Menards in other cities:
Menards is a pretty good store for One-Stop shopping they have a large variety to shop from. Its a new store that just open and they still have a few kinks to work out. Overall I would say customer service when I was there was pretty good. Any questions I had about anything the staff was more than helpful to answer plus the large aisles made it more comfortable to move around the store
I went to Menards for the first time and it is nice. What a big store. I was with someone who was picking up an order in the back of the store. Everything was in stock and it didnt take long to get the items. This store sells various things. I noticed light fixtures, sinks, bagged candy, dish soap, concrete bags, dog treats, bricks and more. Ill be returning to check it out again as I wasnt able to walk around the entire store. Its very spacious in there!
Worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. They seem to change their price match policy on a whim. Ive spent thousands on new appliances, etc at Menards. This isnt the first time bad experience Ive had with them but its the last. I will never spend another penny in this store. Take your business to Lowes or Home Depot where they seem to respect their clients more so than Menards.
The parking lot was drivable but still a few inches of snow, my mom just needed spray insulation and was able to get in and out easily with the direction of a couple ladies that worked there. Very polite and straight forward. She was in and out no more than 20 mins. And was convenient enough that they had a Starbucks frappuccino for the drive home. Yum.
I had a leaky propane tank, I did not buy it from Menards. I came to menards to buy an adapter when I realized the tank in my car was leaking. I went to customer service my problem. They took the tank and replaced it with a new tank for free. I appreciate your help. You guys are my heroes!!!
Beware- you might be buying used merchandise!I bought a 5x7 area rug for $129.00 today, brought it home and laid it out in my living room. After a few minutes, I started wheezing, coughing and itching all over.It reminded me of the reaction I get from dogs and cats due to my allergies, but since I’m so allergic, no dog has ever been in my house ( I love them, just too allergic!)I took some tape and stuck a few pieces to the rug and when I pulled it up… DOG/CAT HAIRS!!!Where do I start? This is disgusting…if I wanted to buy a used rug, I would have went to a yard sale. And 129.00 is not cheap. My allergic reaction was pretty bad, the rug was big and heavy and a pain to drag back to Menards…and the manager could not have cared less when I explained what happened. He said, “ it could have been a return… sorry that happened”.Really? You didn’t seem to be. Ridiculous. At least I got my money back, and of course won’t go back there.
The check out and return staff was friendly. Had a large only order spent about $1300. The whole store layout is overwhelming and weird, but thats personal preference. My problem was the pick up. On the phone I was told I could come pick up my order. When I drove 45 minutes and arrived they said no its not ready well email you. When I drove back the next day the loading staff was rude, roughly put items in the truck, probably the reason I had to have the hassle of returning items because they could have broke them. The tub and surround was busted so thats why I had to return them. When i told them it wouldnt work and I didnt like how they were organized in my truck the girl said thats not my job Im not moving this stuff around 100 times. Will not be back for sure. I will just keep buying garbage at home depot.
The store is really big and really brightly lit... They got alot of cool accessories for almost anything electronic you could possibly think of! Almost like Home Depot and Best Buy had a baby and Home Depot is the dad and the baby Menards got mostly his genes. If you have a return with out a receipt forget it! They seem really uptight when it comes to their return policy there. I would probably shop at home depot rather than Menards for the fact I dont use credit cards and dont belong to many loyalty store programs and I lose alot of receipts and I never want to experience their return counter or the little crazy menards girl behind the counter again! If I need a accessory for one of my electronics Ill just stick with BB or Amazon.. Besides all that the prices seem about equal or maybe a little higher, but they do have alot to look at and buy...
Like most places today good knowledgeable help is impossible to find and Menards is no exception. Youre pretty much on your own here. Also, I wish they would stop the 11% off everything rebate gimmick and just lower the prices 11%. However, I know and so do they that that will never happen because a good percentage of people never bother jumping through all the hoops to get the rebate.
Made this purchase less than a month ago of a resin composite door with door jamb and within one month door jamb breaks and the store refused flat out to make repairs or costs of new jamb. This product is faulty and will break soon after installation of a screen door. Store manager stated that it broke due to wind damage after I CLEARLY stated what happened when I opened the door wide. Besides that, why would a door break under pressure after only having it for less than one month.? They wouldn’t even eat the cost of repair not to mention keeping my door while ordering another one. This is beyond bad customer service. I paid almost a grand for this door. If you are considering buying a Composite fiber glass door …..don’t go to Menards…..worst experience ever. Will not be shopping there anymore. You even have to wait forever for your rebate “that you have to use in the store” What a rip off!!!!!!
Very clean store and product is very nice.Ive been in retail for over 43 years. If I dont know about a product or where it is located I always ask.4 times was told what I was looking for was there and it wasnt.( Wild goose chase)And I still have to return the product because it is WRONG but was told this is what your looking for. NOT!!!!
This place is amazing!!! The staff took great care and time with me. Helped me extensively pick the right food and treats for my new puppy, and for my older dog too. My new puppy ate the new food like crazy, I couldnt believe it. He was not eating the food that the breeder suggested, but the new stuff, he really gobbled it up.Thank you so much!!
I never been onto a big Menards before its different but they have everything in there. It was pretty nice. Although I didnt walk through the whole store because in the middle of me letting my kids look for a toy they wanted I began to feel someone staring at me and the worker didnt stop staring at me and my children while were shopping. Very uncomfortable so I ended my shopping. But I think it is a nice store and u can shop more lots of things there.
They have alot of nice grocery items that cos t less then the grocery store. Staff was very friendly and help me to find some items. Unfortunately they didnt have the dishwasher I wanted and all the charcoal grills were over 200.00. But I got very nice wood flooring for a good price.
It nice to order online and pick up in store. Took a few days to arrive at store which wasnt a problem. Walked in and picked up within 15 minutes. One thing I didnt care for was location of puck up. Pick up should be in front of store near customer service. Instead of all the way in back off store by lumber. Nice customer service though.
None of the employees were helpful. Not one of the 6 I approached for help could help me find an item. 😂 Then customer service couldnt even help. By the way I ended finding it myself after all 6 sent me to different parts of the store.. 😒🙄Im canceling my credit card for this pathetic place and sticking with home depot.
Clean store. Affable staff. Prices are great, and good quantity, also. One thing is that you cant get the timber or plywood etc. cut by the staff; a service quite common at Home Depot and Lowes. Also, curbside pickup is extra charge at Menards, while its free at other competitors like Lowes and Home Depot. Thanks.
Usually well-stocked and unlike the local competitors they have all hardware; for every bolt they have the right nut, etc. Prices are the best even after competitors discounts. Staff are normally easy to find. Building materials/lumber yard allows you to drive right up to the stock and fill a pickup ticket. Tool rental is small but beats Home Depot in price for what they do have and you still will probably need Home Depot to complete most tool rental jobs or get finer sandpaper for sanders.
I try to choose Menards for a couple simple reasons, 1 they have more made in USA products than home Depot or Lowes, do they have the amount I would like to see, No, but If its where I gotta shop to get the best chance at what I have an immediate need being made in America then they will be my first choice. All I can add is that if I am able to order a product on line and have the time to wait for it I wouldnt shop at any of these stores because I can find everything I want and find it made in USA on line. I wish just one store would get hip to the fact that most of us would rather pay more for a quality US made product because we know if buy the Chinese similar product we will buy it 5 times before that one that only cost twice as much ever gives us any trouble whatsoever. But thank you Menards for at least trying to offer some fine products, Dave
Have great finds and some great helpful staff. Also has useless staff. I have painful burn on my leg and I had to go take pictures of price tag for a upright deep freezer located back of massive store and up stairs. They called someone who stuck to the incorrect price all too nonchalantly. Irritating experience on Feb 22, 2021. Front store customer service lacking plus have to chase staff down for any assistant.Had wonderful gentleman working back store take heavy freezer item down stairs swiftly. Impressive. Wish I gog his name. He worked next to stair saw us at top and asked us if we needed assistant. Only employee in entire store willing to assist without being hunted down. A few even tried to avert gaze when you called upon them. Sad actually.
The order pickup process is by far one of the easiest things I have ever done! Ive never been one to shop online but everyone was so friendly and nice!! 12/10 experience, would recommend to anyone and everyone. Shop online for a safe, friendly and welcoming experience.
In a nutshell, the place is almost guaranteed to have what youre looking for as far as home improvements, but they have everything else too. I just find it odd to be waiting in line for the cashier holding window caulk, drill bits and a jar of peanut butter. It seems a bit distracting to be shopping for light fixtures and a sale on gummy worms catches your eye. Maybe its just me, but when Im in the home improvement mood, I have to stay focused, not distracted by hot wheel cars and laundry detergent. Maybe Im too judgemental. Who knows. Anyway, the store is clean, well stocked and employees are more than kind, and their rebates are handy. Will I shop there again? Of course. When I need some 2x4s and dogfood.
What store shows you inventory, purchase it online, drive all the way to the store (not close) just to find that they havent had that item for over a year? Menards. Waste of time company. Insanely cumbersome order pickup process. Its no wonder why I often forget this place even exists. As far as Im concerned, it doesnt.
Much better experience in February 2021 than when I was here in June 2020 ; the place was a mess, dirty, dusty, disorganized, over picked,no prices marked on seasonal items and over crowded.I dreaded going here yesterday but they had am item that was exactly what I was looking for and in stock.I was actually really impressed to see that they got their affairs in order and that the place looked great.Employees were friendly and helpful plus a larger selection than Lowes and Home Depot. However I do find that their prices on paint are rather expensive compared to the latter.
I got a $67 rebate and I spent $120... the $43+ rest I paid in cash. I bought a $37 wheel barrel wheel with my purchases, and it was not the correct size and they didnt have the correct one in stock. That was the only thing I needed to return and asked for a cash return with my receipt and they would not give me my money back!! They would only give me store credit rebate but, they didnt have it in stock!! I needed my cash I paid with back to buy it somewhere else! They would not give me cash back that I paid with! Even the manager Xavier wouldnt help me! That alone just lost my business. This company thrived DURING the pandemic and the fact you cant give a customers cash back WHO HAS A RECEIPT SHOWING I PAID CASH FOR IT. NEVER AGAIN.
While the staff was courteous and did their best to be helpful, the structure and systems in place do not make it easy to have a good experience here. We did an online order for some lumber and other items. We received the notification that the order was ready for pickup. So we journeyed to Menards to pick up our items. We went in the pick up area in the back and were having trouble locating the fencing lumber we had ordered and was told via email was ready for us. After speaking with a very nice staff member, we were told that there is no guarantee that the materials are there for you, but that it is available on a first come first serve basis. Purportedly, the best way to determine product availability is to just call the store before you come and ask them to physically go out to the yard and locate the materials before you actually come to the store. We were assured that the needed lumber was probably on the next truck and would likely be there within three days. But that we should call first. After resigning ourselves to just returning the lost lumber and purchasing it elsewhere, we ventured into the order pick up area inside the building to get the rest of our order. Unfortunately, our order as it was given to us was missing one item, one item was the incorrect item, and the box of screws appeared to have lost a fight with a rodent. We arrived at the store around 4:45pm, and did not depart until 6pm. Again, the staff was as helpful as they could be, but there appears to be no point in an online order system when it is entirely possible that you will not actually be able to acquire your items when they tell you they are ready to be picked up. The lumber selection is great, but the mental anguish is not worth it.
My husband and I were building an enclosed raised garden this past week, and let’s just say we’re newbies at building ANYTHING in general. We had no idea how to locate and pull lumber. We worked with Tracy at the desk by the lawn and garden/lumber yard, and she was AMAZING! We were frustrated when she took us under her wing. But she made the whole process a breeze. She took us out to “the barn,” showed us exactly what we needed and where it was, and she was super patient with us. She had us laughing at ourselves by the end of it all. I had to stop back the next day for some odds and ends, and she noticed me mulling around. She remembered my name, asked what I needed, and helped me find it yet again. She added some quick whit, which I love, and I said yeah, “I won’t see you again tomorrow!” She laughed and said “We’ll see!” It had me cracking up and made the whole process lighter for me when I tend to get frustrated. Being a female doing any sort of construction is a little daunting for me. It was great to see a woman so comfortable and helpful back there doing an awesome job! Thanks Tracy! You’re a rock star!! I’ll be back when we decide to build that chicken coop! ;)
Ill never do a project again using Menards. It was a first and last time in this regard. Online order was painless, returns were painless. But delivery of the product was a disaster, their delivery contractor cracked my driveway, they stacked two skids of pavers six foot high (not safe by OSHA Im sure). One skid had a bunch of hidden damage buried inside of it. They also blocked up the driveway because their site states how they will call you after delivery to further move delivered goods. I never heard from them.I contacted their Customer Service Dept (corportate) and complained about this, their response was basically like Thanks for the business, sorry to hear about your experience. I contacted the delivery manager at the store via email. Never heard from him after I sent him my complaints. I even went as far as to send my complaints to the State AG in which the remediation process is voluntary. Menards did not care to participate.Buyer beware when it comes to large scale projects/delivery and make sure you verify your delivery of goods.
Very bad experience that was solely the stores fault and they didnt care one bit.I ordered some tile to redo my kitchen floor and basement steps, the order said it would be in by 4-7-2021, I get an email on that date that my order had arrived at the store and I could pick it up. I go to pick up my order and they could not find my order as I was waiting there for over an hour. They finally come and tell me that they dont believe my ordered was ever on the delivery truck and that I needed to reorder my tile.I asked to speak to a manager to see if there was anything that could be done for the customer as that was a big waste of my time, and I had to reschedule for my work to be done at home as I thought I would have the tile by then. Well the manager told me there was nothing they could do not even offer a gift card or discount or anything for my inconvience.Menards advertise that they take care of their customers but yet they definitely didnt take care of me and it was a very terrible experience. This type of stuff should not be at the customers expense and if anything they couldve atleast tried to make it right.Needless to say I wont be shopping there anymore.Im giving it one star only because I have to to be able to post this review.
Great experience every time there. today purchased a countertop, with the help of an employee we loaded 1 of 2 onto my vehicle. upon loading the second one, the counter got caught on the employees safety vest causing the employee to lose his grip and drip it which damaged it pretty badly. very apologetic employee and i was not upset at all. within a few minutes he had resolved the issue and had a new one brought out to my car. i felt bad for him as it was just an accident and i hope he does not get in trouble for it. issue resolved though and i will keep coming back for more! great staff and stock!
Good store. Good merchandise. Good customer service. Just don’t understand why Menards think 11% off is such a huge discount. I mean .22 off an item that cost $1.99 may be cool for some people but really you paying that back in taxes. I’m just saying let’s get a 25-30% off.
Menard has pretty good setup went for house ware stuff. Found everything we needed.Update: had to add an extra star needed some backsplash tiles had gone there to find them then went home to measure but when I got back to actually buy them they only had 4 left. One of the staff there help me and gave me all the options to get me the tiles but unfortunately I needed them somewhat quickly he found me every store near me where they had this available. Went to the store and found the additional tiles I needed. Great help and very friendly.
Menards is a great one stop shop. The atmosphere is relaxed and the store is super clean. A company without great employees is not a great company. Well at Menards you can tell when you walk in that is a great company by the crew they have at hand. From the welcome at the door to individuals like BRIAN in the flooring area. What an awesome , chilled guy to speak to. Great knowledge about all types of flooring is demonstrated by him when he answered all my concerns and helped me decide which one to choose. I could go about Brian but I wanted to also mention RACHEL she is one of the friendly cashiers at hand. Went out of her way to assist me when purchasing a mop for my cleaning business. So just go in and see for yourself!! You gonna love it!!And plus as I may conclude, Management is fabulous!! I met Anita who is one of the managers on the floor, total chill as well and friendly!!Menards should be happy to have such awesome people displaying the qualities in humans which is so LACKING these days working in their business because the quality of customer service they do every day, not only brings Menards prestige but the ones whom REALLY DESERVE ALL THE GLORY are the MENADS EMPLOYEES!!!!
Menards in Brooklyn is an excellent store to shop in. They have great prices excellent variety of products. The store is very clean great customer service they blow Home Depot and Lowes away at least unlike those stores you can find people throughout the store working. For the most part Menards also has cheaper prices. The only thing I think they should have iui s houseplants. Keep up the good work. Cashiers are also very friendly.
Love this place!!! Great service people, great knowledgable people to advisre you along with your project..AND...OMG! the prices are way better than Home Depot and Lowes! I went to rent a pressure washer and Home Depot said $67.00 & $150.00 deposit for 4 hours😡😮...Menards rents it for $30.00 & NO DEPOSIT FOR 24 HOURS!!! So, where do you think I rented it from? GREAT JOB MENARDS!!!👍👍
Poor service. Employees dont know products they sell or locations of product much less if any are in stock. Employee that was supposed to be helping me went to find another employee who might actually know something disappeared and left me standing there never came back. First and last time I ever set foot in store. Wish there was option for zero stars.
Be warned: their online in store pickup is atrocious. I ordered a few items on a Saturday afternoon for in store pickup. Got an email saying they were ready that evening. The next morning I went in to the pick up area. An associate dug around the orders about 5 minutes, found one of my items, then said shes going to get the rest of them. She took a cart into the store and returned 30 minutes later after basically doing the shopping. Also, I ordered mulch and it was not there. I found some kid that worked there who said the website is weird and approves anything. So I had to go in and get a refundHot mess. Maybe one day Ill try shopping in store. But this was 90 minutes wasted for me.
You can hardly get any help. Stuff isnt where its supposed to be. Prices are marked wrong only because the item underneath is wrong. Its very confusing. I sent my elderly grandparents to shop here and I will never make that mistake again. Its great they have so much and prices are decent but if you cant find things or get help to make purchases its all for nothing.
Staff was super friendly . Cashier was smiling , friendly, and made us feel welcome. The store was clean, well stocked, and employees were engaged in their tasks ( not talking on their phones! ) And they asked if we needed help as we wandered after deciding on initial purchase choices . The store was super clean , temperature was perfect, and parking lot was clear of carts and debris.
Safety rating 90% . I saw some suspicious activity around there. Good thing is Brooklyn or Parma can get there pretty quick. Cant rate safety at 100% :this is the 3rd time I saw something that switched on my radar. They have plenty of parking and just about anything for home remodeling or improvement. Tons and tons of tools and equipment. Women take your husband or boyfriend there. He is going to love you for it. Prices are way way cheaper than the box stores. Parking Lot is gigantic. Dont park too far from the front door. Im from the hood ;and when I say I saw something weird- trust me on it. Store is clean, employees are helpful and they know their departments they work in. You are going to be there for hours. They also sell appliances and groceries.***(save your receipts and get one of those rebate forms on the way out the door. Mail that joint in and get 11% back of the total amount you spent. Its actually a store credit instead of cash but so what. Its free money. Bring some cash with you. They have things there I have never seen anywhere else. You know what I mean...the kind of stuff where people ask you : where did you get this?
TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE LEAVING ONE STAR REVIEWS.....Why dont you you try being on the OTHER side of the road here.Dealing with IMPATIENT, AGITATED AND DOWNRIGHT RUDE customers like the ones leaving these poor reviews are the reason why this HARD WORKING STAFF quit!Stop getting frustrated with team members all because YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING with your home improvement projects because you want to do them yourselves and your too LAZY to do your own research on the way to DO IT YOURSELF and DONT take it out on the team members that are doing their jobs to the BEST OF THEIR ABILITIES by dealing with customers.Get OVER YOURSELVES and DO YOUR RESEARCH before walking into the store and taking it out on these WONDERFUL TEAM MEMBERS!!!!!!!
Update: why when I go inside, I see all the older workers running around working hard. Then I see all the young kids just playing around. It seems a bit of ageism is going on.Wow, this place is so disorganized. Management has no clue what there doing. I asked the employee there, and they have such a quick turnover. Looks great but man, there no order to it. I dont think Menards is going to say in Ohio for very long.I talked with employees they say there no training. I literally saw an employee walk off the job. I really feel sorry for the workers there.Update: I wanted to add they do rebates that you get in the mail sooooooo keep your recipes to fill it out. People forget it all the time, and you lose out. There is no way to reprint it.
If you need anything for your home this is the place to go however the only thing they dont have are the proper accessories for specific tools or power tools.... I would go to worcesters for that. However this place has everything that you need. if youre about to spend thousands of dollars realize that you get a rebate from here of 11% if its that time of year I would highly recommend jumping on that I basically saved about $700 on my fence.
Doing a bedroom bathroom remodel . I purchased a vanity . Standing matching cabinet . Shower base, then the glass slider and corner glass piece. I waited till everything arrived at store then proceeded to go pick everything up . When I arrived the shower base and the slider glass of the door wasent in yet. Ok. I was told it was on it way to store. A week later I tracked the order and it said picked up in full. Proceeded to call and they went and watched the cameras and verified I didn’t get it and it was a workers error . Product comes in a month later . Me and my buddy go and proceed to install everything, we get to doing the glass shower and realize that the employee ordered us the wrong dimension corner glass piece even though we be ordered the base and the the glass slider to the right size . He ordered everything on his computer by the bath and flooring section . Now I have to return it and re order the correct size and probably have to wait another month to wait on another menards mess up .if Lowe’s had the bath shower displays set up at the time of purchase I would of never went to menards. Bad turn around time and multiple mistakes by employees. Sad part is I didn’t even get the rebate perk because it was off season of when they offered it . I wouldn’t even go back with double perk incentives
😠First impression was its too big to find anything. I went in for a sale item, they didnt carry it. Really??So here I am a year later, updating my review. Two stars originally. First dont go in here without downloading the app and using the map feature. Youll never find what youre looking for. Or youll spend a fortune, they have cool stuff.Second, always look at Home Depo before going. Mostly less expensive items there. They have a bigger variety of plants during the spring but expect to pay the price. Its close to home, so I go once in awhile, but honestly its cheaper elsewhere. Check out sale items and clearance stuff periodically.
I couldnt wait to move into our new home as we are now closer to a Menards and I could get away from the other 2 home stores, well. Im going back to them. Menards is behind the times. My refund was issued on paper-strike 1. I got the refund for something that broke due to faulty equipment-strike 2. The replacement item is only available online, but on the day of the refund, it was out of stock BUT I had to go back to the specific department to find that out. Customer service cant do that at their computer, they are returns only-strike 3. When I discovered item was back in stock, I went to the department(as I was told I needed to do to order that particular item), 3 girls were working in that department(I specifically asked if the worked in that department, yes they said), but when I told them I needed to place an order, they sent me to another department-strike 4, where only 1 person was working AND there was a line. THEN, he couldnt ring me up, I had to go BACK up front and wait in another line to pay for my online order. I had an issue my very 1st encounter with this Menards location, but I blew it off as the person having a bad day, well, that is just how Menards works. Very poor customer service. Oh and I continue to have issues with part of the product I had to replace, poor quality stuff.
This store has a terrible culture of ignoring customers. When you do ask for help you get dirty looks and eye rolls. Brand new beautiful store that will never survive treating guests like an inconvenience rather than the sole reason for being open. I gave you multiple chances and you never fail to disappoint.
I give 2 stars because if you have to order something that they claim is a stock item it will not be available on the date they give. They dont seem to be any better than the other big box stores and I have encountered a couple of people in the plumbing department who seem like they just dont want to be of help. Unlike the other two competitors in the area they do have staff that you can actually stop and ask for help.I will be canceling my order and going to The Home depot for what I need.
Had the items in the weekly ad, as well as other item for a better price than I anticipated. And guess what, the cashier was waiting at the top of her aisle to ask If I was done shopping and she could check out for me. When does that ever happen. Yeah! I also needed a duplicate receipt which the girl at the entrance assisted to process and print for me, and she was most polite
First off, the employees there are relatively helpful and nice, but not knowing where products are, and if they even exist in the store is a bit of a problem. Also, spend 20 minutes trying to call just to get a live person, only to be quick transferred to a department that wouldnt pick up in the first place. You would think when a new home improvement store comes to town, they would learn from the other two on what not to do. I couldnt care less how low your prices are, it means very little in the grand scheme of things. Still have not gotten through, and have given up on it.With that said, it is the best of all the home improvement stores. Much better selection, people actually know where things are, and is very clean.
Its good. Save Big Money not so much. Some items are cheaper at Lowes or Home Depot. Do your homework. The rebate thing...11% off...kinda P.I.A. If your a first timer dont for get the rebate slips at the front of the store. They are only good for a limited time per your sale, so jump on it ASAP.
I was so excited when i heard they were opening a Menards near us. I have heard great things from friends that live west and we are working on some major renovation projects on a couple of different homes. And I agree with many of the other reviews, the prices are a little cheaper on average. But as the saying goes... you get what you pay for. Or in my case, not even that. The service is poor, they have lost our products even though they have been paid for, they have lost orders in their system even though we have a paper copy to present, no one knows what is going on, who is in charge, or who can answer simple questions. We have called on products a few times now, told they were in stock and when we leave the job sites to purchase the product, we find that the products are in fact NOT in stock. Their customer service, all the way up to the corporate office is a joke and their policies are basically oh well. There are a few other issues but I just dont want to put more time into this review. But, even things I didnt think anyone could screw up, Menards found a way to go and figure it out. I will never purchase a thing from that store again. Not a light fixture, not a hammer, not as much as a battery. Home Depot, Lowes and the many builder supply places in Cleveland will do just fine and in most case, are far more customer friendly and in many case less expensive.
Great prices and variety, only issue I have are online orders. I never received the email with the scanning barcode. I had to park, go inside and walk to the area that I would drive to, 10 min. later after talking to an associate in the online order pick up bay and brings up my order. I pull up in my vehicle and park and walk back in. I then waited 30 min. for them to find my order. I though I was finally done, getting ready to sign the tablet screen. It doesnt want to load, after one associate tried resetting it for 10 min. but couldnt he finds I believe the manager. He resets it after 5 min. Still waiting and it still wasnt fixed. Then I was told dont worry just go. I have never waited so long. It seems to be more of a headache to do anything that isnt in store. I wish I got an apology or something. Im not that guy that causes a scene, but many people wouldve.
I needed to purchase parts to repair my toilet and to my surprise Menards is offering 15% off every item you can fit into the brown paper bag youll get as you walk through I hear its for the next two weeks so naturally I picked up a few extra items save big money at Menards!!!!
After unsuccessfully tearing my house apart looking for a receipt, I returned to your store to try to hopefully at least get a partial store credit for my items in hand. Anthony at your return desk graciously introduced me to the wonderful kiosk (for people like me that misplace receipts), walked me thru how to use it to reprint my lost receipt, and I was able to get a full refund! THANK YOU Anthony and Menards for terrific customer service!
A huge selection of just about anything a homeowner or contractor would need. Prices were better if not comparable to that of Home Depot or Lowes. Its a brand new store so its very clean and organized and has plenty of aisle space unlike most home improvement places. Would definitely recommend.
Great prices, huge selection, Xavier was a great help loading the bricks in my vehicle. The only complaint i have is they dont have enough employees to run back and check prices, since the radios obviously arent working as expected. So i had to run back and take a picture of the price of a product myself, after waiting 10min for someone to answer the radio for a correct price and no one answered.
Horrible. The right hand dont know what the left hand is doing. Got a complete run-around for the thermometer in Sundays ad. After being directed to almost every dept there, finally was told by the paint department that no rain checks are offered because its not an every day item. Seems no one else in the store, including customer service, knew that. I called on the phone first and they told me to come in to get a rain check. Hate that store!
Much improved since first opening, but thats to be expected. Cashier Melanie was great, she ran a rebate form out to our car that we forgot. Stock is sometimes low on popular flooring items, but they are still getting a lot of customers. Again, probably something that gets better over time.
This place is amazing for their lower prices and great selection. It was fun to look around and compare to the other big box stores. I only gave it a 3 because their customer service needs some improvement. A couple employees I encountered were great! Admitted that what I had asked was not within their realm of knowledge and sought out someone who could better help. Others gave me a deer in the head lights look like I was speaking some sort of secret language from a non existent country. Their customer service reps up front were rude. I would probably think twice about going back but their prices are better than most and Im not afraid to push back on the rudeness.
Although Menards has been on Brookpark rd for several years I’ve avoided going there for several reasons.Being a senior citizen I try to avoid big box stores, normally there isn’t anyone to assist you and trying to find something is exhausting walking from one end of the store to other and back again and from the outside, the store looks huge.Normally if I have to go to one of the big three I choose Loews, seem to have The friendliest most informed employees.I stopped at Menards on 1/7 in the early afternoon, as the parking lot wasn’t to full thought I would give it a try. There was a display of “Fill the Bag get 15% off”, an employee was walking by and a customer asked him how this worked, (the employee saw me, I was waiting til he finished with the gentlemen), he said to the customer “it’s written right there see the sign”. I thought that wasn’t very kind. But instead of turning to me I had to follow after him to ask my question-where something was located, if looks could kill I would have been dead, his answer was “it’s in appliances”; and walked away, like I was really bothering him. Never been in the store before I had not clue as to where appliance could be.Needless to say I left the store, I’m to old to walk that entire store trying to find “appliances”.Guess I won’t be returning-I’d rather pay a few dollars more and be treated kindly.
They have good prices on some stuff, but things are very hard to find in the store, its not like home depot or lowes that gives you the isle and bay location of what your looking for, menards map in app is way to general for the location of what you are looking for. If they would take the time and fix that the store would be super.
Do not trust Cabinet Department with large purchases. Inexperienced and unprofessional staff lack attention to details, their inexperience will cost you time and money. Store management unwilling to resolve issues created by Cabinet Department. Dont expect the manufacturer Cardell to help you either. They will just refer you back to Menards store in vicious cycle of inaction. Disappointing customer service all around. They money I thought I saved was not worth the hassle. Safe yourself buy cabinets from a reputable place. So sorry I put my trust in Menards.
Not enough staff. We needed a motorized scooter. One out of order and the other sitting in the parking lot dead. Customer service at entry had 9 ppl waiting so left the other shoppers and walked to exit. She told me store only has 2. She would call to bring the one in from outside but it would be some time before they could get to us. Very unfortunate knowing 4 first time Not great that they dont help those with disabilities. customers walked out without shopping. Purchased all items elsewhere with functional scooters.
I was dying to get this hardware store and how good it is. I love the customer service they have very prepared and professional. The materials from construction, to courtyards is very varied and successful with a 5-star quality. As far as I am concerned, it is a hardware store prepared to meet customer expectations.
I visited the location earlier in the month of July. My girlfriend and I were shopping for a washer because the other one broke while kelly was washing cloths. The appliance department did not have an associate around and we had to have one called to the area to assist us. Once the store associate arrived, he didnt seemed trained to be able to answer all my questions or simply replied by I do not know. We looked at several washers, most were out of stock and would take up to 3 weeks to be in stock and arrange for delivery. We did find one that would suit our needs but wasnt budget friendly it was a floor model but no discount would be awarded eventhough it looked like a floor model that had been nicked up a little. We saw another on that was in stock. It too wasnt budget friendly. We asked if they deliver. They said they do but there is an extra charge. The associate wrote up the order and we went down to the counter to arrange for delivery. The gentleman notified us delivery is $79 and they only drop off at the door because of covid 19. I replied how is my girlfriend going to get this in her house. She is weak and tired all the time because she has leukemia and takes chemo medication. They said they could not enter the home and suggested that I help her to get it in the house. I asked if they would prorate the delivery because they are only completing half the work and I could use the money to pay someone to move it in the house. They would not grant that to me. I showed them paperwork that cleared kelly and myself of covid 19 that I recieved from our doctors and further clarified with the store associate that we will be clear of their path so they can complete the whole delivery. They would not agree because of safety concerns. I even offered double for the delivery fee. They still refused. I cancelled the order and went to HOME DEPOT. The prices were better, the associate was knowledged and most appliances were in stock. The delivery charge is free for any purchase over $300. And they will deliver, hook up, and take away old equipment. What a deal. Menards lost out on a $900 purchase plus taxes and delivery. However lyrics for up as my game because I save more money at Home Depot Home. In fact Kelly opened a credit card and has 6 months interest free and she was eligible for another $50 discount for opening a credit card. Menards you suck.
Took more than a month for an order to be delivered, no explanation or apology, and had to email (no response) and call multiple times to schedule delivery. then, on the delivery day, i got a message saying that half of my order would be delivered two days later. i wanted to support a local business, but unfortunately its not worth the hassle with Menards.
Zero stars. Never have any luck here.parked at garden center. Loaded 15 bags of mulch on a rare and hard to find flat cart. Busy garden centers registers closed at like 6:40. 2 cashiers standing there chatting. Left the cart in the aisle . Everytime we think we will give it a try again it always disappoints!
I was going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars.5-because the place has everything. Everything BUT someone that can tell you where something is!!But if you have a couple hours to spare definitely go to Menards and have a stroll, or get your steps in for the day and discover everything that Menards has!!!No lie, they have EVERYTHING!!!
Nice store but their staff is horrible and seems with zero training. First of all , construction carts nowhere to be found , second guy working there actually asked me If I know where the adhesive and tape section is.... No joke. Another day my wife asked about plastic Adirondack chairs and was given a reply that they are sold out but two aisle farther down there was a huge pile of them..... I mean come on
Great Customer Service & a HUGE Lighting selection!! Special thanks to Cory in the light dept, Zach in hardware & Haley at check-out!!! We special ordered two light fixtures for our new home.....the flush Luxury 6-light hanging crystal chrome fixture & the Falton 3light Vanity Light fixture. Our entire experience was Great, we received our special order approx 3days earlier than expected. Honestly I have to say other hardware stores could stand to take a few customer service notes. Menards will now be our choice for home hardware needs. Worth the longer drive across town. Keep up the great service!! And, thanks for accepting service dogs.
Avoid this location if you can!!! Drove 30 min here to pick up items I had a Your order is ready for pick up confirmation form for, waited 30 min while they looked for everything, to be told Id have to drive another 47 min to another location to pick up the rest of my order. Managers offered no remorse for wasting my time or gas...
I think that need to explain on returns that to huge to bring back into the store. For example I returned 2- 4x4 an 1- 2 2x4 an 8 2x4 lumber. And left in my truck to find out what to do with it, ( no clue ).Until I ask.Ok had to fill out a return order...Then she ask for my license plate Number. Will I dont remember my so I had to walk all the way back to where I was parked. At the age off 62yrs old.I just think someone needs to tell about license numbers are need before they an complete the order.Sorry. That is all I have for you.I love your store. And I will continue to be a loyal customer.Thank You.
I would rate a 0 if I could. Went to get flooring. Already new what I wanted and how much I needed the women today told us to wait after being first in the line. She went and helped someone with carpet 30 mins later we left. Wont be stepping back in this store. Will stick to Home Depot.
I am unable to wear a mask, or face shield. Your staff wont let me in. Your company has effectively alienated a big group of people. I used to be a loyal customer, but since you have refused me service I will no longer be shopping at your stores. Once you remove your mask mandates then you will start to see some of the people you have lost to your competitors. REMEMBER: your business and jobs depend on your most important asset, your customers. Once you start alienating them you are only mere steps away from ruining your business and reputation
My fiancee and I purchased our whole kitchen for our remodel through Menards. We spent over $7,000 in the store. We picked out EVERYTHING the same as the display model. Our measurements were EXACTLY the same as the display model. After waiting for the counter to come in, i picked it up and was so excited to install it as we were moving in the next week. Unfortunately, they cut the sink right above the dishwasher and we couldnt install it. Menards said they would expedite us another one with the correct cut for the sink. After waiting another week and a half, and already have moved in, i got the call that the counter was in. I was so happy and immediately loaded the original one they messed up, and drove up to pick it up and do the exchange. I was surprised to see 2 new ones in the back with my name on them. Unfortunately, they BOTH had the same cut putting the sink above my dishwasher AGAIN. So here we are a month later, still with no counter. I told Menards to just get me an uncut one and Ill cut it myself. 7 days later and they just told me they cancelled my order? I asked them what they could do to remedy this situation and they said theres NOTHING they will do after they put us through all this. My fiancee and i are disgusted by the way we were treated after spending so much money in their store. NEVER AGAIN will we patronize them or recommend them to anyone. This is absolutely the worst customer service imaginable.
Easy place to shop but disappointing experience. Question the Associates knowledge. The wall in the store advertised Night Stands. I asked one Associate where they were and he told me to look in the Furniture section. After 20 minutes of looking I asked another Associate and he said they had been discontinued. Not very pleasant experience.
My visit to Menards this afternoon was a rollercoaster of events. I wanted to buy lattice...after checking in the lumber department I call the front desk from my cell phone, and was told it was in gardening. After walking all the way through gardening and landscaping...to the back of the building - I saw the outdoors wood department. So I went to the front check out and asked to pay for the lattice. I was told I would need to walk to the back and get a pick-ticket. By this time, I have family waiting for me...so I did not. But I did stop by customer service and after telling my story, the woman behind the deck did work to make things right..she was very nice..and created a pick-ticket for me. NEXT I drive around back - load my 7 pcs of lattice myself, check out at the guard gate....find the place in the parking lot got string, and tied down my purchases. The issue - when I arrive in the back 3 employees were working in the pick-up dock...not one offered to assist...and they all left, one at a time...leaving me alone in the pick-up area. I know this is a new store. At this early stage, maybe some additional training is needed...in how to preform their jobs....and what exactly Customer service is. Also, you need tie down supplies IN the pick-up area, not in your front parking lot. Knowing the store only opened a month ago, I hope things improve ...in time.
The worst god awful experience dealing with Xavier and junior at the service center. Tried to return a shower door and they couldn’t look it up, because the refused to call the store in Cuyahoga Falls. I had to personally call the other store and do the job of these two. Asked them why they didn’t do it and they said it’s not their job. Do yourself a favor and go to Home Depot or Lowe’s.
Really big not as I expected the only way to get all the good deals has to do rebates Im not a rebates person one day Ill get the hang of the store a lot of people talk good about it Ill give it many chances before I quit on it. Put on all the place was really clean organize it was just very large.
For the foreseeable future I will be a Menards shopper. They have methods in place to keep the number of people in the building below the recommended capacity. No kids under 16, no babies, no animals unless its a service animal. You have to wear a mask to get in, and if you dont have one the service counter will sell you one for a buck. Floor and sidewalk outside are both marked 6 feet apart. This is what it looks like when a business cares about you and I. They deserve our business.
Menards is my new favorite home improvement store. Very helpful staff. I would have given it 5 stars if the BBQ/ grilling selection was more comprehensive (no Weber products) but all in all, better prices, better staff, and better selection, its my go to store. Okay, one odd thing, they play Menards commercials over the piped in store music, WTF Im already in the store, why the commercials?
Generally speaking I really like shopping at Menards. However this location in the worst. I usually drive to the store thats 20 minutes further from my house because you get way better service. I didnt do so this time and really regret it. Was there 45 minutes while they tried and failed to find a special order.
Lost my business. I will not support a store that doesnt support my choices. I will not wear a mask nor do I appreciate you charging $1 to buy one. Capitolizing from the pandemic is shameful. Your policy is ridiculous. Your staff doesnt even wear them correctly. Heading elsewhere until this policy is change then I will reevaluate the store.
Went in there they said you have to have a mask to, of course theyre happy to sell you one. When I was walking around I employees stocking shelves and walking around with no mask or it was around there neck. I went in there for something there Web site said was in stock but they didnt have it, seems they have a poor selection on anything.
I must say that my experience with Menards is cool. Menards is so big I still have to go back again and look around the store another time. They have the cheapest speakers OMG they are going to put all those other electrical companies out of business I saw things in there that they sell at other electrical shops very cheap they have electrical wire very cheap Im just hoping that they stay on top of their game because they are going to give all the other hardwares a run for their money trust me I mean when you go there that place is huge they have a very large selection of of light and camping gear Im like is this a warehouse for what couldnt be like home Depot they take home Depot out the box and Im a very great shopper at home Depot I dont shop at Lowes as much because they dont have what home Depot has
Management at this store is clueless after one month and a half into the health pandemic all of a sudden it’s policy to wear a mask and they want to charge you one dollar to buy one of theirs what a scam what a way just to make extra money but yet let’s not enforce your employees to wear the mask correctly nose hanging out the top and mask halfway fallen down their face. Idiots
Lots of unique hardware store items not available at other retailers like Lowes and Depot. Also sell random groceries and as seen on TV items. Oh wait I saw a recliner there too.Edit. Their delivery service isnt that great. They dont give you any delivery window you have to call the delivery guy in the morning. Also they say they can deliver it anywhere but dont explain that they wont carry things to your backyard they only forklift it, so if you have a fence they will drop it off on your driveway.
Terrible customer service, specially by Kevin the delivery manager.Had a garage door delivered, stacked on a cart under 40 pieces of lumber. We refused it when the 1st piece we opened was bend. He wanted to charge us a restocking fee of 25%, or wait 3 weeks to get another one. As of today still waiting to get a refund. Had to talk to the store manager and start a dispute with the credit card company.
First Menards Ive ever been in, have to say I love it.They have the local competition matched or even usually bested in prices and availability (closest other diy stores are both home Depot and Lowes)As if right now they are still offering an 11% rebate EVERYTHING literally EVERY purchase. The staff is very helpful for finding things in the very large store. They have just about every kind of diy material and tools you could ask for, even indoor and outdoor furniture, a small pets section, and even some food products and so much more they even have to have a 2nd level to fit everything in.Just take a look around, but plan to have a bit of time as again the place is huge
Purchased 40 concert block to make a sidewalk and 15 bags of stones. Went back to pick them up didnt have the bag of stones. Asked some worker there and said he would go check. So u went and loaded the 40 blocks, kid never came back. So we found another worker there and said he would check for us. He found out that they didnt have any in stock. How come the other worker couldnt find out but the other one could. So then we had to go back in wait in line and get a credit.
The sales papers when 1st opened made me think it was going to great shopping there. Reality, little high on prices for most stuff. Parking is hard to get, my guess that will change after store is open longer. It is a huge store, and you will go in circles trying to find what youre looking for, but they probably have it somewhere in there.
Not really impressed. Only 2 stars for a wide selection but if you are looking for really great deals, probably not gonna fund them there. It pays to shop around and going to their store was to get a better idea of prices and I was not impressed with that at all. If you are not rich and dont have to shop around, you would probably like it.
The staff were unprofessional. I asked for the location of a product no less than 4 times. Not once did an employee offer to help guide me to the product, and the location kept changing depending on the person. I ended up leaving this store and going to a local chain, who were happy to guide me to the product and answer my questions.
My second attempt at curbside pickup was worse than the first. I was notified by email that my order was ready for pickup. I arrived at the store at 11:55am. My order code was scanned at an access gate. I then parked in a designated pick up parking spot. I called the number indicated on the sign. The call was eventually picked up after many rings. I gave my order number and parking spot number at 12:05 pm. At 12:30, I called again and after many rings, someone from the building department picked up and said I called the wrong department. I went inside to the order pick up desk and the associate told me her phone had not rung. She did find my order but wouldn’t bring it to my car. She had to call someone else to do that. I finished this pickup at 12:45. This store does not have functioning curbside pickup. Be prepared to go inside and wait.
I have suffered from a serious medical condition for years. Therefore I am physically incapable of wearing a mask. I was kicked out of this establishment for not wearing a mask even after making the rude employee aware of my condition. I was told I would not be tolerated and could not shop here. I am telling many people of this experience and neither me nor my entire family will ever shop at Menards again. This is what socialism looks like....
Help is non-existent. Waiting time if you can track someone down is considerable. If they didnt have the apartment size refrigerator I wanted I would have walked back out. Prices are higher than home Depot on everything. That have more candy and food than tools. What is this place for?
Went there to do a curb side pickup, however the spaces were all full & had to wait. Once parked, called the phone number listed on the sign but no one answered. Finally gave up and went inside where to my surprise there was no line. Couldnt figure out where all the people that were taking up pick up spaces in the parking lot were. There was no time limit posted on the pick up spots, so maybe eveyone was shopping. Poor way to run a pick up service.....
Couple tips. Dont be rude to your customers and call them buddy when clearly you are not. If you do not know where something is do not act like you do and walk us in a complete circle through the whole store. And lastly I understand it must be so boring working that you have to talk to your coworkers and completely get upset when a customer asks for help. Thanks menards for showing me home depot is still right up the street
I love Menards. Their prices are lower than the other big box stores, they have great sales and specials all the time, and they have a larger and better selection of products. Menards is always my first stop for home repairs, remodeling, or when Im working on a project whether its in the house or outside in the yard or garden. Its true, you save BIG money at Menards.
If you like full service, friendly & knowledgeable staff, amazing attention to customer service and detail, youll want to visit Menards. While considering new kitchen cabinets, we were greeted by Jessica who designed a cabinet package for our renovation, and we walked out with our new cabinets. Lighting, cabinets, DIY projects, there is no place like Menards.

2021-09-11Took my dad to buy a dehumidifier because his broke and stopped working. Menards had the best price on dehumidifiers. Menards is $40 cheaper regular price then subtract 11% rebate even more cheaper. Menards is giant store to explore did not go through the whole store probably need to pack a lunch to do that. Very clean and very bright. Menards is a giant hardware store on steroids with very reasonable prices. I will be definitely going back again.

2022-04-07Definitely has a different selection then Lowes and Home Depot. Ive gotten doors, bathtub, toilets from here. They also sell toys which is nice to grab on the way out. Overall welcoming environment, registers can be a bit slow and takes a while to take things down that are not in the aisles.

2022-04-25Great. They had weed and feed bag that was probably about 25lbs for 16.00 with tax 18 dollars and change which was great for me since it was raining and all i did was spread the weed and feed over my lawn front and back. They have lots of items to choose from. So it depends upon your need so check out the one nearest you

2022-06-28I had never been in there before never heard of it Menards I was impressed very clean they sell a lot of different things I got the impression of upscale yet not pricey thats a great combinationThey have a garden center though thats unimpressive but the rest of the store was nice I liked .They have everything there in a way I cant explain it but try to check out is a whole other story I went back for a second time and both times you get to the checkout and its like a ghost town store was never crowded each time yet it seems difficult to check out for some reason.customer service wise one young lady was extremely helpful help me to find things I needed actually went with me Id say she was the only one the other encounters I had well they couldnt be bothered just saying and again the checkout area forget about it.I said to myself stores want to sell stuff and they have nice stuff and good prices but they dont really have it set up well when you want to pay for them it didnt make sense to me well thats my two cents.

2022-05-29This store is my fiances guilty pleasure. If were on a mission I speed past the store😂 but I try often to surprise him with random pop-ups so I can enjoy the expression on his face😍
