocked, well staffed, helpful staff and pleasant customers. Plumbing including fixtures and parts a plenty not only made in USA, BUT also made in Ohio. Pricing is at least decent if not cost effective. Clean store and parking lot. Watch shift change at the exit people coming in and leaving work are actually smiling not directions and speaking to each other with a smile. May it never get contaminated with bad attitude.
Everyone I had to speak to was eager to help and knew what they were talking about unlike their competitors. What a refreshing change from other home improvement stores. Plus they have everything I needed in one store.
Not any better than Lowes or Home Depot. Initially it was. As always, the bottom drops out and service gets pushed aside. I was there today 12/9/21. Went into a department to make a purchase. Waited for about 5-10 minutes, nobody. Walked to the other end of the store to do some other shopping and looking around. Came back to the same department. Nobody...crickets. Waited for about 5 minutes. Allegedly there was supposed to be 3 people working in the department. Didnt see anyone. Left my cart and walked out. Would have been a purchase of over $100.00. Obviously Menards doesnt need my money.
I like Menards. But every store is at 75 0/0 and they are still at fifty.. I didnt buy to much of Christmas items. But did get a few buildings for my trains. I am working on. But way to go with that Menards.

Usually has everything but I noticed prices have gone up the battery last year for the tractor was $26 this year its 34 with 11% thats a lot of inflation
They say they dont want propiedad to go thru with out mas but they let people sale food on the out door thts ridiculist I know the guy have to make money and I dont disagree with that but the store is not working with the community and also the mask they sale u dont know if the people made its under law and qualify by health that its insane

I bought 2 5gal containers of paint for my house. I went in last week to talk to paint specialist regarding an issue with the paint. This young woman was so rude. Told me its the lowest end of paint they sell. Wouldnt speak or listen about the issue I was having. She literally walked away. Told me she wasnt discussing it since it was cheapest. So told I spoke to service desk ... Tammy. She said she was sorry. Asked who I spoke to. Told her the best I could who she was. I asked for this young woman be removed from this area. Tammy literally stood there telling me she was sorry. I told her I have spent well over 400$ a week in last 3 weeks. But today was last time. My business will go to Morse Rd Menards or Lowes. I guess customes no longer matter

Very unhelpful. They sell empty 5lb propane tanks but refuse to fill them. They will only fill 11lb and up. There is no physical reason why, the equipment is all exactly the same, they just dont have a barcode for it and therefore refuse to do it. Nonsense and a huge waste of time. Hope they sort it out.

This is a very clean store with wide aisles. They have a great selection of all things house related. And, lots of unique gift items. The cashier cleaned the credit card keypad after each use. Im also impressed with the friendliness of staff.

They do not stand behind the product warranties. The vinyl flooring I purchased is peeling after less than 2 years and they are doing everything to not honor the warranty, honestly not surprised, but disappointed. With three more houses to remodel Ill go back to Home Depot where they dont hassle me on product defects and issues.

Not the best set up for a store..needed a bathroom faucet and to look at vanities. Well vanities are on one side 9f the store and faucets on the other side. I gave up looking and was headed out and guess what??? I found the faucets.. Absolutely not better prices ., you have to do rebates to get a better price..No Thanks !

I love this store! Think Home Depot and Lowes but with a bigger selection and lower prices. They also have things like small selection of groceries that those other stores dont have. This company will go out of its way to try to make you happy if you give them the chance.

Not veteran friendly like other home improvement stores. I was told that I could call to schedule a delivery once all the items were in. When I called back I was told I had to come to the store. I do not go to Menards much and doubt I will be going back.
I gave them 1 star only because we must have spent 2 hours walking around as we are planning a huge remodel and not 1 associate ever said as much as a hi or can I help you. They were helping other people though...there were 2 occasions that I had to go and ask someone for help looking for items. On selection and stock is give 5 stars. The worst Menards experience EVER. If we ever go back well go to Chillicothe instead. They are better than Columbus was.... extremely disappointed!
Good selection of high quality items, and unique stuff you can’t find at the big box stores. Prices are decent, sometimes a little high, but definitely take advantage of the 11% rebates, when they are being offered.
Pretty decent store. We wanted some tree wood chunks for our smoker and all they had were little shavings of wood bagged up. Not enough wood to produce much smoke, let alone flavor. We have heard that Menards has everything. A lot of the shelves were quite empty. It wasnt what I expected.
You can always find something you need there. A nice stroll though the store is nice.
They normally have lower prices (even B4 the rebates). Have to watch out for item availability. Sometimes the website says that they have an item, but once you get to the store it is out of stock. Even for items that have > 5 at location.

The worst experience my husband and I ever experienced. If I could give them no stars I would. When we entered the store no one greeted us and there were several workers by the entrance. Every time we asked where something was the workers either didnt know or they would pointed us in the wrong direction. Honestly, they made us feel as if we didnt belong. After reading all the wonderful reviews makes me wonder why we were treated so rudely. The only single nice thing was the cashier she was very curious

They were really helpful with getting our new cabinets. A bit more than we wanted to spend but overall would recommend coming here if you’re doing a kitchen remodel yourself.
Went on Grand Opening weekend and while they were EXTREMELY busy, the staff were amazing and very helpful. Checkout lines were all staffed and organized. I was scared to shop at first, thinking the lines would be long but it was a great experience. Will definitely be back!
It’s a fine store but DO NOT buy mulch there unless you’re fine with a moldy mess. This not a case of a bad batch. I’ve been over 5 times over a span of a month for mulch and each time the bags are full of white mold. Other than that, good store.

Went to Home Depot first but couldnt find anything and no one wanted to help so lefthand went to Menards. People were very helpful and if I couldnt find an item they walked over and showed where it was. A little higher priced than HD but customer service was a whole lot better.
Customer service here is terrible. Ive been here a total of four times, and Ive had four bad experiences with their employees. Id rather pay a few dollars more and shop at Lowes or Home Depot where Ill be treated with respect and courtesy.

Can get pretty much anything at Menards. From food, windows, sinks, microwaves, fridge, door handles, lights and furniture.Sometimes can get expensive but can be cheap depending on what you get. There is always a good price for everything too. Everywhere I went I had plenty of help too.

Do not go to Menards to fill your propane. After requesting a fill and going out to the filling area, I waited over 30 mins. No one came out. Went back inside and was told to wait a little longer. Walmart is easier than this.
Most of the employees here dont seem to know the first thing about working at a hardware store, they pull the wrong items for in store pickup, tell you they dont carry things they do, or say they are out of stock of things that are on the shelf. Also their rebate program is run by an awful 3rd party who consistently loses things in the mail and the time you may have to wait to check you rebate status can be longer than the time you have to submit it.
Drove 45 minutes to pick up something that the person on the phone said there were 42 available. We paid online & took receipt for pickup. Upon getting there we were told to go out back which the guy at gate said was not right. Finally he let us in only to find out they had none in stock! Looks like nice store...
Very wide selection Of hardware and building materials. Staff was not very helpful when an out of stock item was stocked at another location. While there are transfer options available the front desk would not offer the information until I asked specifically.
So glad that Menards has added a West location. The staff is very helpful. The only thing that has been a downfall has been MY BUDGET!I will say I was disappointed in the selection of plants available. I know it is rather late in the spring, but its just beginning of June & the only veggie was Kale
You can buy almost anything at Menards. They have everything from lumber, nails, roofing, drywall, and other building materials also a large selection of hardware, tools, nuts and bolts. I never get tired of looking at the large displays of lighting, bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and all the appliances large and small. You can even buy groceries and some unusual food items. They also have food, bedding, and toys for your pets. Menards reminds me of the long closed Andersons stores. I loved their variety. Menards is even better. Its also a great place to find your spring gardening supplies, too.
I had high hopes for this new store, being limited to Lowes and HD. They have a decent selection and the lumber guys and order pickup in back are great but the front desk and tool rental center is severely lacking. At HD for instance you get the insulation blower for a day free of you buy x amount of insulation. Menards apparently doesnt do this even tho the sales guys in back said they would. Also, I went ahead and rented the machine and have had it two days. Im now done with it but it is pouring rain outside. I called them as this machine is massive and weighs 200 lbs so even if I tarp it it will get soaked when we unload it there and it says do not get wet. I called to ask, even though I purchased $1000 worth of insulation, went ahead and paid to keep the machine two days, its pouring rain, can you pause the clock now that we are done until this rain stops for me to transport it in dry weather? Nope, of course not. They are very unfriendly at that front desk as well with a bit of attitude. A big portion of the store is pretty legit, but something needs changed with the front desk and tool rental services.
The loss prevention people at the entrance look like swat team members. Its a little unnerving for a retail store. The store associates dont really know where stuff is and arent very helpful. Its a big store but Ill probably not shop there much.
We ordered a deck package from Menards and a door. When we finally received our products we were missing our door and all of our hardware for our deck! We had to go to Menards pick up our door and all missing hardware. They sold some of our special order hardware and could not replace it! We had to drive to another Menards for the parts, and the all of it pretty much all the employees but 1 were rude! I would not recommend the Menards in Hilliard!

I never knew there is a new Menards store at this location till I check the Google map last night, apparently it has been there a few months since 2/2020. Its good, I like things are almost at the same spot no matter which Menards store I go to, save me time finding my stuffs.

I was stopped in my tracks at the door and told I have to comply and wear a mask or BUY ONE from the store to enter. There is no mandate and science specifies masks do more harm than good. This is a violation and infringement on common rights in this country. Incredibly disappointed.
I was looking for a particular item for our backyard and although I had to travel to Hilliard I was not only pleased to find the item but the customer service I received from both the cashier and the manager on duty who loaded my car was fantastic! Great store by the way. 😊
I place an order for over $4k worth of fencing back on April 21st to be delivered on May 11th. They charged my visa the same day so I assume everything is good. I call on the May 11 just before lunch because I hadnt heard anything. I was told by the person on the phone from the store it was to be delivered from (E. Broad St, Columbus Ohio) that my order was still being delivered that day. A little after 4 pm they call and tell me that the delivery of my order will need to be delayed a few weeks (couldnt tell me exactly when it would actually be delivered) because they dont have everything in stock. When I placed the order it was all listed as in stock at that location. I actually paid more to have it delivered from that store since it was the only one that had everything I needed listed as in stock. I had contractors coming to complete the work on the 12th so now Im screwed. First and last time I order from Menards. To top it off I said I couldnt wait a few weeks so please cancel my order and the guys said he would, then he actually called back a second time to see if I wanted the whole order cancelled or just the delivery? Why would I cancel just the delivery? Worst part is they still havent refunded me my purchase, funny how they charged be within minutes of my order but the refund seems to be taking awhile. If it isnt refunded by the morning Im filling dispute with my credit card company.
1st and last time I’ll go to a Menards, surly teenage employees charged me 2 dollars for a single lumber cut. Bought a 4x4x6 the lumber yard kids brought me a 2x4x8 then a 4x4x10 cut my 4 feet and should have given me the rest for my trouble and 20 minutes I had to wait for them went home with 4’ when I paid for 6. You stock food but not small tubs of pre mix concrete? This store and company is an oversized joke. I’ll stick to Home Depot.
Horrible pick up experience. People at the gate were friendly and efficient. Actual pickup took half an hour. We were first in line, called and told it would be a few minutes. Others pulled in and received their orders first. After half an hour we asked where our order was and it was finally brought out.

We went to Menards looking for flame light bulbs and found some! Besides online, theyre the only store to have them. We also got some tools, some toys for the kid, and an outdoor burlap fox for the Christmas season. Thanks Menards!

If I could give them a “0” I would!! I was turned away at the door by security because I have my 5yr old son with me. Company policy doesn’t seem real family friendly!! Not to mention single parents. This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of!!
I am upset that I was subjected to be controlled by having to wear a mask. If the masks are so effective then ur associates are protected from me and me from them. I will go to Home Depot or Lowes where Im not obligated.

Menards is the best home improvement store in Columbus. They have pretty much everything you could ever need. Prices are reasonable and their lumber selection is the best available. If you need it, they have it.
Would rate a 5 if there was enough handicap scooters. Me and another woman just left the store because neither of us are able to walk. I had to stay in the car while my husband shopped. There needs to be 1/2 as many scooters as there are handicap parking spaces.
My boyfriend accidentally left a purchase behind at the Hilliard Rome Rd Location. I called to ask if anyone was honest enough to turn it in to the store. Person I spoke to was one of the rudest people Ive ever spoken to in my life. I will absolutely never purchase anything from this location for that reason.

2022-04-14This store is very clean and the employees are always super friendly. Anytime Ive had to ask for assistance, theres always someone fairly nearby so I dont have to wander around the whole store looking. Menards also (as you probably already know) offers a discount of 11% on every purchase.

2022-05-12Went in to help my son look for some tools to clean his grill. I saw the prices on cleaning material laundry detergent toilet paper excetera I had to buy several items then I found some work shirts for under $10 somewhere $6.50 long story short everything I bought I felt I got a great deal on I spent over $140 I did get a $15 rebate Ill definitely go back

2022-07-01Delivery department is a joke. I paid over $ 100.00 to have product delivered, I was told the delivery would be here between 11 am - 3 pm - wasted day waiting all day, truck showed after 3 pm. The product was not what I wanted, I asked Menards to pick-up the return, over another $ 100.00 spend to pick-up. Menards said they could not get here for a week, the pick-up day came - no truck, could not get here - another wasted day. Menards delivery manager called late and said they could get here the next day. What a waste and time and money. I was going to give an order to Menards for my siding job. - No way now, I will go with Home Depot. Menards, the K Mart of Home Improvement stores!

2022-05-15Me and my wife went to Menards e broad street looking for laminate floor after selecting the floor we wanted had to search store for flat cart once I loaded the flooring onto my cart and proceeded to go to check out I was followed through the store like I was going to steel 9 boxes of flooring once I got to register I presented a printed gift card cashier wasn’t sure how to handle that manager came of and at a glance said absolutely not they could not accept that as payment so I went home and used the same printed gift card online to pick up at different store the broad street location is a joke will never shop there again

2022-06-19The staff is nice, but not always available. Had to wait 20 minutes to return something, because a manager was with a guest, but when the manager finally showed up, I recognized her as someone who had just been hanging out at a counter near the exit chatting with other personnel and snacking on something when Id initially gone in that way to ask where the returns desk was.But thats the good part.The bad part was the product I bought, namely a Commander® 32W x 80H Primed Steel Flush Exterior Door System - Right Inswing Model Number: 4141020.This is the absolute worst POS product Ive ever put my hands on, and getting it ready for installation was the worst DIY carpentry experience of my so far long life (Im in my mid-60s). Many of the hinge mounting holes werent positioned correctly, some of the hinge mounting screws were in at crazy angles, two of the hinges were bent, 16 of the 24 hinge mounting screws had stripped heads, one of the mortises wasnt cut deep enough, and had to be chiseled by hand to make the door fit the frame squarely. The person who assembled this door was completely incompetent and possibly ill tempered.How Menards can let such a POS get past inspection is impossible to imagine. I should have brought it back, but thats very difficult with just my car for transport, and each individual problem seemed like it couldnt get worse, until it did, but by then. Id already modified the damned thing. Will never shop at this store again.

2022-06-01Went and bought 525 bricks for my patio. Hired 2 guys to pick them up for me. The guys go to pick up the bricks and Menards couldn’t find the quantity I ordered (even though they had it in stock). I go to do a refund since the guys didn’t get the bricks. I get told that a worker found the bricks (after the guys that I hired had left). I speak to the GM and he says that it wasn’t their fault. Apparently it’s my fault that the workers didn’t look for the bricks. Zero stars if I could.
